Grammy-winning artist Beyoncé is back on her first solo tour since 2016. Tickets are still on sale for those who wish to see Beyoncé perform in her celebrated Renaissance World Tour through October 2023. Stick with us, and we'll show you the best options for where to buy Beyoncé tickets today.

The 2023 Renaissance World Tour kicked off with an international leg in Sweden on May 10, 2023. Beyoncé then traveled across ten European countries before arriving in North America on July 8. The tour's United States and Canada leg will continue through October 1 as the musician plays 13 more shows in nine cities.

Supporting her 2022 album "Renaissance," the concert setlists have included Beyoncé playing each track from her seventh studio album. The Renaissance World Tour also includes "Queen Bey" playing various hits from her larger discography, such as "Formation," "Love on Top," and "Crazy in Love."

If you're aiming to buy tickets for the final performances of Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour, we've got you covered. Here's our breakdown of Beyoncé's remaining tour schedule, purchasing details, and resale and original ticket prices. Or you can browse through the available tickets left through StubHub and Vivid Seats at your leisure.

Beyoncé 2023 Renaissance tour schedule

The Renaissance World Tour still has 11 concert dates across eight cities, including three shows in Inglewood, California. In addition to one stop in Vancouver, Canada, the remaining shows will be held in the United States. Tickets are the most expensive in Beyoncé's hometown of Houston, Texas. All concert times are listed in local time zones. We've linked to the ticket site with the cheapest deals (at the time of writing) in the 'Prices from' column.

Where to buy tickets for Beyoncé 2023 Renaissance tour

You can purchase original tickets to Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour through Ticketmaster , although only a select number remain for each 2023 date and location. However, the tickets still available on Ticketmaster are typically more expensive than those found on verified resale platforms such as StubHub and Vivid Seats .

The prices for standard tickets to Beyoncé's concerts from StubHub start at approximately $102 on the lower end to nearly $400, depending on the venue. Vivid Seats offers similar price ranges for standard Renaissance World Tour tickets, ranging from about $100 in Las Vegas to $375 in Houston. When considering VIP packages, the cost increases significantly on each purchasing platform.

How much are Beyoncé tickets?

The prices for original Beyoncé concert tickets have risen considerably since the end of the initial Verified Fan Sale through Ticketmaster. Additionally, the cost of an original ticket varies depending on the demand for a particular location and date.

For instance, the cheapest price on Ticketmaster for a standard original ticket to the 2023 Renaissance World Tour is $91.83 for her Las Vegas, Nevada show on August 27. However, there are very few standard original tickets remaining for Beyoncé's concerts, so you may have better luck with verified resales.

Meanwhile, some original VIP packages, such as the Pure/Honey on Stage Risers, cost well over $3,000. At Beyoncé's August 30 performance in Santa Clara, the original VIP package costs $3,601. On the less expensive side, original Beyhive VIP Package prices are $1,401 in Seattle. Here's a breakdown of the various Beyoncé VIP packages from Ticketmaster's website .

Original prices typically come in much higher than resale prices for Beyoncé concerts. Many of the cheaper tickets are verified resales for nearer tour dates, suggesting you might find the best prices when it gets closer to the concert date.

Who is opening for Beyoncé's tour?

Beyoncé's world tour does not include any opening acts from other artists. Once the showtime begins for each concert date, it will be the Queen Bey herself who comes onstage.

There are no traditional opening acts for the 2023 Renaissance World Tour because Beyoncé is technically the opener to her own concerts. The time typically reserved for other artists at the start of the concert instead sees Beyoncé sing R&B ballads from her early discography, beginning with her Destiny's Child-era 2000 song "Dangerously in Love 2."

Approximately four songs are played in Beyoncé's "Opening Act" before moving into her "Renaissance" tracks. The concert is approximately two and a half hours long with 31 songs on the setlist, so Beyoncé's tour has more than enough hit music to fill the night.

Since Beyoncé opened with the international leg of her ninth solo tour, the music sensation will take her final bow of the concert series on October 1 in Kansas City, Missouri. While the remaining concert dates are primarily in the United States, there will be one last international show in Vancouver, Canada, on September 11, 2023.

