However, there’s a small issue barring the way to satisfying realm completion – how exactly do you get to Jotunheim? Or, more specifically, how do you return to Jotunheim?

In this guide, we’ll answer that very question and provide all the details you need to find the one item needed to 100% Jotunheim.

How to Get to Jotunheim in God of War Ragnarok?

God of War Ragnarok - Jotunheim Realm Guide 100% Completion

You’ll travel to Jotunheim as part of the The Lost Sanctuary main path mission fairly early on in the game. Upon returning to Sindri’s House, or any of the realms for that matter, it soon becomes apparent that you can’t travel back.

God of War Ragnarok - Jotunheim Realm Guide 100% Completion

To get back to Jotunheim, you’ll need to finish the story in God of War Ragnarok. At which point, visit Sindri’s House and talk to Ratatoskr, who will gift you the Yggdrasil Seed for Jotunheim. Interact with any mystic portal from then on and you’ll be able to travel back to Jotunheim as Kratos.

How To Get To Jotunheim In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

Unlock the Jotunheim map.

Apart from the two maps, England and Norway, you can also get to Asgard and Jotunheim areas in AC Valhalla. Reaching England from Norway is quite simple. All you need to do is complete the main missions from Norway and then use the Longship to get to England. Once you have accessed England, you can then simply press shift while on the in-game map to choose between the two maps and head there. However, getting to Asgard and Jotunheim is not that simple and straightforward at all. Hence, to simplify things, in this guide, we will discuss how to get to Jotunheim in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

AC Valhalla: How to Get to Jotunheim

You can get to Jotunheim in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla by bringing Fireweed and St. John’s Wort plants to Valka, the witch. She will brew a potion with those plants, drinking which will take you to Jotunheim. However, you will have to progress in the main story and complete some quests before being able to get to the desired location.

To get to Jotunheim, you will first have to get to Asgard. You can refer to our guide on how to reach Asgard for help. To put it in brief, you will have to be at settlement level 4 to get to Asgard. Once, at settlement level 4, you will meet Valka, the witch, who will ask you to get some seeds. With those seeds, she will prepare a potion, drinking which will get you to Asgard. Once you have unlocked Asgard, you can travel there at will by going to Valka’s hut and drinking that potion.

how to get to jotunheim in ac valhalla

When you progress and complete the Asgard arc questline, head back to Valka. This time interacting with Valka will begin another quest named “Going Deeper.” In this quest, you will have to bring the above-mentioned plants. You will find Fireweed and St. John’s Wort plants in a cave located to the north of the Dover cliffs in Cent. Completing this quest will unlock the Jotunheim map.

That’s everything you need to know about how to get to Jotunheim in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Once you are in Jotunheim, you will encounter another main story quest called Mistress of the Iron Wood. In this quest, you will have to find and speak to Angrboda  and then find and enter a hidden well to collect some other plants. How to get to Jotunheim in Assassin's Creed Valhalla

AC Valhalla Jotunheim: How to complete the Cave of Trials during the Going Deeper quest.

jotunheim AC Valhalla Going Deeper

Trying to figure out how to get to Jotunheim in AC Valhalla? Just like the AC Valhalla Asgard region, you won't be able to jump in your longboat and set sail for this mythical land—you'll need to find some other means of getting there. To get started, you'll need to finish the Asgard story arc, then return to Valka at the Seer's Hut in Ravensthorpe to receive the quest, Going Deeper.

Valka will task you with collecting herbs for a new elixir to send you to Jotunheim, and you'll need to head to Cent to fetch them. The AC Vahalla Going Deeper quest can be tricky, as you'll be exploring a confusing cave network to retrieve the herbs. You won't encounter any enemies in the caves though, so you can complete this with a low gear level—providing you don't run into trouble on the way there.

Ready to go? This guide shows you how to get to AC Valhalla Jotunheim, as well as details on how to navigate the Cave of Trials and finish the Going Deeper quest.

AC Valhalla Jotunheim: How to complete the Cave of Trials

If you head to the quest marker on the map in Cent, you'll find an abandoned, cobwebbed house. Enter it and look for a square hole in the floor with a ladder leading down. You can use your torch to see here if it's a bit dark. Destroy the boxes at the bottom to clear the crawl space and make your way through. You'll slide down a short slope and end up in a cave.

Make your way across the rocks here but use your Odin's Sight to spot the key hanging from the end of the chain. Use 'E' as you jump past it to collect the Key of Courage and use it to unlock the door ahead.

The tunnels here can get quite confusing so make sure you use your Odin's Sight often to locate the herbs you're after. You should see the first straight ahead, so use the wooden beam and jump across to it. Jump to the doorway ahead and collect another herb at the end of the tunnel.

In the next cave, use your Odin's Sight again and use the ropes attached to the rock pillars to make your way to the other side and collect two more herbs. From here, use the rope to cross over to the big rock stalactite in the middle of the room and climb up it and to the right to find yet another rope. Pull yourself up onto this and make your way about halfway across. On your right, you should see another key hanging from a chain and you'll need to jump across to the rock pillar on the other side and press 'e' to grab the Key of Balance as you pass by. Once collected, turn left and use the rope to return to the entrance that you came in from.

