This Evolution Travel review will determine if you can really make money with this opportunity. Don’t dare join until you have read this review!

What is Evolution Travel?

EvolutionTravel.com is a travel MLM founded by David McCovy in 2015. They are known as a “cloud-based travel agency”. Their headquarters is based in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Evolution Travel Product Line

There isn't really a product line for Evolution Travel. They don't have any products themselves. All they're selling is travel discounts, coupons, and packages on things like:

  • Tickets to concerts, sporting events, theme parks, etc.

How Much Does It Cost To Be An Evolution Professional Travel Agent?

With Evolution Travel, you pay a  one-time fee plus a monthly fee .

You pay $30 to join and become a Professional Travel Agent. You also need to pay a $69.95 monthly administration fee. Professional Travel Agents (PTAs) get the following:

  • 90% commission on travel sales (PTAs get 80%, and their recruiter gets 10%)
  • A customizable travel website
  • Direct access to worldwide vendors
  • Travel training
  • Residual income
  • A discount directory that includes 20-60% off of travel services and experiences
  • Tax benefits
  • Team building

Once you get your customizable website and training, you are in the travel business!

Evolution Travel Compensation Plan

Evolution Travel's compensation plan is quite detailed and complex, but here is a breakdown of each level and the commission associated with each level.

  • Consultant/PTA, with the benefits listed above
  • Executive Consultant, who has sold 3 PTA memberships: 13% residual commissions
  • Bronze Consultant, who has sold 6 PTA memberships: 14% residual commissions
  • Silver Consultant, who has sold 9 PTA memberships: 20% residual commissions
  • Gold Consultant, who has sold 15 PTA memberships, and has 3 silver consultants in at least 3 legs of business: 12% residual commissions
  • Platinum Consultant, who has at least 300 active PTA memberships, with no more than 1/3 of the total coming from any particular lineage: 30% residual commissions
  • 1 Star Platinum Consultant, who has at least 500 active PTA memberships, with no more than 1/3 of the total coming from any particular lineage: 30% residual commissions
  • 2 Star Platinum Consultant, who has at least 1,500 active PTA memberships, with no more than 1/3 of the total coming from any particular lineage: 30% residual commissions
  • 3 Star Platinum Consultant, who has at least 3,000 active PTA memberships, with no more than 1/3 of the total coming from any particular lineage: 11% residual commissions
  • And so on up to 8 Star Platinum Consultants, with 100,000 PTA memberships and a monthly bonus of $100,000.

Like with most MLMs, there are so many levels and different commission structures for each level, so if this makes your head spin, I don’t blame you! Fortunately, there are businesses with straightforward compensation such as Wealthy Affiliate . They can help you start an online business where you will be able to work with major companies like Amazon and eBay that pay you in a nice straightforward manner.

But if you're not looking for a business opportunity at the moment and just want to make some extra side income, you may want to try free sites like SurveyJunkie.com and Swagbucks.com .

How Much Money Can Evolution Travel Agents Make?

Unfortunately, Evolution Travel doesn't post an Income Disclosure Statement. This immediately set off alarms in my mind. Why aren't they being clear regarding how much you can earn as other MLMs do? How much you can earn is anyone's guess really.

What We Like About Evolution Travel

Let’s have a look at some of the things we like about this company.

Good Partnerships

Although Evolution Travel is relatively new and only founded in 2015, they have partnered with a very experienced travel company known as Archer Travel Group who were founded in 1952. So it’s a positive sign that they are partnered with one of the pioneers in the travel industry. The founder of Evolution Travel, Mr. McCovy also has quite a bit of experience under his belt by founding two other MLMs; namely Paycation (now known as TraVerus Global ) and 5LINX .

Good BBB Rating

If you put a lot of faith into these ratings, you should be pleased to know that they have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau at the time of writing this review.

Evolution Travel Complaints

Let’s get into some of the complaints we discovered about Evolution Travel and we will leave it up to you to decide if these are deal breakers.

Evolution Travel is almost exactly the same system, offer, and structure as Paycation, which collapsed in 2014, the year before Evolution Travel was born. A lot of people lost money on Paycation, paying their monthly fees without earning any commissions or rewards. David McCovy's involvement in both systems might not be a good sign for the future of Evolution Travel.

Time To Recruit!

The undisguised emphasis on recruitment, with just the barest nod to actual travel-related training or services, makes it appear as an MLM scheme. For those who knowingly want to join an MLM scheme, it's one thing, but for those who sincerely want a career in the travel industry, it must be a disappointment. The FTC has warned that companies that focus on recruiting mainly are likely to be pyramid schemes.

Recruiting people to earn money isn’t for everyone. So, If you're looking for a business opportunity that doesn't require you to recruit people, you can try sites like Wealthy Affiliate . If you're just looking to make some extra income, you can also try sites like SurveyJunkie.com or Swagbucks.com . There is no recruiting involved for those sites.

No Income Disclosure Statement

While the 80% commissions sound fantastic, remember that Evolution Travel is itself an affiliate and the sales arm of the Archer Travel Group . Commissions are based on the percentage of profit after Archer has paid Evolution, and those margins may be very thin. Because they don't disclose package prices or income statements, it's difficult to assess how much travel commissions might actually be.

It’s difficult to join anything when you have no clue of the earning potential. Fortunately, there are other alternatives out there like My Best Work At Home Recommendation where you know exactly what you will earn with a straightforward commission plan.

You can also earn a side income with straightforward payment terms with sites like SurveyJunkie.com and Swagbucks.com .

Is Evolution Travel Legit or a Scam?

Evolution Travel is bordering on being a pyramid scheme because their main focus seems to be on recruiting. So personally I would avoid it.

And for those who want a legitimate travel career, Evolution Travel is probably not the best option for you either. It doesn't seem to really help you build a career in the travel and hospitality industry,  instead it will push you to focus on selling more memberships to more people in order to recover your investment.

If you're looking for a business opportunity that will enable you to make a full-time or part-time income online, you might want to try My Best Work At Home Recommendation . So, if you're interested in travel or any niche for that matter, they will teach you how to create an online business and its free to get started.

So, there you have my opinion on Evolution Travel. If you have any experience using Evolution Travel or want to share your thoughts, please feel free to leave a comment below.

Until next time,

Eddy with a Y

14 thoughts on “Evolution Travel Review: A Travel MLM Scam or Legit?”

I have been with Evolution/Archer since March 2023, having just left a 60k+ a year paycheck due to burn out. I love travel and I really love all the support and training I’ve received. I am a people person and I enjoy helping others learn and grow. While I did decide to get into the “optional” side of it by building and mentoring a team, we are first and foremost, travel agents. One of my teammates that I mentor just booked a 4-stateroom cruise for a week on land and a week on cruise in Alaska. She is less than a month into being a travel agent and the booking totaled almost $22k! Her commission check will be about $3,130. As her mentor, I will be paid about $391. But it’s not the pay that keeps me going as a mentor, it’s about the people on my team that motivate me to connect and train them. And even when I earn the 10%, I am still booking travel as well! I love the perks, the structure and the comradery. MLM? I don’t know. Scam? Definitely not!

I sat through 2 of these webinars delivered by 2 different agents and was very interested in what I saw. The deterrent was the monthly fee since my current part time income is so low and I need the money for food. I’m curious what kind of experience you’ve had earning money up to this point? Is it viable as a source of consistent income and is easy or difficult getting clients? I’m still considering signing up, but I’m on the fence until I know if I will be wasting my time or actually generating real income like I would at a regular job. I like the looks of the training and support they claim to give, but is it true and is the training detailed enough to hit the ground running?

I Love working for them. Although I don’t have a team yet I have had very good conversations. Yes there is 69.95 you can write it off at the end of the year. Keep in mind for E&O you would pay Alot more.If you get trainings on your own you have to pay, plus a website, marketing templates, Archer provides all this with that fee.Tons of support. If you stay consistent it is totally worth it 👌

I just jpined and have burned by MLMs in the past. But though we can recruit a team and get paid when they join we make nothing off anyo e they pick to build their own team and must mentor ours closely. I was with Wealthy Affiliate but dont have time to write continually to push Amazon products for pennies so webshall see how it goes!

I wish you success in whatever venture you decide on. Affiliate marketing isn’t about pushing amazon products. Amazon is one of many affiliate programs to promote. WA recommends it for beginners because they tend to accept everyone and easy to get into. But there are affiliate companies and niches that pay dollars and hundreds of it. So don’t limit yourself.

They told me it’s 69.95 since it’s the middle of summer. And that it’ll never be this low again. But now I’ve seen a bunch of people say that the 69.95 investment has been an option through many Zoom calls before. Don’t trust them.

The $69.95 is a promotional price offered by the company. The usual enrollment fee is $299.00. Evolution is choosing to continue to offer enrollment for the promotional price of $69.95 as a courtesy to anyone signing up. If they choose to continue to offer that price forever, that is their choice. That doesn’t make it a scam.

While it seems fishy with the recruitment part you don’t have to do that. It’s not a “full time job” more of a side thing to pick up extra money. I don’t recruit and have made decent commissions on just booking.

I am a full time entrepreneur and I’m also a beginner it’s the summer time I’m from Louisiana and people are ready to vacation due to the pandemic

I found a posting for a travel agent role on LinkedIn, since I’m looking for another remote job. What I’ve got now is nowhere near enough to pay the bills. I found this through a search on Archer Travel Group, probably an offshoot of Evolution. They sent me a prerecorded webinar on LinkedIn, and after reading this, I won’t be moving forward with them. I’m not gonna make a living doing my customers like this.

Sat through the hour and a half zoom call to only be told at the end how much it costs a month to continue working for them. I am extremely disappointed in them.

If you ever need help planning travel DONT use this agent. They are pleasant with receiving your money but give you complications out this world when we are greatly impacted and can’t travel!!! While Julie not to respond by email or phone is very unprofessional

I’m sorry you had that experience with one of the agents. There are competent agents willing to assist you with your needs.

for international agents ( outside the US ) is a total scam, I joined and it was the worst experience

  • Competitive market: The travel industry is highly competitive, which means you’ll need to work hard to stand out and make sales.
  • Recruiting requirements: To earn bonuses and incentives, you’ll need to recruit others to become PTAs, which may not be for everyone.
  • MLM structure: Some people may be turned off by the MLM structure of the company and prefer a more traditional business model.

Overall, while Evolution Travel is not a scam, the MLM structure and high fees may make it difficult for PTAs to make money without recruiting others to join the company. Some people might advise you to avoid it altogether.

Is Evolution Travel Legit? (SCAM Or NOT)

Evolution Travel is a travel company that offers various travel services and products, including cruises, resorts, and vacation packages.

Since 2000, Evolution Travel has been operating online, making it the foremost travel agency and tour operator to work on the cloud, separate from other web-based software.

But is it safe to book a trip using Evolution Travel?

That’s what I will be covering in this article. I will be talking about the working and the different features of Evolution Travel. Besides its legitimacy, I will discuss its policies to help you plan your travel better.

Is Evolution Travel A Scam?

Is Evolution Travel Legit?

Evolution Travel is NOT a scam. It is a registered travel agency and a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), a trade association representing airlines worldwide.

Evolution Travel’s website allows booking travel-related services like flights and vacation packages. They have been in business since 2000 and have grown gradually.

Users can search for and select travel options based on their preferences. The website provides information on pricing, availability, and itinerary details. There are two Evolution Travel agencies, one in Miami, and the other in Malta, Europe.

Once the user selects their travel options, they can make a reservation and pay through the website’s secure payment gateway. The website provides customer support through a contact form, email, or phone number.

The website is user-friendly, and booking with Evolution Travel has always been hassle-free for me.

How Does Evolution Travel Work?

Evolution Travel’s website operates as an online platform that offers a range of travel services to customers.

The website is designed to help customers book their trips easily without much uncertainty. Evolution Travel is an intermediary between travelers and travel suppliers.

Here is a general overview of how it works.

1. Search for travel options

The website allows users to search for travel options, including flights, hotels, car rentals, and vacation packages, based on their preferred travel dates, destinations, and other criteria.

They offer two main types of services – leisure travel and corporate travel . Leisure travel involves helping individuals or groups plan vacations, honeymoons, family reunions, and other personal trips.

Corporate travel involves assisting companies with arranging business travel for their employees, including flights, hotels, and car rentals.

2. Compare options

Once the user has entered their travel information, it displays a list of available options from various travel providers. Users can compare prices, availability, and other details to make an informed decision.

3. Book travel services

Users can book their chosen travel services directly through the website. The website provides a secure payment gateway to facilitate online payments. Users can receive confirmation of their bookings via email or through their online account.

