Off-Road Segway Adventures

This 1.5 to 2 hour professionally guided nature tour, showcases the unique features of the area and is among one of the best things to do in Hocking Hills State Park - all while experiencing the thrill of a state-of-the-art Off-Road Segway X2! It’s a scenic nature tour featuring ancient recessed caves, the scenic Hocking River, majestic old growth trees, and native plants and wildlife. Discover how much fun it is to “take a hike” at Hocking Hills Canopy Tours!

Learn to Segway Experience

Just as the name suggests, the “Learn to Segway” Experience will provide a 30-minute supervised introduction on how to safely ride a Segway. Our experienced personnel will train you to easily control a Segway X2; then you’re free to ride at your own pace in our designated Segway nature playground.

Segway Tour Pricing

The cost for our Off-Road Segway Adventures is $79 per person.

TThe cost for our Learn to Segway Experience is $30 per person.

Segway Tour FAQs

• Minimum age 14. Ages 14 and 15 must have a responsible adult at the course location.
• Learn to Segway Experience weight restrictions: 100 - 250 lbs. Please note: Due to weight restrictions related to our outdoor activities, all participants will be weighed at check-in, on a discreet, one way scale.
• Off-Road Segway Adventures weight restrictions: 100 - 230 lbs.
• Every participant must sign a Waiver and Release Form.
• Participants under the age of 18 must have a signed waiver by a parent or legal guardian. If the signer is not present, a photocopy of the signer's drivers license must accompany the signed waiver.
• Closed-toe shoes are required.
• Our activities are designed for use by participants of average mobility and strength, and who are in reasonably good health.
• No one under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or impairing legal drugs, will be allowed to participate in the tour. No pregnant women will be allowed to participate in the tour.
• Hocking Hills Canopy Tours reserves the right to exclude anyone from participation for medical, safety, or other reasons.
• We have a 7 day cancellation policy. If you cancel your reservation outside 7 days prior to your tour date, your payment, less a $10 per person service fee, will be refunded to you.
• If you need to change your reservation date or time, you may do so one time, up to 7 days prior to your originally scheduled tour.
• No refunds or reschedules will be given with less than 7 days notice. Your tour reservation is transferable, so you can give it or sell it to someone else if you choose.
• If we cancel your Segway tour due to weather or other unforeseeable conditions, we will reschedule your tour for another available time, or give you a full refund.
• If you are late, you will not receive a refund or be able to join your tour. Your tour and guide will leave as scheduled whether you are there or not. We do expect you to arrive 30 minutes prior to your reserved tour time.
• Remember we have a 7 Day Cancellation Policy that you agreed to when completing this order.
• Arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled tour time.
• Bring your reservation confirmation and gift certificate (if applicable)
• Dress for the weather, as we do Segway tours in the rain and cold weather.
• Wear comfortable clothing, but avoid loose clothing.
• Wear closed-toe shoes such as a hiking shoes or sneakers.
• Sandals and flip-flops are not permitted.
• Don't forget money for drinks, food, gift shop, photos, and tips for your guides.
• For children under the age of 18 not accompanied by their parent or guardian, a waiver signed by their parent or guardian and copy of parent's I.D. must be provided at the time of the tour.

Peninsula State Park Tour- Trails too wet to go out?   Then join us for our Peninsula State Park tour.   While not an off-road tour, the bigger tires of our Segways will give you a smoother, more comfortable ride as you glide along, taking in the beauty of your surroundings.

Peninsula is the third largest state park in Wisconsin and has 8 miles of Green Bay shoreline. We will stop at several overlooks with breathtaking views of the bay, and you may even be able to see Michigan, as well as learn some interesting history of the area.

SEGWAY NAMED OFFICIAL UTV OF UTV TAKEOVER 2024 TOUR

Demo segway powersports utvs at all three takeovers.

–Segway Powersports has been named the Official UTV of the UTV Takeover 2K24 Tour, the largest community-focused UTV event series in the U.S. As part of this partnership, Segway Powersports will host exclusive Segway Experience demo events at all three tour stops in Coos Bay, OR, Winchester Bay, OR, and Hurricane, UT.

“We are thrilled to be the Official UTV of the UTV Takeover 2K24 Tour,” said Gabriel Cruz, Marketing Director of Segway Powersports. “This partnership allows us to connect directly with the UTV community and showcase our innovative vehicles in an exciting, hands-on environment at some of the premier riding destinations in the world.”

A re you visiting San Diego for a short time and want to see as much of the city as possible before you leave? Well, then, a segway tour could be an option for you.

Segway tours have been a rising trend in San Diego in recent years. They’re the same as walking tours but you use a motorized segway machine to get from point to point. This allows you to see a lot more in the same time frame as a walking tour. It may be a little lazy, but who’s complaining? It’s fun!

If you have never done a Segway tour, it takes a few minutes to get the hang of operating the machine and get it to go where you want to go. But the instructors usually give you a little training and a few minutes to familiarize yourself with them. I did a segway tour in Flagstaff a few years ago and it was so much fun and a great way to explore the city.

We have compiled a list of the best San Diego segway tours worth checking out on your visit to America’s finest city.

San Diego Segway Tours – Balboa Park

The Balboa Park segway tour guide has a maximum limit of ten travelers and will meet behind San Diego Embassy Suites Hotel at 10:00 am. You’ll finish up at the meeting point when the tour is over.