Keep up to date with the most important stories and the best deals, as picked by the PC Gamer team.

Return down this passage and back to the previous cave. Turn slightly to your left and jump to the rope, then across to the wooden beam, then to the doorway ahead. Make your way through another cave and keep going until you find a room with a wooden platform suspended by ropes. Slide down the slope but jump to grab the beam, then jump to the platform and across to another doorway. Head through here to find two more herbs on your left.

That should be all you need for Valka but you still need to find a way out of here.

Keep going up the stone steps until you find another cave with a rope. You'll also spot a key—again, hanging from a chain—just ahead. You can slide down to the small triangular rock ledge here and jump across to the stone pillar ahead, grabbing the Key of Agility as you jump. Jump across to the steps ahead and turn right, jumping any gaps you come across.

Keep going until you find a moveable rock and pull it towards you to reveal a gap you can squeeze through. You'll find yourself back in the first big cave you came to. Now you need to turn slightly to your left and use three ropes to jump across to the doorway with a wooden ledge. You should find yourself in a room with lots of wooden platforms. Shoot down the big sack of rubble immediately in front of you and jump across to the platform on the other side.

Pull yourself up the platforms here until you find another bag of rubble in your way and shoot that down, too. Once the dust has cleared, jump across to the narrow ledge and on to the platform beyond. If you follow the platform, you should see a ladder to your left and you'll need to use your bow to release it to the floor. Jump across to the ladder and climb onto the circular wooden platform then jump between the two ropes here to grab the Key of Dexterity. From here, jump to the platform below and make your way out of the room through the door that you entered.

Once you're back in the main room again, jump to ground level and look for a door ahead of you. Use two of the keys to unlock the doors here and head through to find a chest you can loot. Use another key on the next door to unlock it then follow the passage for quite a way until you reach another moveable rock and a cave full of stalagmites. You'll need to use the blocks here to jump over the obstacles so position them accordingly.

Once you're through, run up the stairs—use your Odin's Sight here to grab the Treasure of Britain sat on top of a rock then use another key to unlock the door ahead. You can put that towards getting your hands on AC Valhalla Excalibur . Keep following the passage and you'll eventually reach a gap that brings you back outside.

And that's it. You can now head back to Ravensthorpe and give the herbs to Valka to complete the AC Valhalla Going Deeper quest. She will make a second elixir and you'll be able to use it to travel to Jotunheim. Be careful not to interact with the wrong potion when you're ready though—they are quite close to each other on the table.

how to travel back to jotunheim

During God of War ’s “ Between the Realms ,” after doing exactly what you were told to never, ever do, you’ll move on to “Jotunheim in Reach.” You’ll have to do a bit more work, but it’s almost time to fulfill your late wife’s final wish.

Tyr’s Temple

 alt=

Now that you’ve returned the Jotunheim Tower to Midgard, you can use it. Head along the bridge back to the Temple and the Realm Travel Room . Don’t worry about stopping at the dwarves’ shop on your way past (spoiler: things don’t go as planned).

Head into the Travel Room, select Jotunheim at the controls and push the button. We’ll wait.

Back outside, talk to Brok and Sindri to find out your next destination. While you’re there, buy and upgrade anything you can — you won’t get another chance for a while.

The Serpent’s Horn

how to travel back to jotunheim

Back out on the bridge, run down to the switch at the midpoint. Ride the elevator up and have Mimir call the World Serpent.

Belly of the Beast

how to travel back to jotunheim

Head to any of the boat docks nearby and hop in a canoe. Paddle over and into the World Serpent’s mouth.

Find Mimir’s Eye

Items in this area: wooden chesst, Legendary Chest (Mimir’s Eye), Legendary Chest (Symbol of Heart)

how to travel back to jotunheim

There’s not a whole lot going on inside the Serpent’s stomach, so just keep paddling along and avoiding rocks. Eventually, there will be a little more light and you’ll spot a wooden chest on your left. “Beach” the canoe to the left of it and grab the hacksilver.

You’ve only got a few more feet to go, so just hop into your canoe again and keep paddling back into the serpent until you find a place to dock.

Run forward along the dock until you see a pile of planks against a wall ahead of you. Smash them to uncover a place to climb — but don’t climb yet.

Turn to the right and look across the water for a spinning yellow panel next to a crane. Toss your axe at the panel until it won’t turn any more and freeze the gear below it in place. This will swing the crane over and give you something to climb on.

Climb up the crack in the wall you uncovered a second ago and work your way over to the right. Jump down onto the crane’s platform, then recall your axe. It’ll swing you back around to the right and bring you to another wall to climb.

Turn left at the top and run straight along the path toward the Legendary Chest . Open it to retrieve Mimir’s Eye .

