Soy una china.

Aquí quiero contar mi mal experiencia con la agencia de turismo PERUVIAN TRAVEL.

He contratado 2 veces con este agencia, el servicio de los 2 veces son terribles.

Primer en agosto, son 3 personas que quieren viajar a Machupichu, al inicio, nos da una lista de hoteles y sus cotizaciones, seleccionamos uno, nos indica que no hay problema, y después, dice que no hay espacio, nos pide que pago un costo adicional, como la fecha de viaje está cerca, aceptamos el pago adicional. De su oficina, esperamos más de 3 horas para definir la reserva.

Pensamos que todo está listo, pero, cuando llegamos al aeropuerto de cusco, nadie nos espera, allí llamamos a agencia y esperamos 2 horas , al fin ,viene el chofer y nos dijo que nadie le avisa nuestro horario de llegada.

Después de los 3 dias de viaje, todo esta más o menos, no llega tan terrible.

Por eso. Del mes octubre, hay 3 compañeros quieren viajar a cusco , contratamos otra vez este agencia, aquí comienza la experiencia terrible.

Con el teléfono comunicamos con una Señorita, igual nos envía una lista de hotel y sus cotizaciones, seleccionamos un hotel en 4 estrella, me dijo que me confirme un poco tarde, esperamos todo el dia, no hay ningún confirmación, el siguente dia, fuimos a su oficina en Milaflores, y nos dijieron que no está disponible este hotel de 4 estrella, entonces, cambiamos a otro en 3 estrella, es un sábado, nos dijieron que espera hasta lunes para enviar la confirmación. El lunes, me indica que el hotel que seleccionamos no está disponible otra vez, y el de 4 estrella ya hay espacio, a nosotros no hay ningún problema, esperamos hasta la tarde por su confirmación y pagamos inmediatamente, dentro de este proceso , he llamado miles veces a la agencia para pedir su confirmación. y también , su cotización se ha subido 3 veces por la causa que no hay espacio del hotel ,etc. el viaje comienza el miércoles, con 3 chinos y casi no habla español, El martes en la noche, recién me envie sus vouche me llama y solo me dijo que revise bien las informaciones para que no tenga ningún inconveniente.

El miércoles, los 3 comienzan su viaje, cuando llega el hotel, la señora china me llama y dice que con la conversación con la guía, parece que solo le deja a vivir en este hotel de 4 estrella por una noche, la señora habla muy poco español, me pide consultar qué pasa. Por qué son diferentes que conversamos en su agencia. Llamo al agencia, y me dijo que porque no hay ticket del tren se ha cambiado todos, pagamos 2 noches por un hotel de 4 estrella, ahora ,se les cambia un noche a un hotel de 3 estrella en agua caliente. Lo más importante es que no me avisa nada antes de su viaje. Por el teléfono en la noche de martes, solo me dijo que revise las condiciones bien, he chequeado el vouche que me enviado, no me indica nada sobre este cambio.

Como la gente ya están en cusco, aceptamos todo eso parcial. El siguente dia, ellos se levanta 3 y media en el dia , cuando llega a machipichu, la guía solo le indica que en la noche se queda en este hotel, y se desaparecio. En todo dia, los 3 se paseando ellos mismo en machupichu sin guía! Y porqué pagamos tantos para un viaje sin guía!!!!

Los 3 regresa desde cusco y me dijo que es un mal experiencia que nunca ha encontrado por cualquier agencia.

Después de su viaje, solicitamos una factura, desde el dia 17 los 3 regresan de cusco, hasta hoy dia, llamo vario veces , y no me da la factura todavía! solo Me dijo que hay que esperar, con 10 dias no me pasa la factura.

Por todo eso, cuento a todos para que tenga mucho cuidado con este agencia de turismo PERUVIAN TRAVEL.

Por eso ,Queremos queja a este agencia .

hay que tener mucho cuidado al elegir, yo te recomendaría que utilices Travex Security que es una agencia que tiene respaldo internacional.

