Tom Cruise and son Connor made a rare appearance together in New York City Saturday.

The “War of the Worlds” star and his 28-year-old son, whom he shares with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, stepped out in the big apple for a promotional event for Tom’s upcoming film “Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning.”

Tom wore a black button-up with blue jeans and black shoes. He completed the simple look with reflective aviator sunglasses and a silver wristwatch.

The “Top Gun: Maverick” star’s son also dressed casually for the event, wearing a gray collared shirt with blue jeans and sneakers.

The actor’s sister Lee Mapother also tagged along with the father-son duo.

Tom and Connor have made a handful of public appearances together in the past, including a 2021 Los Angeles Dodgers game in San Francisco, Calif.

Tom, 61, also shares daughter Isabella with Kidman, 56, whom he was married to from 1990 to 2001. They adopted Isabella and Connor in 1992 and 1995, respectively.

As for Tom’s son, the “Seven Pounds” star seems to lead a low-key life outside of the spotlight.

Connor appears to enjoy fishing and playing golf in Florida. He also avoids posting photos of his A-list parents on his social media.

Isabella, who goes by Bella, also stays relatively under the radar . She moved from Los Angeles to live with her husband, Max Parker, in London.

After Tom and Kidman divorced, the two kids chose to stay with their dad in Los Angeles while the “Big Little Lies” star resided in Australia.

In 2018, Kidman made a rare statement about her relationship with her children.

“I’m very private about all that. I have to protect all those relationships. I know 150 percent that I would give up my life for my children because it’s what my purpose is,” she told Australia’s Who magazine .

She also remarked on her children’s decision to pursue Scientology like their father. The actress left the church in the ’90s.

“They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them,” she said, adding that Connor and Isabella are “adults.”

“And I am an example of that tolerance and that’s what I believe – that no matter what your child does, the child has love and the child has to know there is available love and I’m open here.”

She added that she believes her “job as a parent” is to “always offer unconditional love.”

Meanwhile, Tom also shares daughter Suri, 17, with ex-wife Katie Holmes.

Holmes, 44, and the “Jerry Maguire” star tied the knot in 2006 before splitting up in 2012.

In March, sources told Page Six that Tom and Suri have been estranged for some time.

The insider said Tom had not seen his youngest daughter in a very long time and that he was not a part of her life .

After their high-profile split in 2011, Tom admitted in transcripts from his 2012 defamation lawsuit against Bauer Media that he had not seen Suri for three months after he and Holmes called it quits.

Tom Cruise Steps Out in London in Rare Appearance With Son Connor

Tom Cruise stepped out in London in a rare appearance with his adult son, Connor, whom he shares with ex-wife Nicole Kidman.

On Friday, June 28, the 61-year-old action star — who also shares daughter Isabella, 31, with Kidman; as well as daughter Suri, 18, with ex-wife Katie Holmes — spent time with his only son while boarding a helicopter in England's capital, according to photos obtained by People .

Per the outlet, Cruise, clad in his trademark aviators, smiled and waved to onlookers from the helipad, dressed in a tight white T-shirt. Connor, for his part, sported a black hoodie and a navy blue baseball cap that read, "Pelican Golf Club" as he followed behind his father. Like his dad, the 29-year-old also donned a pair of opaque sunglasses.

The outing was a strikingly rare appearance for the father-son duo, who made headlines when posing together, along with Bella, in a December 2023 group photo. The image was the first time the family publicly posed together in nearly 15 years.

Cruise's quality time with Connor comes just days after Suri dropped her dad's last name from her high school graduation pamphlet, choosing instead to go by Suri Noelle in the program. She also omitted his surname in her high school's production of Head Over Heels in May.

Kidman, for her part, has been in France for Paris Fashion Week, making headlines on June 26 — just two days before Connor's helicopter ride with Cruise — by stepping out with 15-year-old daughter Sunday Rose , whom she shares with husband Keith Urban. (Kidman and Urban are also parents to 13-year-old daughter Faith Margaret.) The mother-daughter duo turned heads at the Balenciaga Haute Couture show by looking nearly identical in matching black dresses and dark sunglasses.

Cruise and Kidman tied the knot in 1990 and adopted Bella two years later, followed by adopting Connor in 1995. After finalizing his divorce from Kidman in 2001, Cruise married Holmes in 2006, welcoming daughter Suri that same year. Cruise and Holmes divorced in 2012.

When it comes to Kidman's relationship with her two children with Cruise, she acknowledged that Bella and Connor have chosen to follow their dad's religion — Scientology — and she is there for them as their mom.

