Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem

Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem

Peacock

Considering how long  Days of our Lives   (now on Peacock!) has been on (59 seasons!), it was only a matter of time before its stories were expanded. And this streaming series takes the romance, twists, and drama international—but still maintains what people still love about the soap today. Who doesn’t love seeing familiar faces? —  Meredith Jacobs

Love Island Games

Love Island Games

The first reality competition series in the  Love Island   franchise provides a welcome service to the fanbase when delivering some long-awaited variety. A dating and gaming show hybrid hosted by Maya Jama and narrated by franchise staple Iain Stirling ,  Love Island Games injects new energy into this long-running reality TV program with the help of returning cast members from across the franchise’s global installments. And goodness knows that reality dating shows could do with some variety . — Kelli Boyle

Paul T. Goldman

Paul T. Goldman

Paul T. Goldman is a meta, satirical docuseries that flips true crime on its head and is almost impossible to explain. It’s inventive, ambitious, and fascinating. It follows Paul Finkleman (who goes by Paul T. Goldman), a man who claims to have been scammed by his ex-wife and has been asking filmmakers to produce his screenplay (based on his books) about his life. Featuring dramatic reenactments of his life and looks behind the scenes at the making of the show, Paul T. Goldman has to be seen to be understood. —  Leah Williams

MacGruber

We first met MacGruber in a series of recurring SNL sketches starring Will Forte as a MacGyver -style hero who is always trapped in a room with a ticking bomb, his assistants, and no way out. He always lets the bomb detonate. We saw him again in the 2010 film of the same name . T he show takes place 10 years after the events of the movie, with stars like Kristen Wiig , Sam Elliott , Laurence Fishburne , Billy Zane , and Ryan Phillipe joining Forte in the hilarious tale. It’s incredibly silly, often stupid, and entirely enjoyable. If you love the sketches, you’ll love the series. — Leah Williams

Rutherford Falls

Rutherford Falls

Co-created by Sierra Teller Ornelas, Mike Schur , and star Ed Helms , this series centers around the friendship between Nathan (Helms) and Reagan ( Jana Schmieding ), which is put to the test when he’s reluctant to allow for the removal of his ancestor’s statue in their small Vermont town. The comedy delves into Indigenous representation on television and even takes a hilarious jab at Yellowstone among other highlights. — Meaghan Darwish

One of Us Is Lying

One of Us Is Lying

What should have been just another ordinary detention turns fatal when one student ends up dead and the four others ( Annalisa Cochrane ‘s Addy, Chibuikem Uche ‘s Cooper, Marianly Tejada ‘s Bronwyn, and Cooper van Grootel ‘s Nate) are the prime suspects. Think The Breakfast Club , but with a murder. Its two seasons are filled with secrets, reveals, and twists—including a flash-forward ending that introduced a new mystery. — Meredith Jacobs

Queer As Folk

Queer As Folk

This solid reboot (the third iteration of the series created by Doctor Who ’s Russell T. Davies ) fell victim to a common thread among streaming shows: too many shows, too little time. Reworking this queer drama into a modern lens, one that addresses the rise in LGBTQIA+ hate crimes and harmful legislation in America, this series prioritized the humanity of trans and queer people in all their shapes and forms. From T4T relationships and parenthood to cerebral palsy representation, Queer as Folk continued the franchise’s history of being a bastion for showcasing underrepresented demographics in the TV landscape. Plus, it has Kim Cattrall ! — Kelli Boyle

Apples Never Fall

Apples Never Fall

The third adaptation of a Liane Moriarty novel (the mind behind Big Little Lies and Nine Perfect Strangers ) was gripping enough to convince Annette Bening to sign on for her first-ever TV series. Co-starring with Sam Neill as her embittered husband, Stan’s emotional mistreatment of their four adult children (played by Jake Lacy , Alison Brie , Essie Randles , and Conor Merrigan-Turner ) made them believe him capable of killing their mother, Joy, when she goes missing. Told in two timelines, the “then” and the “now” explain how a stranger named Savannah made this family’s happy facade unravel. The performances from Bening as a mother who feels painfully invisible and Neill as a father who struggles to connect are the best reasons to watch. — Kelli Boyle

The Resort

The White Lotus meets The Twilight Zone in this inventive, mystical mystery made as a metaphor for processing grief. What starts out as a vacation to rekindle the spark in Emma ( Cristin Milioti ) and Noah’s ( William Jackson Harper ) marriage becomes an Indiana Jones -inspired mystery involving two unsolved deaths at a resort in the Yucatan. Nick Offerman , Luis Gerardo Méndez , Skyler Gisondo , Nina Bloomgarden also star in this time warp that will leave you questioning everything until the very end, making for one of Peacock’s most unique stories. — Kelli Boyle

Bel-Air

The reimagining of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air , Bel-Air doesn’t shy away from delving into topics that come with a young man moving from West Philadelphia to the luxurious California city. The town showcases the elitist world of the Black bourgeoisie — something we rarely see on TV, as it shows Will ( Jabari Banks ) navigating a world very different from his own as he experiences c ulture shock, racial tensions, and more. The high spirits of the series’ predecessor are replaced with the mix of uneasy realism and societal pressures that young adults can face. Each character from the original series is presented with their struggles and triumphs, but the series also adds new characters to broaden the storyline. The   series does a good job of bringing the nostalgia of the ‘90s original while adding drama and the celebration of Blackness. — Ennica Jacob

Ted

Fans of the iconic Ted movie franchise, look no further. Packed with ‘90s references and creator, writer, and director Seth MacFarlane ’s signature humor, this Peacock original will have you in stitches by the end – and not the teddy bear kind. This spin on the 2012 film follows the stuffed animal Ted (voiced by MacFarlane, again) who lives with his best friend, a 16-year-old Bostonian John Bennet ( Max Burkholder ), and his entire family. The two embark on a mission to help John achieve all things cool, from sex to drugs to parties. Unabashedly coarse and positively binge worthy, this series tackles friendship, family dynamics, and all of those warm fuzzy feelings of being an awkward teenager in high school – not. But in all seriousness, cozy up with your favorite stuffy and tune in. —  Katie Song

The Best Man: The Final Chapters

The Best Man: The Final Chapters

Feeling nostalgic? This one’s for you. The Best Man: The Final Chapters carries the bittersweet essence of a popular ‘90s franchise coming back for one last run, the franchise in question being the iconic 1999 rom-com The Best Man . From an era in the ‘90s and early 2000s where Black romantic fiction and Black indie cinema entered the mainstream (from 1997’s Love Jones to 2000’s Love and Basketball ), The Best Man: The Final Chapters centers on the four men who started it all: Lance ( Morris Chestnut ), Quentin ( Terrence Howard ), Harper ( Taye Diggs ), and Murch ( Harold Perrineau ). Not unlike And Just Like That in this sense, this series follows these friends in their middle-life era, with new priorities, problems, and queries — from corporate racism to acquiring generational wealth — while still maintaining the warmth of the friendships they shared in their 20s. It’s time to grow up and watch these final chapters. —  Katie Song

Bupkis

Pete Davidson ’s surprisingly poignant series loosely based on his own life delves into the anxieties of being in the spotlight, trauma stemming from his father’s death, drug abuse, and family ties. Along with featuring plenty of guest stars, the show also sees legends like Joe Pesci and Edie Falco step in to play Davidson’s grandfather and mother. — Meaghan Darwish

Based on a True Story

Based on a True Story

In a world obsessed with true crime and podcasts, this twisty dark comedy starring Tom Bateman , Kaley Cuoco, and Chris Messina  delivers both in a satirical way. When a realtor and former tennis star find themselves in a financial bind, they propose making a podcast with their plumber who happens to be a serial killer. In other words, comedy gold. — Meaghan Darwish

The Amber Ruffin Show

The Amber Ruffin Show

The Amber Ruffin Show wasn’t just good — it was necessary, and it was criminally canceled. Perhaps the real TV crime was that it didn’t get to be on a broadcast network in the first place like every other late-night TV show. Amber Ruffin , a writing alum of Late Night With Seth Meyers , is exceptional as a late-night host, with a knack for delivering a blunt truth with a witty smile. She’s one of the funniest interviewers among her competitors, but you wouldn’t catch her sacrificing intelligent commentary for the sake of something vapidly funny. You can tell by the answers from her interviewees, which included Queen Latifah , Wanda Sykes , and more, that Ruffin was stupid good at making them feel comfortable enough to open up in ways they typically don’t in this arena. Bring  The Amber Ruffin Show  back! —  Kelli Boyle

Girls5eva

It’s girl group summer, and we are here for every second of it. Girls5eva follows the fictitious girl group from the late ‘90s who are reunited 20 years later after the group disbanded following an unfortunate accident where their fifth member Ashley ( Ashley Park ) drowned in an infinity pool. Now, the group in question: Dawn ( Sara Bareilles ), Summer ( Busy Phillips ), Gloria ( Paula Pell ), and Wickie ( Renée Elise Goldberry ). There is some serious star power not only in this cast but in its team as well, executive produced by 30 Rock and Kimmy Schmidt showrunners Tina Fey and Robert Carlock . This show is about second chances and fittingly so, when Peacock canceled it, Netflix picked it right back up, giving audiences the opportunity to give this show another shot. As they say in their hit song, forever’s too short — give this one a watch while it’s still here! — Katie Song

Twisted Metal

Twisted Metal

Whether you’re a fan or not of the PlayStation video game on which this high-octane action comedy is based, you’re sure to find this series entertaining. Anthony Mackie leads the cast as John Doe, who has the chance of a better life—one not on the road in a post-apocalyptic world—by delivering a mysterious package. Along the way he meets both friends ( Stephanie Beatriz ‘s Quiet) and foes (deranged clown Sweet Tooth, played by Joe Seanoa and voiced by Will Arnett ). It’s an exciting and fun series—and the tournament the first season set up? It’s sure to be a blast. — Meredith Jacobs

Irreverent

Where better to escape the Chicago mob than a small beach town in Australia? That’s where mediator “Mack” ( Colin Donnell ) ends up—and he poses as the new church reverend, making for plenty of hijinks. Of course his past and trouble comes knocking, and Mack is left with questions of who he wants to be , and since it made for a fun binge, and featured a stellar supporting cast (including PJ Byrne and Kylie Bracknell), it’s just too bad that there wasn’t more after the hilarious first season. — Meredith Jacobs

Dr. Death

The acting performances from this true-crime podcast-inspired anthology series are the best reason to tune in. The two seasons star Joshua Jackson and Edgar Ramírez as rogue surgeons based on real people. Each of the “Dr. Deaths,” Dr. Christopher Duntsch (Jackson) and Dr. Paolo “Miracle Man” Macchiarini (Ramírez), committed horrific medical malpractice that left patients maimed or dead. Mandy Moore , Luke Kirby , Alec Baldwin , and Christian Slater also star in the franchise, based on two seasons of Wondery’s Dr. Death true-crime podcast. This series is a win for any true-crime fanatic. — Kelli Boyle

Mrs. Davis

If you were to put faith on one end of the spectrum and technology on the other, Mrs. Davis would like somewhere in between – a near-genreless series that is unpredictable, enlightening, and takes big risks. This Peacock original follows Simone ( Betty Gilpin ), a nun who has committed her life to Jay ( Andy McQueen ), a figure who works at a diner and gives her tickets for jobs to do from his unseen boss. Simone’s work involves unmasking normal people, like magicians who are trying to scam people, until she receives her biggest assignment: unmask the titular Mrs. Davis, who is an A.I. like Siri or Alexa that has become deeply ingrained in the fabric of America in its entirety. And that’s just the beginning. We could attempt to explain how the knights, the cowboys, and the Holy Grail come in, but frankly, there’s not enough time. If this has piqued your interest — and trust, it’s peaked ours — then stream now on Peacock. —  Katie Song

A Friend of the Family

A Friend of the Family

A Friend of the Family , based on true events, explores the Broberg family, specifically Jan Broberg , who was kidnapped multiple times by family friend Robert Berchtold. Jake Lacy stunned viewers with his riveting performance as the manipulative and villainous Robert, who groomed and brainwashed Jan (played by both Hendrix Yancey and Mckenna Grace in different periods — her parents were played by Anna Paquin and Colin Hanks ). A Friend of the Family was one of the best shows of 2022 and deserved countless Emmy nominations. —  Avery Thompson

We Are Lady Parts

We Are Lady Parts

We Are Lady Parts follows an all-female Muslim punk band of the same name. It’s funny and warm, and the performances from stars Anjana Vasan , Sarah Kameela Impey , Juliette Motamed , and Faith Omole are perfect. The songs themselves are great, a rarity with pretend TV bands (“Ain’t No One Gonna Honour Kill My Sister But Me” is particularly potent). As a bonus, creator Nida Manzoor ’s first feature, Polite Society , is also excellent and also streaming on Peacock. — Leah Williams

The Tattooist of Auschwitz

The Tattooist of Auschwitz

The limited series, based on Heather Morris’ novel, follows the incredible and harrowing true story of Lali and Gita, who meet while imprisoned at Auschwitz during the Holocaust. Jonah Hauer-King and Anna Próchniak give career-defining performances as Lali and Gita, whose love prevails despite the odds. Harvey Keitel is exceptional as the older Lali, who has to come to terms with his haunted past while telling his story to Melanie Lynskey ’s Heather. The series is an unforgettable story about how love can (and will) survive even in the darkest of times. —  Avery Thompson

The Traitors

The Traitors

The Traitors  might have started as a Dutch series called  De Verraders , but Peacock’s new edition is a force all its own. Hosted by the stylish sass-master  Alan Cumming , the reality competition series is a blast. In the first season, the contestants included both reality television alums  and everyday folks in competition, and, thanks to some truly excellent subterfuge by the season’s chosen traitor, it became a must-watch right away. Season 2 changed the stakes a bit — and was all the better for it. Not only was the cast full of colorful TV personalities fans love or hate or both, but it was released on a weekly schedule instead of an all-at-once drop and became one of the few remaining watercooler shows across any network or streamer. With this smashing track record, we can’t wait to see what they pull off in that remote Scottish castle for Season 3. — Amanda Bell

Poker Face

Natasha Lyonne stars as Charlie Cale, a woman with an uncanny ability to read others, and a penchant for crossing paths with unusual folks who somehow wind up dead. It’s through her gift that she attempts to right some wrongs and make her way across the country as she flees danger herself. Helmed by Rian Johnson , this star-studded crime dramedy is among the highest quality you can find on any streamer. — Meaghan Darwish

The 30 Best TV Shows on Peacock

Apples Never Fall

Best TV Shows on Peacock by Genre

  • Horror, Sci-Fi, and Fantasy

This post is updated frequently as TV shows leave and enter Peacock. *New additions are indicated with an asterisk.

When Universal jumped into the streaming game in 2020 , right as the pandemic was locking people into their devices, they boasted one of the strongest TV line-ups in the game, buoyed by decades of NBC programming and a few interesting originals . They’ve arguably lagged in the latter department, but recent years have been promising for Peacock with the premiere of buzz-worthy hits Poker Face and The Traitors . They’re on here, of course, along with 28 other shows to dominate your free time.

This Month’s Critic’s Pick

* apples never fall.

Year: 2024 Length: 1 season, 7 episodes Creator: Melanie Marnich

After the massive success of HBO’s Big Little Lies , it felt like every Liane Moriarty book would make for a major TV event, but times have changed. The field of prestige mini-series has been so overcrowded that you could be excused for missing the fact that there’s a new twisty tale on Peacock with a great concept and a hell of a cast. Annette Bening leads the ensemble as a matriarch who suddenly goes missing. Was mom murdered? Sam Neill, Jake Lacy, and Alison Brie co-star.

Chicago shows

Years: 2012-present Length: Various Creators ( Chicago Fire ): Derek Haas, Michael Brandt

All three of the currently running NBC series about crisis units in the Windy City are on Peacock – Chicago Fire, Chicago Med , and Chicago P.D. Case-of-the-week shows like this are often derided by critics but the industry that drives these shows is actually pretty impressive, producing elaborate disaster mini-movies every week. And they’re incredibly, consistently popular for a reason. The first, Fire , is still the best.

Years: 1968-1978 Length: 10 seasons, 69 episodes Creators: Richard Levinson, William Link

Maybe it was the success of the Natasha Lyonne hit Poker Face , but there was a recent revival in the pop culture universe for the best trenchcoat-wearing crime solver of all time. Peter Falk plays the title character, an average guy with a brilliant mind for solving crimes. It’s been fun to watch people discover the simple charms of one of the best mystery shows of all time.

A Friend of the Family

Year: 2022 Length: 1 season, 9 episodes   Creator: Nick Antosca

Did you watch the crazy true crime doc Abducted in Plain Sight over on Netflix? Then you know the insane saga behind this remarkable mini-series that turns that true story into a riveting drama. Jake Lacy is excellent as Robert Berchtold, a monster before people really knew not to trust their neighbors. In an ordinary suburb in the mid-‘70s, Berchtold found a way to kidnap his neighbor Jan (Hendrix Yancey and later Mckenna Grace) twice. It’s a story that’s hard to believe, but it’s all true.

Law & Order

Years: 1990-present Length: Various Creator: Dick Wolf

What would a streaming service from NBC be without its tentpole franchise, the Dick Wolf juggernauts that have been on most of our lives? The collection right now isn’t exactly complete— you can watch every single episode of Criminal Intent and Special Victims Unit , but you’ll have to start the original series at season 13 for some reason. That’s still a whole lot of ripped-from-the-headlines crime solving for one streaming service.

Lonesome Dove

Year: 1989 Length: 1 season, 4 episodes Creators: William D. Wittliff, Simon Wincer

There was a time, young readers, when a network mini-series could set the world on fire. Such was the case with this masterful CBS adaptation of the hit novel of the same name by Larry McMurtry, with a script written by the author and the great Peter Bogdanovich. A stunning ensemble that includes Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones, Danny Glover, Diane Lane, and Anjelica Huston lead a Western that was so acclaimed that it won seven Emmys.

Years: 2023-present Length: 1 season, 10 episodes Creator: Rian Johnson

The writer/director of Knives Out and Star Wars: The Last Jedi brought his skill to TV in his smash-hit mystery-of-the-week series that recasts the Columbo template with Natasha Lyonne. The star of Russian Doll plays Charlie Cale, a human lie detector on the run from a shady casino enforcer ( Benjamin Bratt ). Every episode drops her into a different murder mystery with a great revolving door of guest stars that includes Adrien Brody, Judith Light, Tim Meadows, Nick Nolte, and many more.