Lamento la mala experiencia pero yo tuve una experiencia totalmente diferente con PERUVIAN Travel, soy Dominicana y contrate desde mi país para viajar a Machu Pichu con ellos, fuimos un grupo de 10 y fue una experiencia maravillosa, nos atendió una joven llamada Gina, muy profesional, paciente y atenta y el viaje no pudo ser mejor, excelente precio, el mejor despues de revisar muchassss agencias, puntualidad,excelentes guias, los recomiendo sin reservas. Al llegar a Lima fui personalmente a una de sus oficinas para agradecer de manera personal.

Lamento tu experiencia. Soy Dominicana y contrate con ellos un viaje para 10 personas a Machu Pichu, la experiencia fue maravillosa, nos atendió siempre la señorita Gina, una joven muy profesional, en extremo paciente y muy atenta. Los recorridos fueron muy puntuales, buen hotel, excelentes guías...en fin una experiencia inolvidable gracias a ellos, En una escala de 10, le daríamos todos 10 puntos. Además ofrecen el MEJOR precio del mercado. La recomiendo sin reservas.

My partner and I only had two weeks to travel in Peru, but Peru Hop made it possible and our experience exceptional. The buses were organized, on time, efficient, and safe, and the trip guides never let us down.

We had the pleasure of having guides Gabi (Gabriel) and Sandra, both who were very informative, positive, full of good humor, and seemingly truly focused on making Peruhop and one's travels full of great and worthwhile experiences. I enjoyed picking their brains, eating with them, joking with them, and developing a rapport throughout our journey. Muchas gracias, to the both of you.

The little excursions are very interesting, mostly falling into the interesting category for many reasons. Though the Nazca lines were hard to see, the ambience of the place (the wind, ethereal lighting, and brilliant clouds) made this place magical. The desert park excursions near Paracas were surprisingly and refreshingly barren (meant in a good way). The poor man's Galapagos were full of cool animals with a refreshing and relaxing boat ride manned by EXTREMELY skilled boaters. Some of the restaurant stops were subpar or expensive... But this is to be expected and it is hard to get around it. Despite their lackluster taste or price, they are usually in cool areas and the stops make for great excuses to stretch one's legs and go to the bathroom.

Overall Peru Hop suited our needs and was enjoyable, allowing us to explore many areas of Peru we wouldn't have been able to if we arranged the trip ourselves. It was pretty cost effective and the guides were great and organized. We highly recommend Peru Hop.

We were 3 couples travelling from Lima to Cusco. It was our first time in Peru and Peru Hop was a lovely way to see a lot of the country in a short time.

They were well organised and on time, and we saw a lot more than we would have if we had booked each trip on our own. We discovered little towns like Paracas and Huacachina, and big cities as well. They facilitated the extra tours well, and the pick up and drop off procedures were seemless! Being a third world country, we felt very safe travelling with Peruhop and didn't worry about our luggage getting stolen or about crashing into mountain passes.

We left Lima with FERNANDO AND CARTA, and honestly they were a big part of why we enjoyed the trip so much! They were full of energy and information, and they went above and beyond the call of duty. In Paracas, Fernando came with us to explain our dietary requirements at a restaurant to make sure there were no misunderstandings with the language barrier. They gave us recommendations for things to do and eat at every stop and we loved our time with them. Carta gave us a balm to use when we were suffering with altitude sickness and waited with us in Cusco until a taxi came to take us to our hotel. He wouldn't leave until every passenger had transport to the accommodation! Their attention to detail and genuine passion made our trip so much better than we expected.

Overall we had a great time and would definitely do it again!

My girlfriend and I took Peruhop’s “Get to Cusco Quick” route from Lima. Lisa Marie took us from our Lima hostel and did a great job of explaining our itinerary and making us feel comfortable on the bus.

In Paracas, Johnny and Richardo were wonderful and showed us around the nature reserve. In Huacachina, we switched over to Johnny and Richardo’s bus until Nazca. Both of them were great travel companions and guides. Richardo told us all about the Nazca lines before we arrived.

