UPDATE: Journey Labels ‘The Frontiers Tour’ Album ‘A Bootleg’
It's not a hoped-for reunion with their platinum-era frontman, but it's close: A previously unreleased, but long-bootlegged Journey concert featuring Steve Perry is due for release next month.
1/12 Update: Sony Music has sent us a statement declaring that this album "is actually a bootleg. It is not sanctioned or approved by members of Journey or Sony Music."
'Journey: The Frontiers Tour' was recorded on July 21, 1983, at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Okla., for a radio broadcast. Journey continue to play today with Neal Schon , Jonathan Cain and Ross Valory from this era. They were touring then in support of their 1983 album 'Frontiers ,' which went on to sell six million copies in the U.S. on the strength of hits like 'Faithfully' and 'Send Her My Love.'
Both of those songs appear on 'Journey: The Frontiers Tour.' In fact, most of the 'Frontiers' album shows up as part of the concert's set list, along with other, earlier Journey favorites like 'Wheel in the Sky,' 'Lights,' 'Stone in Love,' 'Open Arms,' 'Who's Crying Now' and 'Don't Stop Believin'.'
The complete track listing for 'Journey: The Fronters Tour,' which comes out on Feb. 10, can be found below. The album follows the 2005 release of 'Live in Houston 1981: The Escape Tour,' another souvenir from the Perry years.
Journey was rounded out by drummer Steve Smith in '83. He and Perry both left after the 1996 reunion album 'Trial by Fire.' Deen Castronovo immediately replaced Smith; Arnel Pineda eventually took over mic duties from Perry. The group has just announced a new Vegas residency , from April 29-May 16.
'Journey: The Frontiers Tour' Track Listing 'Chain Reaction' 'Wheel in the Sky' 'Line of Fire' 'Send Her My Love' 'Still They Ride' 'Open Arms' 'No More Lies' 'Back Talk' 'Edge of the Blade' (Jonathan Cain solo) 'Rubicon' (Steve Smith solo) 'Escape' 'Faithfully' 'Who's Crying Now' 'Don't Stop Believin'' 'Stone in Love' 'Keep on Runnin'' 'Lights'

In February 2017, Journey went to Japan for a special show at Tokyo’s Budokan that featured a complete performance of 1981’s Escape and 1983’s Frontiers at the request of legendary Japanese concert promoter Mr. Udo in honor of his 50th anniversary in the business. “There’s a few songs I don’t even recall playing, like [the Frontiers track] ‘Troubled Child,” Journey guitarist Neal Schon told Rolling Stone at the time. “Digging back into that stuff has been a lot of fun.”

Only the LaserDisc release has these two rare gems from the original concert. This extended edition results in a extended concert and documentary that last nearly TWO HOURS compared to the VHS release length of the concert of only 98 minutes. The exclusive Japanese only LaserDisc release is 1 Hour 50 Minutes…….

For any Journey fan this is as good as it gets! The transfer from laser disc to DVD is superb, bar none. Since this is the imported Laser disc version from japan, it is the full version of the documentary/concert not the edited one found on the VHS here in the US or re-release on short lived DVD version. The one thing that i will address is that since the laser disc is from japan, it does have closed caption permanently on and can not be disabled but, the audio is in English. Don’t let this stop you from getting this awesome DVD. It just brings authenticity to the transfer from laser disc to DVD. Thank you MVR for sharing this, at long lost, highly sought after gem.

A must have for any true Journey / Steve Perry fan! Over the years I’ve had several “copies” plus, the original VHS of this documentary and now this one from the guys at Music Video Resource. This remaster DVD, by far is the best video quality I have come across!
Eugene Davis (verified owner) – September 25, 2020
Great DVD for all JOURNEY fans. Service was awesome as usual. Great remastering of this classic stage of the bands career. Thank you for offering this rare item at this great website.

