Our route has been designed by tour manager and Guide Jay, who spends the season working in Spain. And has spent many years working and riding with local riders in the Pyrenees Mountains and will be on hand to help with any questions.

Riding conditions:

Riding conditions are normally excellent year round in Barcelona with good quality road surfaces, which suits novice to experienced riders, many riders even prefer to ride abroad.

This is a sealed roads tour, there might be the odd car park or layby which is unsealed.

The tour routes will vary, explore the coast line, wine fields, or go up into some twisty mountain roads.

This is a great tour for novice and experienced riders.

For the guided tour we operate the drop-off system which means that everyone can ride at their own pace without being dragged along.

What type of bike is suitable?

Most types of bikes are suitable for this tour from sports to cruisers, as long your bike can go around corners, and can maintain 70mph or 120kmph.

Your hotels are pre-booked in advance, we also provide you with our route to follow plus our Digital Tour information pack which includes GPX routes or Google map routes, and tour PDF.

Tour #1 Highlights of the "Costa Brava"

Motorcycle tours Barcelona, one of our most popular full-day motorcycle tours taking in the coastline, beaches & picturesque villages.

Motorcycle Tours Costa Brava, we leave the city and head towards the cost road north of Barcelona . The ride is approx. 45 mins before we stop for a coffee & pastry in the coastal village of Sant Pol de Mar to have breakfast by the sea. We then continue our journey to Tossa de Mar to visit the castle. It’s time to ride the curves as we take the “GI 682” coastal road which offers a twisting road with spectacular views, this road is featured in many guides as one of the best roads in Europe.

Arenys de Mar…

The first stop is where we have a light breakfast & hot drink in the small town of Arenys de Mar. This picturesque town is only a 35 min ride. We visit a small cafe that has views of the town & coast. Here we can talk a little more about the route for the day and get to know the group a little better.

Tossa de Mar…

Tossa is a true open-air museum. Its prehistoric vestiges give way to a Roman Turissa, a medieval Tursa and a modern Tossa first converted into a refuge for artists and intellectuals and later a generous host of tourists and visitors. Once we arrive we have a short stop to look at the views from the castle.

Sant Feliu de Guíxols …

We arrive here from Tossa de Mar via the famous “GI682” coastal road that offers 23kms of spectacular views with a turn for every day in the year! (365) this part will last for approx. 40 mins including stops.

Tour #2 Sant Romà de Sau (Sunken Village)

Full day motorcycle tour stopping for a traditional Catalan lunch. Taking in the heights of Montseny natural park & visiting the sunken village. Motorcycle tours Barcelona, It’s amazing to explore the country with real eyes on the scenery. 

We escape the city of Barcelona we head towards the natural park of Montseny which offers some great roads as we climb higher up the mountains. Close the the summit we stop for a coffee and to enjoy the views below before we cross the top of the mountain towards the sunken village where only the spire of a church remains visible. We say goodbye to the village of Sant Roma we head west to our lunch stop in L´Estany to enjoy a hearty lunch. Before heading back via the C59 road which takes us through some of the historic villages of Cataluña.

Montseny Natural Park …

This Nature Reserve lies at the heart of the Montseny Biosphere Reserve, which was designated as such by UNESCO in 1978 and extended in 2014 to cover an area of over 50,000 hectares. The Montseny Nature Reserve is one of a network of protected natural spaces that form a green belt. The rugged terrain – with mountains set against valleys furrowed by streams  and the lush woodlands. All this makes up a spectacular landscape of singular beauty.

Sant Romà de Sau …

For more than a thousand years, the Romanesque town of Sant Romà de Sau was standing in what is today in the Sau valley of Catalonia, Spain. It did so until the 1960’s when the government decided to create a reservoir that would submerge the town. The residents left, taking with them their valuables as well as their dead, leaving behind only the empty buildings.

Traditional Restaurant …

After a morning enjoying the scenic roads & fresh mountain air on our Barcelona Motorcycle tour we reach a traditional restaurant where can you choose from a selection of home cooked local dishes. In the photo you have “Botifarra amb mongetes” (Traditional Sausage & Fried Beans.) This is popular dish amongst locals & tourists alike.

