É também um dos melhores lugares do mundo para fazer caminhadas e aprender a escalar. Alpinistas de todos os níveis são atraídos para as mais de 300 rotas de escalada em suas falésias calcárias. 

Quer incluir um pouco de emoção em seu roteiro Krabi? Essas são as 4 melhores praias em Railay para se aventurar: 

• Railay West : Com vista para lindas falésias e areia macia, Railay West é a principal praia da região, onde provavelmente você vai desembarcar. Ela é um bom lugar para caminhar com um belo cenário!
• Railay East : Ponto de desembarque dos long tails, esta praia não tem uma areia tão macia e o mar não é apropriado para nadar. No entanto, vale a visita para observar a paisagem, passar pela Diamond Cave (Caverna de Diamante) e pelo calçadão próximo que conta com vários restaurantes e bares.

Railay Beach fica em uma península entre a cidade de Krabi e a praia de Ao Nang, e só é acessível de barco.

É fácil chegar lá a partir da praia de Ao Nang, onde você pode pegar um long tail boat por cerca de 100 baht e viajar por cerca de 15 minutos. O barco funciona todos os dias das 7h30 às 17h30, mas só parte após atingir a capacidade máxima de 8 pessoas.

Também é possível alugar um long tail boat por cerca de 750 baht por pessoa, além da taxa do parque nacional de cerca de 300 baht.

3. Tour pelas ilhas (4 Island Tour e 7 Island Tour)

Um dos passeios em Krabi Tailândia mais populares é o 4 Island Tour , um passeio de barco que visita 4 ilhas diferentes, geralmente são elas:

• Tup Island : Com uma água morna e clarinha é perfeita para ver peixinhos coloridos! Na maré baixa, há um banco de areia que fica à mostra.

4. Passeio Hong Islands

Passando por belas praias, como Daenang Island, Pak Bia, Koh Lao Lading e  Hong Lagoon, todas com águas verdes esmeraldas e areias branquinhas, o Hong Islands é um dos passeios em Krabi mais bonitos. 

Durante o trajeto, o visual do mar, das falésias e dos coqueiros vão te impressionar muito e, além de ser uma chance de observar as belezas naturais, você vai poder tomar um sol em areias branquinhas e fofas e nadar em águas calminhas!

5. James Bond Island Tour

Entre os muitos passeios em Krabi, um dos mais procurados é o que leva para Koh Tapu, ilha que ficou conhecida como James Bond Island , após ter sido o set de gravação do filme “007 Contra o Homem com a Pistola de Ouro”.

Não é permitido mergulhar por lá, por isso, a passagem é basicamente para observar e tirar fotos. No entanto, geralmente o tour inclui outras paradas, como as cavernas de Hong Island e Lana Island, onde será possível mergulhar, além de uma vila dos pescadores que abriga mesquitas douradas e uma grande população muçulmana.

6. Koh Poda

Localizada a apenas 6 km da praia de Ao Nang (25 minutos de barco), Koh Poda é uma das mais populares ilhas de Krabi Tailândia. O lugar tem uma beleza única, com muitas palmeiras e pinheiros que cercam a praia de areia branquinha e macia. 

Outro excelente motivo para visitá-la é que há um recife de coral a cerca de 20 metros da praia, onde você vai poder mergulhar e observar a diversidade incrível da vida marinha local.

7. Koh Phi Phi

Localizada a apenas 45 minutos de lancha da cidade de Krabi, Phi Phi é um dos destinos da Tailândia mais paradisíacos, e onde você vai encontrar tudo o que precisa para umas férias fantásticas!

Após uma de suas praias (Maya Bay) ter sido usada como um dos locais de filmagem para o filme ‘A Praia’, que tem Leonardo DiCaprio como protagonista, a ilha ficou super famosa e os turistas nunca mais pararam de chegar.

Pessoas de toda parte do mundo querem conhecer suas praias maravilhosas com águas azul-turquesa e aproveitar as muitas opções de passeios do local, como snorkeling, escalada, mergulho e caminhadas. 