4. Access customer support

Evolution Travel’s website also provides customer support through various channels, including email, phone, and a contact form . Customers can contact the company with any questions, concerns, or issues related to their bookings.

I have had a great experience with their customer service. I got to talk to an actual human 🧔‍♂️ rather than a robot 🤖, and that’s good enough for me.

How To Book Your Trip Using Evolution Travel?

It’s straightforward and fully secure to make a reservation for your journey through Evolution Travel. Once you’ve submitted an inquiry, your designated online travel consultant will contact you.

The consultant will contact you by email or telephone based on your preference. They will look to personalize your quote and proceed with the booking if the offer suits you.

You will then receive an email with details and the appropriate payment methods. Once the payment balance has been received, you will be sent your travel documents via email or first-class post, usually on the Tuesday preceding your departure.

The records are sent at least one day before your departure for last-minute offers.

There are different methods you can choose for payment as per your preference. You can pay through the following options available.

What Is The Cancellation Policy Of Evolution Travel?

It is possible to change or cancel a reservation by sending an email request. Your consultant will check the requirements and, if necessary, will inform you of any additional costs.

To cancel a reservation, you must send your cancellation request to your travel consultant before departure. You may also send them a fax stating the reasons for your cancellation.

A penalty fee might be charged according to the promoter’s general conditions of sale. If you need to change a reservation, contact the concerned consultant via email.

After sending a request for information, the consultant will contact you by email or telephone to customize your trip according to your specific needs and to complete your reservation again.

You will then receive your travel contract containing all your booking details and the general conditions of sale. Some additional charges may be applied in some cases, depending on your preference.

Is Evolution Travel a Scam?

Posted on Last updated: September 10, 2023

It’s an entrepreneur’s ultimate dream to make money while traveling. There’s one Las Vegas, Nevada-based biz op named Evolution Travel which says you can travel and make money at the same time.

Is it a scam or a legit program? We explore the business opportunity and reveal its features in this evolution travel review.

🌟 Top Picks for Online Earnings! 🌟

Dive into our handpicked selection of the best platforms to boost your online income. Trusted by thousands, these platforms are a must-try for anyone looking to make money online.

What is Evolution Travel

Evolution Travel Company Profile

Evolution Travel was founded in 2015 by David McCovy. It claims to be a home-based travel business, and you get access to required training, customer support, and additional help with closing sales. They say their training can help you make money online while you travel.

There’s a lot of hype surrounding the travel agency, but at the root level, it’s merely an  MLM compan y. The company doesn’t have products of its own either. They provide travel discounts, vouchers, and various packages on Hotels, Flights, Park Tickets, and Car Rentals. If you come across  PlanNet Marketing , you’ll know there’s a striking resemblance between the two.

Evolution Travel has joined hands with Archer Travel Group, and they provide specialized travel/tour packages together. The company does offer a membership through which you can opt to become an agent and promote the company as an independent distributor.

Can You Make Money When You Join Evolution Travel?

Yes, you can. There are a few ways:

  • Either sell the travel packages as a distributor.
  • Recruit people under you and get them to promote the program.

In either case, you will need to sign up as an agent, which will cost $30 one-time and $69.95 recurring monthly. This professional travel agent package is expensive if you think about it. Most legitimate programs don’t charge you a dime and are free to sign up as an affiliate.

As an independent distributor, you get 90% commissions from the travel package sales, including  WordPress  website, video training, and discount coupons, which you can use on your next travel.

However, recruiting isn’t something most people enjoy. No one likes to pitch people all the time and push them to join a program. The company even encourages you to list your family members and friends so they can be ‘pitched’ at one stage, which is a bad idea.

Most agents rely on deception to get sales and share false incentives. It is not true with everyone, though. The program relies on recruiting to generate revenue which is a red flag, and it’s just a matter of time before FTC  takes an action  against them.

Is Evolution Travel a company with its own products?

To begin with, Evolution Travel does not have its own products. This firm is affiliated with Archer Travel Service. The former offers Evolution Travel vacation packages, discounts, and coupons.

So Evolution Trip is recruiting new members and providing them with Archer Travel Service discounts, coupons, and travel packages.

The Archer Travel Service booking search engine appears to have been integrated into Evolution Travel’s platform. Evolution Travel agencies and clients may now use this booking search engine to find cheap flights.

Here are some of the benefits that Evolution Travel agents enjoy.

Evolution Travel Agent Perks

Who Are The Evolution Travel Partners?

Evolution Travel Sign Up

Evolution Travel and Archer Travel Service have collaborated with some of the travel industry’s biggest names to bring you even more savings, travel packages, and offers.

Here are a few of their current trip companions:

  • Southwest Vacations
  • Universal Studios Florida
  • Carnival Cruise Lines
  • Cruises by Royal Caribbean
  • United Vacations

What Roles Do Professional Travel Agents Have?

Travel Agent

When you start as a Travel Agent, the first lesson you will learn is how to compile a list of people you believe could be enthusiastic about the opportunity or about traveling in general. Then you’ll contact those people and tell them about Evolution Travel.

Most Evolution Travel agencies would attempt to recruit someone to work for them. But that’s not all; now comes the tough part.

Pyramid schemes are MLM companies that focus on recruiting rather than product promotion. You should be aware that those who join Evolution Travel may not make a significant profit.

However, if you are a regular traveler, some Evolution Travel reviews claim that the membership is worth the money. And it may be an excellent side income for individuals who enjoy traveling.

How does Evolution Travel Works?

Become A Travel Agent With Evolution Travel

Evolution Travel works by offering members a home-based travel company. They provide training and assistance to members so they may market their travel bargains and sell travel packages.

It allows people to operate from home and sell their discounts and trip packages in exchange for commissions. It appears like both parties are benefiting, but in reality, Evolution Travel is the winning end since they save millions of dollars by employing network marketing. It is because it is only their members who are doing the job.

Evolution Travel services

It is essential that you grasp the items that the firm you want to work for sells. This way, you’ll know what to expect if you’re successful in becoming a member.

Evolution Travel offers travel savings, hotel reservations, and multiple vacation packages. According to my findings, this is because it has a partnership with Archer Travel Group, which has its own booking engine.

The firm does not have any items. Instead, they sell coupons, travel discounts, and vacation packages.

These services are the following:

  • Hotel Reservations
  • Car Rental Tickets
  • Theme park, sporting events, and concert tickets

Aside from the advantages these provide buyers – brokers can also gain in the following ways:

  • Free Cruise
  • Travel destinations
  • Travel Agents Discounts
  • Cash and Merchandise Rewards
  • Trips for familiarization

Evolution Travel is not the only company that provides these services. In truth, a significant number of other MLM companies perform these activities.

Here are a few of the most well-known travel MLMs:

  • PlanNet Marketing
  • iBuumerang
  • Goodlife USA
  • Jifu Travel

They all declare and claim to be unique, exclusive, and exceptional.

When in reality, they are all doing the same thing, but with various marketing tricks and platforms to make it appear like they are unique.

How Can Evolution Travel Help You Make Money?

Evolution Travel Ad

If you enjoy traveling, you’ll appreciate the opportunity to earn a commission on your private bookings for your family, friends, and acquaintances. But remember that the commission is self-motivated. To make it, you must hack it.

By white labeling, its booking system, Evolution Travel collaborates with Archer Travel Group, a cloud-based travel agency. It enables them to provide their consumers with vacation packages and discounts.

You earn commissions as an Evolution Travel affiliate when your customers book via the Evolution travel website. You will make a lot of money when you recruit new Evolution Travel affiliates. So here is a list of prospective commissions:

  • Travel Commission –  90% of all bookings are handled by Evolution Travel, with the remaining 10% handled by the Archer Travel Group. You can earn up to 80% of this, while the affiliate who recruited you (your sponsor) receives the remaining 10%.
  • Residual Commission –  You must be seated at the big table to obtain this. The corporation contributes a portion of its monthly sales to a pool that is divided among top-level executives and high-ranking affiliates.
  • Leadership Bonus –  To be eligible for this monthly bonus, you must have a Gold or Platinum level. Even so, there is a statutory time limit within which you can qualify.
  • Company Shares –  Before getting 20,000 firm shares, you must also have a Gold or Platinum rank (for three straight months without failing or losing the rank’s status). Archer Travel Group gives Evolution Travel 80% of the chicken feed commission but not 80% of the booking fee.

What You Need To Know About The Evolution Travel Compensation Plan

Evolution Travel Compensation Plan Graph

Here’s a quick rundown of Evolution Travel’s compensation plan if you want to increase your earnings. To increase your income, you must move up in the MLM scheme’s rankings, just like in any other MLM company.

Allow me to clarify something. Within Evolution Travel, there are various levels. The higher you progress through the levels, the more money you will make.

Consultants are the title given to all new Evolution Travel professional travel agents. Executive Consultants are consultants who have sold three professional travel agent packages.

So here are the Evolution Travel levels and what you need to do to earn more:

Evolution Travel Compensation Plan

  • Consultant : When you buy your first Professional Travel Agent (PTA) package.
  • Executive Consultant : When you sell 3 PTA packages
  • Bronze Consultant : Sold 6 Packages
  • Silver Consultant : Sold 9 Packages
  • Gold Consultant : Sold 15 packages to silver consultants with 3 downlines.
  • Platinum Consultant : Have a downline of at least 300 sold packages.
  • Special Recognition and Incentives –  Reach 3 Star Platinum, and you’ll be eligible for a Breitling watch. Consultants can also get a ring based on their monthly residual income. Assume your monthly residual income is $8,333. It qualifies you for a $100,000 ring. You are eligible for a million-dollar ring if your monthly income exceeds $83,333.

As an Evolution Travel PTA, you can earn money in two ways. First is by marketing other companies products, as Evolution Travel does not have its own product line. Instead, it provides travel deals and tour packages from affiliated hospitality companies. These include hotel, cruise, car rental, and event discounts.

The second way to profit from Evolution Travel is to become a professional travel agent and recruit others to join your downline. Every successful sale made by your team members earns you a commission.

Things To Consider About Evolution Travel

Is evolution travel accredited by the bbb.

Evolution Travel Bbb Rating

If you are the type of person who only trusts businesses that are BBB accredited, you will be displeased to discover that Evolution Travel is not BBB accredited.

The screenshot below shows an A+ for Evolution Travel’s BBB Ratings. But despite having customer reviews, these are not used in the calculation of BBB Ratings.

Evolution Travel has yet to be accredited by the Better Business Bureau despite meeting the requirements.

Is Evolution Travel a Pyramid Scheme?

What Is A Pyramid Scheme

The most concerning issue about Evolution Travel is that it could be an illegal pyramid scheme. But no. The Evolution Travel program is not a pyramid scheme.

Members of the company make money by selling their travel tickets and bookings. And they don’t have to focus exclusively on recruitment to make money.

Even if this is the case, it is advisable to inquire whether Evolution Travel is a ploy for a pyramid scheme. Let’s find out what a pyramid scheme is compared to legitimate marketing.

Pyramid schemes, according to the FTC, are hard to recognize right away, but they all have one thing in common: they promise people a lot of money in exchange for recruiting people to join their program.

If you read the definition of a pyramid scheme and then look at Evolution Travel again, you will agree that it has a high probability of being a pyramid scheme.

Expensive Business Venture

Paying a $30 one-time fee is acceptable, but charging $70 per month is not (in my opinion).

For $70 per month, you’ll have access to your Evolution Travel back office, where you’ll receive some basic training, support, and updates. Evolution Travel does not provide anything worth paying $70 for and is overpriced.

Maybe it’s worth it at first because you’ll get some training and support, but why would you pay $70 a month for that? They have regular webinars and updates, but nothing worth $70 every month. Personally, I have no intention of paying $70 per month and losing all of my friends in the process.

Success is rare with Evolution Travel.

Yes, you read that correctly. Success is difficult to achieve if you are a member of Evolution Travel or any MLM company. It is worth noting that between 72.5% and 99.9% of MLM members lose money.

These companies have sales quotas that require members to sell a certain number of products to receive commissions. If they are unable to do so, they must purchase the products for their own consumption.

And it is why MLM members spend a lot of their own money before they can even recruit one person into the company.

This Kind of Business Scheme is Unsustainable in the Long Run

With the popularity of travel industry websites like Skyscanner , FareCompare, Booking.com , and  Agoda , among millennials and Gen Zs, the Evolution Travel business scheme will not be viable in the long run. Perhaps this type of business will appeal to more affluent boomers who still want lavish adventures and handy, albeit traditional, vacations.

This, however, does not appeal to the younger generation, who are frequently on a tight budget, prefer to backpack across Europe or Southeast Asia, and seek unique experiences.

