Come Visit Or Come And Visit: Which Is Correct?
If you’re reading this, chances are you’re trying to find the answer to this question, and you’re not alone. Many people struggle with choosing the right phrasing when it comes to this expression. But don’t worry, I’m here to help.
I know just how important it is to use the right language to effectively communicate your message. That’s why in this article, we’ll explore the nuances of ‘Come Visit’ and ‘Come And Visit,’ and help you choose the right one for your specific situation.
We’ll also examine their usage in everyday conversation, and provide examples of each to help you understand the difference.
So whether you’re a writer, marketer, or simply someone looking to improve your language skills, this article has something for you. So let’s get into it.
Which Is Grammatically Correct, And Why?
One of the questions that frequently comes up is whether it’s grammatically correct to say ‘come visit’ or ‘come and visit’. So, which is correct and why?
The short answer is that ‘come and visit’ is grammatically correct. The reason for this is that ‘and’ is a coordinating conjunction that is used to join two independent clauses
In this case, ‘come’ and ‘visit’ are both independent clauses and ‘and’ is necessary to join them together.
On the other hand, ‘come visit’ is technically a sentence fragment. While it’s commonly used in conversation and informal writing, it’s not considered proper grammar.
In formal writing, it’s important to use the full form ‘come and visit’.
It’s worth noting that this is a relatively minor issue, and most people won’t even notice if you use ‘come visit’ instead of ‘come and visit’.
However, if you want to ensure that your writing is grammatically correct and polished, it’s best to err on the side of caution and use the full form.
For example, in some dialects or regional variations of English, it’s common to drop the ‘and’ in phrases like ‘come visit’. Additionally, in poetry or creative writing, there’s often more leeway with grammar and syntax.
In summary, ‘come and visit’ is the grammatically correct form of the phrase, and should be used in formal writing or when you want to ensure that your writing is polished.
However, there are exceptions to this rule, and in some dialects or creative contexts, ‘come visit’ may be acceptable.
Why Is Come And Visit Us Used?
Have you ever seen a sign or an advertisement that says ‘Come and visit us’? Maybe you’ve heard a friend or a family member use that phrase when inviting you over to their house. But have you ever wondered why we use this particular phrase?
First and foremost, the phrase ‘Come and visit us’ is a friendly and inviting way to ask someone to spend time with you.
Whether it’s a business inviting potential customers to check out their products or services, or a friend inviting someone over for dinner, ‘Come and visit us’ is a warm and welcoming way to extend an invitation.
Another reason why ‘Come and visit us’ is used is that it can help create a sense of community and belonging.
When a business or organization invites people to visit them, they’re inviting people to become a part of their community and to experience what they have to offer.
Similarly, when a friend invites someone to their home, they’re inviting them to be a part of their personal community and to share in their life experiences.
In conclusion, the phrase ‘Come and visit us’ is used because it’s a warm and welcoming way to invite someone to spend time with you.
It has its roots in Middle English and Latin, and it can help create a sense of community and belonging.
So, the next time you see a sign or hear someone say ‘Come and visit us,’ remember that it’s more than just an invitation – it’s an invitation to connect and build relationships.
Why Is Come Visit Us Used?
‘Come visit us’ is a phrase that has been used for decades, and for good reason. It is a simple, yet effective way to encourage people to physically visit a location, whether it be a store, restaurant, or any other type of business.
One of the main reasons why ‘come visit us’ is such a popular phrase is because it appeals to our human need for connection.
In today’s digital age, it’s easy to feel disconnected from the world around us. We spend so much time on our phones and computers that we forget about the importance of face-to-face interactions.
By inviting people to come visit a physical location, businesses are able to create a sense of community and connection that is hard to replicate online.
Of course, the effectiveness of ‘come visit us’ as a call-to-action also depends on how it is used. It’s important for businesses to be creative and come up with unique ways to use this phrase in their marketing efforts.
For example, a restaurant may use ‘come visit us for our daily specials’ or ‘come visit us to try our new menu items’.
By incorporating specific details, businesses can make this phrase more compelling and increase the chances of people actually visiting.
How Is Come And Visit Us Used In A Sentence?
‘Come and visit us’ is a commonly used phrase that can be used in a variety of contexts. From personal invitations to business advertisements, this phrase has become a staple in our everyday language.