"They have made choices to be Scientologists and, as a mother, it's my job to love them," the Oscar winner told Who magazine in 2018.

As for Cruise's relationship with Suri , their bond was reportedly strained after the Top Gun actor's split from Holmes, due, in part, to Cruise's ties to Scientology.

Tom Cruise made a rare public appearance with his son Connor in New York on Saturday, and Cruise's older sister also tagged along for the outing. 

According to Entertainment Tonight's Jackie Willis , Cruise, Connor, and Cruise's sister Lee Mapother were photographed heading to an event at the AMC movie theater in Times Square on Saturday. The event was reportedly to promote Cruise's new film "Mission Impossible — Dead Reckoning." 

Photos obtained by Entertainment Tonight show Cruise in a black collared shirt, dark-wash jeans, and sunglasses, while Connor was seen in a gray polo, jeans, and sneakers. 

Cruise shares Connor, 28, with his ex-wife Nicole Kidman. The couple, who were married from 1990 to 2001 , also adopted 30-year-old Isabella.

Isabella and Connor have both kept a lower profile in recent years, but Connor and Cruise were spotted at a Los Angeles Dodgers game in 2013. 

Like their father, both Connor and Isabella are Scientologists , at least according to a 2018 interview Kidman did with Australian magazine Who. 

"They have made choices to be Scientologists, and, as a mother, it's my job to love them," Kidman said in the interview . "And I am an example of that tolerance and that's what I believe — that no matter what your child does, the child has love and the child has to know there is available love and I'm open here."

Connor Cruise had a day out with his dad! On Saturday, Tom Cruise and his 28-year-old son, whom he shares with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, were spotted out and about in New York City.

The father-son duo was seen walking to an AMC theater in Times Square for a promotion of Tom's upcoming film, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning . Also with them was the 61-year-old actor's older sister, 63-year-old Lee Mapother. 

Tom looked casual in a black button-down shirt, jeans and sunglasses that were giving Top Gun vibes. As for Connor, he sported a gray collared shirt, jeans, sneakers and a backpack.

Just a month or so prior to being spotted out with his dad, Connor shared a rare photo of himself on social media .

In the image, Connor poses in a blue checkered polo shirt, shades, and a hat while flashing a peace sign and hanging with two friends. The pic was taken at Belleair Country Club in Belleair, Florida, a city just a few miles away from Clearwater, Florida, where Connor has lived since 2019.

While public appearances from Connor  are few and far between , he has been photographed alongside his famous father on multiple occasions over the years, including an appearance at a 2021 Los Angeles Dodgers game in San Francisco.

In addition to Connor, Tom also shares 30-year-old daughter Isabella Cruise with Kidman, and 17-year-old Suri Cruise with ex-wife Katie Holmes.

Nicole kidman and tom cruise’s scientologist son connor shares rare photos of his very private life.

Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman ’s son Connor has shared a look into his private world. 

The 29-year-old posted two photos on his Instagram story on Saturday, Aug. 17. Connor has not posted anything on his account since 2023. 

The first of the two snaps showed Cruise and Kidman’s son standing on what appears to be an oceanfront road with the sun fading on the horizon. He and a friend have their arms around each other, and his pal is holding a French bulldog. Dressed in a black polo, light-colored shorts, gray sneakers and a baseball hat, Connor gives a thumbs-up. 

The friend appears to be Jack Vasilaros, who uses the Instagram handle @hookedforlife. He runs fishing charters out of Clearwater and Boca Grande, Florida. A Scientologist like his famous father, Connor lives in Clearwater, which is also home to Scientology HQ.

“Happy Birthday @hookedforlife,” Connor wrote in a caption over the first Instagram story. 

In his follow-up post, Connor shared another birthday message, writing, “Happy Birthday buddy!” over a photo of him and three male pals on a boat with a giant fish they seem to have caught.

Connor tagged @fountainofyouthfishing, who appears to be a man named Jeff Putney. According to his Instagram profile, he is an avid tournament fishing enthusiast. 

The former DJ has loved fishing for years, posting his oceanic exploits on social media as far back as 2014. His friendship with Vasilaros appears to go as far back to 2021, when the captain first appeared on Connor’s main Instagram feed. 

“We used to go fishing a lot when I was a little kid,” he said in an interview with People magazine in 2016. “I was blessed to travel the world as a young kid and now I’m traveling the world working.”

Connor has rarely been seen out in public since 2023. His last Instagram post from April 2023 showed him golfing at Pelican Golf Club in Florida.

