Has anyone used The Travel House ltd for flights?

I booked flights last night to USA. Ended up purchasing from The Travel House ltd based near Heathrow. The flights all exist and the company is ATOL protected (I checked on the ATOL website before purchasing and then they sent me an ATOL certificate). I checked reviews on trust pilot and they are quite highly rated. However for some reason I am now having a slight panic about them. I have no idea why! I used a credit card to pay in case there are any problems and they don't deliver the flights. I feel that I have done as much due diligence as I could before purchasing so I have no idea why I feel like this except that I normally buy direct from an airline. Has anyone used this company?

What advantage do they offer over booking direct? Unless it's substantially cheaper (for flights that actually exist of course) or they're selling flights that you can't book direct with the airline, I don't see why you wouldn't do just that?

Hi, I didn't go ahead with the booking and have paid £700 more to book direct with airline. Have to say The Travel House were very responsive and prices were fantastic., so I may have been overly cautious.

I'm not flying for a few weeks but I had to speak to the flight operator a few weeks ago and my flights are all booked and paid for. Great site!!

Much much cheaper because they search out routes that other companies don't as far as I could tell. For example I'm flying via NYC, but no other site came up with that as being an option. I'm flying with American Airlines and the flights are all showing on the AA app. Plus the airline had the booking when I spoke to them.

Flight not confirmed by carrier

Having only booked the flight 12 hours earlier, there was an issue with the carrier of one leg of our flight, not confirming. Austin made contact with me to inform me and offered me alternative flights with a different carrier and with similar flight time. Although there was a slight incremental cost, this was not passed to me. Thank you Austin for contacting me so promptly and avoiding a bigger issue later.

The Travel House provide a very good service. I am always able to get through to an operator, and they always deal with my queries promptly, both over the phone and via email. I would definitely recommend booking with them. Simon was especially helpful with re-booking my flight, after british airways cancelled their flight one day from my date of travel. I was on the phone to them within minutes, and this was resolved within half an hour. I couldn't ask for better service.

Near Disaster Solved With Great Customer Service

My experience with The Travel House could have gone very negatively, but their excellent customer service turned it around. I booked a flight but was told within an hour of booking that the flight was overbooked and that they would have to rebook me. Fortunately, their representative Austin Rees walked me through the rebooking process and even offered me a small upgrade as a goodwill gesture. Since the error was on the side of the airline, The Travel House did the best they could rectify the situation.

Sorted out our scheduling problem very quickly

We booked return tickets from the UK to the US with Travel House, all went very smoothly, until the airline started making schedule changes which would have made it almost impossible for us to get to the airport on time. When we contacted Travel House to see if there were any rescheduling options, they got on the case and very quickly came back to us with a re-arranged set of flights that much better fitted our needs. Simon from Travel House kept us in touch throughout the process, discussed the options with us, and was always friendly and happy to help.

Good deals but beware the upsell

We received a great deal from the Travel House, far cheaper than we could have booking directly with the airline for our route. However, instead of issuing the tickets directly, we were forced to call the agent, who lied to us about the airline policy in an attempt to upsell on a different ticket class. We didn’t appreciate how pushy the agent was, and it was unfortunate that they chose to do this instead of just issuing the e-ticket immediately. In short, you can find good deals with the Travel House, you just have to tolerate their upsell tactics. Avoid if you can get the same or similar price directly with the airline.

"All credit card transactions are non-refundable"

Be really aware of what you're signing up to! The following is an excerpt from their T&Cs, this means even if the airline cancels the flight & refunds The Travel House, if you paid with a CREDIT card the terms state you will not be entitled to a refund: All credit card transactions are non-refundable. This means that if you have made a payment using a credit card, it is not eligible for a refund. I genuinely do not see how this is legal, presumably it's so they can legitimately fight chargebacks.

Avoid like a plague. They are good when there no issues however when there are issues they are no where to be seen and will not help you , they take your money and leave you stranded . Never take your calls and never message back STAY AWAY you will loose your money
