I chose to learn from the best. In just four short weeks, I’ve learned so much from this course - about geography and business communication. The institute is so well structured and well placed, with an open and friendly atmosphere that makes learning enjoyable. The great part over here in this institute is the teacher's teaching method they’re like so good at teaching things easily. I highly recommend choosing the Riya institution if you’re looking for a Destination specialist or Global Tourism management course.
I interned at Riya’s Pune branch, where I worked on visa applications for maximum countries. Thank you to the Team Leader and staff who were humble and warm. I got the opportunity to manage tourist and business visas. I look forward to working on the field for Visa and Immigration full time. Thank you to the leadership team for this opportunity and for adding to my knowledge!
I had a great learning experience in the visa department. As I was assigned with many diverse tasks, I learnt about Online and Offline Visa application, Documentation, Email Correspondence, Passport Process, Visa Submission for many countries, and lots more.
When I was not sure what I was going to do next in my career or in which direction I should go further, Riya Institute of Hospitality came into the picture as a saviour for me. Studying at Riya for the Destination Specialist Certification Programme was such a good experience in the pandemic period. Though the training imparted was online, there is no compromise in teaching quality. Faculties are very helpful. They are always there to help you with your assignments, projects, and solve all our doubts. I have enjoyed because of the way the modules are scheduled. Their content and modules are very practical based and helped us get industry-ready. They make sure that every student is updated with the new trends. They also arrange one-to-one sessions for the students to understand about their difficulties throughout the programme. I really enjoyed studying and had a holistic learning experience. I have now upgraded to their Global Tourism Management Course for an in depth learning of various aspects of the Travel & Tourism industry. Thank You.
I am currently pursuing GTM and IATA certification. So far, it was a great experience to learn at Riya Institute of Hospitality. I got an in-depth knowledge about all the subjects that were taught. That was very helpful as I was totally new to the tourism industry. All the faculty members are cooperative. They were ready to clear any doubts or difficulties that occurred, at any time. Not only did they give us their knowledge but also taught us to learn on our own by giving us various tasks and activities. Looking forward to learning many new things from Riya Institute of Hospitality.
It was a good experience. Sessions were good and each topic was made crystal clear. The projects and assignments were the best part. Along with my working hours I was able to manage the Global Tourism Management training online. It helped me to gain practical experience from the industry. I have developed my Presentations skills and Business communication. Overall, Global Tourism Management is a career oriented programme guiding me to build my career.
Riya Institute of Hospitality helped me to realise my potential to work on my skills. By attending the lectures, I got more confident and acquired a lot of knowledge about the travel industry. Their best professional approach towards the course is a key factor for me to pursue another course – the Global Tourism Management course, which gives a deep insight into the industry. Dubai will host the World Air Transport Summit (WATS) directly following the IATA AGM, addressing pivotal aviation sector concerns.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced that leaders of the global airline industry are gathering in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), for the 80th IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit from June 2-4, 2024
The event is being held in the UAE for the first time and hosted by Emirates Airline.
According to IATA, over 1,500 participants are expected to be in attendance, including industry leaders, government officials and media.
Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, is expected to welcome delegates to Dubai with an opening keynote speech to the AGM.
According to Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, “Dubai’s world-leading connectivity places it at the crossroads of the planet. And it will soon be the center of the airline industry’s leadership as it hosts the 80th IATA Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit,” said Willie Walsh, IATA’s Director General.
“We look forward to hosting our industry colleagues in Dubai, Emirates’ home and hub. This is a city that has forged its place in global aviation and prospered, thanks to its visionary leaders and progressive policies that recognize air transport’s role as a key economic enabler. In line with this, last year aviation contributed 27% to Dubai’s GDP and supported $37 billion in gross value added.
“There are always exciting new developments in Dubai, and I hope visiting delegates will get a chance to experience this buzzing city and the UAE’s renowned hospitality for themselves.”