Mixed Reviews About Evolution Travel

Evolution Travel Feedback

Evolution Travel is almost identical to Paycation, which went bankrupt in 2014, the year before Evolution Travel was founded. Many people lost money on Paycation because they paid their service charges without generating commissions or rewards. David McCovy’s involvement in both systems may not reflect well on Evolution Travel’s future.

Pros About Evolution Travel

  • The founder is a Business Expert –  David McCovy is the Evolution Travel founder and is a successful businessman and entrepreneur. David Mccovy is an expert in the Multi-Level Market domain; prior to establishing Evolution Travel, he was a top member of other multi-level market companies.
  • Perfect for regular travelers –  If you travel frequently, evolution travel is advantageous and very beneficial. It is ideal for businessmen who travel frequently or if you enjoy taking vacations every now and then.
  • Established reputation –  An MLM has a 5-year average lifespan. And Evolution Travel has been in business for five years. They also don’t appear to be slowing down. It means that there is a good chance that this company will continue to exist in the future.
  • Good Partnerships –  Although Evolution Travel was founded in 2015, they partnered with Archer Travel Group, a very experienced travel company that was founded in 1952. So it’s a good sign that they’ve partnered with one of the industry’s pioneers. Mr. McCovy, the founder of Evolution Travel, has also founded two other multi-level marketing companies, Paycation (now known as TraVerus Global) and 5LINX.

Cons About Evolution Travel

  • No income disclosure statement –  Evolution Travel does not disclose its earnings. An income disclosure is a document that shows members’ earnings. It is intended to demonstrate that the company and its members are profitable. There is none in the case of Evolution Travel.
  • Hidden monthly costs –  The fact that you must pay $70 per month for the subscription means that you have assured yourself that you will lose money even if you do not earn money. What MLM companies don’t want their members to know is that the members are their most important customers. It is because they continue to pay for the monthly subscriptions regardless of what happens.
  • Costly Investment –  If you’re a newcomer, I don’t recommend Multi-level marketing programs because they’re too expensive. And you might not get a return on investment if you don’t have any networking experience. The same thing could happen even if you have participated in similar programs. Nonetheless, it is an expensive opportunity because, in addition to the $30 PTA package, you will pay an additional $70 per month.
  • Evolution Travel MLM is Not BBB Accredited –  Despite its A+ Ratings, Evolution Travel is not accredited by Better Business Bureau.
  • Emphasis on recruiting people –  The company’s stance still appears to have a strong focus on recruitment, as evidenced by how they ask new recruits to approach family and friends who may be interested in the business opportunity. It is not a good strategy because a majority of the people you hire will fail. Unless you are surrounded by people already involved in the travel industry.
  • Pay-to-play system –  On the one hand, it is reasonable for the company to charge a fee for members who use their brand, resources, and tools to provide travel services and earn money, particularly since Evolution Travel keeps only 10% of the commission. However, for members who are unable to find customers, this $70 per month can be a significant financial burden.
  • You will not earn anything unless you have a customer base. –  If you do not have a significant number of clients who trust your competency in arranging their vacation plans and will look for you when they travel, the only way you can generate money is by recruiting people. It is a more difficult path, as you must first achieve Gold Consultant status before your efforts will bear fruit. If you hadn’t left the company by then, it could take months, if not years.

Evolution Scam is not a scam, but it does have a few signs of a pyramid scheme. Most of the money they make is through recruiting. You can definitely make money promoting the travel biz op, but the odds are stacked against you.

Then there are some who recommend you stay away from the Evolution Travel scam, but that’s because they’ve probably had a bad experience as a distributor (for insert reason here).

If FTC shuts them down, you will lose all your earnings in a jiffy, and it’s never a good idea to stick to programs that are all about recruiting.  MOBE  was one such program FTC took it down last year.

There, however, is a legitimate way to make money online . The training teaches how to start your own profitable online business, which is our top recommendation for working from home. It shouldn’t surprise you, but a real business will require some commitment from your end. Definitely check it out if you’re ready to put in some work!

What is Evolution Travel?

Evolution Travel is a Multi-Level-Marketing company that operates as a home-based travel business.

They offer training, support, and sales assistance to their members who are going to sell their travel tickets in exchange for commissions.

Is Evolution Travel a Scam: Intro

The company was founded by David McCovy in Las Vegas, Nevada, back in 2015.

Aside from that, not much is known about the company aside from the fact that it is currently recruiting members to expand their business reach.

Check out this 1-minute video that will walk you through the company...

Let us then learn...

Is Evolution Travel a pyramid scheme?

No. Evolution Travel is not a pyramid scheme.

The company has members who earn money by selling their travel tickets and bookings. And they don’t have to solely focus on recruitment just to earn money.

But even if this is the case, it is still smart to ask if…

Is Evolution Travel a pyramid scheme in disguise?

What is a pyramid scheme?

A company or organization that is paying members for recruiting people. They do this instead of selling real and legit products and services.

This is why countries and governments from across the globe have already banned them from operating because they’re only paying people to recruit and nothing more.

Here is a diagram I found on Wikipedia that shows why and how this happens...

evolution travel reddit

Members who are making the most money from a company such as this are those who recruit people and tell them about the cool business opportunity they can be a part of.

Even if there is really none… It’s just impossible to treat this as an income-generating business because you are just going to run out of people you can recruit later...

Feel free to watch this 5-minute video on how you can spot a pyramid scheme in disguise...

But why do a lot of people say...

Success is rare with Evolution Travel

Yes, you read that right. Success is hard to achieve if you are a member of Evolution Travel or any MLM in this case.

Note that between 72.5% and 99.9% of MLM members lose money.

92.3 Percent of Members Lose Money in MLMs

This is because of the sales quota these companies have where members can only receive commissions if they sell a certain number of products.

If they are unable to do this, then they have to buy the products for their own consumption.

This is why MLM members lose a lot of money from their own savings before they can recruit a single person into the company.

How does Evolution Travel Work?

Evolution Travel works by providing a home-based travel business to members.

They give training and support so that members can sell their travel discounts and packaging.

It’s an opportunity for them to work from home and sell their discounts and travel bundles in exchange for commissions.

It sounds like both sides are winning, but in reality, it’s just Evolution Travel, because they save millions of dollars in supposed marketing campaigns because they don’t need to do it.

Instead, it’s just their members doing it...

Evolution Travel services

It is important that you understand the products that the company you wish to join is selling. This way, you’ll know what you can expect if you manage to become a member.

Evolution Travel sells travel discounts, hotel booking, and various vacation packages. Based on my research, it does this because it is partnered with Archer Travel Group, which has its own booking engine.

The company doesn't really have products. Instead, what they sell are coupons, travel discounts, and vacation bundles, just like what I said earlier.

Specifically speaking, these are:

  • Hotel reservations
  • Car rentals
  • Tickets to theme parks, sporting events, and concerts

Is Evolution Travel a Scam: Services

And aside from the convenience these give buyers, agents can also benefit in the form of:

  • Free cruise
  • Travel points
  • Travel agent discounts
  • Cash and merchandise rewards
  • Familiarization trips

Note, though, that it isn’t just Evolution Travel that sells these kinds of services. In fact, there are a host of other MLM companies that do.

Here are some of the most famous travel MLMs:

  • PlanNet Marketing
  • iBuumerang
  • Goodlife USA
  • Jifu Travel
  • WorldVentures
  • Your Travel Biz
  • And many more!

All of them say and claim they are special, exclusive, and very rare.

When the reality is they are just doing the same stuff, but just have different marketing gimmicks and platform to make it seem like they are special.

Here is a 4-minute video on what you can expect if you become a member:

It is then vital to know...

Can you make money with Evolution Travel?

Yes. But it’s hard to make money from Evolution Travel.

There are a few people that do, but they spend more than 8 hours a day just trying to persuade and entice people to join the company.

What’s more, is that Evolution Travel does not have any income disclosure...

How to make money with Evolution Travel

Do these 2 things to make money from this company:

  • Sell products

Recruit members

Note, though, that you only earn from the sales and commissions of your downlines and not from recruiting them.

That’s how MLMs such as Evolution Travel avoid being called a pyramid scheme.

How much does it cost to join Evolution Travel?

Before, you have to spend $300 just to subscribe to Evolution Travel.

But this has already been discounted to $30.

So, far, that’s all you need to pay… initially.

Evolution Travel monthly cost

There is no quota.

But then, there’s this $70 monthly payment you need to think about. This allows you to receive commissions.

So, here’s the costs you are going to take into your first year...

Minimum costs for year 1 = $870

But also note that that isn’t the full expenses yet, because you still have to include the marketing, training, and other miscellaneous costs...

Evolution Travel compensation plan

MLM companies always have complicated compensation plans. And that includes Evolution Travel. But don’t worry because I am going to do my best to simplify things up...

Evolution Travel offers you 3 main ways to earn money as a member:

  • Travel Commissions - Earn 80% to 90% commission once you’ve successfully sold a ticket or booking reservation.
  • Residual Pool Commission - Earn 13% to 20% commission from the sales that your downline members make.
  • Leadership Bonus - Earn $750 to $100,000 bonus once you qualify for the Leadership rank. This goes from Gold level to 8-star Platinum level.

Is Evolution Travel a Scam: Compensation

Still confused?

Well, that’s how things go when you’re with an MLM such as Evolution Travel.

These companies use fancy names and complex acronyms to make it sound like there are a lot of ways and methods members can make money even if there’s just 2 things to do:

  • Recruit people

Here is a 20-minute compensation plan video...

Or you can find the full compensation plan here.

Is Evolution Travel a scam?

Evolution Travel is not a scam.

The company is legit and legal. They also sell legal travel tickets and vacation bundles, among others.

And most of all, they pay members exactly as they say.

But the thing is… members soon realize and become disappointed once they learn that they lose more money than make money because of the monthly fees.

The next part and section of this review is going to help you decide with the pros, cons, and more surprising details of this company.

This way, you’ll learn if this is right for you or not...

Just to be fully transparent with you, I am not a distributor myself and I do not endorse it in any way.

I have researched the website, testimonials and information on the Internet to get to the bottom of what this program genuinely does. This is because I have been burnt from programs just like this in the past and I want to prevent others from making the same mistakes. Common positive reviews

Here are some of the common positive reviews we have seen in Indeed about their job opportunity...

  • "I have been with Evolution travel for 2 years. They are NOT an MLM as you don’t have to do any recruiting to make money."
  • "Simply book travel and make commissions. Tons of training and support."

Common negative reviews

And here are the negative things people are saying about their job opportunity...

  • "Working for this company requires passion, communication and motivation to assist customers in their travel destination."
  • "Also, a customer satisfaction need met depend on the travel agent effort."

What I like about Evolution Travel

  • Pyramid Scheme – recruits members via a promise for payment from recruiting others into the company rather than providing a product
  • Affiliate Marketing- Connecting a customer to a product they are looking for and receiving a commission for doing so
  • Red Flag - A warning sign

#1 Good for frequent travelers

Evolution Travel is good and actually very beneficial if you travel regularly.

Is Evolution Travel a Scam: Pros

This is best for businessmen who are always going to different places, or if you are always on a vacation every now and then.

If you are, then there’s no doubt that you’ll save a lot of money...

#2 Established reputation

An MLM has an average lifespan of 5 years.

And Evolution Travel already has been operating for 5 years already.

They also don’t show any signs of slowing down. This means that there’s a good chance that this company will still be up and running in the years to come.

#3 Affordable subscription

Evolution Travel has a very affordable subscription of $30.

This was $300 before, but now it’s just $30. This is very cheap compared to the regular $100 to even $1,000 subscription fees of other MLMs.

What I don't like about Evolution Travel

#1 no income disclosure.

Evolution Travel does not have any income disclosure.

An income disclosure is a document which shows the earnings of members.

It is also meant to show that the company and its members are earning. In Evolution Travel’s case, there is none.

So, I’ll leave that up to you...

#2 Hidden monthly expenses

The fact that you have to spend $70 for the monthly subscription means that you have assured yourself that you are going to lose money even if you don’t earn money.

What MLM companies don’t want their members to know is that their biggest customer base are the members itself.

This is because they just keep on paying for the monthly subscriptions whatever happens...

#3 Is Evolution Travel a pyramid scheme in disguise?

There is no doubt that Evolution Travel is a pyramid scheme in disguise.

You are going to pay $70 monthly, right? Well, you can avoid that by recruiting people. Why? It’s because you get commissions from your recruited members.

So, the more recruits you have, the more money you make.

See how this works from this diagram…

MLM pyramid scheme

As you can see, all you really need to do is to just recruit as many people as you can for you to make good money.

#4 Downward trend

Google Trends shows me this…

Is Evolution Travel a Scam: Cons 2

As you can see, the diagram from my ole trusted friend, Google Trends, shows that the popularity of Evolution Travel decreases because there are less people searching for it.