As a result, he drew plenty of attention when he was spotted in London in June exiting a helicopter with his famous father and when he popped up in December in a photo shared on Instagram by former NFL player Derrick Brooks.

Connor was adopted by father Tom, 62, and mom Kidman, 57, not long after he was born in 1995. The couple — who divorced in 2001 — had previously adopted their daughter Isabella , 31.

Connor has three other half-siblings: Sunday, 16, and Faith, 13, whom Kidman has with husband Keith Urban, and Suri, 18, from Tom’s marriage to Katie Holmes, 45.

Tom Cruise took his son out to the ballgame.

The Hollywood star and son Connor, 26, went to the San Francisco Giants vs. Los Angeles Dodgers playoff game at Oracle Park in San Francisco on Saturday night.

The Cruises may have been a good luck charm for the visiting team, too, as the Dodgers won 9-2 to even their National League Division Series at one game apiece. The Giants then won Monday in Game 3, giving San Francisco a one-game lead.

Cruise shares Connor with ex-wife Nicole Kidman. They also have daughter Isabella, 28. Cruise has daughter Suri, 15, with ex-wife Katie Holmes.

People generally don’t see Connor too often — he last posted a picture on Instagram in April when he was out deep-sea fishing.

Tom and Connor were also spotted together in London in 2019, where movie star dad was showing his son “some aviation basics,” according to People .

Fans have also not seen much of his dad recently, either. His long-awaited “Top Gun: Maverick” has been pushed back from its original release date of June 2020 until May 2022.

While moviegoers will have to wait to see him in the film, co-star Jon Hamm said it will be a real treat.

“I loved it,” he said on TODAY in September 2020. “It’s everything you hope it’s going to be. It’s everything I hoped it is going to be, and Tom obviously is perfect in it and amazing.”

"Happy birthday," he wrote in the photo.

The following photo shows him on a boat with friends on his fishing trips. Connor and the rest are happily holding an enormous fish. The trip might be related to the same birthday celebration, as he wrote "Happy birthday buddy!!" over the photo, referring to his friend.

Connor was adopted by Tom and Nicole in 1995, the same year he was born. The pair also adopted their daughter, Isabella Jane . Connor and Isabella are the eldest siblings of Kidman's teenage daughters, Sunday and Faith , whom she shares with her husband, Keith Urban . Connor and Isabella are also half-siblings to Tom's daughter, Suri , who he shares with his ex-wife, Katie Holmes .

While little is known about Connor after he debuted his career in acting and worked alongside  Will Smith  in Seven Pounds , starred in  Red Dawn , and released music in 2013, he seems to be focusing on fishing, an activity he has practiced since he was a child. "We used to go fishing a lot when I was a little kid," he told PEOPLE . I was blessed to travel the world as a young kid, and now I'm traveling the world working."

Unlike Suri, Tom has been captured multiple times, hanging out with Connor and Isabella. Tom and Connor seem to be pretty close. In 2023, Connor accompanied his dad during the Louis Vuitton Cup Round Robin 5 race against Team Luna Rossa Challenge in San Francisco, California.

Tom and Suri have been the center of rumors of a complicated relationship following his high-profile divorce from Holmes in 2012. Suri, who recently turned 18 and is going to college very soon , decided to show her love and appreciation for her mom with a special homage. Suri now uses her mom's middle name, Noelle, as her surname instead of Cruise. As reported by Page Six , a source revealed that Suri "is showing praise for her mother by using her middle name,” adding that one of the reasons for the change is that she “wants her own identity.”

The insider said that she is also prepared for her new life chapter in college and wants to "start fresh." The name change is also a way to "avoid the paparazzi." Suri recently used the new name at her high school graduation ceremony, but this was not the first time, as her name also appeared as Suri Noelle during her high school performance of "The Addams Family: A New Musical" in December.

Page Six also confirmed that Cruise has an estranged relationship with his daughter and wants "no part" in her life. The actor was seen at Taylor Swift 's "Eras Tour" in London while Katie and Suri celebrated her graduation in NYC.

Keeping it in the family!  Tom Cruise 's rarely seen son Connor appears to be taking after his father as the 29 year-old was quick to shake hands with the staff when they arrived in London.

The pair arrived at Battersea Power Station's heliport on Friday June 28 with several friends, and they were snapped leaving the helicopter, which Tom appeared to have flown himself. Connor greeted the Heliport staff with a firm handshake, similar to the one Tom is seen giving friends and new people he meets. 

As they made their way to waiting cars, Tom was happy to pose for selfies with fans who spotted the A-lister. 

