Take a guided nature tour with Cocoa Beach Kayaking – visit with and learn about the endangered Florida manatees, the Indian River Lagoon bottlenose dolphins, native and migratory birds, and so much more. You won't experience all of this in one place anywhere other than Cocoa Beach, Florida. Kayaking experience is not necessary. We paddle at a leisurely pace through the canals and islands and give you instructions before we ever leave dry land. The tours last 1 1/2 to 2 hours and are all-inclusive. All you need to bring is yourself and a camera, we'll provide everything else.

Jess led us on a great tour of the Mangrove coves. We saw several Manatee, dolphin and unique large birds. I recommend this tour to anyone. The paddling is easy and stress free. It was nice to get away from the sounds of technology for a while and experience the environment.

Cocoa Beach Nature Boat Tour

This daily two-hour excursion is the best value around. We depart from 499 Ramp Road in Cocoa Beach, the boat comes to pick you up. This 2 hour tour consists of a slow ride through the Thousand Island nature preserve. We explore the Banana River Lagoon. During the tour we generally see all different types of wildlife in the canals. Manatees, Dolphins, Birds, and beautiful vegetation are just some of the highlights on our tour in Cocoa Beach. The Captain and mates narrate sharing their knowledge of the diverse area. The routes vary depending on the weather and animals.

The quiet motor catamaran with comfortable wrap around seating allows passengers to move around for optimal viewing and to interact with the crew and other passengers. The stability of the boat provides an excellent platform for photographing wildlife. The sun cover and on-board restroom add to customer comfort and relaxation. We provide free soft drinks and water. There are some binoculars for your use. Adults usually appreciate that our tours are educational and informative and just plain fun. Kids love the surprises we have for them.

We have free water and soda on board; however, you may bring snacks or anything else that you would like to drink.

Private Charters

We of course have some beverages on board, but you are welcome to bring your own. Food is welcome too but should be finger or lap style.  Call with your special request and we’ll work to make it happen. Cost is $650 for up to 26 people for two hours. $150 for each additional hour. Charter the whole boat with a Captain and crew for:

Cancellation Policy

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Should you need to cancel your reservation or change the number of people in your party, please allow us at least 24 hours’ notice.  If you cancel or change your group size within 24 hours of your scheduled tour time, or do not show up for your tour, you will be charged the full price for the tour. If purchasing in advance, we will gladly refund you as long as you cancel or make adjustments to your reservation at least 24 hours before your tour. In the event that we need to cancel your tour due to weather, you will not be charged.

About Captain Andrea

The founder and owner of Marina Princess Island Boat Tours LLC , Andrea Harrison, was born and raised in Bloomfield, New Jersey. She’s a licensed USCG master captain, with over 20 years boating experience. In New Jersey, Andrea fulfilled a 30-year career, as the founder and owner, of a performing arts school. After moving to Florida, Captain Andrea, is living her best life as continuing her love for being on the water and doing exactly what she always dreamed of doing- owning a small and personal boat tour business, for you, your family and friends to enjoy!

At Cocoa Kayaking, we’re passionate about bringing you unforgettable experiences on Florida’s beautiful waterways! Bioluminescence Dinoflagellates, that magical natural phenomenon, has a specific season along the Space Coast of Florida. Typically, it dazzles our waters during the warmer months, from as early as May through as late as October. Our Bioluminescent Comb Jellies, while we refer to them as jellyfish, are not technically jellyfish and don’t sting! These prehistoric comb jellies have been around for over 500 million years. By using their glowing bioluminescent nerves, they protect themselves by keeping other predators away. These amazing jellies are typically around the months of October through March, but can sometimes hang out through the summer bioluminescent season if their cold currents allow. During this magical time, the waters come alive with the mesmerizing glow of bioluminescent comb jellies and dinoflagellate organisms, creating a breathtaking spectacle. We understand that many of you have been  eagerly  anticipating our bioluminescence tours, and we appreciate your enthusiasm!! Cocoa Kayaking tours are a way for family members of all ages to enjoy the ocean and its waterways comfortably and efficiently. As we paddle, we travel across Florida’s unbelievable and indescribable scenery. It’s an experience that you simply cannot get anywhere else!

Beginners to advanced-level paddlers are welcome. No kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding experience is needed. We give you instructions on paddling and safety while on dry land before we head out into the water. If you need additional assistance once in the water, we paddle at a leisurely pace and help instruct you through the tour.

At Cocoa Kayaking, we limit our group sizes to guarantee that our tours are of the very highest quality. We provide kayaks or stand-up paddleboards, paddles, and life jackets. We had such a great time, we had people new to kayaking and those with more experience and everyone seemed to have an equally great time. The tour was informational, relaxing and fun and the sunset was stunning but those glowing little jellyfish made you marvel at the beauty of nature. Everyone agreed it was money well spent and we'll do it again.