This means that you are going to find it difficult to sell Evolution Travel’s ticket discounts because not many people like it or are interested in it...

I've created a growing passive income online with no previous marketing skills or online experience...

I've made a special video for you to explain exactly how I did this.

MTO Income

My opinion - Evolution Travel

Evolution Travel is a legal company that sells legitimate travel tickets and vacation bundles. But they have an expensive monthly subscription cost.

And here is what I think about their business opportunity...

You can clearly see that the only real way for you to make money is by recruiting as many people as you can. And then leaving it up to them to discover the reality that they are just losing money.

This does not and in no way sound ethical to me. You sell the dream and hope of financial prosperity even if you know there’s no financial prosperity going to happen.

There are a lot of other better legit business opportunities out there you can find...

How I make passive income online

MLMs are not scams or illegal. However, I'm not a fan of them because of the restrictions to the expensive products you have to promote.

Once I learnt about affiliate marketing, I realised it's a far superior business model because:

  • You can promote anything you want and truly own the business
  • You never need to sell to friends and family
  • It's completely free to start

In 2018 I had no idea what affiliate marketing was.

But I went from a full time PE teacher to making a passive income online within one year...

I signed up with Evolution Travel (myevolutiontravel.com) on December 21st and decided to cancel my account. They charge $69 for monthly fees.... let me say that again $69 monthly while you send them business, they charge you a monthly fee. That's the reason I canceled my account. I requested a refund on January 1st, and they refused to grant the refund. I would not recommend anyone to do business with them!

Is Evolution Travel A Scam? A Publicly Traded MLM Company

How would you like to earn 20,000 shares in a publically traded MLM travel company? How is this even possible? What do you think? Is Evolution Travel for real or just another scam?

I know you’re here to see if you can really make money with Evolution Travel and go on lots of vacations. I want that for you too. However, during my research, I discovered important information I want to share with you.

First I just want to commend you for doing your research here. It’s the only way to keep yourself from being scammed and to find legitimate ways to make money online.

Just so you know, I am not associated with Evolution Travel.

I do researches, write reviews, and provide recommendations.

Let’s begin…

Evolution Travel Short Review Summary

The World of Evolution Travel

Founder: (2015) David McCovy

Product Type: MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) company promoting discounted travel packages.

Price:  $49 (One-Time Fee) and $69.95 monthly administration fee.

Best For:  Experienced Travel Agents and people who enjoy doing networking.

Summary:  Evolution Travel is a typical MLM company. When you join as their “travel agent”, they really focus on you to bring in referrals for your downline. You can also promote their discounted travel packages. The first thing you’ll want to do is make up a list with names of people you associate with, you know, your friends and family members.

My Rating:  20 out of 100

What Is Evolution Travel?

First, here is a video by one of their members with a bit of information about Evolution Travel.

Evolution Travel will say they are a home-based travel business that offers consumers like you and me an opportunity to become entrepreneurs and be their travel agents.

They are also the first and only travel marketing company to be a publically traded company and so they give you an opportunity to have ownership with Evolution Travel. Sound good so far?

Joining Evolution Travel is supposed to be affordable and they include training and sales support. They also say you can make full-time or part-time income from your own personal travel and on other people’s travel.

However, the truth is Evolution Travel is just another MLM (Multi-Level Marketing) travel company that sells 3rd party travel services and their own Referral Program (i.e. recruiting people into a downline).

Now, let’s take a look at who’s behind the scene of Evolution Travel.

Who’s Running The Show? Interesting Information

Evolution Travel was founded in Las Vegas, by David McCovy in 2015 and partnered with Archer Travel Service, Inc., an established leader in the travel industry (founded in 1952 by Ron Archer).

Ron has lots of networking experience.  He sat on the Board of Director for The Signature Travel Network that made over $7 billion in travel sales annually. Ron has also been an advisor for major cruise lines and tour operators.

David also has lots of MLM experience in building MLM companies like 5Linx.

Inside Evolution Travel

Evolution Travel doesn’t have a real product line of their own. Instead, they offer discounted travel packages, coupons, and tickets.

The discounts offered are on:

  • Vacation Packages
  • Tickets (i.e. movies, concerts, sports, amusement parks, Disney
  • Concessions
  • Automotive Care and Maintenance

Together with Archer Travel Services, they partner with vendors like:

  • Princess Cruises
  • Southwest Vacations
  • Funjet Vacations
  • Thrifty Car Rental
  • United Vacations

By doing this, you have the ability to create custom travel packages for yourself as well as for groups.

Oh, by the way, Evolution Travel has some perks and rewards to entice you into joining their membership. For example, once you become a travel agent, you can get the following:

  • Discounts on hotels, vehicle rentals and more.
  • Familiarization trips to gain knowledge and experience of what you’re selling.
  • Earn cash and get merchandise on Carnival Cruises, Apple Vacations and more.
  • Earn points and get rewarded for your own vacation travels.
  • Get a free cruise when you take an online training course thru cruises like the Norweigan, Princess and Carnival.

These incentives are great because you can become an authority with the travel industry (if you’re not already an experienced agent) and it gets you energized and focused.

Keep in mind, this is one of the ways you bring referrals into Evolution Travel’s MLM system.

By now, you’re probably thinking this all sounds really exciting, but let’s get into what you really need to know… how are you going to be making money with Evolution Travel?

How to Make Money With Evolution Travel (ET)

When you join ET, you become one of their PTA (Professional Travel Agent) Consultant at the lowest level.

Making money with ET is very similar to InteleTravel , another Multi-Level Marketing travel company. As with all MLMs, there are 2 money-making concepts:

  • Recruit, recruit, and keep recruiting people to get them to buy into your ET downline.
  • Keep selling your discounted travel products. This is your second source of income.

Maybe you’re seeing $$$$ here, but don’t get too excited yet because we’re only beginning. There are some things you need to do.

First, you have a couple of payments to meet:

  • PTA (Professional Travel Agent) Membership Fee –  $49 (one-time fee) and you get full access to their Team Building program which you will see coming up next.
  • Administrative Fee – $69.95 a month.

CLICK HERE - Find Out How People Are Making REAL Money

The PTA fee gives you the following:

  • Ability to earn 90% on your travel sales (you get 80% and 10% goes to the person who sponsored you).
  • Your own personalized and customizable travel website.
  • Direct access to vendors all over the world.
  • The opportunity to get 60 years of proven travel training and support from Archer Travel Services.
  • 20 to 60% discount on movie tickets, dry cleaning, dining and more.
  • Residual income.
  • Tax benefits.

The next part will probably “knock your socks” off…

How Evolution Travel’s Compensation Plan Works

Your recruiting of people begins now.

Evolution Travel’s Compensation Plan consists of a surprisingly 6 levels of positions:

#1. Consultant – When you first join, you are a Consultant. You earn 80% commission when you book travel packages and your sponsor earns 10% of your travel commission. Your goal is to sell 3 PTA (Professional Travel Agent) membership fees to become an Executive Consultant.

#2. Executive Consultant –  To be here, you now have 3 PTA members in your downline. Your next goal is to sell 3 more PTA memberships to become a Bronze Consultant.

#3. Bronze Consultant – Nice, now you have 6 PTAs in your downline. Your goal is to sell 3 more PTA memberships if you want to be a Silver Consultant.

#4. Silver Consultant – Right now, you have a total of 9 PTA members in your downline. Work harder, because this time you need to recruit 6 more people and get them to purchase the PTA membership.

Yes, that’s right, Evolution Travel just doubled the number of people you need to recruit. Instead of adding 3, it’s 6 people. You need to have recruited a total of 15 people into your downline to become a Gold Consultant.

#5. Gold Consultant – Congratulations, you made it this far! Now there’s a catch here … You need to help 3 of any of your consultants below you to become Silver Consultants. Once you do this, Evolution Travel will gladly reward you with $750 every month for your hard work.

If you can manage to remain a Gold for 3 consecutive months, you’re rewarded with 20,000 Evolution Travel shares. This is exciting because now you have ownership in the company.

Wait, you’re not done yet…

#6. Platinum Consultant – If you recruited a total of 300 PTAs into your downline, you become a Platinum Consultant. Here, you have the potential to earn $1,750 to $100k as a Team monthly bonus.

If you remain aa a Platinum for 3 consecutive months, Evolution Travel will reward you with another 20,000 Evolution Travel shares.

What do you think so far? The plan doesn’t end here.

There is a lot more to Evolution Travel’s Compensation Plan so here’s a video for you to watch… it will also explain the commissions on travel bookings.

Your Travel Commissions

  • 90% commission on all commissionable travel bookings
  • 80% commission on your sales on hotels, cruises, car rentals, and packaged tours.
  • 10% Sponsor of the Booking Consultant

Ladies and Gentlemen, I need your input, can you really do this? I mean once you run out of family and friends, and their friends, how would you get strangers to trust you?

When I was doing Multi-Level Marketing, I did very well because my friends and family wanted to “help” me. BUT they eventually got tired and stressed because even my friends’ friends wanted nothing more to do with what I was doing.

What I Like About Evolution Travel

1. Solid Support From Archer Travel Services

Archer Travel Services has been in the travel business since 1952 and that says a lot about their credibility.

On the other hand, Evolution Travel has only been in the travel industry since 2015 and so it’s still a relatively new company.

However, David McCovy, the founder of Evolution Travel, was successfully involved in another MLM company called 5Linx and played the role of Senior Vice President in 2014.

When he left 5Linx, he joined Paycation (a pyramid scheme) which has since collapsed.  He didn’t stay there long and in 2015, he began the launch of his Evolution Travel.

As you can see David has some knowledge in the MLM industry and quite cleverly formed a partnership with Archer Travel Services.

#2. Real People Testimonials

Although Evolution Travel is BBB accredited, they still received a ranking of A+ with 4 stars out of 5. Here are some great testimonials from real people.

BBB Report on Evolution Travel From REAL People

It’s hard to please everyone and even though there were good positive testimonials here, there are a couple of “not so good reviews”. I want to emphasize there are more positive comments than negatives.

What I Dislike About Evolution Travel

#1. Expensive To Have Your Own Home-Based Business

That $49 one-time PTA (Professional Travel Agent) membership fee is reasonable.

The part I don’t like is where you pay $69.95 a month for their administrative fee ($69.95 x 12 months = $839.40 a year).

In my opinion, this is expensive for anyone just starting out, especially if they don’t have a lot of money to spend. Trust me! I have done multi-level marketing before, in fact, a few times, and it’s not easy finding people to recruit.

It’s not that easy to make money fast and so you need to make sure you can afford to pay monthly.

The question is, are you going to get your value out of that $839.40 yearly.

To be honest, you’re getting more value out of your $49 PTA one-time membership fee. Take a look at the screenshot below and you’ll see what I mean.

PTA Rewards and Benefits

That $839.40 is just pocket money for Evolution Travel.  Remember, you’re the one who’s doing all the grunt work. You’re the one who’s going to be chasing after people to join into your downline.

#2. Chasing After People

I mentioned earlier I had to come up with a list of family members and friends.

Apparently, they were going be my hot list, the ones who trusted me and I had to literally “chase” them.

I even had REAL PRODUCTS… skin care product to physically show and demonstrate.

The end result in my relationships with them turned rather sour and they would avoid me as if I had fallen to some kind of plague.

Multi-level marketing is “chasing after people all the time”.  Once you go outside of your “comfort zone” with your family and friends, you have to approach people who don’t know you.

Why should strangers trust you or Evolution Travel? Sure, lots of people join MLM companies because they think they can make fast money, BUT how many members actually stay?

#3. A Hidden Pyramid Scheme

Here is what the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) says about Pyramid Schemes …

FTC Definition of Pyramid Scheme

The fact that Evolution Travel focuses feverishly on recruiting people, their system appears to be a pyramid scheme.

I’m not saying they are, just be aware!

#4. No Income Disclosure Statement on Archer Travel Service & Evolution Travel

I was not able to find an Income Disclosure Statement on either site and they should have one.

For this reason, I cannot give you information on the average income members are making.

#5. You Have to Deal With Customer Complaints

There is no doubt in my mind, you will have customer complaints. Not all customers are going to be happy.

If you stress easily, Evolution Travel’s MLM system may not suitable for you. When people go on vacations, they want a good user experience. If they don’t, some of them can be downright nasty and it may not even be your fault.

Evolution Travel, in my opinion, is good for people who already have travel agent experience and networking experience.  You need to know how to deal with people and “convince” people to take your travel package.

#6. Hard to Make Money. Lots of Competition

It’s hard enough chasing after people, and not only that, you’re faced with “LOTS” of Multi-Level Marketing travel companies. If you don’t believe me, just Google and do some research.