Year: 2002-2009 Length: 8 seasons, 125 episodes Creator: Andy Breckman

One of the biggest cable hits of all time is returning in December 2023 with a Peacock original film called Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie . Use this final chapter in the saga of Adrian Monk to revisit some of the highlights in the 8-season run of this undeniably entertaining mystery of the week show, a program that crafted some clever mysteries but really worked because of the commitment of the great Tony Shalhoub, who won three Lead Actor Emmys for his defining role.

Year: 2011-2019 Length: 9 seasons, 134 episodes Creator: Aaron Korsh

Do you think the powers that be at Peacock were annoyed when Suits became a surprise smash over at Netflix given it’s been on their streaming service all along? Why did so many people find their way to this USA Network drama (other than the casting of Princess Meghan)? Because it’s an easy-to-watch show in a hard world, a program that makes the time go by as the story of a man with perfect memory (Patrick J. Adams) who ends up working with a high-powered attorney (Gabriel Macht). It’s not an all-timer, but it doesn’t have to be to entertain.

Yellowstone

Years: 2018-present Length: 5 seasons, 47 episodes Creators: Taylor Sheridan, John Linson

This Kevin Costner Western slowly became one of the biggest shows on television. Starting life on the Paramount Network, it now airs original episodes on Paramount+, but the catalog of its first four seasons remains on Peacock—TV rights are weird. Yellowstone has grown to become a legitimate franchise with four spin-offs— 1883 and 1923 are over on Paramount+ and 6666 and 1944 are in development. They love their numbers.

Horror, Sci-fi, and Fantasy

Year: 2023 Length: 1 season, 8 episodes Creators: Tara Hernandez, Damon Lindelof

The creator of The Leftovers and Watchmen teams with one of the writers of The Big Bang Theory for this truly original show about religion, mythology, and artificial intelligence. Betty Gilpin rocks as a nun named Sister Simone, who basically finds herself tasked with a quest that will end with the destruction of a powerful Siri-esque A.I. named Mrs. Davis. As you can imagine, it’s surreal, funny, and sometimes brilliant.

Unsolved Mysteries

Years: 1987-2002, 2008-2010 Length: 16 seasons, 602 episodes Creators: John Cosgrove, Terry Dunn Meurer

Netflix may have the reboot, but Peacock has the archive, dozens of hours of serial killers, UFO sightings, and paranormal phenomena. These are the Robert Stack-hosted originals, the show that broke new ground in terms of viewer involvement through tips and some of the most unforgettably cheesy crime re-creations ever produced. Note: They also have the Dennis Farina version that aired on Lifetime for the completists out there.

Years: 2006-2013 Length: 7 seasons, 139 episodes Creator: Tina Fey

Tina Fey turned her experience on Saturday Night Live into one of the most critically acclaimed comedies of all time. How much did people love 30 Rock ? It was nominated for the Emmy for Best Comedy for all seven seasons that it ran, winning three of them. Its legacy has been a little controversial recently, but it remains one of the sharpest shows on network TV of the modern era.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Years: 2013-2021 Length: 8 seasons, 153 episodes Creators: Dan Goor, Michael Schur

What were you thinking, FOX? After canceling this beloved comedy , Jake Peralta and the 9-9 jumped over to NBC, where it now looks like they could air for years . This is another comedy that started off on shaky ground but became one of the best ensemble comedies after about a year or two. It’s now as consistently funny as anything on network TV. Prediction: You know how everyone watched The Office over and over again on Netflix (before it jumped to Peacock)? This show will be like that in about a decade.

Years:  2009-2015 Length:  6 seasons, 110 episodes Creator:  Dan Harmon

While  30 Rock  and  The Office  were winning awards, the outsiders at Greendale Community College were building an incredibly loyal fan base. With some of the smartest writing on television,  Community  told the story of a group of students at Greendale, led by the egocentric Jeff Winger (Joel McHale). The leading man was always underrated, but this show was its best when the whole ensemble clicked, including Alison Brie, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Donald Glover, Jim Rash, and Chevy Chase. There’s some rocky stuff in the back half — creator Dan Harmon skipped the fourth season and was re-hired for the fifth — but it never completely sank. There’s a reason fans are excited for the upcoming movie .

Everybody Loves Raymond

Years: 1996-2005 Length: 9 seasons, 210 episodes Creator: Philip Rosenthal

One of the best sitcoms of all time, the CBS juggernaut remains hysterical , and Peacock is now the exclusive streaming home of the Barone family. The ensemble here is so strong from top to bottom, but revisit it now for the timing of Peter Boyle and Doris Roberts as Ray’s parents. They make every single joke funnier than it is on the page.

Years: 2005-2007 Length: 2 seasons, 13 episodes Creator: Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant

It’s been a little weird to see how the fire sale is sending HBO properties scattering across the streaming landscape. Take this BBC property which was once an HBO exclusive, and now is somehow on Peacock. The creators of The Office reunited for an incredibly funny look at the people on the fringe of Hollywood, featuring some amazing guest turns from stars like Ben Stiller, Patrick Stewart, Samuel L. Jackson, and an unforgettable Kate Winslet.

The Kids in the Hall

Years: 1988-1995 Length: 5 seasons, 101 episodes Creator: Various

Starting life on the CBC in Canada in the late ‘80s, The Kids in the Hall would become one of the most beloved sketch comedy shows of all time. It holds up stunningly well three decades later, ahead of its time in terms of humor, representation, and general surreal insanity. The fact is that Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Bruce McCulloch, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson are just incredibly, hysterically smart, and their genius comes through in every episode.

Years: 2009-2018 Length: 9 seasons, 215 episodes Creators: Eileen Heisler, DeAnn Heline

The most underrated family sitcom of the 2010s was this ABC series that starred Patricia Heaton as the matriarch of an average family in the Midwest who just tries to hold things together from day to day. Scrubs star Neil Flynn plays her husband with Atticus Shaffer, Charlie McDermott, and Eden Sher play the three Heck children in a show that’s equally heartfelt and humorous, anchored by characters who feel more genuine than this genre typically allows.

Modern Family

Years: 2009-2020 Length: 11 seasons, 250 episodes Creators: Christopher Lloyd, Steven Levitan

Critics may not agree, but this is arguably the biggest comedy of the 2010s. It was a massive hit for ABC, especially for the first half of its run, in which it appeared in the top ten constantly and won 22 Emmys on the back of dozens of nominations. In fact, it won Best Comedy for its first five seasons with three of its performers—Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet, Julie Bowen—taking home multiple awards themselves. It’s a major chapter of TV comedy history that holds up for at least the first half of its run.

Years: 2005-2013 Length: 9 seasons, 201 episodes Creator: Greg Daniels

In 2020, Peacock paid a fortune to get exclusive rights to what was then one of the biggest comedies on Netflix, and it reportedly helped drive subscribers. People simply love the comedy of Dunder Mifflin and rewatch this show as much as anything else on TV. It feels like it’s always on Comedy Central or Freeform nowadays, but with Peacock, you can find your favorites to rewatch whenever you want.

Parks and Recreation

Years: 2009-2015 Length: 7 seasons, 125 episodes Creators: Greg Daniels, Michael Schur

Sitcom television doesn’t get much better than  Parks and Recreation , an NBC critical darling that took a little time to find its footing but became a modern classic by the third season. The writing on the show is as sharp as it gets, amplified by a fantastic ensemble led by Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope, the immensely likable head of the Pawnee Parks Department. Poehler rules, but everyone here makes a mark, including Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, and Aziz Ansari. As of now, the show that was once everywhere in the streaming world has settled in on Peacock as an exclusive home.

Years: 2006-2014 (plus specials after) Length: 8 seasons, 120 episodes Creator: Steve Franks

James Roday Rodriguez stars in this USA hit as Shawn Spencer , a crime consultant who is so attuned to details that he can pretend to be psychic. A clever, modern riff on Sherlock Holmes, another detective who was simply more observant than anyone else, Psych has a massive following, one so loyal to the show that it’s led to two follow-up films, including one that premiered with the launch of Peacock: Psych 2: Lassie Come Home .

Saturday Night Live

Years: 1975-present Length: 48 seasons, 945 episodes Creator: Lorne Michaels

It’s almost all on there, finally. When Peacock launched, one of the draws was the potential of reliving comedy history through the most influential sketch comedy series of all time, but they only had best-of collections at first . Now, there are dozens of episodes from the five decades of the NBC late-night hit. It’s like a lesson in comedy history, watching how the sense of humor of the nation changed from the ‘70s through to the 2020s.

Years: 2015-2021 Length: 6 seasons, 113 episodes Creator: Justin Spitzer

The fact that no one watches network TV as much as they used to had this NBC Thursday night comedy slide further under the radar than it deserved. Not only was Superstore one of the funniest shows on TV, anywhere, but it became a smart commentary on class inequality. If this aired in the era of The Office , it would have been huge. Hopefully, life on streaming services like Peacock will get it the attention it merits now that it’s completed its consistently excellent run.

The Thick of It

Years: 2005-2012 Length: 4 seasons, 23 episodes Creator: Armando Iannucci

Before Veep , Armando Iannucci created this brilliant political comedy starring Peter Capaldi, and featuring the same razor-sharp, vicious wit that would define the HBO Emmy winner too. Like Veep , it pulls back the curtain on the selfish egos that control modern politics. It was such a critical darling that it was adapted into a feature film that ended up getting an Oscar nomination, In the Loop .

We Are Lady Parts

Years: 2021-present Length: 1 season, 6 episodes Creator: Nida Manzoor

Manzoor’s series might be the best comedy you probably haven’t seen. Anjana Vasan stars in the tale of an all-female Muslim punk band in the U.K. It started life as a Channel 4 pilot in its home country in 2018, expanded into a series in 2021 and exported to Peacock. It’s a moving, rich, character-driven piece about being yourself, even when your culture and your country doesn’t support you.

Project Runway

Years: 2004- Length: 20 seasons, 251 episodes Creator: Eli Holzman

When the book is written on the prevalence of reality TV in the 2000s and the emergence of Bravo as a major player, this show will get its own chapter. Now running for 20 seasons, Project Runway may not have the cultural impact that it once did, but its fan base remains loyal and its impact on the industry—both TV and fashion—can’t be underestimated.

Years: 2006-present Length: 20 seasons, 289 episodes Creator: Various

Maybe the best reality competition show of all time, this Bravo original is exclusively on Peacock, where they’re also airing new episodes of the 20th all-star season the day after they air. Top Chef works so well because of how much it values skill, creativity, and passion. The winners of Top Chef have gone on to change the culinary world. And now you can watch their origin stories over hours of great reality TV.

The Traitors

Years: 2023-present Length: 1 season, 11 episodes Creators: Lee Gant, Christine Rose

The biggest new reality TV hit of 2023 so far is this gem of a competition show with a delightful hosting job by Alan Cumming. He guides a fascinating array of reality TV stars from shows like Below Deck, Survivor, and Big Brother through a game with a simple premise—three of them are traitors. Can the contestants figure out who’s stabbing them in the back before they all end up eliminated? It’s a smartly crafted, fun show.

John Krasinski Says Steve Carell Made Him Weep On The ‘IF’ Set After Giving Him “The Greatest Brother Speech”

Rainn wilson teases potential cameo in ‘the office’ reboot on ‘the view’, peacock confirms new ‘the office’ series is a go — and will feature a ragtag group of midwestern newspaper reporters , ‘the office’ follow-up will star domhnall gleeson and ‘white lotus’ star sabrina impacciatore: report.

In Rainn Wilson And The Geography Of Bliss , The Office star travels the world to try and see what makes people happy in different countries and cultures. The series is based on Eric Weiner’s book The Geography Of Bliss , but Wilson certainly makes this five-episode journey his own, mainly by telling the audience that he’s been in a funk lately and wanted to know what happiness actually means to people.

RAINN WILSON AND THE GEOGRAPHY OF BLISS : STREAM IT OR SKIP IT?

Opening Shot: On a chilly grey spring morning, Rainn Wilson is in a bathing suit and yellow knit beanie, lining up with a group of women, also in bathing suits and yellow beanies.

The Gist: Wilson starts in Iceland, routinely ranked near the top of the list of the “happiest” countries on earth; in other words, the highest percentage of that country’s population report that they are happy with their lives. It’s a beautiful country, no doubt, but it also is shrouded in snowy darkness during the winter months. So why are people there so happy?

The first person he meets is his friend Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, with whom he starred in The Meg . They strip down and sit in one of the volcanic island nation’s many hot springs. This is when Wilson is introduced to a saying that Icelanders use all the time: Þetta reddast, meaning “It’ll all work out.”

He then tours the Saga Museum with former Reykjavik mayor Jón Gnarr, a comedian who got elected in 2009 after running mostly as a goof. The sagas are how Icelanders keep their history, and the museum is full of wax figures of violent Viking battles. That’s happy, right?

Wilson visits a farm that’s been in a family for 7 generations, then goes on an “ice cream tour” with Jewells Chambers, who moved from Brooklyn to Iceland six years ago when she got married to a native Icelander. He talks to the punk trio Ateria, who discusses the heavy use of antidepressants in the country and how depression had a stigma in the country until recently. Finally, Wilson joins two women who are in a group that take a dip in the frigid North Atlantic every morning.

What Shows Will It Remind You Of? In essence, Rainn Wilson And The Geography Of Bliss is a travel show along the lines of The Reluctant Traveler , which tries to infuse a little bit of comedy into the beautiful vistas and fun activities its star is doing.

Our Take: At this stage of the celebrity travel show genre, the places that are featured aren’t quite as critical as the host that’s participating in these adventures. You know the footage is going to be spectacular, and you know that the producers are going to find interesting people for the host to interact with and camera-friendly activities for them to do.

Rainn Wilson was a good choice for a show like this, and not just because his sense of humor is dry and snarky, but with a sense of positivity bubbling underneath. It’s because the subject matter of this series is in Wilson’s wheelhouse. Anyone who has followed his career knows that Wilson has been searching for bliss for awhile, via his Soul Pancake production company. In different parts of the first episode, he alludes to his general unhappiness, along with the circumstances of his upbringing that contributed to that.

This lends a depth to the show that makes it more than just about the travel aspect. In fact, as a person who is keenly interested in how people’s upbringing affects their current worldview, we would love to hear more from Wilson about his early years, specifically in the context of his search for bliss. It really hit home when he visited with the family who owned the farm; he was moved by how the family members supported each other no matter what they did.

His narration during the farm segment is telling: “We help each other because we can, not because there’s some future payback. There’s a word for this: Love.” It’s a concept that he has tried to build in his life, but he’s building from scratch, if you go by what he says in his selfie videos. It’s definitely a fascinating concept to explore, because many people are trying to do the same. We hope the rest of the series stays with this emotional anchoring; it makes what Wilson’s doing more than just traveling with a camera.

Sex and Skin: Besides seeing Wilson’s and Ólafsson’s bare bums, there’s nothing.

Parting Shot: As a preview of the next episode, Wilson is dropped off in the middle of what looks like a depressed town. “What does it mean to live in an unhappy place?” he says in voice over.

Sleeper Star: Jewells Chambers has taken advantage of being a Brooklynite in Reykjavik, with a YouTube series , a podcast , and popular social media feeds. Most Pilot-y Line: When Ateria sings their song about cod liver oil (yes, they have a song about that), Wilson chugs an entire bottle of the stuff. Acccck.

Our Call: STREAM IT. Rainn Wilson And The Geography Of Bliss is aided by Wilson’s history, genial grumpiness and what seems like a true desire to figure out what makes people happy.

Best Peacock shows to watch right now

The best Peacock shows include Poker Face, The Office, Yellowstone and more

Best Peacock shows: Suits

Peacock is flying high, thanks to a deep library stocked with originals and titles from the various NBCUniversal brands. With such an impressive offering at an affordable price, no wonder Peacock is one of our picks for the best streaming services .

When you scroll through Peacock, you'll find dozens of dramas, comedies, reality shows and documentaries that come from NBC, Bravo, USA and Syfy, as well as movies from Universal Pictures. Plus, Peacock produces its own original series like Poker Face, The Traitors and Based on a True Story.

The main problem, as with any streaming service, is finding something great to watch that fits your mood in the moment. We're making things a little easier by hand-picking the best Peacock shows to watch right now.

The best shows on Peacock right now

Suits may be best known now as the last acting gig for Meghan Markle, but it's a worthy and bingeable legal drama without all that royal fuss. Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) is a college dropout with a photographic memory who makes money by taking the LSAT and bar exams for others. He stumbles into a job interview with Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht), a partner at the prestigious firm Pearson Hardman.

Impressed by Mike's skills, Harvey hires him, despite his lack of credentials. But they must keep the secret from everyone else at the firm, which becomes complicated when Mike falls for paralegal Rachel Zane (Markle).

Based on a True Story

Much like Only Murders in the Building, this satire pokes fun at our great national addiction to true crime. We indulge in many different ways: podcasts, documentaries, fictionalized dramas and comedies. The true crime industrial complex is big business these days.

Based on a True Story is a show meant to make money that sends up shows that make money off the genre. Get it? So very meta. Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina star as a struggling Los Angeles couple expecting their first child. When she happens upon a real-life serial killer, they decide to capitalize on the opportunity. Death becomes the American Dream.

If you saw Pete Davidson’s semi-autobiographical film The King of Staten Island, then his semi-autobiographical series Bupkis will feel very familiar. Once again, Davison plays a heightened, barely fictionalized version of himself. All the usual jokes and zingers about his life are there, from living with his mom to using drugs to his notoriety.

The cast is stacked with actors and comedians playing either real figures or versions of themselves, including Edie Falco, Joe Pesci, John Mulaney, Steve Buscemi, Jon Stewart, Bobby Cannavale, Kenan Thompson, Ray Romano and Machine Gun Kelly. In Bupkis, reality and absurdity collide to paint a vivid portrait of Davidson, er, “Pete.”

The timing could not be better for a sci-fi dramedy about artificial intelligence that has achieved a deity-like status. Creators Tara Hernandez and Damon Lindelof establish a world where an AI named Mrs. Davis is revered worldwide for its seemingly benevolent, caring outlook — trying to make everyone’s lives better. Think ChatGPT , but much smarter and friendlier.

Not everyone is a fan, though. Simone (Betty Gilpin) is a nun who is deeply skeptical about technology. Afraid that Mrs. Davis might eventually run amok, she teams up with ex-boyfriend Wiley (Jake McDorman) on a mission to destroy it. They’ll have to contend with the AI-adoring masses, though. Read our Mrs. Davis review for more thoughts.

