Frequently Asked Questions About Ireland

You can also find more detailed answers and travel tips in our Ireland Travel Guide . Or, if you want to know more about booking and payment details, check out our FAQ page .
1. What is Ireland known for?
The Emerald Isle is known world-wide thanks to its beauty, culture and history. People around the globe celebrate St Patrick’s Day, listen to Irish music, drink Guinness beer and read Irish literature. Let’s not forget about its natural beauty, stunning coastlines and mystical castles.
Read more cool things about Ireland on our experts' blog.
2. What's the weather like in Ireland?
The weather conditions in Ireland can change quickly and often in all regions of the country. Although the climate isn’t extreme, the locals are fond of saying that you can experience all four seasons in a day. Make sure to dress the part and nothing will stop you from enjoying your trip!
3. How many castles are in Ireland?
From grand historic castles to atmospheric ruins, there are castles dotted all over Ireland. Estimated at over 30,000 there are too many to visit during your tour. For this reason, we’ve compiled our 15 favourite Irish castles in this blog so you can decide which ones you want to see.
4. What language is spoken in Ireland?
English and Irish (Gaelic) are the two main languages of the Republic of Ireland. However, the Gaelic-speaking Irish are bilingual, so you won’t need a language book. You may encounter some signs in Gaelic throughout your tour, but you can check out our wee guide to learn more .
5. What currency is used in Ireland?
The Republic of Ireland is part of the European Union and uses the Euro (€, EUR) as currency. In Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom, the currency is the Pound sterling (£, GBP). Find out more in our guide about Ireland’s currency and money .
6. Is Ireland a safe place?
Ireland is a very safe place to visit! It has recently been ranked amongst the 15 safest countries in the world. As in other European countries, pickpocketing and petty theft can occasionally occur in cities, but the risk of encountering crime in the rural areas is very low.
7. What is the capital of Ireland?
Dublin is the capital of the Republic of Ireland and Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland. All our Ireland tours start from Dublin. If you fly into a different Irish city, get in touch so we can book you a private transfer to Dublin or customise your tour to start from a different location.
8. Do you need a visa to go to Ireland?
EU or EEA citizens, as well as those carrying passports from the UK, Switzerland, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, do not need visas for short-term travel in Ireland. If you are visiting from another country, please check the Irish Government website to see if you need a visa and how to apply.
9. Can I choose my arrival date?
Yes, you can. Our Ireland tours can start on any day between April and October. When you’ve picked your favourite package and you’re ready to book, simply pick a date in the calendar that suits you best. Your personal travel consultant will then get in touch to confirm your details.
10. When should I book my flights?
We recommend that you do not organise flights until we have confirmed your package. Once you book your tour with us, one of our travel agents will contact you within two working days with more details about your arrangements. You can then book your flights with the confirmed start date of your tour.
11. What is there to do in Ireland?
There is much to explore in Ireland. We believe one of our adventures tours of Ireland will allow you to see the Emerald Isle at its best and enjoy its highlights.
Some must-do activities in Ireland include:
- Discovering the capital, Dublin , from where you can take day trips to nearby attractions.
- Walking along the impressive Cliffs of Moher .
- Driving the Wild Atlantic Way to see the stunning coastline.
- Tasting the Irish flavour with some local food, whiskey and beer.
- Heading to Northern Ireland to visit Belfast and the Giant’s Causeway .
- Exploring the gems and villages along the Ring of Kerry .
- Learning about your Irish heritage.
You can read about some of our favourite places in Ireland here .
12. Can you see the northern lights in Ireland?
While it is technically possible to sometimes see the northern lights from Ireland (especially in County Donegal, thanks to its northerly location and lack of light pollution), it’s not the ideal location to do so.
Why not head inside the Arctic Circle instead? You have a higher chance to spot the northern lights in Iceland or see them during an aurora safari in northern Norway .
13. How much can I customise my tour?
When creating packages, our tour operators aim to show our visitors the very best of Ireland. But we understand everyone’s dreams are different. Should there be anything in particular you’re keen to see, or if you want to stay longer to explore more of Ireland, simply get in touch so we can help arrange it all for you.
14. When is the best time to visit Ireland?
For the best weather and longer daylight hours, we recommend visiting between April and October. At this time, attractions also have longer opening hours meaning you can make the most of your tour! Read more about the best time to visit Ireland depending on your interests .
15. What should I pack for my trip?
The Irish weather can be variable and unpredictable, even between April and October. Regardless of the weather, this is what we recommend packing for your trip to Ireland:
- Light and waterproof layers, including a rain jacket
- Light gloves
- Your camera!
- Binoculars for wildlife and bird watchers
- A pair of walking shoes (or boots) if you intend on going for coastal walks
Read more in our packing guide .
16. How do you get from Ireland to Scotland?
While Ireland is an island, you can easily drive or take a bus to Northern Ireland (which is part of the UK). From there, you can hop on the ferry to the south of Scotland. For the best of both, visit Scotland and Ireland in one tour. Plan your ideal trip to the Celtic nations with this handy guide .
17. What does craic mean in Ireland?
When you visit Ireland, you may hear the word ‘craic’ (pronounced crack) or the expression ‘What’s the craic?’ from the locals. It’s a popular Irish word meaning ‘enjoyable time’. It can also mean fun and entertainment.