I can’t say enough how happy I am with DVD. The specific reason I purchased it was because it has concert footage from the June 4, 1983 Philadelphia concert. The inclusion of ‘Don’t stop Believing’ was as it is in the ‘Frontiers and Beyond’ Documentary as well as the Director’s Cut.
In addition it contains John Facenda narrating. The ’83 Philly concert contained Faithfully which eventually was released as a music video. This concert has so much personal meaning for me and my wife, as it’s where we met some 38 years ago watching our all-time favorite band at the height of their career. We will cherish that memory til the day we die. To find this DVD with the concert and the band playing our two most favorite songs – ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ and ‘Faithfully’ – was just amazing for us.
Fortunately, I can only give this review (5) stars. If I could, I give it a (10) for being a complete product plus a product of quality.
Daniel Alustiza (verified owner) – May 29, 2021
As mentioned, in another review, there are Japanese subtitles with the commentary, so don’t think it’s a setting with your DVD player, when playing back. This is an awesome DVD! Anyone who has seen the Journey Greatest Hits DVD, will see where some of the video footage comes from for that DVD, most likely being this Philadelphia concert. The song “Faithfully” is not a concert video, as it appears to be the same video on the Greatest Hits DVD, which I believe was a MTV video release, but the whole DVD still kicks ass! There are songs on this DVD that are NOT on the Greatest Hits DVD.

Shy Janitor Richard Goodall Crying After Getting Heidi's Golden Buzzer Is So Emotional
Richard Goodall had never been on a plane before, but that didn't stop him from chasing his dreams on AGT Season 19.
America’s Got Talent is a place for people with immense talent, but with sometimes limited access to a grand stage to showcase it. Perhaps no one embodied that more than Season 19 premiere superstar, Richard Goodall.
How to Watch
Watch America’s Got Talent Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock .
The humble janitor from Terre Haute, Indiana closed out the premiere episode by kicking the already high talent bar up another notch with a vocal performance you simply had to hear to believe. In fact, it was so good it earned one of the coveted Golden Buzzers from a Judge who was just as moved by his song as everyone in the crowd.
How Richard Goodall made it to AGT
Before he took the stage, Goodall noted he grew up loving music and listening to it endlessly as a kid. When he got older, he needed money so he took a job as a janitor at a middle school just three blocks from where he lived. To pass the long hours, he would often belt out some jams in the hallways, much to the delight of the students.
RELATED: Where You Can Watch AGT 19 This Season
Eventually, he believed them when they told him he had talent, which prompted Goodall to get on a plane for the first time in his life and audition for AGT 19 — and it's a good thing he did!
What song did Richard Goodall sing for his AGT audition?
When he took the stage to answer some of Simon Cowell’s preliminary questions, it was clear to anyone watching that Goodall was shy and a little nervous to perform in what was doubtlessly his biggest crowd ever.
However, all nerves seemingly fell away when he hit the first note of Journey’s 1981 classic “Don’t Stop Believin’.” The Judges and the audience were shocked to hear this quiet janitor suddenly hit the song’s notes with the talent of a seasoned professional singer. It didn’t take long before the crowd was on its feet, with some even being moved to tears.
Heidi Klum awards Richard Goodall her first Golden Buzzer of the season
Perhaps Cowell said it best (and most matter-of-factly) when he told Goodall he was his hero.
“That was special, genuinely special,” he added. “I think America is going to love you.”
Sofia Vergara agreed, saying: “I mean that was spectacular, that was fun. This was an amazing surprise. I think you are perfect to come to AGT because you made our night.”
Howie Mandel told the singer he “cleaned up” and called him “amazing” before speculating that all his students watching at home were probably screaming for him.
However, it was Heidi Klum who gave the highest praise in the form of one of her two Golden Buzzers of the season.
RELATED: Heidi Klum's Got Talent: Watch the AGT Judge Yodel a German Son
“Richard, Richard, Richard, you knocked me off my feet,” she said. “I mean we all had the best time with you up on that stage. I really feel something with you up there and I hear you up there… and now, this is what I’m going to do for you, because I love you.”
With that, she pressed her Golden Buzzer and instantly moved Richard to tears.
“I’ve never even been on plane,” he said as golden confetti rained down on him. “This was not on my radar to come to California, this was a dream come true.”
After coming up on stage to hug him, Klum accompanied Goodall backstage where he called his fiancée to tell her the good news. While she was clearly proud of him, it was clear she wasn’t surprised his smooth voice earned him a Golden Buzzer.