Please don’t be alarmed and try to remain calm — nearly six years since her last solo trek, Beyoncé is back and (hopefully) heading to a city near you before wrapping her tour this fall. The superstar announced her massive Renaissance world tour back in February, marking Beyoncé’s first global solo tour in support of her seventh album of the same name. With the tour winding down, there’s only a few weeks left to score Beyoncé tickets . Get Beyoncé Tickets on Vivid Seats

With the final month of the Renaissance tour approaching, Beyoncé shared a statement on Instagram that “Virgo Season is upon us.” She continued: “This tour has been such a joy and as we approach the last month, my birthday wish is to celebrate with you wearing your most fabulous silver fashions to the shows 8.23 – 9.22! We’ll surround ourselves in a shimmering human disco ball each night. Everybody mirroring each other’s joy. Virgo Season together in the house of chrome. See you there! Your B at RWT.”

Ticket registration and sales for Beyoncé’s tour were previously split into three different groups, and now Beyoncé tickets are on sale for all remaining dates, including on Ticketmaster and Vivid Seats .

Renaissance World Tour 2023 North America Dates

Wondering if Beyoncé is playing a show in your area? Below are the remaining cities the Grammy winner will visit for the 2023 North American leg of the Renaissance tour . Beyoncé previously also added an additional three shows to the tour, including Atlanta (8/14/23), Las Vegas, (8/27/23), and Inglewood, CA (9/4/23).

Not surprisingly, Ticketmaster said it saw a massive demand for the Renaissance tour in a blog on its website. “Fan demand already exceeds the number of tickets available by more than 800% based on the registration numbers in the Group A cities. It is expected that many interested fans may not be able to get tickets because demand drastically exceeds supply.”

Additionally, there will be a Verizon Up Presale. Registration windows vary by city, so check the schedule below and be sure to note when the window closes for the show you’re interested in attending.”

In other words, if you tried to register for Verified Fan presale, you needed to see which group your city was a part of ahead of time. Group A registration was open until Feb. 2, with Group B registration previously scheduled until Feb. 9, and Group C until Feb. 16.

European dates started in May, and Beyoncé embarked on the North American leg of the Renaissance tour over the summer, including stops in Toronto (read our Renaissance tour review ), Los Angeles, Houston, and New Orleans. Though Beyoncé headlined a show in Dubai — her first concert in four years at the time — she didn’t play any songs from Renaissance , Rolling Stone ‘s No. 1 album of 2022 (“the musical highlight of the year”) and a frontrunner at the 65th Grammys .

When Beyoncé dropped Renaissance last summer, Rolling Stone ‘s Mankaprr Conteh wrote that “Beyoncé flung open the doors to a nightclub of her own making, a place where anyone can be the hottest person in the galaxy … the album traverses eras of dance music to conjure the superhuman confidence and deeply human connection of a night out. The thematic triumph of the auteur’s seventh album is this union of the extraordinary and the earthly across it, a duality that lives on the dancefloors Renaissance was inspired by — and in all of us.”

BeyHive Verified Fan Presale started Feb. 6 for those who registered in Group A, followed by Groups B and C.

The first round of the BeyHive presale arrived just one day after Beyoncé made Grammys history on Feb. 5. With 32 wins under her belt, Beyoncé broke the record for the most Grammy Awards in music history, winning the Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album for Renaissance .

“I’d like to thank my beautiful husband, my beautiful three children who are at home watching,” Queen Bey said during her acceptance speech. “I’d like to thank the queer community, for your love, and for inventing this genre. God bless you. Thank you so much to the Grammys.”

While Renaissance didn’t win a trophy for Album of the Year , Beyoncé still took home a slew of other awards, including Best R&B Song for “Cuff It,” Best Dance/Electronic Record for “Break My Soul,” and Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Plastic Off the Sofa.”