Turn to the left and jump the gap to find another Legendary Chest . There are no eyes in this one, sadly, but you will find a Symbol of Heart enchantment .

Jump back across the gap and take the zip line on your right down to the dock. Hop back in your canoe and paddle all the way back out of the serpent without any drama whatsoever.

Thamur’s Corpse

how to travel back to jotunheim

Okay, so we lied. There was some drama.

This is it, the final battle with Baldur.

Baldur boss fight

In this section, we’ll walk you through the Baldur boss fight, one phase at a time.

Baldur p hase 1

how to travel back to jotunheim

Pick your favorite weapon and unload everything you have onto Baldur. This phase is just about getting to the next one. Focus on dealing enough damage to trigger the transition.

Baldur p hase 2

how to travel back to jotunheim

While Freya tries to keep the boys from fighting, your job is to just keep dealing damage.

Your axe will do the job just fine, but the Blades deal marginally more damage and have the benefit of giving you added reach while Baldur bounces around the arena.

It’s tempting to try to have the boy shoot the crystals around the arena, but don’t waste the shots — Baldur’s too unrelenting in his attacks to give you enough breathing room anyway.

Baldur p hase 3

how to travel back to jotunheim

This time, Baldur’s marginally more vulnerable to Frost attacks, so switch back to your axe. You’ll have to deal a couple waves of Broods this time as well. Try to clean them up while avoiding Baldur’s attacks, and then turn all your attention on him until the next wave shows up.

Baldur’s got a few attacks to watch out for this time, but they’re all well telegraphed:

  • He’ll rear back and pound the ground to send out a line of fire. This attack will have a yellow parry circle. You can block this one, but it’s better to roll out of the way and preserve your health.
  • He’ll hunch over and explode in a ball of fire. This one will have a red parry ring. Just roll away from him.
  • He’ll launch himself into the air and come crashing down (it’s similar to one of his attacks from your first fight). This one won’t have a parry ring, but you’ll know it’s coming when he leaps 50 feet into the air. Just keep moving and you won’t get stomped on.

Baldur p hase 4

how to travel back to jotunheim

For this final phase of the fight, Baldur will bounce back and forth between hot and cold. Switch your weapons to the opposite — blades for when he’s blue, axe for when he’s red. Don’t hold anything back here. Use your Spartan Range, Runic attacks, Runic Summons — everything.

Baldur will be zipping around and trying to get some punches in, too. Always be ready to block and parry, and you’ll survive just fine.

Twilight Beckons

how to travel back to jotunheim

And that’s it. You have everything you need to fulfill Faye’s final wish and travel to Jotunheim. There’s nothing to collect there, and it’s a pretty linear level.

Now that you’re free to explore without all that responsibility hanging over your head, check out our other God of War guides to help you find every collectible, defeat every Valkyrie or overcome the challenges of Niflheim .

assassin's creed, how to get to Jotunheim, How to Get There, Leave & Return

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Jotunheim: How to Get There, Leave & Return

Image of Alex Gibson

Eivor is busy enough trying to establish the Raven Clan in England, but there’s work to be done further afield too. As in, an entirely different realm further afield! For those wanting to visit the mysterious land of the giants in Ubisoft’s latest RPG , here’s how to get to Jotunheim in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and how to leave and return once you’ve made it.

How to Get to Jotunheim in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

how to get to Jotunheim

Just as with the Asgard section of Valhalla’s mythological quest arc, players visit Jotunheim from Valka the Seer’s hut, which is found in Ravensthorpe (after you’ve built it).

If the option isn’t available to you yet it’s because you haven’t yet completed the Asgard quest. The Jotunheim quest arc is basically the second part to Eivor’s mythological adventure, and it only triggers once Asgard has been completed.

From there, a new questline called “Going Deeper” will task players with collecting another batch of flowers for Valka. Once she’s made the broth then you’ll be able to drink the potion and get to Jotunheim.

How to Leave and Return to Jotunheim

how to get to Jotunheim

Again, the process for leaving Jotunheim is the same as for Asgard. From the map, locate the eye symbol and hover over it. You’ll then see an option to “Wake Up,” and this will bring you back to England.

You’re able to come and go from Jotunheim and Asgard as often and whenever you like, both during and after the completion of both quest arcs.

Like Asgard, Jotunheim has its own collectibles called Bloodstones that are dotted around the map. That means there are plenty of reasons to return here even after you’ve completed the story.

That’s everything you’ll need to know about  how to get to Jotunheim in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla , and how to leave and return once you’ve made it.  For more useful tips and guides on the game, be sure to check out Twinfinite’s extensive  wiki .

Kratos and the crew will return back to the realm travel room to finally get to Jotunheim, the realm of the Giants. Once again and hopefully for the last time, there is another problem. Tyr made a failsafe that used his own eyes to access Jotunheim. Mimir had a gift from the giants which are his eyes. Except Mimir only has one of them, the other was ripped out by Odin and hid in the realm of Midgard. This leads us to find Mimir's other eye, so we will have to go back to the Horn at the bridge of Tyr's Temple.

