It was hot when we were there, but they always provide coconut juice to cooling us down wherever we arrived. Some locals may have whole families working for coconuts.

We visited the houses of the locals and took a boat. The river was quiet and comfortable.

The food at the B&B was delicious and the host was very friendly.

My three friends and I recently went on a long tour and we were highly satisfied with how the tour was handled. There were no glitches or problems throughout the entire trip. Upon arriving at each destination, our guide and driver were already waiting for us outside the arrival area. The hotel choices were excellent and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast every morning. The guides were helpful and knowledgeable about the places we visited. Additionally, most of our lunches were included, allowing us to savor the cuisine of each country. We would like to express our gratitude to Eliese for organizing and facilitating the itinerary for each country we visited. We wholeheartedly recommend "Autour Asia" to our friends!

Moreover, Ms. Oanh recommended that we visit the remarkable government cruise boat in Da Nang, known as the Dragon Cruise (or something similar), which was docked along the river, opposite the Cham Museum, on Sunday. We had the opportunity to enjoy a delightful dinner on the cruise and witness the mesmerizing fire and water show on the Dragon Bridge. It was an absolutely fantastic experience. Once again, thank you for everything.

If you have a specific interest be it art, history, cooking or whatever we will do our utmost to design your tour to include (or be totally about) whatever you like. We have arranged for all types of people to do all sorts of interesting things and meet interesting people.

We have taken war veterans to old battle sites, pilgrims to pagodas, students to visit schools and forestry experts to the forest. Organised visits to artists’ private studios and visits to charity organisations to give donations. Whatever red tape or permission is required, whatever introductions are sought, we will take care of everything so that you can enjoy a rich and fulfilling experience.

Bridge, photography, traditional music, war history, ancient history, architecture, textiles, motorcycling, cycling, trekking, shopping, ceramics, kayaking. Vespa/Jeep tour, spiritual tour, modern or traditional shows, arts,fashion, cooking class, street food, homestay, home host dinner, special event (honeymoon, anniversary, birthday…), incentif, seminar.

Visa on arrival

Visitors to Vietnam must obtain a visa unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries. Be aware that your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond the last day of your stay in Vietnam and that you must have one blank page left for the visa stamp.

Tonkin Travel can help you to arrange “visa approval” which is required to obtain the visa upon arrival.

Transportation

Whether it is an airport pick-up or transfer to any location in Vietnam and no matter if you travel as an individual or in a big group, we can arrange all types of transport to and/or from anywhere in Vietnam. Car, van and bus rental ranging from 4 to 45 seats always includes a driver and modern high quality vehicles.

Accommodation

We can book rooms for you at any hotels of your choice or you can give us a few details on where, when, how much you’d like to spend and your other interests and we will recommend several good hotels in your range. You can take a look at their websites and see what you like, compare prices and then get back to us with your choice

Reservation

Once our sales staff and you go through itinerary, we will send you the information form to fill in passport details for ticketing, hotel reservation. We will get back to you in the next few days to confirm all your bookings as request.

Deposit payment:

– Flights, visa approval letters: full payment required before ticket’s issue.

– Other service: 30% of total amount.

Balance payment: required at least 10 days prior travel date by bank transfer or by cash or credit card on arrival.

Payment methods:

– By bank transfer: all charges are on sender’s account (OUR)

– By credit card: a convenient fee surcharge of 3% is applied for Visa/Master cards and 4% for AMEX cards

– Cash (US dollars. Other currencies may be accepted by prior arrangement)

Hotel Check in and Check out

Hotel Check in time: 14.00; Check out time is usually 12h00. Extended check in – check out time may be granted subject to availability and agreement by the participating hotels.

Responsibility

Except in situations beyond human control, Tonkin Travel will be held responsible for any additional expense resulting from the change caused by us in itinerary, transportation, accommodation.

Except in situations beyond human control, Tonkin Travel shall provide compensatory service for participants or refund the difference in payment for service rendered below standard.

The detailed program and schedule flights are subject to changes by airline without prior notice and in accordance with the weather conditions and daily operation of flights. Consequently, itinerary concerned might be adjusted. If this occurs, Tonkin Travel will do all in its power to assist participants in boarding flights or finding alternative arrangements. Note however that it is done as a courtesy to participants and Tonkin Travel cannot be held responsible for denied boarding, nor for additional costs occurred.

Policy regarding cancellation/ No Show

At Tonkin Travel we do our best to minimize cancellation penalty for our guests but we must abide by the cancellation policy of each service provider. Bellows are general cancellation policy for:

Tours and Accommodations, Trains

– Cancellation 20 to 15 days before departure date: charge 10% of total amount. – Cancellation 14 to 10 days before departure date: charge 20% of total amount. – Cancellation 9 to 5 days before departure date: charge 50% of total amount. – Cancellation less than 5 days before departure date: charge 100% of total amount.

–  No show: 100% of total rate.

Normal tickets:

– Change of flight (time/date/route): charge USD30 per ticket per time plus fare difference due to the change if any – Refund: charge 30% of full fare – Renaming ticket is actually refund and rebook a new ticket, so it’s charged as refund and plus fare difference if any.

Promotional tickets:

– Charge 100% of ticket value.

*To avoid any money loss for customers, we will negotiate our best in case the late cancellation happens.

Andy joined the company in 2008 as a travel consultant with thorough hospitality background. He was our Operations Manager before taking on the role as Managing Director who is in charge of daily activities for the new brand. As an explorer at heart, Andy has traveled extensively throughout Vietnam and gained great knowledge of every corner. This is the one to go for whenever one-of-a-kind ideas are what you need. He is a detail-oriented and thoughtful leader who always manages to keep the office atmosphere upbeat, the glue to stick our team together which tremendously contributes to our phenomenal services.

Born a traveler, Tuan appreciates the quintessence of a place by getting off the beaten tracks, challenging his physical strength with the mysterious nature, taking back to the bygone eras and befriending with local communities. Settled in Absolute Asia as the captain of our sales and marketing team, he’s been monitoring and providing great supports to his team members. When not conducting marketing campaigns or building brand partnerships, he can be found traveling around Vietnam’s breathtaking landscapes and indulging his passion for photography.