Phi Phi Don é a principal ilha turística com resorts cinco estrelas, bangalôs de praia e vida noturna. Phi Phi Leh faz parte do Parque Nacional Hat Noppharat Thara – Mu Ko Phi Phi.

Como ir de Krabi para Phi Phi?

Partindo do píer de Klong Jilad em Krabi Town, é possível realizar a viagem para Phi Phi de ferry, o que custa cerca de 450 baht ou de lancha que, em média, custa 900 baht. Ambos, são oferecidos em quatro horários, todos os dias.

Você também pode reservar um passeio de um dia para as Ilhas Phi Phi saindo de Krabi de lancha, o que recomendamos fazer pelo site da Tailandiando .

8. Koh Tup and Koh Mor

Koh Tup e Koh Mor são ilhas dentro do arquipélago de Krabi. Elas estão ligadas por um banco de areia que também leva a Koh Kai, uma terceira ilha, na maré baixa.

Além desta caminhada única, das excelentes oportunidades de mergulho com snorkel e do cume de Koh Tup, que oferece uma vista legal para as outras ilhas ao redor, não há muito o que fazer em Krabi nesta região, o que a torna perfeita para quem quer apenas relaxar em um paraíso tropical!

9. Tup Kaek

Água cristalina morna, nenhum barulho de barco e uma areia bem fofa! Assim é Tup Kaek, uma das mais tranquilas praias de Krabi, que serviu como cenário para algumas cenas de casamento do filme “Se Beber Não Case 2”. 

Situada a apenas uma hora de distância de Ao Nang, ela não é um bom lugar para os que buscam agito, mas é perfeita para quem quer curtir um visual incrível (mais um!) e passar algumas horinhas relaxando em um mar rasinho e morninho.

E, caso você fique entediado (a), a área de conservação próxima oferece aos visitantes muitas trilhas para explorar, além de ser possível, em uma curta caminhada, chegar a restaurantes com uma ótima vista para o mar.

10. Emerald Pool e Blue Pool

Uma atração bastante famosa é a Emerald Pool (ou Sa Morakot, em tailandês), uma piscina natural de água esverdeada e cristalina que fica no interior da Reserva Khao Phra Bang Khram. 

Para chegar lá, é preciso fazer uma trilha (bem sinalizada) de pouco mais de 1 km e cerca de 20 minutos pela mata. 

Caminhando mais uns 600m (e cerca de 10 minutos), chega-se na Blue Pool , uma piscina natural de um azul muito intenso, devido à sedimentação de calcário. Mas, apesar do lugar ser lindo, é proibido nadar aqui, para não levantar os resíduos.

11. Dê um mergulho nas fontes termais de Khlong Thom

Com nascentes bem próximas à Piscina Esmeralda, você vai encontrar as fontes termais de Khlong Thom , também conhecidas como fontes termais de Khlong Thom Saline, originadas de antigas câmaras vulcânicas.

Com uma temperatura que atinge 40 graus e sais minerais naturais com muitas propriedades curativas, as águas dessas fontes também são maravilhosas para tomar um banho relaxante durante uma visita à Krabi Tailândia. 

E, se depois disso, você quiser dar um mergulho refrescante, basta partir para o riacho que fica pertinho do lugar.

12. Tiger Cave

Ao planejar o que fazer em Krabi, uma das atrações que você não pode perder é a Tiger Cave Temple ou Templo da Caverna do Tigre, um templo budista localizado em uma das cavernas mais maravilhosas da Tailândia. 

Reza a lenda que um tigre viveu na caverna, por isso, o nome. No local, que é lar de diversos monges, você vai encontrar nas pedras marcas de patas de tigre e ícones. Há também muitos macacos, por isso, recomendamos que você não leve comida.

A principal atração turística, no entanto, é a subida de 1.237 degraus até uma torre de calcário, onde você vai se deparar com uma estátua grande de um buda dourado e uma vista absurdamente linda do Mar de Andamão.