Tom and ex-wife Nicole Kidman adopted their son  in the mid 1990s and he now lives in Florida, owning the barbecuing business Connor's Meat Shack. Connor is also a scientologist, and it is thought he rarely sees his mother. 

However Nicole has dismissed rumors that her children were estranged from her, explaining: "Motherhood is about the journey. There are going to be incredible peaks and valleys, whether you are an adopting mother or a birth mother. What a child needs is love." 

She added: "They have made choices to be Scientologists. It’s our job as a parent to always offer unconditional love." 

Scientology does not demand followers disconnect from those who do not follow the religion. It does state that "a Scientologist can have trouble making spiritual progress in his auditing or training if he is connected to someone who is suppressive or who is antagonistic to Scientology or its tenets".

Tom is also dad to daughter Bella, 31, whose mom is also Nicole, and who lives in Croydon, England, south of London, and 1 8-year-old Suri with ex-wife Katie Holmes . It is thought Tom is estranged from his youngest. 

With Tom jetting around the globe, the family rarely get to see each other but recently a rare picture of Tom, Connor and Bella  was posted online by former NFL star Derrick Brooks, which revealed the Top Gun star had enjoyed a night out of hockey with his kids. 

"Good Evening, Wow, look who stopped by my office before our [Tampa Bay Lightning] game tonight! @tomcruise. I was a little star struck but played it cool and He said he was too!" Derrick shared in December 2023.

Nicole Kidman And Tom Cruise's Son Connor Is All Grown Up Now

In the early 1990s, when Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise were married and two of the biggest young stars in Hollywood, they adopted two children together. A daughter named Isabella Cruise came first, and a son called Connor Cruise followed a few years later. In 1995, the "Birth" star spoke to  Vanity Fair about her journey to motherhood. "It's fate, completely. The adoption was a very spontaneous thing; we decided to adopt [Isabella] because the situation came up," she said. "I just believe, for whatever reason, that these children were meant to be in our family."

Things have soured in the decades since. Kidman and Cruise went through a highly publicized divorce , and their high-profile careers took them to different parts of the world right as their children were growing up. As a result, the kids' relationships with their parents have differed over the years.

What's more, the Cruise kids are not children anymore. Though Connor Cruise has been a part of the famous family since he was mere months old, he's now all grown up, living his own life separate from the entertainment industry world of his parents. Connor Cruise played a young Will Smith as a teenager

In 2008, as a teenager, Connor Cruise followed in his parents' footsteps and dabbled in acting. He played the younger version of Will Smith's character in the film "Seven Pounds," appearing in flashbacks. Despite having two incredibly famous and commercially successful parents, Connor had to read for the part. Tom Cruise even accompanied his son to the audition, but director Gabriele Muccino wouldn't let him in the room. "Will [Smith] and I were like, 'How's he doing?' And the director just said, 'Out!'" Tom told the  Associated Press . "So we were standing in the hall for about half an hour or something, wondering, 'What's going on in there? What's happening?'" Ultimately, Connor got the part.

Even though the role was relatively small, Smith was excited to have his friend's son in the film. While speaking with  reporters  at a premiere, he gave his young co-star a glowing review. "Connor was really professional, not nervous at all," he said, joking that Connor might have a future in the family business, should he want it. "He's got a couple good role models in his life, so I think he might be able to put something together," Smith grinned.

Speaking with the Associated Press, however, the "Mission: Impossible" star wasn't sure his son would stick with it. Noting that Connor has grown up on film sets, Tom wondered, "Who knows what he's going to do?" 

He tried his hand at being a DJ

Connor Cruise followed his role in "Seven Pounds" with a part in 2012's "Red Dawn" remake, but then he shifted gears. By 2013, five years after he first dipped his toe in the entertainment industry, Cruise seemed to have hit on a different career path than his parents. That year, TMZ reported that Tom Cruise visited Hyde Sunset in Hollywood, a club where his son had a residency as a DJ. "Our spies say Tom only drank sparkling water all night and was in a great mood the whole time, being super courteous to the staff and everyone around him," the outlet reported.

Connor kept up the DJ career for several years, spinning in Atlantic City, too. In 2016, he even gave a rare interview. in support of a DJ set at Atlantic City venue The Pool After Dark, revealing that his burgeoning career as a DJ had taken him around the world. "I've done a lot of stuff in South America and Latin America. I love going down there a lot," he told GoToWhitney . "But really, just touring around the world is fun. I enjoy traveling." 

