About the treatment.

The Treatment are an English hard rock band, which formed in Cambridge in 2008. Previously, the band members had played together under the monicker, 'God Sacks Man'. In 2011 the band played at Sonisphere Festival on the Jägermeister stage. Later in 2011, a UK tour arranged by the Powerage record label featured The Treatment, alongside New Device, Lethargy and Million Dollar Reload. After the Medication For The Nation Tour in the United Kingdom in December 2011 the band went on tour in support of Alice Cooper, Steel Panther and Thin Lizzy. The Treatment played on the Pepsi Max Stage at Download Festival in Castle Donnington, UK on 9 June 2012. In 2012 the band went on tour with Kiss and Mötley Crüe in their The Tour. In 2013 they played at Ozzfest in Japan and four dates with Slash in the UK. They also supported Status Quo on their Frantic Four reunion tour with Quo's original line up in 2013. On March 29, 2015 the band announced that their frontman Matt Jones would be leaving The Treatment. On May 7, 2015 the band announced that Mitchel Emms and Tao Grey were the new members of The Treatment. The band had been playing some secret shows with this line-up, then on July 25, 2015 they played at the Steelhouse Festival alongside Y&T, Nazareth and UFO. In September 2015, the band were special guests on tour in the UK with W.A.S.P.

Wow. Amazing performances all round. Rocky Kramer opening was a great start, got me lifted. Definitely looking for future performances. Then the treatment, wow, now following and hope to see again in the future. Then for the headline act BUCKCHERRY, WOW WOW WOW. Amazing, electrifying performance and without a doubt the best live band performance of have ever seen. Roughly an 80% chance I'll be there at Cardiff too.

BuckCherry was amazing!! Been waiting a long time, worth the wait 100%! Venue, Hardtimes, and their people were the absolute worst so won't go there again to see them. WILL, however, HAPPILY, make a 3, 5 even 10 hour road trip elsewhere to see them!!! YES!! THAT killer of a show! (And, YES, THAT disorganized, poorly run, where you get 10 different answers to one single question,venue. And God forbid you ask where the merch is set up!!! WTF)

Can't wait to see them again!!!

Went to see them last night in Dayton Ohio they were great. The Venue was horrible though; dirty,overpriced drinks ( mixed drink & 1 beer was $11), bathroom was in bad spot and in need of help. Their performance was awesome, will see them every chance I get. Will not ever go to that venue again though, which was almost a 3 hour drive for us.

The Cure add more dates to 2023 North American tour

One show will be used as “an ‘experiment’ to see whether non-transferable tickets are enough protection”

The Cure have added a handful of new dates to their upcoming tour of North America , bringing their two-month itinerary up to a total of 34 shows.

The four new gigs comes as those previously announced in San Diego, Montreal and Atlanta sold out with unprecedented speed; they’ll play second shows in those respective cities on Sunday May 21, Saturday June 17 and Wednesday June 28. 

The band have also added a night in Portland – where they’ll play at the Moda Centre on Wednesday May 31 – with frontman Robert Smith describing that gig as “an ‘experiment’ to see whether non-transferable tickets are enough protection”. Unlike other dates on the tour, that show will not require a ‘Verified Fan’ code from Ticketmaster to access the public sale.

In other tweets announcing the shows, Smith – who recently expressed his frustration at Ticketmaster’s methods of operating – noted that fans who’d been issued ‘Verified Fan’ codes, but were unsuccessful in purchasing tickets, would have the “first option” to grab seats at these upcoming shows. Sales for them will open here at 10am tomorrow (April 7). A public sale will follow this Saturday (April 8), with details to be announced soon.

“Please please please don’t by tickets if you don’t intend [on] going to the show,” Smith implored fans in one tweet, later wishing them luck in the sale and teasing that “details of shows in Mexico and seven of the twelve sovereign states of South America” will be announced by the end of April.

The American leg of The Cure’s ‘Shows Of A Lost World’ tour will begin on Wednesday May 10 in New Orleans, with a further 25 cities (including the four detailed above) on the itinerary. Reviewing the show in London last December , NME’s Andrew Trendell described it as “an unusual, but thrilling festive party”.

Thus far, Smith has had significant issues with Ticketmaster and their handling of ticket sales for The Cure’s upcoming tour. He said last month that tickets wouldn’t be transferrable to minimise “resale [prices] and keep prices at face value”, later acknowledging that Ticketmaster’s strategy was “a far from perfect system” .