With Russian Doll season 3 up in the air, Natasha Lyonne is moving on to a new mystery series. Instead of getting stuck in time loops and grappling with family trauma, she’s investigating an oddball case of the week. Lyonne partners with creator Rian Johnson, whose two Knives Out movies clearly indicate his love of the mystery genre.

Charlie has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. After hitting the road in her Plymouth Barracude, every stop brings an encounter with colorful characters involved in strange crimes that she can’t help but solve. What a concept! - Kelly Woo

The Traitors

One of my favorite party games is Werewolf, which some people may know as Mafia, and has now been adapted for television. It first hit the UK, where it became my colleague Rory Mellon’s favorite new show . Now, it’s coming to America.

The rules essentially break down like this: three people are designated as Traitors, the rest as the Faithful. Each side is trying to get rid of the other. The utterly delightful Alan Cumming hosts, using his deepest Scottish brogue. The cast features a mix of regular people and C-list celebrities. The latter includes the likes of Olympian Ryan Lochte, Brandi Glanville from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Cirie Fields from Survivor. In every episode, the Traitors get to “murder” someone, while the Faithful try to vote out one of their foes. At stake? Cash, of course! - KW

Dwight (Rainn Wilson) and Michael (Steve Carell) in The Office's Christmas episode

You know a show is iconic when a streaming service shells out a ton of money to snatch the streaming rights back from Netflix . HBO Max did it with Friends; Peacock did it with The Office. The beloved mockumentary follows the minute goings-on at the Dunder-Mifflin paper company outpost in dull Scranton, Pennsylvania. A remake of the razor-sharp British original created by Ricky Gervais, the American version softens some of the bite and Steve Carell makes boss Michael Scott a bit more lovable, if still buffoonish. This is truly an ensemble show, though, with memorable turns from John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson and Mindy Kaling.

We Are Lady Parts

If you want to watch something that sparks joy, We Are Lady Parts will do that and more. The British comedy puts the spotlight on an underserved group: Muslim women. And in this case, Muslim women who wanna rock! Amina (Anjana Vasan) is a microbiology student who thinks she just wants to get married and settle down. Then, she lands the role of lead guitarist in an all-female, all-Muslim band and her ambitions begin to change. The only hitch? She has terrible stage fright! We Are Lady Parts is not only sweet, funny and irreverent, it features some legit bops. Warning: The songs may live in your head, rent-free, for quite some time. — KW

Battlestar Galactica

Battlestar Galactica art featuring the cast

Oftentimes a reboot eclipses the original because of the time in which it was made. So while the original Battlestar Galactica was created during a campy time for TV, the SyFy version that you can watch on Peacock came out during the era of prestige television, where politics could meet sci-fi in a dystopia where the evil cylons are sleeper soldiers inside of your fellow man.

Not only did Galactica win by being smart about bringing post-9/11 politics into the futuristic battlefield, but its re-thought and gender-flipped version of the fighter-pilot Starbuck gave Katee Sackhoff ample room to rule the screen as one of the best examples of a strong female lead in recent history. Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell also earned positive reviews for their performances as the disagreeable leaders of this pack of humans, fleeing peril, Admiral William Adama and President Laura Roslin.  — Henry T. Casey

Tina Fey as Liz Lemon gives two thumbs up on 30 Rock

There ain’t no party like a Liz Lemon party! All seven seasons of 30 Rock are available on Peacock (and no longer on Netflix). That means you can watch all of the many wild, weird and crazy antics of Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski, Jack McBrayer and the one and only Alec Baldwin as the team behind the fictional sketch comedy show TGS. Fey turned her experiences as head writer for Saturday Night Live into a hilarious show about a show.

30 Rock isn’t your typical sitcom, thanks to the witty and sharp writing and the excellent performances from the entire cast. And it’s gifted us with so many memes, from Liz’s night cheese to dressing up as Princess Leia to get out of jury duty. —  KW

Busy Philipps, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Sara Bareilles and Paula Pell in Girls5Eva

What if the Spice Girls made a comeback right now? That’s the premise of Girls5eva, which comes from creator Meredith Scardino and executive producers Tina Fey and Robert Carlock. If you liked 30 Rock, you’ll likely enjoy the sharp jokes and satirical wit of Girls5eva.

It follows a ‘90s girl group that gets a chance to hit it big again. Renée Elise Goldsberry, Busy Philipps, Paula Pell and Sara Bareilles deliver great performances and (warning) you will not be able to get their big song out of your head. - KW

Friday Night Lights

The cast of Friday Night Lights

Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose … when you can binge Friday Night Lights. The acclaimed drama never got the viewership it deserved when it aired on NBC (in fact, the show was in danger of cancellation and moved to DirecTV). That may be because people saw it as a show about football . But FNL was so much more than that — it was about family and class and small town dynamics.

At the center, holding everything together, was the greatest team of all, Coach Taylor (Kyle Chandler) and Tami Taylor (Connie Britton). Even when the Dillon Panthers lost big games, Coach and Mrs. Coach always made you feel like winners. — KW

Saturday Night Live

Eddie Murphy in Saturday Night Live sketch

For nearly half a century, Saturday Night Live has mocked, made fun of and satirized American culture and politics on its live broadcast every, uh, Saturday night. The sketch comedy show has had its ups and downs over the years, but it’s basically an institution at this point. Can you imagine a world without SNL on television? It even found a way to air during the coronavirus pandemic.

Now, you can watch episodes from all 48 seasons and relive the early days of Chevy Chase and Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd. Dig up memorable episodes featuring Eddie Murphy, Chris Farley and Adam Sandler. Experience again the magic between Tina Fey and Amy Poehler on Weekend Update. And since this is an election year, it’s the perfect time to revisit how SNL skewered presidential figures, from Will Ferrell’s George W. Bush to Alec Baldwin’s Donald Trump. — KW

Parks and Recreation

Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope in parks and recreation

Pawnee, Indiana, a fictional city, is the closest thing we'll ever get to a live-action version of The Simpsons' Springfield. Entering its borders, you're told "Good luck with that," and we'd agree. Just look at the plight of Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler), the plucky — some might say too plucky — Deputy Director of the Parks and Recreation Department, who struggles to get anything done in this city. And while Parks and Rec uses Knope as an example that good work can be done in local government, the show is thankfully less saccharine than that setup would have you believe.

A phenomenal supporting cast (Rashida Jones, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Aziz Ansari and many more) makes Pawnee feel alive, which helped it survive its first season flaws. Arriving as somewhat of a sister-show to NBC's The Office, Parks and Rec's initial outing didn't really click. But it keeps getting better, especially once you meet Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott) and Chris Traeger (Rob Lowe). All the while, you'll be amazed by how odd the people of Pawnee are, as the show's town hall scenes are amazingly quotable, often enhanced by the presence of one Patton Oswalt. Still, Parks and Rec is Poehler's show, and she proved that she's one of the best there is on it.  – HTC

Top Chef season 18 judges include Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio and Gail Simmons

There are a lot of reality competitions out there, but none of them are like Top Chef. This is real food, cooked by real people. Most of the winners have restaurants you can eat at right now (provided you can get a reservation, but that’s a whole other story).  Over the course of 20 seasons, up-and-coming chefs have cooked some amazing dishes (though, this is NOT Top Scallop, people), and some, well, not-so-amazing meals.

Top Chef serves up a veritable feast of food-related drama in the form of quickfires and restaurant wars, but for the most part, contestants support and encourage each other rather than trying to sabotage anyone's culinary creation. Judges Tom Colicchio, Padma Lakshmi and Gail Simmons are often joined by renowned chefs, which lends gravitas to the proceedings. And switching the location every season acts as a food tour in different parts of the country. Bon appetit! - KW

Rutherford Falls

Rutherford Falls is one of a few shows that has advanced the representation of indigenous people on screen, along with Hulu’s Reservation Dogs and the new AMC drama Dark Winds. The comedy features indigenous creatives in front of and behind the camera, including co-creator  Sierra Teller Ornelas (Navajo) and stars Jana Schmieding (Cheyenne River Lakota Sioux) and Michael Greyeyes (Nêhiyaw from Muskeg Lake Cree Nation).

Rutherford Falls follows best friends Nathan Rutherford (Ed Helms) and Reagan Wells (Schmieding) as they tackle their careers and love lives. They’re also contending with big changes to their small town and the Native American reservation it borders, brought on by casino executive Terry Thomas (Greyeyes). - KW

Yellowstone

The cast of Yellowstone led by Kevin Costner

When Yellowstone first premiered on the Paramount Network in 2018, it looked like a vanity project for star Kevin Costner. But since then, the modern-day Western has become one of television's biggest hits. While new seasons continue to air on cable, previous installments are available on Peacock (not Paramount Plus, due to a prior licensing agreement).

Costner is John Dutton, the patriarch of a family who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. It's located near Yellowstone National Park, which is still frontier country. The ranch is under constant threat from land developers, an Indian reservation and conservation activists. John and his children fight for their property with every means at their disposal. - KW

The cast of Suits

True to its name, the suits (and dresses) seen on the legal drama are very sharp, and the writing and character work is even sharper. Suits is now famous for featuring Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex. I was a fan from almost the beginning, relishing the rapid-fire dialogue, the intricately-plotted cases and the deep, bantering bond between Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams).

Suits perfectly blends procedural cases of the week with ongoing threads, like the long-simmering attraction between Harvey and his secretary, Donna (Sarah Rafferty). And while Markle is great as paralegal-turned-associate Rachel Zane, the real standout in the cast is Rick Hoffman as the outrageous oddball Louis Litt. He loves mud baths, relies (maybe too heavily) on his therapist and enjoys crushing court opponents. — KW

TED DANSON, WOODY HARRELSON, SHELLEY LONG, JOHN RATZENBERGER, GEORGE WENDT, CHEERS, 1982

For years, modern comedy greats have pointed to Cheers as the perfect sitcom, and Peacock is going to give audiences young and old alike to do something we can't really do right now: relax at a bar filled with friends. One of the best workplace TV shows ever, Cheers was less about the suds that Sam (Ted Danson) slung at his regulars than it was about the expertly-crafted will-they-or-won't-they relationship between Sam and Diane (Shelley Long), and the banter between staffer Carla (Rhea Perlman) and regulars Norm (George Wendt) and Cliff (John Ratzenberger).

Cheers also helped make the career of a young Woody Harrelson, who played barback Woody Boyd with an effortless charisma. Frasier fans will also need to stream Cheers to see a young(er) Dr. Crane (Kelsey Grammer) and Lilith (Bebe Neuwirth). — HTC

Rainn Wilson’s new travel show seeks the secret to happiness

‘Rainn Wilson and the Geography of Bliss’ premieres on Peacock on May 18

peacock travel shows

Assistant to the regional manager no more, Rainn Wilson is now a travel guru. The actor, best known for his role as Dwight Schrute on the hit sitcom “The Office,” stars in “Rainn Wilson and the Geography of Bliss,” premiering Thursday on Peacock. His mission? Find what makes the people in some places happier than others.

Spoiler: It’s human connection. “It’s all about community. It’s all about connection,” Wilson said in a recent Zoom interview.

In each of the five hour-long episodes, Wilson travels to a new destination and ingrains himself with locals to uncover their unique brand of happiness. The actor, who recently appeared in “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story,” discovers the joy in human connection by, for example, wading in frigid Icelandic waters and playing a party game in Ghana.

Happiness is not a new interest of Wilson’s. In 2019, his studio and production company, SoulPancake , premiered the documentary “Laughing Matters.” It explored the relationship between comedy and depression and was an avenue for Wilson to discuss his own experiences. “I grew up a pretty anxious and depressed kid,” Wilson said in an interview with Newsweek . “... When I found that I could make people laugh, that was my solution.”

We spoke with Wilson about his travels and passion for happiness. This interview has been edited for length and clarity.

Q: What inspired your travel journey to find happiness?

A: A magnificent book by a D.C. native named Eric Weiner, “ The Geography of Bliss ,” which is a masterful and hysterical work where he travels all around the globe. It’s called “One Grump’s Search for the Happiest Places in the World.” I’m not as much of a grump as he is, but the format and the idea of looking for happiness as opposed to looking for delicious foods we thought would be an amazing foundation for a travel docuseries. So we basically stole it from his book.

Q: That gets me to my next question. How did the show come to be?

A: These young producers named Casey [Scharf] and Evan [Rosenfeld] just wrote me out of the blue, and they said: “Hey, we got the rights to this book. We think you’d be the perfect host.” I had spent a good amount of my time and writing and energy speaking about mental health issues. I had shared about my mental health struggles, and they thought that I would bring the perfect mix of seriousness and profundity, but also jovial hysterical-ness, to the proceedings.

Shrimp po’ boys and live music: Big Freedia’s New Orleans favorites

Q: You went to a host of locations for the show. Where would you want to go back?

A: I would go back to any of the countries that I traveled to. That was my fifth trip to Iceland, actually. It’s one of my favorite places on the planet; the nature is absolutely astonishing. I found Ghana to be incredibly beautiful and exhilarating, and Thailand was magnificent. But I would say that Bulgaria is kind of the hidden jewel of Europe, especially if you’re a nature lover. The forests and mountains there are exquisite. The food is wonderful. The people are really nice. I highly recommend Bulgaria, even though it’s ranked as one of the unhappiest places in the world. There are a lot of beautiful things to discover about Bulgaria. I should be a spokesperson for Travel Bulgaria.

Q: What do you hope people gain from this series?

A: I hope that people gain a subscription to Peacock, which is filled with delightful programming. I’m only partially joking, but also because “The Office” is on Peacock, I have a certain brand loyalty to my old employer, NBCUniversal Productions, Incorporated. But also what the writers and producers have managed to do with “The Geography of Bliss” is pretty extraordinary. The show is just incredibly uplifting, and it makes your heart swell with joy and is filled with laughter and community and just an appreciation for our magical and audacious and sometimes infuriating human species.

Q: Did this journey change how you perceive happiness?

A: This show did change my life, and it has changed the way that I view bliss, happiness, well-being — whatever you want to call it. I had a profound realization that no matter what you do to yourself inside and what adjustments you make in your daily living, it’s all about community. It’s all about connection. Everything having to do with happiness, no matter where you go in the world, is the depth and intimacy and warmth that one brings to a community and has brought to them. It’s just increasing your view of what family is to ever-larger circles of family. That’s what brings true joy. And this has been discovered time and time again in the field of positive psychology in the famous Harvard Grant Study about happiness. It’s all about connections.

Romance and Wiener schnitzel: Why David Hasselhoff loves train travel

Q: You travel extensively for the show. What are your essential travel accessories? And have you found any good travel tips?

A: I don’t have anything that outrageous for my travel tips. Melatonin knocks me out like I’ve been kicked in the face by a donkey, so I’m really lucky that way. Fanny packs are very handy for carrying, you know, passports and keys and wallets and whatnot. I really like the Away suitcases; those are nice. You need a good and sturdy water bottle with you at all times. I need a hat, but that’s mostly because I have a giant bald spot on the top of my head. Noise-canceling headphones on flights are a must, because they really do allow you to rest deeper and not feel so worn out when you land.

Q: Are there any other places you would like to explore to see how they experience happiness?

A: We were supposed to go shoot in Dubai , and the theme was going to be, “Can money buy you happiness?” But unfortunately, the week before we were going there, they debuted “The Real Housewives of Dubai” — this is a true story — and the royal family was so irate at the, shall we say, inappropriate behavior of “The Real Housewives of Dubai” that they pulled the plug. I don’t know what they were thinking “The Real Housewives of Dubai” were going to do, because we’ve kind of seen what “The Real Housewives” do: They get drunk and they throw garbage at each other. That’s what happens on every episode.

Q: Also “The Real Housewives of Dubai” is a little different from your show.

A: A little bit different. A little bit different thematically from “The Geography of Bliss.” But I would love to explore some of those very wealthy Gulf states to excavate this idea of, “Can money buy you happiness?” I think there are some great stories to tell.

This story inadvertently broke an embargo when it originally published. It was temporarily taken down after it first appeared.

More travel news

How we travel now: More people are taking booze-free trips — and airlines and hotels are taking note. Some couples are ditching the traditional honeymoon for a “buddymoon” with their pals. Interested? Here are the best tools for making a group trip work.

Bad behavior: Entitled tourists are running amok, defacing the Colosseum , getting rowdy in Bali and messing with wild animals in national parks. Some destinations are fighting back with public awareness campaigns — or just by telling out-of-control visitors to stay away .

Safety concerns: A door blew off an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max 9 jet, leaving passengers traumatized — but without serious injuries. The ordeal led to widespread flight cancellations after the jet was grounded, and some travelers have taken steps to avoid the plane in the future. The incident has also sparked a fresh discussion about whether it’s safe to fly with a baby on your lap .

The Best TV Shows to Watch on Peacock

peacock travel shows

This list will be updated regularly as titles are added to and removed from Peacock.

Peacock may not be as prolific as Netflix or as packed with quality programming as Max , but in the years since its 2020 launch, NBCUniversal’s streaming service has carved out a niche as the home of the Olympics , Best Picture winner Oppenheimer , and more. When it comes to television, Peacock’s supply of prestige dramas is a bit limited compared to many of its competitors. But its comedy catalog—featuring great original series like Poker Face and Killing It , along with decades’ worth of classic NBC sitcoms—is second to none, while Bravo and E! keep the platform stocked with some of the most popular reality TV franchises in existence. Here are some highlights. (An asterisk denotes that a title is a Peacock original.)

Best Comedy Series on Peacock

Poker face*.

The best Peacock original to date is this homage to 1970s detective shows created by Rian Johnson and starring Natasha Lyonne as a wry, big-haired Columbo for our time. Its first season takes Lyonne’s Charlie Cale—who has an uncanny ability to tell when someone is lying to her—on a solo cross-country road trip, as she flees a bloodthirsty employer in Vegas, pausing to solve murders at Texas barbecue joints, Tennessee race tracks, and on tour with a metal band fronted by Chloë Sevigny . The final episodes take a darker turn, setting up Poker Face , which was renewed for a second season in 2023, for what we can only hope will be a lengthy run.

