OK Go are a pop rock band from Chicago, US comprising of: Damian Kulash (lead vocals), Tim Nordwind (bass), Dan Konopka (drums) and Andy Ross (guitar/keys) formed in 1998.

Throughout their career, this colourful band have actively diversified their sound while retaining their recognisable poppy rock sound. Inspired by the likes of Queen and Cheap Trick, OK Go have tried to emulate the same happy-go-lucky atmosphere those bands were so eloquently able to create. Taking advantage of the rising popularity of online platforms such as YouTube, this DIY band began making homemade quirky and extravagant music videos and soon they became a viral sensation.

It took until 2005 for OK Go to garner the attention they needed to catapult them into the spotlight. Self-releasing their first material in the form of “Brown EP” (2000) and “Pink EP” (2001) the band experimented with a more electronic sound, hoping that these releases would land them a record deal. Despite not signing any deals, the band caught the attention of booking agent Frank Riley who helped them secure several support slots with They Might Be Giants.

Moving to the big smoke New York, US in 2001, the band relentlessly played small shows and plastered their posters all over the city creating an excitable buzz from both media and fans alike. Soon they caught the attention of Universal Music Group subsidiary Capitol Records and signed with them in April 2001. Their self-titled debut album released in 17 September 2002 hit number one on Billboard’s Top Heatseekers Album chart featuring their popular hits “Get Over It” and “Don’t Ask Me”.

The 2006 video for “Here It Goes Again” became an internet sensation as it went viral across the world. With a simple yet ingenious concept of the band performing a quirky dance routine on treadmills in one single take, OK Go managed to notch up over 50 million YouTube views. In 2007 the band were awarded a Grammy for Best Short Form Music Video and continues remain a memorable visual piece.

Touring across the world, the band have also had the privilege of performing at President Barack Obama’s 50th birthday celebration on 3 August 2011 playing alongside Jennifer Hudson and Herbie Hancock.

With their trademark low budget quirky videos and infectious pop rock, as long as there are video sharing platforms OK Go will continue to outdo themselves creating wacky, inventive and unforgettable music videos.

Live reviews

When you think of OK Go, you probably think of the inventive, viral music videos and wonder if they can be that fun live. Fortunately, the Chicago-based alt-rock band delivers on that curiosity in spades.

Interactivity and fun where the words of the day from the moment they stepped out on stage to begin their energetic set. Confetti bombs were launched on a regular basis, starting with the set-opening, catchy anthem "Invincible." This successfully set up the feeling of the show being equal parts concert and wild party. You could easily tell that the band members were having fun up there, joking and interacting with each other and the audience regularly while constantly referencing the viral videos that they are so well known for. They wanted to party with us, and they sure did.

The second half of the show perhaps best exemplified OK Go's spirit. Towards the end of the set, they channeled their signature creativity into a rendition of "What to Do" done entirely with assorted hand bells and mic-mounted cameras providing an intimate, close up look.

For the encore, they went full on Flaming Lips-esque psychedelic craziness: jackets with flashing lights, guitars emblazoned with fur and neon colors, lasers, the works. It was truly an amazing sight. With all of the visual excitement, it's easy to forget that the songs themselves are catchy, well-crafted alternative rock tunes that form a solid foundation for the wild night out that is an OK Go concert. Great fun for anyone who likes to party while they rock out.

OK Go came out in the crowd and did a Q&A!! What isn't there to love?! Many haven't closely followed the career of OK Go, but they really have done some amazing things since winning the Grammy for Video of the Year for "Here It Goes Again."

Following a successful junior studio album, OK Go are now ready to captivate audiences again with their fourth album out for release in October. In June, the band released an EP titled Upside Out which features four songs which can be heard on the anticipated Hungry Ghosts album.

OK Go had amazing energy playing for their new home crowd at the Twilight Concerts at the Santa Monica Pier. The group played for an hour and a half of pure crowd head bobbing energy thumping tunes. The group opened with mostly songs from the EP and new album and ended the set with older material. Impromptu crowd Q&A as well as an improvised rendition of Javer's song from Les Miserables were extra added bonuses for the Los Angeles audience. Damian Kulash the lead singer of OK Go also ventured into the audience to do a slower song which he referred to as a bit of a slow reggae bit in the show. Another highlight was the on stage recording of audince sounds which were then programmed as a back beat to which the band sang over. It was actually quite fun and a great way to engage the crowd.

OK Go was incredibly entertaining to watch and I will definitely be seeing them again as well as buying the new album on October 14th!

These guys put on a fantastic show!! The music is fun, lively and they mix up old and new. They play a great set, high energy, good to dance to or jump around.

They mix in alot from their new album, which comes out October 2014. Great songs, they are really growing on me! They are different from their older stuff, kinda funky and easy to dance to. A couple sounded like throw-backs to the 70's and 80's. I love this band because they keep changing it up and coming up with songs that sound great, but very different than before. This album is upbeat and sounds good on the first listen. Their live shows are always great fun!! Last night at Santa Monica Pier was very cool, outdoor, under the moonlight. Eclectic crowd and lots of energy!! The sound system was fair, but the guys put on a great show. I missed the confetti though!!!!

