This morning, you'll take a sightseeing tour, which includes as visit to the Saadian tombs, one of the world's finest examples of Moorish architecture, where classic archways are covered in gold leaf and stucco work.

You'll also see the Bahia Palace, famed for its 50 marble columns, which was once acclaimed as the world's most beautiful palace. We also visit the famous souks or covered markets, where immensely skilled craftsmen create intricate leatherware, jewellery and furniture.

At dusk, after dinner in the hotel, you'll visit the Jemaa el-Fnaa square, where you'll get a snapshot of traditional Moroccan life, with a fantastic spectacle of musicians, dancers, fortune-tellers and snake charmers.

One of the prettiest parks is the Jardin Majorelle, formerly owned by Yves Saint-Laurent, where you'll see an amazing display of bamboo, bougainvillaea and cacti.

Surrounding the city are impressive ramparts stretching 19 miles long, still largely intact with imposing forts at various intervals. The gates are fine examples of classic Moorish architecture with their pastel hues changing colours depending on the time of day and the intensity of the light.

The afternoon is yours to spend exploring more of Marrakech at your own pace, or simply relaxing in your hotel and taking advantage of its excellent facilities.

Today you'll enjoy a scenic drive to the delightful coastal town of Essaouira, which came to prominence during the 15th century when the Portuguese established the medieval citadel that still stands today.

Here you'll discover a labyrinth of tranquil squares and perfectly preserved streets, lined by whitewashed houses and pavement cafes. Enjoy strolling through the markets here, where the stalls groan under the weight of colourful fresh fruit and vegetables.

Or simply wander along the harbour, bustling with a hive of activity and where fishermen repair their nets as they have done for centuries.

You'll then return to your hotel in time for dinner.

Today you'll discover Marrakech's ever-present backdrop, the soaring, snow-capped Atlas Mountains.

This morning, you'll take a drive into the beautiful foothills, where the countryside evolves from saffron-coloured fields to steeper, wooded slopes. Dramatic peaks tower more than 3,000 metres high, carpeted with a patchwork of forests and misty plains. There'll be plenty of time to take in the spectacular vistas, including a stop to stretch your legs and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea.

After a morning of sightseeing, you'll return to Marrakech in the early afternoon, where you'll have the rest of the day at leisure, giving you ample time to make the most of your final day in this wonderful city.

“ Fantastic tour of hidden places in Marrakesh ”

I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Medina of Marrakesh. There are so many hidden places that you would just walk by and not understand what they are. Abdellatif’s tour shows you hidden places and explains the history of the Medina, which is currently disappearing under our noses. Every year that goes by, it becomes more and more difficult to save these historical places within the Medina and by having a walking tour with Abdellatif I really could understand the history, and set up of the entire Medina in a way I never could have without his expertise. It was amazing to walk around and see all the tourists just walking by places, or shopping in cute shops, not knowing the real history the places. Very worthwhile if you want to understand , this very special place. Abdellatif was very professional. He arrived early and was very kind and generous with his information. I would highly recommend him to anybody.

Our next destination is the Telouat Kasbah.

Continuing our adventure, we’ll visit the renowned Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a fortified village that has earned UNESCO World Heritage status. This Kasbah has also played a role in various movies like Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and popular TV series like Game of Thrones. Our final stop for the day is Ouarzazate, often referred to as “The gate of the desert.” Here, we’ll enjoy dinner and spend the night in a hotel.

Drive by the paved Corniche of Ain Diab before getting to the famous Ricks Cafe where the Casablanca movie was shot. Later, we will get to your hotel where you will spend your first night.

2nd day : Ouarzazate – Skoura – Amridil Kasbah – Rose valley -Dades Valley

After breakfast, we will continue our  8 days Morocco tour itinerary  from  Marrakech   where we’ll explore Ouarzazate, visiting the famous Atlas Studios where they made movies and the ancient Taourirt Kasbah, a cool mud castle. Then we’ll drive east to see the Amridil Kasbah, surrounded by palm trees in Skoura, and head to Kalaa Magouna, known for the Rose Valley where they have a Rose Festival in May, selling rose stuff like perfume and rose water. Next, we’ll drive to Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades, stopping to see the “monkey fingers” rock shapes and enjoy the view from a mountain. We’ll end the day with dinner and a night in a Boumalne Dades hotel.

3rd day : Boumalne Dades – Todra Gorges -Erfoud -Merzouga Sahara – overnight in a luxury camp

You can take your time exploring the gorges and admiring the beautiful scenery. Then, we’ll drive through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, with some free time for lunch on the way.

In the afternoon, we’ll reach the Merzouga Sahara desert. Here, you’ll switch to camels for a ride across the sandy desert. We’ll make a stop so you can witness the mesmerizing sunset from the top of a tall dune. Afterward, we’ll continue to the luxurious desert camp, where you can enjoy Berber drum music, dance around a campfire, and gaze at the vast starry sky. Dinner and overnight stay will be in the camp.

4th day : Explore Merzouga region – Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga lake – Erg Chebbi

After an early morning wake-up, don’t miss the chance to see a beautiful desert sunrise. Take some time for breakfast, and then hop on camels for a ride back to Merzouga, where your driver is waiting. Today, our 8 days morocco tour itinerary from marrakech will take us to explore Merzouga region, which has lots of cool places like sand dunes, a wild lake, mines, fossil areas, and oases – perfect for outdoor fun.

5th day: Merzouga Dunes – Erfoud – Midelt – cedars forest – Ifrane – Fes

After breakfast, we’ll say goodbye to the desert and head to Rissani town, which used to be the ancient capital of Tafilalet. After a stroll through the Rissani souk, we’ll move on to Erfoud, where we’ll visit one of the workshops that make cool stuff from fossilized marble.

Next, we’ll follow the Ziz river and make a stop for a great view of the Ziz valley. You’ll have some free time for lunch in Midelt. We need a tour guide on some of the days to show us the best part of Marrakech and may be a visit to Ouarzazate.

Any recommendations? Or will I be able to find someone when we reach to Marrakech

Hi thank you for your reply.

We will be driving to Agadir, Esseoura, Oureka Valley.

Tour guide is needed more to learn the history and to show us hidden gems :)

As has already been pointed out to you, a good guidebook is sufficient. There's more history in them than in the heads of most guides. If you get Rough Guides or an older edition of Lonely Planet (the latest version has been abridged) you're good to go.

Outside of a Ourika valley tour, your locations have easy public transportation to get there.

In Marrakech having a car rental us mostly useless and often counterproductive.

Why not just hire a guide at the sights when you get to them. Remember that a Marrakech guide can not go into the main sights outside Marrakech. So hiring one is not really worth much and would be very expensive , as you need to pay their hotel bill, their time (all day is a lot of hours) and their food.

Outside of Ourika, none of those places are day trips the places you want to go are 6 to 8 hours driving. Far too much to day trip.

Plus how do your toddlers do with long drives. Would they be able to sleep on these long drives?
