September 25, 2023  –  Following the success of the 2023 Freedom Tour, legendary rock band  JOURNEY has announced a new round of shows for their 50 th Anniversary Freedom Tour 2024  featuring very special guest  TOTO.

  JOURNEY – Diamond-selling Rock & Roll Hall of Famers – will take the stage in 30 cities across North America with their catalog of global chart-topping hits, including  “Don’t Stop Believin”, “Any Way You Want It”, “Faithfully”, “Lights”  and more.

Presented by AEG Presents,  JOURNEY Freedom Tour 2024  begins  February 8  in Biloxi, MS – making stops in Raleigh, Louisville, Omaha, Las Vegas and more – before wrapping  April 29  in Bridgeport, CT.

One of the most legendary rock bands of all time, JOURNEY has announced the continuation of their highly successful tour with the 50th-anniversary celebration "Freedom Tour 2023" featuring very special guest TOTO . JOURNEY and TOTO previously joined forces for an early 2022 U.S. arena tour.

JOURNEY is continuing to promote its latest album, "Freedom" , which was released in July via BMG . The LP debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Current Rock chart.

The members of JOURNEY celebrated the album's release by kicking off a residency featuring special symphony orchestra performances at the new, state-of-the-art Resorts World Casino in Las Vegas.

As JOURNEY 's legend continues to grow larger and their touring gets bigger, "Freedom" is the band’s first album of new material to be released in eleven years, since 2011's "Eclipse" , and in addition to Schon , along with longtime keyboard player and primary lyricist Cain and Pineda , one more member was recruited for the LP — bassist extraordinaire Randy Jackson , who had played on JOURNEY 's 1986 album "Raised On Radio" .

Inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2017, JOURNEY has 25 gold and platinum albums, with total sales adding up to over 100 million albums worldwide, earning the band two Diamond Awards with a third on the way for the "Frontiers" album. JOURNEY has also surpassed one billion streams on Spotify .

Journey Announces 2024 Tour Dates With Toto

Journey has announced dates for their 50th Anniversary Freedom Tour 2024 featuring special guest  Toto .

The trek will make its way through 30 North American cities, beginning Feb. 9 in Biloxi, Missouri, and ending April 29 in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

"We are looking forward to hitting the road again with our very good friends Toto," Journey guitarist Neal Schon said in a press release. "Come join us for a special evening full of fun and rockin' good memories. See you soon, friends."

You can see a complete list of dates below. Tickets for all shows will be available starting Sept. 29, except Sioux City, which begins Oct. 5.

Journey announce 38-city Freedom Tour 2023

Journey have announced a 38-city North American Tour for spring 2023.

The band's Freedom Tour 2023, promoting their 15th studio album Freedom, released in July, will kick off in Allentown, Pennsylvania on February 4, and run through to April 25, in Palm Springs, California. The tour incorporates rescheduled dates in Washington DC, Hartford, Toronto and Quebec that were postponed in May due to an un-named member of the band testing positive for Covid-19. Support on all dates will come from Toto. Guitarist Neal Schon says, "We are all thankful and overwhelmed by the success of our Journey 'Freedom Tour 2022' this year and have added a new run of dates for 2023. Earlier this month Journey surprised fans at the second of their two arena shows in Honolulu by inviting local resident Kirk Hammett onstage to jam with them on a cover of Metallica classic Enter Sandman . 

The band were in Hawaii to play a brace of shows at the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena, and took the opportunity to invite fellow San Franciscan Hammett to play with them on October 6. Metallica's guitarist also sat in on the band's Infinity -era single Wheel In The Sky on the night.

Journey are once again headed on the road with special guest Toto for their “Freedom Tour 2024” across North America.

The 30-city trek kicks off on February 9th in Biloxi, Mississippi, and will make stops in cities including Raleigh, North Carolina; Baltimore, Maryland; Louisville, Kentucky; Calgary, Alberta; and Las Vegas, Nevada before wrapping up on April 29th in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Following the success of the 2023 Freedom Tour, legendary rock band JOURNEY has announced a new round of shows for their 50 th Anniversary Freedom Tour 2024 featuring very special guest TOTO . JOURNEY – Diamond-selling Rock & Roll Hall of Famers – will take the stage in 30 cities across North America with their catalog of global chart-topping hits, including "Don't Stop Believin”, "Any Way You Want It", "Faithfully", "Lights" and more.

Presented by AEG Presents, JOURNEY Freedom Tour 2024 begins Friday, February 9 in Biloxi, MS – making stops Louisville, Omaha, Las Vegas and more. The band will play Lenovo Center in Raleigh, NC on Saturday, Feb. 17

JOURNEY features founder Neal Schon (lead guitarist), J onathan Cain (keyboards, backing vocals), Arnel Pineda (lead vocals) Jason Derlatka (keyboards, vocals), and Deen Castronovo (drums, vocals) and Todd Jensen (bass). Neal Schon is a 3x Hall of Fame inductee, having been inducted to the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Grammy Hall of Fame.  Jon Cain is a recipient of two BMI songwriter awards and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Journey.

