Description

Let your sprinkler do the moving for you. Orbit’s Traveling Sprinkler is a self-propelled sprinkler that uses water pressure to move along a hose path that you set to create your personalized watering system (hose not included). Compatible with 5/8-in. hose, this sprinkler can traverse up to 200 ft. The body is made of cast iron, which weighs the sprinkler down and ensures it travels along the hose path without stalling. Spiked rear wheels and durable gears provide smooth, dependable travel. The rotary spray provides even coverage; simply twist each spray arm to adjust the watering diameter from a minimum of 15 ft. to a maximum coverage of 55 ft. Its three-speed settings allow for different rates of coverage; select from high, low, or neutral speed control. In high gear, the sprinkler travels approximately 37 ft. per hour and applies about ¼ in. of water. In low gear, the sprinkler travels approximately 21 ft. per hour and applies about ½ inch of water. Set it to neutral to use it as a stationary sprinkler. Use the specialty ramp to stop at any location along the hose length to turn off the sprinkler – the sprinkler stops when its shut-off plunger contacts the ramp stop.

For smooth lawns

Great concept but let down a little by cheap build quality. Works ok with 18mm hose after I built up the front wheel cavity to give the auto off switch a little more clearance. Now good on very smooth lawn but often turns off when grass or surface is uneven. Would also not recommend using more than 30mt of 18mm hose as it can bog down with longer lengths.

Travelling Sprinkler Motor Assembly Kit Spare Part was provided in satisfactory time, however the Motor Assembly itself was missing the internal gear required for low gear. Very poor quality, which means the original Traveling Sprinkler is also useless since a good spare part cannot be obtained.

Needed a replacement wheel for one of my 7700h sprinklers after I reversed my lawn tractor onto it and broke the wheel, and bent the axle. But the rest of the motor assembly was still good, surprisingly I could straighten the bent axle, but still needed a new wheel. The whole motor assembly was excellent value since it includes wheels, drive shaft and all of the parts that may eventually need replacement, so a far better way to go. Technical service was great as well.

I have 2 of this Holman travelling sprinklers. It is so handy just the fact that I don't have to keep time and shift sprinklers. the motor assembly kit makes repairs a breaze, thank you ten out of ten