Tour #3 Montserrat & Sitges

This is a great tour as the route is shorter than some of our other tours but you don´t need to choose between a coastal or mountain tour as this one will give you the opportunity to see both. The tour starts with a steady climb up the Montserrat mountain through the beautiful national park. As you climb higher the scenery and views will change until we read the top. Once we arrive at the top, we can park the motorcycles and enjoy a coffee & breakfast with the group. We then have the chance to visit the local market which is next to the famous Montserrat monastery. Following on from our visit with make our descent down towards the picturesque coastal town of Sitges via the famous wine region of Catalunya, Vilafranca del Pendes. You will see some great views as you ride down but also the roads, we take are spectacular! Once we arrive in Sitges its time sample some of the delicious fresh cuisine this town is famous for before we take the coastal road all the way back to Barcelona.

Montserrat Monastery

It’s famous for its unique rock formation that was shaped over many years by the weather. There is also a monestary to visit and a market that sells local products. We arrive here by some spectacular roads that offer some long sweeping  curves as we climb to the top. Once we arrive we can enjoy a coffee & brekfast before a quick visit to the market and monestary.

Vilafranca del Pendes

One of the most famous wine producing areas of Spain, this is where most of the wine in the region of Catalunya is produced. Although they produce various wine the most famous is the “Cava” which is sparkling wine. It is a very picturesque area with rolling hills and valleys that offers some great motorcycling roads.

Sitges Coastal Town

Continuing our descent towards the coast we arrive in the Mediterranean town of Sitges. It has a long sandy beach, colourful buildings with various restaurants situated with views of the Mediterranean Sea. They offer fresh local cuisine that attracts both tourists and locals to their restaurants. Naturally, this is where we shall have our lunch before we take the costal road back to Barcelona.

All motorcycle tours are private tours. This means that the driver is there exclusively for you and can respond flexibly to your wishes. Within the city area you can be picked up from your hotel.

The guides are all experienced motorcyclists who have a very defensive riding style - you will feel very safe and enjoy the ride. Up to two guests can ride on one motorbike, one person sits in the sidecar, the other in the back seat of the motorbike.

You can conveniently communicate with the driver via a wireless intercom system integrated into the helmets.

Sun, asphalt and mountain. Start the engine up and dare to take on each of the turns that run along this route which departs from Barcelona, the most important coastal city of Spain. Your tires will take you from there to the heart of the Pyrenees. The Aneto peak, 3 408 meters, will be the highlight of one of the stages.

3, 2, 1... Start your engines and enjoy this Motorcycle Tour that will lead you from Barcelona to the Pyrenees !

This experience on wheels will lead you, curve after curve, through the well paved roads of the Pyrenees, the natural border separating Spain from the rest of Europe. During some of the stages, we will also visit several mountain passes in the French side of the mountain range, famous for punishing cyclists’ legs in the Tour de France.

At every stage, there will be stops to enjoy the scenery, recover back strength and take pictures without having to keep an eye on the road.

Good turning angles and lots of fun will be the keynote of this adventure, designed to combine natural tourism and motorcycling. You’ll also have the chance to taste the world-famous cuisine of this region which is well-known for its culinary art.

Stages of the route

Once your plane has landed, our guide service you will pick you up at the airport. This first day of the motorcycle tour starting from Barcelona , you will have the opportunity to explore the surrounding area and see the sights of the city. There will be a welcome orientation that will allow you to meet the rest of the people who will take part in this adventure, as well as review the tour details. And as a final event, there will a dinner where we’ll be able to recharge and unwind with an eye on our first stage.

Stage 1 on the road. Loaded luggage and motorcycles set up. We start our motorcycle trip from Barcelona. We set out to climb the Llobregat Valley. Once up there, we will make the first stop along the way to observe the Montserrat Abbey. This 9th century Abbey is located on the mountain, next to a large stone wall. The second point of interest of this stage will be the castle of Cardona, where we will rest for the second stage.