ABOUT JOURNEY Since the group's formation in 1973, JOURNEY has earned 19 top 40 singles, 25 gold and platinum albums, and has sold over 100 million albums globally. Their "Greatest Hits" album is certified 15 times platinum, making JOURNEY one of the few bands to ever have been diamond-certified, and their song "Don't Stop Believin'" has been streamed over one billion times alone.

Gainbridge Fieldhouse follows Marion County Health Department (MCHD) and Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) requirements and guidelines from the promoter for each event. Proof of vaccination or testing is not required for general ticket holders at this event.

North End Tours highlight official Freedom Trail historic sites such as Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere House, Old North Church, and Copp’s Hill Burying Ground, and other historic places in Boston’s oldest neighborhood.

The Freedom Trail is one of the iconic touristy things to do in Boston, and there's a reason for that. I did the full trail many, many years ago but decided to go with this shorter, more compact trail with our family. The 1.5 hour length is the right duration for kids, and our guide, Jeremiah Poope (his actual last name!), kept it interesting the entire time. He has been a tour guide in Boston for many years, and he had a ton of interesting stories and facts beyond the typical revolutionary war factoids.

We only had 1 day to explore downtown Boston, and this tour was a great way to see several different sites, learn about history, and get a bit of walking in. We were a few minutes late for the start of the 1pm tour but easily able to catch up and join in.. Our tour guide was fantastic! One member of my group uses a wheelchair, and the guide was great about leading the WHOLE tour through accessible entrances to sites and to sidewalks with curb cuts so that all of us could participate without feeling singled out.

Great tour with Isaiah Thomas! Great local guide who was very engaging and a walking encyclopedia of Boston history. It was a nice 1.5 hr walking tour hitting most of the south end Freedom Trail points of interest. For the money, it’s hard to beat!

The Freedom Trail Walking tour presents full of historic knowledge and our guide, Parker, provides us the best experience for this amazing learning adventure. That is to say, in this tour you can also learn about the myth and the truth of the history we learned from our textbooks. I would recommend anyone who visit Boston and is interested in learning history or simply just want to listen to funny stories

For Barend Botha, caddie Max Hansen, journey moves from South Africa to Korn Ferry Tour

Sometimes, you don’t pick the caddie, the caddie picks you.

After Botha secured status for the 2024 North America Swing on PGA TOUR Americas, he found himself without a caddie, until an old friend reached out.

“So funny enough, my brother caddied for me at Q-School,” Botha said. “He got a job offer and it was easier for him to pursue that than try to get a visa and carry for me. He was on the phone with Max one day, then he came into my room and he was like, ‘I think Max would caddie for you.’”

It didn’t take much convincing to get Hansen on the bag, and Botha made an offer his friend couldn’t refuse.

“Max is like, ‘I’ll caddie for you,’” Botha said. “I was like, ‘It will basically be a free vacation, all expenses paid.’ And he’s like, ‘Sweet, I’ll do it.’”

“It was nice for me to have someone on the bag who had knowledge of my game,” said Botha, who finished No. 4 in the Fortinet Cup. “Max and I played a lot of golf in high school. He knew when I wanted to be aggressive and when I didn’t. He knew which kind of shots I could pull off if I was in a tough position, so it made me very comfortable. I wasn’t really stressed out there.”

Botha and Hansen went to the McKinley Reid International Academy in George, and despite growing up in the same town and attending the same school, they had to navigate a language barrier early in their friendship.

“It was quite a small school, and when I came, I could only speak English, whereas Barend was predominantly Afrikaans, so we didn’t click immediately,” Hansen said. “Oddly enough, in the South Africa U19 Match Play Championship, we actually got drawn against each other. That was quite a tense encounter; I’d say we said about five words the whole round.”

“In school we played a lot of golf together, amongst other things,” Botha said. “We played a lot of soccer with all of our other friends and would go to the gym and lift.”

As the pair developed as friends and competitors, and grew as golfers, the possibility of playing collegiate golf in the United States came into the picture. With the help of their coach, Adam McKinley, the two were encouraged to pursue the opportunity to play in the U.S.

“Our coach from the academy was really pressing everyone to go to college and go play collegiate golf,” Botha said of McKinley. “In his mind, he thought it was the best thing to do for South Africans, and golfers in general.”

“Adam McKinley was a great mentor of ours, and definitely pushed us to look for scholarships in the States,” Hansen said. “It was definitely thanks to Adam that we went to America.”

“I can get very serious, and sometimes I over analyze things,” Botha said about his mental game. “Max would get me out of my head and make me just play golf.”

Hansen also had the job of keeping Botha in a good mindset, and he had the jokes to get the job done.

“He’s a very funny person,” Botha said. “It helps me not to get down on myself because he’d always make a funny comment or joke to get my mind back to my happy place.”

Between Botha’s ability and Hansen’s charisma, the duo had the foundation to find success fast. While Hansen’s jokes played a role, it was his background as a player and his ability to motivate that made the biggest impact on the bag.

“I think what makes our relationship special is Max is a very creative player,” Botha said. “He’s very confident and he pushes me to be creative and confident in myself. If he believes that he could pull off a shot, he makes me believe I can do it as well. We have good balance between being serious and having fun.”

It’s hard for anyone to not have fun hanging out with their best friend, and next year they’ll get to hang out on the Korn Ferry Tour.
