She is extremely professional, friendly and very caring. She made sure we had a wonderful time and drove us to a few places to shop at a much lower prices than the tourists area. We had such a wonderful time we her that I ended up cancelling my trip to the airport and had her come pick us up instead. If you decide to go to Cancun, please reach out to Ileana, she is THE BEST! I will highly recommend. Read more Written May 5, 2024
  • Joshua B 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Best instructors I have dived with Whole team at Marona made the day super easy. Equipment was all ready and dealt with by the team. Couldn’t recommend more. Dive instructors were brilliant so helpful and knowledgeable. Really made us feel welcome and safe. Also the captain of the boat was clearly experienced as it was a slightly windy/wavey day. Absolutely brilliant value for money. Clearly a team passionate about scuba diving. • barrycG17WL 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Coba Mayan Ruins Tour We booked and paid for the Coba Maya Ruins Tour with lunch and Cenote Swim at our local TUI store in the U.K. This was due to take place on 28th March 2024. The day before the trip we were advised by the TUI rep in our Hotel Riu Palace Costa Mujeres that our trip was cancelled due to not enough people having booked. We were suspicious as this appeared to be an excellent excursion. We rebooked for the only available day, the day before our departure from Mexico. The departure time from our hotel for the trip was 4.50 a.m. The ticket said the trip duration was 8 hours. We were surprised to be picked up by large coach, typical for the airport run, rather than a minibus that we had for another trip. The reason for the large coach soon came to light as on arrival in the Playa del Carmen area we made eight stops at different hotels, which took ages as each hotel is situated in a complex off the main road and behind a security check in. It took 6 hours to reach our destination. Our tour guide was excellent, but we were dreading the journey back as we had not expected just the transportation to take 10 hours. We arrived back at our hotel around 7.30 p.m. - a total of 14 and a half hours, not 8 as on the ticket. Had we known that getting to the excursion and return would take 10 hours, we would not have gone on this trip the day before our 10 hour return flight to the U.K. We complained to the TUI rep in our hotel, who had rebooked our trip, that we had not been informed of the extended duration. We questioned why we were the only pick up from our area and the other people were from the Playa del Carmen and Tulum area. It was ridiculous to include people from the Costa Mujeres area on a trip that was designed for collection for people located nearer Tulum. We wanted to warn other people about this trip. • LaShay J 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles The best horseback riding tour ever This was by far the best horseback riding tour I have ever taken in all of the countries islands any place that I have traveled. I have never had such an amazing experience. The horses are well taken care of the first person I met was one of the managers who was also the vet. The horses are rescues, but look healthy and happy there were also donkeys and goats and pigs and dogs and very well loved. Everything was clean they sanitize the helmets. I’ve never seen that before they gave us hair nuts to wear under the helmets for extra cleanliness. The restrooms were clean. The guides spoke. English were so polite well mannered well dressed. They genuinely cared about the animals. They didn’t try and oversell anything and even the pictures were very reasonably priced. Our guide Fabian was amazing. There were only three people who took the tour and there were four guides one between each one of us for our safety and for the safety of the horses. Orlando was the photographer he went along. He did a great job again, very friendly and professional.I wish you could score 100 because I would give this 100+ highly recommend you don’t want to miss this. Read more Written April 16, 2024

The trip to the jewelry store was okay but they pressure you into buying. The tequila tasting was good , great flavours and we did purchase some to take home. Was not overly impressed with 5th ave , all the same stores and pushy salespeople. We had about 2 hours there to shop , very touristy but we did enjoy a cold drink and nachos. • JoanneHodgin 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles Good, but could be better A long but rewarding day. We were collected from our hotel early and after collecting other passengers along the way; we headed to the Myan village & cenote. After introduction and blessing from the shamen we had time to change, shower and swim in the cenote before lunch. The cenote was so beautiful. Life jackets are mandatory & an additional cost. We also chose to hire a locker. The buffet lunch was varied and tasty. Back on the coach we then had a very brief stop in Valladolid (20 mins). Valladolid is exactly how I imagined a "typical" old town Mexico would be. We then arrived at Chichen Itza. It was very busy and a little chaotic in the ticket hall. After a little delay we entered the park and headed towards the ruins. The guide gave us information in both Spanish and English. Although informative it was a little hard to take it in and took twice as long due to having to go through both languages. This meant we had very little free time in Chichen Itza and felt rushed. Chichen Itza is meant to be the highlight of the trip so more time should be allotted to really absorb the site. We had a good day but if we were to go again we would search out a smaller group and possibly an English only guide. Read more Written November 27, 2023

