Okinawa Tours & Vacations Packages

Meaning ‘rope in the open sea’, Okinawa is aptly described. The prefecture comprises the southern half of the bigger group of islands known as Ryukyu Islands. Named after the area’s native culture, Ryukyu Islands consist of 49 inhabited and 111 uninhabited islands stretching between mainland Japan and Taiwan .

Okinawa Trip Information

Okinawa Prefecture’s inhabited islands are divided into 3 archipelagos, or groups of islands: The Okinawa Islands, Miyako Islands, and the Yaeyama Islands. Naha, the capital of Okinawa Prefecture, is located in the southern part of Okinawa Island.

Okinawa Island is the largest of all islands and has an area of 1,201 sq. km (464 sq. miles). Approximately 640 km (400 miles) south of mainland Japan, Okinawa Island features a subtropical climate and is home to many unusual and beautiful species of flora and fauna on a Japanese vacation.

Okinawa Island is located in Okinawa Prefecture and is one of three islands belonging to this southernmost prefecture of Japan.

Okinawa Travel Highlights

While Okinawa Island’s north end is made up of igneous rock, its southern end consists of a coral reef, making the islands perfect for ocean recreation such as deep-sea diving and snorkeling on Japan tours.

Okinawans have their own distinctive culture and food, separate from Japan. Their most famous worldwide export is the martial art of Karate, while their form of music, a blend of Okinawan sounds and American rock or jazz, is becoming widely popular in Japan.

Goway Is Ready to Meet Demand for Travel to Japan

TORONTO, ON  – Goway is ready and delighted to meet the high demand for trips to Japan in light of the country’s full reopening and dropping of Visa restrictions to visitors from the United States and Canada this past October. Goway has refurbished its Japanese travel packages and has up-to-date insight on the destination due to a team member visiting in mid-October.

Goway’s Head of Content & Communications, Aren Bergstrom, recently returned from a visit to Japan hosted by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO). During his 6-day stay, he enjoyed Japan’s famous hospitality at exclusive accommodations in Tokyo and on Shikoku and the islands of the Seto Inland Sea. He also experienced the natural beauty of emerging destinations and nature experiences, such as cycling the Shimanami Kaido cycling route along Japan’s famous suspension bridge system. He has provided Goway’s sales and product teams with updated information on the travel experience within Japan, as well as insight into some of the latest trends and traveller expectations within the nation.

“It was a delight to return to Japan and experience a taste of its wonders, which have been sorely missed throughout the pandemic,” says Aren Bergstrom. “Japan is capable of satisfying so many diverse traveller interests. In anticipation of Japan’s reopening, Goway had refreshed its travel packages to Japan, with a renewed focus on exclusive traveller experiences that highlight the nation’s traditions, culture, and natural landscapes. Goway’s  10-day Japan Zen & Wellness  and  11-day Japan for Families  packages are particularly representative of this renewed focus. Goway has also launched additional luxury tours throughout the nation, including the  15-day Ultimate Japan , which includes deluxe hotels, unforgettable ryokan stays, and private-guided experiences in Tokyo, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Osaka.

All arrangements were seamless

All arrangements were seamless. Each one of our tour guides was knowledgeable, friendly and eager to please. Domitur was a good choice to provide these services. Our accommodations were excellent, especially Hotel Atlantico in Ponta Delgada. The one exception was our room in Tivoli Marina, Portamao. It was worn and lacked storage/counter space. The grounds were lovely tho’.

Awesome trip to New Zealand and Australia

We just returned from a trip from New Zealand and Australia. We worked with someone from Goway to plan our itinerary. Natasa was very helpful and patient We did many changes to the original itinerary and we were able to put together an itinerary that allowed us to go to places we were wanting to see and also to fit our budget and timing. The tour companies that were used were great. The hotels were very nice and adequate. We were satisfied with all of our accommodation We would definitely use Goway again to plan another trip

Happy customer

We have used Goway Travel three times so far. The first time was in March 2023, when we went on a safari. We used Goway again in March 2024, for a trip to Hong Kong and Japan. Since we are very happy with the service from Goway, we are now back for our next trip in July. Ankita has planned an amazing trip to Athens, Santorini and Crete. Maria is The Best

Maria helped us with hotels, tours and transportation for our first trip to Japan. We wanted a blend of booked tours and open time and she mapped out a wonderful itinerary for us, got us rail pass vouchers which were waiting for us at the hotel, and made our trip smooth and fantastic. Pamela did an excellent job for us

Pamela did an excellent job for us, the hotels were all clean and modern with the one in Pattaya being exceptional. The private car transfers were really beneficial as cabs in Thailand can be hard to arrange and are often unreliable. The flights she arranged with Thailand all went smooth with no delays. We would definitely use her again - very pleased!

The reason I didn't rate the overall experience a 5 - was she had email issues (several times) - where she was not receiving my emails and I had to follow up several times. Now, was that the truth - I don't know. I'd like to believe it was...and that she wasn't ignoring me.

Arica March 2024

My first group tour and everything was perfect! The tour content, the accommodations, the different foods were first rate. The tour guru Collen from Kiboko was an excellent guide, driver and friend to us all. He is very knowledgeable, pleasant and funny who entertained us all with his smile and helping hand! Our tour group was small with only 9 travellers and proved to be the best companions and new friends for laughing and joking and eating and drinking! Highly recommend GoWay Tours and Kiboko Tours for the very best tour experience! Will definitely use GoWay again. No surprises. Exactly as itinerary states. (Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa).

OVERALL: The GoWay experience was really great. No hiccups with schedule or drivers and everything went so smoothly. All six of us said our vaca was at least a 9 out of 10. It was a great overall adventure. Some surprises included the monkeys playing and moving all around us on multiple occasions as well as getting to watch a Costa Rica Nicaragua qualifying futbol match in a bar in San Jose!

Group travel guidance

The agent we worked with helped us find the best itinerary for our group of 20, which is no small feat. She was responsive to other needs that unfolded during our booking process, including special meals and seat assignments. Goway is absolutely terrible

Our travel agent used Goway to prepare a trip to South America. Goway dragged their feet for weeks causing our airfare to become unafordable. Both the travel agent and I attempted many times to contact Goway for updates and were met with silence. We ended up cancelling and Goway has yet to refund any of our money. Avoid them at all costs. If you don't believe me, google their reviews.