In Nazca, we learned there was an adjustment made which required a small group of us (6 passengers) to board a non-Peruhop night bus to Cusco. Johnny hung out with us and made sure we got on the bus okay — he was great! It worked out well: we arrived in Cusco 7 hours earlier than our original itinerary.

Would highly recommend. We made friends on the way and we’re able to have a no stress travel experience across Peru!

We decided to book with them as they offer transport to Cusco via Arequipa, which is supposed to be the safest route. We also liked that they make a quick stop in Nazca, you just have to get out of the bus to the viewing tower and can hop back on. In this way you can see the Nazca lines without having to spend an overnight. We really liked our guide Gorge, he was super enthusiastic and always answered all our questions.

We especially appreciated Peru Hop and the way they communicate and how honest they are when we booked tours with other companies in Cusco. Other tour companies keep dropping you off at places for shopping and that is how they keep the costs low. We never encountered a guide as enthusiastic and accommodating as Jorge. We found the other travelers with Peru Hop very nice, they had all sorts of ages and most of them are real travel enthusiasts.

When I first purchased it, I didn’t expect it to be Put together that well. I didn’t book any of the hotels/hostels before my trip and the guides helped me to do it on the bus. My guides were Ricardo and Nicole. They are the ones that made this trip to be the one of my lifetime. They quickly became my friends and made me feel completely comfortable. If you get a chance to choose guides, make sure you are riding with these two (they always work together as a pair) and make sure to say hi from me! Would definitely repeat this trip in a heartbeat. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to see Peru on the cheap and with comfort!.

Fantastic trip with Peru Hop. I took the „full South Route“ Lima-Paracas-Huacachina-Nasca-Areqiupa-Cusco.

Guids: All guides speak (proper) english, are friendly, funny, helpful and knowledgeable. They support you with information about whatever you want to know or need and will give you an answer to every question. They are always pleased to help you to book or choose an extra tour for you. Very friendly and honest people. All my guids were local, what is really amazing because you can literally feel how much they love their country and their jobs. I had different guides for different destinations: Yoced, Aron and in the end I was lucky to meet Elvio, who has given me the best recommendation about trips around. But any way i need to say "thank you" to Aron! He has taken care of me as I almost lost consciousness due to altitude sickness. All guids were cool and special. I enjoyed my trip with organized guids and also the easy communication with the office (first I upgraded my ticket to Bolivia Hop but due to the political situation in Bolivia I had to cancel it again. It was no problem to upgrade my ticket and got my money back when I had canceled.)

Busses: The busses was comfortable and clean. In general the drivers were nice and professional.

I enjoyed this trip, met amazing people and had a great time.

Family Travel

My sister and I are usually travelers who would do our own thing.. organize own transport and accommodation etc. But after reading about Peru Hop we thought for the Peru bit of our travels let's take it easy a bit. We were so happy we booked the Peru Hop service as it took away all the simple hassles of going back and forth to bus terminals and getting to hostels. I would sum them up as total convenience in that sense. They were on time or close to time with their services. The times of the buses linked very well with tours people were doing. They were very organized in our eyes. We had a total of 3 different guides along the 9 days we travelled with them and each guide was very helpful and professional. Keep up the great work guys!

We did the full down South tour. It is touristy in places like Hucachina and Lake Titikaka but still nice to see. Other than that we spent the number of days we wanted in towns and did our own thing. For those who decide to stay extra days in Arequipa and you don't have many days to see the Colca Canyon I would recommend the Lake Salinas tour. Peru Hop advertises the Colca Canyon in their info book but we thought it was too rushed to do over a day or 2 so we opted for the Lake Salinas day tour with hot springs (which are more secluded than the Colca Hot Springs...less touched). It was beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed that day out especially as we weren't going to Bolivia to see their salt lake. We booked it through an agency in Arequipa...just shop around and make sure hot spring is included. Overall I think Peru Hop is a GREAT service offered in Peru for those who want to take it a bit easy with getting around and not having to worry about the language barrier.