The World Air Transport Summit (WATS) will be hosted in the city immediately after the IATA AGM for a comprehensive program addressing the critical issues facing the aviation sector.
Walsh also said: “The commitment to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050 will top the agenda of the 80th IATA AGM and World Air Transport Summit. We will explore solutions to accelerate progress, particularly with the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and the potential for carbon removals.
“We’ll also take stock of our progress on safety, financial sustainability, and other key industry topics. It’s important that we put these challenges on the table so that all stakeholders, including governments, have a clear understanding of what airlines need to connect people and economies safely, efficiently, and ever more sustainably.”
IATA also disclosed that the popular CEO Insights Panel moderated by CNN’s Richard Quest will feature Vanessa Hudson, Group CEO and the Managing Director, Qantas; Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline; Scott Kirby, CEO of United Airlines and Shai Weiss, CEO of Virgin Atlantic Airways.
Key topics to be addressed in the WATS include: A ‘Big Picture’ view of challenges facing the airline industry with changing energy markets, an increasingly complex global geopolitical situation, and shifting supply chains/trade patterns; the potential for AI in aviation; Advancing sustainability with SAF and carbon removals; How aviation and tourism can work better together, and the prospects for air cargo
IATA said a program highlight will be the fifth edition of the IATA Diversity and Inclusion Awards. These awards recognize organizations and individuals who are making a leadership contribution to the 25 by 2025 initiative to improve the gender balance in aviation.
The global body said the benefits of global connectivity is a topic that will underpin the entire program, stating that globally aviation directly employs 3 million people and is a key enabling part of the travel and tourism value chain which supports some 320 million jobs and accounts for about 10% of all economic activity. Moreover, air cargo delivers $8.3 trillion of trade annually – some 35% of total trade.
For Dubai, IATA disclosed that Oxford Economics estimated that aviation contributed 27% to Dubai’s GDP and supported $37 billion in gross value added in 2023. This is projected to increase to $53 billion dollars in 2030, in line with Dubai’s growth.
The association said aviation contributes to achieving 15 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has announced that leaders of the global airline industry are gathering in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), for the 80th IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit from June 2-4, 2024 The event is being held in the UAE for the first time and hosted by Emirates Airline.
“There are always exciting new developments in Dubai, and I hope visiting delegates will get to a chance to experience this buzzing city and the UAE’s renowned hospitality for themselves.”
The World Air Transport Summit (WATS) will be hosted in the city immediately after the IATA AGM for a comprehensive program addressing the critical issues facing aviation sector.
Key topics to be addressed in the WATS include: A ‘Big Picture’ view of challenges facing the airline industry with changing energy markets, an increasingly complex global geopolitical situation, and shifting supply chains/trade patterns; the potential for AI in aviation; Advancing sustainability with SAF and carbon removals; How aviation and tourism can work better together, and the prospects for air cargo IATA said a program highlight will be the fifth edition of the IATA Diversity and Inclusion Awards.

WGS 84 coordinate reference system is the latest revision of the World Geodetic System, which is used in mapping and navigation, including GPS satellite navigation system (the Global Positioning System).
Geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) define a position on the Earth’s surface. Coordinates are angular units. The canonical form of latitude and longitude representation uses degrees (°), minutes (′), and seconds (″). GPS systems widely use coordinates in degrees and decimal minutes, or in decimal degrees.
Latitude varies from −90° to 90°. The latitude of the Equator is 0°; the latitude of the South Pole is −90°; the latitude of the North Pole is 90°. Positive latitude values correspond to the geographic locations north of the Equator (abbrev. N). Negative latitude values correspond to the geographic locations south of the Equator (abbrev. S).
Longitude is counted from the prime meridian ( IERS Reference Meridian for WGS 84) and varies from −180° to 180°. Positive longitude values correspond to the geographic locations east of the prime meridian (abbrev. E). Negative longitude values correspond to the geographic locations west of the prime meridian (abbrev. W).
UTM or Universal Transverse Mercator coordinate system divides the Earth’s surface into 60 longitudinal zones. The coordinates of a location within each zone are defined as a planar coordinate pair related to the intersection of the equator and the zone’s central meridian, and measured in meters.
Elevation above sea level is a measure of a geographic location’s height. We are using the global digital elevation model GTOPO30 .

Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.
Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.
Belfry and Neighbouring Churches
Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.
To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.
Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral
The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.
Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.
Tsaritsa's Chambers
The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.
At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.
Palace of Tsar Alexis
The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.