To name a few, here are some travel MLM companies:

  • InteleTravel
  • Global Travel International
  • World Ventures
  • Pro Travel Plus
  • Coastal Travel Package

Is Evolution Travel A Scam Or Is It Legit?

Honestly, the fact that Archer Travel Service partnered with Evolution Travel is really important. Archer Travel Service has been in business for over 60 years and they bring with them a ton of travel experiences.

On the other hand, Evolution Travel has only been around since 2015. Big difference right?

However, David McCovy, the founder of Evolution Travel has experience in building MLM businesses so that itself is a plus.

The other consideration is that Evolution Travel hasn’t been declared a pyramid scheme by the FTC, so I will say they are NOT A SCAM.

Just use your own due diligence. Do you want to be “chasing after people” to recruit them into your downline?  Can you handle customer complaints… customers who didn’t have a good holiday experience for whatever reason?

MLM business has always interested me but I have never really understood it to be honest. I understand that you need referrals but that is pretty much all I know about it.

I have seen many platforms promoting this type of work but I haven’t seen any to do with travel before and I think I might enjoy getting into this Evolution Travel but the price does sound a bit too much for me to start off with.

I know you say that you will have to chase people to get them to join and have to put up with all the complaints but I think I could manage that, I’m not sure I could manage the monthly payments to start off with.

Evolution Travel sounds like it could be very profitable but maybe I should start somewhere a bit less costly until I start to earn some decent money.

Do you know of any multi-level marketing companies for newbies that do not cost an arm and a leg to join?

Thanks if you can help 🙂

Hi Matthew,

Thank you for your comment!

Ummm, quite honestly, there really isn’t an MLM company I can really think of that is low cost but you can check this site…

https://infinitemlmsoftware.com/blog/top-100-mlm-companies-2019

I find there are a lot of MLM companies these days that are way too expensive and some of them have very complex compensation plans. The problem too is a lot of independent representatives are making very little for their hard work efforts. The owners are the ones who win.

I’m just writing a review of Travel Ventures and that’s really expensive again and a wicked compensation plan that makes my head spin. I should have it posted tomorrow night so stay tuned.

This is what I’m saying in my blog posts that people are enticed to make money but with a subscription fee of $69. Unless you are super good at promoting the business (Evolution Travel and the associated travel packages), you will find yourself obligated to pay monthly administration fees even if you’re not making money.

It’s like you have signed up a contract and agreed to pay money on a monthly basis regardless if you’re making income or not. And I’ve seen a lot of people get frustrated with having to pay monthly without seeing any result. It’s like pouring water in a bucket with a hole, and that’s frightening. That can pull you down to bankruptcy!

Thank you for your comment.

I agree! It doesn’t make sense but I guess it’s the shiny button thing.

There are very skilled MLM entrepreneurs who do very well. BUT they’re very good at selling to people face to face.

A person has to know when to quit.

Thank you for a very comprehensive review of this MLM opportunity.

Their Company’s video presentation is very professional and engaging. I found myself positively impressed especially with the opportunity to get Familiarization Trips. I did find it was not made clear if these trips are free and to which destinations.

Thankfully, your detailed review brought me back to reality. Wow, the administration fee is very high.

I do think MLM opportunities are viable if the Company sells a real product that is bought repeatedly by the customer, such as health supplements or green cleaning products. However, in this case, there is no specific product to sell.

I doubt I can do well with Evolution Travel.  In my opinion, a business opportunity that rewards the members mainly for recruiting new members is as you note a Pyramid Scheme.

Thanks for the warning.

You’re welcome and thanks for your comment.

There are a lot of travel companies in the MLM business that do not have real products to sell. Sadly they only sell memberships.

I know of a company called Rodan and Fields and they have excellent skin care products but the products are expensive.

Wow, it would be exciting to be a travel agent and get free trips.  Getting shares in the company would be pretty cool too. It looks pretty cheap to start at $49 but that $69 per month adds up fast.  In my opinion, it seems like a lot of money for a startup for a home business.

The tiered commission structure sounds good and increasing your team will make you a lot of money.  But what happens if none of your contacts want to become down line salespeople? Are you supposed to recruit travel clients to be salesmen?

I already know I would not even want to deal with customer complaints.  I’m not in charge and I can work in retail if I want to handle complaints.

This bit about Wealthy Affiliate sounds a lot better to me.  Especially the make money 24 hours a day.  Being able to work anywhere in the world sounds good too. No customer complaints speak for itself.

How do you get training from the free start up one, Wealthy Affiliate?

Hi rlippse,

It means more chasing after people if your contacts are not interested in your MLM business offer. No, it’s better to keep travel clients as clients and not as prospects to recruit as your downline, unless they ask.

Evolution Travel Review (2024 Update): Everything You Wanted To Know!

  • August 18, 2023

evolution travel reddit

One of the things that make traveling wonderful is the essence or the feeling of being free .

Whenever the wind blows your hair or that heartbeat that comes as you see the beautiful view.

It makes you forget about your problems and appreciate life more.

So, wouldn’t it be a dream if you will can make money while traveling or being in comforts of your home?

Well don’t worry this Evolution Travel Review might bring you to places!

But before that…

Why Listen To Us?

My name is Josiah, and this is my Dad, Joel.

evolution travel reddit

Together, we make up the team here at Scamrisk.

If you’ll let me bother you for two minutes, I’d like to quickly explain why I’m even here writing this review.

In early 2020, I had just graduated from college & had no real career prospects.

I knew I was destined for something more, but I had no clue how I was going to make it happen.

I had this sinking feeling in my gut all the time… like the “big man upstairs” had accidentally given me the version of life where I’d be mediocre forever, instead of the one where I was, ya know – happy & fulfilled.

I had fiddled around with some different online businesses in college:

Some random MLMs, a bit of affiliate marketing, a (failed) dropshipping store or two, all the usual suspects.

Even my dad had been involved in MLMs back in the day… selling knives & other random nonsense people (probably) didn’t need.

All I really wanted was to find something that was going to  actually  work for me.

Maybe those things had worked for others, but for me it all turned up a fat “0” in the bank account department.

So I searched! And searched… and searched… and searched…

And eventually, I somehow stumbled upon a program that promised to help me build an income online ( read about it here if you’re curious ).

I didn’t really want to be “rich”.

The thought of making a reliable $5K per month & not having to worry about clocking in to a 9-to-5 ever again was all I needed.

Sure, there were people in the program doing high-6 and low-7 figures per year… but that wasn’t what I was out for.

I just wanted to provide freedom for myself, and if I was lucky, take my family along for the ride.

Fast forward a few days and a few phone calls & I was enrolled!

Here’s the first “money making website” I put up:

I built that site in 2020, and it still makes me $1,500 per month. It’s a basic 5 page website I built based on a template the program provides.

The best part to me? My dad and I get to do it all together!

So between the:

  • Ease of reaching $5-$10K per month in income online
  • Straightforward-ness of the system to do it
  • Fact that I get to do it w/ my family

Is why I recommend local lead generation as my #1 business model for making money online.

Sure, it takes some work and dedication – but anyone that tells you that there’s a business out there that requires no work is selling you a lemon.

I’m not saying you need to sign up for the same program I did, but I would definitely recommend giving the business model a peek!

Chances are you heard about Evolution Travel because someone – a friend or family member – introduced you to the company. Maybe you attended an online workshop or webinar, or maybe an in-person information session.

Your head’s probably spinning. This might be the first time you’ve heard about a real way to make money outside of a typical job.

So first off, congratulations!

You’ve just entered a whole new world…the world of making money on your own terms.

However, you came in through the wrong door.

Because Evolution Travel is – plain and simple – an MLM . Throw whatever fancy name you want on it…multi-level marketing (MLM), network marketing (NWM), direct sales, or anything else, it’s the same concept:

You pay some money upfront for the “opportunity” to sell products.

The products are typically low-quality but with high price tags (because fancy labels and stuff).

You’re told that the key to building your own successful business is selling these products to friends and family, and getting them on a subscription (so you get “monthly recurring revenue”).

Unfortunately, like most people who get taken in by these types of schemes, you’ll quickly discover that the well runs dry faster than you imagined.

After all, they make it sound really simple. “Just get 5 people you know onto this magic widget, and things will just grow from there.”

And in your head, you think “ How hard can it be? I know plenty of people, 5 will be easy.”

But then you do it, and you realize people look at you like you’ve joined a cult. You’ve become “that person”, who joined an MLM, and is now trying to sell questionable products or services to everyone they meet.

It puts a strain on your relationships, and you end up stuck between two worlds.

But it’s not your fault. These companies spend millions of dollars each year figuring out exactly how to brainwash and recruit people. And that’s why we’re here.

To help you find a better way before it’s too late.

So, what if there was a way you could build a passive income stream that’s actually passive?

An income stream that doesn’t require:

  • Selling to friends and family
  • Selling to strangers
  • Recruiting people
  • Dealing with questionable products that weigh on your conscience

An income stream that brings in consistent revenues every single month (from a couple thousand dollars to well over $10,000)?

An income stream you could actually build in your spare time, and grow as large or as small as you want to, without having to spend hours a day chasing, selling, or managing anything?

If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, check out Digital Leasing.

TESTIMONIAL - STILL GETTING PAID

This is nothing like MLM , and that’s probably a good thing.

However, if you’d still like to know more about Evolution Travel , keep reading.

What Is Evolution Travel?

Evolution And Archer Travel

Evolution Travel is an MLM company specializing in training, sales assistance, and other ways to support you in making a living in the comforts of your home or while you enjoy your travel goals.

It claims to be an affordable home-based business opportunity and is one of the leading companies in the travel industry.

They also call themselves as a “cloud-based travel agency” based in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Evolution Travel offers travel discounts, hotel booking, and other vacation packages and holds a partnership with a well-known travel company called Archer Travel Service, Inc .

Even if it is a new company, Evolution Travel was already boomeranged with numerous positive and negative feedback in the traveling industry.

Who Founded Evolution Travel?

David McCovy

David McCovy founded Evolution Travel in 2015. He is a lifetime entrepreneur that builds businesses from the ground and has invested in several Hollywood films.

McCovey is also known to be the founder of two other MLM companies, namely Paycation and Epic Trading .

He has owned numerous businesses in the clothing industry, restaurant, and entertainment including one of the largest independent concert company in Las Vegas.

What Does Evolution Travel Offers?

You won’t encounter a specific Evolution Travel Product Line, but the company do sell various travel discounts, coupons, and packages when you subscribe to them.

But aside from this they also include other things in their program.

Travel

Some of these things include:

  • Tickets to sporting events, concerts, theme parks, etc.

Evolution Travel & Archer Travel Service has also partnered with various vendors around the world to provide you with high-class and enjoyable travel packages you can choose from.

These are travel packages include:

  • Carnival Cruises
  • Royal Caribbean Cruises
  • Southwest Vacations
  • Universal Orlando
  • United Vacations
  • And several others

Evaluation Travel Agents

Evolution Travel

The main product for Evolution Travel is their membership.

The upfront cost of being an Evolution Travel Agent is $30, and the retail price is $299.

Cruise Line

But you have to note that to stay as an active agent with Evolution Travel, you must pay a monthly recurring administrative fee of $69.95.

How To Make Money With Evolution Travel?

Travel and Make Money

Evolution Travel is a new company supported by Archer Travel Group, making the company stable. It is also led by someone who already has experience in the MLM industry

The company is also currently making a huge name in the traveling industry by giving their subscribers way to earn money.

Let me share the two ways for you to make money with Evolution Travel! Starting with:

  • Sell travel packages Whenever you sell travel packages from Evolution Travel, they will give income.
  • Recruit more members to become your downline! You will earn money whenever you recruit new members who subscribe to Evolution Travel.

Evolution Travel Compensation Plan

THE EVOLUTION TRAVEL

MLM Compensation systems are often complicate. This covers Evolution Travel as well. But do not worry, I will try my best to make things as simple as possible.

As a member of Evolution Travel, you may make money in three ways:

  • Travel Commissions Earn up to 90% commission after successfully selling a ticket or making a reservation.
  • Residual Pool Commission Earn a 13 percent to a 20% commission on sales made by your downline members.
  • Leadership Bonus Earn a bonus ranging from $750 to $100,000 if you qualify for the Leadership level. This progresses from Gold to 8-star Platinum.

Though according to a Evolution Travel MLM Review, MLM programs aren’t really suggested for beginners since they’re too pricey and unsafe.

What Are The Jobs Of Professional Travel Agents?

Travel Agent

When you become a Travel Agent, the first thing you will teach to do is how to write down the list of people whom you think may be interested in this opportunity or in traveling specifically.

Then, you will start contacting those people and talk to them about Evolution Travel.

