Britain & Ireland Tours

Why not add England and Scotland to your Irish tour experience? A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compare and contrast these unique but interconnected cultures. Experience a rich and overlapping history, told from three singular perspectives. Three distinct outlooks, three separate national identities — one friendly welcome. Compare the royalty and pageantry of London with the very different majesty you will find in the rolling glens, lochs and highlands of Scotland. Of course, we think that Ireland holds the crown, with a landscape, a culture and a heritage that puts the Emerald Isle among the jewels of all European travel.

Stay in real castles

That's right — with our Irish castle tours, you not only visit real Irish castles, you get to stay overnight in them, too. Choose from four castle tour vacation packages , crafted for you by our Irish-born team of tour experts. Whichever tour you choose, you can expect to live like nobility for the duration of your time with us here in Ireland.

Our small groups guarantee Never more than 26 guests per tour

We always keep our tour group sizes small. That's because we want every guest to get the comfort, space and service they deserve. Although many other companies squeeze in groups of up to 50, even the largest of our tour packages are strictly limited to just 26 guests. That leaves empty seats on the coaches. So why do we limit our tours to such small group sizes? Here are six reasons.

Superior Service

Guests consistently list our small group sizes as a top reason why they would book with us again. See our reviews...

More focus on you

With a smaller group, our tour guides have more time to get to know you and your interests.

We deliberately leave empty seats on our coaches, so you can relax and spread out.

Experience each attraction up-close and personal, with more time to ask questions and see what interests you.

Speedier Check-Ins

Compared with many of our rivals, our smaller group sizes make checking in and out of the hotels a breeze.

More Relaxed Pace

Experience Ireland at your own pace. No rushing to keep up and no waiting around for large groups to assemble.

Mond ay, May 1 3th, 2024

This morning depart Dublin and travel south to Cork... enroute you will stop in Co. Laois to visit Ballykilcavan Farm and Brewery - The farm has been the home of the Walsh family since 1639 and the current owners, David and Lisa Walsh-Kemmis, are the13th generation of the family to live and work there. They have set up a craft brewery in the 240 year old stone grain store at Ballykilcavan, and grow the barley used to make the beers in the field next to the farmyard. The brewing water is drawn from a well beside the brewery and David has also established a new hop garden. The company sells a range of craft beers from traditional lager, red ale and stout to more exotic Indian Pale Ales and canned beers. Each batch is made by hand on their copper-clad 1000 litre kit and bottled on site.

The Rock of Cashel

After visit the Rock of Cashel - Set on a dramatic outcrop of limestone in the Golden Vale, the Rock of Cashel, iconic in its historic significance, possesses the most impressive cluster of medieval buildings in Ireland. Among the monuments to be found there is a round tower, a high cross, a Romanesque chapel, a Gothic cathedral, an abbey, the Hall of the Vicars Choral and a fifteenth-century Tower House. Originally the seat of the kings of Munster, according to legend St. Patrick himself came here to convert King Aenghus to Christianity. Brian Boru was crowned High King at Cashel in 978 and made it his capital. In 1101 the site was granted to the church and Cashel swiftly rose to prominence as one of the most significant centers of ecclesiastical power in the country. The surviving buildings are remarkable. Cormac’s Chapel, for example, contains the only surviving Romanesque frescoes in Ireland. The Rock of Cashel is one of Ireland’s most spectacular and – deservedly – most visited tourist attractions.

Arrival to Cork, Ireland

Arrive in Cork City which is Ireland’s second largest city, and spend 2 nights here. Built on a marsh, the city proper is inter-laced with winding canal and the river, which gives it a distinctly European air. The river Lee divides the city in two and is perhaps best reflected in the well-patterned architectural development incorporating the best of old and new. Cork is the home of Murphy’s stout and also to the world-famous Jazz Festival.

Through interactive touch screen and holographic imagery and audio visual presentation, we’re given the background and context to Irish emigration in 1912, we see inside the famous ship built by Belfast manufacturers, Harland and Wolff, and re live the tragic events leading to disaster. Arrival in Killarney

Arrive in Killarney. Nationally and internationally renowned as the undisputed centre of tourism in the South West of Ireland, Killarney has it all. While its wild beauty and glorious scenery have, for centuries, established it firmly in the affections of all who have visited, Killarney is also a thriving commercial town offering an abundance of attractions and entertainment. Exciting all summer long, Killarney has been able to hold its premier position amongst other tourist destinations with a variety of festivals and an unequalled nightlife. Over seventy pubs line the streets of this town while a vast array of restaurants and accommodation ensure that every imaginable taste can be catered for. The popularity of the town is not a modern-day phenomenon though. It has welcomed visitors for over 200 years. Famously, one particular lake view was dedicated to the Ladies in Waiting of Queen Victoria, who visited the area in 1861. Their visit has been commemorated by the naming of "Ladies' View",

Check into Randles Hotel where you will overnight for the next 2 nights.

Enjoy dinner in a local restaurant in Killarney tonight.

Enjoy the lovely view of the 3 Lakes of Killarney from 'Ladies View’. The view here is probably the best known of Killarney and is a major attraction for visitors. Queen Victoria's ladies-in- waiting visited here during the royal visit in 1861. They were so taken with the view that it was named after them. If you walk up the road from the viewing point, there is another parking area and a path that leads to a wonderful view of the upper lake.  Followed by lunch.

Kennedy, Bob Hope, Eleanor Roosevelt, and the dignitaries, movie stars and refugees who landed here during World War II. See how this unique story is told by an original film in a 1940s style cinema. Check out the World War II exhibits and take the chance to board a life-size replica of the Boeing 314 Flying Boat. From the Cliffs of Moher on a clear day one can see the Aran Islands and Galway Bay, as well as the Twelve Pins and the Maum Turk mountains in Connemara, Loop Head to the south and the Dingle Peninsula and Blasket Islands in Kerry. O’Brien’s Tower stands near the highest point and has served as a viewing point for visitors for hundreds of years.