Mimir will speak to the World Serpent yet again after blowing the horn. The party uses deductive logic previously to figure that the Statue of Thor, which was eaten by the World Serpent earlier in the game, may contain Mimir's other eye. The Serpent will open it's gigantic maw most reluctantly as Kratos and the party will have to go inside the Serpents Mouth to find Mimir's eye!

Belly of the Beast

Being inside the world serpent is rather easy. We can simply head to the marker, but there is a Hacksilver Chest on one of the nearby docks. To get to the marker players must solve a small puzzle. This puzzle involves one of the Leviathan Axe rotator puzzles. Throw the axe at the yellow painted wood and once the platform moves until it can not anymore, freeze the circular object. Climb up the wall and jump onto the platform, then unfreeze the object by recalling the Leviathan Axe. This will bring us to a Legendary Treasure Chest with Mimir's other eye.

There is also another treasure chest here with a strange mask. Since we already collected all of the Niflheim Realm keys, this chest should contain a random Armor Enchantment. Players should remember there are seven of these chest in total. The First four will contain Niflheim Realm Ciphers. The next and last three chest will contain Armor Enchantments.

Once we have finished looting the area we can make our way back outside of the Serpents Mouth. There will be a huge ruckus and rumbling all of the sudden. The boat will begin shaking and crashing more violently as we head out of the Belly of the Beast. Soon enough we will be knocked all the way out at Thamur's Corpse and meet none other than the Goddess Freya. At this point, we can confirm that Freya is the Mother of the games Antagonist, Baldur! Baldur will next appear and after some talking, we will enter the Final Battle , Good Luck!

Baldur ( Final Boss )

Baldur could be tough, but he isn't as difficult overall as Magni and Modi. He has mainly three phases, these can possibly be divided into sub-phases. However, I didn't count the QTE type segments. They are too easy, we have checkpoints for them and they really don't require much tactical advice. Just remember, to block and attack Baldur during some of the "cutscenes". Baldur's final phase is tough and ranks up there with Magni and Modi, yet it still falls just short in my opinion and in terms of difficulty, yet not fun factor.

Phase #1 will have the Goddess Freya using an Entanglement spell on Kratos and Baldur rather often. This can be used to our advantage if you mash the circle button and very quickly follow up with some attacks. I love the Leviathan Axe here at the start of the fight. Use the axe and try not to take damage until Baldur prompts a quick cut-scene and says the word " Freezing!". This will now mean that Baldur is basically a Hel-Baldur or Hel-Walker. Which really means we must use the blades of chaos while he is blue. This will become more important in the final and later phases.

For now, just wail at Baldur using the Blades of Chaos and its runic attacks. I personally stuck with Hyperion Slam and Spartan Charge. However a really good give me god of war player named Oblivion from youtube.com uses Blast of Hephaestus! Players will have to knock off five bars of Baldur's health meter to progress into the next phase. Once this is done we will be prompted with a QTE or semi-quick time event. Be sure to block and punch Baldur until we start Phase #2.

In phase #2 the heat cranks up. Baldur will basically be made of fire and is susceptible to the Leviathan Axe. However, he will introduce an insanely tough attack, which is his Leap Attack . In this phase, it only does burn damage, but we still want to avoid it desperately. Players should either sprint or quickly dodge the precise moment they see the "fire" form on the ground. Baldur may do this attack one time or three times consecutively. Baldur will also summon some foes along with him. These are Brood enemy types and at times they can help by dropping valuable Health Crystals as well as stunning and staggering Baldur after a kill. This is especially true for a quick stagger if one of them latch onto Kratos and then Kratos toss them off himself.

For this phase, stick to the Leviathan Axe and mainly beware of the Fire Leap Attack. It's a tough attack but only gets worse later. Finally, for the brood, they are not as bad as they seem. Use their drops and rewards to your advantage as mentioned above and they shouldn't bother players too much. Remember we have a pleasant checkpoint here as well. We must take off another five bars of Baldur's health to go into the very Final Phase #3!

Final Phase #3

Wow, this phase was tough, really tough! The Main problem I had here was the leaping attacks. The reason why they are worse this time around is because Baldur will alternate between Frost and Burn attacks. The Frost attacks are even worse in Give me God of war mode. If players are hit by a Frost attack it will slow them down instantly due to the Frost Buildup. This means they are very likely, or extremely likely to be hit by any of Baldurs next attacks. In this case, Beware of the Leaping attacks, especially the Frost One!

If you can get the leaping attacks out of the way, this is a very entertaining battle. It's honestly one of the best boss fights I had in a long time! I do feel it doesn't top Hades or some of the other amazing God Of War III battles. I like Baldur as the main antagonist, but a quick opinion if I may. He just seems a bit too small and lacks the overall Godliness that was held by other characters in the original or Greek God of War games. That's just my opinion though, Baldur rocks I admit I just wanted a bit more. The actual battle in terms of gameplay does not fall short once again!