👀 Every DI baseball regional, previewed
🥵 Toughest DI baseball regional
Michella Chester | NCAA.com | May 29, 2024
The toughest regional in the 2024 di baseball bracket, according to michella chester.
Out of 64 teams, only eight will make it to the Men's College World Series in Omaha. Michella Chester has made her pick for who will have the toughest journey there.
According to her, teams in the Stillwater Regional (hosted by Oklahoma State) can expect the most daunting path ahead of the CWS.
Oklahoma State will host Nebraska as a No. 2 seed, Florida as a No. 3 and Niagara in the fourth spot - all teams that could come out on top.
The Huskers most recently made waves when they claimed the 2024 Big10 Tournament title. Josh Caron’s bat (16 homers) and Brett Sears’ performance on the mound (97 strikeouts) have provided Nebraska with some really good pieces.
Then there's Florida - a team that at first glance could not have made the tournament on record alone, but has found a secret weapon in first baseman Jac Caglianone. Caglianone most recently claimed a spot on the 2024 All-SEC First Team roster and with 29 homers, he could be the spark the Gators need to win with it all on the line.
🐊 Florida's Jac Caglianone leads two-way 2024 MLB Draft prospects, according to D1Baseball
Also worth mentioning is Oklahoma State’s Nolan Schubart's 20 homers and Niagara's Eric Rataczak's 16 along with his .402 batting average. Stillwater Regional is boasting some serious power.