Apesar da entrada ser gratuita, muitos visitantes levam dinheiro para fazer uma doação, o que contribui para a sobrevivência do local. Também é importante lembrar de usar roupas adequadas, já que esse é um destino sagrado.

13. Khao Khanap Nam

Uma das coisas mais interessantes da lista de o fazer em Krabi, é visitar Khao Khanap Nam , duas montanhas com cerca de 100 metros de altura separadas por um rio. 

Elas são consideradas os marcos mais famosos de Krabi, abrigam várias cavernas que valem a pena explorar e, como uma delas é escalável, dá para tirar fotos espetaculares do topo!

14. Relaxe em Koh Lanta

Um dos nossos locais favoritos em toda a Tailândia, Koh Lanta é uma grande ilha do distrito de Krabi, que fica a cerca de duas horas de distância de Krabi Town. 

Sem dúvida, muito mais calma do que sua vizinha Ko Phi Phi, Koh Lanta tem praias de água cristalina bem tranquilas, além de cachoeiras, cavernas e até um Parque Nacional Marinh o. 

Ela também é o lar de muitas escolas de mergulho, todas certificadas e prontas para levá-lo para ver a bela vida marinha e os corais deste que é um dos melhores lugares do mundo para mergulhar ! Você vai poder ver tartarugas marinhas, cavalos-marinhos, raias mantas e, com sorte, até tubarões-baleia.

Para completar, o lugar abriga desde hotéis super luxuosos, como o Pimalai Resort a pousadas e resorts baratos, mas confortáveis, como o El Pillax Lanta Resort .

Recomendamos ficar pelo menos 3 dias em Koh Lanta, para poder curtir com toda calma suas muitas praias (uma mais linda que a outra!), os restaurantes gostosos, pequenos templos, feirinhas de comida de rua e poder vivenciar a cultura tailandesa, que aqui ainda não foi tão abalada pelo turismo de massa. E, ah, se possível, alugue uma moto para explorar a ilha de forma mais independente!

15. Ilha da Caveira – Koh Talabeng

Entre as muitas opções de o que fazer em Krabi, uma das mais interessantes é visitar a Ilha da Caveira. Reza a lenda que a caverna marítima de Talabeng, uma de suas cavernas, era utilizada pelos piratas para esconder seus tesouros.

Durante o passeio, que é realizado de caiaque, você vai poder observar formações rochosas impressionantes, mergulhar em águas cristalinas e explorar a caverna que conta com formações rochosas de mais de 70 metros de altura!

8 of the Best Beaches in Krabi To Add to Your Bucket List

Skip railay beach and maya bay and head to these krabi beaches instead..

Part of the reason I love being location-independent is because it allows me to pack up and go anywhere for any amount of time. Okay, so maybe that’s the biggest, most important reason why I love being location-independent. Anyway, in the spirit of that notion, I spent three months a couple of years back soaking up the warmth, culture, and cuisine in some of the most beautiful places in Thailand.

Over the three months that I called Thailand home, I spent a good chunk of time chasing the best beaches in Thailand, many of which are found in the province of Krabi. Krabi is home to the best beaches in Thailand and beach-hopping is, without a doubt, one of the best things to do in Krabi.

But what are the best beaches in Krabi? With so many to choose from you may find it overwhelming to even know where to start. So to help make your beach bum planning a bit easier, I’ve listed the beaches in Krabi that I am itching to get back to.

Phra Nang Beach

You've probably heard of the famous Railay Beach — the beach off of mainland Krabi that is only accessible by boat. Well, on the other side of the point is another gorgeous beach surrounded by towering limestone cliffs and pocketed with caves.

Phra Nang Beach has a gentle crescent of golden sand, turquoise water, and, what I found to be quite interesting, a cave with literally thousands of carved penis shrines. Here's why: The cave is said to be a spot for fertility because the spirit of Phranang is said to live along the coastline. It is a supremely sacred spot, so please keep that in mind when visiting. This isn't a place to get "the shot" for the 'gram, but more to learn about an interesting part of Thai culture.