San Diego Segway Tours – Gaslamp Quarter

San Diego Gaslamp Segway Tour

The minimum age to ride these segway rentals is 16. Anyone between the age of 16 and 18 must have written permission from their legal guardian before.

Segway Tours San Diego – Downtown

You need to arrive at the departure location on time. If you’re more than five minutes late, there’s a chance the tour guide could head off without you. Unfortunately, there’s no waiting around because they need to leave early to beat the crowds. The meeting point is at the Another Side Of San Diego Tours office.

Maximum group sizes are 15 participants. You can bring your child along if they’re over the age of 10, but you’ll both have to sign a waiver beforehand. 

San Diego Segway Tours – Coronado Island

San Diego Segway Tours – La Jolla

There’s a two-person minimum to be able to book this La Jolla segway tour. It’s only a small group tour with four participants max. This way, you’ll get more one-on-one time with your private guide to ask questions about the area. 

Your guide will meet you at Starkey Mini Park in La Jolla. So if you’re staying in San Diego city, you’ll have to find a way there.

Yury Gagarin Cosmonauts Training Centre (Zvezdny Gorodok - Star Town) (7 hours)

The Yuri A. Gagarin State Scientific Research-and-Testing Cosmonaut Training Center is a Russian training facility responsible for training cosmonauts for their space missions. It is in Star City of Moscow Oblast, a name which may refer to the facility itself or to its grounds. (Read more about Yury Gagarin Cosmonauts training center )

The secret Star City was built to train Soviet cosmonauts, including Yuri Gagarin, the 1st man in space. Many other famous Russian cosmonauts trained here with Gagarin: German Titov, Valentina Tereshkova, the first female cosmonaut, and Alexei Leonov, the first cosmonaut to exit the spaceship into space . The best facilities were built for them: the world’s largest centrifuge and hydro laboratory. Many cosmonauts from other countries (USA, Japan, Germany and many others) also have trained here together with Soviet Russian cosmonauts. On this Star (Space) City Tour you will see:

Out of the Centre

Savvino-storozhevsky monastery and museum.

Zvenigorod's most famous sight is the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery, which was founded in 1398 by the monk Savva from the Troitse-Sergieva Lavra, at the invitation and with the support of Prince Yury Dmitrievich of Zvenigorod. Savva was later canonised as St Sabbas (Savva) of Storozhev. The monastery late flourished under the reign of Tsar Alexis, who chose the monastery as his family church and often went on pilgrimage there and made lots of donations to it. Most of the monastery’s buildings date from this time. The monastery is heavily fortified with thick walls and six towers, the most impressive of which is the Krasny Tower which also serves as the eastern entrance. The monastery was closed in 1918 and only reopened in 1995. In 1998 Patriarch Alexius II took part in a service to return the relics of St Sabbas to the monastery. Today the monastery has the status of a stauropegic monastery, which is second in status to a lavra. In addition to being a working monastery, it also holds the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum.

Belfry and Neighbouring Churches

Located near the main entrance is the monastery's belfry which is perhaps the calling card of the monastery due to its uniqueness. It was built in the 1650s and the St Sergius of Radonezh’s Church was opened on the middle tier in the mid-17th century, although it was originally dedicated to the Trinity. The belfry's 35-tonne Great Bladgovestny Bell fell in 1941 and was only restored and returned in 2003. Attached to the belfry is a large refectory and the Transfiguration Church, both of which were built on the orders of Tsar Alexis in the 1650s.  

To the left of the belfry is another, smaller, refectory which is attached to the Trinity Gate-Church, which was also constructed in the 1650s on the orders of Tsar Alexis who made it his own family church. The church is elaborately decorated with colourful trims and underneath the archway is a beautiful 19th century fresco.

Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is the oldest building in the monastery and among the oldest buildings in the Moscow Region. It was built between 1404 and 1405 during the lifetime of St Sabbas and using the funds of Prince Yury of Zvenigorod. The white-stone cathedral is a standard four-pillar design with a single golden dome. After the death of St Sabbas he was interred in the cathedral and a new altar dedicated to him was added.

Under the reign of Tsar Alexis the cathedral was decorated with frescoes by Stepan Ryazanets, some of which remain today. Tsar Alexis also presented the cathedral with a five-tier iconostasis, the top row of icons have been preserved.

Tsaritsa's Chambers

The Nativity of Virgin Mary Cathedral is located between the Tsaritsa's Chambers of the left and the Palace of Tsar Alexis on the right. The Tsaritsa's Chambers were built in the mid-17th century for the wife of Tsar Alexey - Tsaritsa Maria Ilinichna Miloskavskaya. The design of the building is influenced by the ancient Russian architectural style. Is prettier than the Tsar's chambers opposite, being red in colour with elaborately decorated window frames and entrance.

At present the Tsaritsa's Chambers houses the Zvenigorod Historical, Architectural and Art Museum. Among its displays is an accurate recreation of the interior of a noble lady's chambers including furniture, decorations and a decorated tiled oven, and an exhibition on the history of Zvenigorod and the monastery.

Palace of Tsar Alexis

The Palace of Tsar Alexis was built in the 1650s and is now one of the best surviving examples of non-religious architecture of that era. It was built especially for Tsar Alexis who often visited the monastery on religious pilgrimages. Its most striking feature is its pretty row of nine chimney spouts which resemble towers.
