Pixies announce UK & European tour dates for 2025 and share Motoroller single

Black Francis and co have shared a new single and confirmed their plans to play dates on this side of the pond. Find out how you can be there.

Pixies have shared a new single and announced a tour for 2025.

The Gigantic fourpiece will head out on dates on this side of the pond this year, which will kick off at Utrecht, Netherlands on 25th April and includes nine dates across the likes of UK at London’s O2 Academy Brixton and Leeds O2 Academy, before concluding at O2 Apollo Manchester on 24th May.

Tickets for Pixies new dates go on general sale here on 20th September from 9am BST and pre-sales start from Wednesday 18th September.

With the new live dates comes Motoroller, the fourth track to be released from the band's forthcoming album, The Night the Zombies Came, which is set for release on 25th October via BMG.

Speaking on the track, frontman Francis Black says: “This is one of those kinds of songs where there's little threads you can follow and they take you somewhere. But they're not required for the experience. You can just start fishing around in the lyrics, and maybe you won't find exactly what the story is, but you'll find a story related to the city of Berlin. So just have fun with the clues that are there.”

Motoroller follows previously released tracks their double A-side You’re So Impatient/Que Sera, Sera, Oyster Beds and Chicken.

Thomas Rhett Announces Massive ‘Better In Boots Tour 2025’

On Monday (September 16), Thomas Rhett announced the dates and locations for his sprawling Better In Boots Tour 2025 . The run of shows begins in June of next year, and will see the country superstar hitting thirty cities on his jaunt in support of his just-released seventh album, About A Woman . Rhett will be playing arenas and amphitheaters in major music markets across the United States, along with one Canadian date in Toronto on July 17. Tucker Wetmore will be direct support on the tour, along with special guests the Castellows and Dasha opening select dates. Rhett made his tour announcement with a post on Instagram , and he is clearly excited to bring his nearly two-dozen Country Airplay No. 1 hits to his legion of passionate fans, captioning his post, “So pumped to announce the BETTER IN BOOTS TOUR 2025!! Can’t wait to hit the road next summer with @tuckerwetmore, @thecastellows & @dashamusic! I’ll see y’all there!”  ( All Country News )

Teddy Swims is heading on a UK tour and you can't miss out on tickets – What More Can I Say?

Georgia singer-songwriter Teddy Swims has had an interesting and diverse background. Born and raised in the southern state as the grandson of a pastor, Jaten Dimsdale was involved in both American football and musical theatre during high school.

He also joined bands of different genres, from country to rock, hip-hop, soul and funk. Just how did he manage to balance all this? Well, Some Things I'll Never Know.

Dimsdale, now going by the name Teddy Swims, started taking his music online in 2019 and, in a fairytale twist for the modern age, one of his covers went viral, opening The Door to a deal with Warner Records.

2020 saw Teddy Swims start to write his own original music, and write he did. The singer-songwriter created over 300 songs, leading him to become a 2021 Artist to Watch by Rolling Stone.

Since 2008, Jennifer Waits has been visiting and reporting back on her radio station tours , complete with historical information and countless photos of station spaces. Think funky couches, shiny audio equipment, hand-written warning signs, sticker-covered cabinets, and shelves full of music.

As of October 19, 2023, she’s written field trip reports representing more than 173 visits to stations all over the United States and Ireland. Included in her radio station tours are high school radio stations, college radio stations, community radio stations, commercial radio stations, pop-up radio stations, unlicensed radio stations, and more.

On the occasion of her 100th tour report ( to Princeton University’s WPRB ) in 2016, we celebrated the field trip series on the Radio Survivor podcast and Jennifer shared some fun facts and a list of the first 99 tours . As we approached the 150th visit, it was a fitting time to create a proper archive on Radio Survivor, so that one can easily revisit a decade’s worth of reports. Harlem native Lord Sear is a man of many talents and a legend in the world of hip-hop. He started as a tour DJ and has traveled the world with none other than Eminem. He has done skits for Big Pun, the X-Ecutioners, and the Beastie Boys, and was a voice on Grand Theft Auto 3 and The Slim Shady Show DVD. Not only does he DJ and rap, but he is a video game expert and food connoisseur. Most recently, Sear was featured in the Netflix documentary Stretch and Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives.
