Disney cruise drink packages: How to save on beer, wine, cocktails and coffee
If you're looking for a Disney cruise drink package, you might be disappointed. That's because Disney Cruise Line doesn't sell a traditional all-inclusive beverage package like other cruise lines do. Still, passengers have plenty of ways to get alcohol or other specialty drinks on the ship at a discount.
Guests who look forward to a glass of chardonnay with dinner, umbrella-clad drinks by the pool or a nightcap on their balcony can save with wine- and beer-focused packages or even by bringing their own drinks on board with Disney's generous policy.
After sailing on seven Disney cruises, I've tried just about every trick to get a deal on drinks. Here's what you need to know to decide if any of Disney's cruise drink packages or money-saving hacks are worth it for your family.
Which drinks are included on a Disney cruise?
Your Disney cruise fare includes some beverages but not others; alcohol is not included, so a glass of wine, beer or cocktail will cost you extra.
One of the biggest perks of a Disney cruise, however, is that soda from specific onboard locations is included in the cost of your sailing. Soft drinks can be found at the beverage station on Deck 9 of Disney Magic and Disney Wonder and at two beverage stations on Deck 11 of Disney Wish , Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. Teens can also find complimentary sodas in the teen-only lounge, Vibe. Soda is included at meals as well.
However, if you order a soft drink from a bar or lounge, you will be charged a per-drink fee. Be careful about what you order so you don't pay for a drink that's free elsewhere on the ship.

Besides soda, other free-of-charge, nonalcoholic options available at beverage stands include coffee, milk and juice. At dinner, you can get soda, coffee and tea for free.
Disney cruise drink packages for wine
Wine lovers don't have the option of an all-inclusive drink package, but they can take advantage of discounted pricing by prepurchasing wine bundles. Disney Cruise Line says the packages offer a 25% savings over ordering bottles a la carte on board.
Wine packages range from $105 to $220 for three, four, five or seven bottles of wine from a preselected "classic" list of white, red or sparkling wines. The package goes up to $155 to $330 for three to seven bottles of wine from the premium wine list.
You can choose different vintages or the same for each night of your cruise. One perk of this package is that you don't have to order the number of bottles corresponding to your sailing length. You can order more than one bottle per night, and what you don't finish can be taken back to your cabin or enjoyed the following evening in the dining room. Or, you can order just a few bottles for a weeklong cruise if you'd like to split a bottle over two dinners.
Disney cruise drink packages for beer
If you want a beer package, the options are slightly more limited than the wine offerings. You can choose from seven different beers, including Blue Moon, Corona and Budweiser, and each comes in a six-pack for the price of five beers at $36.25.
If you're a hard seltzer fan, you can also order a six-pack of Truly pineapple or wild berry for $32.50. These can be delivered to your cabin for you to enjoy at your leisure around the ship.

How to book Disney's beer and wine packages
You can book Disney's cruise drink packages for beer and wine online before your sailing or after you get onto the ship.
To book before boarding your cruise, go to Disney's onboard gifts webpage and choose the beer or wine package that works for you. According to Disney Cruise Line, most items can be delivered to your cabin on embarkation day, but you can also choose to have them delivered to a dining room to enjoy at dinner.
Once you're on the ship, you can order packages in the main dining room on the first night of your restaurant rotation, from crew selling beverage packages at kiosks around the ship or by calling guest services or room service.
Disney Cruise Line's bring-your-own-alcohol policy
If you're looking for additional ways to save on cruise drinks, you might want to consider bringing your own alcohol.
Compared to most cruise lines that allow guests to bring only a small amount of wine with them upon embarkation, Disney's alcohol policy for guests is generous. Every person 21 or older can bring two bottles of unopened wine or Champagne or six 12-ounce beers on board at the beginning of the cruise and at each port of call.
All drinks that you are bringing with you must be put in your carry-on bag. If you accidentally pack these drinks in your checked luggage, they will be removed and not returned, even at the end of the sailing.
If you bring wine with a cork, your stateroom host can provide you with a corkscrew and glasses. Those who want to enjoy the wine they brought on board in the dining room must pay a $29 corkage fee per bottle, so factor that cost into your decision to bring your own wine to save money.
