In 1865, the 9,000-acre Rancho El Tinieblo was founded in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. The name, which means “the absence of light,” comes from the heavy fog that shrouds the ranch every morning. It was also the name given to the mezcal produced from the ranch’s wild agave.

After lying dormant for decades, the Peréz-Salinas family revived the Rancho El Tinieblo in 1986. When we discovered the original stone wheel used for crushing agave, we were inspired to use our own ancestral recipe to restore the ranch’s legacy of producing single-origin, hand-distilled, and sustainably harvested mezcal.

Luna Obscura Will Host A Music Festival On A Mexican Mezcal Farm!

Luna Obscura is a new music and consciousness festival hosted at Rancho El Tinieblo, the working farm for the world famous Mezcal brand. From October 7-11, 2021, house and techno wizards like Oliver Koletzki and Nick Warren will provide the soundtrack alongside numerous health and spa services like yoga, dance therapy, and massages.

A current trend in music festivals is maximizing on the setting, ushering attendees towards landscapes they may never be able to see at another time. Rancho El Tinieblo is a 9,000 acre estate with beautiful views of the Mexican heartland. Attendees can take safari rides and horse tours to escape into nature for an afternoon as well.

There is a bar, restaurant, swimming pool and other amenities to ensure the comfort for guests whether they are camping or purchase onsite lodging. Tickets are inclusive of all activities, food, nonalcoholic beverages, accommodations, and transportation to and from Monterrey.

I’ve used perplexity now for close to 6 months or more, and there hasn’t been a person I’ve came across whom I haven’t pointed toward the app. It is by far the most useful tool I’ve ever came across for life in general. Simple questions are a no brainer for the app able to answer any simple question you can think of with more information that anyone could ask for. But when it comes to intricate questions, this is where it really shines. I’ve been blown away from the step by step answers given when I ask a question about an automotive repair. Truly amazing how quick and how accurate this app is able to answer your questions. But I think my favorite part of perplexity is how much time I’ve saved using it to shop online. If your like me and will surf the web for hours reading forums and reviews trying to find the very best product on the market at the lowest price available you need this app and you need the pro version now!! Seriously the time and money that has been saved is unreal and if you don’t quite trust its opinion it has all the Citations for where it got its answers right there for you to review. This is a 10 star app all day……! and no I don’t work for the App’s developers and was never asked to give them a good review. This app is awesome !!!

Better than google and wikipedia

Going back to a search engine feels antiquated. and the results here are usually much higher quality. plus I can bypass the dumb algorithms and censorship on google and wikipedia. I mean who isnt sick to death of useless, overly seo-optimized sites cluttering your search results? (I'm looking at you healthline, webmd, mayoclinic, clevelandclinic). occasionally an ai generated site slips into the results though, so check the sources. when you use a search engine, you ask yourself a question, write a search friendly query and start going down the rabbit hole depending on the depth of your query. well perplexity explores all the rabbit holes at once, and practically writes you a wiki page on the fly with all sources. amazing. then you ask a followup, and boom another wiki page with sources. easily the best and fastest way to explore a topic quickly and thoroughly. thank you perplexity for whacking at goog, wiki, and bull-**** SEO. if I could request one thing its this - there are people on X who I would call "aggregators" they thoroughly understand a topic and have good information linked in their messages. if you could tap into that human curation, that would be excellent.

Feb. 2024: Yep, it’s unreal

I never ever ever ever ever thought I would say “goodbye Google” I’m not affiliated with Perplexity, but I wish I was. This company has built a product that, even as a AI researcher, made my jaw drop. This thing can understand images. Let me tell you. I was doing trivia some really hard math trivia which I I could not for the life of me figure out. I decided to try perplexitys capabilities and well it to my surprise, recognized every single number on the paper correctly, as well as computed the math flawlessly. For the next hour, I couldn’t stop trying subject after subject of trivia, seeing if anything to trick it, and really the only thing that I found that could check it was my Chihuahua. It knew that the picture of the small weird looking dog was a Chihuahua but it told me it wasn’t sure if it was an Applehead or Deerhead. Hint: it’s an Applehead. You can literally take a picture of a hand written, love letter, a hand, written, love letter, and I even tried my, a mushroom growing and it will tell you everything you want to know. It’s three in the morning and perplexity AI should be banned because it’s kept me up this late playing with it.

El Tinieblo Reposado

El Tinieblo Reposado is a three-agave ensamble produced in the state of Tamaulipas and aged in former bourbon barrels.

About this mezcal

El Tinieblo Reposado is produced using traditional methods by mezcalero Don Baltazar Cruz in the state of Tamaulipas. The agaves are cooked in an earthen pit, crushed with a tahona, and the fermented in open air wooden vats. Next, the spirit is doubled-distilled in copper stills and adjusted to a final ABV of 40%. This reposado is aged from 6 to 9 months in American White Oak wooden barrels previously used for bourbon.

El Tinieblo Mezcal

El Tinieblo is a sustainability-first artisanal mezcal brand and a unique brand in that they are completely self-reliant. Rancho El Tinieblo is a 9,000 acre farm in the state of Tamaulipas where El Tinieblo grows their agave with no pesticides or insecticides. For every agave harvested, El Tinieblo plants 25 new agaves. The mezcal is produced using traditional methods and then bottled in 100% recycled glass hand-blown bottles. The ranch has been producing spirits since 1865 and has, for the most part, remained unchanged. In 1998, it came under the ownership of Alfredo Perez Salinas and the spirits began being marketed under the new brand and the Tinieblo name. The one major change that occurred was the introduction of exotic African animals such as zebras, wildebeest, oryx, water buffalo and watusi, who now roam the ranch.

In 2019, the brand raised money via the StartEngine platform at a $7.5 million pre-money valuation.

A quick tasting at a liquor store along with the anejo. Medium amber in color. Insufficient alcohol heat. Flavor and aroma are clouded by the oak influence. Very nondescript, very little agave presence, no complexity. Reminds me to never buy aged mezcal expressions at 40% ABV.

El complemento de Acrobat/Acrobat Reader para navegadores web se basa en la arquitectura complementaria de complementos de plataforma NPAPI, que ha sido compatible con todos los navegadores web principales durante más de una década. Los siguientes navegadores han rechazado la compatibilidad con NPAPI y, por lo tanto, el complemento Acrobat/Acrobat Reader no funciona en estos navegadores para mostrar el PDF.

• Google Chrome (versión de septiembre de 2015)
• Apple Safari (v12 y versiones posteriores)
• Microsoft Edge

Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer 11 utiliza un plugin basado en ActiveX. Siga los pasos que se indican a continuación para configurar Internet Explorer para utilizar el complemento Acrobat/Acrobat Reader para ver archivos PDF:

Abra Internet Explorer y, a continuación, elija Herramientas > Administrar complementos .

En Tipos de complementos, seleccione Barras de herramientas y extensiones .

En el menú Mostrar, seleccione Todos los complementos .

En la lista de complementos, seleccione Adobe PDF Reader .

Si no puede ver el complemento Adobe PDF Reader, pruebe con las otras opciones del menú. Por ejemplo, en algunos sistemas, el complemento aparece cuando se selecciona Ejecutar sin permiso.

Haga clic en el botón de Habilitar o Deshabilitar (cambia de acuerdo con el estado del complemento seleccionado):

Habilitar hace que el complemento Adobe PDF Reader sea el que abra los PDF en el navegador.

Deshabilitar desactiva el complemento para que no abra los PDF en el navegador.