Overland Ireland - Small Gr…

Good times. Nice experience. Little intense.
Our guide, Cathal, was excellent. He is personable, caring about all guests experience and full of facts about history. He’s definitely an asset to your company. My only critiques are these: 1. Bus door malfunctioned multiple times daily by not opening or closing. The potential for injury/death in the event of an auto accident was very real. 2. The microphone did not work so we had a week’s ride without an ongoing commentary of what we were seeing in real time. That defeats the purpose of a tour rather than driving oneself. Cathal indicated that he reported it to the company and someone was supposed to come check the bus after our first day but no one ever came to repair it. 3. Air conditioning did not always work.

Highlights galore and more!
Allie was such a rockstar tour guide! She has such a depth of experience and passion for her homeland that she is infectious!! I have never had such a deep learning experience, and I have traveled a fair bit! But really, Ireland sells itself!
- Excellent - 5,558 reviews for Ireland tours
The guide were very good at getting us to events tour and making the trip as smooth as possible
Really wish they spelled out that the Ireland trip is just a portion of a larger trip - most of the people have already travelled together for two weeks, so that was kinda awkward. Great trip for 18-24 year old Australians.
Rabbie’s Small Group Tours
- Excellent - 254 reviews for Ireland tours
Overall a good experience. The guide was informative and shared a lot about Ireland history and the sights we went to. The sound on the bus wasn't great-he had a mic on a rod and so if he moved his head you couldn't hear very well. We had another Rabie's trip and the driver had a mic 'head-band' type thing that was MUCH MUCH better.
Dan was an amazing tour guide! He is very knowledgeable and thoughtful and well organized. He made everyone feel comfortable and included and even treated us to a drink! My tour was very enjoyable and I got to see everything I wanted to and more. I would definitely book again.

Loved Derment and he tried very hard to help people . Great personality . Good driver - organised our Group chat which bonded us well - a few accoms I think below the standard - please can we ask host to supply a top sheet not just quilt as it was too hot and little air in most rooms . Anne was so brilliant on our day with her and David a delight .David great driver too. Lovely meeting you Mick and appreciate your interest in our response -
On time fabulous driver and guide. Very good accommodation. We were very well informed and looked after.

We felt Lee Jones was beyond exceptional as our tour guide. He was kind, cheery, helpful, knowledgeable, punctual, and was a sheer joy to have as a guide to our little "family" outing! I would trust him to make the best of any situation encountered on a tour to deliver you the best travel experience! I would go out of my way to book a tour with him again!! He is worth his weight in gold - Irish lucky gold!
A very enjoyable tour. Anthony was a great guide, very knowledgeable and had a lot of stories to tell. I would have liked to had a couple more group dinners

Had to call Globus three times before trip to get the final travel packet. Each time I called ,was told that someone would take care of this. Bus driver Glenn and tour guide Clive were great. Mic on bus kept cutting out and the people in the back of the bus could not hear. Would have like to have spent a day in Belfast and seen the Titanic museum ,All that Belfast was just a bathroom break and all I saw of Belfast was the washroom inside City Hall. If we had spent a day in Belfast I, wouldn't been so tried by the time we got to Scotland. Also would have like to have another in York. When we returned to London, somewhere from the time the bus arrived at the hotel till they unloaded the bags and put them on the luggage cart and bought them to the room, the porter broke my bag and the wheel came off. When I reported this to the hotel was told " these things happen", too bad, so sad " have your insurance company buy you a new bag". I had to try to get back home with a big with three wheel.
More time in Belfast