“You changed my life,” Lizzo told Beyoncé during her Grammys acceptance speech for her Record of the Year win. “You sang that gospel medley, and the way you made me feel, I was like, ‘I want to make people feel this way with my music.’ So thank you so much. You clearly are the artist of our lives.”

Tickets for these dates of Beyoncé's tour are now on sale: What fans need to know

beyonce tour ticket prices europe

Tickets to the first of three groupings of  Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour dates went on sale Monday and, not surprisingly, are doing brisk business for the Grammy legend.

In fact, her first show – May 10 in Stockholm, Sweden – sold out Tuesday, prompting the singer to add an additional Stockholm show on May 11.

Back in the U.S., staggering on-sale dates have prevented ticket sale meltdowns  (so far anyway) as experienced when Taylor Swift put her tour tickets up for grabs last year .

Queen Bey, who Sunday night became the  all-time Grammy champion , announced her tour last week and immediately saw fan demand exceed the number of tickets by 800%.

Group A tickets are now on sale. If you're in Groups B and C, there's still some time to get a seat to what promises to be one of the hottest tours in years.

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

Here's our detailed look on how to get tickets . For the latest timing details, visit Ticketmaster and find the event info for your desired date and city.

Here's what else fans should know:

How much are Beyoncé tickets?

USA TODAY found face-value ticket prices that ranged from $62 and up. Club Renaissance tickets were closer to $1,000, and some floor seats were $300 and bowl seats were around $500. Ticket prices will vary according to city and venue.

Many artists have begun to give concert promoters the OK to make a portion of each show's best seats subject to Dynamic Pricing , which is an attempt to match demand with the supply of premium seats.

The end result can sometimes be prices that far exceed original face value, as some fans of Bruce Springsteen found when dynamically priced seats for his tour cost upwards of $4,000. Only about 12% of Springsteen tickets were sold this way, his management reported.

There have been rumours that Beyoncé has been considering British girl group Flo, who will receive the Rising Star Award at the 2023 Brit Awards. Other potential openers who will join Bey on stage are the Nigerian singer Tems, as well as English singer and rapper Bree Runway.

When did Beyonce last tour in the UK?

Beyoncé’s last tour in the UK was back in 2018 with her husband Jay-Z for her show ‘On The Run II’. The couple performed a total of six acts that included a mix of both of the stars’ songs such as ‘Crazy in Love’, ‘99 Problems’ and ‘Run the World (Girls)’.

They started the tour in Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester and London before moving onto the rest of Europe and finishing the tour back in the USA.

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

The Beyhive is buzzing like never before.

After much speculation, Beyoncé has officially announced her highly anticipated stadium “Renaissance Tour.”

Seven years after her “Formation Tour” and five years after the “On The Run II Tour” with her husband Jay Z, the 28-time Grammy winner (and 88-time nominee!) will embark on her solo headlining “Renaissance Tour” in support of her critically acclaimed chart-topping 2022 album “Renaissance” all summer long.

The international tour will start overseas in Sweden, Belgium, the U.K., France and Germany in May before she returns to North America for 29 huge stadium concerts starting July 8 at Toronto’s Rogers Centre .

Singer Beyoncé strikes a pose onstage.

And although Queen Bey isn’t coming to the Big Apple on the run — as of now — she will get close to the City That Never Sleeps.

On July 29 and July 30 , Mrs. Knowles is set to touch down at East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium for two huge back-to-back concerts.

She’s familiar with the venue too. The last show of her “Formation Tour” was at the Giants and Jets’ home stadium on Oct. 7, 2016. That time around, she brought Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar onstage with her.

Who will she bring this time? Will she sing the same songs she did at her recent Dubai concert?

All we know is the best way to find out is live.

Want to see live music this year?

Check out our list of the 52 biggest concert tours in 2023 here.

Beyoncé 2023 tour schedule

Where will Beyoncé go on tour in North America?

Below, you’ll find a complete list of all upcoming 26 tour dates, venues and links to buy tickets for shows where the pre-sale has already taken place.