We Are Lady Parts*

Polite Society filmmaker Nida Manzoor ’s raucous British comedy follows five young Muslim women—four musicians and their mysterious, niqab-rocking manager (Lucie Shorthouse’s Momtaz)—who form a punk band called Lady Parts. From brash, independent Saira (Sarah Kameela Impey) to timid Amina (Anjana Vasan), a grad student searching for her perfect arranged marriage, the characters are a study in contrasts that subtly counters pop culture’s monolithic depictions of women from Islamic backgrounds. Yet We Are Lady Parts is no dutiful study in representation; it’s hilarious, and packed with songs bound to get stuck in your head.

Pete Davidson plays himself, Curb Your Enthusiasm style, in this underrated comedy set in his home borough of Staten Island. Like his best work, Bupkis (usually) strikes the right balance between sophomoric humor and honest depictions of fame, addiction, mental illness, and family relationships. Speaking of which— Edie Falco and Joe Pesci co-star, wonderfully, as Pete’s mom and grandfather. Word to the wise: skip the first episode, which is both idiotic and unnecessary.

Killing It*

The Office fan favorite Craig Robinson stars in this extremely dark, addictively serialized comedy as Craig Foster, a broke, divorced dad and aspiring saw palmetto entrepreneur chasing the American dream—of becoming obscenely rich. Unlike his savvy, career-criminal younger brother, Isaiah (Rell Battle), Craig is determined to make his fortune honestly. Wild adventures ensue, as he meets gig-working weirdo Jillian Glopp (Claudia O'Doherty) and the pair enters a contest that offers a $20,000 prize for killing the most specimens of an invasive snake species. Killing It is one of TV’s sharpest satires of 21st century economic inequality, so here’s hoping that the two seasons that have already been released are soon followed by a third.

Everything I Know About Love*

Author Dolly Alderton adapts her own perennially best-selling memoir that recounts her misadventures as a single 20-something in London. Warm, breezy, and peppered with lighthearted early-2010s debauchery, Everything I Know About Love is just as perceptive about friendship and the precarity of post-collegiate existence as it is about romance. Of particular note is A Small Light star Bel Powley’s empathetic performance as protagonist Maggie’s (Emma Appleton) sweet, unglamorous, often-neglected best friend, Birdy.

The Resort*

Andy Siara, the master of surreal humor who brought us Lodge 49 and Palm Springs , teams up with ultra-charming stars Cristin Milioti and William Jackson Harper on this comedic thriller about a couple who book a trip to Mexico in a desperate attempt at healing their broken marriage. The pace is quick, the twists many, and the supporting cast stacked with the likes of Nick Offerman , Luis Guzmán, and character-actor power couple Dylan and Becky Ann Baker.

You’ll need Netflix to access the most recent, third season of Meredith Scardino’s comedy about a Y2K-era girl group that reunites 20 years after their 15 minutes of fame, which is executive produced by Tina Fey and shares much of her feminist-minded sense of humor. But, happily, the first two seasons of the erstwhile Peacock original are still available here. Watch for gloriously zany performances from Sara Bareilles, Busy Phillips, Paula Pell, and especially Renée Elise Goldsberry , plus a soundtrack of sharp pop parodies that are just as catchy as the real thing.

A Walmart-like big box store is the setting for this standout late-2010s sitcom that stars America Ferrera and Ben Feldman as retail employees with eyes for each other. Part classic workplace comedy, populated by lovable oddballs, part commentary on the state of America’s massive service industry, Superstore will be remembered for its thoughtful engagement with such timely issues as immigration and the plight of essential workers during COVID-19 lockdown.

Tina Fey set the tone for network comedy in the 21st century with this wildly referential—and often just wild—sendup of her former gig as head writer at SNL . Fey’s schlumpy, quasi-feminist showrunner alter ego, Liz Lemon, clashes brilliantly with an old-fashioned, alpha-male boss played by Alec Baldwin . Tracy Morgan and Jane Krakowski provide comic relief as a pair of very different but equally narcissistic and bird-brained cast members. And 30 Rock ’s joke-packed deglamorization of an industry Fey knows well makes it perhaps the sharpest sitcom of its time.

Parks & Recreation

Writer and producer Michael Schur has been an essential presence at NBCU for the past two decades, cranking out warmhearted comedies like the American Office , Brooklyn Nine-Nine , and Peacock’s Rutherford Falls . If you watch only one of his shows… well, make it The Good Place , which is only streaming on Netflix. But if you watch only one of his shows on Peacock , it should be this sitcom starring Amy Poehler as a cheerfully ambitious government cog in a small Indiana city. Be warned: Parks & Rec ’s Obama-era optimism feels dated in the 2020s. If you can get over that (and a lackluster first season), though, a cast that includes Rob Lowe, Adam Scott, Aubrey Plaza, Rashida Jones, Nick Offerman, Aziz Ansari, and, for better or worse, a pre-action-hero Chris Pratt—many of them in star-making roleks—is pretty hard to beat.

Elizabeth Meriwether, who would go on to helm Hulu’s excellent Theranos docudrama The Dropout , made her name as the creator of what might well be the last great network hangout comedy. Zooey Deschanel stars as Jess, a cute, allegedly dweeby teacher who, after a messy breakup, moves in with a loft full of dudes—one of whom (Jake Johnson’s Nick) inevitably turns out to be her soulmate. Gimmicky at first, the show quickly improved thanks to fizzy writing and an ideal cast that also featured Lamorne Morris, Damon Wayans Jr., Hannah Simone, and, in a breakout role as metrosexual (hey, it was the early 2010s) cad Schmidt, Max Greenfield.

The Office UK

Don’t worry—Peacock has all nine seasons of the bloated yet beloved American Office , plus seven seasons’ worth of expanded “superfan episodes,” for those who crave an even slower burn for workplace-romance icons Jim and Pam. But the real treasure is Ricky Gervais ’ British original, which ran only 14 relentlessly bleak episodes, each one an airtight case for the argument that what administrators call company culture is a contradiction in terms.

Absolutely Fabulous

The best British sitcom of the ‘90s—and one of the funniest shows ever made—is on Peacock. Comedy legend Jennifer Saunders stars as Edina Monsoon, a ‘60s wild child turned fashion publicist who worships at the bedazzled altar of Christian Lacroix, despite looking ridiculous in his clothes. Together with best friend Patsy Stone (a hilariously dazed Joanna Lumley), Eddy endeavors to achieve eternal youth. One obstacle to this fantasy is her poor, square daughter, Saffron (Julia Sawalha). The premise yielded roughly a quarter-century of laughs and set the stage for the madcap female-fronted comedies of today. Eddy and Patsy stumbled drunkenly so Abbi and Ilana (and Liz Lemon and Rebecca Bunch and Fleabag , etc.) could do full-on pratfalls.

The Thick of It

If you liked Veep , you’ve gotta check out creator Armando Iannucci ’s previous project, a BBC comedy that uproariously—and with plenty of floridly profane dialogue—sends up the bureaucracy of British politics as practiced by a fictional Department of Social Affairs and Citizenship (a.k.a. DoSAC). Before he was Doctor Who ’s 12th Doctor, Peter Capaldi gave a standout performance as Malcolm Tucker, the prime minister’s temperamental director of communications. Sadly, the equally great spin-off movie, In the Loop , isn’t on Peacock, but you can stream it on free, ad-supported services including Tubi and the Roku Channel.

It’s a shame that, in the 2020s, it’s impossible to say Roseanne Barr ’s name without grimacing —because in the late 20th century, she was both the face of and the driving force behind the rare family sitcom that did justice to the struggles of working-class Americans. Barr’s politics may not hold up these days, but Roseanne ’s feel as fresh and pithy as ever, featuring ahead-of-their-time storylines about same-sex marriage, abortion, and the fallout of a recession.

Saturday Night Live

Nearly half a century after its 1975 debut, Saturday Night Live , for all its many highs and lows , remains a one-of-a-kind TV institution that has launched three generations’ worth of comedy stars. Peacock has all 49 seasons, which means you can dip into any golden era you please, from Gilda Radner , John Belushi, and Bill Murray ’s pioneering ’70s run to Eddie Murphy carrying the whole show in the early ’80s to Tina Fey’s girl-power era at the turn of the millennium, anchored by Amy Poehler , Maya Rudolph , Kristen Wiig , and Rachel Dratch . You can also keep up with new episodes, as they air, from a current lineup featuring breakouts like Bowen Yang and Chloe Fineman . And if you love SNL , consider checking out the shorter-lived but more consistently hilarious Canadian cult sketch comedy The Kids in the Hall , also on Peacock.

Also of note: Modern Family , Brooklyn Nine-Nine , Grand Crew , Everybody Loves Raymond , Everybody Hates Chris , George Lopez , Extras , Coupling , Good Times , Sanford and Son , The Carol Burnett Show , The Dick Van Dyke Show

Best Drama Series on Peacock

Mrs. davis*.

Co-creator Damon Lindelof , of Lost , The Leftovers , and Watchmen fame, teams up with GLOW standout Betty Gilpin in this wild, hard-to-classify adventure story about AI , religion, and the quest for deeper meaning that defines any examined life. Mrs. Davis is not a perfect show—the quirk quotient might be a bit high for some viewers—but it deserves a lot more attention than it received upon its 2023 release. Lindelof’s ambition is bracing, while Gilpin’s performance as an unconventional nun is dynamic and endearing. And the limited series does a remarkable job of balancing action and pathos, comedy and drama, high-level ideas and goofy fun.

The Capture*

When Peacock launched in 2020, this British surveillance thriller was the best of the service’s original offerings . Fast-paced, cerebral, and deeply paranoid, its tale of a soldier (Shaun Emery, in a BAFTA-winning performance) acquitted of murder only to turn up in CCTV footage attacking his lawyer turned love interest, is a bit like The Conversation for the era of deepfakes.

Downton Abbey

Despite its Masterpiece pedigree, Julian Fellowes’ surprise-hit love letter to the post-Edwardian British aristocracy devolved pretty quickly from high-minded period drama to prestige soap. But however you classify the saga of the Crawley clan’s struggle to maintain their eponymous country estate amid the barbarity of modernization, there’s no doubt that its first few seasons delivered plenty of drama, wit (mostly courtesy of Maggie Smith’s quippy matriarch), pretty dresses, and upstairs-downstairs intrigue. As rumors of an upcoming seventh season continue to swirl, feel free to stop after Season 3’s shocker finale, after which the show’s quality nosedived, and be aware that neither of the two inessential Downton movies is on Peacock.

If you like Poker Face , you absolutely must acquaint yourself with its biggest inspiration , this iconic howcatchem starring Peter Falk as an idiosyncratic, unassuming, but reliably brilliant detective with the LAPD. Standalone episodes ranging from 70 to 95 minutes are essentially short movies, directed by the likes of Jonathan Demme and Steven Spielberg , with an unparalleled list of guest stars that included Johnny Cash, Faye Dunaway, Ricardo Montalbán, Dick Van Dyke, Ida Lupino, Lee Grant, Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner, and so many more.

Also of note: Yellowstone , Suits , Bel-Air , Heroes , Shameless UK, Monk , Law & Order franchise , Murder, She Wrote , Ripper Street , Lonesome Dove , Alfred Hitchcock Presents

Best Reality Series on Peacock

The traitors*.

A combination of a fun premise—the party game Mafia meets the cozy mystery genre—and an excellent host, Alan Cumming, make this Peacock original the best competition show in recent memory. While the American version leans, for better and worse, on established reality TV personalities like Phaedra Parks and Kate Chastain, seasons imported from the UK, Australia, and soon New Zealand recruit regular people from all walks of life to sniff out the “traitors” in their midst who are slowly “murdering” cast mates in hopes of stealing a six-figure cash prize.

The Real Housewives franchise

Nearly 20 years and over 1,500 episodes in, Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise remains one of the most enduring and influential reality TV powerhouses of all time. While the Bravo empire has been facing somewhat of a reckoning of late, the 10 Housewives iterations currently on the network’s roster—along with spin-offs like Vanderpump Rules —continue to shape culture, fuel discourse, and serve up an abundance of memeable moments.

Most of the cities have had their own run of golden years, but as things stand now, Beverly Hills, Miami, and, of course, Salt Lake City, are leading the pack in terms of compelling cast chemistry, riveting drama, and over-the-top personalities. And we have the "receipts, proof, timelines, screenshots” to prove it. —Megan McCluskey

Vanderpump Rules

If Beverly Hills alum Lisa Vanderpump wasn’t on hand to dispense tough love to the servers, bartenders, and self-styled superstar DJs who populate this workplace docusoap, it would be easy to forget it’s a Real Housewives spin-off. Because now, in the wake of 2023’s tabloid-consuming “Scandoval” storyline , Vanderpump Rules is one of the most talked-about TV series in any genre. What’s most remarkable about the show is its longevity. What began as a gossipy peek behind the gauzy curtains of Vanderpump’s West Hollywood restaurant SUR has hardened, over a decade’s worth of drunkenness, infidelity, and bar fights, into an institution. Fans of what has become the defining soap opera of the millennial generation have watched a cast introduced as 20-somethings date, marry, divorce, and emerge at the gates of middle age, some wiser for the wear than others. The show even has a spin-off of its own, The Valley , which follows some cast members as they decamp to the suburbs in pursuit of late-onset adulthood.

Below Deck franchise

Part upstairs-downstairs drama, part workplace comedy with all the salaciousness (and tears) of a dating competition, Bravo’s Below Deck is the nautical reality series you never knew you needed. Each season of the show, which over the years has expanded to include four spin-offs, centers on a captain and their crew as they work hard and play harder while catering to a rotation of ultra-wealthy guests who charter their luxurious superyachts. As might be expected when a cast is sequestered on a boat for six weeks (the length of filming), tensions build and emotions run high, making the show a rich text for conflict, desire, and pathos, heightened by the class politics inherent to the setup. —Cady Lang

Project Runway

Bravo is best known these days for its docusoaps, but in its slightly more prestigious years, it set the template for creative competitions with this search for the next big fashion designer. Project Runway ’s first five seasons—especially the character-packed debut and Season 4, featuring the series’ biggest success story, Christian Siriano—which preceded a temporary move to Lifetime that blunted its edge, are classics. But it’s remained fairly watchable since then, even as original host Heidi Klum, mentor Tim Gunn, and sassy judge Michael Kors have left and been replaced by adequate but less-entertaining industry luminaries (including Siriano).

Tom Colicchio ’s culinary sister show of sorts to Project Runway surpassed its predecessor a while back. Alumni like Carla Hall , Richard Blais, Kwame Onwuachi , Melissa King, the Voltaggio brothers, Stephanie Izard, and many others have become renowned restaurateurs, food-TV personalities, and in some cases both; Season 10 winner Kristen Kish just returned to replace longtime host Padma Lakshmi . From its early, cutthroat years to its more recent embrace of diverse contestants and cuisines , Top Chef remains TV’s single best cooking competition.

Maybe it’s technically a game show more than a reality show, but however you categorize it, the original Japanese Iron Chef is a classic, pitting dozens of challenger chefs against an in-house trio of masters in French, Chinese, and Japanese cuisine. The long-running series’ 1993 premiere predated Top Chef , Chopped , and Hell’s Kitchen , and spawned American adaptations on Food Network and Netflix. To this day, none of its successors can touch Iron Chef 1.0 for sheer strangeness (cod roe ice cream, anyone?) and exuberance about the culinary arts.

Also of note: Keeping Up With the Kardashians , Love Island franchise (minus the UK original), Bad Girls Club franchise, The Voice

Cady Lang and Megan McCluskey also contributed to this list.

The 25 Best Shows On Peacock Right Now (May 2024)

Uproxx authors

NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service only launched a few years ago with The Office being the obvious flagship series, but the situation has changed a lot. Much like Netflix is becoming a stand-up comedy standout , no streaming service is currently better at serving up classic TV series with fresh additions.

Here are the best shows on Peacock you can watch now.

Last updated on April 29, 2024.

Year: 1975-Present Cast: Various Genre: Comedy Rating: TV-14 Runtime: 48 seasons Created by: Lorne Michaels Trailer: Watch here

Saturday Night Live is four decades into its run for a reason: the sketch comedy follows a classic formula that is uninterrupted by a rapidly changing world. While everyone has their favorite era of SNL (it usually depends on when you grew up) and it can be hit or miss, it’s reliable entertainment that introduced the entertainment business and the world to some of the greatest comedians including (but certainly not limited to) Martin Short, Will Ferrell, Bill Hader, and Kate McKinnon.

Watch it on Peacock

Year: 1982-1993 Cast: Ted Danson, Shelley Long, Woody Harrelson, Kelsey Grammer Genre: Comedy Rating: TV-14 Runtime: 11 seasons, 275 episodes Created by: Glen and Les Charles, James Burrows Trailer: Watch here

The heart-warming but sharp comedy series is as comforting as it is clever. The series, which dominated NBC primetime throughout the ’80s, follows a group of eccentric regulars at a Boston bar and its equally eccentric employees. A lot of sitcoms feel of their time, with pop culture references you have to Google to understand if you weren’t alive, too young, or simply don’t remember. Cheers looks a lot like the ’80s with its costumes and hairstyles, but the jokes feel just as fresh as they did when the original series aired.

3. Parks And Recreation

Year: 2009-2015 Cast: Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Aziz Ansari Genre: Comedy Rating: TV-14 Runtime: Seven seasons, 125 episodes Created by: Greg Daniels and Michael Schur Trailer: Watch here

What started as a riff on The Office but with a lady boss became, by its second season, one of the best network comedies of all time. The series explores the mundanities of working at city hall in the small, strange town of Pawnee, Indiana.

4. Friday Night Lights

Year: 2006-2011 Cast: Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton, Taylor Kitsch, Michael B. Jordan Genre: Drama Rating: TV-14 Runtime: Five seasons, 76 episodes Created by: Peter Berg Trailer: Watch here

A television show about a football team had no right to become one of the best television shows of the Golden Age and one of the best of all time. Among a group of prestige programming including The Sopranos and Mad Men , this little football show kept up in terms of quality, because it was always more about people and relationships than it was about the sport. It will make you cry buckets, and you won’t even be mad about it.

5. The Office

Year: 2005-2013 Cast: Steve Carell, John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson, Jenna Fischer Genre: Comedy Rating: TV-14 Runtime: Nine seasons, 201 episodes Created by: Greg Daniels Trailer: Watch here

Gen Z’s favorite comedy is a favorite for a reason. The sitcom that launched the single-cam revolution features one of the greatest performances ever from Steve Carell as the horrible but somehow sweet boss Michael Scott, with a sprawling cast of comic geniuses that worked like comedy magic together.