Other ways to save money on drinks with Disney Cruise Line
Even without an all-inclusive drink package, you can save money on drinks on a Disney cruise. These are our six tried-and-true tips for ordering fun cocktails and specialty beverages for less.

Find happy hours across the ship
While alcohol isn't free on board any Disney Cruise Line ship, you can take advantage of daily happy hours to save money. You can find out when and where happy hour is by browsing through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Happy hour is listed under daily events, and the app will tell you when and where you can find drink specials.
On my most recent Disney cruise, happy hour rotated around the various adults-only bars and lounges, though times changed depending on the bar. Select drinks were half off.
Try the drink of the day
If you're into tropical drinks, you'll want to try your ship's drink of the day every day, including on port days at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay . This rotating menu of drinks is offered at a discount.
Additionally, you can purchase a drink of the day souvenir cup, which is usually a plastic hurricane-style cup, to use throughout your cruise. This cup can only be used for a drink of the day purchase, but with the cup, you do get a larger serving of the daily cocktail special.
Check out the Sommelier Bin wines
Select bars on all Disney Cruise Line ships feature a menu with a small section called the Sommelier Bin. With this, you tell your server or bartender you want a glass of white, red or sparkling wine from the bin. They will select a wine based on the already open bottles, but you won't know exactly what you're getting until it's poured and delivered.
If you want to try something new or feel adventurous one evening, the Sommelier Bin is a great way to sample wine at a discounted price.
Enjoy free drinks in the concierge lounge
If you splurge and book yourself a concierge-level room on any of the Disney Cruise Line ships, you're privy to a host of extra amenities and benefits. One of them is free drinks.
All day, bottled water, soft drinks, milk and juice are available, and in the evening beer, wine and spirits are served by lounge bartenders. Upon arrival, you will get an information sheet with times for the daily food and beverage offerings, so you know when your family should show up for meals or drink service. If you get a cocktail or mocktail, you can take it outside the lounge if you have somewhere else to be around the ship.
Save with the Disney Cruise Line beer mug
For those who like to sip on a cold beer while enjoying a show, the pool or a game of trivia, the beer mug savings package could be worth buying. You can buy the mug online before your cruise from the Onboard Gifts and Amenities area of the Disney Cruise Line website for $15.25. You can also purchase it once you're on the ship from one of the kiosks with crew selling drink packages.
The package allows you to get a 21-ounce refill of beer for the price of a 16-ounce beer from any bar on the ship that offers draft beer.
You also get a beer token with the package that entitles you to all the benefits of the package without having to carry the glass around with you. If you choose to go with the beer mug token, you can swap it in for a mug on the last night of your cruise. The mug makes a great souvenir to take home.
Get a coffee punch card
Just like other cruise lines, specialty coffee drinks are an added cost on Disney Cruise Line ships. You can find these drinks in the Cove Cafe, an adults-only coffee spot on every ship, or the inside coffee bars near the main atrium.
If you plan on drinking more than five specialty coffee beverages throughout your sailing, ask the crew member making your drink for a punch card. Every time you visit the Cove Cafe or one of the atrium coffee bars and order a coffee-based drink, you can get your card punched. After five punches, your sixth drink is free.
Pro-tip: Put your card in your lanyard or wallet with your room key so you always have it with you. When it's time to pay for your coffee order, you don't want to find out you don't have your punch card with you.
Will you really miss the drink package if you're sailing on Disney Cruise Line?
If you've sailed on other cruise lines and bought the drink package, you might think you will miss its benefits on Disney Cruise Line. The truth is that because Disney offers so many ways to enjoy specialty drinks and alcohol that are free or discounted, including being able to bring your own alcohol on board at every port of call, you might end up saving money on drinks while sailing with Disney, compared to other lines.
Should you choose to have cocktails or specialty drinks, just remember to set a drink budget and check yourself daily to be sure you're not spending too much on beverages.