Most Evolution Travel agents would try to recruit a person to become an Evolution Travel agent.

But that doesn’t end there, here’s the complicated part

MLM companies that focus on recruitment rather than promoting their products can be considered a pyramid scheme.

You must know that there is a possibility that people who will join Evolution Travel won’t have that big of a profit.

Though if you are a frequent traveler, according to some Evolution Traveler reviews that the subscription is worth the price and is a good side income for those who love traveling.

Is Evolution Travel A Scam?

Is Clever Container A Scam

So, is Evolution Travel a scam?

Not technically. You can make money with this program, but it’s definitely not as easy as the company makes it sound.

There’s a ton of work to be done upfront, no real guarantee of success, and – most importantly – the actual commissions are pretty small.

Now, there’s nothing wrong with front-loading the work and making the money later.

But if you’re grinding it out for 3 months and then your reward is a $50 commission , it’s not really worth it.

What if, instead, you could do that same 3 months of work (in your spare time), and your reward was a $500 to $2,000 payment that came in every single month ?

And what if you actually didn’t need to wait 3 months? What if you could get started today and have your first payment in a week?

And what if you could double it next week?

Well, that’s the power of Digital Leasing .

And, unlike an MLM, you can legitimately do this from anywhere. It’s a true lifestyle business.

Your laptop and an internet connection is all you need.

Some of the most successful students in this program run their entire 6-figure businesses from:

  • A camper in the middle of the woods
  • A beach chair on the water in Mexico
  • A small villa in Greece

TESTIMONIAL - SAYING GOODBYE TO OUR JOBS

Because even if they stop working for an extended period of time, the money keeps coming in.

So adventure, memories, and experience are the top priority.

And they never have to worry about how to pay for the next trip, or consider asking for time off.

Are There Alternatives to Evolution Travel?

alternative path financial independence

Yes, there are plenty of MLM companies to choose from if you want to pursue this business model. Here are just a few:

My Number One Commendation For Making Money Online In 2024

Our review team has spent months researching, reviewing, and vetting dozens of business models and thousands of programs.

While there may be no “perfect business”, the research IS conclusive:

Digital Leasing is the #1 online business model for those just starting out.

Whether you’ve never made a dollar online, or you’ve been in this space for a while but never really “made it,” Digital Leasing is for you.

1) It’s Flexible: got an hour a day? You can do this. Ready to drop everything else and dive in full time? You can do this. Yes, the more time you put in, the faster you see results. But even with a little time each day, you can move the needle in a Digital Leasing business.

And because this system is so flexible, you don’t have to constantly be working to make more money. It’s called PASSIVE INCOME because if you stop working, the money doesn’t.

Imagine taking 3 months off to just tour around Europe, rent a cabin in the woods to write a book, hike the Appalachian Trail, or live on the beach and surf all day.

This is only possible if you have an income stream that’s not tied to your time.

TESTIMONIAL - JUMP ALL IN

2) You Own & Control EVERYTHING: With MLMs and Network Marketing, you don’t really own anything. You have no control over the quality of products. You don’t even own your “team”.

Look at the fine print for most of the agreements folks sign when they join one of these companies. At any point, the company can change your commission structure, reduce your profit margins, or kick you out entirely.

With Digital Leasing, you own the assets, which means you have all the power and all the control.

TESTIMONIAL - FEELING BLESSED

3) Little To No Startup Costs: It’s possible to get into Digital Leasing with zero dollars upfront. Because, using the strategies outlined in this program , you can get a client to pay you BEFORE spending a penny out of your own pocket…even before you do any work.

Even without getting paid in advance, you can have your first Digital Rental Property up, running, and generating profits for less than $100.

TESTIMONIAL - SCOTT LEAD GEN

4) No Inventory: Alright, so most MLMs don’t make you buy the products and fill your garage with them anymore (unlike the good ol’ days), but you’re still in a physical products business.

And physical products always have physical limitations. Even if you don’t have to manage the inventory, you still have to deal with supply chain shortages that cause major delays.

Imagine finally landing your first customer, and then losing them after one sale because they had to wait 6 weeks to get their order.

With Digital Leasing, a 100% online business, you never even have to think about that risk.

TESTIMONIAL - ANNA DONE DEAL

5) Easy To Duplicate: Ok, here’s the best part: once you have your first Digital Rental Property up and running, you can literally DOUBLE your income with a few clicks, a couple keystrokes, and a single phone call (and you don’t actually need the phone call).

Remember: each Digital Rental Property is worth $500 to $2,000 a month in semi-passive income (over 95% profit). Every time you decide to create another one and increase your income, it gets easier.

Because you have more knowledge, more experience, more results, and more momentum.

If you wanted to double your income with an MLM, you’d have to double your customers OR double the average order size of your existing customers. And, guaranteed that’s a lot harder than a few clicks and a few minutes of your life.

TESTIMONIAL - LANCE LEAD GEN

6) Make Money Helping Real People: This part is what makes it all worth it. In an MLM, your “upline” might convince you that what you’re selling improves people’s lives, but deep down, you likely know that’s not true.

Most of the time, you’re either selling a dream or a poor-quality, overpriced product with a fancy label.

And that makes it pretty hard to sleep at night.

But with Digital Leasing, you’re actually helping people by solving your clients’ biggest problem:

Small, local businesses need more customers, and with Digital Leasing, you are unleashing a flood of happy, paying customers for these businesses.

You make money by helping them make money.

Not a big, faceless corporation either…a small business owner who’s using that money to put food on the table for their family, start a college fund for their kids, or take care of a sick parent.

Once you see how Digital Leasing makes a real impact in the lives of real people , you’ll sleep like a baby with a big smile on your face.

TESTIMONIAL - BOSS OF MY FUTURE

Now, the choice is yours.

You could continue browsing, looking at opportunities like Evolution Travel which could one day make you money.

You could continue researching, never making a decision.

OR, you could take a look inside, consider what you really want, and join a program that makes your dreams a reality. At the same time, joining a community of over 2,000 successful students that are living life on their own terms thanks to Digital Leasing.

A consistent, reliable, semi-passive stream of income that doesn’t depend on you or your time to keep producing profits.

All while genuinely helping real people who are grateful and happy to pay for it.

If this sounds more like what you want out of life (or if you just want some nice side income), click here to learn more about Digital Leasing.

Bare Naked Scam - We Tried It So You Don't Have To

Evolution Travel Scam – The Truth Revealed!

Travel around the world and make lots of money, I believe that’s a dream that you and I share, right?

But when a company offers you this opportunity to travel and earn, the question that probably pops in your mind is, “Is this a Scam?”.

Well, in this Evolution Travel Review, I am going to discuss about:

  • The reasons why people may think Evolution Travel is a scam; and
  • Whether or not you can actually earn money from this opportunity.

Before we dive deep into the details, let us understand what this company is all about.

How I Fired M y Boss and Still Earn a Full-Time Income. Here’s How You Can Too!

What is Evolution Travel?

Evolution Travel is founded by David McCovy, a veteran of the network marketing industry.

Before David McCovy founded Evolution Travel, he was the top performer of “ Paycation “, another Multi-Level Marketing company in the travel industry.

And prior to Paycation, he was one of the top performers of yet another MLM company called 5LINX.

Evolution Travel partnered with Archer Travel Service, Inc, an independent Travel company established in 1952.

Much like Evolution Travel, Archer Travel Service provides a home based business opportunity for aspiring travel agents.

Both companies have similarities in terms of the way the business is run, and each has its own expertise to bring to the table.

That’s why there’s a good synergy between the two companies.

The main competitors of Evolution Travel, in my opinion, are  World Ventures  and  InteleTravel , both companies are quite popular in Travel network marketing industry.

The Real Truth No Evolution Travel Agents want You to Know…

You see, when people think about booking a flight or a hotel room, the first thing that they would do is to head over to good old Google to search for the best deals from sites like Expedia.com, Traveloka.com, Bookings.com.

Gone were the days where people will rely on a travel agency.

Nowadays, people would rather perform such “complicated tasks” at the comfort of their home.

How tough can it be to become a Travel Agent?

So, when you become an Evolution Travel Agent, the first thing that you are probably taught to do, would be to write down a list of people whom you think may be interested in this opportunity (This process is commonly known as the “Warm Market Memory Jogger” in the network marketing industry).

Then, you start contacting the people in the list and talk to them about the opportunity.

Who would want to purchase a travel package out of the blue?

If you are lucky, you can grab the person at the right time, but if that person do not have the intention to travel any time soon, what’s next?

What most Evolution Travel agents would do is to try and recruit that person to become an Evolution Travel agent.

Here’s the complicated part…

In the books of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Multi-Level Marketing companies that focus on recruitment rather than promoting its products could be considered as a pyramid scheme.

On top of that, you’d be surprised that relationships get destroyed (I’ve seen this too many time), friends and family members start avoiding you, and you suddenly join the NFL (No Friends Left) club.

Plus, you must know that the majority of people who join Evolution Travel don’t earn any money.

Not because Evolution Travel is a scam or a poor opportunity, but because of the reasons which I will share with you in just a moment.

An Online Business Opportunity that does not revolve around recruiting. Interested?

Do you need to be an Evolution Travel Agent to enjoy Low Fares?

Alright, here’s the catch…

If you join Evolution Travel as an agent, which cost $30 upfront (retail price of $299), you’ll get these perks:

Evolution-travel-agent-perks

  • Free Cruise – Once you’ve completed an online training through Princess or Carnival Cruises
  • Earn Points Toward Rewards and Travel
  • Earn Cash and Merchandise
  • Familiarization Trips – where agents get to experience the trip that they are selling
  • Travel Agent Discounts – agents can get discounts for their hotels, theme parks, car rentals, etc.

You must note that to be an active agent with Evolution Travel, the monthly recurring administrative fee is $69.95.

I’ll leave it up to you to decide if it is worth being a travel agent.

In my opinion, it is worth the money  IF  you are serious about turning this opportunity into your full-time business.

However, as a person who always travel, I wouldn’t want to be a travel agent, but I will be interested to know if I can get better deals with Evolution Travel.

In this sense, let’s take a look at what this company can offer (Evolution Travel uses a travel search engine called faregrabbr.com):

Evolution-travel-price-difference

In the above scenario, I’ve used the same flight (Singapore Airlines 5752) as a comparison between the 2 search engines (Evolution Travel and Expedia).

Evolution Travel is slightly cheaper than Expedia by USD10.55.

Evolution-travel-price-difference-hotel

In terms of the hotel booking, Expedia seems to be cheaper than Evolution Travel by SGD52.00.

Basically, there’s not much difference in terms of the price for Evolution Travel and Expedia.

As a consumer, I would prefer Expedia because it is a trusted brand.

However, if an Evolution Travel Agent were to approach me, and give comfort that she will book and plan everything for me, including my itinerary, I might switch to Evolution Travel.

Unfortunately, that was not the case…

My Personal Experience with an Evolution Travel Agent

[NOTE: My experience may differ from yours]

I’ve recently met with an Evolution Travel Agent (online) because I have the intention to book a flight ticket.

As you know the price of the same flight (as you’ve seen above) is slightly cheaper than that of Expedia, so I’ve decided to contact one of the agents in Evolution Travel.

During our conversation, before we even talked about the flight details, the travel agent started talking about the business opportunity. Which, I wasn’t really into.

And when I started to back out from that conversation, the last words that the travel agent said to me was “If you don’t join Evolution, there’s no point buying the flight ticket from me”.

The next thing, I went to Expedia to buy my flight tickets even though it is a little more expensive.

I guess I was just unfortunate to meet with a rude travel agent.

I am sure that there are Evolution Travel Agents who sincerely want to help people with their travel plans.

Evolution Travel Agents are not really a “Travel Agent”!

Personally, I love to travel, but I hate to be responsible for someone else’s travel plans.

I used to work part-time in a travel agency when I was still schooling, and I know very well that when a travel plan got screwed up, the responsibility lies with the travel agent.

Although Evolution Travel does sound like a good opportunity, most “Travel Agents” don’t work like a real travel agent.

Most of them focus more on recruiting new “Travel Agents”, then to provide a service to the general public.

It only makes sense, because it is much easier to manage the expectation of a Travel Agent (an insider), than to handle the expectation of a customer (from the general public), and there’s a lot more incentive to recruit, than to provide a service.

When recruitment is the main focus of an MLM company, the authorities might not be that happy about it.

Competitors like  World Ventures  are already facing legal proceedings from the FTC for operating a pyramid scheme.

While I am not saying that World Ventures or Evolution Travel is a scam, but a group of “Travel Agents” who sold the business opportunity incorrectly could cause a company to falter.

As they say, one rotten apple spoils the barrel, and this applies to the companies in the MLM industry.

