Mountain pasture Tarscher Alm
Why? Well, many cable cars and chair lifts bring wanderers to the hiking areas in Vinschgau. For example the chairlift to the Tarscher Alm mountain pasture. This mountain pasture is situated in the holiday region Latsch -Martell in Vinschgau at 1,970 m above sea level and it is reachable by using the chair lift. There hikers find a wonderful Inn with good cuisine, a big meadow where children can play all day long and a lot of hiking possibilities to explore the surroundings.
Hiking tour Tarscher Alm Jochwaal
From the mountain pasture Tarscher Alm follow path 1 to Zirmraun refuge at 2,251 m above sea level. There take the path on the right side and follow him till you reach the pass at 2571 m above sea level. There you can find the origins of the 1872 built water-channel which conducts water through the valley Vinschgau . You can see also some channels which are chopped into stone. But also the view to the outside counts: from here you can see the Dolomites, the Adamello mountains and even the Ötztal Alps and the mountains of Engadin.
To get back you choose path 2, which leads you to Latscher Alm. From there, you reach your starting point in 1,5 hours.

Tarscher Alm Tour (Malga di Tarres)
Challenging climbs, rewarding views, a "gschmackige Marend" and several trail options. The tour starts at the village square of Tarres (Schulweg). Follow the signs on the asphalt road to the valley station of the chairlift Tarres Alp (1,200 m). At the finish house of the toboggan run, turn right and take a fairly leisurely route to Platzleng. From this fantastic picnic spot in the forest, we then crank up the forest road on partly very steep ramps to the Malga di Tarres (1,935 m) and earn a proper stop at the Malga di Tarres and the Mountain Restaurant Malga di Tarres. From Laces: from the Laces sports stadium (SportForum) in a southerly direction to the AquaForum adventure pool and either via the forest road and Raminiwaal or the road on to Tarres. Shortcut: The Malga di Tarres lift transports bikes. From Laces we are then almost exclusively on asphalt. Downhill or connecting variants: Tarscher Alm Trail, Roatbrunn Trail, 4-wins-13.

Latscher Alm Tour (Malga di Laces)
One of the classic tours on the Laces "Nörderberg" - real alpine pasture food included.
From the car park of the Laces sports stadium (SportForum) we start in a southerly direction to the AquaForum adventure pool, then turn right to the ice stadium (IceForum) and straight to the Latscherhof and then to the forest path in the direction to Magrinböden. The forest path is now moderately steep but constant in the direction of Töbrunn. From there we crank the final stretch slightly up and down to the refreshment stop at the Latscher Alm. Homemade products and good dumplings as well as drinks containing electrolytes delight our bikers hearts. We return to the valley either via the same forest trail, the Tarscher Alm forest trail, the "Roatbrunn trail" (S3) or the "4-wins-13 trail" (S2).

Video : Tarscher Alm Hochgebirgstour

Rudy Giuliani got more than cake and presents for his 80 th birthday bash – he was also served justice.
The former New York City mayor was tripping the light fantastic with pals in Palm Springs Friday night when he was intercepted outside the party at the home of top GOP consultant Caroline Wren by two officials from Democratic Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes’ office, sources told The Post.
The pair served Giuliani with a legal notice of his Arizona indictment for allegedly being involved in a plot to overturn the 2020 election in favor of ex-President Donald Trump.
Most of the 200 guests were gone by the time the duo showed up around 11 p.m., but some of the stragglers began screaming – including one woman who cried as Giuliani was handed the papers, according to sources.
Giuliani, however, was not fazed, insisted a source close to the ex-mayor.
“It actually wasn’t that big of a deal,” the person said.
The party’s guests — who received gold-and-black invitations featuring a photo of Giuliani in a tux and another of him wearing aviator shades and a USA hat — included embattled former Trump advisors Steve Bannon and Roger Stone.
“While crime in Arizona is at an all-time high, the Arizona [AG’s] office felt it was a good use of resources to send multiple agents across the country to storm an 80th birthday party like it was Normandy,” fumed Wren.
Giuliani seemed to be enjoying himself throughout the party – celebrated 11 days before his actual birthday on May 28 – even posing for a photo with a bevy of blonde bombshells that he posted on X while taunting Mayes.
“If Arizona authorities can’t find me by tomorrow morning: 1. They must dismiss the indictment; 2. They must concede they can’t count votes,” wrote Giuliani in the post, which has since been deleted.
“The final defendant was served moments ago. @RudyGiuliani nobody is above the law,” Mayes posted on X late Friday.
Giuliani was the last of the 18 pro-Trump defendants to be served in the indictment returned by a grand jury last month. They’re accused of partaking in a failed bid to award the state’s 11 presidential electoral votes to Trump.
Besides Arizona, the states of Michigan, Nevada and Georgia are also charging electors for falsely casting votes for Trump.
Despite the unexpected guests, those invited attended Giuliani’s party “had a really good time,” said a source close to the ex-mayor.
The event featured a Frank Sinatra tribute band, with Giuliani at one point leading the band singing “New York, New York.”
Giuliani also found time to talk about this year’s presidential race and his desire to boot Joe Biden from the White House.
“This time we can make no mistakes if we want our country back. Do you want your country back?!” bellowed Giuliani to the crowd in a video obtained by the Post.
“Then we got to work like hell from now until Election Day and, who knows? Maybe after, which I learned. But they are not taking this country away from us.”
Giuliani spokesman Ted Goodman said the former mayor wasn’t phased by the decision “to try and embarrass him” on his birthday.
“He enjoyed an incredible evening with hundreds of people who love him – from all walks of life – and we look forward to vindication soon,” he said.
Giuliani is expected to celebrate his birthday, again, on May 31 at the Midtown eatery Amata.
Both parties come with a gift registry including everything from an electric razor and Giorgio Armani cologne to “stain-blocking ceiling paint” and a 55-inch TV.
The gift registry on Amazon sent out by pals specifies which gifts should be sent to his Manhattan or Palm Beach addresses.
A message told guests that gifts aren’t necessary, but if you wanted to give presents to refer to the Amazon registry.
The Amazon registry titled “Rudolph Giuliani… 80th birthday party, May 28, 2024,” shows that gifts already purchased for the former Trump advisor include a home sleeper chair convertible bed, ceiling paint, a Braun electric razor, LED chandeliers, a Shure microphone, a “cooling” comforter and an iPad.

Prof. Alan Rozenshtein Quoted in United Press International About Possible Outcome of TikTok Lawsuit
Prof. Alan Rozenshtein was quoted in United Press International about the legal dispute between TikTok and the federal government. TikTok parent company ByteDance filed a lawsuit earlier this month, challenging what it calls an “unprecedented step” taken by Congress to either force the sale of the app or ban it in the United States. Prof. Rozenshtein said ByteDance’s claim of First Amendment right of free speech is a strong argument, but he is not convinced it will win in court. “It's the best argument they could make. There are 170 million people in the United States that use TikTok. All of that activity is presumptively protected speech. More likely than not, ultimately the Supreme Court will allow this to stand. I’m not saying it’s a slam dunk.”