Here, we’ll take a closer look at how ‘come and visit us’ is used in a sentence and explore some of the different ways this phrase can be incorporated into your everyday communication.
Let’s start with the basics. The phrase ‘Come and visit us’ is often used to convey a sense of urgency or enthusiasm in an invitation.
By using the conjunction ‘and,’ we emphasize the invitation and make it sound more welcoming and informal.
For example, if you’re inviting a friend to come over to your house, you might say ‘Come and visit us!.’
The use of ‘and’ here conveys a sense of excitement and enthusiasm, which makes your friend feel more welcome and appreciated.
- Personal Invitation: ‘Hey, why don’t you come and visit us next weekend? We’d love to have you over for dinner.’
Another common usage of ‘Come and visit us’ is in a business or commercial setting. Companies often use this phrase in their advertising campaigns to encourage customers to visit their store, office, or website.
The use of ‘and’ here conveys a sense of urgency and importance, which makes the invitation sound more compelling.
For instance, a store might say ‘Come and visit us for our end-of-season sale!’ or a website might say ‘Come and visit us for the latest deals and discounts!’
The use of ‘and’ in both these examples adds emphasis and encourages the customer to take action.
- Business Advertisement: ‘Come and visit us at our new location and see our latest products in person!’
Finally, ‘come and visit us’ can be used to create a sense of community and belonging.
Whether you’re inviting someone to your home or encouraging them to check out your business, this phrase communicates a sense of openness and inclusivity.
It invites people to become a part of your community and to share in your experiences. Here’s an example:
- Creating Community: ‘We’re having a neighborhood block party next weekend. Come and visit us and get to know your neighbors!’
Overall, the phrase ‘Come and visit us’ is a versatile and effective way to invite someone to visit you, whether in a personal or professional setting.
The use of ‘and’ adds emphasis, urgency, and warmth to the invitation, making it sound more genuine and appealing.
How Is Come Visit Us Used In A Sentence?
Let’s take a closer look at the usage of ‘Come visit us.’ Unlike ‘Come and visit us,’ the phrase ‘Come visit us’ does not use the conjunction ‘and,’ which makes it sound more direct and straightforward.
The phrase ‘Come visit us’ is commonly used when the invitation is more formal or professional in nature.
For example, if you’re inviting a colleague or business partner to your office, you might say ‘Please come visit us at our headquarters.’
The use of ‘Come visit us’ in this context conveys a sense of professionalism and formality, which is appropriate for a business setting.
In addition to being used in a professional setting, ‘Come visit us’ can also be used in a personal setting to invite friends or family to visit.
For example, if you’re inviting a friend to your home, you might say ‘Come visit us this weekend.’ The use of ‘Come visit us’ in this context conveys a sense of warmth and hospitality, which is appropriate for a personal invitation.
Another common usage of ‘Come visit us’ is in the context of travel and tourism. Cities and countries often use this phrase to invite tourists to visit their destination.
For example, a tourism board might say ‘Come visit us in sunny California!’ The use of ‘Come visit us’ in this context conveys a sense of excitement and invitation, which is appropriate for attracting tourists.
- Tourist Attraction: “If you’re ever in town, be sure to come and visit us at the local museum. We have some amazing exhibits on display.”
Overall, the key to using ‘Come visit us’ in a sentence is to keep it simple, direct, and inviting.
Whether you’re using it in a personal or business context, this phrase is an effective way to communicate your desire to spend time with others and build relationships.
So, the next time you’re extending an invitation, consider using ‘Come visit us’ as a warm and welcoming way to invite others into your life.
The answer to the question ‘Come Visit’ or ‘Come and Visit’: Which is correct?’ is that both are acceptable and commonly used in different contexts.
‘Come visit’ is a more casual and friendly invitation, often used among friends and family. It can also be used in marketing or advertising to create a sense of personal connection with the audience.
‘Come and visit,’ on the other hand, is a more formal invitation, often used in professional or business settings. It can also be used to emphasize the importance of the invitation or to convey a sense of urgency.
Ultimately, the choice between ‘come visit’ and ‘come and visit’ depends on the context and the tone you want to convey.
Both are grammatically correct, and the important thing is to use the one that feels most appropriate for the situation.
So, next time you’re inviting someone to come over, consider your relationship with them and the context of the invitation.