The trip is looking good. Back on the road, we will start our Pyrenees motorcycle tour . We are going to have another stage of ascent plenty of curves following the marked path up the valley. We will border the Aneto, the highest peak of the Pyrenees. The road system that surrounds this point is motorcycling heaven, it has paving that is well appreciated by motorcyclists all around Europe. After such a sinuous and intense journey, there will be a resting stage

In this second half of the trip, there will be a day of rest in Panticosa. Anyone who wants to ride around the surrounding areas, will be able to do so. Our guides have designed an extra trip for those who want to blow off steam. You will have the option to rest up with the relaxation treatment that available at the spa we are staying at. The restless types have their motorcycle at their disposal to explore the surroundings and our guides will accompany you or give you a few tips on where to go and what to see around Panticosa.

With your body as good as new, we will cross the border on this international stage. We will make our way towards the French Pyrenees soil to ride through the 5 main mountain passes that the cyclists in the Tour de France have to climb. Back in Spain, the end of the stage will take place in Viella Mitg Arán. This municipality, located in the highest part of the Aran Valley, will give us a spectacular view of our next stage.

From the highest point, we will ride down the Aran Valley, towards the Baqueira-Beret ski resort. This stage has been specially designed for curve lovers, you’ll be able to take full advantage of your driving potential. The winding sections will be fun, you'll see.

Despite it being our last day on the motorcycle, we will have a magnificent ride back to where we started from. The journey will be a descending stretch that will begin in the foothills of the Pyrenees and from there we’ll be on our way back to our beloved coastal city, Barcelona..

Today is about packing up and saying our goodbyes to the friends we’ve made during the tour. Also to the great guides that made this tour a special trip. We hope you enjoyed this motorcycle tour from Barcelona to the Pyrenees and we wish to see you soon on our next two-wheeled adventure!

We had some delicious cocktails and conversation, my favourite bar was the first but they are all good. The host reached out to us before the tour and asked if we wanted to book a restaurant to eat after the tour. It was a Thursday and the restaurant was full (no surprise as it's excellent quality) but the hosts got us a table there and we had delicious tapas. We had already booked flights and hotel and now wanted to plan our weekend away for 10 us. Roger was fantastic with contact through email and even watsapp He offered a huge amount of activities to suggest and restaurants to visit. He booked us up the beer bike and two amazing restaurants. He also assisted with transfer return from Barcelona airport to our hotel so it was all a smooth transition. Nothing was too much trouble. When I booked this tour for my partner's birthday I really did not know what to expect but thought we'd give it a go anyway just as something different to do while in Barcelona. Very soon after booking it the organiser Roger got in touch which was a great touch and very reassuring. The meet up location was easy to find and very central. We were a small group and it did feel a bit weird to begin with but as the ice was broken and after we enjoyed a cocktail it really was great fun! Of course you can wander round Barcelona and find bars easily but we were taken to bars off the beaten track that you could easily miss without a local guide. Also getting recommendations of what drinks are good or the speciality in each bar was great. It was also brilliant having a guide with local knowledge to ask questions to about the area. Roger was only too happy to offer recommendations about what to do whilst in Barcelona- we tried the tapas bars he recommended over our stay and they did not disappoint. We definitely would not have stumbled upon them with his recommendations. I 100% recommend this tour and if/when I return to this lovely city I will definitely book it again without a second thought. I priced similar tours before booking- some were priced for the tour only and you had to buy your own drinks. On this tour everything is included. My partner and I can definitely vouch for the quality and quantity of drinks you receive. We definitely had a great nights craic and did not return to the hotel sober. We know some places but as there are so many touristy ones you never know which ones are the good "local" ones. So we joined the Tapas and Beer tour to enjoy the local food and beers. And we were not disappointed at all. They are both funny and well organised and depending the group size it can be a very personal tour with no rush and enjoying the local lifestyle. We met the host (Roger) and the rest of the group. The group was a great mix of people including people come to visit Barcelona on holiday and some living here, all of who were nice and good fun! I really enjoy good quality tapas and that's what I got on this tour of discovery. I was a little dubious about going on my own but met a lot of interesting and friendly people for a great evening.