My only complaint about the OK GO concert is that the rest of my life seems dull and pointless afterwards.

The band has such a huge personality, and when they get on stage it's hard to look away. They are a group of nerds that made it, and they embrace this aspect of themselves, with the quirkiest live show I have ever been to. Their set list was an awesome mix of their biggest hits and songs from their new ep, from "Here It Goes Again" to a new song "I Won't Let You Down". The interactions with the crowd was borderline aggressive in the most entertaining and engaging way possible. I promise that everyone in the audience left the concert madly in love with the band (and probably everyone else in the audience as well).

TSUTAYA O-EAST, Tokyo, Japan

It was my first time seeing OK Go gig. My reference number was A79.

The show started on 19:15. The average age of the audience was about 30. Lots of confetti. We were able to take photos and movie. They played 19 songs. Thanks, OK Go.

The configuration of the show was awesome. Music, talk, Q & A (with a translator), video. They know how to make us high.

I was able to see member after the show(out of the venue). But I couldn't speak to guys. I was too shy. Another fans were able to take photos with them.

OK Go is very kind to fans.

The show was unlike anything I had ever been to. This was no an actual concert per say. We were in a sit down theater type venue. The band performed songs after giving us a brief history or story to go along with the song, and the original music video played on a large screen in the back ground. This was a much more intimate show than a regular stand and scream jump concert. They even had an app to download where the audience was the music. This was an all ages show, which included children from age 3 to older children age 73. It was very interactive and amazing!

Last night's show at The Vic in Chicago was another fun and exciting OK Go concert experience. Confetti. Every time I see them, there is always some highlight of the evening that makes each show stand out from every other one I've been to. Confetti. Loved the couple of cover tunes they jammed yesterday and of course being one of the hundred or so people invited onto the stage for the last minute of the encore was a great way to wrap up the night. Confetti. Thanks for a great time guys! BTW, in case you didn't notice, confetti is EVERYWHERE :)

The OK GO concert was good. I never really listen to them at home, except seeing their YouTube videos, which are awesome. So although I liked the concert I sort of expected it to be more experimental with regards to how they performed and interacted with the audience. They had a couple of fun parts, but mostly it was just a normal concert. So for normal concert: good, I would go again :) For OK GO concert: expected at bit more out of the ordinary

One of the best concerts I've ever been to. I liked these guys before but this made me love them more. They're not just musicians standing there playing music, they're entertainers utilizing everything they can to mage the experience amazing for the audience including nonstop confetti, visual effects, choreography, Q&A segments, and more. Seriously incredible and a might I'll never forget :)

This was truly an amazing show. The band interacted with the audience, with the children, asking questions and having really creative and fun responses. Their theatrics were wonderful, keeping the crowd entertained, while encompassing their entire discography and making us feel nostalgic for old Ok Go, and reinforcing our love for their music and talents by performing newer material.

ok go band tour

Superstar singer, actor and dancer Jennifer Lopez is making her highly anticipated return to the touring with the "This Is Me…Now The Tour," which includes an Oklahoma stop.

The newly announced North American tour marks J.Lo's comeback to touring after a five-year break following her successful 2019 trek, which grossed more than $50 million and sold out venues across the country.

Produced by Live Nation, the "This Is Me…Now The Tour" includes a July 24 Oklahoma show at Tulsa's BOK Center.

The summer outing will feature Lopez performing songs from her catalog of hits as well as from her new album "This Is Me…Now," due out Feb. 16.

Summer tour is supporting J.Lo's new album and film

Thursday's "This Is Me…Now The Tour" announcement precedes the release of Lopez's new album as well as the debut of the accompanying film, the Amazon Original "This Is Me…Now: A Love Story," streaming globally starting Feb. 16 on Prime Video.

The film is the companion piece to "This Is Me…Now," her first studio album in nearly a decade. Described as "Jennifer Lopez’s story, in Jennifer Lopez’s words," the collection blends elements of pop, R&B and hip hop.

Writing and recording at her Los Angeles home in 2022 and 2023, Lopez collaborated on the album with a lineup of hit producers, including Rogét Chahayed, Angel Lopez and Jeff "Gitty" Gitelman. Additional songwriter-producers include HitBoy, Tay Keith, Yeti Beats, Carter Lang, Kim "Kaydence" Krysiuk, Jason Derulo and Brandon Riester, who served as A&R for the project.

“Can't Get Enough," the first single from "This Is Me…Now," is available on all platforms.

Most recently, Lopez was featured in Dunkin Donuts’ Super Bowl LVIII commercial alongside her husband Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Tom Brady, and she dropped a new version of “Can’t Get Enough," featuring Latto, which she performed on "Saturday Night Live."