Whether you choose ‘come visit’ or ‘come and visit,’ make sure to do so with a friendly and inviting tone that will make your guests feel welcome and appreciated.

Templates for Business Moving Announcement Letter
C.L. Seidler
Moving can be one of the most exciting and stressful events in your life, and planning an office move means even more loose ends that need to be tied up.
As a business owner, it's important to let your employees, clients, and vendors know when and where you'll be moving so no one is left out to dry on the big day. You can share these changes in writing with an office relocation announcement letter.
But who needs these letters, exactly, and when do they need them? And how should they be worded?
In order to help relieve a bit of pressure before the big move, we've created a guide on what to put in your relocation announcement letters for your employees, customers, and vendors. Plus, we've included moving announcement letter templates that you can adjust as needed. So, let's get started!
What's A Business Moving Announcement Letter?
A business moving announcement letter is an official notice for anyone who needs to know your business will be relocating to a new location.
Everyone you work with should be informed of the change so they can make the necessary adjustments to transition with you.
Here are the main groups you'll want to get in touch with (and when you should tell them):
- Customers : If customers come to your business location or ship things to you frequently, they may also need a month's notice. For example, if you have a customer who walks to your current location–but will need to drive or take transit to your new one–this gives them some time to get used to that change and figure out the best time of day to make the journey. Online customers can remain blissfully unbothered.
- Employees : Your team members need to know where to show up for work so they can adjust their commutes, which may mean a different driving route or morning routine. Give them one month's notice to get everything in order. It's enough time to tweak their schedules but not too much time to let rumors run wild.
- Vendors : Many vendors may need at least three weeks to process a business relocation letter. While many businesses allow you to change your address on their website, it is also key to double-check that you are not moving out of their service area and to ensure there will be no disruption in service.
- State business registration offices: Register with your state so you can be sure all official communications, such as legal notices and tax notifications, are sent to the correct address. That way, you have the info you need to stay in compliance with state laws.
What to Include in Your Business Address Change Announcement Letter
Here's the baseline info you'll want to put in your letter:
- Your company name and contact information (including any phone or fax numbers that may be changing)
- Your effective move date
- The new address (you may want to include directions, proximity to the former location, parking and/or public transportation notes)
You'll also want to print this letter on official letterhead using your company's font and logo.
While business contacts and vendors only need the basic details, you may want to give more of an explanation to your employees and customers in order to drum up excitement and get in front of a million follow-up questions. Consider including things like:
- The reason for the move : Office upgrade, more efficient space, better parking options, business expansion, access to freeways or public transportation lines, proximity to other major business centers.
- Details about the new place : Floor number, neighboring businesses, parking, access to public transport, and facilities.
- Benefits: More room, amenities, nearby lunch spots, parks and attractions
- Timeline: List moving milestones such as the last day at the old office, the first day at the new office (and any overlap), when things need to be packed up, and where boxes and other items should be placed.
- Any changes to schedules as a result of the move : This is especially important for employees who may have increased commute times.
- Associated promotions or collaborations : A grand opening, open house, or friend referral discount are fun ways to ensure client loyalty and even generate leads . If you move next to a business that complements yours, that may also be a good chance to cross-promote or collaborate.
- Who to contact if someone has a question : This person should be available to respond to inquiries within two business days.

Re: Notification of Change of Address
Dear [Employee name],
Thank you for being such a dedicated and loyal part of our team. We appreciate all that you do.
After careful consideration, we’ve decided to move to a new office location. [Reason for move, such as:]
- Our business is expanding and we need more room to grow.
- We’re moving to a space that better meets our needs.
- We’re opening a new location and need you on the transition team.
- We wanted to be closer to [transportation, landmark, or city center].
Beginning on [date change takes effect], our new office location will be [new address].
[Changes to mention, if applicable]
- Despite the change of location, your pay rate and number of hours per week remain the same.
- Due to the move, your schedule will include the following changes:
- The new office hours will be [new schedule].
- Please park [new parking guidelines].
Please let [person or department] know at [contact information] if you have questions or conflicts, or if you need clarification on anything.
[Your name]
For Vendors
Dear [Vendor],
Thank you for being such a reliable part of our team. We appreciate all that you do.