Penises and tradition aside, the beach is also a great spot for trekking up into the rainforest. The view from one of the top of the hills is stellar, with a panorama of the sparkling waters and limestone islands off in the distance.

Tub Island Beach

This fleck of green in a sea of blue is breathtaking. Tub Island is the second island in a three-island chain. At low tide, you can walk across a sand bridge to get to the largest island, Koh Gai. To get there, you can sign up for an island-hopping tour or hire a long-tail boat to take you there privately. No matter which way you get there, you'll have to pay a national park fee of about 400 THB.

Koh Gai Beach

Speaking of Koh Gai, this uninhabited island has several spectacular beaches, as well. The island’s name translates to “Chicken Island” because of a rock formation that looks remarkably like the head of a chicken. But it’s not so much the rocks you’ll be paying attention to when you’ve got a seductive stretch of sun-bleached beach out in front of you.

Nopparat Thara Beach

You'll get a little bit of everything at Nopparat Thara Beach. It's the main boat launch for people heading off on day tours, so the constant whir of long-tail boat motors is a consistent backdrop. But the west side of the beach is saved for a conservation area, so it's the perfect spot to hop in the water. One of my favorite things to do at Nopparat Thara is to hit the string of bars and restaurants on your way back into Ao Nang. This is where you'll find a night market, as well, which is always a lot of fun. Tip: Leon Bar is my favorite.

I absolutely adore Long Beach. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that this is one of the best beaches in Thailand. While I was camped out on Koh Lanta for two weeks, Long Beach was my “local” beach. Long Beach faces west into the Andaman Sea. It’s a gorgeous, gorgeous view of sparkling turquoise with the faint rounded heaps of islands in the distance. Along the beach are many boutique, locally owned hotels and guesthouses, as well as fabulous restaurants. My favorite was Fat Turtle, which served seriously excellent steaks and burgers all with a mesmerizing sunset view.

Klong Muang

This peaceful retreat is a paradise with sleepy beachfront bars and a few scattered restaurants that dot the mile-long beach. You can hire a long-tail boat from shore to do island hopping at a much more relaxed pace than some of the tours that you'll snag in Ao Nang. And if you do want the energy of Ao Nang, it's only about 10 minutes away by motorbike.

If you can get yourself down to the southern tip of Koh Lanta, it will be worth it for many reasons. But one of the main reasons is Bamboo Bay, which is just inside Mu Koh Lanta National Park. The crescent-shaped beach has beautiful soft, white sand and is fringed all around with a lush, thick blanket of jungle. Because it’s in the national park, you won’t find this beach to be very crowded at all. That said, it doesn’t have any facilities; you'll have to bring everything in with you for the day.

Koh Poda will have your jaw on the floor. Part of the Mu Koh Phi Phi National Park, Koh Poda is yet another unspoiled tropical island within eyesight of the Krabi mainland. You'll probably visit Koh Poda if you book an island-hopping tour. It's known for its snorkeling, white sand, and limestone mountains. There are no facilities on Koh Poda, but a tour will likely include lunch. If you hire a long-tail boat to take you, you'll have to bring everything yourself. But a picnic on this pristine beach is a can't-miss opportunity.

PGA TOUR winner Grayson Murray passes away at 30

Grayson Murray, who won his second PGA TOUR title at this year’s Sony Open in Hawaii, passed away Saturday.

"We were devastated to learn – and are heartbroken to share – that PGA TOUR player Grayson Murray passed away this morning. I am at a loss for words,” PGA TOUR Commissioner Jay Monahan said. “The PGA TOUR is a family, and when you lose a member of your family, you are never the same. We mourn Grayson and pray for comfort for his loved ones.

“I reached out to Grayson’s parents to offer our deepest condolences, and during that conversation, they asked that we continue with tournament play,” Commissioner Monahan continued. “They were adamant that Grayson would want us to do so. As difficult as it will be, we want to respect their wishes.”