Back to the game, when Baldur is Blue use the Blades of Chaos players should swap to them with left on the directional pad. When Baldur is red or on fire, players should switch to the Leviathan Axe by pressing the Right button on the directional pad or the Triangle button. This makes for a very interesting battle, as we will also have the choice to conserve or use our Spartan Rage at the start of the fight. In all honesty, all of your skills will be tested here. I have even heard some players fighting Baldur with just their fists on give me god of war mode. This could be something I may look into with this guide, being we have such an excellent game!

  • Be ready for three major phases!
  • Dodge the Leaping attacks at all cost!
  • Swap between the blades and Leviathan Axe appropriately.

10 Best Beginner-Friendly RTS Games

10 games with better gameplay than stories, 10 best story-rich games on pc.

As though one dream sequence wasn't enough when Assassin's Creed Valhalla introduced Asgard, you'll end up getting a second one with Jotunheim. The area itself might not be as luxurious or traditionally picturesque as Asgard, but you better believe it's every bit as populated, diverse, and easy to get turned around and lost.

RELATED: What Year Is Every Assassin's Creed Game Set In

So don't enter Jotunheim and hope for the best. Following the markers won't be enough as occasionally the people and locations don't even exist unless you approach them correctly. This guide will go over every objective that you'll get while you're here and provide details from the veterans who have played through the game multiple times. That way, you'll not only be successful, but you'll get the questline done in the most expeditious way possible.

Updated on June 8th, 2021 by Hodey Johns:  Community support and use for this guide has been overwhelming and after the release of Wrath of the Druids, players are experiencing more side content than ever before. This includes Jotunheim. While nothing has effectively changed, many gamers were curious as to what Jotunheim offers and how to get there, so a section for beginners has been added at the start of this guide.

Getting To Jotunheim

Understandably, players will be excited to get to Jotunheim early, either for the extra romance option, the abundance of in-game advantages, or the mythological importance of the location. However,  Jotunheim cannot be visited until after completing the first quest arc in Asgard .

Speak to Valka after completing the Asgard missions and get a quest called "Going Deeper." Eivor will be instructed to pick Fireweed and St. Johns's Wort. St. John's Wort only grows in a very specific location, which will be marked on the map . Enter the house and go through the basement. The cave contains a special relic (necessary for getting Excalibur later on), but make sure to pick the St. John's Wort and the Fireweed while you're here.

Return to Valka, drink another portion, and it's off to Jotunheim!

Mistress Of The Iron Wood

  • Find And Speak To Angrboda

You will see nothing but a weird-looking tree with the roots coming out of the ground unless you look at it from the right angle. Find a pedestal in the middle of some rocks, then look at the tree , and you'll see the elaborate treehouse in its full glory. Speak to Angrboda and get your next directive.

  • Find And Enter The Waterfall

Once again, you'll only see dry land at first. Read the inscription between the braziers  on the cliffside, then turn around and you'll see a waterfall in the middle of a newly created lake. Dive on down.

  • Find And Gather The Roots

The roots won't be marked until you're extremely close, so while you are in the cave, constantly pulse your blue vision wave to cause the roots to light up.

  • Bring The Roots

The cave can get a little complicated, but if you hug the right wall up , you'll find the correct and fastest exit. Make sure to go past the same pedestal so that Angrboda's home appears, just like last time.

RELATED: Assassin's Creed Valhalla: How To Romance Randvi

After a seven-minute cutscene, you'll go to the next stage of your mission.

The Lost Cauldron

  • Find The Cauldron's Trail
  • Investigate The Ambush Site

When you get close to the location, the objective will change from "find" to "investigate." Start with the side of the tipped-over cart . Then check out the large tree that has been broken in half . The last piece of the puzzle is a cracked wheel in a shallow ditch by the cart.

  • Search For The Cauldron

No markers will guide you, but use your vision pulse to light up the trail adorned with blue breadcrumbs.

  • Find And Take The Cauldron

You'll end at a structure. Once you enter, a maze will begin. You will hit a locked door at a dead end, but when you turn around, the path behind you will have changed. Move the obstacle and continue through the new tunnel.

After a room full of sleeping guards, you'll find a key located on the right side; the cauldron is in the next room. Go past this room, then come back and you'll see it's shrunk enough to carry out.

A Gift From The Past

  • Find Thrym's House

Exit the cave and use your bird to spot where Thrym's house should be since you won't have a convenient marker. This is not some kind of illusion, the house itself is no longer standing. Dive into the crack in the ice and swim through the tunnels. After smashing through a breakable ice wall, you'll receive your next objective.

  • Search For A Present

You'll arrive at a complex area, but the correct direction is into the water and through another capsized tunnel . Break another ice door to reveal Thrym's underwater home and pull a bridal circlet off of a severed arm to reveal the next quest. Continue forward up some snowy stairs and out of a door to the surface.