[Changes to mention if applicable]
- We will be moving throughout the preceding month, but do not wish for a change in service until the official move date.
- The following move-related adjustments are requested in the interim [list those].
- The new office hours will be [new schedule]. Please confirm that you are available within that time frame.
- Directions to the new space are as follows:
- Please park and perform any loading/unloading at [insert location].
- Changes to packages and delivery labels should be as follows:
Please contact [person or department] at [phone number] to confirm your ability to perform uninterrupted service, or to discuss any potential conflicts.
How to Handle Move-Related Conflicts
Some employees and customers may be unable to squeeze longer travel times into their day, and you may be moving out of a vendor's delivery zone.
The best solution to these conflicts is to be open to possible work workarounds, like schedule adjustments or a grace period for employees. For example, you might tweak your tardiness policy to allow employees to be 10 minutes late the first month you're in the new location.
You can also sell more items online for customers who can't make it to you as frequently. If you have vendors who can't get to you as easily, ask for their nearest branch or referrals for service in the new neighborhood.
It's also key to designate a person who can answer all the inevitable questions. Transparency and availability will make everyone involved feel prioritized.
How Should You Deliver This Letter?
Employees and business partners will appreciate an email and/or formal printed letter sent to them personally. They will also need the most details about the logistics involved, so having everything outlined in one place will help keep things streamlined.
For the most part, customers will not require as many details, so if a longer notification feels like overkill, you may want to send a quick email or a business postcard.
Remember to update all websites and social media accounts, including review sites such as Yelp and Google Reviews .
If you send out a regular client e-newsletter, be sure to include: "We're Moving!" (or a variant) in the subject line. It is also a good idea to send a "We've Moved" follow-up reminder. No one wants to show up to an empty building!
De-Stress the Mess
Giving a head's up on the logistics of a business move ahead of time will save you, and your team, a ton of headaches.
Putting the details of the change in writing up to a month in advance with an explanation and timeline gives them the info they need to adjust smoothly to the change.
By providing a clear outline of what to expect and how they can help, everyone will be able to keep their cool, pitch in, and share in the excitement of starting a new chapter.
From employees to customers to your copy machine technician, keeping everyone in the know makes sure that no one gets left in the dust.

Weekly newsletter.
Planning a trip to Scotland. Do any of y’all remember the elderly couple golfing in the movie Caddyshack ? Well Mr. And Mrs. Haverkamp are headed back to the homeland, Caledonia. I have two very dear friends that whenever they tell me they’re going to play a round of gowf, yes gowf. All I can think of are the Haverkamps. It makes me smile every time. The Haverkamps leave for Scotland tomorrow and it has been quite the undertaking planning the adventure . Mrs. Haverkamp, I will refer to as Margaret been in charge of taking copious notes as Mr. Haverkamp, Tommy, “the tech wizard” has been barking off important details that should be emailed and the hand written only because it is the prudent thing to do. I failed to mention Tommy has just as much German in him as Scot. Margaret on the other hand has been trying and I would say successfully ignoring the detailed oriented, highly structured and what he would call efficient, for nearly 5 decades. Margaret said there has been more planning for this 10 day trip to Scotland than The Lewis and Clark Expedition of 1804. The Haverkamp Expedition is setting out almost 220 years to the day ! If only they had Sacagawea to go as a technical advisor, next year Paris. Maybe their granddaughter can fill her shoes. I will keep y’all updated on this 10 day adventure about a not so random couple in my world.
Decoration Day is here again and Rosebank is going to try to be as prepared as Tommy. It would only be prudent. Louise and her ledger, Yolanda and Aydeli with their lists, The Influencer and his filling system in his office, lastly myself, what have I gotten into ! Rest assured, mistakes will be made, somethings won’t go as planned, the unplanned, will fill voids and Rosebank will continue on. As Ikey Freeman would say “everything’s going to be alright” The Stand will have the best fruits and vegetables available from our fields, local neighbors and regional farms as the crops mature. The Kitchen will have great options for the holiday week including seasonal fruit cobblers. Yes, it’s time for Peach, Blueberry and if we’re lucky Black Cobblers. Try them with Fior di Latte Gelato and other flavors, some of which have been hand pick be Rosebank’s Gelato expert. Hint, fluent in many languages.