6. Law and Order: SVU

Year: 1999-Present Cast: Mariska Hargitay, Christopher Meloni, Ice-T Genre: Drama Rating: TV-14 Runtime: 24 seasons, 525 episodes Created by: Dick Wolf Trailer: Watch here

Even if you’ve never seen SVU , you probably know about Benson and Stabler. The crime procedural following cases in a Special Victims Unit in New York City is ideal for every kind of viewing: one episode at a time, a massive binge, while you’re working, or when you just want to sit down and pay attention to something.

Year: 1968-2003 Cast: Peter Falk Genre: Mystery Rating: TV-14 Runtime: 69 episodes Created by: Richard Levinson and William Link Trailer: Watch here

Ahhh, Columbo. As soon as you see that long beige coat, his thick cigar and hear him saw, “just one more thing” you will feel relief. On this sort of procedural, Detective Columbo catches killers by, for lack of better words, annoying the sh*t out of them. The series spans decades, and the first pilot, “Murder by the Book,” was directed by none other than the master, Stephen Spielberg.

8. Yellowstone

Year: 2018-Present Cast: Kevin Costner, Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley Genre: Drama, Western Rating: TV-MA Runtime: Five seasons, 47 episodes Created by: Taylor Sheridan and John Linson Trailer: Watch here

Everyone (a.k.a., everyone’s dad) is talking about Yellowstone for a reason: it’s like a contemporary western Game of Thrones. The neo-western starring Kevin Costner, which follows the dysfunctional Dutton family who has owned the Yellowstone Ranch (the largest ranch in Montana) for generations is filled with water-cooler talk-worthy moments of bloodshed and betrayal, if only there were water coolers anymore. I suppose group chats are the new water coolers?

Year: 2022-Present Cast: Jabrai Banks, Cassandra Freeman, Jimmy Akingbola Genre: Drama Rating: TV-MA tk Runtime: One season, ten episodes Created by: Morgan Cooper, Malcolm Spellman, TJ Brady, and Rasheed Newson Trailer: Watch here

Bel-Air is the most Peak TV show to ever Peak TV (in a good way). The series started off as a short film that reimagined The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air sitcom as a serious drama. Lo and behold, the edit is now a dramatic television series that dives into class and race, and makes Will’s culture shock upon moving from West Philly to Bel-Air more dramatic than comedic.

10. Mrs. Davis

Year: 2023 Cast: Betty Gilpin, Jake McDorman, Andy McQueen Genre: Science-Fiction, Comedy Rating: TV-MA Runtime: 8 episodes Created By: Tara Hernandez, Damon Lindelof Trailer: Watch here

In the wild sci-fi series, Mrs. Davis , Betty Gilpin stars as Sister Simone, an exiled nun hellbent on destroying a powerful AI named, you guessed it, Mrs. Davis. With her ex-boyfriend roped into her mission, Sister Simon sets off on a quest filled with religious relics, secret societies, tragic pasts, and an underground resistance movement that’s fighting to free a populace that’s maybe not all that interested in being liberated. This inventive, head-scratching series comes from Tara Hernandez and Lost writer Damon Lindelof, who’s coming in hot from his critically acclaimed Watchmen miniseries.

11. Girls5Eva

Year: 2021-Present Cast: Sara Bareilles, Busy Philipps, Paula Pell, Renée Elise Goldsberry Genre: Comedy Rating: TV-MA Runtime: Two seasons, 16 episodes Created by: Meredith Scardino Trailer: Watch here The comedy from executive producer Tina Fey about 40-something women who reunite their late 1990s/2000s girl group after decades apart gets bolder and weirder as it goes along. Although the girl group Girls5Rva is fake, the show, which calls back to the strange period of time that was Y2K, feels weirdly nostalgic. The original songs are better than most of the songs that win Oscars.

12. Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Year: 2013 Cast: Andy Samberg, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Andre Braugher Genre: Comedy Rating: TV-14 Runtime: 8 seasons Created By: Dan Goor, Michael Schur Trailer: Watch here Boasting one of the best comedy ensembles of all time, Brooklyn Nine-Nine focuses on Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and the detectives of the 99th Precinct as they adapt to the new leadership of incoming police chief Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). Together, this tight group of friends hilariously navigate crimes, personal problems, and the inner-workings of the NYPD as they grapple with life as a cop. It’s not your usual spin on the police genre, but that’s what makes Brooklyn Nine-Nine so great and one of the most recommend binge watches out there.

13. New Girl

Year: 2011 Cast: Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfeld, Lamorne Morris Genre: Comedy Rating: TV-14 Runtime: 7 seasons Created By: Elizabeth Meriweather Trailer: Watch here

After a bad breakup, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) moves into an apartment with the directionless bartender Nick (Jake Johnson), the looks-obsessed corporate bro (Schmidt), and the struggling pro athlete Winston (Lamorne Morris). Their dysfunctional group dynamic sets the stage for New Girl , which quickly earned its place alongside shows like Friends as one of the top comfort sitcoms that’s perfect for bingeing. The show really hits its stride in Season 2 as the shared apartment life of Jess, Nick, Schmidt, and Winston really starts to gel, and a TV romance for the ages starts to bloom.

14. 30 Rock

Year: 2006-2013 Cast: Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Jane Krakowski Genre: Comedy Rating: TV-14 Runtime: Seven seasons, 138 episodes Created by: Tina Fey Trailer: Watch here

Former SNL writer Tina Fey’s meta NBC comedy about writing a late-night sketch comedy for NBC is a classic, known for its idiosyncratic characters and rapid pace: there are jokes almost every single second, maybe even more than that, but we won’t do the math. The series was the perfect satire for the strange time that was the late aughts/early 2010s, blending political commentary with pop culture commentary, all wrapped up in an NBC show that very frequently made fun of NBC and capitalism.

15. Based on a True Story

Year: 2023 Cast: Kaley Cuoco, Chris Messina, Tom Bateman Genre: Comedy Rating: TV-MA Runtime: 8 episodes Created By: Craig Rosenberg Trailer: Watch here

Based on a True Story follows Ava (Kaley Cuoco) and Nathan (Chris Messina) as a married couple stuck in the midlife doldrums. Nathan’s tennis career is over, the bills are stacking up, and a baby is on the way. Their marriage has seen better days. Thanks to Ava’s obsession with true crime, an opportunity drops in their laps. Their family friend is implicated in a series of murders, so Ava concocts a plan to blackmail him into creating a podcast about his crimes. Is working with an alleged serial killer a great idea? Nope, and Ava and Nathan will learn that lesson the hard way.

16. Quantum Leap

Year: 2022 Cast: Raymond Lee, Caitlin Bassett, Ernie Hudson Genre: Sci-Fi Rating: TV-PG Runtime: 18 episodes Created By: Donald P. Bellisario, Steven Lilien, Bryan Wynbrandt Trailer: Watch here

In this revival of the classic TV series, Quantum Leap , Dr. Ben Song (Raymond Lee) and his team restart the accelerator project that led to the disappearance of Dr. Sam Beckett (Scott Bakula) 30 years ago. While trying to solve the mystery of the machine, Song uploads new program code into the accelerator and finds himself pulled back in time. Like Beckett, Song leaps from body to body as he’s tasked with righting the lives of others before he can make his next jump, and hopefully, find his way home. As for where Song’s code came from, that’s another question that has the Quantum Leap team scrambling for answers.

17. A Friend Of The Family

Year: 2022 Cast: Jake Lacy, Anna Paquin, Colin Hanks, Lio Tipton, McKenna Grace Genre: Drama, Crime Runtime: One season, 9 episodes Created by: Nick Antosca Trailer: Watch here

Top 10 Time Travel Movies on Peacock

Time Traveller’s Wife

Number one in line is the Time Traveler’s Wife. Based on an exceptionally well-written novel by American author Audrey Niffenegger.

The movie is an adaptation of an enchanting love story about a couple that stood the test of time. Henry suffers from a usual disease which leads him to time travel. Also, the movie focuses on the wife’s yearning for the love of his life. The movie is a perfect American of Sci-Fi and romance, a genetic order leading a path toward love and marriage.

Henry suffered from the disorder of time travel at the age of 5, and his first encounter with Clare was in a library when Clare was only 20 and Henry was 28. He does not know where he is, when he vanishes and when he will come back. He has no control over his existence.

However, Clare stands witness to all the visits Henry paid to her. She falls in love with every version of Henry’s age.

The loving wait that a wife dies for her husband, the stories she tells, and the dates they write to Remember the memories all encapsulate the viewer into an emotional roller coaster ride.

The story takes another sensitive twist when Clare has six miscarriages because of Henry’s anomaly. Yet can give birth to a beautiful daughter named Alba. Misfortune hits the couple as Alba is also born with the same anomaly that Henry has been suffering all his life.

Yet the good thing is she can control her time travel. However, Henry discovered that he would die when Alba was 5. The story ends on a note when Henry dies. However, the couple meets again when Clare is old and Henry is 43.

The last scene gives the audience goosebumps as it ends when Clare is sitting and waiting for Henry in her old age as she always did.

Time Traveller: The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

This extraordinary tale is an adaptation of Japanese Sci-Fi. It is a story of a young girl who time travels to give a message to her mother’s lover. Kazuko, the mother, innovates a time travel formula but is unfortunately caught up in an accident.

On her quest to find her mother’s lost love, Akari, the brave daughter, finds Kazuo, the lover. He shares beautiful high school memories and tells how he inhaled the time travel formula and disappeared forever.

During her journey, she meets Ryota, and they both fall in love. However, they are caught up in a difficult time’s fate and are sadly parted. Akari, time travels are released that she will lose Ryota forever in a bus crash.

Though she wanted to save him, Kazuo erases her memory forever. All she’s left with is a feeling of emptiness in her heart. However, she is well aware that an empty spot in her heart had something valuable.

Back to the Future

A 1985 American Sci-Fi, Back to the Future, gives us a clear glimpse of human innovations and the inventions that are likely to happen. The movie revolves around the idea of controlling one’s destiny.

Man can stand against all odds and betray time. The Future depends on the decisions we make in the present. Many failures meet an eccentric scientist who invents the time travel machine powered by plutonium. On their way into 1955, the group time travels and sees the epic marvels mankind will discover in the future years.

Change in the lives of families and friends, struggling in the past, and the teenagers realize their past doings, decisions, and present conditions. Furthermore, many obstacles come their way, and the full-time travel into the Future is a topsy turvy ride.

However, not only do they discover their future aspirations, but they also find out a more authentic version of themself that they hope to stick to in the Future.

A Spanish movie filled with twists and turns mirrors the 1989 fall of the Berlin Wall when a boy named Nico accidentally dies in a car crash while witnessing a storm.

The movie fast-forwards to 2014 when a couple with a young daughter comes to live at Nico’s house. They found the recorded video and Nico’s cassettes and started to play them. The family is hit by a similar storm and is caught up in a timelapse.

The family uncovers hidden truths and witnesses that the husband is cheating on them. TheStory moves between the present reality and the Future. It also foreshadows the incidents of the past. However, It ends on a hopeful note when the wife files a case against the cheating husband and reports that Nico’s body is buried beneath the house.

Interstellar

It is a phenomenal movie about a group of astronauts who decide to travel near a wormhole. That is located alongside Saturn. Their goal is to find a new home for mankind since Earth has become unsuitable for the species.

Twelve volunteers willingly visit a parallel galaxy to prove that the atmosphere is suitable for humans. Three of them show a positive response; however, time stops for them when Cooper, a former pilot from NASA, comes back. He sees that his 10-year-old daughter has now turned into an old woman.

The Adam’s Project:

This great movie unfolds a story of a young fighter pilot Adam who unfortunately crashes on modern 2022 Earth. There he finds his young former self as a 12-year-old kid. The story moves back and forth as Adam discovers human relationships along his journey.

He somehow manages to traverse time and, with the help of his DNA, find his way back to his jet. He embarks on a journey to stop time travel and stabilize the timelines. He becomes successful by creating time zones that match both Future and present Adam’s realities.

Groundhog Day

The film was set in 1993. It encapsulates the theme of a time loop in which the main protagonist gets himself stuck in one spot in time and repeats his reality repeatedly. The groundhog day celebration becomes an Infinity that he lives by every day. This rom-com drama fantasy gives you a hilarious roller coaster ride.

However, it is built on the theme that every day is a blessing and that you can fix your own mistakes and past doings.

In the wake of an unknown virus, civilization is predicted to be wiped entirely off; therefore, a criminal is asked to time travel into the past and find the root cause for generating the virus.

However, going to the mid-’90s was not an easy task. Belonging to a lowly criminal background, the protagonist faces many consequences. Finding his way through a mental Asylum and making friends on the way, he questions as own reality and finds himself caught between a doomed past and a strange and peculiar future.

This light-hearted rom-com takes you on a journey of self-discovery within the limits of time. Tim finds out that his family is blessed with secret superpowers to travel across time.

On his 21st birthday, he can also experience the same ability. He embraces the power to revisit one of the best moments of his life. Reminiscing the past, he witnesses memories and finds the love of his life, Mary. He realizes the truth behind every lived moment and cherishes every instance of his life.

Edge of Tomorrow

Starring Tom Cruise, Edge of Tomorrow is an epic tale that is a perfect mix of a doomed battlefield, alien invasions, thrilling actions, and love. The Hero is bitten by an alien infection and is struck in a time loop where he dies after every 24 hours.

A massive alien invasion has struck the city of London, and during wartime atrocities, he finds Rita, who also experiences the same infection. Time and again, they live the same day and die every day.

However, their repeated actions and monotonous time routine help them find their way out of their misery.

Can’t find anything you like on Peacock? Lucky for you, we’ve also curated guides to the best shows on Netflix , the best shows on Hulu , and the best shows on Amazon Prime Video .

The Tattooist of Auschwitz (2024)

Harvey Keitel and Melanie Lynskey ( Yellowjackets ) star in this historical drama based on the Heather Morris book of the same name. Keitel is Lale Sokolov (Jonah Hauer-King plays a younger version of him), a Jewish prisoner in the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp during the second World War. His harrowing job is to tattoo ID numbers on his fellow prisoners, effectively marking them for death. Through his work, however, Lale meets Gita (Anna Próchniak) and the two begin a romance rooted in helping one another stay alive through the terrifying experience.

What makes The Tattooist of Auschwitz so compelling is that it’s inspired by the real story of Lale and Gita, told through the lens of Lale 60 years later as he meets novice writer Morris (played by Lynskey) and courageously tells his story. Now in his 80s, Lale recounts the awful experience, which is juxtaposed with the beautiful, yet heart-wrenching memories of a touching love story amid devastating circumstances.

  • The best feel-good movies on Netflix right now
  • The best shows on Disney+ right now (May 2024)

We Are Lady Parts (2021)

One of Peacock’s most interesting hidden gems, We Are Lady Parts is a British sitcom with a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes critics score . The Channel 4 series centers around an all-female Muslim punk bank in the U.K. and follows their journey to success. The road, however, is paved with cultural differences as the group navigates a fraught path to stardom.

Created, written and directed by, and starring Nida Manzoor, the second season of We Are Lady Parts comes two-and-a-half years after the first season of six episodes delighted viewers. Season 2 features cameos from education activist Malala Yousafzai and comedian Meera Syal in season 2. Similarly to shows like Ramy , the series sheds light on the Muslim experience and breaks misconceptions and stereotypes by presenting a more rebellious look at those who balance their religious beliefs with modern-day personalities and sometimes questionable decisions. USA Today’s Kelly Lawler calls the show “short, pithy, and outrageously funny,” ranking it among her top five shows of 2021.

Perry Mason (1957)

One of the first legal dramas that inspired so many that came after it, Perry Mason was broadcast from the late 1050s to the early ’60s. The story centers around the title character, played by Raymond Burr, a criminal defense lawyer in Los Angeles who works to fight for justice for his often wrongly accused clients.

Earning several Emmy nominations through its run, including one for Outstanding Dramatic Series for its first season, Perry Mason rose up the ranks to become one of the most popular shows on TV at the time. It’s one of the longest-running legal dramas, having aired for nine seasons, and has continued to air in syndication. You can now stream the first five seasons on Peacock.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999)

Community (2009).

While Community wasn’t initially a hit when it started airing on NBC back in 2009, the sitcom with a fabulous ensemble cast eventually developed a cult following. Running for six seasons, the setting is a community college in a fictional town and follows a group of mature students studying there, each for various reasons. Joel McHale heads up the cast as Jeff, a former lawyer who enrolls after being suspended by the state bar for lying about his education. When he takes a liking to a fellow student named Britta (Gillian Jacobs) and starts a study group, it attracts an eclectic mix of other students, from the socially awkward Abed (Danny Pudi) to the over-achiever Annie (Alison Brie) and the racist millionaire Pierce (Chevy Chase).

Community , which also stars Donald Glover, Yvette Nicole Brown, Ken Jeong, and Jim Rash, excels at delivering meta-humor and timely pop culture references, parodying some of the most common clichés and tropes in movies and TV shows. The show’s hilarious story of people from all backgrounds coming together, despite their differing priorities and views on life, will have you laughing heartily during every episode. Fans were sad to see the show end, but with a feature-length revival movie coming out on Peacock soon, the story will continue.

Orlando Bloom: To the Edge (2024)

Orlando Bloom is the latest actor to venture out into the wilderness to explore the great outdoors in his own docuseries. In Orlando Bloom: To The Edge , the actor, known for roles in the Pirates of the Caribbean and The Lord of the Rings film series, tries to push himself to the edge, exploring terrains and experiences he never thought possible. Think the highest cliffs, deepest depths, and high in the skies.

Delivered in three parts, Bloom promises that this is a journey of self-discovery, spiritual awakenings, and overcoming fears, all led by his study of Buddhist practices. “I’m training to attempt three extremely dangerous sports,” he says. “It’s challenging, but it’s not impossible.” If you like shows like Limitless with Chris Hemsworth , Orlando Bloom: To The Edge will be right up your alley.

Luther (2010)

This British psychological crime thriller stars Idris Elba as Detective Chief Inspector (DCI) John Luther, who investigates serious crimes. While he has a violent side, it’s mostly because Luther is dedicated to his job, sometimes to the point of obsession. He also becomes deeply consumed by the troubling cases he encounters, fueling a darkness within him. Through the series, he grows close to Alice Morgan (Ruth Wilson), a psychopathic murderer he wasn’t able to convict. She becomes fixated on him, but he feels the same, finding her insight useful in helping him pursue and capture other criminals. He’s torn between his obligation to the law and his fascination with her.