A Feast To Remember

  • Find And Speak To Suttungr
  • Find And Speak To Gunlodr

After a chat with her father, you'll be tasked with tracking down Gunlodr. She's hidden her entrance in the middle of some rock pillars. Pass between the rocks with the animal skulls posted on the front of them and you'll be in business.

  • Follow Gunlodr

Ride the mount to keep up with Gunlodr, use it to get back to the feast where you'll be asked to make a speech. Nothing substantial is affected by your choices, but the ones that make the participants the happiest are "I am a mighty warrior," then "I respect you," and finally, "Let us just get to drinking!"

  • Empty The Cauldron

Now you're assigned to do a litany of tasks that inspire drinking. Talk to the Jotun and arrange a fistfight . Fight and defeat "Hag" in bare-knuckle combat. She's not too tough, but her blows land like a ton of bricks, so just be good about dodging. There's a thrall here that would like to play his harp, but it's been stolen. Find the thieves by the mead pool and then accept their task and jump into the mead from a perch above the pool .

The archery game is tricky and there aren't any do-overs, so save the game before giving it a shot. Drink a flagon of mead, then shoot the jar  in front of the barrel the mead is resting on. Repeat drinking and shooting until all three jars are down. With a sliver left to go, talk to Gunlodr and solve her riddles. The answers are: "Ale," "Hammer," and "Swans and eggs."

RELATED: Assassin's Creed: Each Main Assassin's Biggest Weakness

This will drain the pool dry.

  • Speak To Suttungr
  • Find And Get The Mead

Inform Suttungr that the guests have had all of their mead and he will order the vault opened.

After you enter, Gunlodr will find you. You can begin Havi's only available romance now, though you will be breaking her heart fairly shortly. If you would like to complete this romance on better terms, return to Jotunheim and find her after these quests have been completed for another round of romance.

  • Reach The Well Of Mimir

A boss fight will commence with Suttungr the instant you leave the vault. Look for weak points on his belt buckle and his knees to make him tumble if you're a good shot. Otherwise, he attacks in flurries but will fall down and stumble precariously after his combos are completed, making him vulnerable to attack. Finally, he will summon ice from the skies that can't be dodged, but you won't be hit if you stand in the orange circles by the various braziers.

Defeating him and going toward the well of Mimir will advance you to the final stage of the questline.

The Price Of Wisdom

  • Defeat Loki

Back-to-back boss fights! Loki seems complicated until you understand how he works, then he falls apart. If you continually dodge his ranged and melee attacks , he will teleport and appear to be walking away with his sword over his shoulder. This is supposed to trick you into running at him, but don't fall for that. Instead, shoot him as he strolls with arrows.

  • Leave Jotunheim

Go into the cave, watch a disturbing cutscene, then exit out the same way that you came and you'll be all done with Jotunheim! Come back anytime you'd like through the seer's potions.

How many NBA Finals sweeps in history? Celtics could add to history with win over Mavericks

The Boston Celtics survived a fourth-quarter comeback attempt by the Dallas Mavericks on June 12 to win game 3 of the NBA Finals and now lead the series 3-0.

Both teams now have a chance to write history. Here’s what you need to know.

How many sweeps have there been in NBA finals history?

NBA Finals sweeps are rare, but not unheard of. Since the first NBA Finals in 1950, there have been nine 4-0 sweeps. The last team to accomplish this feat was the Golden State Warriors in 2018. With a stacked roster that included the likes of Steph Curry and Kevin Durant, the Warriors made quick work of the Cleveland Cavaliers, defeating LeBron James’ side in just four games to win back-to-back NBA Championships.

The only other sweeps in the 21st century occurred in 2007, when the San Antonio Spurs routed the Cavaliers, and 2002, when Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal led the Los Angeles Lakers to a 4-0 romp over the New Jersey Nets to cap their three-peat.

If Boston clinches the Game 4 win Friday, the Celtics will join the Warriors as the only other team to have recorded two NBA Finals sweeps. Boston recorded the first Finals sweep in NBA history against the Minneapolis Lakers in 1959.

Has any NBA team come back from 3-0 in the Finals?

In the 74-year history of the NBA, not a single team has come back from a 3-0 deficit to win the best-of-seven series. If the Dallas Mavericks can win the next four games, they will secure their place in history with the strongest NBA Finals comeback ever.

All time in the NBA playoffs, teams are 0-156 in a series in which they are down 3-0.

What is the greatest comeback in NBA Finals history?

This accolade belongs to LeBron James’ 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers, who got their ultimate revenge against the Warriors after falling to them in the 2015 Finals the previous year.

After falling into a 3-1 deficit in the first four games of the 2016 NBA Finals, the Cavaliers came back to win the last three games – including two on the road – against the Golden State Warriors. Cleveland remains the only team to have recovered from a 3-1 score line in the Finals.

Which team has won the most NBA Championships?

The Boston Celtics and the Minneapolis/Los Angeles Lakers have both won 17 NBA championships. If Boston wins the 2024 NBA Finals, the Celtics will become the most decorated team in the NBA with 18 championships to their name.

