Coronation Street: The Tour has evolved to become The Coronation Street Experience, now complete with an exhibition, replica sets, costumes, props, café, retail and cinema!

In addition to the tour guests can journey through over 60 years of television history as you see original iconic props and costumes, a collection of artwork AND replica interior sets of The Dobbs, Roy’s Rolls and The Rovers Return.

Wander through more of Weatherfield as the Coronation Street Tour takes you on a trip down the nation’s most famous street. Discover the hidden world that lies behind the camera lens.

Furthermore, explore the sensational external sets at MediaCityUK on a guided tour taking in Coronation Street, Rosamund Street and the newly extended Victoria Street.

Recall stories from yesteryear, maybe hear filming secrets, while taking a selfie on the street. As well as this, follow in the footsteps of your favourite characters down those Coronation Street cobbles.

Depending on your time of arrival there are plenty of attractions to discover near MediaCityUK, including IWM North.

Next we head to the famous cobbles and the Coronation Street Experience including Tour.

Coronation Street The Tour will last approximately 1.5 hours and be full of filming stories and secrets and packed with picture opportunities. This is your chance to step on to the largest working television lot in the country and be immersed in the familiar surroundings of the Rovers Return, Roy’s Rolls, Underworld and The Kabin.

The new exhibition includes replica sets, costumes, props, café, retail and cinema is in addition to the tour. Journey through over 60 years of television history as you see original iconic props and costumes, a collection of artwork AND replica interior sets of The Dobbs, Roy’s Rolls and The Rovers Return (approx. 45 minutes).

Return to the hotel after the tour, check-in and then sit down for dinner.

Travel home – why not choose an optional extra attraction…?

The next day begin your journey home. There is a wealth of attractions in the area that you can visit before returning home. Please see below for just some of our suggestions. Please note these attractions are optional extras and carry a supplement – available upon request.

What happens on the day?

On arrival, the two of you will be warmly welcomed, ready for your 90-minute tour to commence. You’ll meet up with your expert guide and head on an adventure around Coronation Street’s most recognisable places. Don't forget to stop by the brand-new Coronation Street Exhibition, boasting a treasure trove of new replica sets, props, and costumes that bring Coronation Street to life.

Participant guidelines

• Under 16's must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times
• Please be aware this is an outdoor walking tour where guests will do around 5,000 steps.
• Suitable footwear is encouraged
• The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary

Availability

The tour is available on selected Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year.  Exclusions may apply. Dates are finalised with production two months prior.

We recommend you book at least six weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.

The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to walk down the famous cobbles of Coronation Street?

Well now’s your chance, as the famous soap opens its doors to visitors once again.

Starting from April 1 (no, this isn’t an April fools!), fans of the show will not only get the chance to tour the Corrie set, located in the heart of Manchester’s MediaCity, but will also have the opportunity to meet a cast member.

These special ‘Star Tours’ had a sell-out run in 2022 with stars such as Peter Barlow actor Chris Gascoyne and the recently departed Jack James Ryan, who played Jacob Hay, making an appearance.

For those wishing to attend the tours, the star appearing will be kept under wraps until the time of the experience, for an extra level of excitement!

This opportunity to say hello to a cast member and pose for a picture will be a moment to treasure for any soap fan.

That’s not all, as fans will have access to the entire exterior set, with photo opportunities available outside some of the Street’s most famous locations, including Roys Rolls, The Kabin, Underworld and, of course, The Rovers Return.

The Star Tours will run from 2pm – 5pm on the following dates:

• Sunday April 2 2023
• Saturday May 20 2023
• Sunday May 21 2023
• Saturday June 3 2023
• Sunday June 4 2023

Fans will also be able to explore the newest addition to the set: the Weatherfield Precinct.

Your 90-minute tour will be guided by a Corrie expert, who will be on hand to answer any questions. They may even throw in some trivia for you to use at your next pub quiz!

The relaunch of these special tours follows the announcement of the new Coronation Street Visitor Centre , which will serve as the entrance for the tours.

Inside, visitors will also find a cafe, ITV shop, a cinema, the Corrie exhibition floor and three conference rooms.

Tickets to the Star Tours are available for £45 for adults and £42.50 for children.  Tours can be booked here.

Recently ITV relocated their outdoor Coronation Street sets to MediaCityUK and expanded it to include Victoria Street. You can wander down the street's famous cobbles passing Roys Rolls, The Kabin and of course The Rovers Return. Take a look around interior sets that were not previously open to the public, enjoy footage of memorable scenes, see iconic props belonging to some of the most well known characters, and hear fascinating facts and stories from our studio guide.