Later in March, Smith declared he was “sickened” by Ticketmaster’s exorbitant fees , and pushed for the company to issue partial refunds to ticketholders as a result. His fight with the ticketing giant continued at the end of the month when he asked why tickets in its promised face-value exchange were “weird” and “over priced” , later revealing that he’s thus far had 7,000 tickets cancelled on secondary resale websites.

Boy George and Culture Club, Howard Jones, Berlin romp through '80s classics on summer tour

BRISTOW, Va. – Never underestimate the power of nostalgia.

Summer amphitheater tours are frequently packaged affairs stocked with like-minded – and era-specific – bands.

The Letting It Go Show, featuring Boy George and Culture Club , Howard Jones and Berlin, is a gift to fans of ‘80s music, primarily because the artists all still offer potent collections of brain-ingrained hits.

At Jiffy Lube Live amphitheater in Virginia Friday – a couple of weeks into the tour that will wrap Aug. 20 in Concord, California – a generation-spanning crowd patiently awaited the trio of acts after a lengthy lightning delay.

Their reward was a heady package of musical memories.

Berlin makes the most of a short set

With arms outstretched, Berlin maven Terri Nunn , 62, greeted an effusive audience that was appreciative to see the band, but also thankful the show started after a nearly 90-minute wait.

Unfortunately, Berlin was forced to be especially economical with their set, performing four songs in 20 minutes.

Understanding the time crunch, the five musicians sharing the stage – including founding member John Crawford and ‘80s-era member David Diamond on guitar – immediately tore into the New Wave magnificence of "No More Words" and "The Metro," their cascading synthesizers still evocative and their melodies indelible.

Nunn, sporting trademark black streaks in her white-blond hair, sounded record-perfect  as she soared through the band’s No. 1 hit, the everlasting "Top Gun" ballad, "Take My Breath Away." The diminutive singer, clad in a sleeveless black dress, walked (with a bodyguard) a few rows into the crowd to sing, facing the back portion of the venue and leading fans in swaying their arms overhead.

Longtime followers of the band were undoubtedly thrilled to see Crawford trade lyrics with Nunn on “Sex (I’m A …)” as they stalked each other on stage, bringing more heat to an already steamy night.

Howard Jones marks 40 years of ‘New Song’

The genial keyboard wizard started his set with an easy mandate: “We play with total energy and you sing every song,” he said.

Backed by a four-piece band including intriguing bassist/Chapman stick player Nick Beggs, Jones, 68, bopped around several neon-glowing poles stationed around the stage, sometimes leaning over his synthesizer, other times grabbing the mic for an impassioned note.

A revamped piano take on “New Song” included Jones, his upper range in fine form, hitting some long notes seemingly effortlessly. At 40 years old, the song still retains a springy youthfulness.

Personable and gracious during his 30-minute set, Jones tucked away his cheerfulness for his plaintive ballad, “What is Love?,” which he infused with pathos as it escalated into a dramatic wall of sound of keyboards and electric guitar and ended on a literal high note.

Jones wrapped his efficient set with “Things Can Only Get Better,” the audience happily shouting the “whoa, whoa, whoa-oh-o” part of the chorus as Jones smiled his way through the perky bop.

Culture Club gleefully romps through ‘80s classics

Few can make an entrance as gleefully as Boy George and on this night, he and Culture Club opted to start with a song they had been saving for the encore at previous shows – a smoking version of the Rolling Stones’ "Sympathy for the Devil."

"When I die – if I die – I want to be Mick Jagger," he said with the first of many wicked grins flashed throughout the hour-ish set.

Flanked by fellow original Culture Club members Mikey Craig on bass and Roy Hay on guitar and keyboards, Boy George, 62, looked flawlessly glamorous in layers of black and blue fabric, a gray hat tilted on his head.

Culture Club unspooled their realm of hits with layered precision by springing for a four-piece band – including a percussionist and saxophonist – and two impressive backup singers.

Boy George shimmied and gestured his way through "It’s a Miracle," his voice creamy and soulful before teasing "Shall we tumble?"

That led, naturally, into the slinky groove of "I’ll Tumble 4 Ya," followed by a reggae-fied cover of Bread’s "Everything I Own."

Boy George appeared genuinely happy throughout the set, smiling as he skipped around the stage. He led the band through ‘80s time capsules, including "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?" and the spotlight of the night, "Church of the Poison Mind," which was ingeniously meshed with Wham!’s "I’m Your Man" in a pleasant marriage of cadence and spirit.

The encore included mainstay "Karma Chameleon," but more satisfying were the glistening soul of "Time (Clock of the Heart)" and "Miss Me Blind," given a ‘70s club vibe thanks to Hay scratching out a disco rhythm on guitar.
