Take To The Sea With Island Packers New Dinner Cruises

From Blues to Rock, Visitors Enjoy A Stellar Line-Up of Live Entertainment At Sea

Ventura, CA – With summer fast approaching, visitors to Ventura Harbor Village, Ventura’s top seaside attraction, can now enjoy the warmer days ahead board an two-hour Island Packers boat dinner cruise where they will experience delicious cuisine paired to live entertainment from June through September, 2019.  www.islandpackers.com .

Beginning in June, and operating on selected Saturdays through September, singles, couples and families  can cruise the protected waters of Ventura Harbor and enjoy a savory meal, and listen to quality music aboard a comfortable motor catamaran.  Cuisine on these limited capacity ships is catered by the Ventura’s top restaurants, including Anacapa Brewery, The Greek Mediterranean Steak & Seafood, and Margarita Villa. A variety of beers, wines produced by local wineries, as well as non-alcoholic beverages, are also available for purchase.

Guests will enjoy live music featuring blues, jazz, rock, country, bluegrass and more.  With seating available inside the lower and upper cabins, passengers have several comfortable seating options as they cruise through Ventura Harbor and the waterfront homes of the Ventura Keys.

Boats will cruise the coast to Oxnard Harbor for viewing of fireworks at 9 p.m. and return approximately 10 p.m.  Crossing can be rough and not for everyone.  Snack bar for food, snacks and beverages for sale.

No outside alcohol permitted on board our cruises.  Passengers are advised to dress warmly, casual,  And no high heels. Plan to enjoy the Ventura Harbor Village before or after your cruise.

You are allowed to bring on your own food, however due to our liquor license, 

all alcoholic beverages must be purchased on the vessel.   Boat must be left as when chartered or a $150+ cleaning charge will be added to the bill.

All payments are due prior to sailing.  There is a no cancellation policy on all private events.  Any charter

canceled will be charged for the entire charter bill.

• Ideas for a Eureka Springs Romantic Getaway

Ventura County is located on the coast of California midway between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. Aside from the many little towns in this county that is often referred to as The Gold Coast, there are also three ports: Ventura, Oxnard and the deep-water Port Hueneme. While Hueneme is primarily used for military and commercial purposes, dinner and party cruises leave from Ventura and Oxnard harbors on a regular basis.

Pirate Dinner Cruise

The Pirate dinner cruise leaves from the Ventura harbor. Dine on tri-tip and shrimp while listening or dancing to a Jimmy Buffett ("A Pirate Looks at Forty") tribute band. There are regular weekend cruises from summer through October, with dinner, beverage, dessert and live music included. Beer and wine are for sale in the galley and no high heels are allowed on the boats. But what self-respecting pirate would be caught dead in a pair of Jimmy Choo pumps anyway? The ticket price for an adult was $52 in 2010.

Oxnard's Scarlett Belle

Although a popular choice for seagoing weddings, Oxnard's Scarlett Belle also offers many brunch and dinner cruises during the spring, summer and fall–wine tasting with jazz, Dixieland with barbecue, or just a great steak dinner. A romantic replication of a Mark Twain era paddle-wheeler, the Scarlett Belle can host about 150 guests and the rate as of 2010 was $75 per person for most cruises. Private dinner parties can also be arranged.

Dreamer's Dream

Take a beautiful dinner cruise aboard the 54-foot motorized paddle-wheeler Dreamers Dream, a charming double-decker day boat with open viewing areas on the top, stern and bow, enabling guests to fully enjoy the sunset. In summer, the cruise starts at 7:30 p.m. but do make reservations, because the boat only holds 24 dinner guests. The buffet menu comes from different Ventura Harbor village restaurants every night. One night may mean sushi, another Greek. Entertainment? As the staff says, the view–or your companion–should be your entertainment.

Reservations are strongly recommended and are required on meal cruises. Tickets can be purchased online, over the phone or by visiting our ticket office at Pleasant Harbor Marina.

Arriving at Pleasant Harbor

Please plan to arrive at least 45 minutes before cruise departure, to allow for sufficient travel time from the parking lot to the marina. Pleasant Harbor charges a $9.00 per vehicle ($2.00 per person on chartered buses) entry fee. Active-Duty  Militar y, Veterans, Firefighters, and Police Officers receive FREE gate entry with ID. Shuttle golf carts will pick you up in the parking lot at the blue canopy and bring you dow n to the floating marina. The shuttle ride is FREE, but tips are appreciated and encouraged .

Boarding ‘The Phoenix’

Boarding begins 30 minutes prior to scheduled cruise departure. We will check you in by your last name. Seating is first come, first served. No outside food or beverages allowed on board. No hydro flasks, water bottles or coolers allowed. Bottled water in clear, factory-sealed bottles is okay. Cash only on board for snacks and beverages. All children 12 and under are required to wear a life jacket (provided).

Cruise Cancellations & Rescheduling

No refunds. A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to reschedule any pre-paid cruise. Coupons and discounts cannot be applied after booking your reservation. Our cruises may be cancelled by the Captain if extreme weather conditions (strong winds/thunder/

lightning) are present. We do not cancel for rain. In the extremely rare case that we have to cancel a cruise due to weather, we will contact you at the phone number you provided.

1/2 DAY ISLAND WILDLIFE CRUISE

Wildlife Cruises are 3 ½ hour non-landing trips that include a narrated crossing of the Santa Barbara Channel, a shoreline cruise of Anacapa Island including Arch Rock, seal and sea lion rookeries, and any wildlife encountered along the way. These trips frequently make brief stops at Anacapa Island to drop-of and pick-up visitors of Anacapa.

OUTER ISLAND WILDLIFE CRUISE

These trips focus on finding wildlife in the Marine Sanctuary and along the shorelines of the outer islands of the Park. Visitors stop to view secluded beaches often filled with pinnipeds (seal/sea lions) and travel over waters typically teeming with wildlife, including whales, dolphins and dozens of pelagic and migratory bird species. These trips also visit Painted Cave on Santa Cruz Island.

As part of their route, vessels stop at Santa Rosa and Santa Cruz islands to drop off / pick up passengers visiting the National Park.