Beyoncé opening acts

At the time of publication, Beyoncé does not have any opening acts lined up for her 2023 “Renaissance Tour” although there are rumors that 74-year-old singer Grace Jones will be joining her swirling on Twitter .

We personally can’t get enough of Jones’ seven-minute cover of Roxy Music’s “Love Is the Drug.”

In 2016, Knowles was joined by DJ Khaled on the “Formation Tour.” Two years later, she co-headlined with her husband and fellow 88-time Grammy nominee Jay Z on the “On The Run II Tour.”

Beyoncé Dubai setlist

Although Beyoncé didn’t perform any tracks from her 2022 record “Renaissance” at the Jan. 23 concert in Dubai, she was able to cram in several hits from her expansive catalogue as well as a few covers into her 17-song set.

Here’s her set list (courtesy of  SetList.FM ):

01.)  “At Last”   (Harry Warren cover; made famous by Etta James)

02.)  “XO”  ( from her 2014 album “Beyonce”)

Beyoncé “Renaissance” album

Knowles’ “Renaissance” was the most critically-acclaimed album of 2022 showing up on countless year-end lists as 2022’s best.

The 16-track album, clocking in at just a little over an hour was also extremely popular with fans as well quickly charting at number on the Billboard 200, making it Beyoncé’s seventh album to hit the top spot.

However, the record that brought the world “Break My Soul” may have more to it.

Beyoncé has hinted that the record is part of a three-part series; in a June 28, 2022 announcement she called it “Act I.”

Since the album’s release, it has undergone a few transformations.

According to Pitchfork, Beyoncé “replaced ableist lyrics in “ Heated ,” and  removed  an interpolation of  Kelis ’ “Milkshake” on “Energy” after Kelis said  she was not informed  by Beyoncé and her team that her music was going to be used on the new album.”

She also reportedly dropped  Honey Dijon  and  Madonna  remixes of “Break My Soul.”

Beyoncé Grammys

Beyonce’s seventh studio album “Renaissance,” netted nine Grammy nominations for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Dance/Electronic Recording, Best Dance/Electronic Album, Best R&B Performance, Best Traditional R&B Performance, Best R&B Song and Best Song Written For Visual Media.

The nine nominations tie Beyonce with her husband Jay Z for most all-time Grammy nominations with 88 apiece.

Huge concert tours in 2023

While a Beyoncé tour announcement may trump all others in terms of hype, there quite a few exciting tours to look out for in the next few months.

Here are just five of our favorite, can’t miss concerts that may be coming to a city near you soon.

•  Taylor Swift

•  Madonna

•  Adele

•  Janet Jackson

Why some major artists are suddenly canceling shows, and in some cases entire tours

A series of tour cancellations and changes by big-name artists has sparked questions about whether the post-pandemic live music boom could be cooling, as consumer spending fatigue meets elevated ticket prices.

On Friday, Jennifer Lopez announced she was canceling her 2024 tour , citing a desire to spend more time with her family. Meanwhile, the Black Keys announced they were abandoning a stadium tour in favor of a series of shows at smaller venues.

Both tours had recently become the subject of social media fodder, namely screenshots showing empty venues at select tour dates. (NBC News could could not directly verify their authenticity.)

Silhouettes of people enjoying a concert

Indeed, some of the evidence of a slowdown is anecdotal. SeatGeek said in an email that the average resale ticket price to attend a summer concert is down to $213 from $257 around this time last year. The company suggested some of the decline could be attributed to the absence of megatours on par with Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” and Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” outings last year.

For artists whose popularity has crescendoed, there appears to be plenty of demand — and high prices. The average resale price for Olivia Rodrigo’s “Guts” tour is $571, and the next-highest is $409 to see Morgan Wallen, according to SeatGeek data first reported by Axios .

Many of those tours are being sold through Ticketmaster and its parent Live Nation. And prior to facing landmark accusations that it is a monopoly , a claim it denies, Live Nation reported its biggest first quarter ever, with $3.8 billion in revenues. Its concerts business alone was up 26% to $2.9 billion, while “estimated fans” globally were up more than 20%, and up 42% in North America.