Good trip and very interested on the site visited
The tour was more geared towards Spanish speakers. At the beginning of the tour we definitely felt like we missed out on a lot of information. The Spanish speaker would talk for 5-10 minutes and then the English speaker would say ‘she said that’s a celebrity house’ or whatever we had already passed 5-10 minutes ago and nothing more. Ireland was better with the lady going between the two languages. The hotels they booked were so far from the city that we had to walk miles just to find a bar. Edinburgh was probably the coolest city but they only gave us 2 hours and drove us 20 minutes from the city to our hotel. There wasn’t enough time to go back by ourselves. In Galway they only gave us two hours and we had to choose between eating dinner or walking around. Especially because we knew the hotel wasn’t around anything so it was eat something local or get stuck eating expensive hotel food. Lastly the tour guides were not local. They could not answer questions or give anymore information than the script they read from. As for a positive of the trip, it was fast paced and we were able to see a lot of amazing things.
Insight Vacations
- Excellent - 639 reviews for Ireland tours
Our tour of the United Kingdom proved to be the best way to spend a vacation. It was both entertaining and educational. Our experiences will always be fondly remembered forever.
My first Insight Tour and it was amazing. Scenic tour of the beautiful countryside, towns, and historic sites of England, Scotland, Wales, and Republic of Ireland. Our Travel Director, Greg, was very professional, knowledgeable of the history, culture, food, music, and local 'celebrities'. Greg and our driver (Arthur - the best) worked together as a team, making our trip enjoyable, memorable, and fun. Always courteous, respectful, and conscientious of our time, safety, and well-being. Good job!
Royal Irish Tours
- Excellent - 22 reviews for Ireland tours
We had an amazing experience travelling Ireland. Our tour guides were very entertaining and helpful, and our fellow travellers were lots of fun to hang out with. We saw so much, but would love to back again and see even more. RIT picked experiences that really helped us understand Irish history and culture so much better than before. It is a truly stunning county visually, and people there so fun and helpful.
Starting with our tour driver's, Rob and John, they were a major part of the success of this tour. Friendly, knowledgeable and kind, both men made each part of the journey relaxed, safe and enjoyable. The destinations of our tour were perfect...from historic sites to natural beauty spots, everything was well chosen and well-organized for us. The fun spots along the way, distilleries, pubs, Celtic shows, sheepdog displays and walking tours, were wonderful showcasing Ireland. Thank you for making it all easy, fun and rewarding.

Indus Travels
- Excellent - 258 reviews for Ireland tours
The communication/paperwork could use a little fine tuning, but overall the value was definitely there. This tour brings you through absolutely spectacular areas of Ireland, with enough downtime to not feel too rushed. The hotels/food was nicer than we expected for the price.
Just finished this great tour of Ireland with Indus Travel. Eddie, the tour bus driver, and Marian, our tour guide, were amazing. Great info about the areas we traveled, history and local stories.

Individual Ireland vacations shaped around your passions
- Dingle Peninsula
Renowned for its warm welcome, literary genius, live music and green fields, Ireland is a small isle with enormous character. It's compact enough to explore easily, yet also incredibly diverse. Our Ireland specialists have a deep affinity with the island — north and south — and can bring you closer to the landscapes and the Irish people even at its most famous attractions such as Giant's Causeway.
Our Ireland specialists know the country inside out and can lead you to experiences you won’t find in a guidebook. On a tailor-made vacation to Ireland with Audley, you’ll see the highlights — and much more — your way. We’ll design your ideal trip with you, paying close attention to your interests, your travel style and your budget.
Try kayaking to romantic ruins on the Lakes of Killarney , take a literary pub crawl around Dublin or gain an introduction to Northern Ireland’s political history on a black taxi tour of Belfast. We also recommend getting well off the beaten path in places like the little-visited Beara Peninsula or along the stone-walled roads of the island of Inis Mór. Wherever you go, you'll be welcomed with that legendary Irish charm, regaled with stories and persuaded that the only way to do this place justice would be to plan a return visit.