New batch of brilliant images from the Euclid mission live up to the hype
E SA's Euclid space mission has released five unprecedented new views of the Universe. These never-before-seen images showcase Euclid's extraordinary capabilities in unraveling the mysteries of the cosmos.
From hunting for rogue planets to studying mysterious matter and exploring the evolution of the Universe, Euclid is set to revolutionize our understanding of the dark Universe.
Treasure trove of Euclid data and images
"Euclid is a unique, ground-breaking mission, and these are the first datasets to be made public – it's an important milestone," says Valeria Pettorino, ESA's Euclid Project Scientist .
She emphasizes the incredible diversity of the images and associated science findings, spanning a wide range of objects and distances. Despite representing just a single day of observations, these early results showcase Euclid's immense potential.
Pettorino expresses excitement for the wealth of data that will be gathered over the mission's six-year duration, promising to revolutionize our understanding of the Universe.
The early observations targeted 17 astronomical objects, ranging from nearby clouds of gas and dust to distant clusters of galaxies. This diverse selection serves as a prelude to Euclid's main survey, which aims to uncover the secrets of the dark cosmos and reveal how and why the Universe looks as it does today.
"This space telescope intends to tackle the biggest open questions in cosmology," Pettorino added. "And these early observations clearly demonstrate that Euclid is more than up to the task."
Unprecedented sharpness and depth
Euclid's images are at least four times sharper than those captured by ground-based telescopes. They cover large patches of sky at unrivalled depth, peering far into the distant Universe using both visible and infrared light.
"It's no exaggeration to say that the results we're seeing from Euclid are unprecedented," states Prof. Carole Mundell, ESA Director of Science.
She notes that the telescope's first images , released in November, showcased its immense potential for exploring the dark Universe, and the second batch of observations continues to deliver groundbreaking results.
Mundell highlights Euclid's unparalleled ability to capture a wide range of cosmic objects in a single image, from the faintest and most distant galaxies to nearby star clusters and even small planets.
"This amazing versatility has resulted in numerous new science results that, when combined with the results from Euclid's surveying over the coming years, will significantly alter our understanding of the Universe," she concludes, emphasizing the mission's transformative impact on cosmology.
Scientific secrets revealed
Beyond their visual appeal, the images reveal new physical properties of the Universe thanks to Euclid's novel and unique observing capabilities.
These scientific secrets are detailed further in a number of accompanying papers released by the Euclid collaboration, made available on arXiv, along with five key reference papers about the Euclid mission.
The early findings showcase Euclid's ability to:
- Search star-forming regions for free-floating 'rogue' planets just four times the mass of Jupiter
- Study the outer regions of star clusters in unprecedented detail
- Map different star populations to explore how galaxies have evolved over time
- Detect individual star clusters in distant groups and clusters of galaxies
- Identify a rich harvest of new dwarf galaxies
- See the light from stars ripped away from their parent galaxies
Euclid produced this early catalogue in just a single day, revealing over 11 million objects in visible light and 5 million more in infrared light. This catalogue has already resulted in significant new science.
Cooperation made the Euclid mission possible
"Euclid demonstrates European excellence in frontier science and state-of-the-art technology, and showcases the importance of international collaboration," says ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher.
He emphasizes that the mission's success is a testament to the tireless efforts of scientists, engineers, and industry professionals from across Europe and the global Euclid scientific consortium.
Aschbacher commends their outstanding achievement, noting that the groundbreaking results are a remarkable accomplishment for such an ambitious mission tackling complex fundamental science.
"Euclid is at the very beginning of its exciting journey to map the structure of the Universe," he concludes, highlighting the immense potential for further discoveries as the mission continues.
This early release of the stunning images below is just a taste of the incredible science that lies ahead, promising to revolutionize our understanding of the cosmos.
Euclid's image of galaxy cluster Abell 2390 reveals more than 50 000 galaxies and shows a beautiful display of gravitational lensing, depicting giant curved arcs on the sky – some of which are actually multiple views of the same distant object.
Euclid will use lensing (where the light travelling to us from distant galaxies is bent and distorted by gravity) as a key technique for exploring the dark Universe, indirectly measuring the amount and distribution of dark matter both in galaxy clusters and elsewhere.
Euclid scientists are also studying how the masses and numbers of galaxy clusters on the sky have changed over time, revealing more about the history and evolution of the Universe.
Euclid's cutout view of Abell 2390 shows the light permeating the cluster from stars that have been ripped away from their parent galaxies and sit in intergalactic space. Viewing this ‘intracluster light' is a specialty of Euclid, and these stellar orphans may allow us to ‘see' where dark matter lies.
This breathtaking image features Messier 78 , a vibrant star nursery enveloped in interstellar dust.
Euclid peered deep into this nursery using its infrared camera, exposing hidden regions of star formation for the first time, mapping its complex filaments of gas and dust in unprecedented detail, and uncovering newly formed stars and planets.
Euclid's instruments can detect objects just a few times the mass of Jupiter, and its infrared ‘eyes' reveal over 300 000 new objects in this field of view alone.
Scientists are using this dataset to study the amount and ratio of stars and smaller (sub-stellar) objects found here – key to understanding the dynamics of how star populations form and change over time.
In this image Euclid showcases NGC 6744 , an archetype of the kind of galaxy currently forming most of the stars in the local Universe.
Euclid's large field-of-view covers the entire galaxy, capturing not only spiral structure on larger scales but also exquisite detail on small spatial scales.
This includes feather-like lanes of dust emerging as ‘spurs' from the spiral arms, shown here with incredible clarity.
Scientists are using this dataset to understand how dust and gas are linked to star formation; map how different star populations are distributed throughout galaxies and where stars are currently forming; and unravel the physics behind the structure of spiral galaxies, something that is still not fully understood after decades of study.
Abell 2764 (and bright star)
This view shows the galaxy cluster Abell 2764 (top right), which comprises hundreds of galaxies within a vast halo of dark matter.
Euclid captures many objects in this patch of sky, including background galaxies, more distant clusters, and interacting galaxies throwing off streams and shells of stars.
This complete view of Abell 2764 and surroundings -- obtained thanks to Euclid's impressively wide field-of-view -- allows scientists to ascertain the radius of the cluster and see its outskirts with faraway galaxies still in frame.
Euclid's observations of Abell 2764 are also allowing scientists to further explore galaxies in the distant cosmic dark ages, as with Abell 2390.
Also seen here is a very bright foreground star that lies within our own galaxy (V*BP-Phoenicis/HD 1973, a star within our galaxy and in the southern hemisphere that's nearly bright enough to be seen by the human eye).
When we look at a star through a telescope, its light is scattered outwards into a diffuse circular halo due to the telescope's optics.
Euclid was designed to make this scatter as small as possible. As a result, the star causes little disturbance, allowing us to capture faint distant galaxies near the line of sight without being blinded by the star's brightness.
Dorado Group
Here, Euclid captures galaxies evolving and merging ‘in action' in the Dorado galaxy group , with beautiful tidal tails and shells seen as a result of ongoing interactions.
Scientists are using this dataset to study how galaxies evolve, to improve our models of cosmic history and understand how galaxies form within halos of dark matter.
This image showcases Euclid's versatility: a wide array of galaxies is visible here, from very bright to very faint.
Thanks to Euclid's unique combination of large field-of-view, remarkable depth, and high spatial resolution, it can capture tiny (star clusters), wider (galaxy cores) and extended (tidal tails) features all in one frame.
Scientists are also seeking distant individual clusters of stars known as globular clusters to trace their galactic history and dynamics.
Journey ahead: Mapping the dark universe
In summary, as Euclid embarks on its six-year journey to map the structure of the Universe, the early observations serve as a tantalizing preview of the pioneering discoveries that lie ahead.
The space telescope's unparalleled ability to capture sharp, deep images of the cosmos, combined with the tireless efforts of the international scientific community, positions Euclid at the forefront of cosmological research.
With each new dataset, Euclid will peel back the layers of the Universe's mysteries, revolutionizing our understanding of the dark cosmos and the fundamental nature of reality.
The mission's success not only showcases European excellence in space science and technology but also highlights the power of global collaboration in pushing the boundaries of human knowledge.
As we eagerly await the next revelations from Euclid, one thing is certain: the Universe will never look the same again.