  • healthypetsm 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles Great staff, boring ride The staff was amazing. Fabian was our tour guy and Paula was helping him and they were both very friendly and informative about the jungle and the horses and ancient folklore. Plus they both spoke great English and Fabian learned our names quickly. The cowboy assistants helping them were also very nice and helped us mount and dismount the horses. However, this is just a 90 minute trail ride where you're riding nose to butt with the horses in a single line There is no trotting or galloping so if you're looking for something that's just slow walk or you've never been on a horse before, this is fine but if you're looking for something more exciting this might not be it. I personally did not get in the Cenote afterwards because it was a bit cold for me and the air wasn't that hot but most of the group got in and seemed to enjoy it. Read more Written October 19, 2023

  • Inspire46485423712 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Not worth the price… take the ferry! We decided to take the catamaran to isla mujeres because it left very close to our resort. Once we were on the boat they said you couldn’t wear/ use sunscreen. They also didn’t offer bottled water. While on the boat they advised everyone against snorkelling. They said it was an 8KM snorkelling excursion. We were not told this upon booking. We thought it was a leisurely beginner snorkelling excursion. Since most people voted against going we didn’t go. We instead just swam at the beach by the island. Which you could do without taking this trip/ paying the price. It took about 30 minutes to dock the boat. My partner and I both go a sunburn during this time. As there was little to no shade on the boat. After docking we had 90 minutes at a buffet on the island. The food was pretty bad and most drinks were an up sell. There wasn’t much to do on the island, unless you wanted to rent a golf cart. Be careful as people on the island pretend to know you from your resort to try to sell you things. Would have been nice for the tour guide to warn us about this like this. Overall I’d say this isn’t a full day excursion. It’s much better just to take the ferry. The ferry is faster. They have clean washrooms, more comfortable seating, shade and it’s more economical. Also the ferry is less crowded. Read more Written January 12, 2024

  • dinop885 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Cenotes and Ruins Were Great, Other Aspects Not So Much. Here are the negatives: van was 45 minutes late, van was small and cramped. We were seated at the back of the van and were generally uncomfortable. Our first stop was an art installation, which was cool, but completely unnecessary. It was just an Instagram photo op. Finally, lunch and dinner were included, but not good, and “dinner” was served at 2:30. The positives: the ruins at Tulum were beautiful and interesting. The Casa Tortuga cenotes were amazing. Your guide helped you through each cenote, there were lifeguards and paramedics on site. You can jump off a high platform into the two open cenotes, which my family loved. Both tour guides were wonderful and spoke English well and the coconut ice cream at Andrea’s was exceptional. Read more Written June 22, 2023
  • samanthar0land 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Lo mejor de Tulum! Our guide, Jenner, was awesome! I was travelling alone so he offered to take my pictures at the Tulum sign. All of them came out really nice! He was very patient with making sure we were fully ready to get back on the bus for the next adventure and offered to allow us to charge our phones. I love that we stopped at Playa Paraiso because although I stayed in Tulum, I wouldn't have visited on my own. My only critic is that there are nicer and closer Cenotes to Tulum we couldn't went. But since, you have to drive down to Tulum from Coba (where the Cenotes were) to go back up to Cancun, it all worked out. I met amazing people and I definitely had fun! The breakfast lunchbox was a nice added touch that is not often included in tours! The itinerary was well built, it definitely made me want to return to Laguna Kaan Loom in the future! No fins for the swim which was them dropping you off and you swimming back to the boat. Only do it if your a really strong swimmer. The stops were fine, Isla Mujeres seems to just be a tourist trap, unless you had time to actually get to some ruins. Which you don’t on this excursion. The staff made the day! ☀️ Biodegradable Sunscreen : Don’t forget to add biodegradable sunscreen to your Mexico packing list !