The bottom line is that even though Disney doesn't have a traditional all-inclusive drink package, you can still find ways to save money on beverage purchases. Whether you bring alcohol on board at every port, try your luck with the Sommelier Bin or save with a beer or wine package, you'll never go thirsty on Disney Cruise Line.

Disney Cruise Drinks
Welcome to my Disney Cruise drinks page. We had very few drinks on our Disney Cruise, this was mainly due to the reason that Disney alcohol policy is very lean and easy going. You are allowed to bring as much liquor as you want aboard the Disney cruise ships. Some may say that this is simply to offset their very expensive costs per passenger, but whatever the reason is, it definitely worked to our benefit. I will say one thing, Disney has by far the most affordable drink menus that I have ever seen on a cruise ship, everything was just so reasonably priced that you could compare it to your local bar. In addition to their very low prices, they also have happy hour specials. For example on Castaway Cay they had a happy hour special until noon, it was half priced mimosas, bloody Maries and screwdrivers. We ordered two drinks and the total came to $7.50 with gratuities included, as you can imagine I gave a really good tip in addition to the tagged one. But the point is that even if you don’t bring your own alcohol, you’re able to afford the one on-board.

One very dissipating aspect of Disney ships is that they lack the bar scene. The reason we came up with was because they allow to bring your own alcohol, then most people either drinks in their cabins or they just carry the drink around the ship. We did most of our alcohol consumption on our balcony, I did however buy a few drinks by the pool and they were all outstanding. I would dare to say that Disney bartenders are some of the best trained in the industry. Also, if there is a specific way that you want your drink made, just tell them and they will make for you like that. Personally, I like my drinks lean and mean, they did exactly as I described it. One thing I noticed was that they never counted liquor that was something that really annoyed me on NCL, I could not believe Norwegian is with their drinks. Hopefully they improve that aspect of their cruises so I travel with them more often.

We know when most people picture cruising, they’re sitting on the pool deck, lounging in the sun with a drink of the day cocktail in hand. It’s a vacation of dreams! While some popular cruise lines offer a prepaid all-inclusive drink package, Disney Cruise Line operates a little differently.
Let’s break down what’s included in Disney Cruise Line’s price, what’s not, and the best ways to save on drinks on your upcoming vacation!

Here’s What You Need to Know About Disney Cruise Drink Packages
Does disney cruise line offer drink packages.
Yes, Disney Cruise Line does offer drink packages, but they aren’t comparable to what’s available on other cruise lines. On DCL, there are individually grouped drink packages depending on the type of drink. For example, there is a wine package and a beer package, offering discounts for purchasing these drinks in bulk versus ordering a la carte. There are no all-inclusive, unlimited drink packages, or all you can drink options.
Before we break down what the Disney Cruise drink packages do include, let’s talk about what is complimentary with Disney Cruise Line. On DCL, guests have complimentary access to more beverage options than they would on other cruise lines, a large selling point.
What is Included with Disney Cruise Line?
With a few exceptions, mostly all soft drinks are complimentary or included in the price on Disney Cruise Line . This includes soda, for which other popular cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean and Carnival charge. If you are an avid soda drinker, this can be a large savings as individual sodas on other cruise lines cost roughly $4 a drink.
Cruisers have access to these included options at any time of day on the pool deck at the self-service drink stations. These drinks are also complimentary in the restaurants. On the other hand, if cruisers wish to purchase a soda or coffee at a bar or lounge, charges will apply.
The following drinks are complimentary with your cruise fare:
- Hot or iced tea (with multiple types of tea options)
- Regular and decaf coffee
- Coca-Cola product fountain drinks
- Vitamin water
- Hot chocolate
All of these drinks are available on the pool decks of all ships 24 hours a day, in the buffet areas (Cabanas or Marceline Market depending on the ship) when open, and all restaurants for no additional charge.
What is NOT Included with Disney Cruise Line?
While the list of included drink options is large with Disney Cruise Line, there are also plenty of offerings NOT included in the cruise fare. Alcohol of any kind is not part of the cruise fare, as well as specialty drinks and a few other varieties.
For guests wishing to purchase any of these items, they can use their Key To The World card. The a la carte price plus an 18% gratuity will be charged to their onboard account.