He uses his love of fishing for good

Connor Cruise's DJ career quieted down after those first few years of success and travel, and he seems to have concentrated on outdoor activities like fishing instead. In 2016, Radar Online reported that Cruise was working as a professional fisherman down in Florida, going out on early-morning expeditions that paid him $850 for six hours of work. "Connor's done some growing up these past few months and decided he doesn't want to live his life spending his dad's money," a source told the outlet, insisting that Cruise was now supporting himself. "He loves being out on the water," the source said, "so this is really a dream job for him."

Cruise still posts regularly about his fishing exploits on his Instagram , including in 2022, when he revealed that he'd been working with an organization that donates fish to people in need. Cruise personally donated 300 pounds of Warsaw grouper to the organization, and he wrote in an Instagram caption, "glad the fish was able to go and help those in need of it!!" 

It seems that Nicole Kidman was happy to hear about her son's career change. "Nicole hated that Connor was a club DJ. All she ever wanted for him was a normal, happy upbringing," the insider told Radar Online. "It now looks like he's finally found his way."

He reportedly lives in a Scientology community in Florida

Now that Connor Cruise isn't interested in a career in the entertainment industry himself, he seems to be living a quiet life in Florida. According to sources who spoke with People , he lives in Clearwater, a town known for its ties to the Church of Scientology. "Connor has a pretty simple life in Clearwater. He lives in his own home in a Scientology community," the source said. "His life is deep-sea fishing. He has a lot of friends and seems very well-liked." Scientology is, of course, the highly-controversial religion that counts Tom Cruise as one of its most prominent followers.

On Instagram, Connor shows off his Florida life sporadically. In 2023, he posted a photo of himself on a golf course, captioned simply with two golf emojis. In addition to various photos posing with various fish, the "Red Dawn" star is often pictured grilling various meats. In 2020, alongside one video , he wrote, "Let it burn."

People noted that Tom Cruise also relocated to Clearwater. In 2018, he sold his Los Angeles home and renovated a penthouse in Florida instead. "When Tom is here, he's surrounded by people, but he really seems very happy," one source said, noting that they've seen the "Eyes Wide Shut" star out and about with various Scientology officials. "He'll wave and smile," the source said, "but he doesn't really engage in conversation."

Connor Cruise and Tom Cruise have stayed close

Even though he is all grown up now, it seems that Connor Cruise and his father, Tom Cruise , are still very close. In fact, while the "War of the Worlds" star hasn't been pictured with daughters Suri Cruise and Isabella Cruise in quite a while, Tom and Connor still hang out in full view of cameras every so often. 

In June 2024, for example, Tom attended Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in London right around the time that Suri, the daughter he shares with ex-wife Katie Holmes , graduated from high school. (It's far from the only milestone in Suri's life that Tom has missed .) Days later, he and Connor took a helicopter flight around the city. As  E! News  noted, Connor was photographed during the excursion wearing a Pelican Golf Club baseball cap — the same club where he posted an Instagram photo enjoying his time on the links.

Sources who spoke with People said the pair's commitment to Scientology is what has allowed the father-son duo to remain close. In fact, they were spotted on a helicopter ride around London back in 2019, too. "Tom and Connor stepping out together in London was a big deal. It was the same weekend that Scientology does their annual gathering called the International Association of Scientologists," a source told the outlet. "Tom has attended numerous times in the past, but this appears to be the first time Connor has gone."

Connor Cruise's relationship with Nicole Kidman seems strained

While Connor Cruise still seems to be close with his father, the same doesn't appear to be true about his relationship with his mom, Oscar winner Nicole Kidman. After the "Moulin Rouge" star divorced Tom, Connor chose to go live with his father instead. Kidman went on to remarry Keith Urban , and the two would welcome two daughters. In a 2008 interview with  Glamour , Kidman shared that she tried to visit Connor and Isabella Cruise as much as she could. "My children are a huge part of my life, so we spend time in L.A. for the kids, but I don't have any kinds of roots there," she said.

However, even then, their relationship seemed rocky. "My kids don't call me mommy, they don't even call me mom," she told GMTV in 2007 (via Hello! ). "They call me Nicole, which I hate and tell them off for it."

Scientology, it seems, may be part of the reason why they're no longer as close as they once were. In 2019, Kidman spoke with The Sun about her strained relationship with her adopted children. "Motherhood is about the journey. There are going to be incredible peaks and valleys, whether you are an adopting mother or a birth mother. What a child needs is love," she said, before diving into the meat of the issue. "They have made choices to be Scientologists," Kidman added. "It's our job as a parent to always offer unconditional love."

The Mission: Impossible star and Connor Cruise touched down at a heliport in London on June 28.