Useful information for planning your vacation in Ireland
Ireland has two official languages English and Irish. Irish is a Celtic language related to Scots Gaelic, Welsh, and Breton, and is predominantly spoken in Gaeltacht areas in the west of Ireland but you’ll see it on road signs and all official documentation.
In the Republic of Ireland, which covers roughly five-sixths of the island of Ireland, the currency is the euro (€), while In Northern Ireland, which is a part of the United Kingdom, the currency is the pound sterling (GBP).
ATMs are easy to find, all major credit and debit cards are accepted, and contactless payments are accepted almost everywhere. Euros can be used across Europe, but Northern Ireland notes, which are different to those used elsewhere in the UK, are often unfamiliar to retailers outside Ireland and it may be best to exchange those in a bank or post office.
A standard tip in Ireland is between 10% and 15% for a restaurant meal. Check the total though — a gratuity is often added automatically. Tipping in pubs and bars is not expected. Drivers, guides, and hotel staff will appreciate a tip, but it isn’t always expected.
For the latest travel advice for Ireland, including entry requirements, health information, and the safety and security situation, please refer to the State Department website .
Food and drink is a huge part of Irish culture and in recent years the focus has been on locally sourced and seasonal produce, artisan food stuffs, and distinctive regional products.
Being an island nation, fish and seafood is plentiful. You’ll find delicate smoked salmon, creamy chowders, and fresh oysters and mussels along the coast. Although traditional dishes such as Irish stew, colcannon (mashed potato with cabbage and scallions) and boxty (fried grated potato) still appear on some menus, you’re more likely to encounter pan-European influences in most dishes.
Traditional Irish soda bread remains a local staple and you’ll find it in all shops and on most breakfast plates. Although Guinness, Ireland’s rich, full-bodied stout, is served everywhere, in Cork, order a pint of Beamish, a locally brewed rival with a more substantial bite. Whiskey distilleries are long established in Ireland, but craft beer and cider are also gaining ground.
A small island with a rich history and culture, dramatic landscapes, and a fair bit of rain, Ireland provides a wealth of experiences for the visitor. You could follow in the footsteps of literary heavyweights such as Joyce, Wilde, or Beckett on a literary pub crawl in Dublin, delve into prehistory on a guided tour of the Neolithic passage graves in Newgrange and the Boyne Valley , or discover the wonders of the Giant’s Causeway and the Antrim Coast .
Romantic castle ruins, wild national parks, and stone-walled fields litter the country, and whether you’d enjoy visiting cheesemongers and chocolatiers on a Dublin food tour , sipping peaty spirits at the Jameson Distillery , or exploring the Cliffs of Moher by boat , Ireland offers plenty of choice.
The choice of places to stay in Ireland is as varied as the landscape. You can stay in historic castles decorated in opulent traditional style, fishing lodges nestled in secluded valleys, or urban hideaways with sleek, contemporary design. The Irish are renowned for their hospitality, and whether you choose to stay in a family-run guesthouse or a plush, urban hotel, you’ll find a special welcome waiting.
In Belfast, history and grandeur combine in the Merchant Hotel . In Kilkenny, you can stay in stately Butler House, former home of the Earls of Ormonde, while on the shores of Lough Erne, you can stargaze in a dome as you fall asleep to the sound of the water. To get some ideas, browse our collection of places to stay in Ireland , and start planning your trip.
Most trips to Ireland begin in Dublin, the Republic’s capital. It’s a beguiling place where political and literary history collide, and local life never takes itself too seriously. From Dublin , you can head west to see the wild, raw beauty of Connemara , the otherworldly landscape of the Burren , or to join an impromptu traditional music session in Galway , Westport, or Doolin.
Discover Donegal’s deserted beaches or hike along the towering cliffs at Slieve League , visit the Dark Hedges that featured in the Game of Thrones , Belfast’s poignant Titanic Museum , or learn about the city’s troubled past on a black cab tour .
To the south, Cork has a character so strong its people joke about it becoming their own republic, Killarney sits at the foot of the country’s highest peaks, and Dingle is all windswept beaches and pubs that have changed little with the passage of time.
A direct flight to Dublin from New York City takes just over six and a half hours. From Boston it’s six hours, from Seattle nine hours, and from San Francisco, it’s ten hours. Aer Lingus, Ireland’s national carrier, is the only airline offering direct flights to the west coast, although some routes only operate during the summer months.
The time zone in Ireland is UTC+1 hour. Daylight Savings Time is observed from late-March to late-October.
Self driving in Ireland is easy and efficient and is one of the best ways to get around. You’ll need to be comfortable driving on the left, however. Trains are modern and reliable, but the rail network is a little limited and if you choose to travel by train, you’re likely to need to use buses or taxis as well. We can also arrange private drivers to take you directly to your destination.
There’s no border control between the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland and if you’re driving, the only difference you might notice is a subtle change in the road signs and markings.
US citizens do not need a visa to visit Ireland for stays of up to 90 days.
Your doctor can provide you with immunization advice for Ireland. You can also check the recommended vaccinations by visiting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website . Ensuring you’re up to date with all vaccinations recommended at home before you travel is also a good idea.
You'll need at least one blank page in your passport, which should be valid for at least the duration of your stay, or at least six months after your travel dates if you are traveling onwards to a continental European country.