Don’t worry, we will go over all the prices to help you better budget for your trip soon!
Drinks that are not included in the cruise fare:
- Alcohol of any kind
- Speciality coffees (such as lattes, french press, espressos, etc)
- Bottled water
- Cans of soda (ordered through room service or at bars/lounges)
- Specialty teas

Disney Cruise Drink Packages
While Disney Cruise Line doesn’t offer an all-inclusive “all you can drink” package, they do offer packages for some types of alcohol.
Beer Bucket
There are two ways to save money on beer onboard DCL. The first option is the “beer package”. Essentially, guests have the option to purchase 6 beers but only pay the price of 5 beers. By buying this bucket package, guests are getting a beer for free.
As of December 2023, this option is around $35, depending on your choice of beer. Prices and beer offerings are subject to change at any time, so be sure to check on board. Each stateroom does have a mini cooler that fits a few beers. So, guests could purchase the bucket and bring a few back to their room for later.
The following beers are typically included in this special:
- Bud Light Lime
- Coors Light
- Michelob Ultra
- Miller Lite
Souvenir Beer Mug
The second option for saving money is purchasing the Souvenir Beer Mug. For roughly $16, guests can purchase a 21-ounce souvenir beer mug with the DCL logo on it. Once guests purchase the mug, bartenders will refill the 21-ounce mug for the price of a 16-ounce beer.
All you have to do is hand the bartender your mug, and they will fill up a new one for you! For any beer drinker, this can be a significant savings. Plus, this is a great souvenir to bring home! Another perk is that guests can bring it on their next cruise as all five ships offer this same promotion.
For guests not wanting to carry around a glass mug their entire vacation, I don’t blame you, and neither does Disney Cruise Line. For beers purchased on the pool deck, they will give out the beer in a plastic mug. (It’s still pretty, don’t worry!)
For those who don’t want to carry around anything, everywhere that sells beer will have beer tokens. The token is the size of a credit card and is essentially your “key to the beer” card. When done with your beer, just bring the empty glass to a bar. The bartender will give you a token, and when you are ready for the next beer just hand that token to the next bartender. Viola! They will fill up another 21-ounce beer mug for the price of a 16-ounce beer.
Any draft beer is available with this special.
Disney Cruise Line does offer wine packages. DCL offers a classic wine package and a premium wine package. These packages typically are based on the number of nights of the cruise itinerary, but guests are not limited to that. Available for purchase are 3 bottle packages, 4 bottle packages, 5 bottle packages, and 7 bottle packages. The wine options do vary and can change depending on the itinerary, departure port, and time of year.
Since Disney Cruise Line offers rotational dining, guests have the option to open a bottle of wine every night at dinner (or two!). If the bottles are not finished at the end of dining, the servers will store the unfinished bottle for you and have it ready the next night. Guests can also bring the wine back to their stateroom if they choose.
Wine packages do come with a 15% service charge. As of December 2023, the prices of the wine packages are as follows:
- 3 Bottles: $100/Classic, $150/Premium
- 4 Bottles: $130/Classic, $199/Premium
- 5 Bottles: $156/Classic, $244/Premium
- 7 Bottles: $210/Classic, $320/Premium
This isn’t really a “drink package”, but it is a significant savings opportunity, and guests should know about it! Be sure when getting onboard to check the Disney Navigator App. Throughout the cruise, certain bars and lounges will have a happy hour listed with the times. Usually these times are around 5pm and then a late night happy hour around 9pm or 10pm, but they do vary.
During these happy hours, select drinks are discounted up to 50%! This is a great deal, and guests aren’t restricted to the lounge to finish their drinks. A drink can be purchased from the happy hour bar and then enjoyed elsewhere around the ship.
How Much Do Drinks Cost on Disney Cruise Line?
For those who don’t want to purchase a Disney cruise drink package, don’t worry. Guests have plenty of access to bars and lounges to purchase beer, wine, and cocktails individually. But how much do these drinks cost? Let’s break it down.