For their father-son outing, Tom donned a gray T-shirt, blue jeans and a pair of his signature aviator sunglasses. Meanwhile, his 29-year-old—who he and ex Nicole Kidman share along with daughter Isabella Cruise , 31—also kept things casual in a black hoodie, slate-colored joggers and a matching baseball cap that read "Pelican Golf Club."

The sighting comes just days after Tom hit up Taylor Swift 's Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium. On June 22, the Top Gun actor was seen dancing with a slew of celeb guests —including Liam Hemsworth , Mila Kunis , Ashton Kutcher , Greta Gerwig and Taylor's boyfriend Travis Kelce —inside the VIP tent at the sold-out show.

That same week, Tom and Katie Holmes ' 18-year-old daughter Suri Cruise graduated from high school in New York City.

Though Tom was not seen at the graduation ceremony, his ex-wife Katie was there to commemorate their child's academic milestone.

And in recent years, Katie—who divorced Tom in 2012 —has been adamant on keeping Suri out of the spotlight after she was "so visible at a young age."

"I really like to protect her," the Dawson's Creek  alum told Glamour  last year . "I'm very grateful to be a parent, to be her parent. She's an incredible person."

Though Suri did lend her vocals to the films Alone Together and Rare Objects , the 45-year-old noted that "both of those experiences came out of the same sense of what I love about our industry, which is, you have these projects and you become a family with people."

"It was very meaningful to me to have her there," Katie added, "because she's my heart."

Marriage to Nicole Kidman

Tom Cruise was in the process of divorcing first wife Mimi Rogers   when he met Nicole Kidman   making the racing movie  Days of Thunder  in early 1990. He proposed to the Australian actress once he was officially single and they tied the knot that year on Christmas Eve.

"It was that special connection when you recognize your soul mate," Tom told Vanity Fair   in 1994. "She is a person who understands. It was as if a whole new life had started for me."

They announced their divorce in February 2001 with a press release citing the "difficulties inherent of diverging careers which constantly keep them apart." Though it's unclear if Nicole agreed with that rationale.

"I'm starting to understand now [why we broke up]," she told  Vanity Fair  toward the end of 2002. "At the time I didn't."

Her ex, meanwhile, had told the publication earlier that year, "She knows why, and I know why. She's the mother of my children, and I wish her well. And I think that you just move on. And I don't say that lightly. I don't say that with anything."

Isabella Cruise

Tom and Nicole adopted their eldest child, Isabella , when she was born on Dec. 22, 1992.

Admittedly "scared to death" the first time he changed a diaper, Tom told  VF  in 1994 that he and Nicole "talked about children from time to time, but there was always the work. But then we went, When is it ever going to be the right time? That's how the conversation started. You're lying in bed at night and you're trying to sleep, so you roll over and you go, What would happen if we had this in our life?... One of the things that Nic and I talk about is that now suddenly we're a family ."

Nicole said they definitely planned on having more kids, whether by birth or adoption, preferably both.

"Isabella was meant for us," she told the magazine. "I think when things come into your life at a certain time you have to take them. It's destiny."

She later revealed to  VF  in 2007 that they decided to adopt after she lost a pregnancy. "From the minute Tom and I were married, I wanted to have babies," she said. "And we lost a baby early on, so that was really very traumatic. And that's when we would adopt Bella." 

"There's a complicated background to that," she added, "given that I never speak much about many things. One day maybe that story will be told."

Isabella, an artist and graduate of London's Delamar Academy of Make-Up and Hair, lives in England with husband  Max Parker . 

It raised a few eyebrows when the bride's parents didn't attend the couple's 2015 wedding at the Dorchester hotel in London.

"Of course, they're my parents," she fired back at Daily Mail Online when the newlywed was asked if she spoke to Tom and Nicole. "Anyone who says otherwise is full of s--t."

Moreover, only a few close friends attended and the groom's parents weren't there, either, his mom Beverly Parker telling the Mail they stayed away to avoid "a media circus." Calling the pair "lovely," she said, "I'm very pleased for them both and they're very happy."

Max told the publication that "you could say" his wife had foregone the spotlight, but it was "more of a weird situation for everyone else" than it was for them. 

Meanwhile, sources told  People that Tom approved of Max, was OK with not being there and he paid for the wedding, while Nicole was just glad her daughter seemed happy.

Connor rounded out the family when he was adopted at birth on Jan. 17, 1995. He's a musician and DJ, and reportedly lives in Miami.

Nicole married Keith Urban  in 2006 and they share daughters Sunday Rose , born July 7, 2008, and Faith Margaret , born via gestational surrogate Dec. 28, 2010.

