We did the Dragon Legend One cruise. We had an amazing experience from start to end, the boat itself is very comfortable, our cabin was great. The food was abundant and of a good quality standard. Also, we very much appreciated the Green Ha Long initiative. We love the ocean and getting such an initiative started here is certainly a challenge. Good on you!

What a wonderful experience in Bai Tu Long Bay. Wonderful itinerary planned and executed by the team. We even got a surprise honeymoon cake! Glass water bottles and the Green Ha Long Bay initiative is also a plus! The lunch and dinner was top notch dining experience. The rooms were big and 6 star quality. Awesome cruise!

My friend and I took the 2D1N on Dragon Legend 02. Our guide Smiley and Milky Man were very kind and helpful! We enjoyed the clean cabins, beautiful views, delicious food and great hospitality from all the staff. Indochina Junk is the only GREEN-CERTIFIED junk boat service. Halong Bay has a lot of trash and is full of tourism. They did a very good work on protecting the bay. Would highly recommend!

The trip to Halong Bay with Indochina Junk has been amazing from the beginning to the end. What I liked about the cruise company is their efforts in going green and supporting local communities. Love every moment on Dragon Legend cruise. The food was exceptionally stunning with a lot of fresh seafood and Vietnamese cuisines. The crew kept us entertained with sunset party, cooking class, and other games in the evening. The kayaking trip was also typical and exciting. Generally, our trip to Bai Tu Long Bay was very informative. Thank the team so much!

The cabins are spacious and comfortable with a large balcony viewing the immense bay. I felt satisfied with most activities on the cruise and offshore except for the stop at a gift shop on the way out. We did not really need to buy anything. Btw, a water puppet show on our way back to Hanoi was very fascinating.

Cruise itinerary

At 8:00 am, be picked up by our luxury van to depart for Bai Tu Long Bay. Arrive at noon and check in. 

Check-in, enjoy welcome drink & cruise briefing. After check in, have lunch while cruising to magnificent BaiTu Long Bay; admire the fascinating formations on the way. The first stop is at Thien Canh Son Cave. After that, cruise to Hon Co Island to kayak or swim in the emerald water.

Get back to junk for refreshing before having dinner. After dinner, you have free time to fish squid, watch movies, socialize with other guests, or relax in the room. Overnight on board.

Wake up and enjoy free tea/coffee and have breakfast. Visit Vung Vieng Fishing Village - one of the most ancient villages in Bai Tu Long area. You will expereince a sampan boart rowed by a local and watch the local life of fisherman. At 10:00am, check out and enjoy buffet brunch while the ship cruises back to the harbor.

Disembark and drive back. Arrive in Hanoi at about 3:00 pm. Trip ends.

Pick up from your hotel (transfer not included in cabin price). Enjoy the 3 hour drive through the scenic countryside leading Hanoi to Halong Bay.

Embark at Halong International Cruise Port. Check in and enjoy welcome drink, have lunch as the cruise starts sailing. At about 3:30pm, visit Vung Vieng Fishing Village by a rowing boat. You can see floating houses and farm, and learn about the tough life of local people on the bay.

Get back to the cruise to freshen up and watch the amazing sunset from the top deck. Have dinner and overnight in Bai Tu Long area.

Have dinner and overnight on board. There are plenty of evening activities such as massage service, squid fishing, board games for you to enjoy.

Wake up for tea and coffee as you say goodbye to the Bay. Have breakfast on board. Visit Thien Canh Son Cave with stunning stalactites and stalagmites. At 10:00, check out the cabin and enjoy a hearty brunch in the dining area while cruising back to Halong Cruise Port. Disembark at around 11:30.

Dear Catherine, We can help book shuttle bus Hanoi-Halong (pick-up at hotels in Hanoi Old Quarter) and local bus Halong-Ninh Binh (drop-off at accommodations in Ninh Binh between 15:30 and 16:00) for your cruise trip at the cost of 38USD/per person/both ways. We require a 30~50% deposit to secure the booking and the balance payment can be completed closer to the travel date (3 days before arrival). Wow what an experiance. It was extremely well organised the room food and the activities were first class. I would highly reccomend this as a must do when you visit Vietnam. We did the 2 day 1 night and I whish we had done the 3 day 2 night.

Amazing! First class service.

From the pick up at the hotel by our friendly, competent (and safe) driver, to Smiley our lead guide on the boat and all the boats crew the service and friendly smiles were wonderful. We did the 3 night tour (2 nights on the Dragon Legend and 1 night added on in Ninh Binh) and every part of it was spectacular. The boat is beautiful, the food is incredible and the activities like kayaking are well organised and fun. We then went to Ninh Binh in our private transport and had a days private tour which was also fabulous. We are a family with 2 kids (13 & 10)and we all enjoyed it, I never felt unsafe or unhappy we were made to feel at ease and looked after so well the whole itme. This is my second time with Indochina junk and they did not dissapoint. They are the leaders of Ha Long bay boats and I would not go with anyone else. They are also taking environmental repsonsibility and are part of cleaning up Ha Long Bay, unfortunatley there is still much rubbish and work to be done across Vietnam but at least this is a company openly addressing some of it.

Absolutely fantastic! I cannot say enough about the Dragon Legend cruise. Do not be scared away if you have babies either!! My husband and I went with our 1 year old daughter and had a blast. The company provided a car seat for the drive, crib in our cabin, high chair at meals, and so much more! The chef prepared a special dinner early for her so she could get to bed on time and we could enjoy adult dinner with our baby monitor! Woo hoo!! The cabin was incredible with big bed, big windows, and a huge tub. The scenery in Ha Long Bay was BREATHTAKING! We loved the BBQ on the beach. We decided not to kayak and relax on the boat (at the end of a two week trip and were ready for some downtime). I would definitely suggest 2 nights!!! The food was delicious. The staff was great. Worth every penny!a
