Just went into the Cunard website and the Voyage Personaliser has been totally changed! Looks good.

I wish they would switch to a model where you log into the site and then can see all booked itineraries like Princess does. I always have to go retireve my booking number from an email whenever I want to use the personalizer.

Yes that is a good point. It would be easy to link all current bookings under the users name.

BUt I agree that the new personalizer is much more informative than the old.

I was hoping that the personalizer was the reason that the shore excursions for my Christmas cruise hadn't been posted on the old one, but they're not up on the new one yet either.

I just tried it out and my Nov TA is the new look but my xmas QV voyage is still the old look:(

The new site is looking good but not much to look through with a TA so be interesting to see the info when a voyage with ports of call is updated

bluemarble

Thanks for the heads up, but I'm not sure what I'm missing because I'm not seeing much different in the Voyage Personaliser.

There is a nice new login screen for the Voyage Personaliser which now asks for my birth date in addition to my name and booking reference number. I suppose that's a response to security concerns raised by that spreadsheet containing passenger information which was inadvertently released via email a few months ago. And that's a good thing.

But after I get past the login page, everything else looks exactly the same to me. I'm seeing the same format on the pages for entering my voyage details, viewing my travel summary, and viewing and selecting shore excursions.

I previously noticed this announcement from Cunard:

We are on voyage Q223 departing 17 November, 2012 so our shore excursions have been available for viewing for a bit over a month now. It is possible that I am not seeing anything different because our voyage is departing too soon to be included in the Voyage Personaliser improvements? Or have I just missed something obvious?

It is definitely different throughout on my login.

Julie, I just re-read your post where you stated

I just tried it out and my Nov TA is the new look but my xmas QV voyage is still the old look:( ...

So apparently being able to see the new look of the Voyage Personaliser does depend on the particular voyage. Thanks for that.

Whitemarsh

Loving the new voyage personaliser, there's so much more information in there - even the ability to change what size table you'd prefer and the bed formation.

The day by day itinerary guide is really good too.

Sail the seas

Would definitely seem to be the case. For QE on January 6th 2013 I have the new log in screen but the personaliser page is still the old style.
Same for me. Have checked our TA in October, and our Fjord cruise in May 2013, and both look the same as before once you're past the new login screen

I like that they've added pictures and prices for the pre-order gift catalog, but why couldn't they have added online ordering? There is a shopping cart for shore excursions, but you still have t call to order flowers.

Alibabacruisers.

I like the new VP too. Lot more detail...love the picture and info about each port. Can't wait for the shore excursions to show up so I can order those too.

One change from the old system ...I used to be able to enter name and ref number is all lower case with no problem, but with the new VP it has to be case appropriate and all caps for the ref number, and of course the DOB is now required. When I entered it the old way nothing came up and I almost panicked.

Golfwidow100

My husband and I are on the QE 6th Jan 2013 crossing. The booking is in my name and my husband is able to view the new style VP but I just get the new look login screen with the old version of the VP. We are both entering the same info on the login screens with the only difference being that I use a laptop and he uses an iPAD. Can't understand why we aren't seeing the same thing. Must say I was impressed with the new look VP from the brief glimpse I got and am disappointed not to be able to view it when I log in.

Try clearing the cache on your laptop. It is probably the "cookies".

Calliope

I have a feeling that the improvements to the VP might signal the end of the much anticipated Pre-Voyage Documentation. Now all of the information in the hard copy document is online.

Thanks mallorcasaint, I will give this a go.

I am having issues accessing it. Tried clearing the cache etc... But, still says my booking can not be found... Odd.

When I first tried the new VP I got the same message. As I said in previous post, I had to type my name using a capital letter for the first letter in first and last name...then all caps with the confirmation number

(Bxxxxx, Zxxxx, DOB, XXXXXX). I used to, on the old VP, just use all small letters and had no problem.

And I don't know why but EVERY time I go to the new VP I have to enter the info TWICE...the first time it gives the mssage saying booking cannot be found and the second time it comes up.

Give this a try...hope it works for you...that is very frustrating to not see your booking!

The new VP is a lot better.

However we have booked a Guarantee fare for a Feburary 13 embarkation

Category: A4 but since going over to the new VP the guarantee still shows but the A4 has disappeared and now Category is blank.

Will leave it, I am sure it still on Cunards records somewhere. might get a far higher catergory.

Lake Barcroft Sailor

I am on the 20 January Queen Elizabeth voyage from FLL to LA and am with those whose log in screen is the only difference from the old VP. Looking forward, I think, to the new look when and if it appears for me. One thing that I do not like is having to enter all of the information again to log in. In the old system, cookies kept my booking reference and last name. All I had to do was type in my first name and presto, I was in for the details. I can see, though, how the new system is more secure, so perhaps that is worth putting up with a few more key strokes.

Still can't log in... Cleared all that can be cleared and still does not want to have any of it.

I had a problem logging in yesterday and found that if I typed the ref number it would not work but if I cut and pasted the number from my booking confirmation it worked fine.

It is fine on the UK site

Cool Cruiser

I see you're in Oz...might that be the problem? I updated the info in my personalizer for a TA on April 29 just this afternoon with no problems.