Receiving rave reviews in large part thanks to Elba’s gripping performance, Luther is not your typical police procedural. While it has a procedural feel, the twist will leave you feeling gutted and confused about how a man with such an honorable job can warm to someone so evil. The only criticism of the series is that every season is far too short, with only a total of 20 episodes over the five seasons. A follow-up movie called Luther: The Fallen Sun , streaming on Netflix, was released in 2023. It’s worth a watch once you’re done binging the full series.

Parks and Recreation (2009)

The nanny (1993).

Fran Drescher serves as the outspoken president of the SAG-AFTRA union, and recently led the charge during the recent writer’s and actor’s strikes. But back in the ‘90s, she starred in her most iconic sitcom role as Fran Fine in The Nanny. When Fran, a Jewish fashionista with a distinctly nasal voice, takes a job as a nanny for the three children of widowed Broadway producer Maxwell (Charles Shaughnessy), the lifestyle she knew is turned upside down.

As a sitcom, The Nanny is all about the humor in Fran’s interactions with the kids and Maxwell. It’s a fish-out-of-water story as Fran acclimates to high society life. But at its heart, it’s also a story about this woman who comes from a lower-class upbringing teaching the young, upper-class children important life lessons and street smarts, things they’d likely never have learned otherwise — and certainly not in the same unconventional way. Of course, there’s also a love story as Maxwell and Fran slowly fall for one another. The Nanny is arguably one of the most underrated sitcoms of that decade, and now’s the perfect time to watch it.

Megamind Rules! (2024)

A companion series to Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate , a new movie also now streaming on Peacock, Megamind Rules! is an animated series based on the movie Megamind . In the 2010 movie, Megamind is an alien supervillain who creates an even bigger villain in Metro Man. But when his creation gets out of control, he must do what’s needed to stop him. By the end of the movie, Megamind has switched from villain to hero.

Megamind Rules! is a follow-up to the events in the movie. Now, Megamind is learning how to be a superhero, and apparently, how to be a superhero influencer as well, thanks to his brainbots who are filming his training. Even though he’s a good guy now, however, Megamind still has to keep his cover as a villain to stop his former team, the Doom Syndicate, from infiltrating Metro City. Keith Ferguson voices Megamind, who was voiced by Will Ferrell in the movie. Megamind spawned a cult following over the years, and Megamind Rules! is a refreshing new spin on the story and characters.

In the Know (2024)

Mike Judge knows the irreverent humor genre inside and out, having created popular adult animated shows like Beavis and Butt-Head and King of the Hill , along with comedy gems like Silicon Valley and Office Space . His latest creation in partnership with Zach Woods ( Silicon Valley, Avenue 5 ) combines the best of both animated and live-action worlds. In The Know is a stop-motion animated workplace comedy about a hypocritical, though well-meaning public radio host named Lauren (Woods). His fictional NPR show is called In the Know , and in every episode, he interviews human guests, appearing as their non-animated selves, from the real world.

His staff and crew are there to help, but they’re just as clueless as he is at times. This includes his co-executive producer Barb ( Succession ’s J. Smith Cameron), researcher and fact-checker Fabian (Caitlin Reilly), and college intern Chase (Charlie Bushnell). Judge himself also voices the role of Sandy, the culture critic on the show. In the Know is a comedy, but it also cleverly places a mirror in front of viewers, mocking the sanctimonious nature of many of society’s actions. Thus, while In The Know ’s stop-motion-animated characters are adorably cute, there’s deeper, satirical, political commentary behind the story.

The Kings of Queens: The Run DMC Story (2024)

If you grew up with the music of Run DMC, you’ll want to run, not walk to check out this three-part docuseries about the iconic legends of hip-hop music and culture. Run DMC was one of the most influential hip-hop groups in history, not only because of their contribution to the popularization of the genre, but also their ability to break down racial barriers. Joseph “Rev, Run” Simmons and Darryl “DMC” McDaniels are joined by other legends in the music industry to discuss their rise to fame, career trajectory, and their pasts. They also examine the history of hip-hop music and where it’s headed.

King From Queens: The Run DMC Story promises never-before-seen archival footage, as well as never-before-told stories. Some of the stars you can expect to see make appearances include Ice-T, LL Cool J, MC Lyte, Ice Cube, Questlove, Beastie Boys, and more. It’s like a love letter to ’80s and ’90s hip-hop.

Ted is one of the most adorable, squeezable teddy bear characters around. But he’s also vulgar, offensive, and downright inappropriate. If you love the movie Ted and its sequel Ted 2 , both of which star Mark Wahlberg along with the voice of Seth MacFarlane (who created the movies), you’ll love the comedy series of the same name. Also created by MacFarlane, Ted is a prequel set in the ‘90s, telling the story of young John Bennet (Max Burkholder portraying a younger version of the character played by Wahlberg in the movies) coming-of-age alongside his teddy bear friend.

Ted is just as raunchy in this series as he is in the movies, despite John being an impressionable 16-year-old (and sometimes entirely because of this). The show is ironically presented like a traditional sitcom (don’t watch this with kids!), only with a vulgar tone and consistent foul language. The sophomoric humor and frat boy jokes are exactly what you want from this dynamic duo, beautifully challenged by John’s feminist college-aged cousin Blaire (Giorgia Whigham) and his sickly-sweet mom Susan (Alanna Ubach). Scott Grimes is a stand-out, as well as John’s crass, deeply racist veteran father, Matty. Once you get through the eight episodes of ted, you’ll be queueing up Ted (the movie) to watch it again.

The Traitors (2023)

As far as reality shows go, The Traitors is up there as one of just a handful that receives overwhelmingly positive reviews. Exclusive to Peacock, the series, which has since spawned a Canadian version (which, like the American version, is based on the British series of the same name), is hosted by Alan Cumming. It’s like the party game Mafia brought to life, with players working together to eliminate others until a final winner remains. The twist is that there are traitors among the “faithfuls” and figuring out who’s who while hiding your own identity is where the mystery and strategy lies. Either the faithful will win together by eliminating all traitors and dividing the $250,000 prize pot, or the single remaining traitor will take home the money if they can fool everyone.

There are rewards, secret vote-outs, missions, and more that make The Traitors an exciting watch for those who are interested in more cerebral, less physical reality TV. While critics weren’t excited about the choice of players for season 1, which includes mainly people who have competed on other reality shows like The Bachelor and Big Brother , the drama, tension, and suspense make the series an entertaining watch. Each person brings their own unique spin and strategy type to the table.

Dr. Death (2021)

Dr. Death features a star-studded cast in its first season, including Joshua Jackson, Alec Baldwin, Christian Slater, Grace Gummer, and AnnaSophia Robb. That, along with the fact that the crime drama is based on the popular Wondery podcast of the same name, points to the series being the perfect match for any fan of the true-crime genre. Season 1 is based on the story of Dr. Christopher Duntsch, who was accused of injuring dozens of patients and killing two before his medical license was revoked (and he was eventually convicted). It’s a gripping tale about an evil doctor who makes his own rules and manages to get away with it — until he meets his match in a young and determined assistant district attorney.

Season 2 flips the script to a different story altogether, albeit one in the same vein. The central character is Paolo Macchiarini (Edgar Ramirez), a Swiss-Italian surgeon and medical researcher accused of performing unethical and experimental surgeries on patients, even those who were considered healthy. Mandy Moore plays a starring role as well. If you’re fascinated by the story, check out the companion documentary Dr. Death: Cutthroat Conman about Macchiarini, which is also streaming on Peacock.

Transplant (2020)

Monk (2002).

Before starring as Midge Maisel’s quirky father in the Amazon Prime Video series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Tony Shalhoub played another character with quirks in this comedy-drama. While Monk is technically a police procedural, the series also takes a comedic tone at times. Adrian Monk (Shalhoub) is a detective who suffers a nervous breakdown following the suspicious death of his wife. This also causes his symptoms relating to obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) to worsen. But he manages to return to work as a private detective, solving every case that comes across his desk.

Monk won eight Emmy Awards and broke viewership records. Now is the perfect time to binge the series for the first time, or over again, then check out the Peacock original follow-up film Mr. Monk’s Last Case: A Monk Movie . Actors from the original, including Shalhoub as the title character, return to reprise their roles for one last send-off.

Found (2023)

This procedural drama has an interesting premise that has instantly drawn fans in. Gabi Mosley (Shanola Hampton) is a recovery specialist who works with a crisis management team to locate missing people. She chose this career path for a specific reason: she herself was kidnapped when she was a teenager and understandably never fully got over the trauma. But she uses it to help drive her forward and help others in similar situations. But she gets some help in an unusual way.

Where the intriguing twist lies, however, is in the fact that Gabi has managed to locate her former captor, Hugh “Sir” Evans (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and has been keeping him locked in her basement for months. She uses her own twisted sense of justice by pressing him for help in her cases: he’s a skilled manipulator and has experience in kidnapping himself, after all, likely to have victimized others over the years as well. How long can Gabi keep this up, and what are the implications of her own criminal behavior, especially if it’s ever discovered? Stream episodes of Found , which has become Peacock’s most successful show to date, the day after they air on NBC.

Superstore (2015)

The king of queens (1998).

Doug and Carrie Heffernan are a working-class married couple in New York with no kids, and they’re just struggling to get by. Making things especially difficult, however, is that Carrie’s demanding and scheming elderly father, Arthur, lives in the basement. He is always up to one scheme or another and often gets Doug involved, leaving Carrie to clean up their messes.

Doug is the relatable husband: He works a traditional job and loves watching sports, eating junk food, and hanging with the guys. Carrie, meanwhile, is the demanding yet sweet and caring wife who is trying to find her career footing while caring for her often frustrating father. For a show that takes place most of the time in the Heffernan home, it’s a testament to the three leads that each episode is as engaging as the next. In September 2023, the series celebrated its 25 th anniversary with both Leah Remini and Kevin James posting fond memories of the show and working with the late Jerry Stiller, who played Arthur. Fans weighed in as well, some noting they have three generations of family members who have watched and enjoyed the show through the decades in syndication.

Killing It (2022)

Killing It stars Craig Robinson ( The Office ) as Craig, a security guard desperate to achieve the American dream. And he’s willing to do just about anything  to realize his dreams, even participate in a dangerous python hunt set up by the local government to help prevent an ecological disaster. The person who brings in the most dead snakes gets $20,000, an offer that’s far too tempting to refuse.

The premise might sound silly, but given Robinson’s comedic track record, along with the show hailing from the creators of Brooklyn Nine-Nine , Dan Goor and Luke Del Tredici (who also serve as showrunners), it brings the laughs. The logline says the show is a comedy about “class, capitalism, and one man’s quest to achieve the American dream. And also about hunting really big snakes.” That about says it all.

Twisted Metal (2023)

Anthony Mackie heads up the cast of this postapocalyptic action comedy based on the vehicle combat video game franchise of the same name from Sony Interactive Entertainment. He plays John Doe, a man who is promised a better life if he can accomplish one simple task: deliver a package across the wasteland. But there are dangerous marauders chasing after him, including a killer clown named Sweet Tooth (portrayed by wrestler Samoa Joe, with Will Arnett voicing the character). With the help of a car thief named Quiet ( Brooklyn Nine-Nine ’s Stephanie Beatriz), however, the motor-mouthed Doe might finally be able to change the trajectory of his life, if he can just succeed with this not-so-simple mission.

Twisted Metal has an impressive supporting cast as well, including Thomas Haden Church ( Divorce ), Richard Cabral ( Mayans M.C. ), Neve Campbell ( The Lincoln Lawyer ), and Saturday Night Live cast member Chloe Fineman.

Based on a True Story (2023)

The perfect show for fans of true crime , Based on a True Story is absurd and ridiculous in its premise. But the cast and the twists and turns, along with the level of anticipation from each episode to the next, will have you binging the entire eight-episode first season in one sitting. Kaley Cuoco and Chris Messina star as Ava and Nathan, a married couple struggling to pay the bills and keep up with their wealthy friends when a strange opportunity presents itself. They identify a serial killer known as the West Side Ripper, and it turns out, the person is someone they happen to know.

Rather than go to the police, they decide to present him with an opportunity: sit down with them for an anonymous true crime podcast, stop the killings, and they won’t go to the police. Naturally, putting such star power into the hands of a charming, narcissistic killer isn’t going to end well, as Ana and Nathan quickly find out when the situation becomes more than they can handle. The comedy thriller, co-produced by Jason Bateman, is hilariously dark, but also perfect escapist fun for fans of true crime and shows like Only Murders in the Building and Poker Face .

Rainn Wilson and the Geography of Bliss (2023)

The Office ’s Rainn Wilson  joins the growing list of celebrities with their own docuseries about living life, exploration, and uncovering truths and exciting facts about the world. In Rainn Wilson and the Geography of Bliss , the actor travels around the world looking to learn the secrets behind both the happiest and unhappiest places on Earth. He swims in the frozen waters of the North Atlantic, dances, meditates, and gets to know people from all walks of life.

Revealing that he himself struggles to find happiness and has been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, Wilson discovers that happiness is, in large part, a matter of perspective. He sets out to find personal bliss and takes viewers on a joyous journey along with him.

Bupkis (2023)

If you, like many others, are fascinated by the success of Pete Davidson, you will appreciate Bupkis , an action comedy where the former Saturday Night Live (SNL) cast member and comedian plays a fictionalized version of himself. Davidson stars alongside Edie Falco as his mother and Joe Pesci as his grandfather, but the series also has a lengthy and eclectic list of guest stars including Bobby Cannavale, Ray Romano, Charlie Day, Sebastian Stan, Steve Buscemi, J.J. Abrams, Al Gore, Jon Stewart, and Method Man. It’s a who’s who of everyone from comedians and actors to musicians, directors, and politicians.

“I try to do nice things,” Davidson is heard saying in one scene in the trailer, “but they still think I’m a joke.” Bupkis highlights the qualities that make Davidson endearing, funny, charming, and likable, along with tackling the challenges he has faced with fame. Even if it’s embellished fiction, Bupkis is, in some ways, an intimate look at a young man’s life, struggles, and triumphs.

Mrs. Davis (2023)

A nun, an artificial intelligence (AI) that has wrapped its clutches around humans, and a quest to stop it. That’s the gist of Mrs. Davis , a fun new sci-fi drama  that stars Betty Gilpin ( GLOW ) as a nun named Simone who finds herself on a mission. She not only has to stop the controlling AI known as Mrs. Davis, but she must also search for the Holy Grail it wants her to find and destroy it before the AI does something nefarious.

The show, which comes across a bit like art imitating life given the current rise in AI chatbots, is part entertainment and part a possible warning about our potential future. The series, which hails from some of the minds behind shows like The Big Bang Theory, Lost , and Watchmen , purports to offer an interesting mix of drama, comedic moments, and action. With the recent launches of chatbots like ChatGPT , Google’s Bard, and Bing, Mrs. Davis couldn’t come at a more opportune time.

New Girl (2011)

One of the best, most underrated sitcoms of the last 15 years, New Girl  originally aired on Fox from 2011 to 2018. Now, all seven seasons are available to stream on Peacock. The story follows Jess, a young woman who, after discovering her boyfriend is cheating on her, replies to an ad from three young men looking for a roommate. Before they know what hits them, the quirky young woman moves in and the four begin a beautiful friendship.

As the friends date, deal with career and personal challenges, and a romance brews between two of them, it’s a wild and hilarious ride. New Girl is the type of show you’ll want to binge multiple episodes of at once, and it’s worth going through the entire, seven-season run to get to a satisfying ending.

Bel-Air (2022)

That '70s show (1998), poker face (2023), the capture (2019).

Originally airing on BBC One in 2019, this British mystery crime drama is set in present-day London, where detective inspector Rachel Carey (Holliday Grainger) has arrested a U.K. Special Forces corporal named Shaun (Callum Turner) for alleged kidnapping and murder. Mysteriously, while CCTV footage makes it impossible to dispute the charges against him, he is adamant that it’s all a conspiracy and that he didn’t do it. Somewhere amidst the drama lies the truth.

There are just six episodes in the first season of this series that have been credited with “revitalizing…a tired genre.” The second season follows another main character, a rising politician named Isaac (Paapa Essiedu) who finds himself in a similar deep fake situation that puts him at the center of another conspiracy. Rachel, once again, is tasked with uncovering the truth before it’s too late.

Saturday Night Live (1975)

The amber ruffin show (2020), angelyne (2022), this is us (2016), yellowstone (2018), curious george (2006), sanford and son (1972), macgruber (2021), weeds (2005), the office (2005), modern family (2009), zoey's extraordinary playlist (2020), mr. mercedes (2017), 30 rock (2006), brooklyn nine-nine (2013), downton abbey (2010), the tonight show starring johnny carson (1962), suits (2011), house (2004), editors' recommendations.

That's why we have put together this monthly updated list of the 10 best movies on Tubi right now. See what's available on the fly without receiving the dreaded "content unavailable" message when you search for a specific title. These movies are all fabulous, span various genres, and come from several decades of cinema. From a high-action flick like John Wick to a hilarious comedy like Big Daddy, there are some great options this month.

When you're at a stalemate on what to watch, you can always fall back on the best romantic comedies on Netflix right now. A rom-com is an easy compromise since we all can relate to the tribulations of love. And who doesn't love to laugh about other people's love lives?

The issue, however, is that there are so many romantic comedies, and Netflix's library is chock-full of anonymous drivel and original misses. We curate this roundup to help you avoid the dreck and focus on the hits. Read on for our picks for the best romantic comedies on Netflix right now.

There's a reason why Disney+ is splashing Hulu content all over its home page. Hulu simply has a better selection of movies to draw upon, and it's not limited to flicks within the Disney corporate empire. Instead, Hulu gets to borrow some of the best movies from other studios like Warner Bros. and Sony, while giving 20th Century Studios' more mature titles a place to call home. That makes Hulu a more complete streaming service than Disney+.

This month's new movies on Hulu include an eclectic selection, from oddball comedies like The Royal Tenenbaums to the Johnny Cash music biopic Walk the Line to action movies like Bad Boys for Life and Black Hawk Down, and more. Those titles are just the beginning of the best movies on Hulu right now. No matter what kind of movies you like, Hulu has something for you to watch below.

The continental: from the world of john wick.

Taking place in the late 1970s — nearly four decades before Keanu Reeves' world-weary hitman set out on a path of revenge — this limited prequel explores how Winston Scott (Colin Woodell) seized control of the hotel known for its killer — quite literally — clientele. After his older brother, Frankie (Ben Robson), makes off with a High Table coin press , Winston finds himself at the center of a deadly power struggle with the man who controlled the hotel before him: the sociopathic Cormac O'Connor (Mel Gibson). Taking full advantage of its disco-era backdrop, The Continental: From the World of John Wick makes for one groovy addition to the hit franchise.

