By Train: Even though there are many railway stations near the Buxa Forest such as Raja Bhat Khawa Railway Station, Garopara Railway Station, Kalchini Railway Station, etc, the major nearby one is New Jalpaiguri Junction whose short name is NJP. The approximate distance from NJP to Buxa Forest is 175 km which takes around 4 hours to cover.

By Road: Travelers can comfortably reach the forest by road as it is nicely connected with all the cities. From cities like Alipurduar and Siliguri, a rented car can help travelers reach Buxa Forest quite comfortably. The nearest airport is the Bagdogra Domestic Airport under Indian Air Force. This airport connects all the airports all over india. The distance between Bagdogra and Siliguri is 13 km. After arriving at airport, you can hire a cab or you can travel with public transport to reach siliguri.

Nearest railway station is New Maynaguri railway station, New Mal Jn & Chalsa. From the given stations, New Malbazar Junction is the important one apart from New Jalpaiguri and Siliguri Railway Station in this area. You can change train from New Jalpaiguri or can follow the road journey from New Jalpaiguri to the park or Siliguri to the park.

Lataguri is well connected by NH-31 road with Darjeeling, Siliguri, Bhutan and other towns of North Bengal. North Bengal State Transport Corporation Buses, Bhutan Govt. Mini Buses and Private Buses are available from Siliguri to Lataguri. Journey time from Siliguri is about 1:30 hours.

Lataguri experiences high humidity during the summers and you may feel uncomfortable. The hot and humid climate of Lataguri starts from the month of March and extends till the end of June. Where to stay

• Chapramari Forest Bungalow - It's an old 2-storied bungalow but well maintained. The location with lovely forest views around, pebbled pathways and the greenery is excellent. However the watchtower being located close to the bungalow, there can be tourist crowd around. 
• Chapramari Wilderness Camp - It's located at Panjhora at the fringe of the forest. There are several budget cottages here with basic amenities in a wonderful location with a nice lawn in front. You can also see the bridge across river Murti with trains passing by... a wonderful sight. However if there is anything really missing here... it's the wilderness itself.