Game 4 is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. ET on Friday in Dallas.

Hendrix Lapierre wants to win in Hershey — and then never go back

“He understands that he’s still a young guy, but he’s one of our leaders,” Hershey Bears Coach Todd Nelson said of Lapierre. “He has to relish the fact that he’s going to be the go-to guy.”

how to travel back to jotunheim

HERSHEY, Pa. — Hendrix Lapierre hopes to never do this again.

Once he finishes his second playoff run with the Hershey Bears, Washington’s American Hockey League affiliate, the only time Lapierre wants to be at Giant Center is to see the banner raised from what the Bears hope will be a second consecutive Calder Cup championship.

Last season, Lapierre scored the goal that forced overtime in Game 7 of the finals against Coachella Valley . It was his third goal and sixth point in 20 playoff games. This time around, as the Bears prepare for a rematch against the Firebirds that begins Friday in Hershey, Lapierre is tied for the league lead in postseason scoring, with 15 points in 14 games.

The Capitals sent Lapierre back to Hershey for these playoffs because they wanted him to produce. Lapierre has welcomed the challenge, and while he tries not to think about it too much, he knows that living up to Washington’s expectations now would probably be his ticket to staying with the Capitals — and not returning to Hershey — come fall.

“I would like to see offense down there,” Washington General Manager Brian MacLellan said after the Capitals’ season ended. “It appeared to me that he got a little more confident here as we went on. … Going down there, with some confidence, knowing that he could do it at this level, I would hopefully like to see him score some goals and make some great plays and help that team in the playoffs.”

That’s exactly what Lapierre has done.

“I feel different than I’ve ever felt before,” Lapierre said, “and I embrace the challenge.”

A risk for Washington

When the Capitals drafted Lapierre with the 22nd pick in the 2020 draft — after trading up two spots — there was real risk associated with the selection. Lapierre played just 19 games in his draft season, and it wasn’t because of the coronavirus pandemic that shut down junior hockey in March 2020.

Multiple injuries, first thought to be concussions before Lapierre was diagnosed with a neck injury that was causing his symptoms, put his future in doubt as he headed toward the draft. He was medically cleared in April 2020 after his final injury in November 2019, but because of the pandemic, he didn’t return to game action until just four days before the draft that October.

“When my junior career ended, I wasn’t really satisfied with what I did,” Lapierre told The Washington Post last month. “I didn’t play many games, and I wasn’t as good as I wanted to be. But I like to think that everything happens for a reason. I’ve learned from that. I feel really good now. I learned to take care of my body and stuff.

“I do think about the draft sometimes and how it all played out. How the Caps kind of, at the time, took a chance on me. I want them to obviously feel good about that pick.”

Four years later, Lapierre is on the verge of being a full-time NHL player . His 51 games in Washington this season were partially driven by the Capitals’ needs, especially after Nicklas Backstrom stepped away in November and Evgeny Kuznetsov was traded in March , but Lapierre showed flashes of being an impactful, play-driving center who can be a key cog of Washington’s future.

His goal in Game 4 of Washington’s first-round Stanley Cup playoff series against the New York Rangers was a highlight-reel moment, and the skills that enabled him to pull it off — speed, confidence and high-end ability with the puck — are the core attributes that will carry him in the NHL.

LAPPY'S FIRST CAREER POSTSEASON GOAL IS AN ABSOLUTE STUNNER pic.twitter.com/i76ExhhZMX — Washington Capitals (@Capitals) April 29, 2024

‘He’s one of our leaders’

In Lapierre’s first game back with the Bears, just three days after Washington was eliminated, he scored a goal less than four minutes in. The next game, it was a goal, an assist and a plus-3 rating at the end of the night. Hershey has a veteran-laden lineup, but even at just 22 years old, Lapierre has established himself as one of the Bears’ top players — and is becoming a leader within the team.

“He’s producing for us right now. That was an expectation,” Bears Coach Todd Nelson said after the first game of the Eastern Conference finals. “We expected that. The organization expected that from him. He understands that he’s still a young guy, but he’s one of our leaders. He has to relish the fact that he’s going to be the go-to guy.”

Lapierre scored one goal and racked up six assists in a seven-game grind against Cleveland in the Eastern Conference finals. The goal, which came in the first game of the series, again showed off his speed, skill and confidence with the puck — and his determination to be the player who makes a difference.

Lappy does it all on his own with the man advantage! https://t.co/HiWrGH8tGN pic.twitter.com/v0psyibyvq — Hershey Bears (@TheHersheyBears) May 31, 2024

“He’s special,” Hershey forward Mike Vecchione said. “Just wheels the puck and skates by guys. I think he caught the goalie a little off guard with that shot, snuck it five-hole. You can just see the way skates with the puck. He’s cutting, making guys move one way or the other, and he’s just buzzing by them. If he can continue to do that, it’s going to obviously put a lot of eyes on him.”

Added center Garrett Roe: “He’s just kind of driving it. Everyone sees what kind of player he is. He’s driving the game and continuing to play with his speed. His speed is his biggest asset, and then he’s got that confidence right now.”