Enjoy a brief stop in Doolin, a charming small seaside village on the northwest coast of County Clare. Set against the rugged Atlantic Ocean and surrounded by the spectacular bare limestone landscape of the Burren, Doolin is a place of breathtaking beauty. Traditionally a fishing village, Doolin is now renowned world-wide as the traditional music capital of Ireland.

Arrival in Galway

Arrive in Galway. Galway City is the focal point of Co. Galway and the west of Ireland. It nestles at the neck of Galway Bay and is reputed to have been Columbus’ final point of departure on his voyage of discovery. See St Nicholas Church, the Spanish Arch and Eyre Square. St Nicholas Church is a medieval church, which is dedicated to the patron saint of sailors. The Spanish Arch is a reminder of the city's trading links with Spain. Part of the medieval town wall is visible on the south side of the arch. Eyre Square is the focal point of the modern city between the old town and the docks and it centers on a small park, named after John F Kennedy.

Check into the Hardiman Hotel, where you will overnight for the next 2 nights.

Celebrating 24 years of fulfilling your travel needs.

Canadian Company Irish Heritage

Canadian Company, Irish Heritage

This year we celebrate 24 years of making memories in Ireland with you. It’s been our genuine pleasure to invite you to experience Ireland up close and personal, and we’re proud of the part we’ve played in helping to create thousands of exceptional vacations. As our business has grown during this time, the fundamental purpose of RIT has remained the same: to give you an authentic, hand-crafted vacation experience that you won’t soon forget.

The authentic Irish experience, created with care

We can recommend our tours to you because we’ve experienced them ourselves. We’ve explored the magnificent basalt columns at the Giant’s Causeway and breathed the coastal air at the mighty Cliffs of Moher. We’ve experienced the warm, inviting atmosphere of a Dublin pub and immersed ourselves in the rich mythology embedded deep into the living rock of Irish castles. We want you to feel the same enthusiasm about Ireland that we do. With us, your vacation is in good hands.

Irish roots run deep at RIT

Though Canada is home for the Duffy family, Ireland is in our blood. This patriotic love is the driving force behind everything we do. We pride ourselves on the unparalleled, personal experiences that we make possible through our strong familiarity with the land and its locals. The care we have for Ireland will be evident throughout every detail of your tour.

One name, four spectacular destinations

As we open tours to new regions of the British Isles and beyond, our priority is that we don’t forget where we came from. For this reason, we’ve rolled all of our tours in under the name of RIT. Under this banner, we are proud to present you with your 2024 vacation options. Happy travels!

Hello, I am considering booking a tour with Emerald Elite, but didn't see any reviews. Has anyone used them before? I'd appreciate the feedback!

' class=

Well, I have never heard of them, but I rather think they would be out of my league! The website is certainly impressive and I cannot see anything in it that does not ring true. Hope you get some feedback, but I don't think there has been any discussion about them previously.

elite tours irland

I saw their website this weekend and put in a request for an itenerary and quote. I'll let you know when I hear from them- do the same for me if you communicate with them.

Thanks! I was looking at Emerald Elite tour offered thru Jetsetter.com ( gilt's sister travel company). It sounds very interesting and comprehensive. I wonder how Jetsetter price would compare to the actual website quote? if you want to check it out and not a member or have difficulty joining, let me know and I can send you an invite.

The tour was for six of us. This included my wife, her daughter, our son-in-law and their two children, aged 9 and 11 at the time, and me. Our driver/guide was Paul. He is very helpful, funny and had stories and history of everything we saw or drove past.

Our accommodations were very nice everywhere we stayed over 8 days. Glasha Farmhouse was a particular favorite, as was the small pub just down the lane from it. Ballynahinch Castle was our welcome to Ireland. It could not have been more perfect. Every day was delightful, with no hassles.

If you are considering a small group tour in Ireland, you would do well to consider Emerald Elite Custom Tours.

My post #5 above should have indicated that I used Emerald Custom Tours, a Division of Emerald Elite Group. It is a First-Class operation.

My dear friends in Trip advisor....

Can you feel the love tonight?

The peace the evening brings

The world, for once, in perfect harmony

With all its living things

You needn't look too far

Stealing through the night's uncertainties

Love is where they are

Bill - any chance you could show me the way to Camarillo??

The tour guide, Aemon (sp?) was amazing, the food and lodging were all wonderful and we met some great new friends. (There were 9 of us in our little group.) I am incredibly picky about food and used to wonderful Boston restaurants. (My b/f is something of a foodie.) The food was incredible. Aemon knows every great out of the way restaurant in Ireland. He is also incredibly knowledgeable and is able to support the history of each historic site that you visit ~ in a charming/not overwhelming way.(My mom took copious notes while my niece and I just listened and enjoyed...) What a fabulous way to see Ireland. Book your trip today without worry. It is definitely worth every euro ~ even when your mom is not paying the bill. :) Beth from Boston

Escorted Tours with Elite Travel

Let us take you on a journey. Our escorted tours are small group journeys with quality inclusions, like local tour leaders who can give you an authentic insight into the places they live and characterful accommodation in the best locations. We hand-pick each part to include everything you need to get the most out of a destination and extra touches you may not expect, so that you’ll come away feeling that you got to know a destination in a unique way.

Travelling with a group can give you the confidence to visit places you might not have considered independently and you’ll get to share new travel experiences with like-minded people. Our small group tour holidays take you to see sights and arrange experiences that aren’t suitable for larger groups and we believe in a relaxed approach; there’s no need for seat rotations or headsets. All of our escorted small group tours are for over 16s.
