The flight was very late, sitting on the plane for over an hour and missed our connecting flight from Singapore to LA. As senior citizens, we were rerouted to Copenhagen and then to LA. They should not do this to senior citizens. They should have given us a hotel voucher for a night, then catch a flight to LA the next day. Singapore Airlines should grant us some kind of credit for the next trip, if they want us to fly with them. I doubt if we will ever hear from them.

Overall things were very good and orderly. The food was very good but I want able to get a second drink very easily, so that could have been better for services. The seats seemed to be lacking legroom but I'm also 6'1" so I'm used to wanting more legroom but the plane seemed smaller then others when it came to legroom. My kids all enjoyed the entertainment as did I so that was perfect!

The flight attendants ignored us several times which was annoying. The sandwich thing wasn't very good but it's only an hour flight, it would have been better to have entertainment over bad food.

It was good overall. At 6 foot 1 it's hard to say anything seat on a flight is comfortable but it would be nice to have more legroom. The meals were good but would have liked to get wine much sooner.

Extra seat belt across the chest 10 minutes before taking off and 15 minutes before landing seemed excessively safe.

The transfer from Domestic and International was a bit confusing but I am easily confused. I did not eat any food, but the food on the other leg was decent. It was nice they turned the lights off on the night flight. The plane was in good shape, but was a little cramped in economy and I am small. They gave me a customs form to fill out and nobody looked at it as I went through customs. Not a bad flight.

My case was missing a wheel on arrival Heathrow and the staff were unhelpful when i tried to get some compensation stating it was not sufficient damage, i only wish that they at some point have to deal with the same situation it put me in, maybe they would change their attitude but overall it was a good flight

Lunch Food was tasteful and had variety. Seat was comfortable. However, when I was reserving my seats during booking, the seat configuration showed was 3-3-3, but when I boarded it was a 2-4-2 configuration? Also during booking, I had also bought travel insurance together with my TG booking. However there was no confirmation of my purchase from Allianz and TG. After several emails with TG contact, sales, reservation and Allianz was i able to confirm my insurance purchase. When the policy was issued, the birth dates of me and my wife were wrongly stated and I had to go through another round of emails with Allianz to get it corrected. Otherwise any claims would be void! It was indeed not a very good booking experience!

We had 2 attempts to land at Singapore Changing during a thunderstorm. Everything was delayed by 1 hour plus.

Boarding was not accordingly after front seat, bmf then back seat. This delayed for at least 40mins or more. The staff at Jakarta can do better. Is chaos at the entry to board the plane. This tarnished Scoot reputation when everyone was talking about it.

The Premium economy class is not the same as some other airlines because there are no economy seats on these planes. Basically you’re getting an economy seat that’s a little wider. The seats are not that much more comfortable. The service and food experience is similar to economy class on other Asian airlines. There aren’t enough toilets for the entire plane therefore we are forced to share the business class toilets that are closed off with curtains.

This leg of the trip was smoother than compared to the initial trip. Sri Lankan Airlines still have much work to do to improve the overall travel experience.

The staff was absolutely phenomenal but the other elements of Sri Lankan Airlines need some serious adjustments. The day started off with terrible news that the flight was cancelled from Male and that the plane went to Malta. As an American, when such delays occur, the airlines find suitable ways to accommodate their customers such as putting them in an Airport hotel or lounge while waiting for the next flight. A 1.5 hour trip turned into 12 hours with no accommodations from the Airlines except a ticket to eat breakfast. For such a Billion dollar industry, a cheap breakfast is an insult toward the customer and something greater should have been done.

We had 2 attempts to land at Singapore Changing during a thunderstorm. Everything was delayed by 1 hour plus.

Boarding was not accordingly after front seat, bmf then back seat. This delayed for at least 40mins or more. The staff at Jakarta can do better. Is chaos at the entry to board the plane. This tarnished Scoot reputation when everyone was talking about it.

The crew was not customer oriented at all, even confrontational . The aircraft needs more attention to detail as far as comfort, and the 1 hour sitting at the gate with no air is inexcusable

We flew on the 787 Dreamliner direct to main gate at KLIA2, quick entry via eGate and on the train 41mins after touchdown. Go well SCOOT

Was on scoot plus. The only good thing about the flight was the spacious seats. Tables and armrests were extremely dirty Food: bad Entertainment: non existent Wifi: unable to connect, then was painfully slow that we couldn’t even send messages Good thing we had a night flight, so we just slept throughout.

Not clear why boarding passes could only be issued at the counter and not through the kiosk. I had already check-in on the web, so waiting to obtain a boarding pass 1.5 hours before the actual flight defeats the purpose of early web check-in.

Australia is set to welcome a mysterious new budget domestic airline

Domestic airfare prices could drop after Koala Airlines launches in Australia

The Flying Kangaroo has a new animal chasing at its tail. This week, Koala Airlines, a Melbourne-based aviation company, launched a website unveiling its plans to take flight across Australia. This comes just months after the collapse of low-cost carriers Rex and Bonza in 2024.

For decades, Australia’s domestic aviation industry has been dominated by Qantas and Virgin – rooted in the Two Airline Policy introduced by the Australian government in 1952. Koala Airlines doesn’t intend to go head-to-head with these big players, but rather aims to “carve out a unique niche that enhances the industry landscape without disrupting existing standards.”

Exactly what this niche is remains a mystery. However, Koala hinted at its approach on its website: “While many new low-cost carriers have entered the market since 1990 and focused solely on offering cheaper fares, almost entirely leading to unsustainable competition, Koala is taking a more innovative route.”

Simply having a third domestic carrier will give travellers more choice and likely drive down ticket prices, which have been steadily climbing since Rex and Bonza went bust earlier this year. 

Founded in 2018, Koala Airlines made a big move the following year by acquiring Desert Air Safaris, a company with more than 50 years of experience operating air tours and charters in outback Australia.

The new Aussie airline is yet to reveal its launch date or what routes will be available, so stay tuned for updates.
