Unprofessional

This is a very unprofessional podcast. For a guest, on the episode on the World Cruise, to state that maybe there could be a murderer during the cruise and be excited about it is wrong. What's even worse is for the host to allow it.

Hello everyone... Let me tell you a little about myself. I am known on many Cruise related message boards as Radio... it's an easy name to remember. There are lots of GREAT Cruise Boards on the internet, like Cruise Critic, Cruise Mates, and CrownCast.

I don't have a broadcast or Radio job, but more on that later.  

I used to be the Store Manager of an electronics store (back in the 80´s). I happened to win a contest (early 90´s), and was awarded a Cruise for 2 on the brand new Carnival Fantasy....

I was in heaven. I loved the ship. It was a brand new vessel!     I loved the food. I loved the atmosphere of being on a Cruise Ship. The ports did not matter to me... I just wanted to be on the ship! There is something about a Cruise Ship, that make me really want to sail. Maybe it's the Nautical "feel", or maybe it's just the freedom.

That was in 1991... Since then, I have sailed on over 50 cruises. My wife has sailed with me on most of those cruises. My kids have sailed on many of those as well.

Recently, I have been known to "fly solo" on Cruises. Mrs. Radio still joins me at least once or twice per year, and my kids Dana and Julie have been recently married to 2 great son in laws. I really want to take them all with me on a Cruise very soon.

I can’t wait to get them all on a cruise again. . . It will be great for me to see the twinkle in my new Grandson’s eye when he boards a Cruise Ship for the first time.

I often do "LIVE" Trip reports while cruising, which are different than most. Many passengers offer reviews or trip reports, but my trip reports also include daily photos of the ship, cabins, ports.

I also include daily commentary, and answers to many questions. It is not hard for me to do... It is what I love to do. As a matter of fact, I can't think of anything that I would l love more. Oh Yeah... Why does everyone call me Radio?

People ask me that question often. I used to be a Store Manager at a Radio Shack store. We were given complimentary AOL accounts, and we had to come up with a screen name... This was my first AOL account and my screen name turned out to be... well you know.

I guess if you asked me what my favorite Cruise Line was. . . I would have to tell you it is Royal Caribbean International. I seemed to have been cruising their ships with the most frequency.

I have sailed with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess, Carnival, Holland America, and Norwegian Cruise Line. I like a lot of things about every Cruise Line!

If you asked me what Cruise was my favorite cruise. . .  I would tell you that my NEXT cruise will be my favorite cruise ! I hope you enjoy the photos, videos, and trip reports. I loved creating them! Mrs. Radio says that I am obsessed with Cruise Ships, and Cruising.

Hmmm. . .  She might be right ! I hope to meet you on board a ship some day.....

Cruise ship worker accused of stabbing 3 people with scissors on board vessel bound for Alaska

JUNEAU, Alaska — (AP) — A cruise ship worker from South Africa was arrested Tuesday in Alaska's capital city, accused of attacking a woman and two security guards with scissors on board the vessel, according to authorities.

The U.S. attorney's office says the man is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon within maritime and territorial jurisdiction. Online court records do not show an attorney for the 35-year-old man.

According to an affidavit from FBI Special Agent Matthew Judy, the man was recently hired by a cruise line and joined the ship, the Norwegian Encore, in Seattle on Sunday. The ship set off that day for a weeklong trip with scheduled stops in Alaska ports, including the capital of Juneau, and British Columbia.

The alleged incident happened west of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, as the ship was sailing to Alaska. According to the affidavit, during the 'late evening" Sunday, ship personnel saw the man trying to deploy a lifeboat, and he was taken by security to a medical center for an evaluation.

While there, he “became irrational and attempted to leave,” and “physically attacked” a guard and a nurse, the affidavit states. He ran into another room, where he grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed a woman who was being examined, as well as two guards who tried to intervene before being subdued and held in a “shipboard jail,” the affidavit says. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.

The ship arrived in Juneau on Tuesday, when he was arrested by the FBI, the U.S. attorney's office says.

Kentucky Derby radio station 2024: Channel, live streams to listen to Triple Crown race broadcast

A milestone edition of one of the best events in all of sports, the Kentucky Derby, is set for Saturday afternoon.

This year's Kentucky Derby marks the 150th iteration of the storied race at Churchill Downs. Fierceness, who recently won the 2024 Florida Derby, currently stands as the favorite to win the Kentucky Derby. Other contenders include Sierra Leone, Forever Young, Catching Freedom and Just a Touch.

Last year's winner, Mage, has since retired, meaning there will not be a repeat champion at this year's event. The total purse is $5 million to be distributed to the top five finishers.