Break out those gold coins! All three episodes of The Continental are streaming on Peacock here .

Twisted Metal

Who’s ready for a road trip? Twisted Metal is riding high on a wave of love from critics and fans who’ve been vibing with Peacock’s recent original series, with MCU veteran Anthony Mackie in the driver’s seat for a hellish do-or-die delivery mission across post-apocalyptic America. The warped, wacky, and wickedly funny sci-fi series brings the classic cars, characters, and carnage of the old-school Twisted Metal PlayStation video game franchise into bold and bloody live action, with fun starring turns from Mackie alongside costars Stephanie Beatriz ( Encanto , Brooklyn Nine-Nine ), Thomas Haden Church ( Spider-Man: No Way Home , Sideways ), and the tag-team duo of Will Arnett ( BoJack Horseman , the LEGO movie franchise) and wrestler Samoa Joe as demented killer clown Sweet Tooth.

Betty Gilpin ( GLOW , The Hunt ) plays a devout nun searching for the Holy Grail in Mrs. Davis , Peacock’s inventively wild original sci-fi series from the creative minds of Damon Lindelof (HBO's  Watchmen , Lost ) and Tara Hernandez ( The Big Bang Theory ). Part comedy, part drama, and part thriller (with a big dash of magical realism thrown in), it’s a totally unpredictable goose chase of a show as Sister Simone (Gilpin’s determined nun) takes aim at ending the societal stranglehold that the series’ titular AI seems to have on just about everyone on Earth besides Simone and her eclectic little band of AI-averse allies.

When a massive sinkhole appears in the middle of Los Angeles, a group of people find themselves battling for survival in a primeval world full of dangers thought to have gone extinct millions of years ago. David Appelbaum (an alum of The Mentalist and NCIS: New Orleans ) created the NBC series , which just wrapped up its third amazing season.

Quantum Leap

There’s a new leaper at NBC , with Dr. Ben Song (Raymond Lee) following three decades later in the footsteps of Scott Bakula’s iconic Sam Beckett from the 1990s original Quantum Leap series. The freshly-revived sci-fi show comes from O.G. Quantum Leap mastermind Donald P. Bellisario, with Bellisario, Steven Lilien & Bryan Wynbrandt executive producing. Of course that means Ben is tackling tons of topical issues as he careens from one historical era (and body) to the next, a winning formula that assured the series — which also features Caitlin Bassett, Mason Alexander Park, Nanrisa Lee, and Ernie Hudson — a Season 2 green light.

Watch the first two seasons of Quantum Leap on Peacock here . All five seasons of the original show can be found here .

Natasha Lyonne stars in Peacock’s Poker Face as Charlie Cale, a regular gal with an almost-supernatural gift for being able to suss out the lies that people tell. It’s a useful skill as she ducks and dodges her way across the country, solving Columbo -style murder whodunnits while staying on the run from the vile Vegas sharks who want her dead. Bearing loads of the same witty story intrigue that’s made creator Rian Johnson’s Knives Out movies such a smash, Poker Face  warranted an early Season 2 pick up .

Watch the entire first season of Poker Face on Peacock here .

The War of the Worlds

Set in Edwardian England, this three-part event series adaptation brought an appropriately deft British flair to H.G. Wells’ timeless science fiction story. Throwing a socially frowned-upon unmarried couple (played by The Nevers ’ Eleanor Tomlinson and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom actor Rafe Spall) in the midst of turn-of-the-20th Century chaos, the effects-lavish tale pits them and their scientist employer ( Stargate Universe alum Robert Carlyle) against threats both alien and inhuman.

Don’t panic! All three The War of the Worlds event series episodes are streaming on Peacock here .

Resident Alien

peacock travel shows

Resident Alien is SYFY 's hit series about an alien who crash lands on Earth and takes over the body of Dr. Harry Vanderspeigle (Alan Tudyk). Harry is most certainly a hilarious fish-out-of-water while posing as the local town doctor, but he is also still mostly bent on his original extraterrestrial mission — to destroy Earth. The series, which just wrapped its third season , is full of laughs — it stars Alan Tudyk, after all — and will fill your heart with joy.

Three-Body Problem

The cover of The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu.

Based on the Hugo Award-winning novel of the same name by Liu Cixin, Three-Body Problem "is a complex web of secrets and revelations all revolving around the discovery of an alien civilization just a few light years away from Earth, in a system featuring three suns (hence the 'three-body problem' of the title)," writes SYFY WIRE 's own Matthew Jackson . "The chronological narrative begins during China's Cultural Revolution in the mid-20th Century and continues through the present-day, eventually roping in everything from a secret government project to a floating colony with its own army to a virtual reality game with a surprising purpose. It's complicated, to say the least, and  Three-Body  aims to convey that complexity as faithfully as possible."

Farscape

Credit: SYFY

Farscape  still has a dedicated fanbase even though it's been more than two decades since the show's premiere. The series follows human astronaut John Chrichton (Ben Browder) as he finds himself stranded on an alien world after accidentally getting sucked through a wormhole. In his effort to make it back to Earth, he joins a ragtag group of aliens on the run who soon become his newfound family. It's a show well worth a watch (or rewatch) if you're looking for some awesome space adventure.

You can watch Farscape on Peacock here .

Heroes 121 YT

"Save the cheerleader, save the world," reads the tagline for the first season of Heroes , a show about ordinary people who started gaining extraordinary powers. The ensemble series centers around a group of these newly superpowered folks and how they react to discovering their abilities. Unsurprisingly, some become villainous rather quickly, and it’s up to the others to stop them, whether they want to or not.

You can watch Heroes on Peacock here .

Code 404

Source: Peacock

CODE 404   follows Detective Inspectors Major and Carver (played by Daniel Mays and Stephen Graham, respectively). The two are like many cop duos on television, except that Major was brought back from the dead via some Artificial Intelligence technology after he was gunned down on the job. Major's new A.I. persona is a bit buggy, to put it mildly, and the resurrected Detective Inspector also faces tension with Carver, who has gotten close to his partner's wife after Major's passing. Hijinks and case-solving ensue!

You can watch CODE 404 on Peacock here .

Brave New World

Kylie Bunbury as Frannie in BRAVE NEW WORLD

This series is an adaptation of the eponymous 1932 classic sci-fi book by Aldous Huxley. The 2020 show — a Peacock launch title — modernizes the story somewhat (there’s now an A.I. presence, for example), but the crux is the same — people in this future are living in a so-called utopia where everything (and we mean everything ) is meticulously controlled by the government.

You can watch Brave New World on Peacock here .

The Triangle

The logo for the sci-fi mini-series The Triangle featuring the outline of people within a glowing green triangle.

Back in the Sci-Fi channel days at SYFY , this star-studded event series took a twisting, time-splitting journey through one especially intriguing theory to explain the sinister mysteries lying at the heart of the Bermuda Triangle. Jurassic Park royalty Sam Neill starred alongside Eric Stoltz, Bruce Davison, and Lou Diamond Phillips, with the show boasting a creative pedigree that counted sci-fi masterminds Dean Devlin ( Stargate , The Ark , Independence Day ) and Rockne S. O’Bannon ( Farscape , Alien Nation ) among its writers.

Dive into The Triangle if you dare: All three installments of one of 2005’s most original miniseries are streaming on Peacock  here .

A mix between Stargate and La Brea , Primeval follows a  team of scientists investigating "a time anomaly which allows ancient creatures through." The show was created by the duo of Tim Haines ( Walking With Dinosaurs ) and  Adrian Hodges ( Survivors ). "A lot of British shows look backwards," Haines told IGN in 2008 . "And a there's a lot of the Hammer Horror kind of tradition. This is a very different tradition, a television tradition I guess. And modern shows like  Buffy  had managed that wonderful combination of humor, thrills, some adult stuff while still keeping it very accessible to kids and those were our ambitions."

(L-R) Kari Wuhrer, Jerry O'Connell, Melinda Clarke, Cleavant Derricks, Sabrina Lloyd in SLIDERS

Sliders is a 1990s television series that was way into multiverses before the MCU even existed. In it, a group finds themselves traveling through different universes after their “sliding” technology breaks down and they lose the coordinates to their home universe. It’s a fun show and it will make you remember the '90s fondly, if you happened to have been alive in that multiverse.

SeaQuest DSV

SeaQuest DSV is another ‘90s show, but this one brings sci-fi to the ocean. In this series set in the “future” (2018, in the timeline of the show), we follow the voyage of the submarine called seaQuest DSV 4600, a vessel that protects Earth’s underwater colonies after humanity has basically used up all the resources on the surface. Intergovernmental strife still exists at the bottom of the ocean, however, and seaQuest’s crew finds themselves in the thick of it from the first episode.

The 32 Best TV Shows About Time Travel

time travel TV shows

Time traveling is a popular topic when it comes to all types of entertainment from books to films. But in recent years time travel has also become a popular theme in TV.

So let’s take a look at this list of the best time traveling TV shows and find out how each of them handles time travel and all the history that comes with it.

Doctor Who, BBC One (1963 – 1989, 2005 – present)

BBC One Doctor Who

When it comes to time traveling and TV, probably the most notable name in this niche is Doctor Who  because this time travel series has been around for 39 seasons and is still going strong.

Hailing from British television channel BBC One, Doctor Who tells the tale of the Time Lord aka The Doctor, and his companions as they travel to different times and try to prevent evil forces from changing history and hurting innocent lives.

Once the Time Lord gets hurt beyond healing, he can transform into a new body and continue saving the world. Hence why at this point 13 (soon to be 14) different actors have played The Doctor.

Doctor Who is not only a huge part of the fabric of British popular culture but by now this time travel show has found its way into the hearts of many people all over the world.

It has inspired many spin-offs in the form of TV shows, comic books, movies, novels, you name it. But more than that, by now it has become an industry standard both when it comes to science-fiction television series and shows about time travel.

No wonder that Doctor Who continues to be successful after countless actor changes and plot twists.

Where to watch Doctor Who:

Timeless, nbc (2016 – 2018).

NBC Timeless

Another time travel TV series that has already become a cult classic and is adored by fans all over the world is NBC’s Timeless . And despite the turmoil that this show has gone through, it still is time traveling at its best.

Starring Malcolm Barrett, Matt Lanter, and Abigail Spencer as Rufus, Wyatt, and Lucy, Timeless  details the trio traveling to different times in an effort to stop their adversaries from rewriting history.

But as it later turns out, the conspiracy goes deeper than them just changing history. Since the people who our trio is chasing are traveling through time to take down a dangerous and all-powerful organization. The same one that helped build the time machine that Rufus, Wyatt, and Lucy are using.

And although Timeless went on for just two seasons (and a two-hour wrap-up movie), you should still check out the show because it’s not only entertaining but will make you think and want to know more about the events that each episode is exploring.

Where to watch Timeless:

Dc’s legends of tomorrow, the cw (2016 – present).

DC's Legends of Tomorrow

If you are a fan of superhero TV shows, then you will probably have heard about DC’s Legends of Tomorrow . It is a show that is a huge part of The CW’s Arrowverse. And has crossed over with shows like Arrow , The Flash , and Supergirl multiple times now.

And even if you don’t like the rest of the superhero series but do enjoy a good old time travel TV show, then I suggest you still give Legends of Tomorrow a watch.

The plot of this show is based around a team of superheroes that are traveling through time in their time machine christened the Waverider to prevent different catastrophes from happening. Both ones made by others and those created by the team’s previous adventures.

At the forefront, there are well-known DC heroes like Rip Hunter, Firestorm, The Atom, Kid Flash, Steel, and Vixen. Joined by some original characters like Caity Lotz’s White Canary among others.

One of the defining characteristics of Legends of Tomorrow is how fun it is. Because adjectives like unapologetic, witty, and entertaining are frequently used to describe this time travel series.

However, more than that, it adds an interesting layer to the whole Arrowverse universe. And above all, it is just a hoot to watch.

Where to watch Legends of Tomorrow:

12 monkeys, syfy (2015 – 2018).

SyFy 12 Monkeys

Then there also is SyFy’s 12 Monkeys , which is a little darker take on time traveling. One that comes with mystery, drama, and apocalyptic stakes. But that doesn’t lessen how good this time travel TV series is.

Split between two timelines, 12 Monkeys centers on Aaron Stanford’s James Cole, who is tasked to travel back in time and stop the distribution of a virus that has the ability to end the human race as we know it.

In Cole’s real timeline, the year is 2043 and people are struggling to survive because of the terrible mutations caused by the virus. So Cole travels back to 2015 to find virologist Cassie Railly, played by Amanda Schull, that can help him stop the release of the virus and the organization that is behind it called The Army of the 12 Monkeys.

If you think about it, the post-apocalyptic setting and time travel really do go hand in hand. Because if you can go back in time to stop history from being changed, why not go back to change it if it prevents something terrible from happening?

And that is what this show explores. Beautifully combining elements of mystery, drama, and science fiction, to form a great TV show.

Where to watch 12 Monkeys:

Outlander, starz (2014 – present).

peacock travel shows

Want another show that mixes time travel with historical events and does it flawlessly? Then you should put Outlander on your must-watch TV show list!

The show starts in the 1940s when a combat nurse Claire Randall visits Inverness, Scotland as part of her second honeymoon with her husband Frank. Claire accidentally happens upon the standing stones at Craigh na Dun which transport her back in time to 1743.

To return to her own time she first has to survive 18th-century Scotland. And she does so by joining a group of rebel Highlanders from Clan MacKenzie and marrying one of the Highlanders, Jamie Fraser. But eventually, she falls in love with her new husband and aids the clan in evading British redcoats that are pursuing them.

Over the five seasons of Outlander that are currently out (with the sixth coming soon), we see Claire jump back and forth between the 20th and 18th centuries and her two families as she faces two pregnancies, wars, and much more. But eventually, Claire finds her way back to Jamie.

Where to watch Outlander:

Travelers, showcase (2016 – 2018).

Netflix Travelers

Then we have Travelers , a joint venture between Netflix and Canada’s Showcase that will tick all of your time travel TV show boxes.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world , this show depicts the adventures of travelers – operatives who go back in time to prevent the collapse of society.

These travelers are transferred into the bodies of our current-day humans, who otherwise would die, to blend in with twenty-first-century people. And with the help of their artificial intelligence boss from the future, travelers carry out missions in order to stop many catastrophic events from happening.

Travelers is a great mix of sci-fi and drama, featuring a great cast and spine-tingling storylines. So if you love all that and love a good time-travel series, then look no further than Travelers .

Where to watch Travelers:

Dark, netflix (2017 – 2020).

peacock travel shows

Netflix’s first German original series was the science fiction series Dark , which mixes in some mystery drama with sci-fi: time travel, the apocalypse, wormholes, and parallel worlds.

Dark takes place in Winden, a fictional German town, and begins in 2019 after children begin to disappear from the town. As the show progresses, however, timelines jump drastically between as early as 1921 to as late as 2053.

As four families in Winden investigate the disappearances to reunite with their lost loved ones, they discover a wormhole beneath the local powerplant that allows them to travel between timelines, thus uncovering a generations-long conspiracy involving the town and their families.

Where to watch Dark:

The umbrella academy, netflix (2019 – present).

peacock travel shows

Netflix brings another to the list with The Umbrella Academy .

On October 1, 1989, 43 infants were suddenly born from unsuspecting women despite them not even being pregnant the day before.

7 of them were raised together as the Hargreeve siblings and trained in their respective abilities until their relationship became strained as teenagers and they drifted apart.

Now, as adults, they’re brought back together by the death of their adoptive father – and the threat of the end of the world, of course.

They’re forced to travel back in time but end up in different times and places, and must find each other again to stop the nuclear apocalypse.

Where to watch The Umbrella Academy:

Seven days, upn (1998 – 2001).

peacock travel shows

We know that the National Security Agency has its share of secrets, but what if one of those secrets was a time-traveling machine?

In UPN’s Seven Days , the plot centers on one such device made from alien technology found at Roswell.

The Chronosphere, as it’s called, can only be used in times when national security is at risk – the limited capacity of the device allows for just one human to go back in time by seven days in order to avert disasters.

Thus, when the White House is attacked, the NSA employs former Navy SEAL and CIA operative Frank Parker to go back and prevent it from happening.

Where to watch Seven Days:

Loki, disney+ (2021 – present).

peacock travel shows

Yes, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of the greatest gifts to the cinema of our time. Now, the MCU has expanded even further into the television medium and we’ve got a few series to accompany it!

One of those is Loki , which of course, centers on the God of Thunder’s mischievous adopted brother.

After the events in Avengers: Endgame , particularly his stealing of the Tesseract, Loki inadvertently creates another timeline that began in 2012, making him a “time variant” version of himself.

When confronted by the authorities, Loki is given two choices: face punishment and cease to exist, or travel through time to fix his own mess and the threat that has emerged.

Where to watch Loki:

Making history, fox (2017).

peacock travel shows

The thing about traveling back in time is, you have to be very careful that your actions in the past won’t affect the future (which is essentially your actual present).

Most of the time, that’s something you wouldn’t know until you go back to your time. In Making History , however, Dan Chambers travels back in time to right before the American Revolution and sets off a series of events that seriously mess up the future.

Being able to constantly travel between time periods, Dan recruits the help of history professor Chis Parrish to travel with him and ensure that the American Revolution still takes place.

Where to watch Making History:

Quantum leap, nbc (1989 – 1993).

peacock travel shows

The title of NBC’s sci-fi comedy-drama Quantum Leap is also the name of the time travel machine that accidentally sends its creator, physicist Dr. Sam Beckett, back into the past.

Now, he’s stuck – and not as himself, either!

Sam discovers that he jumped into the body of a stranger and because he’s still himself, doesn’t know all the details of his current identity.

With the help of his friend Al, who appears as a hologram only he can see, he must fix something that went wrong so he can jump in time again and eventually get back to his own body.

Where to watch Quantum Leap:

Quantum leap, nbc (2022 – present).

peacock travel shows

Speaking of Quantum Leap , in 2022 NBC revived the 1989 series into a more modern take on the cult classic.

In this new Quantum Leap , thirty years have passed since Dr. Sam Beckett vanished into the Quantum Leap accelerator, and the Quantum Leap project was put to rest.

Now the project is restarted with a new team, who tries to puzzle together the mysteries behind Beckett and his time-traveling machine.