Had a blast doing the wild life refuge with Cocoa Kayaking. Friendly staff, lots of animals and a great time on the water. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get out of the house and see some real Florida backcountry wildlife such as dolphins, manatees, birds, and the occasional gator if you're lucky. Will be back again, thanks for the great trip!

James was a friendly and laid back tour guide that took time with us as beginners and pointed out all the neat things to see during the tour. We had a great experience seeing manatees, mangrove crabs, birds, and we got some fun pictures along the way. The company was very helpful with updates and was easy to book and communicate with.

If you're looking for a fun weekend activity check out Cocoa Kayaking! Family friendly and so much fun. Guides are knowledgeable of the local eco system and it's so peaceful out on the water. I took my daughter on the Bioluminescence tour and we loved it! Cocoa Kayaking makes it extra fun by providing glowsticks and water shooters. Well definitely be back soon as we had so much fun!

The eco tour was a perfect activity on the 2nd day of our trip. It's hot and sometimes in full sun, so wear your hat and sunscreen! There are drinks on board. Plenty of educational information to learn and many sights to see. The Captain and guide were very friendly. The best part was relaxing in the shade enjoying the breeze and rock of the boat. Id go again just for the boat ride.

Booked a tour online with Wildside after 10pm the night before a noon tour the next day. That process was efficient, smooth, and just the beginning of a wonderful experience for me, my spouse, and my mother and father-in-law. The two women who led the tour were knowledgeable and sensitive to the needs of the group. They offered binoculars, free water and soda, and let us bring our own food and drink as well. The boat was good sized, covered with a canopy, and for this landlubber, felt safe and comfortable! One of the reasons we chose this tour was their respect for the natural world, giving animals their space and not using any gimmicks to attract them to make a buck. And we lucked out. Saw manatees, brown pelicans, cormorants, a herron, snake birds/anhingas and a number of very entertaining dolphins! Our guides were great at pointing out birds and the manatees that we would have missed on our own. One had grown up in the area and was personable and knowledgeable. As a former pre-school teacher, she also charmed a cranky little one on the way back. This tour was one of the highlights of our Cocoa Beach trip. Thank you so much, Wildside!! Highly recommend!!

Awesome staff,friendly,helpful.Really enjoyed the tour.They provided Binoculars and gave a great narrative.

A gentle little boat ride for kids/senior citizens down the banana river. Had tickets for a tour on 7-30-21. Adults are $35 and kids are $25. They allow outside food and drinks and also they provide complimentary soda and water. The boat has a big canopy for shade, tall railings, and cushioned seats. There is an emergency bathroom on board. The boat was very clean. No masks or social distancing. The boat ride was 2 hours long and of course it was sweltering outside on a sunny Florida July day. We saw the tail of a manatee, two dolphins, a heron, a couple of snake birds, and an egret. They took us up a canal lined with private homes which felt intrusive. The poor people who live here have to deal with strangers parading by their home and peeking in their windows every day. The tour guide spent most of the tour entertaining the children on board. He gave them all binoculars, gave them mangrove pods, let them pick out seashells, and spent a lot of time talking to them. The children were running wild all over the boat...two were crying half the time. One stepped on my foot and another knocked over my cooler. There was no way to focus on the wildlife with this circus going on. I was so bored with the tour and annoyed with the kids that I was happy when he said we were heading back. If you have old folks or kids to entertain I'd say go for it.

GREAT experience. It's $35/person with some well-trained staff of the birds, fish, plants, and everything Cocoa Beach, FL! The owner (?) called us 24 hrs beforehand warning us of possible storms and informed us that they'd refund and/or reschedule! We ended up being able to go the next morning, they cut the tour early due to lightening and the staff STILL offered us a refund! That was very nice. However, we didn't see gators, crocodiles, or manatees but they did educate us a loooot on the many different birds and fish we saw. 100% recommend!

We enjoyed our boat ride very much! We saw many species of birds, manatees and dolphins. Our tour guide Speedy, was quick to point out things that we would have normally missed. He was funny and engaging with all of the passengers. Our captain Tonya, was on the lookout for dolphins and manatees. This was a great time and I would definitely take it again! Thank you so much for all the knowledge that you gave us!

This was an excellent tour for our family ages 55 to 9 years old. Speedy and Jeanette are both so knowledgeable about the birds, plants and fish on the Banana River. They are excellent with children and share their knowledge as they show their tour guests manatees, dolphins, birds and fish. We had an excellent time and highly recommend to everyone of all ages.

I cannot recommend this tour enough! My friend and I found this last minute and booked a trip before we were flying home. This was hands down the best part of our entire trip. Our tour was led by two ladies who knew so much about the area and you could tell they genuinely loved showing it to people. I saw other reviews that said it seemed intrusive but it's also an area that is frequented by kayakers, boaters, and fishers so that isn't true at all. Also, the best part is that they focus on not disturbing the animals in their habitat. That alone made this tour worth it. We were able to enjoy the animals but on their own whim, not us antagonizing them.

Great tour. Very friendly atmosphere. Loved seeing the dolphins and manatees. A must.
