Hints and tips for improving your chances of getting Red Hot Chili Peppers with Post Malone tickets

Make sure you have a my ticketmaster account.

Get the basics covered before tickets go on sale by logging in and checking your Ticketmaster account ahead of time. If you don’t have a Ticketmaster Account then make sure you sign up in advance –  Ticketmaster.com.au .

Sign into your My Ticketmaster account ahead of time

Remember to triple check your passwords, account information, and billing information are all filled in correctly in advance, that way you’re not facing any last-minute account updates when trying to process your order.

Keep your options open with ‘Best Available’

Save time by searching “Best Available,” which scans all sections fast – it’s quicker than searching sections one at a time.

Keep an eye on the clock

There will be a time limit applied to all transactions as they’re progressed through the ticket purchasing stages. Remember to keep an eye on the timer on your screen and move through the processing pages as quickly as possible (this is even easier when you’ve completed the account set-up stage we mentioned above).

Don’t refresh your screen

Stick to one window while you’re in the  Waiting Room  and when you’re being pushed through  the Smart Queue  and always resist the urge to refresh.

Hitting the refresh button means you’ll lose your place in the queue and, as frustrating as it can get, patience is the only way to win this game. Ticketmaster is equipped with sophisticated systems that are designed to manage and process ticket purchases as quickly as possible. The queuing system that appears on your screen will place you at the front of the line as soon as possible.

Remember: there are a lot of fans

We’re expecting this to be a very popular event. When a popular event goes on sale there are hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of customers all attempting to purchase tickets at the same time. Tickets are sold as long as seats are available, and when an act is this popular, sometimes they go very quickly.

Be sure to follow the above tips to ensure you have the best chance of snapping up some tickets.

Red Hot Chili Peppers will team up with Post Malone in venues around Australia and New Zealand in January and February 2023. Tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster.com.au.

It’ll be the first tour for both acts in 2023

Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced a six-date tour of Australasian stadiums, for which they’ll be joined by Post Malone .

  • READ MORE:  The  NME Big Read – Red Hot Chili Peppers: “We feel fresh, like a new band”

It’ll be the first tour for both acts in 2023, kicking off in the New Zealand city of Auckland on Saturday January 21. They’ll play in Dunedin next, before heading over to Australia for shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

Tickets for all shows can be found here. Those for the Auckland and Brisbane shows go on sale at 12pm next Monday (July 11), while Dunedin, Melbourne and Perth will all be available from 1pm, and Sydney’s from 2pm.

A pre-sale for Live Nation members will open this Friday (July 8), starting at 11am in Dunedin and Brisbane,12pm in Auckland, Melbourne and Perth, and 1pm in Sydney. Find details on the Live Nation pre-sales here (New Zealand) and here (Australia).

Additionally, Australian fans signed up with Telstra will be able to access a pre-sale this Wednesday (July 6), beginning at 10am in Brisbane, 11am in Melbourne and Perth, and 12pm in Sydney. Kiwi fans will have a similar pre-sale via Vodafone, with Dunedin’s starting at 10am and Auckland’s at 11am. Find details for the Telstra Plus pre-sale here , and for the Vodafone pre-sale here .

The tour comes in support of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ recent 12th album, ‘Unlimited Love’, which landed back in April and earned a four-star review from NME . Post Malone also dropped his fourth album, ‘Twelve Carat Toothache’, last month – that one also scored four stars from NME .

Reviewing the Chili Peppers’ recent show in Barcelona , NME’s Ali Shutler said: “The second Anthony Kiedis struts onto the stage and launches into a thundering ‘Can’t Stop’, the Chili Peppers are urgent and excited. What follows next is a viciously playful 100-minute set that sees the band show off their impressive legacy but also underlines why they’re still such a daring rock band.”

Meanwhile, last Friday (July 1) saw the Chili Peppers cancel a show in Glasgow just hours before it was due to begin, citing an unknown illness. Thundercat was meant to open the show, but instead performed a last-minute headline gig in a club . A$AP Rocky was due to open for the Chili Peppers at an earlier show in Manchester, but was so late to arrive that he ended up performing his 20-minute set after the band’s own.

The Chilli Peppers are still underway with the European leg of their ‘Unlimited Love’ world tour , with a North American leg set to begin next month.

Upon its release, ‘Unlimited Love’ quickly became the best-selling rock album of 2022 so far , racking up more than 145million streams and 97,500 album sales in the first two weeks of its release.