So, we follow Ben Song, the lead physicist of the Quantum Leap time travel project, who gets lost in the past after leaping back in time.

As he tries to return to the present he is helped by his fiancée Addison Augustine, who appears to him as a hologram during each leap, and the team back in the present time.

Where to watch Quantum Leap reboot:

The way home, hallmark channel (2023 – present).

peacock travel shows

Among the newest time travel shows on this list is Hallmark’s The Way Home which has already been renewed for a second season.

The Way Home follows three generations of Landry women who learn that they can time travel after discovering a magic pond on their family’s farm in Port Haven.

When Kat and her daughter Alice return to Port Haven and are forced to move in with Alice’s estranged mother Del, the three women use time travel to uncover their family history, including what really happened to Kat’s little brother Jacob and whether they can prevent his disappearance.

Where to watch The Way Home:

Russian doll, netflix (2019 – 2022).

peacock travel shows

Netflix’s Russian Doll deviates from the traditional time travel theme of a willing traveler in one specific timeline because Russian Doll’s protagonist Nadia Vulvokov not only has absolutely no choice or control over her so-called time traveling, but hers is also a time loop .

She wakes up every day having to relive the day of her 36th birthday party in New York City; every time, she dies and comes back to the exact same moment.

Every time, Nadia scrambles to figure out what happens to her and tries to prevent her death, leading her to find Alan, a man who is experiencing the same time loop.

Where to watch Russian Doll:

Undone, prime video (2019 – present).

peacock travel shows

Undone may be an animated series, but it certainly isn’t geared toward younger audiences; though there is a touch of comedy, the series leans more towards the psychological drama genre and “explores the elastic nature of reality”.

The series follows Alma Winograd-Diaz right after she gets into a near-fatal car accident.

Right before the crash, she has a strange vision of her dead father, and right after it, she finds that she now has the ability to manipulate and move through time.

Using this newfound power, she travels between time periods to get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding her father’s death.

Where to watch Undone:

Voyagers, nbc (1982 – 1983).

peacock travel shows

Premiering back in the early 1980s, NBC’s Voyagers! Is set in a world where time travel already exists.

In fact, there’s already a secret society in place that trains its members, called Voyagers, to go back in time and make sure that historical events happen exactly the way they’re supposed to – otherwise it could affect the present in unexpected ways.

One such Voyager is Phineas Bogg, although he isn’t exactly the best at the job.

During an accidental trip to 1982, he meets the young Jeffrey Jones and ends up bringing him along on one of his missions.

Having lost his Guidebook, Phineas now needs to rely on the extremely smart Jeffrey to get history right.

Where to watch Voyagers!:

Fringe, fox (2008 – 2013).

peacock travel shows

Fox’s Fringe is a series that was well into the science fiction genre, with parallel universes, supernatural abilities, biotechnology, doomsday predictions, and of course, time travel.

The title is taken from fringe science, which is a branch that deals with scientific theories riddled with skepticism or even having been disproven already.

In Fringe , Special Agent Olivia Dunham is assigned to oversee the FBI ’s Fringe Division, which is run by Peter Bishop and his father Walter.

Together, the team uses both fringe science and Olivia’s knowledge in investigative techniques to explore the unexplained.

In the process, they discover a larger mystery involving parallel universes and alternate timelines .

Where to watch Fringe:

Time after time, abc (2017).

peacock travel shows

ABC’s Time After Time is based on the novel of the same name written by Kevin Williamson in 1979.

In addition to that, each episode takes its title from a line in Cyndi Lauper’s song, which was inspired by the film (and subsequently, the same book!).

In Time After Time , we are taken to H.G. Wells’ home in 1893.

During a dinner party, he reveals his time machine – right before his guest John Stevenson is arrested for actually being Jack the Ripper .

John escapes through the time machine and Wells follows him straight into the present: 2017. Thus begins a cat-and-mouse game as John attempts to gain control of the machine.

Where to watch Time After Time:

11.22.63, hulu (2016).

peacock travel shows

When you have anything with Stephen King involved, you know it’s going to be great.

Hulu’s eight-episode miniseries 11.22.63 is based on King’s novel 11/22/63 and is a science fiction thriller like no other.

Starring James Franco in the lead role, 11.22.63 follows Jake Epping, an English teacher from Maine .

His best friend Al reveals a time travel machine and asks him to take over the mission he’s been working on: to travel to the 60s and prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

Will Jake be successful in changing a past that simply refuses to be changed?

Where to watch 11.22.63:

The 4400, usa network/sky one (2004 – 2007).

peacock travel shows

The 4400 is yet another slightly different take on the idea of time travel, in that there has been just one (fairly significant) shift forward in time, to the present.

Beginning in 1946, individuals who were easily overlooked or marginalized by society slowly began disappearing through beams of green light.

Now, all 4400 of them (hence the title) have been returned to the present day – without having aged a day and in some cases, even manifesting supernatural abilities like telekinesis, healing, and telepathy.

Tom Baldwin and Diana Skouris are assigned to investigate the phenomenon and find out why the 4400 have returned.

NOTE: For a fresher take on the show, you can also check out the reboot of the original series which is currently airing on The CW.

Where to watch The 4400:

Somewhere between, abc (2017).

peacock travel shows

When tragedy strikes our lives, we always wish there was something we could’ve done to prevent it.

In ABC’s Somewhere Between we meet Laura Price, a successful news producer with a great career, a loving husband who’s a district attorney, and a beautiful daughter named Serena.

However, her life changes when the serial killer she is helping the cops to catch kills Serena.

Distraught with grief , Laura attempts to complete suicide but is unsuccessful, instead waking up having time-traveled to a week before Serena’s death.

She teams up with Nico, a former SFPD detective who experienced the same reset and wants to find the real killer to change his brother’s fate as well.

Where to watch Somewhere Between:

Terra nova, fox (2011).

peacock travel shows

Terra Nova takes its viewers to both extremes of the time-traveling timeline.

The present-day is 2149, where overpopulation has threatened to deplete the Earth’s resources.

In an attempt to save Earth and mankind, scientists have found a way to travel back in time, sending groups of humans back to the Cretaceous Period to set up colonies.

Terra Nova focuses primarily on Elisabeth and Jim Shannon, and their three children, who have joined the 10th pilgrimage to Terra Nova.

They offer their expertise as a trauma surgeon and former narcotics detective and help those in charge with stopping those whose intentions go against the greater good.

Where to watch Terra Nova:

Frequency, the cw (2016 – 2017).

peacock travel shows

One concept in time travel is known as “the butterfly effect”, wherein one small change in time may have great effects elsewhere.

Frequency demonstrates this concept perfectly.

Raimy Sullivan is an NYPD detective who, after a strange weather phenomenon, discovers that she can communicate with her dead father through his old ham radio.

Believing he was a corrupt cop, she learns the truth and warns him of his murder, thus saving his life.

However, this has profound effects on the future – Raimy’s present.

Now, they must work together across time to save her father and preserve the present.

Where to watch Frequency:

Life on mars, bbc one (2006).

peacock travel shows

In many of the shows on the list so far, the protagonists experience a time loop that’s triggered at the point of their death.

It’s no different for Sam Tyler, the main character in the British series Life on Mars .

Sam is a Detective Chief Inspector with the Greater Manchester Police, but one day he accidentally gets hit by a car.

When he awakens, he’s in 1973 and working at one rank lower than he was: Detective Inspector.

The selling point of Life on Mars , however, is that we’re left unsure if Sam’s predicament is due to his actual death, a comatose, or time travel.

Where to watch Life on Mars:

Always a witch, netflix (2019 – 2020).

peacock travel shows

Always A Witch (or Siempre Bruja in its original Spanish title) is a Colombian series that is set in both present-day Colombia and the 17th century .

The series follows Carmen Eguiliuz, a young 19-year-old witch who, after committing the crime of falling in love with a white man in 1646 colonial Colombia, is scheduled to be burned at the stake.

She gets a chance to escape to a new life when the mysterious wizard Aldemar makes a deal with her: he will save the man she loves if she travels into the future to find the woman who can break his curse.

Where to watch Always a Witch:

Beforeigners, hbo (2019 – present).

peacock travel shows

HBO’s Beforeigners is a Norwegian sci-fi crime drama series and the first Norwegian original from HBO Europe.

The title is a clever play on words centered on the general plot: a group of “foreigners” has suddenly shown up at a neighborhood in Oslo, and they are all from “before” times, or several different time periods in history.

Whether from the Viking period , the Stone Age, or the more recent 19th century , each of these ‘Beforeigners’ tries to integrate in modern-day Norwegian society.

One of them even partners with a detective to investigate first a murdered Stone Age woman, then a series of murderers tied to Jack the Ripper.

Where to watch Beforeigners:

Alice, sbs tv (2020).

peacock travel shows

Alice was a South Korean sci-fi series that aired in late 2020.

In the lead-up to the main plot, the show’s background is explained to its viewers.

Set in 2050, time travel is monitored by an agency called Alice, which sends its clients to the past to help find closure with deceased loved ones.

Alice one day sends two agents to 1992 in order to find the Book of Prophecy, but one of them disappears with the book and her unborn child.

In 2020, the child becomes a detective and in his investigation into his mother’s death in 2010, discovers the existence of Alice and time travel.

Where to watch Alice:

Live up to your name, tvn (2017).

peacock travel shows

Yet another South Korean time travel series , Live Up to Your Name initially takes its viewers some 400 years into the past, right in the middle of the Joseon dynasty.

There we meet Heo Im, a doctor of traditional Korean medicine who also specializes in acupuncture.

On one of his treatments of the king’s migraines, he made a mistake and was charged with treason.

Chased by the king’s soldiers, he’s shot with an arrow and presumed dead when he falls into the river – except he ends up waking up in present-day Seoul instead, where he meets cardiothoracic surgeon Choi Yeon-kyung.

Where to watch Live Up to Your Name:

My only love song, netflix (2017).

peacock travel shows

Our third South Korean series is Netflix’s My Only Love Song , which aired in 2017.

We start off in modern-day Korea where we meet Soo-jung, a talented and top-level actress.

When things don’t go her way on her new show, she winds up in a time-traveling van that takes her to the 6th century.

There, she meets a man much like herself in terms of arrogance, but his hidden soft spot and generosity towards the poor changes her perspective on her own life and self.

Where to watch My Only Love Song:

Signal, tvn (2016).

peacock travel shows

Signal is based on the 2000 American film Frequency , but another thing that sets this South Korean series apart from others is that the cases investigated in the series are also based on real-life crimes in the country.

Signal follows a cold case profiler from 2015 and a detective from 1989 simultaneously; they discover they’re able to communicate with each other through an old walkie-talkie.

Using this unique ability to provide much-needed foresight in investigations, they team up to both solve and in some cases, even prevent these horrific crimes.

Where to watch Signal:

Rooftop prince, sbs (2012).

peacock travel shows

Last but not least, South Korea brings its last time-traveling series to the table with Rooftop Prince , a comedy-drama filled with intrigue, mixed identities, and possible reincarnations.

Crown Prince Lee Gak from the Joseon dynasty accidentally time travels to 2012 with three others from his entourage, and their lives are thrown into a whirlwind.

He crosses paths with Se-na, who looks exactly like his recently deceased wife.

You forgot The Time Tunnel, an Irwin Allen sci-fi show (Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Lost In Space, Land of The Giants), all classic 60s sci-fi

Journeyman should also be on this list. It was only half a season on NBC but it wraps up to a satisfying conclusion.

Fantastic acting and interesting characters.

Glad someone else watched Journeyman. I thought I’d was a great spiritual successor to Quantum Leap.

Journeyman is one of the good shows u can watch but qunatum leap i watched and didnt like

Where is The Time Tunnel?????

Another show for your list is “Being Erica” (CBC, 2009-2011). Excellent writing, and very unique.

i was looking for this comment. such an underrated show

I concur. This was definitely a great one. It certainly provides a lot of food for thought.

Some of the information in the Doctor Who one is wrong. It started in 1963, it was only revived in 2005 (you put 2006), and it’s been going for 39 seasons, as of June 2022

Thanks for letting me know! I updated the article accordingly.

3 underrated shows on Peacock you need to watch in May 2024

T here are more sporting events and news programs on Peacock than anything else, but it’s far from devoid of great TV series. Peacock gets every new show from NBC without exception. However, the series from other countries — and even a few Peacock originals — sometimes seem to just disappear if you don’t know what you’re looking for.

This is why we’re throwing the spotlight on three underrated shows on Peacock that you need to watch in May. Two of our three picks are Peacock originals, while the other is an obscure British TV series that probably would have been forgotten if The Office (the original UK version) and Sherlock star Martin Freeman didn’t have a leading role in it. Now, all three are simply waiting for a wider audience to discover them.

Departure (2019-present)

The Good Wife ‘s Archie Panjabi headlines her own suspense drama, Departure , which was a Peacock original for two seasons before getting a third season on the Canadian network Global. Only the first two seasons are on Peacock, but they’re largely self-contained stories ,with only Panjabi’s Kendra Malley and a few other characters rpresent for each season.

Amlley is a lead investigator for the Transport Safety and Investigations Bureau, and her case in the first season revolves around the crash of a large passenger jet that may have been caused by the pilot. While diving into this case, Malley also has to deal with the lingering trauma of losing her own husband, which her son, AJ (Alexandre Bourgeois), believes is more than just a mere accident.

Watch Departure on Peacock .

Boy Meets Girl (2009)

A better title for Boy Meets Girl might be Boy Becomes Girl , or vice versa. This miniseries revolves around a Freaky Friday situation as fashion reporter Veronica Burton (Rachael Stirling) and a down-on-his-luck guy, Danny Reed (Martin Freeman), swap bodies and lives after a freak lightning strike.

When Danny wakes up in Veronica’s body, he’s got to deal with her partner, Jay Metcalfe (Paterson Joseph) when he’d much rather be with the woman he loves, Fiona (Angela Griffin). It’s even worse for Veronica in Danny’s body, as her memories have been scrambled and she’s not entirely sure who she is anymore. Somehow, these two have to find each other and switch back before their choice gets taken away from them.

Watch Boy Meets Girl on Peacock .

We Are Lady Parts

We Are Lady Parts is a co-production between the UK’s Channel 4 and Peacock that has one of the most original premises in comedy today. The fictional British punk rock band Lady Parts is comprised entirely of Muslim women. Prior to joining the band, Amina (Anjana Vasan) was hesitant about the idea of pursuing a new direction in her life. But Amina feels that Lady Parts’ Saira (Sarah Kameela Impey), Bisma (Faith Omole), and Ayesha (Juliette Motamed) have something special together, and she wants in on it.

Each of the four women follow Islamic tradition to varying degrees. For the most part, they’re just trying to make names for themselves in an unexpected field. This series has already been renewed, and We Are Lady Parts season 2 is expected to arrive this year.

Colt Seavers is officially coming home!

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that critically-acclaimed action-comedy  The Fall Guy (now playing in theaters) will arrive on digital platforms on May 21, 2024 with an extended cut of the film. Stuntman turned director David Leitch ( Deadpool 2 , Bullet Train ) helmed the blockbuster project, which adapts the 1980s TV series of the same name. Multi-Academy Award nominee Ryan Gosling headlines the movie as the aforementioned Seavers, a veteran Hollywood stuntman caught up in a dangerous criminal conspiracy.

"This was a unique opportunity for David to showcase his intimate knowledge of the world of stunts," Kelly McCormick, Leitch's wife and producing partner at 87/North, explains in the studio production notes. "David’s personal stories from two decades of life on set made it abundantly clear that this was the story that he had to tell."

"Our goal was to pay homage to the original series, but we wanted to add our unique twist on it and transform it into more of an origin story," adds Leitch. "In our version, our protagonist, a stuntman, discovers that his stunt skills are akin to superpowers. [Screenwriter] Drew [Pearce] came up with a brilliant concept that lent a noir-ish vibe to the story while combining investigative elements from the original show.”

When Will The Fall Guy Be Released On Digital?

The Fall Guy will be available to rent and/or purchase from digital platforms starting Tuesday, May 21.

What is The Fall Guy About?

The Fall Guy centers around Colt Seavers, a veteran Hollywood stuntman who retires from the business after an on-set injury nearly derails his career. He's reluctantly drawn back into the world of extravagant studio tentpoles when the star of Metalstorm (a big-budget, science fiction blockbuster directed by his ex-girlfriend, Jody Moreno) suddenly goes missing. Colt agrees to track down the elusive celebrity, unwittingly finding himself in the middle of a killer plot more dangerous than any backlot tumble.

Who Stars in The Fall Guy ?

The Fall Guy  features the A-list talents of Ryan Gosling ( The Nice Guys ), Emily Blunt ( Oppenheimer ), Aaron Taylor-Johnson ( Bullet Train ), Teresa Palmer ( Warm Bodies ), Hannah Waddingham ( Ted Lasso ), Winston Duke ( Black Panther: Wakanda Forever ), and Oscar nominee Stephanie Hsu ( Everything Everywhere All at Once ). Lee Majors, who played Colt Seavers in the original show, makes a cameo appearance.

Is  The Fall Guy  Streaming on Peacock?

Not yet, but odds are good that when the film does debut on a streaming platform, it will exclusively do so on Peacock at a later date.

An 'Office' reboot is coming at last: See where mockumentary crew will visit next

peacock travel shows

Fans of "The Office": Get ready to clock back in.

Peacock has picked up a new mockumentary-style comedy from Greg Daniels , who adapted " The Office " for the U.S., and Michael Koman ("Nathan for You") in the same universe as the Dunder Mifflin crew.

The new series, set to begin production in July, stars Domhnall Gleeson (" The Patient ," "About Time") and Sabrina Impacciatore ( "The White Lotus," Season 2 ).

"The documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch is in search of a new subject when they discover a dying historic Midwestern newspaper and the publisher trying to revive it with volunteer reporters," Peacock said Wednesday in announcing the new and long-rumored project.

"The Office," which launched the careers of Steve Carell, John Krasinski and Mindy Kaling , concluded its nine-season NBC run in 2013, and slowly blossomed into a major hit, especially on streaming. For most of the show's run, Michael "I want people to be afraid of how much they love me" Scott (Carell) bumbled his way through leading an office of quirky characters at the Scranton, Pennsylvania, paper company. Carell left the five-time Emmy-winning show after seven seasons, but returned for its finale. In 2020, "The Office" was the most-streamed show, according to Nielsen , with more than 57 billion minutes viewed.