Is Evolution Travel a Pyramid Scheme?

Before we go any further, let us understand what is the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) stand on pyramid schemes.

Evolution-travel-ftc-pyramid-scheme

Source:  www.ftc.gov

Not only Travel Ventures International (TVI) Express, World Ventures was also caught as a pyramid scheme in Norway.

You see, this is the proper way to recruit someone:

  • Promote the service of Evolution Travel, which is the travel booking portal;
  • If the customer is satisfied with the service, you can then introduce the business opportunity.

Not the other way around.

This will fend off the authorities probing the company as a pyramid scheme.

Unfortunately, because of the way the compensation is structured, “Travel Agents” will be more inclined to recruit, than to provide a service.

In my opinion, the authorities may see Evolution Travel as a pyramid scheme.

What do you think about my opinion? Please feel free to share your opinion in the comment section below.

I got sick and tired of company politics, so fired my boss and never looked back. Here’s how I did it!

The Evolution Travel Compensation Plan

This is how you get paid for promoting the Evolution Travel service to the general public:

And, this is what you will earn if you promote the business opportunity:

Obviously, promoting the business opportunity is definitely more lucrative.

However, you must note that in order to earn a substantial amount of money from this opportunity, and to finally quit your job, you’ll need to achieve the rank of 1 Star Platinum.

To achieve that, you’ll need to maintain at least 300 Travel Agents in your team.

I don’t know about you, but maintaining 300 recurring members for me, is extremely difficult. I am sure a few Travel agents can achieve that, but I can guarantee that the majority can’t.

To sustain a business like this, you need to have a constant flow of new recruits.

And, sad to say, the turnover rate of recruits is extremely high.

The majority joins the business, finds it hard to achieve success, and they quit. It is the most natural thing to do for any individuals because it only make sense to cut their losses (monthly recurring payment) when they are not in too deep.

It is only a small percentage of Travel Agents who will grind and hustle so that they can live a better life.

Why the Majority of the Travel Agents Fail?

Monthly recurring bills from Evolution Travel keeps coming, and if you don’t start earning money from this opportunity, you’ll start sinking money into it.

Many Travel Agents feel pressurized by the monthly recurring payments, and they couldn’t help but cut their losses.

But, that’s not the main reason they quit.

Many Travel Agents are hard working people, but sometimes they fear many things.

The fear of destroying relationships with their friends and family because of the opportunity, the worry of what others might think about them, the fear of failure, and so many other reasons.

But, the most important reason for failure is, not finding the  PASSION  in what they are selling.

If someone is so enthusiastic about Evolution Travel, and she truly believes that what she is doing is making a difference in people’s life, there’s really no reason for that somebody to quit.

That’s why the majority are not suitable to be in this business opportunity.

My Sincere Advice to You

If you join Evolution Travel just so you can enjoy the discounts on your travel packages, then you are probably making the wrong decision.

Yes, you do qualify for discounts, but don’t forget that you need to pay the monthly membership fee of $69.95.

Unless you travel frequently, and your total savings from travel packages outweigh the membership fee, otherwise, there’s really no point for you to stay as a member.

People who join Evolution Travel should be those who seek to turn the opportunity into a full-time business.

Not everyone is cut out to be successful in this business, in fact, the majority will fail.

If you think you have what it takes to become successful with Evolution Travel, great!

I wish you all the best in your endeavor.

However, if you think that this is not the opportunity you are looking for, and you wish to find one that is suitable for you, then I’d recommend that you  check out this program .

This is the program that taught me everything about making money online, and it is also the reason for me to fire my boss and earn a full-time income online. You can  read my story here .

Thank you so much for reading this review!

I hope I have provided you with the information you need to make an informed decision.

If you think that this review has helped, please share this with people who might really need this information.

My Secret to Online Sucess

I joined Evo alittle over 2 yrs ago. I told my sponsor I was not joining to recruit. I wanted to sell travel and not full time. I’m a fulltime Insurance Broker and was just looking for a home based business to help me with my taxes and IF I make extra money off bookings then that’s a plus! I’m almost at my $5000 in commissions and I’m grateful that working part time the way I do this business it has allowed me to be a service to my family & friends who do want to support me in this journey. I find the $69.99 is well worth it!

Hi there! I am an evolution travel agent. I’ve paid my fee more times than I’ve made commissions but I can say I have been blessed with some great deals and perks. I do love the resort weeks available to me as an agent. 1 week for my family of 8 at a resort in California for only $300 is a steal of a deal (as I’m sure you can imagine traveling with 8 can get expensive). I also very much enjoy my car rental discounts. I didn’t enroll as an agent to make it my full time business and I do not do any recruiting because I’m not interested in the “mlm” side of it. I do help my family and friends with travel needs but I was more interested in the perks for my own travel. I did want to add that because although this post was very well written there are many different options that I feel were left out in regards to “joining for the discounts” – I have been satisfied with my deals and discounts so far as someone who also travels much.

Interesting read. I am an Evolution Agent. I can say that you are correct you must have passion and truly want to work the business. I have recruited so my $70 fee is covered each month by my residual income, but that part of the compensation plan is optional. There is a lot of training of you want to succeed. There are like 6 weekly webinars from the company. There are also a lot of other training opportunities where peers share and/or vendors. A Q and A group links all of the agents on facebook to make it super easy to constantly assist each other. Also, the uplines are held to a high standard and are very available. I, personally, love the company!

Also, in regards to your experience, I am sorry you had that. Faregrabber is not our only option for booking your trips. If you need assistance in the future, I would be honored to assist you.

Wow , everybody has an opinion . Thank You Alan for listing the facts ..

This is all very interesting and enjoyable to read! If someone was looking to choose between Evolution or Intele, I am not sure I would know which one to go for though Jack!

I am interested to know what’s your choice. 🙂

Cheers! ~Jack (BareNakedScam)

As far as Faregrbber Even deeper discounted deals

There are 2 competitors These guys have the most awards for service

Thank you for sharing this, but I stand by what I’ve wrote.

Perks or not, it is not easy to be a travel agent. Hardly anyone engages a travel agent nowadays.

So, you have to consider the facts before joining.

Hi Jack I truly enjoyed reading your article on Evolution Travel as I just joined. My recruiter seems to be doing good and hasn’t pushed the business opportunity portion of the program as much as how to build my clientele. I just completed the online training and got my certificate. I am retired and looking to make some extra income, not trying to get rich or anything close. If I can My family is involved in sports (head baseball coach for a university in Miami and kids involved in travel teams) so they travel constantly. Like you I believe in providing the service the client is seeking and if they are interested in the opportunity, I will be glad to show it to them, etc. My recruiter has reassured me she will always be there and seems to be very knowledgeable. She told me she has help agent from other up lines. Based on this brief information, do you think I could make a go of this? Your honest opinion is greatly appreciated. I read most of your comments and looked at your WA website and info which inspired trust in what you say. Thanks and blessings to you on your endeavor.

Hey Miriam,

Maybe you can try to understand how many people are in your recruiter’s group, and whether or not there is a group coaching or sorts. Hopefully, your recruiter can invite you to one of the group coaching and you can see how the coaching is conducted. That way, you will have a better understanding of what you are getting into, instead of trusting an empty promise.

If there is no scheduled meetups or “e-meetups”, how do you know that you will get your questions answered? The last thing you want is to join the business and assume that your sponsor will start teaching you the trades of the business. Most of the time, the sponsors will make you all sorts of promises, and you will be left alone when you needed help.

If you want to counter this, maybe you can ask your sponsor what is the training plan, and how does he/she intend to coach you? There must be a structured way to teach something new to someone. If you don’t get an answer on this, most likely, you will run into the issues I’ve just mentioned.

I hope this helps Miriam! Maybe if you are still interested in this opportunity and you do not want to rely on your sponsor for training and support, you can probably check this out and see if this is something that will help your business.

Hi Jack – Your review is pretty much spot on. Having a very short period of inside experience with EVO, I personally didn’t find the value in the opportunity, having the monthly subscription hanging over my head.

As you said, unless you live and breath travel and make it your full time business, you are not likely to generate positive revenue at EVO or any other MLM travel host for that matter. Also, in my personal experience with the direct supplier access, I found the pricing to be pretty much the same as a consumer could get booking it online themselves.

Most customers are looking to save money – bottom line – that’s why they shop around. And I agree with you, that they are likely to use a “trusted” name like Expedia before turning to a travel agent – even if we’re using the same engines.

As usual, Jack, I am highly impressed by the extent that you go to during your investigations of companies. I thoroughly enjoy reading your reviews and value your opinions. You are well on your way to becoming a world-known authority on business reviews. Keep up the good work.

Thanks so much for your kind words Ted!

Evolution Travel Review: Legit Or A Scam?

evolution travel reddit

A lot of people love to travel. Being able to visit different places, having the adventure of a lifetime, meeting new people, and immersing oneself in a different culture.

Travelling is one of the most common activities that people do when they are looking to unwind, relax, destress, or escape from the everyday stresses of life.

This is why people are always looking forward to their next travel escape, making plans in advance and arranging their schedules.

This is also why the demand for travel packages, discounts, and deals are high. Traveling is an expensive activity and these deals and packages can help make going on vacation a bit easy on the wallet.

Now fortunately for you, there is a way for you to take advantage of this demand and earn some money. There are a lot of companies out there offering opportunities to make money selling and promoting travel packages.

One such company is called Evolution Travel. It is a multilevel marketing (MLM) company that acts like a travel agency offering travel discounts and packages.

To make money here, you become one of their remote travel agents and earn commissions for selling the companys products.

The amount of money you can earn will depend on a lot of factors but being a member can also help you save on your next travel trip. But is Evolution Travel really a legit opportunity to make money or is it just a scam that you should avoid?

You can also check out the  step-by-step training  that helps me earn over $10,000+ per month working from home.

Evolution Travel is A Legit Opportunity To Make Money

Evolution Travel is an MLM company that offers travel deals and packages to people who are looking for affordable ways to take a vacation.

As an MLM company, it also offers you an opportunity to make money by becoming one of their remote travel agents and sell the products that the company offers.

Based on what I’ve seen so far, I can say that the opportunity that Evolution Travel offers is very much legitimate. You can really make money as a travel agent selling the travel packages and discounts that the company offers.

The good thing here is that you can also take advantage of these packages and have an affordable vacation yourself.

  • How To Setup Your Own Money Making Blog

Of course, this doesn’t mean there aren’t any issues or problems with this opportunity. Chief among the issues is how expensive it is to keep your membership with the company.

Another issue is that Evolution Travel is limited to its exposure to top airlines, hotels, and travel destinations.

There are also a lot of complaints with some of the company’s travel agents. And finally, the compensation plan seems to focus more on recruitment.

In the next section, I’ll discuss in more detail the issues and complaints about Evolution Travel.

Who Uses Evolution Travel?

Evolution Travel is designed for two types of people, with one being those who are looking for affordable travel packages and deals to help lower the cost of going on vacation. The other types are those looking for opportunities to make some money on the side.

For people who are traveling, the company has a wide array of travel packages and deals.

These travel packages can help lower the cost of your travel plans and make your vacation affordable and easier on the wallet.

The company has a lot of packages to choose from and the travel agents can also help you look for the package that suits you needs.

For people looking to make money, Evolution Travel offers an opportunity to become a remote travel agent and sell the packages and deals they have.

You get to earn commissions whenever you make a sale. You can also make money recruiting people into the program and building your team of travel agents.

In the next section, I’ll discuss in more detail how this opportunity works.

How Does Evolution Travel Work?

Evolution Travel is a company that offers travel packages, discounts, and coupons that can make traveling for people more affordable.

Now, the products the company offers don’t come from them, but from a third-party provider called Archer Travel Services, Inc. So Evolution Travel just serves as an affiliate for a different company.

Now to be a travel agent, you’ll need to purchase the Professional Travel Agent (PTA) Package. It initially costs $299 to be a member, but that amount can be as little as $49 if it’s on sale.

There is also a monthly fee that you need to pay if you want to qualify for commissions. The fee is $69.95 a month.

Once you are a member, you can start earning commissions and bonuses. The company has 6 levels that you need to achieve.

They are Consultant, Executive Consultant, Bronze Consultant, Silver Consultant, Gold Consultant, and Platinum Consultant.

You get more commissions and bonuses the higher your level is. To increase the level, you’ll need to sell a certain number of PTA packages and have a certain number of active members.

Now as a travel agent, you get to earn 90% commissions when you sell the products. But, 80% will only go to you and the 10% will go to your sponsor. It’s important to note that not all products earn you commissions.

You’ll also get a customizable website, but you’ll need your own web hosting and domain name for it. You also get a discount directory where you can find discounts for your own personal travel.

