I first bought this bag (back when there were 2 sizes) in 2018. I had their hammocks (since 2012) and wanted to try out a reusable bag from them - now 1-2 of them live in my purse at all times and I use them all-the-time. There is no fuss with respect to getting them packed back into the attached bag and they are strong. I have LOADED them up at the grocery store and have not had one rip or tear. I have bought many since 2018 and given them as gifts and recently (2023) made an order for an additional 24 bags because it appears like they will not be stocked anymore and I had to stock up. If you've hesitated, DON'T - get you a couple and stash them everywhere before they are gone!

Great tote. No more waste at the grocery store. I really like how small it packs up too!

I ordered the Trek tote bag recently. I never thought I'd have to actually put it to a test, but my husband was admitted to the hospital last week and the amount of stuff I had to remove at the end of his stay was ridiculous. The tote must have been pushed to its limits, but I schlepped that thing back from ther hospital holding clothing, a computer, and so much paraphernalia. Well done indeed.

• Species 10-C in Discovery season 4 remains a mystery with their fate left unresolved by Star Trek: Discovery season 5 finale.

The USS Discovery battled the Breen in Star Trek: Discovery 's series finale, and the fight ended with a shoutout to Discovery season 4. Throughout Star Trek : Discovery's season 5, Captain Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and her crew have been searching for the powerful and potentially dangerous technology of the Progenitors. Thanks to renegade courier Moll (Eve Harlow), the Breen learned of this treasure and also wanted to get their hands on it. This conflict came to a head in Star Trek: Discovery's series finale, as the titular ship went head-to-head against a Breen dreadnought to reach the portal to the Progenitors' technology.

Although the Breen dreadnought was damaged at the end of Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 9, "Lagrange Point", the massive ship sends out a wave of fighters. The USS Discovery cannot hold off the fighters and get the Progenitors' portal at the same time, so Cleveland Booker (David Ajala) and Dr. Hugh Culber (Wilson Cruz) take a shuttle to rescue Burnham from the portal. In command of Discovery, Captain Rayner (Callum Keith Rennie) leads the charge against the fighters, eventually taking them all out thanks to Lt. Syliva Tilly's (Mary Wiseman) quick thinking. Unfortunately, the Breen dreadnought reenters the fight and far surpasses Discovery's firepower. But Rayner quickly proves Tilly's not the only quick thinker, as he comes up with a crazy plan of his own.

Written by Kyle Jarrow and Michelle Paradise and directed by Olatunde Osunname, Star Trek: Discovery's finale, "Life, Itself," wrapped up the Breen's conflict with the Federation, but still left many unanswered questions.

Star Trek: Discovery comes to an end with season 5's finale wrapping up the Progenitors treasure hunt and an epilogue concluding the entire series.

USS Discovery Beating The Breen Was A Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 Callback

Commander rayner sent the breen dreadnought to the galactic barrier..

Facing down the Breen dreadnought, Commander Rayner realized that the ship needed to be removed from the field of battle entirely. He then questions whether the USS Discovery's spore drive can be used to jump something other than the ship itself. Although Commander Paul Stamets (Anthony Rapp) initially insists this to be impossible, he reconsiders with a plan that involves quantum entanglement and the USS Discovery executing a saucer separation . When asked where to send the Breen, Rayner hesitates before ordering them sent to the galactic barrier. It will take them around two decades to get back, but they will survive, which, as Rayner points out, is "more than they gave [his] family."

The USS Discovery was the first Starfleet ship to completely cross through the galactic barrier, although the USS Enterprise entered it twice in Star Trek: The Original Series.

Near the end of Star Trek: Discovery season 4 , the USS Discovery crossed the galactic barrier in search of Species 10-C, the mysterious aliens that created the Dark Matter Anomaly (DMA). Surrounding the edge of the Milky War Galaxy, the galactic barrier is incredibly treacherous to cross. Discovery made the difficult journey through the barrier into another galaxy and found the homeworld of Species 10-C. After some initial confusion, Captain Burnham and her crew eventually figured out a way to communicate with Species 10-C to let them know about the damage the DMA was causing. Discovery's spore drive allowed the ship to travel to the galactic barrier in an instant, but it takes years for most ships to travel to the edge of the known galaxy.

Star Trek: Discovery Never Revealed What Happened To Species 10-C

The crew of discovery never even learned the proper name for species 10-c..

Not only did Species 10-C inhabit an entirely different galaxy, but they were also truly alien in every way. As a collective of non-humanoid lifeforms, Species 10-C had no concept of the individual, and they did not realize that Captain Burnham and her people were even sentient. It took several Federation scientists and members of Discovery's crew to find a way to communicate with these strange aliens, using hydrocarbons to convey emotional meaning. Species 10-C used the DMA to harvest the boronite they needed to power the hyperfield that protected their planet, completely unaware of the harm they were causing.

Star Trek: Discovery season 5 didn't follow up on what happened between the Federation and Species 10-C .

After an impassioned plea from Cleveland Booker, Species 10-C agreed to stop using the DMA, and the Federation's successful First Contact seemed to open the possibility of a further relationship between the neighboring galaxies. And yet, Star Trek: Discovery season 5 didn't follow up on what happened between the Federation and Species 10-C . While it's possible contact with Species 10-C continued, no new information about the extragalactic aliens - including what Species 10-C actually call themselves - was found in Discovery season 5. Now that Star Trek: Discovery has officially come to a close, however, the ultimate fate of Species 10-C may remain a mystery.

Sprinter Cicco! Italian moves into green jersey at Critérium du Dauphiné.

Giulio Ciccone sprints to fourth for the second day in a row at the traditional Tour de France build-up race and subsequently moves into the lead of the Points Classification.