Be safe. Jonathan
We are a working farm since 1988 that has been providing fresh, high-quality produce to locals and visitors season after season. Rosebank Farms consist of over 50 acres that produces crops year-round. The planting, cultivating and harvesting never ceases. Our passion for farming and dedication to healthy and delicious food has allowed us to grow and expand while maintaining our commitment to you and quality.
Our Produce
We offer a wide variety of seasonal produce, including fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Rosebank Farms celebrates fall with heirloom pumpkins, winter squash, sweet potatoes, zucchini, speckled butter beans, green beans, wax beans, Kentucky wonders, Italian beans, and arugula. Celosia, marigold, and zinnias bloom with an abundance of monarch butterflies. Beets, carrots, cabbage are all maturing and the sweet peas, snow peas, and sugar snaps will soon be picked. Heirloom tomatoes slowly ripen...of course Mother Nature plays a starring role as the tender crops' nemesis-frost! Stay up to date with what's available, what is working in the kitchen, and whatever else Jonathan wants to tell you about by signing up for our newsletter!
Our stand is now open at our new location right down the road at Kiawah River. We are still right off of Betsy Kerrison Pkwy. We have local artwork, sweetgrass baskets, honey, and a few local vendors. Rows of vegetables bins line our market and apples from North Carolina fill baskets, and coolers hold the seafood and prepared foods. There is always something at our stand that you will need to take home with you. I promise!
Our Kitchen
Bounty from our fields transformed by the awesome kitchen staff stocks the refrigerators at our stand. Appetizers, salads, soups, quiches, pasta, main dishes, and sides invite healthy enjoyment. Whether you're looking for a snack or a full Southern meal, you are sure to love whatever it is you find here. Our food options are always changing, but we try and keep our favorites in stock. Our staff is always in the kitchen working hard to fill your bellies!

Well-Paid Maids Celebrates 7 Years of Paying Living Wages
Aaron Seyedian launched the home cleaning company Well-Paid Maids in June 2017 and, that August, began offering cleaning services around the D.C. area with his staff of three -- including himself.
At the time, he paid cleaners a living wage of $16 an hour, plus benefits.
Here's what he told The Washington Post in September 2017: "It's just immoral for people to have to panic every time the rent is due, to wonder how they're going to pay for their groceries, or whether they can buy their kid a pair of shoes."
Today, Well-Paid Maids has grown into a team of around 35 employees. Cleaners now get paid a starting wage of $24 an hour. Plus, they get benefits, like health, vision, dental and life insurance; 24 paid days off per year; 100% employer-paid commuting costs; and more.
Aaron and other Well-Paid Maids team members have also advocated for paid family and medical leave, higher minimum wages, and more.
This summer, help Well-Paid Maids celebrate seven years of creating change in a notoriously dirty industry.

Joyse always does a fabulous job grooming our dog Hank! He has some anxiety but always does a great job with her. We have been very pleased with Furry Land and the convenience of them coming to you makes it even better!
So friendly and professional! Did a great job with both of my dogs!
Sarah was amazing! She treated Harley like her own. I explained what I wanted and she exceeded my expectations. Harley is a Great Pyrenees/New Finland mix so grooming can be a challenge. However, Sarah breezed through it and Harley walked back in the house a new dog and a happy dog which truly means the world to me. I can't thank you enough Sarah and I am so relieved I have found our groomer. Will not be going to anyone else. Thank you Furry Land!
Great job on my large Labradoodle Lucy, and she loves them.
Never had a bad experience with Furry Land!! My dogs love the workers and they come back looking so nice every time!! Highly recommend them to anyone thinking about it!
Morgan was the best person ever woth my husky! She was so patient with my big boy aamd i know it was not easy but Zeus came out happy and not trembling and scared! We love morgan and will be customers from here on out! And thank you morgan foe keeping me updated on how he was doing with videos!! That was my highlight!!
Excellent service! Our dog really needed LTC and it shows💕
Arrived on time. Both dogs look great.
I love love love this place! We had been using a local groomer that did an okay job but my dog would tremble in fear just walking into that place. But Shelby with Fury Land had great communication with us, arrived ahead of schedule (a huge plus!) and she looked very professional! My little Bear (shih tzu) was happy going with her and coming back! And he looks so adorable! She even put a tie on him! We will be using her for him and our other animals too! Highly recommend!