What Are People Saying about Evolution Travel?

Now reviews and comments about Evolution Travel are not really that good. Yes, a lot of them say the MLM company is legit and you can really make some money from the opportunity.

However, most of them don’t really recommend what this company offers and one of the main reasons for that is how expensive the opportunity can be.

evolution travel reddit

Yes, the cost of the membership package can go down to as low as $49, but you’ll have to pay a monthly fee of $69.95 just to qualify for commissions.

Paying $70 a month can be a bit steep, especially since making money is not really guaranteed with this opportunity.

And aside from the monthly fee you also have to pay for your own web hosting and domain name, which will add to your monthly cost.

Another issue with Evolution Travel is that it is an affiliate of Archer Travel Service, Inc., which means the travel network that they have access to is limited.

This means that they likely won’t have discounts or packages that involves some of the top airlines, hotels, and travel destinations.

There are also a lot of complaints about unethical travel agents. Now, this is something that cannot really be avoided, especially with opportunities like this one.

A lot of people who become travel agents are really only after the money-making aspect of this opportunity. So, their main goal will just be to make a sale and won’t really care much about anything else.

Since the company also has certain requirements to level up, agents will also push hard for people to purchase the PTA packages.

This brings the last issue about Evolution Travel, which is its compensation plan is really focused more on recruitment.

Yes, they are selling a product, but the product is the membership to the company, so it’s still basically recruitment.

This opportunity is really just a pyramid scheme in disguise and relying on recruitment to make money is not really a sustainable opportunity.

What I Like about Evolution Travel

Now that we know what Evolution Travel is and what they are able to bring to the table, it’s time to discuss what I like about this opportunity.

  • One of the things that I like about Evolution Travel is the discount list that they will give to each travel agent. This is great since it allows you to save some money on your next travel plans.
  • I also like that Evolution Travel is backed by Archer Travel Service, Inc. Yes, it somehow limits its travel network reach but the company is still solid and has been in the industry since 1952. The fact that Evolution Travel is backed by them is already a big plus for this opportunity.

What I Dislike about Evolution Travel

Of course, not everything about Evolution Travel is good and dandy, as there are also things about this opportunity that I don’t like.

  • The first thing that I don’t like about Evolution Travel is that your membership can be a bit expensive. You have to pay the company $70 a month just so your account can qualify for commissions. Then, you’ll also need your own web hosting and domain name for the website that they will provide you. This will add up to the cost of your membership and it’s a lot of money to spend, especially if you’re not making enough or earning at all.
  • I also don’t like that Evolution Travel’s compensation plan is really focused more on recruitment. To raise your rankings, you’ll need to recruit a certain number of people and keep them active as well. The number of new recruits will rise as your level rises as well, so this MLM is really all about recruitment.

Do I Recommend Evolution Travel?

After learning more about what Evolution Travel is and what they can offer, I would say that this is an opportunity that is not really worth checking out.

evolution travel reddit

Yes, you can get travel discounts by becoming a travel agent for the company but that’s really the only benefit you can get from this opportunity which is already negated by the monthly membership fee.

Sure, you have the possibility to make money here, but you’ll need to recruit a lot of people to be a travel agent as well to really make money.

It’s already hard to make money with MLM, considering the many factors needed in order for you to earn. But Evolution Travel has made it even harder by making their compensation plan focus more on recruitment.

You really have to be a good recruiter and motivator since you’ll also need to have active members in your team to level up your rank.

This type of compensation is not really sustainable since you’ll soon run out of people to recruit to be a member.

This is why MLM companies that focus on recruitment are often labeled as scams since the model is not really sustainable. There are a lot of better opportunities out there than what Evolution Travel offers.

This Memory Foam Travel Pillow Is So Comfortable That I Started Using It at Home — and It’s 30% Off at Amazon

It makes any trip feel five-star.

evolution travel reddit

Upon checking in to any hotel — most recently the gorgeous villas at the Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort in Cancun — the first thing I do is kick off my shoes and lay on the bed to test out the pillows. Will they be too hard? Too stuffed? Too flat? A bad pillow ruins a good night’s sleep, and when you travel at least twice a month for work like I do, often to multiple continents, losing a night’s sleep is a disaster.

That’s why I always come prepared with my Sidney Sleep Mini Travel Pillow (luckily, the Westin’s were perfect, but it never hurts to have extra comfort). Ever since I discovered this memory foam pillow that packs up into its own backpack, I bring it wherever I go: plane, hotel, train — you name it. I even started using it at home.

Sidney Sleep Mini Travel Pillow

So, what is so great about this pillow? Unlike so many travel pillows, you can stuff this one with the perfect amount of fluffiness for you. The pillow comes with adjustable shredded memory foam that you add or remove to adjust the pillow’s firmness and height to your ideal comfort level. Unlike traditional down pillows, it is also designed for side and back sleepers with a crescent-shaped design that contours to your shoulders, centering your head, and helping with spinal alignment. The outer pillowcase is removable, machine-washable, and dries quickly.

I’m writing this article from my suite at the Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona , overlooking the city’s most famous shopping street, Paseo de Gracia. I’m sitting at the wood and leather desk facing the windows in the elegant living room, and in the bedroom my dog Poppy is snoozing on the Sidney Sleep travel pillow. I specifically packed it for the long-haul flight but it’s gotten so much use since then.

I went to Barcelona to get my pup her EU pet passport and made an exception to pack the pillow in my carry-on as I knew it would be perfect padding for stuffing between myself and the window on the 8-hour flight. It was!

Because the pillow is shaped like a half-moon, I find it also makes a creative armrest on full flights when you don’t want to share one with the person in the middle seat. I simply place the pillow on the window side armrest, and it then curves into my body, and I can rest my other arm on it as well.

I’m not the only one in love with this travel pillow. Over at Amazon, it has more than 4,000 five-star reviews. One reviewer said , “I tried six different travel pillows before settling on this little gem because I have a very sensitive neck. I love the crescent shape that nestles around your neck, the ability to move the filling around, and the fact that you can add or subtract the filling.” They continued to say, “I also love the soft plushy case that you can wash. Oh, and as a bonus you get a nicely made string bag to help keep it clean.”

Another happy shopper who says they were on the hunt for the right pillow for years said they’ve finally found the one, saying it’s “ marshmallowy perfect .” They said, “Please excuse all of my exclamation points in this review, but I have been searching for the perfect pillow for so long, I am ecstatic to have finally found it. No more sore neck and finally great sleep.”

The one downside of the Sidney Sleep is it takes up more space than other travel pillows. It does come with a lightweight backpack to carry it in, but this is not convenient for travel on planes, as it would count as one of your two travel items.

For domestic flights, I usually pack it in my suitcase and then whip it out if the hotel pillow is bad. But as mentioned above, I like using it as a pillow on long-hauls. In the past, I was not above bringing a full-sized pillow from my bedroom just to be comfortable (I’d also pack this for hotel stays and it was a serious space killer in my bags).

For the Sidney Sleep Mini Travel Pillow , I usually put it into a generic compression sack, like this one by Frelaxy on Amazon for $20, and then shove that into my carry-on backpack to keep it from taking over my bag. The Sidney is easy to clean with a removable pillowcase that can be washed. And it is affordable at just $33 right now.

This airplane pillow attaches to your headrest, so I can actually sleep on a plane — even in the middle seat

When you buy through our links, Business Insider may earn an affiliate commission. Learn more

  • This $40 Cabeau travel pillow has made my economy red-eye flights feel like business class.
  • It attaches to your headrest, so it won't move around even during turbulence and I can finally sleep on the plane — even in the middle seat.
  • It also has an ergonomic design that's more comfortable than other airplane pillows I've used, and rolls up into its own case so I can travel with it easier.

Insider Today

Since business class seats are financially out of reach for many frequent fliers, anyone who's flown economy is familiar with the woes of sleeping on a plane.

I've seen fellow passengers bring inflatable pillows, squishy bean-bag styles, and more, but they all slide around and continuously shift with every turbulent bump. That's why I love the $40 Cabeau Evolution S3 pillow .

This pillow isn't exactly stylish, but when I'm spending 10+ on a flight, I don't care. Now that many airlines are charging extra money to choose a seat before checking in, I feel a sense of dread when I realize I've got a middle seat on my upcoming flight. But with this pillow, I know that I can sleep comfortably in any seat with no fear of slumping down onto my neighbor two minutes after I doze off.

This travel pillow can be secured to your headrest so it won't move around as you sleep

The Evolution S3 pillow looks somewhat similar to many other U-shaped airplane pillows. However, it has a handful of extra features that make a big difference.

There's no much set-up involved in using the Evolution S3 pillow – it's a pillow, after all – but it does include two straps that you can secure around your seat's headrest (even if you're stuck in the dreaded middle seat). It attaches around the headrest for adults or around the base of the headrest for kids and shorter travelers. Because the straps are elastic and secured with Velcro, it can wrap around just about any size headrest – it's definitely "one-size-fits-all" and I didn't have any problems using it on my flights. The overall experience is much more comfortable than using an inflatable pillow.

One design consideration though is that if your seat doesn't have a headrest at all, the traps on this pillow might not stretch wide enough. If that's the case, you can still use the pillow like you would any other, and I'd bet the ergonomic design would still work better than your other travel pillows.

As for the visuals, the pillow comes in a variety of colors. The " Cardinal " and " Galaxy " color options are probably the most attention-grabbing while the gray and black will likely blend in a bit better with your seat's headrest. I prefer the brighter ones as I tend to leave things on planes fairly often and those stand out a bit more.

It's also comfortable and can be rolled up in its own travel case

Instead of being a lumpy, uncomfortable pillow that gives you a few hours of sporadic sleep, the memory foam makes it actually comfortable. You can rest nearly as well in your airplane seat as you can at home on your couch.

During my testing, neck pain or a falling pillow never woke me up. Instead of nodding off and falling over on my neighbor – or, worse, not falling asleep at all on a red-eye – I fell asleep fast and stayed asleep. If you've got an eye mask and earplugs or headphones, you can basically settle in for the night. It's almost like having a cushy business-class seat — except that it only costs $40.

When you're all ready to deplane, the pillow can be rolled up "like a cinnamon roll" (according to the instructions) and slipped into the accompanying storage bag. You can then clip the bag around your suitcase, saving storage space in your carry-on bag. It was easy to fit in the case on my first try.

The area around your neck is raised higher to keep your head from rolling as you sleep

One of my favorite features, aside from the ability to stay upright via the headrest attachment, is the focus on keeping your head and neck straight.

The inside of the U-shape (the area of the pillow closest to your neck) is raised higher than the rest of the pillow to help avoid head bobbing, which can wake up even the heaviest sleeper. This pillow is also flat in the back, which might not sound important, but it is.

Normal airplane pillows can push your neck out and make it difficult to find a comfortable fit. But because this one is flat in the back, it sits right against the headrest, keeping your spine aligned and upright instead of being pitched forward.

If you like to wear a mask or listen to music when you sleep, you'll love the roomy side pocket on the pillow. I stored my eye mask in it, and when I was ready to sleep, I swapped it for my phone to avoid dropping it while I slept. This is also a good strategy if you still use headphones with a cord like me, so you don't have to worry about the cord dangling or getting tangled in your blanket.

The material might make your neck feel warm, but the removable cover is machine-washable

A potential downside of the Evolution S3 pillow is that it might make your neck a little warm, which I experienced.

I'm almost always freezing on planes, but I had my male travel companion test it out too just to confirm. While he agreed that the pillow was far more comfortable than expected, he also reported waking up with some neck sweat. Fortunately, the cover is removable and can be machine-washed, so even if you do happen to overheat, you can wash it when you get home (or in your hotel room sink.)

While I wouldn't consider it a major issue, it's worth noting that the pillow will get smushed when it's rolled up and in the case, so it'd take a few minutes to fully expand again. For that reason, Cabeau recommends using the case only during travel and not storing the pillow rolled up.

I've never slept better on a plane, and even my seat neighbors have commented on the ingenious design

This pillow is an affordable way to help make your next flight feel far more comfortable than you ever thought possible, even if you're in a middle seat in economy.

Most airplane pillows are generic inflatable or bean-bag style options sold at airport stores and slide around when you need it most. In terms of innovative styles that prop your head up, the Trtl Travel Pillow wraps around your neck so you can customize the fit. It's about $10 cheaper and easier to travel with as it doesn't include a foam base like this one, but it doesn't connect to headrests and doesn't have storage pockets, which are features I found to be key with the Evolution S3 pillow .

I've never slept better on a plane than with the Evolution S3 pillow, and I've even had a seat neighbors comment on the ingenious design. Yes, it looks a little weird, but who cares if you wake up on the other side of the world feeling well-rested and ready to go?