The band have also said that they have a “loose plan” to release another new album in the immediate future “We’re gonna put out music by the handful – literally,” singer Anthony Kiedis told NME . “Don’t be surprised if another wheelbarrow of songs comes your way in the near future. We have a lot of shit to turn people onto.”

Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 2023 Australian tour dates (featuring Post Malone) are:

JANUARY Saturday 21 – Auckland, Mt. Smart Stadium Thursday 26 – Dunedin, Forsyth Barr Stadium Sunday 29 – Brisbane, Suncorp Stadium

FEBRUARY Thursday 2 – Sydney, Accor Stadium Tuesday 7 – Melbourne, Marvel Stadium Sunday 12 – Perth, Optus Stadium

Red Hot Chilli Peppers Announce Australian Tour With Post Malone For February 2023

Red Hot Chilli Peppers Announce Australian Tour With Post Malone For February 2023

Chris Singh

As they currently make the rounds in Europe in support of their recent 12th studio album, Unlimited Love , legendary rockers Red Hot Chilli Peppers have announced an Australia tour, as well as two shows in New Zealand, to kick off the new year. And none other than Post Malone will be on support duties on all six dates, starting off in New Zealand in late January and then heading across the ditch to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth for stadium shows in early-to-mid February.

Kicking off in Auckland on Saturday, January 21st, the tour will be the first cab off the rank for both Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Post Malone post-New Year’s celebrations. And it’s a nice way for Aussie music fans, in particular, to help turn summer into a live music binge seeing as we’re already getting concerts from the likes of Arctic Monkeys and Freddie Gibbs in the New Year. Not to mention The Killers and Kendrick Lamar towards the end of this year.

In fact, according to the set lists from the recent concerts, it seems like the latest Red Hot Chilli Peppers tour is mostly about the greatest hits with only a few bits and pieces of new material peppered in for good measure. Considering the last time Red Hot Chilli Peppers were out here was in 2019, and before that 2013 for the Big Day Out, understandably this should get fans all excited for a bit of a nostalgia tour.

On the same hand, Post Malone will also have a new album to push when he heads on down to support Kiedes & Co. Posty’s fourth studio album, Twelve Carat Toothache , was released just last month and has similarly scored a number of reasonably glowing reviews across the board.

Red Hot Chilli Peppers Australia & New Zealand Tour Dates 2023 (With Post Malone)

Saturday, January 21st – Mr. Smart Stadium, Auckland Thursday, January 26th – Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin Sunday, January 29th – Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane Thursday, February 2nd – Accor Stadium, Sydney Tuesday, February 7th – Marvel Stadium, Melbourne Sunday, February 12th – Optus Stadium, Perth

Joining them is Post Malone, with his performance marking his first shows here in four years.

Earlier this year, the multi-platinum selling rapper released his fourth album Twelve Carat Toothache , featuring a collaboration with Aussie teen music sensation The Kid Laroi, who appeared on The Project in May and revealed that he’d inked a tattoo of the words “I need 2 s**t” on Malone while they worked together.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced a 2023 Australian tour

And they're bringing Post Malone along for the ride

Grab your shin-grazer jeans and tie-dye shirts, everyone! California quartet the Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced a 2023 tour Down Under. The tour kicks off in Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium on January 29 before heading to Accor Stadium, Sydney on February 2, followed by Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium on February 7 and wraps up in Perth at Optus Stadium on February 12 (sorry, Adelaide and Hobart).

The tour is to promote the band's new album,  Unlimited Love, which we're betting approximately zero people are there to hear, but in excellent news, musical genius John Frusciante will be re-joining the band and playing songs from across the groups prolific 40-year career.

Along for the ride is mumble-rapper and face tattoo enthusiast Austin Richard Post, aka Post Malone, who is known for mixing genres, much like the Chili Peppers themselves, and we reckon it'll be worth the price of admission just to see the confused looks on the crowd's faces.

Speaking of admission, a Telstra Plus member pre-sale commences Wednesday, July 6 at 10am in Brisbane, 11am in Melbourne and Perth, and 12pm in Sydney, running for 48 hours. General public tickets go on sale on Monday, July 11 at noon in Brisbane, 1pm in Melbourne and Perth, and 2pm in Sydney.

Last month, Red Hot Chili Peppers shared a new track titled Nerve Flip. Originally a Japanese bonus release from their latest studio album Unlimited Love . The album guitarist John Frusciante return to the fold for the first time since 2006’s Stadium Arcadium , and it has gone on to become the best-selling rock album of 2022 so far. The band are currently performing the final dates on the European leg of their ‘Unlimited Love’ tour.