Reflecting on how Connor and Isabella chose to live with their dad after the divorce, she told HELLO! , "I'd love them to live with us, but what can you do?" (They did attend the Kidman-Urban nuptials in Australia.)

Talking to Now to Love in 2014, Nicole called Isabella and Connor "generous, kind and hardworking," all "traits that I love to see in my children."

Several years later she acknowledged that both of her older kids were practicing Scientologists, like their father, but—contrary to rumors that religion had driven a wedge between them—that was neither here nor there.

"They are adults," the Oscar winner told Australia's  Who   in 2018. "They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it's my job to love them."

And, like his sister, Connor has never said a cross word about his mom.

"I love my mum," he told Australia's Woman's Day  in 2014 while in town to deejay at a festival. "I don't care what people say, I know that me and mum are solid. I love her a lot. My family means everything."

Tom was in a sharing mood when he started dating the  Dawson's Creek  alum in 2005, boisterously telling Oprah Winfrey   and her sofa that he was in love with the actress.

The  October 2006 cover of  Vanity Fair , first revealed on the CBS Evening News  Sept. 5, introduced Suri to the world. The portrait by Annie Leibovitz featured the 3-month-old tucked into her dad's leather aviator jacket, an homage to Linda McCartney 's famous shot of  Paul McCartney with their baby daughter Mary  from his 1970 album  McCartney .

"She's a glorious girl," Katie told the magazine. "She's the miracle of our life."

Tom shared that they found the name in a baby book sent to them by friends and just loved it. "We later found out that it meant 'red rose,' and that was just a bonus," he added. "Suri—it was perfect."

The article noted that the family, including Conor and Bella, were all gathered cozily at Tom's house in Telluride (which he sold in 2021 for $39.5 million).

"It's really special to see them holding their little sister," Katie said. "To hear them talk about all of the fun things they are going to do together." Added Tom, "It's very moving to me too. I look at those moments of watching Bella and Connor grow up and you get a sense of what kind of people they are going to be as adults."

Katie filed for divorce in June 2012, her attorney saying in a statement her "primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."

Tom's rep told E! News that he "is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children."

The proceedings were settled relatively quickly , with both sides agreeing on Suri living primarily with her mom  while her dad got generous visitation rights. Katie started splitting time between New York and L.A. and resettled Suri on the East Coast for school. 

The  Batman Begins  actress set about giving her kid the most normal life possible, ferrying her to school and gymnastics like any other Manhattan mom. While the paparazzi never stopped clicking away, Katie shared only a handful of glimpses of Suri on social media over the years. But they also were seen at sporting events and have made many a pilgrimage to Broadway  to catch a show.

"My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now," she told Town & Country  in 2017 . "It's very important that I'm present and she has a stable, innocent childhood. I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there's nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed."

At the same time, she said, "Every day, kids get a little further away from you. That's a positive thing. They should be becoming more independent, but it's heartbreaking."

Suri may not have caught the acting bug yet, but she did sing the cover of "Blue Moon" that opens Alone Together , the rom-com her mom was inspired to write during the pandemic and then also starred in and directed. Suri also provided a vocal for her movie  Rare Objects .

"I hope she always does something on my films," Katie told Glamour  in March 2023. "I always ask her. But both of those experiences came out of the same sense of what I love about our industry, which is, you have these projects and you become a family with people. And it's this safe, beautiful, creative space."

With Suri about to turn 17 at the time, she noted, "What has been really important for me with my daughter, because she was so visible at a young age, is I really like to protect her. I'm very grateful to be a parent, to be her parent. She's an incredible person."

For the remainder of their marriage, Cruise and Kidman's children lived relatively private lives , and they stayed out of the spotlight as much as possible even when Cruise and Kidman split in 2001.

The custody arrangement between Cruise and Kidman was never very clear to the public, but there were rumors of tension between Kidman and her adopted son. By contrast, Connor and Cruise have often been spotted in public together, apparently happy and sharing some common interests.

Connor has dabbled in acting and has also made a name for himself as a DJ. These days, however, he seems to be keeping to himself, and pursuing his love of fishing all around the Caribbean. Here is a look at what fans know about Connor Cruise.

Cloistered Rumors

A report by The New York Post in 2006 claimed that Connor and Isabella Cruise grew up in their parents' home in Manhattan, while a report by Hollywood Life claims that Connor grew up in Los Angeles, California. HL also reports that Connor was homeschooled and that he "didn't set foot outside his father's mansion until he was 10." This last claim is unsubstantiated.