I have so much to say. We had an amazing trip! All the tours Zicasso’s travel agent arranged for us were wonderful and the travel went off seamlessly. I would also like to highlight a few of the people/guides who were exceptional and truly stood out above the crowd. First, the chef in Venice was absolutely amazing. He knew about every fish at the market and went above and beyond to make sure we were able to prepare the fish in multiple ways to get a feel for the food true Venetians eat. He also took us through the vegetable stands and gave us the opportunity to choose the items we would like to complement our seafood. I expected to have the opportunity to cook two dishes, but we cooked at least six. He was so excited that we chose sardines (one of three seafoods we were allowed to choose) that he helped us to prepare them in two ways so we could experience multiple traditional cooking methods for this seafood. When we walked out of his apartment, my husband looked at me and said, "That was the most amazing experience I've ever had". That may not seem like much, but I promise you it is. My husband is not a man to hand out compliments. Second, our tour guide with a PhD for two days in Rome. He was there to guide us through the history of the monuments, which he did so eloquently, but did so much more than that. I learned more about history, tapestries, sculptures, paintings, mosaics, stone, tile, architecture, and art/artists in general from him than I did in both of my college degrees combined. He made the monuments, artwork, and architecture come to life in a way I never imagined. I walked away from Rome with not only a new appreciation for its history, but feeling like I had been accepted by the city as one of its own. Third, our guide in Santorini – she touched my heart. She first took us for a wine tasting in a small village. We had a tour of the facility, including the history of the area, the architectural style, a walk through the fields, and a tutorial on how the grape vines are trained to withstand the wind. She also explained the wine-making process (showing us the caves where the grapes were once smashed by walking on them, etc) and so much more. But the best was yet to come. Next, we went to a tomato farm/factory and saw how they sun-dry the tomatoes. Then we cooked with our guide and the son of the gentleman who owned the farm. This was one of the most memorable experiences. Our agent even made a special trip back into town the next day to send us off with some goodies (some of the products they produce). I learned about her two boys and how she's torn between encouraging them to continue the family heritage or move on to other things to ensure they have successful careers. It is exactly the same for me as a mother, the only difference being that her heritage is artisanal agriculture and mine is commercial fishing. Both vocations require extremely hard work and long days dedicated to industries that are slowly disappearing. However, it's the heritage that has been handed down from generation to generation that creates the strongest bonds to family and the earth, so much so that it can fulfill a life in ways money never will. I met a kindred spirit and gained a friend for life. I hope she will continue to give her tour and touch others the way she did us because for every person who is able to gain an understanding and appreciation for what it means to work the land or the sea with their own hands, the world becomes a better place. Fourth, our commercial fishing trip in Santorini. This was breathtaking. We were able to glimpse the tradition of plying the seas in this part of the world with a true commercial fisherman and his crew. The boat, with its beautiful lines, bright colors, and earthy wood, was a work of art. The captain and crew were truly salt of the earth and so open to letting us be a part of every step of the process. They explained the type of commercial fishing they engaged in that day and all the other fishing they operate in. Even the name of the boat was memorable as it was named after the captain's daughter, who I saw pictures of. The captain even gave me one of the otoliths (the earbone of the fish, which is extremely important scientifically as it is used to determine the age of a fish) he collects. The crew went through all the different species of fish we caught, then cooked an amazing meal of fresh seafood (prepared in multiple ways), salads, and veggies on board the boat. For those not into net fishing, we also used fishing poles to trawl and did some handline fishing. I would recommend this type of fishing trip to anyone wanting to experience the true art of heritage fishing.