Older Travelers

We have had travellers as old as 70 and 80 years old who have loved Peru Hop because there is no other bus or tour in the country that provides the level of cultural knowledge that we do at each destination.

Great tour. Guides were excellent and we got an realistic feel for the history and culture of Lima. Cusco and Machu Picchu. They handled any issues that arose with a lot of class. A bit more casual than what we're accustomed to in terms of scheduling but I think that added to the enjoyment of the trip.

Traveled this December to Cusco with my wife and some friends, finally lined up some vacation time to check out the Inca Trail. We got in touch with Journey Machu Picchu (our travel agent's name was Eduardo),they organized the whole trip for us. They took care of all the permits, hotels, tours, guides, etc, even got us an upgrade on the trains. We had an issue with my wife the day before starting the trail and assumed we'd have to cancel everything. Nope, they hooked her up with different tours while we were on the trail and met back up in Machu Picchu. The trail itself was so much better than I'd thought it'd be. Edgar (our guide) helped us along every step of the way. We had an awesome time and hope to do a few more treks in the future, the Salkantay looked pretty cool.

ook a 10 day package with Journey at the end of November leading into the holidays. Went to Lima, Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. We got to see all the mainstays as far as I know. Great, well organized trip. The altitude hit me a bit hard during the first couple of days but I was allright after that. Our guides were great, our guide in Machu Picchu was exceptional, he answered all of our questions, never left us with any sort of uncertainty. The airport was a bit of a hassle though, customs took forever to let us through but I can't hold you guys accountable for that. Thank you for helping a couple of old men finally take this trip, the logistics was getting a bit too out of hand for us. Very friendly staff on the whole.

It was an amazing trip. All the food was included, the guide was phenomenal and the hike itself was stunning!

My consultant was David Quinn and he provided very good advice and support. When one of our flights was cancelled he helped to get us an alternative land transport to make sure we were back on track for our next leg. During that anxious period he was always available to give us advice on what to expect and do. Even after our trip was over, he helped us to get a refund from the airline even though it took more than 7 months. Luxury Travel is fortunate to have him!

This experience was great. Our guide in Cusco and surrounding areas was incredible. So nice and knowledgeable. He really brought us into the history Machu Picchu was so special and our guide was so good to show us the best ways around and share the history I travel constantly and I have to say that o usually don’t book tours. But I did for this trip and it was my best decision. Everything was on time and exactly or better than advertised. I only wish we had done the overnight in auqua calliente but just a minor deviation

Personally I agree Machu Picchu does warrant that second day. It is a large site that rewards the extra time so worth considering if you are reading this and planning a Peru Vacation. Great trip, well organized and excellent in every way. The explanations of what to expect was well done. Only wish we had had 2 more days in Cusco before we went up to Machu Picchu. It would have been easier on our breathing.

Sally Hi, great point, Cusco is at 10,500 feet so if you suffer from altitude sickness and extra 24 or 48 hours in Cusco to acclimatize can help a lot. Altitude Sickness medication is availble widely "over the counter" at all local pharmacies and Coca Tea is reputed to help with any mild symtoms. If you are reading this and planning a Peru Vacation this may well be worth bearing in mind in your plans. If you are concerned please do seek proper qualified medical advise before travelling. Machu Picchu is also a hilly site that can involve some moderate or hardish walking over uneven pathways and some stone stairways. Assistance including specialists guides, wheelchairs and air tanks are available if required. Whilst Machu Picchu is "wheelchair accessible" it is not really, this will involve you being carried with your wheelchair at times over some rough ground so can be somewhat undignified, still probably worth the effort : ) Thanks again for your feedback Sally and we hope your slight problems didn't detract too much from your enjoyment of Machu Picchu your vacation!

Maybe it was my most luxurious travel. Paying everything in advance without meeting anybody from the company was strange and risky but everything was fine at the end and even better. I wish to use a travel company like this everywhere in the world.

Paying with Credit Card will lessen some of the risk and Travel Insurance would provide 100% protection in most cases.
