A midi coach that doesn’t just fulfil the tasks it’s set but makes that all important difference. It is compact and manoeuvrable, resulting in it being amazingly economical in operation. Additionally, thanks to our chassis partner, Mercedes-Benz, the Voyager GT has increased its fuel consumption even further, as well benefiting from reduced noise levels and a smoother driveline.
As you would come to expect from UNVI, the Voyager GT is built to exacting standards. At less than 9 meters long but with large amounts useable luggage space, even in its 34 seat version.
The Voyager GT can be powered by a 7.7-litre Mercedes-Benz six-cylinder engine which a maximum torque figure of 1000Nm. Alternatively, the 4-cylinder Mercedes- Benz engine is available with a choice of power ratings, from 177hp to 231hp, each designed for minimum fuel use and a long life with unsurpassed reliability. All power meets stringent Euro VI emissions standard, helping you to future-proof your business. For coach operators who require something a little more unique, with their expertise and experience, UNVI can create a bespoke Voyager GT interior, tailored to meet the most demanding of individual requirements.
- Flexibility
Travelling in a VOYAGER GT is synonymous with discovering maximum comfort. Its reduced sound levels and excellent air conditioning system create a very pleasant setting while its spacious interior makes any journey even more comfortable. This model also incorporates various levels and it is possible to choose from different types of seats; seats can be equipped with modern multimedia systems if the client wishes. At UNVI, we guarantee every passenger will be satisfied by the VOYAGER GT, however demanding they may be.
This midibus model has a door for the exclusive use of the driver and a multifunction, intuitive dashboard that is easy to handle and control, ensuring that the driver can concentrate fully on driving and the traffic. Exterior vision is excellent thanks to the wing mirrors. The practical glove compartments can be used to store documents and other objects.
The luggage capacity of the VOYAGER GT adapts to the number of seats and space between them with two boot options; the large boot version has 30 passenger seats, a driver’s seat and a volume of almost five cubic metres, while the second version has a 34-seat capacity plus the driver. Furthermore, this model has side storage compartments. All storage spaces of the VOYAGER GT stand out for being practical and easy to clean.

UNVI seeing success with higher-power Ategos
Chassis has ‘improved greatly’ from original form, but rear-engined option is now back in focus
UNVI Bus and Coach reports that buyer interest in the six-cylinder engine option added to its Mercedes-Benz Atego-based Voyager GT midicoach has been strong.
Previously available only with the 5.1-litre OM 934, the UK and Ireland supplier recently added the six-cylinder, 7.7-litre OM 936 as an option.
MD David McKinless says that while more enquiries are being received for vehicles with the larger engine, the OM 934 will remain available.
It’s planned that higher-specification Voyager GTs will come with the OM 936 rated at 238bhp coupled to a six-speed Powershift automated manual transmission.
Others will retain the OM 934 developing 211bhp driving through a six-speed manual gearbox. Torque outputs are 1,000Nm and 850Nm respectively.
“The Atego has improved greatly from when it was launched at Euro 6 and the six-cylinder engine is superb,” says Mr McKinless.
He adds that the 15,000kg GVW Atego-based Touring GT is seeing significant interest in its 270bhp option. At that rating, the OM 936 develops 1,100Nm of torque and it also comes as standard with an eight-speed Powershift gearbox.
UNVI Bus and Coach is also looking once again at offering an MAN-based rear-engined variant of the Touring GT. “Pursuing a rear-engined option is back on the roadmap. That vehicle will replicate the Atego-based Touring GT in every area except for the engine location,” says Mr McKinless. “Our ambition is for it to have the same glazing and panels.”
The rear-engined coach will be available in mid-sized form only and be based on the MAN RR2 chassis. No date has yet been given for its debut.

The Unvi Voyager GT uses the 10.5 tonne GVW 4.820m wheelbase Mercedes-Benz Atego 1023L chassis powered by the 5.1-litre Mercedes-Benz OM934, four-cylinder engine. This is turbocharged and intercooled and meets Euro6 emission standards using AdBlue. The standard engine rating is 231bhp and the maximum torque is 900Nm across a very wide speed range.
The Voyager GT inspected was a standard UNVI model built using the 4820mm wheelbase Mercedes-Benz Atego 1024L chassis with forward mounted diesel engine. It is seated at 30 including courier and has a GVW of 10.5 tonnes.. It can also be seated up to 34 including courier seat.