WWE King and Queen of the Ring card, date, start time, matches, live stream, match card, location, rumors
The promotion is heading to jeddah, saudi arabia for an interesting ppv event on may 25.
The WWE King and Queen of the Ring tournaments are returning in 2024. This is the first time since 2021 that WWE has held the prestigious tournament. The 2024 edition will see the finals take place at a premium live event from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on May 25.
Many of WWE's biggest superstars have won King of the Ring tournaments since the tournament's inception in 1985. Notably, Steve Austin's win in 1996 was one of the stepping stones to him becoming arguably the biggest star in WWE history. The 2021 winner and reigning King of the Ring is Xavier Woods, who is not participating in this year's tournament.
WWE has only held one Queen of the Ring tournament, which was won by Zelina Vega in 2021.
Paul "Triple H" Levesque announced on Thursday that the winners of both tournaments will earn world championship matches at SummerSlam on Aug. 3.
The stakes just got even higher. The winners of this Saturday’s King and Queen of the Ring Tournament Finals will each secure a championship opportunity at #SummerSlam . #WWEKingAndQueen pic.twitter.com/Ts1FZSGU8G — Triple H (@TripleH) May 23, 2024
Those are not the only matches set for the card, of course, and we are already aware of three championship bouts set for the event. Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul headline the card in a champion vs. champion showdown for Rhodes' undisputed WWE title. Becky Lynch defends the women's world championship against Liv Morgan and Sami Zayn putting the intercontinental championship on the line in a triple-threat match with Bronson Reed and Chad Gable.
There are still many more bouts to be announced, but let's get to it and look at what we know -- and what we think -- will happen at King and Queen of the Ring, which streams live on Peacock on May 25 beginning at noon ET.
Viewing information
Date: May 25 Location: Jeddah Superdome -- Jeddah, Saudi Arabia Start time: Noon ET (countdown show starting at 11 a.m. ET) Watch live: Peacock
2024 King and Queen of the Ring matches
Undisputed WWE Championship -- Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Logan Paul: It didn't take long after Backlash for Rhodes to find a new title challenger. Six days after Rhodes defended the undisputed WWE title against AJ Styles, SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis revealed that Logan Paul was next at bat. Rhodes expressed interest in becoming a Grand Slam champion, suggesting both Rhodes' world championship and Paul's U.S. title will be at stake in Jeddah. That was the plan before Paul and his lawyers amended the contract so that only Rhodes' title would be on the line.
Women's World Championship -- Becky Lynch (c) vs. Liv Morgan: Lynch won the title in a battle royal after Rhea Ripley was forced to vacate the title after suffering an injury. Morgan was directly responsible for that injury during a segment featuring Morgan assaulting Ripley backstage. That was part of the "Liv Morgan revenge tour," as Morgan put it. Lynch last eliminated Morgan in the battle royal, but Morgan hasn't taken her eyes off the prize -- or Lynch -- in looking to continue her comeback from injury and march to a world title.
Intercontinental Championship -- Sami Zayn (c) vs. Chad Gable vs. Bronson Reed: Reed feels like something of an unnecessary inclusion in the match given Zayn and Gable have a hot story already cooking. After coming up short in his own bid to win the title from Gunther, Gable trained Zayn for WrestleMania 40, where Zayn won the title and ended Gunther's 666-day reign. Out of respect, Zayn gave Gable a shot at the title on Raw, successfully defending the title but causing Gable to snap and attack the champion after the match. Reed has been around both men and in singles matches featuring pairings of the three, there has been outside interference, leading to a triple-threat match.
King of the Ring finals -- Gunther vs. Randy Orton: Gunther advanced to the tournament finals by defeating Sheamus, Kofi Kingston and Jey Uso. Orton secured his spot by overcoming AJ Styles, Carmelo Hayes and Tama Tonga. Gunther and Orton have never been King of the Ring as they look to add another achievement to their long resumes.
Queen of the Ring finals -- Lyra Valkyria vs. Nia Jax: Recent main roster acquisition Valkyria made a surprising run to the finals by defeating Dakota Kai, Zoey Stark and former WWE women's champion Iyo Sky. Jax defeated Naomi in Round 1 before dispatching WWE women's tag team champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair in subsequent rounds. Saturday's winner will be only the second Queen of the Ring in WWE history.