Yet official government data points to the makings of a return to a more normal pace for live music event sales after a post-pandemic boom. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported last month that movie and concert admissions prices climbed just 3.4% year over year through April, the lowest reading since 2021 and the second-consecutive month showing a slowdown.

Dave Clark, editor of Ticket News, which tracks the live entertainment industry, said the period of explosive live music growth following pandemic reopenings may in hindsight be seen as an aberration: People were simply more eager — and more financially able — to go to as many shows as they could after months cooped up indoors.

This year, Clark said, a reckoning may be emerging.

“The days where there was enough demand to sell out arenas at top dollar just isn’t there in this live events economy — outside of people like Taylor Swift who can sell whatever they want wherever they want,” he said.

At a time when many consumers are struggling to pay for basic necessities, he said, “people are seeing some of the prices they’re asking and just saying, ‘Hard pass.’”

Another factor may be a supply issue, Clark added: too many acts trying to tour at once, or too many times. In the pre-streaming era, bands would go on tour as a way of marketing an album. These days, he said, it’s reversed, since the returns on recorded music have shrunk dramatically.

“Now they’re making records to sell the tour,” he said. “That paradigm has a lot to do with it. It’s just a very overloaded market.”

The Black Keys did just release a new album, and its debut single hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart in March.

Still, the rock duo announced it would cancel and reschedule its summer touring plans, switching from arenas to other venues that provide a more “intimate experience,” according to the band. The new dates have not yet been announced.

The Black Keys aren’t the only group that may be falling victim to costly concert fatigue.

Pop-rock band 311 announced it had canceled upcoming European tour dates due to the “rising costs of touring overseas,” which made completing certain portions of the tour “unfeasible.”

Other stars including Pink and Justin Timberlake have also recently canceled specific show dates, while the Jonas Brothers recently postponed their upcoming European tour , though none officially cited financial concerns as reasons for doing so.

“I think with all that competition for fan dollars, it was obviously natural that some artists were going to lose,” said Bill Werde, director of the Syracuse University Bandier Program for Recording and Entertainment Industries.

There are still plenty of large-scale tours planned for this summer that, so far, appear to be unaffected by flagging demand. Hootie & the Blowfish have 48 dates booked this year, while Dave Matthews Band is slated for 34. Other top acts hitting the road include Maroon 5, Zac Brown Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kenny Chesney and Chris Stapleton.

But experts say recent economic trends in the live-music industry, especially the type of consolidation the Justice Department is now targeting, have translated into fewer smaller-sized venues.

That’s made it more difficult for a given tour date to make financial sense for the artist, venue and promoter.

“Some shows, they can’t afford to drop prices; they can’t afford to wait to try to sell out the rest of the building,” Clark said.

If there is uncertainty about all stakeholders being able to at least break even, he said, the show might get canceled.

Such realities have collided with a more circumspect concertgoer. Brittney D’Mello, a 23-year-old K-pop fan from New Jersey who works in corporate marketing, posted to X about her frustrations with the current touring landscape.

“The tickets are too expensive,” D’Mello said. “There’s only a SMALL amount of people (10%) that will spend $500+ on vip/floor/premium,” she said. “The rest of us have budgets and won’t spend $100 on nosebleeds,” she said, referring to seats that are typically the farthest away from the stage.

“Everyone is touring this year … and we only have money for 2-3 concerts MAX,” she added.

In a follow-up interview with NBC News, D’Mello said she simply decided to cap her concert budget.

“I will only go see two artists that are my tried-and-true favorite artists,” she said. “But I won’t be casually going to concerts anymore. And after going to concerts twice, I think that’s where I stop.”