The cost of a beer on DCL is between $6-$9 depending on which beer you choose. A domestic beer such as Bud Light or Coors Light is in the $6-$7 range, and craft beers or premium beers are in the higher $8-$9 range. Seltzers and ciders will also fall in this price range, running from $7-$9.
An 18% gratuity charge is added to all drinks.
Anywhere you go, wine costs can vary greatly. This is no different on Disney Cruise Line. Wine by the glass can range anywhere from around $8 for lower shelf wine all the way to $50 a glass for something like a Dom Perignon. Though, most glasses of wine are in the $8-$18 range, depending on your taste.
Some bars will offer a Sommelier bin. This is where unfinished bottles of wine go that the bar needs to finish off. These bottles could be the cheapest bottle of wine on the ship or the most expensive. Guests can pay $10 to test their luck. We have tried this before and ended up being able to try a glass of wine that would have otherwise cost us $26. This is a fun way to branch out your taste buds and try something new for a low cost.
Cocktail and Mixed Drink Costs
Just like wine, liquor prices can vary greatly. Disney Cruise Line offers a wide variety of spirits, with something for everyone to enjoy. Most drinks cost anywhere from $10-$18.
Disney Cruise Line is known for its theming, and the drinks are no different. There is not one set standard drink menu across the ship. Every lounge has its own theme of drinks and offerings, but they should all fall roughly in this price range.
Like other cruise lines, Disney Cruise Line offers an alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink of the day. The alcoholic drink of the day costs around $6.50, with the non-alcoholic options being roughly $5.50. These drinks are usually your fruity tropical cocktails such as Bahama Breezes, Mai Tais, and Rum Runners, but can vary by day.
Can Guests Bring Alcohol onto Disney Cruise Line?
Yes! Another perk of Disney Cruise Line, guests can bring alcohol onboard . Per Disney Cruise Line’s website:
Guests 21 years and older may bring a maximum of 2 bottles of unopened wine or champagne (no larger than 750 ml) or 6 beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the voyage and at each port of call. These beverages must be packed in carry-on (not checked) bags or luggage.
This is per guest, not per stateroom. If there are three adults in a stateroom, this would allow for 18 beers or 6 bottles of wine. There is a corkage fee if these bottles are brought to the dining room. Further, guests can also bring onboard drinks such as waters and sodas if they wish.
Overview of Disney Cruise Line Drink Packages
Disney Cruise Line does offer drink packages, but they aren’t what an avid cruiser on other cruise lines might expect. Disney Cruise Line does offer more complimentary options than other cruise lines, including sodas and fountain drinks. Whether you are looking for a tropical cocktail on the pool deck, a high-end glass of champagne at the piano bar, or a beer at the pub, Disney Cruise Line has got you covered!

Does Disney Cruise Offer Drink Packages?
One of the quintessential cruise experiences is sitting on the sun deck enjoying a lovely, fruity, ice-cold drink… preferably with a little umbrella sticking out of it. It’s a sure sign that you’re on vacation! But all those drinks can easily add up over the course of your cruise. Does Disney Cruise offer drink packages to help offset the cost? Yes, but you might not need them because the drinks that are included in the cost of your cruise are a bit more generous than some other cruise lines. Let’s explore.
What drinks are included in the cost of a Disney Cruise?
Disney cruises offer a number of great drink options included within the cost of your cruise. Here’s a representative sample of the types of drinks you might find available onboard at no additional cost to you – but note that some restrictions might apply.
- Fountain drinks, such as Coca-Cola products, lemonade, and vitamin water (except those sold at bars/cafes/snack bars)
- Tea (iced and hot)
- Hot cocoa mix
- Various juices
- Standard coffee (regular, decaf)
You’ll be able to find these, with free refills, in restaurants onboard and at self-service stations on the pool deck.
What drinks are not included in the cost of a Disney Cruise?
As you might expect, alcohol on your Disney Cruise is not included, and some other specialty drinks also incur a cost. If you’d like any of the following drinks, you’ll need to be prepared to pay extra, either per drink or as part of a package deal:
- Drinks sold at cafes and snack bars onboard
- Canned/bottled sodas & water (such as those offered with room service)
- Cocktails and Mocktails
- Fruit smoothies
- Specialty coffees and teas
- Other specialty drinks
What drink packages are offered onboard Disney Cruise Line?