'Seven Pounds'

Connor's first big step into the public eye came in 2008, when he appeared in the movie Seven Pounds . He was 13 years old at the time of filming, and played a younger version of Will Smith 's character Ben. Connor co-starred with Rosario Dawson and Woody Harrelson on the movie as well.

Connor's second and only other film role was in Red Dawn in 2012. He played Daryl Jenkins, co-starring with Chris Hemsworth, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Josh Peck, Josh Hutcherson, Adrianne Palicki and Isabel Lucas, among others. Since then Connor has been out of the movie industry, though it is not clear if that is by choice.

Relationship With Kidman

According to Hollywood Life, Kidman told reporters in 2007 that she had a "strained" relationship with Connor. This claim does not appear anywhere else, though in 2018 Kidman did explain why she is generally private about her relationship with her two older children. According to Hello! Magazine , she told the Hollywood Foreign Press Association: "I'm very private about all that," hinting that it had to do with her children's choice to practice Scientology like their father.

"I have to protect all those relationships. I know 150 percent that I would give up my life for my children because it's what my purpose is," Kidman said. "They are adults. They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it's my job to love them. I am an example of that tolerance and that's what I believe – that no matter what your child does, the child has love and the child has to know there is available love and I'm open here."

According to Hollywood Life , Connor has refuted rumors of tension between himself and Kidman, and has said that they are on good terms.

Scientology

As noted above, Connor is a lifelong practitioner of Scientology, having been introduced to the faith by his father at birth. In 2019, sources close to Connor confirmed his church involvement to reporters from PEOPLE , saying: "Connor and Isabella grew up in the church of Scientology, they've been members since they were kids."

The insider said that Connor and Isabella "are completely dedicated scientologists just like Tom," adding: "Connor has been able to remain close with Tom because of Scientology.... Connor lives in Clearwater, [Florida,] which is the church's main hub. He still deejays but he has really become a big fishing guy. He's content with living a quieter life." The source even said that Connor "is in a relationship with a fell Scientologist who also grew up in the religion."

"He lives in his own home in a Scientology community. His life is deep-sea fishing. He has a lot of friends and seems very well-liked," they concluded.

Connor and Tom Cruise have made some public appearances together in recent years — attending sporting events and sometimes movie premieres side by side. The insider told PEOPLE that even these sightings are related to Scientology in some ways. They said: "Tom and Connor stepping out together in London was a big deal. It was the same weekend that Scientology does their annual gathering called the International Association of Scientologists (ASI). Tom has attended numerous times in the past, but this appears to be the first time Connor has gone."

Finally, these days most fans get their fill of Connor Cruise on Instagram , where he does most of his interacting with the public. His posts have skewed more and more towards deep-sea fishing in recent years, with occasional commentary on sports, selfies with other celebrities and promotions for DJ appearances. Connor made headlines last month with a photo of himself holding a 200-pound yellowfin on deck.

The son of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman shared a rare picture to Instagram on Saturday, as he celebrated a fun day at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.

In the photo , Cruise, 28, can be seen giving a thumbs up to the camera as he wears an outfit perfect for the course: a blue striped polo, a pair of sneakers, one glove, a pair of shades and a baseball hat to block out the sun.

"🏌️‍♂️⛳️," Cruise captioned the image.

The outing post was rare for the son of Hollywood royalty, as the avid fisherman last shared an image of himself and some fishing buddies back in the summer of 2022.

Aside from being spotted this year at Milan Fashion Week, where he wore an acid-wash denim fit to the Diesel Fashion Show in February, Cruise isn't often photographed in public.

In 2021, he and his father were seen out a few times together — specifically at a Los Angeles Dodgers game in October , where the pair attended Game 2 of the National League Division Series in San Francisco as the team faced off against the San Francisco Giants.

Tom was photographed sitting next to Connor in the stands, as he paused to take photos with fans while watching the game and kept warm in a navy jacket. Connor wore a black-and-white baseball hat and a black hoodie at the time.

Before that, the pair was photographed together in October 2019 in London. At the time, Tom and Connor were seen walking to a private helicopter.

Cruise's son has dabbled in both acting and DJing, but spends much of his time deep-sea fishing, participating in sports and barbecuing, per his Instagram .

He even runs an entirely separate Instagram page for Connor's Meatshack — where he posts images of his latest self-made meals, occasionally with a nice slow-motion clip.

"Connor has a pretty simple life in Clearwater," a source told PEOPLE in 2018. "He lives in his own home in a Scientology community. His life is deep-sea fishing. He has a lot of friends and seems very well-liked."