Its working in the US, except for the Travel Summary tab, which is malfunctioning still. It gives an error message saying access is not allowed, contact the data Administrator.

Also when I tried to email Cunard, they have a procedure where they email you a link back and you have to click on that in order for your first email to go through. That doesn't work with a click, nor can you paste it into a browser and have it work. I would say their IT department should put in some effort to fix these problems.

I had no problems until a few days ago. I have emailed Cunard about the problem. Thanks everyone. Capn...hope you had a wonderful Panama Cruise..your blog was great..thanks!

boeckli

Which one are you using? According to the person I spoke to at local Cunard office last week, we Aussies are only due to get one next month and that whatever was entered into the pocruises.com one may not stick to local booking s

lannp

I was able to log in today to Cunard.com but I noticed it is completely different. Perhaps that was the problem earlier in the week, they may have been loading the new program.

The first time it was rejected and I know I entered the correct confirmation number. I tried a second time and it worked perfectly.

Voyage Personalizer has been unavailable for this past week...anyone else experiencing this?[/quote         I logged on okay yesterday but the site has changed. (We are in the US.) Some of my personal information had been erased - glad I checked. It also said we would be getting E tickets soon - so I guess we will not be receiving the wallet with our documents via the mail anymore. We are on a crossing in May. Not sure I like the new site - not so informative maybe it is not finished yet.

garigoun

I've just got the email to tell me my eticket is ready but the site won't let me in just keeps apologizing that it's not available.

I've just got the email to tell me my eticket is ready but the site won't let me in just keeps apologizing that it's not available. Gari

I am having the same problem myself???

Well, I won't be needing the information until next fall, but I decided to take a look at the site.

They have some configuration problems - probably a development / test configuration is still in place, so that it works fine for them - it just is broken when a Customer want to use it.

A more fundamental problem is that the site is implemented using Micro$oft tools and technology - that would not be my choice of toolset to use for a commerce site containing sensitive information.

DocLawDog

I had to call Cunard the other day and was told that they were working on the personalizer...I couldn't get it to take alot of my information so the woman entered it over the phone.

Were you ever able to log into your personalizer? I wasn't at any time before our recent Queen Victoria cruise as it would not accept the booking number given to me. So maybe not available to us yet.

I just tried it today and still not working....also still have not received answer from Cunard....will give it a few more days. It makes sense if they are trying to update the Personalizer.

Try this link https://secure.pocruises.com/cp/index.asp?pageID=4&ABTA=V8764&brandCode=CU (was posted on another thread here recently) - works fine for me (but the guy at the Oz Cunard office said info entered may not stick to our bookings and we should get an Oz version soon and be advised when available)

Boeckli...thanks for that site...I've saved it. I also like your QM2 ticker...how did you do it or where? Thanks.

Here is the link to make the actual ticker http://*****/

The rest is done by adding text to an image, then upload to a hosting site (like Webshots, Photobucket or similar) and the URL is then added to the signature just like your ticker.

The Real PM

The Real PM

I am having great difficulty putting information into my Voyage Personalizer. Good lord, it is so very frustrating for someone like me who is computer challenged to begin with. It keeps on saying I need Adobe, so I have uploaded or downloaded or whatever you do to the damn thing numerous times, but it continues to say I need more. I already have one Adobe that came on my computer, I believe--why would I need twenty? But I think I have at least that many now.

You know, I would have hoped if Cunard were going to set up E-tickets that they would have hired help that knows a little more than I do about it, and I really, really know I could do a better job than that!

Sorry Gail, but this made me fall off my chair - you sound like me:eek:.

I think Gari is having problems with his voyage personaliser as well; making the not unreasonable assumption that he is more computer-literate than we are, perhaps waiting a few days may help?

PM. Perhaps the version of Adobe that came with the computer is out of date. If you need to open a PDF file, you need an up to date version. There should be a link for you on the error message. If you down load the most recent version, it will eliminate the older ones for you so you will have only the most recent.

You know Mike, I would agree, but I have just bought a brand new computer. I guess they could have seen me coming and loaded old programs (is that what you call Adobe?) on it. Yes, there is a message that says click here and I do and the whole thing seems to start over again. Perhaps if I understood better what the heck I am doing. But, Cunard should realize that we are not all computer geniuses and they should compensate for those of us who aren't.

PM The current Adobe Reader is version 9. If you don't have that, I suggest you search for Adobe Reader in your search engine. When you find it. Select it. It will give you an option to download. Make sure you have the correct version for your operating system and language, then download and install it. If for some reason the install on your computer when you bought it was installed incorrectly or is corrupted, the download and install will correct this problem.

BettyBoop3850

Hi Got an E-mail from Cunard about my E-ticket with a link. I clicked the link and it took me to my personaliser. I clicked E-ticket but all I got was we will notify you. Plus can't access travel summary or extra luggage tags not authorized to view page.

Thank you MIke. I got one of those little messages that you sometimes get on your computer down on the right hand lower part of the screen and it said something about an Adobe update. So I clicked on it and I think I have a new one. Hopefully, it will work when I get my courage up enough to check back in on the Personalizer. Thank you for your help.

Jour 1 : Tenerife