First, to answer a common question, there is no “unlimited alcohol” or “all you can drink” package onboard Disney Cruise ships. But you can find package discounts for purchasing multiple beverages at once.
Here are some examples of offerings you might be able to buy onboard, or purchase in advance through the Disney Cruise onboard gifts web page.
The examples shown below are based on a Port Canaveral departure and are accurate as of August 2024. Offerings and prices are always subject to change , so be sure to check the Disney Cruise website, the Disney Cruise Navigator app, or signage onboard for up-to-date details.
Wine Packages
Wine packages come in many varieties, but really all you need to decide is how many bottles you want and whether you want classic (standard) wines or premium wines. The wine options within each package vary by departure port and itinerary; you’ll find an updated list in the Beer & Wine section of the DCL Onboard Gifts web page.
Classic Wine Packages (Standard Wines)
- Three Bottles: $105
- Four Bottles: $135
- Five Bottles: $160
- Seven Bottles: $220
You’ll typically be able to pick from around 15-20 different wines with this package.
Premium Wine Packages
- Three Bottles: $155
- Four Bottles: $205
- Five Bottles: $250
- Seven Bottles: $330
While most Guests choose to purchase a package that matches the length of their cruise (so they can enjoy a bottle each night at dinner), you’re certainly welcome to order and use a package that matches your preferred usage. You’re free to use more than one of your bottles per day; you’re allowed to take unfinished wine back to your stateroom or just ask your server to keep it at the ready for your next meal). You can even carry up to 2 bottles of wine off the ship at the end of the cruise if you happen to have leftovers.
Beer Packages
For $36.25, enjoy a six pack of your favorite beer. Offerings may include Budweiser, Michelob Ultra, Coors Light, Blue Moon, Corona, Heineken (Regular and Non-Alcohol), Corona, and others.
Disney Cruise Beer Mug Savings Package
This one’s a bit more complicated to explain, but beer with us.
With this package, you pay $15.25 for a souvenir Disney Cruise Beer Mug and a small token. It does NOT get you unlimited refills. Instead, for the duration of your cruise, you take either the mug or the token to any of the bars onboard the ship. There, you’ll be provided with a 21 oz. draft beer for the price of a 16 oz. beer. In other words, the mug/token will get you an additional 5 oz. for free every time you buy a beer onboard.
Typical draft options include Heineken, Bud Light, Miller Lite, Stella Artois, Guinness, Angry Orchard, Michelob Ultra, Samuel Adams, Blue Moon, Kona Longboard, and Newcastle Brown Ale.
Hard Seltzer Packages
For $32.50, enjoy a six pack of various hard seltzer offerings. At the time this article was last updated, offerings included Truly Pineapple and Truly Wild Berry.
Soft Drink Packages
Six packs of soft drinks (soda/pop) are offered through Room Service onboard the ship.
Bottled Water Packages
You can pre-purchase Dasani bottled water (usually in 16 oz. aluminum bottles) to be delivered to your stateroom prior to your arrival.
- Six Bottles: $15
- 12 Bottles: $30
- 24 Bottles: $60
Smart Water is also offered at $21.25 for a six-pack.
Room service typically also offers bottled water options and may have a bulk discount for larger orders. For example, we’ve seen offerings such as “buy five, get one free,” and “buy 20, get four free.” Check your room service menu for details.
Paying for Drink Packages with an Onboard Credit
All purchases onboard a Disney Cruise are charged back to your shipboard folio account. That means you won’t have to dig out cash or a credit card every time you want a drink. Did you know that many travel agencies will provide you with a free onboard credit that can be used toward these onboard purchases?
Our travel agency partner The Vacationeer offers some of the most generous onboard credits around. Depending on the cruise you pick, you could get up to $1,0000 to use towards drink packages and other onboard purchases!
Their friendly and knowledgeable travel agents will answer all of your questions about cruising with Disney , make your reservations for you, and keep you on track with all your payment deadlines and booking windows.