Grief counselors were made available at the venues for this week’s PGA TOUR and Korn Ferry Tour events. Commissioner Monahan, who traveled from TOUR headquarters in Florida to the Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth, Texas, said he was "devastated" by the loss.

Grayson's parents, Eric and Terry Murray, said in a statement Sunday that the cause of death was suicide .

"Was Grayson loved? The answer is yes," his parents wrote. "By us, his brother Cameron, his sister Erica, all of his extended family, by his friends, by his fellow players and – it seems – by many of you who are reading this. He was loved and he will be missed."

Murray, 30, was a standout golfer from his youth. He won three consecutive Callaway Junior World Championships (2006-08) and was the top-ranked golfer in his age group. He made his first cut on the Korn Ferry Tour at age 16, becoming the second-youngest player ever to do so. After stints at Wake Forest University, East Carolina University and Arizona State University, he got the break he needed in 2016 when he was given a sponsor exemption into the Korn Ferry Tour event near his hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina. He finished inside the top 10 at that event, the Rex Hospital Open, which qualified him for another start. When he posted another top 10 at the BMW Charity Pro-Am, his professional career took off. He concluded his season with a victory at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship to finish second on the Korn Ferry Tour money list and earn full status on the PGA TOUR for the 2016-17 season. The win came a week before his 23rd birthday.

Murray wasted little time establishing himself on golf’s biggest stage as a rookie. He won the 2017 Barbasol Championship while still just 23 years old. His final-round 68 not only secured a one-shot victory, but also solidified a two-year exemption through the 2019 PGA TOUR season. He finished 66th in the FedExCup and earned nearly $1.5 million.

Grayson struggled for the next few seasons on the PGA TOUR. In 2023, he found his game again on the Korn Ferry Tour; he notched two victories – the Advent Health Championship in Kansas City and the Simmons Bank Open outside of Nashville – to finish fourth on that tour’s points list and earn a spot back onto the PGA TOUR for the following season.

Murray opened the 2024 season with a playoff victory at the Sony Open in Hawaii. He made a clutch up and down on the 72nd hole for a birdie to force a playoff. Then he sank a 40-foot birdie putt on the first extra hole to defeat Byeong Hun An and Keegan Bradley. He reached a career-high 46th in the Official World Golf Ranking after that victory.

The pga tour returns to jack's place for the final event before the u.s. open.

A busy three-week stretch on the PGA Tour kicks off this week with the 2024 Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village. Serving as the appetizer for the U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2, the Memorial will welcome the best players on the PGA Tour as it dons the signature status once again.

Cutting the field at the 36-hole mark like the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Genesis Invitational, the Memorial represents the final chance for players to fine-tune their games. A game which needs little sharpening is that of Scottie Scheffler. The world No. 1 arrives in Ohio as the clear-cut favorite after his top-10 performance at the PGA Championship and runner-up finish at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Finishing one stroke outside the playoff at this event a season ago, Scheffler looks to break through at Jack's place with a cooperative putter in tow. 

Speaking of cooperative, that could be an adjective to describe Xander Schauffele's game. The PGA Championship winner makes his first start since becoming a major champion at a venue where he has connected on five straight top-25 finishes. With a big win under his belt, the world No. 2 could be on the cusp of chasing down Scheffler.

Rory McIlroy rounds out the three-headed monster sitting atop this field. Twice a winner this season, McIlroy experienced a nice Canadian Open up in Ontario last week, resulting in a top-five finish. With his iron play looking sharper by the week, the four-time major champion hoprd for another strong outing before peaking next week.

While Scheffler, Schauffele and McIlroy have entered the winner's circle a combined eight times in 2024, many of the big names on the PGA Tour have not. Defending champion Viktor Hovland, two-time major champion Collin Morikawa, Ludvig Åberg, Max Homa, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Patrick Cantlay, Tony Finau, Tommy Fleetwood and Cameron Young all search for their first wins of the season Muirfield Village.