The trip was wonderful and the support from the travel agency was unstinting. From the first day, they were quickly responsive and continually exceeded our expectations. We had no hiccups along the way, so we didn't need to call on them during the trip, but I am confident they would have sorted any issue that arose. Their reputation was reinforced by our guide in Bath, who said they were a great company to work with and emphasized that anybody who "picked up the phone" would provide the high level of service we'd experienced.

Zicasso's travel partner did an outstanding job co-ordinating and organizing our trip to Ireland. Everything went smoothly from the moment we landed. Our experience checking into hotels, taking our planned tours, getting our rental car, and getting back to Dublin for the flight home went exactly as planned. Our agent was very attentive, thorough, and responsive during the trip-planning phase and her follow-up was fantastic. Her suggestions were spot on too. All of the hotels we stayed in were lovely, the food delicious, and the service excellent. We highly recommend our operator. Our trip to Ireland was magical.

Our anniversary trip to Scotland and Ireland, planned by Zicasso’s travel company, was unforgettable! Our travel agent was very easy to work with! She made several adjustments to our itinerary at our request and also to address some of the vendor's changes, such as one of our flights (originally from Inverness to Dublin) and one of our "in a local home, dinner and cooking lessons" (originally in Scotland). She was cognizant of my budget constraints and suggested I do some of the driving myself to reduce the cost of private drivers. Then, during our trip, little things like a wine and cheese board in our room upon our arrival in Edinburgh were very much appreciated! Also, when things didn't go as planned (flight delay from Aberdeen to Dublin), she was available (at 2am Pacific time) to help smooth out the bumps! Even the way our trip itinerary built up to a subtle crescendo with our stay in a castle made this a trip we will never forget!

My sister and I had a wonderful trip! We used Zicasso's travel agent to plan it. From the beginning, all our questions were answered and they offered suggestions along the way. Everything was planned out for us, including private and small group tours. Transportation, if needed, was all arranged. Directions and maps were provided, if needed, along with any tickets for trains and tours. All our hotels were conveniently located and we were within walking distance from restaurants, shops, and metro systems. We really appreciated that. I highly recommend this travel company and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. I can’t thank them enough for planning our trip, which has provided so many lasting and priceless memories!

Our trip was planned to the tee. The Zicasso travel agency did a tremendous job making sure we had a completed itinerary, confirmation numbers, names and phone numbers for drivers, and tickets for activities. They listened to our interests and planned a fabulous trip to meet our needs. Everything was taken care of. When we encountered issues along the way (like our first hotel claiming it hadn't been prepaid), the team took care of everything at a moment's notice. We couldn't have been happier with the communication.

UK travel agent sets sights on Northern Ireland growth
O ne of the UK’s largest travel agency groups, Barrhead Travel , has confirmed it will expand its presence in Northern Ireland, creating at least five new jobs in the retail travel market.
The Glasgow-headquartered travel agency group first opened in Northern Ireland in 2017, when they unveiled a flagship store in Victoria Square Shopping Centre. In 2022, the group also expanded its operations by launching a remote team of Northern Irish travel agents.
Barrhead Travel says it intends to firstly recruit its new team and then work with them to identify the right high street location to open. Five full-time positions will be created as well as opportunities for young people to join via its Modern Apprentice programme.
Last year, the group reported its highest ever year of sales as people returned to reputable high street travel agents in search of advice, financial protection, and value-for-money.

Jacqueline Dobson, president of Barrhead Travel, said: “We’re so excited to be expanding in Northern Ireland, a place that’s been a fantastic home for us since 2017.
“We see great opportunities for an agent like Barrhead Travel to grow the high street market here. The communities we operate in have been incredibly supportive; we know there’s growing demand for genuine travel experts as well as continuous demand for holidays in general.
“Barrhead Travel is a people-first business – which is why it is important for us to identify the right people for our next location. Ultimately, it’s the local people who know the market better than anyone else, and we’ll therefore be recruiting first and then working with the team to secure the perfect unit on the right high street.
“We’re looking for people who are extremely passionate about travel and customer service, but who also love working with their local communities.
“As well as investing in bricks and mortar here in Northern Ireland, we’ll continue to invest in local talent through our industry-leading training and development programmes.”
Barrhead Travel’s recruitment drive in Northern Ireland will create an initial five full-time positions. The new store will bring the group’s retail footprint to 90 locations throughout the UK.