It Should Not Cost This Much To Go To a Concert

By Kayleigh Donaldson | Music | May 30, 2024 |

The Black Keys recently quietly announced that they would be canceling their planned North American tour. They followed up that revelation with news of their plans to ‘make some changes’ to the tour ‘that will enable us to offer a similarly exciting, intimate experience for both fans and the band, and will be announcing a revised set of dates shortly.’ What that means is that they’re downsizing because their ticket sales were low. While the Black Keys are a known entity and have a decent-sized fanbase, it wasn’t enough to justify a full arena tour. As folks on Twitter showed, they were left with vast swaths of empty seats before pulling the plug. Starting tickets in the nosebleeds were about $100. One wonders how the band and their management tried to justify that given that their biggest album came out in 2011. Certainly, even their core demographics seemed hesitant to put that kind of money down for the privilege of seeing them live.

It’s not just the Black Keys, of course. Going to concerts has become a prohibitively expensive hobby, one where even the cheapest options would have been seen as the luxury option only a few years ago. Taylor Swift tickets for the European leg of her Eras tour are averaging around $340 a go according to Billboard , and that’s about 87% cheaper than American costs, with people reporting paying upwards of $2,000 for one ticket. Bruce Springsteen’s most recent tour had fans furious thanks to Ticketmaster’s ‘dynamic pricing’ pushing numbers up to $5k. Beyoncé came under fire for selling $157 ‘listening only’ tickets to the Renaissance tour that offered no view of the actual stage.

Over the past couple of years, we’ve seen a handful of world tours become major cultural touchstones: Beyonce’s Renaissance, Taylor Swift’s Eras, and Madonna’s Celebration. In the aftermath of the COVID-19 lockdown, there was a sense of celebration with these big acts returning to the stage, bigger and better than ever. The first two performers, in particular, were such big deals that they made grand impacts on the world economy. These events were such necessities to many that money didn’t matter. It became all too common to see fans on social media showing off how they paid more than someone else for their ticket. Call me a cynic but I don’t think this should be the norm. Being a fan isn’t something one should be able to be priced out of.

I especially resent the ways in which certain fans act as though being priced out of participation is a symbol of their idol’s power. It’s really rather tragic to see people online talk about how tickets are the same price as a couple of months’ rent and then be met with replies shaming them for being poor. Obscene greed is not a bragging point for yourself or for the musicians whose management thinks you’re unworthy of respect.

The system has drastically changed over the past decade. Streaming has decimated the musical middle class and shredded the entire economic model that laid the foundations for decades of performers. As noted by Cosmopolitan , ‘streaming services such as Spotify pay artists an estimated £0.0031 per stream, meaning they would need roughly 3,000 streams on a track just to make one hour of minimum wage.’ Tours were designed largely to promote the new album. Now, it feels as though the tours are the biggest money maker, so they have to pull out all the stops. The worst seats in the house are three figures. The merch is pricier than ever. Ticketmaster’s fees are near-parodic. And none of that takes into consideration the basic logistics, like parking or booking a hotel.

Live Nation’s stranglehold has seen costs increase exponentially thanks to their transparent bullsh*tting and dodgy practices. In 2019 , they admitted to keeping tens of thousands of tickets for a Metallica tour from being sold at face value by putting them directly on resale sites. Ticketmaster’s supposed attempts to quash the power of scalpers with their resale system are just the same exploitation with a new lick of paint. The scalping market has grown far more sophisticated than even Live Nation can keep up with.

Ticketmaster may finally face repercussions for its long-documented history of price gouging and monopolistic cruelty over the entire industry. The US Department of Justice is suing them and seeking a break-up of the monopoly. Merrick Garland, the US attorney general, said , ‘Live Nation relies on unlawful, anticompetitive conduct to exercise its monopolistic control over the live events industry in the United States at the cost of fans, artists, smaller promoters, and venue operators.’

The damage, however, is done, and not just for fans either. Post-lockdown, touring costs have spiralled for even established acts, and any musician or band that isn’t a record-breaking mega-act has had to seriously tighten their belts. Swift might be pulling in $1bn in revenue from those exorbitant ticket prices, but musicians playing smaller venues without the safety net of money or record company support are barely making a living. According to a recent piece in the Guardian , ‘playing life is becoming financially unsustainable for many artists.’ Lily Fontaine, lead singer of the acclaimed indie band English Teacher, admitted that ‘it’s normal for all of these achievements’ like being on TV and getting five-star reviews, ‘to coexist alongside being on Universal Credit, living at home or sofa surfing.’