After finishing fourth in the fog on the Col de la Loge on Stage 2, Ciccone replicated this result in Les Estables at the end of Stage 3.

One rider from the early breakaway was agonisingly close to making to the finish line yesterday and so, it was no surprise to see teams fighting it out to get into the breakaway today. Toms Skujins looked characteristically strong in the opening kilometers and had the support of Lidl-Trek to try to force a strong move. However, ultimately, only three riders were allowed to go clear and the trio was kept on a relatively short leash throughout the whole day.

Lidl-Trek, led by the reliable duo of Alex Kirsch and Ryan Gibbons, moved up to the front of the peloton ahead of a crucial left-hand turn to make sure that the Team’s key riders were well-positioned and ready for a fast and furious uphill finale.

Approaching the 10-kilometer to go mark, it was Mads Pedersen setting the pace to help close the gap to the remaining leaders, a signal which showed the Stage 1 winner was playing the role of trusted teammate with Ciccone the Lidl-Trek sprinter this time around.

In the end, Derek Gee (IPT) made a late, and somewhat surprise, attack with 500 meters to go and was able to get the better of the bunch to hold on for the win while, Ciccone had to come from behind to clinch fourth with the Team’s GC leader Tao Geoghegan Hart also finishing in the first part of the front group.

His results over the last two days scored him enough points to move into the green jersey, which started the day on the shoulders of Pedersen.

Ciccone’s reaction:

“It was a bit of a strange final. The climb was super fast and my teammates did a perfect job and I just made a small mistake in the last kilometer. I was too far back and I had to do a really long sprint and actually, in the end, I ad to sprint two times but, it’s like this. I am not a sprinter. In the end, I am there and my legs are good and my feeling is also good so after such a long time and all the problems I had, I think for me it’s really important to be trying to fight for the victory, for my head too. We have some hard stages in front of us and then the Tour is next so I really want to know my shape in the next days and for sure, as a team there is still more we can do here.”

Adam Nimoy’s relationship with his father, Leonard Nimoy, was healed through heartbreak.

Adam, 67, writes in his upcoming memoir, “The Most Human: Reconciling with my Father, Leonard Nimoy,” that for decades he was either barely speaking to his dad or completely estranged.

But when Adam’s second wife was diagnosed with cancer, the “Star Trek” actor stepped up to the plate.

“He was the go-to guy, which was absolutely unthinkable just a few years before. I would never have called him. Never. I didn’t call him when I broke up my marriage of 18 years and I moved out of my house, leaving my two kids,” Adam tells Page Six exclusively.

“[But] my dad became the dad that I always needed but never really had. So it was a very transformative experience.”

The author says their relationship began to improve a few years earlier when the actor, who died in 2015 at the age of 83 , sent his son a letter listing all of Adam’s deficiencies.

Although they were both sober at the time, Adam says that his father was not taking accountability.

“He was sober but not necessarily in recovery,” Adam explains. “He did not take his own inventory. He took my inventory and that’s kind of a no-no.”

Adam admits his first impulse was to blow up at his father but a friend showed him another way.

His friend advised him to take his own inventory and make amends with his father while letting go of the resentment he had toward him.

“He immediately invited me to a Shabbat dinner the following Friday at his house,” Adam recalls.

Their strained relationship started in Adam’s childhood amid his father’s immense fame for his role as Spock.

“It’s tough to fight with a guy who’s got millions of fans all over the world who just think he’s amazing,” Adam says. “And then I come along and say, ‘I got news for you. You’re human just like the rest of us. And you make mistakes.'”

He describes their mended relationship “a relief” and “a lovely thing,” which was cemented with their work on the 2016 documentary “For the Love of Spock” about Leonard’s life.

“It was a way for me to honor my father,” Adam says. “And it was a way for him to really look at where he had come from and what he had done in his life.”

“The Most Human: Reconciling with My Father, Leonard Nimoy” is out June 4.

Adam will be at the Barnes & Noble on the Upper West Side on June 6 and Bookends in New Jersey on June 7.

Emmys: ‘The Bear’ Surprises With One Writing Submission; Will ‘Abbott Elementary’ Finally Land With Directors? ‘Baby Reindeer’ Takes the Lead

2024 Emmy Predictions: Outstanding Directing/Writing (Drama, Comedy, Limited, TV Movie )

Weekly Commentary (Updated: June 4, 2024): Surprising news has emerged from studios regarding submissions for the directing and writing categories for the Emmys, with nomination voting set to open on June 13.

In the comedy category, “The Bear” has only submitted the iconic episode “Fishes,” written by Christopher Storer and Joanna Calo, for outstanding writing in a comedy. Surprisingly, the impressive episode “Forks,” which follows Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as he’s trained at an upscale restaurant, won’t be up for consideration. “Fishes” by Storer and “Honeydew” by Ramy Youssef will be on the ballot for directing.

“Abbott Elementary” sees Emmy-winning writer Quinta Brunson attempting to reclaim her title with the season premiere episode “Career Day.” The show has yet to receive recognition for its directorial achievements, but there’s anticipation that Randall Einhorn might finally make the lineup after directing the finale, “Party.”

A surprise freshman series could also make an appearance in the race. Paramount’s “Colin From Accounts,” with writers and stars Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, is a strong contender. Additionally, the final season of “Reservation Dogs” might earn a long-overdue farewell bid for creator Sterlin Harjo. The series finale episodes of “Young Sheldon” or “Curb Your Enthusiasm” could also find their way into the competition after garnering buzz the past few weeks.

In the drama series category, “Shogun” is expected to make a significant impact. Meanwhile, the limited series category is shaping up to be a three-horse race between “True Detective” and Netflix’s double entries of “Baby Reindeer” and “Ripley.”