Last season, Lapierre wanted to make an impact but knew that, as a rookie, his main focus was to learn the league and settle in. This season, his mentality has changed.

No longer content with just not making mistakes, he wants to be the player who drives Hershey to another Calder Cup — then graduate to the Capitals and not look back.

“I want to be the difference-maker,” Lapierre said. “I want to help the team win as much as I can. … I love it here in Hershey, but obviously my goal is for this time to be the last time I’m here. I want to make the most of it. I want us to go all the way. I want us to have success. It’s been a fun couple years, and I really enjoy every second here, but I want to make the jump.”

How does Benjamin Sesko’s decision to stay at RB Leipzig affect Arsenal’s transfer plans?

AUGSBURG, GERMANY - FEBRUARY 10: Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig looks dejected with FC Augsburg players celebrating the teams second goal during the Bundesliga match between FC Augsburg and RB Leipzig at WWK-Arena on February 10, 2024 in Augsburg, Germany. (Photo by Sebastian Widmann/Getty Images)

Benjamin Sesko will sign a new contract with RB Leipzig , meaning Arsenal will not sign their first-choice attacking target this summer — but there is no sense of despondency at the club.

In recent years, Arsenal have reacted well to such setbacks, revising their strategy or pivoting to alternative options.

Here, The Athletic outlines Sesko’s decision, how Arsenal have responded, and what comes next.

What happened with Sesko?

By the time the window opened, Arsenal felt they had done enough to establish themselves as Sesko’s preferred destination — if he were to leave Leipzig .

But that view was shared by other English clubs competing for his signature. Manchester United , Chelsea , Liverpool and Newcastle United had all expressed interest in the Slovenia international.

Why Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, Newcastle and more want Benjamin Sesko

While Arsenal, through sporting director Edu, believed they had made a compelling proposition to Sesko, they were always aware there was a good chance the striker would choose to renew with Leipzig.

Sesko is 21 and his career has been carefully managed. Playing time is invaluable at this point in his development. By remaining with Leipzig — the announcement of a new contract is expected to come today (Wednesday) — Sesko will continue to grow in a familiar environment.

how to travel back to jotunheim

He will sign a one-year extension, thus removing the €65million (£54.8m, $70m) release clause in his contract.

Sesko’s salary will receive an uplift too — although it will still fall some way short of the sums offered by Premier League teams.

He has a great relationship with the staff at Leipzig and the wider Red Bull group. There is not expected to be another release clause in the new contract. Instead, there is a mutual understanding that when the right project arrives for Sesko, he will be permitted to leave for a fair price.

Arsenal are not too perturbed by Sesko’s decision to stay in Germany. They knew it was a strong possibility. In some respects, the timing of his eventual departure may work better for them in the long term.

The form of Kai Havertz in the second half of last season made the acquisition of a new centre-forward less urgent. The possibility of signing Sesko, however, was an excellent market opportunity: the chance to land a long-term target at an affordable price before his value explodes.

Arsenal have a stable squad, with several existing options in the centre-forward position, so there is no sense of panic. With Sesko off the table, it’s not certain they will immediately pivot to an alternative No 9. Arsenal had followed Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon, but that interest appeared to cool as they focused on Sesko. Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna has been linked, but Arsenal do not intend to pursue the 23-year-old Dutchman.

It may be that Arsenal shift their focus to strengthening other areas of the squad.

Zirkzee

Will they come back in for Sesko?

That could be an option that suits Arsenal. Waiting 12 months would allow them to clarify the futures of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah , as well as give them more time to determine the efficacy of using Havertz as a centre-forward.

Arsenal have built a strong relationship with Sesko’s camp over several years so, theoretically, they would be well-positioned to reignite their interest next summer.

There’s an acceptance, however, that the landscape could shift dramatically in the next year. Manchester United and Chelsea could be at very different stages of their project, and thus be more attractive destinations. With no formal release clause, it’s also possible a good season could lead to Sesko’s price skyrocketing. There is no guarantee Arsenal will still be the clear choice in 12 months.

What next for Arsenal?

The club are expected to shift to strengthening their midfield. They need a player to complement Declan Rice , and now potentially have greater resources to allocate to that search.

The Athletic has reported their interest in Martin Zubimendi of Real Sociedad and Joao Neves of Benfica . Arsenal are also open to adding a more attack-minded midfield player. Although, in a difficult market, it’s not yet clear who their primary targets would be.

Arsenal also need to make some headway with player sales. The club were disappointed with what they managed to recoup during last summer’s window. They are trying to sell a similar same set of players but offers for Kieran Tierney , Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga are unlikely to surpass what was proposed last year.

It leaves Arsenal in an awkward position. If they accept a low fee for a player early in the summer, or sanction a loan, it sets a bar for other interested clubs.

Ideally, Arsenal would like to start their outgoings with a strong sale for a good fee — but that will be determined by the level of interest in the market.