So, we have the vast majority of musicians, including many bands you love, left in the red after even a successful tour. It’s pushing out working-class performers on top of everything else. Brexit has also massively impacted British performers’ ability to tour in Europe, which cuts off a vast portion of their revenue. The conundrum is evident: you’re not big enough to charge prices that help you make a living but you also don’t want to exclude your fans; you need to tour to live but the industry has no desire to bolster you or create a sustainable system that will maintain acts like you in the long-term. Either you’re the Eras Tour or you’re sleeping on your friend’s couch to save a few quid to pay for the 300-person hall.

Fixing this system will require far more than the breakup of Ticketmaster (although we heartily welcome that because f*ck Ticketmaster.) More effective legislation against scalpers needs to be passed. There also needs to be more financial support for the culture sectors at large, with greater investment in venues and performers so that being a musician is a payable lifestyle open to more than the mega-rich. Frankly, we also need calls for change from those megastars who play the role of wide-eyed ignorance when their tickets sell for eye-watering prices and they act as though their involvement in this problem is minimal. If The Cure can force Ticketmaster to play it fair, so can the current chart toppers.

Live music is a joy that everyone should have access to, whether it’s your local band at the dive bar or the icon in the stadium. Being a fan is not dependent on the depth of your pockets.

Rolling Stones, Morgan Wallen and more touring in Florida

Concert prices are down this summer from last year's heights, according to new data from SeatGeek.

Why it matters: Pop's biggest names aren't on the circuit this time around.

  • Experts say that last year's prices were likely due to historic demand to see Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.

By the numbers: SeatGeek reports that the average resale ticket price to attend a summer concert is $224, down from $269 around this time last year.

  • That comes alongside an 11% increase in the number of U.S. concerts this summer when compared to last year.

The top 10 artists performing this year, via SeatGeek:

  • Olivia Rodrigo (Performed at Kaseya Center in March).
  • Morgan Wallen ( Panama City Beach , June 2; Tampa July 11 and 12).
  • Zach Bryan ( Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise , July 22).
  • Rolling Stones ( Orlando , June 3).
  • Noah Kahan ( St. Augustine , Sept. 22).
  • George Strait.
  • Luke Combs ( Kississimme , Oct. 20).
  • Chris Stapleton.
  • Justin Timberlake ( Kaseya Center , June 15).

State of play: The list is determined by overall sales on the ticket vendor's platform, as opposed to the average resale ticket price.

  • The average resale price for Rodrigo's tour is $571, and the next highest is $409 to see Wallen.

The big picture: Other notable artists touring this summer include Blink-182 ( Kaseya Center , June 21) Foo Fighters and Billy Joel.

Dutch football association blocks 200 resold tickets for upcoming Oranje friendlies

Dutch football association KNVB has blocked 200 tickets for the two upcoming friendly matches against Iceland and Canada. These tickets were sold via unofficial channels for sums of money that were much higher than the original price. Most of the tickets were sold on resale platform Viagogo. The KNVB also said that more tickets could be blocked for the two fixtures.

The matches will take place in Rotterdam, pitting Oranje against Canada on Thursday and Iceland on Monday. They are the last two matches before the European Championships in Germany this summer.

When purchasing a ticket, every buyer agrees to the KNVB's terms and conditions. One condition is that tickets can only be sold to close acquaintances, specifically family, friends, colleagues, for the original purchasing price.

Offering tickets via other channels, such as social media platforms and websites like Marktplaats or Viagogo, is prohibited. The tickets can then be blocked, and the original seller can be given an 18-month stadium ban and a 450 euro fine.

"People who bought tickets from an unofficial channel and have not received them should contact the organization they bought them from. The money you paid for the blocked tickets should always be refunded by the company you bought them from," the KNVB added.

It is not the first time that the KNVB has blocked tickets for a match. This also happened during the European Championship qualifier matches against France and Ireland in October and November. This concerned around 450 and 300 tickets, respectively.