By the way, Red Hot Chili Peppers are bringing their global stadium tour to Brisbane this summer.

Red Hot Chili Peppers with Post Malone: 2023 Australian Tour

Can't stop, addicted to the shindig? Then you'll be excited about the latest huge music tour heading to Brisbane. Get ready to give it away, give it away, give it away now, too — your money, obviously, to see Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The Los Angeles-based rockers are bringing their new global stadium tour our way, with Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and John Frusciante singing songs to you beneath the marquee at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday, January 29.

The band's dreams of Californication are zipping around the planet as part of a hefty tour that kicked off in June 2022 in Spain, and also includes stops in London, Paris, Dublin, LA, Chicago, New York and more alongside its Down Under leg. And yes, the Chili Peppers have a record to plug in the process, aka Unlimited Love — their 12th studio album, which dropped back in April last year.

red hot chili peppers tour australia 2023

Clara Balzary

Both Unlimited Love and the tour mark the return of guitarist Frusciante, who left the Chilis back in 2009, then rejoined the band in 2019. And, the tour will see the group head to this part of the world for the first time since 2019 , too — and playing plenty of hits from their almost four-decade run so far, obviously.

There's a hefty number of songs to choose from. Since their self-titled first EP in 1984, the band has sold more than 80 million albums, won six Grammys and entered the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. They've also released tracks spanning 'Under the Bridge', 'Scar Tissue', 'Breaking the Girl', 'By the Way' and 'The Zephyr Song', as well as 'Otherside', 'Soul to Squeeze', 'Around the World', 'My Friends' and 'Suck My Kiss'.

Red Hot Chili Peppers will be joined Down Under by someone else who's sold just as many records: Post Malone. Yes, it's a two-for-the-price-of-one kind of tour — two massive music names, that is. Post Malone heads our way fresh from releasing his fourth studio album Twelve Carat Toothache in June 2022.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers ’ 2024 Unlimited Love tour arrived in California on Sunday night as the summer concert season picks up the pace.

Vocalist Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith and guitarist John Frusciante brought their biggest hits to the Toyota Amphitheatre near Wheatland.

The Los Angeles group’s Southern California anthems resonated with a Northern California audience that braved heavy traffic into the facility but were ecstatic to sing along.

The Chili Peppers head next to Salt Lake City. No other visits to their home state are planned. Rapper Ken Carson opened for the group.

The Everything tour will feature Yorke performing songs from across his career. Thom Yorke described the : “In the autumn in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, and Japan, I will be alone on stage trying a new kind of solo show thing playing versions of songs from my recent and not so recent past.”

Besides his work with Radiohead, Thom Yorke has released three solo albums, including 2019’s “Anima.” He also formed the band Atoms For Peace with Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers and longtime collaborator Nigel Godrich. Recently, Yorke started a new band called The Smile with Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood and Sons Of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner.

The Smile has released two albums, with their latest, “Wall Of Eyes,” dropping in January. Yorke has also composed soundtracks for films, including 2018’s “Suspiria” and 2023’s “Confidenza.”

Setlist + Video: Red Hot Chili Peppers Launch North American Tour

Red Hot Chili Peppers launched their 2024 Unlimited Love North American tour on Tuesday night in Ridgefield, Washington.

The band played several of their best-known hits — “Scar Tissue,” “Californication,” “By the Way” and others — as well as song selections from more recent albums, like “Whatchu Thinkin,'” “Black Summer” and “Eddie.” A cover of Funkadelic ‘s “What Is Soul?” was also included.

You can view fan-filmed footage from the show, plus a complete setlist, below.

Where Are Red Hot Chili Peppers Heading Next?

Tuesday night’s concert marked RHCP’s seventh show of 2024, but they have a busy couple months ahead. Their next performance is scheduled for May 31 at the Gorge Ampitheatre, also located in Washington state.

From there, they’ll travel down to their home state of California and then head westward for shows in Florida, Ohio, Ontario and more, concluding the tour on July 30 in St. Louis, Missouri.

The title of this year’s tour comes from the first of RHCP’s two 2022 albums, Unlimited Love , which was followed by Return of the Dream Canteen . Both were produced by Rick Rubin .

“When all was said and done, our moody love for each other and the magic of music had gifted us with more songs than we knew what to do with,” the band said in a statement at the time. “Well we figured it out. Two double albums released back to back. The second of which is easily as meaningful as the first or should that be reversed.”
