Design features

MSC Seascape pays tribute to New York City, which as a destination represents the spirit of discovery and cultural experiences that is at the heart of the MSC Cruises guest experience. As such, the design features, public areas and venue names are inspired by the metropolitan U.S. city. These include an imposing three-metre-high replica of the Statue of Liberty at the heart of the casino and a newly designed expansive retail and entertainment area, aptly named Times Square. The main feature of this new area is an impressive 8.5 metre-high LED wall spanning four decks with a projection of the iconic skyline of this entertainment hub in Manhattan that can change from day to night.

Incanto del mare - Magic of the sea

The monumental sculpture Incanto del Mare was created for the MSC Foundation by Venini , one of the world’s most esteemed glassmakers, which celebrated its 100th Anniversary in 2021.

The sculpture rises from deck 5 through to deck 8, it sends a powerful message of care for the sea and our planet to thousands of voyagers every year, evoking the beauty and fragility of sea.

As a work of art, the creation symbolises the MSC Foundation’s dedication to protecting and promoting the natural environment of which we are a part and upon which we depend: our Planet.

MSC Seascape is the perfect location for the sculpture, bringing its message of care for the sea, which must – for our own as well as their health – be respected, maintained and nurtured.

The Marina Pool

On Deck 18, the main pool  has two different depths so that guests can choose to swim or simply stand and hang-out in the water, the newly designed area includes a 360-degree water fountain island in the centre as well as a new lounge space within the pool. It is connected with the aquapark with a Pirates Cove theme to create an extensive water area.

Outdoor Areas

At 339 metres, MSC Seascape is the longest ship in the fleet and offers 13,000sqm of outdoor space. Stand-out design features include spectacular glass-floored Bridge of Sighs located at the unique vantage point on deck 16 - 22 metres above the Infinity Pool , stunning panoramic aft elevators and stylish glass-floor catwalks on either side of the ship on the waterfront promenade.

ROBOTRON offers the breath-taking thrill of a rollercoaster at sea combined with a personalised DJ music experience. It is a state-of-the-art robotic arm with an attached gondola that seats three guests. Flying 53 metres above the sea, ROBOTRON provides a unique 360° view of the horizon flipping riders upside down and in different directions for an adrenaline-pumping ride.

Family & Kids

MSC Seascape has one of the largest kids' area of any ship in the fleet, with 703 m2 of dedicated space . The ambient has been redesigned to offer an unbeatable experience for kids. From the décor, design colors, and themes of the areas, the MSC Seascape’s Kids Club will give all children a chance to reach for the stars, thanks to a futuristic theme, dedicated to space and planetary exploration. Every cruise includes a special and unmissable event: the " LEGO® Experience On Board "- an entire day dedicated to LEGO® bricks & activities for the whole family to enjoy. 9 Things You Should Know Before Cruising With MSC Seascape

Updated: Jan 11

Launching with her maiden voyage in November 2022, MSC Seascape is one of the cruise line's newest gems. With cruise lines continuing to grow and the ships themselves constantly getting bigger as well, it's hard to decide which ones are worth exploring for you and your family.

Here are 9 things you should know before booking with MSC Seascape.

MSC Seascape cruise ship docked in port.

Disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links at no additional cost to you. For more information see my privacy policy here .

Let’s start with the basics

If you’ve cruised frequently with MSC already feel free to skip ahead to the next section but if this is your first time with the Italian company there are a few things you should know going in.

- It will be vastly different from your experience with any American Cruise line.

- The ships are beautiful

- The announcements are LONG.

- The food will be different than what you typically eat on other cruise lines. A very Mediterranean palate is to be expected.

- Unfortunately due to all the nationalities onboard cultures do tend to clash.

- Patience is a must as problems seemed to be solved slowly however they do seem to be slowly adapting more and more to the American market

All in all, MSC is a company well worth trying as long as you go in with an open mind but make sure to read "What to know before your first cruise with MSC" before booking that first cruise with the company. (And of course, subscribe to this blog for all the latest MSC and Cruising Updates 😉)

Now let's get into Seascape!

1. the ship is massive.

Though not the biggest ship of the MSC fleet MSC Seascape still impressively holds over 5,000 passengers each week. This may be a pro or a con for you. Between all the lounges, bars, pools, aqua parks, arcades, and spas…it can be quite fun to explore and find new spaces each day of your vacation.

MSC Seascape girl cruising

That also means it can be very confusing. It is very easy to get turned around and forget which direction is forward. The Chora theater, (deck 6 and 7) gym, and spa (deck 8) are all the way forward and the Cabaret Rouge (deck 7) and Uptown Lounge (deck 8) are all the way aft!

Pro Tip: Try walking back and forth on decks 6, 7, and 8 on your first day onboard to try to get a good lay of the land!

2. The Buffet

The group consensus and potentially the biggest complaint I heard murmured from everyone aboard the ship was problems with the buffet. The food itself received high regards but it is just impossible to stay away from the masses during prime meal times. People tend to cut, push, and shove their way through the lines with absolutely no respect. The buffet has a sharp closing time and doesn't seem to reward those who are trying to be patient and wait for their proper turns. If you can avoid prime meal times I would recommend it, however, I know that’s not always possible.

Pro Tip: Restaurants seemed to be a lot more organized and are not only for dinner! Try skipping a breakfast in the buffet and enjoy a service-style experience a couple of times during your cruise

3. Embarkation and Disembarkation

Another issue that comes from the sheer crowds of people onboard is the embarking and disembarking of the passengers. Once docked in a port people tend to crowd the exits. Security does a decent job of scanning people through quickly but the lines still tend to back up. In my experience, it changed from cruise to cruise in how bad that crowding could be.

And for the love of all that is cruising please remember your cruise card. You will need it EVERY TIME you leave the ship, even on the private island.

Pro Tip: Oftentimes there are up to 4 exits to get off the ship. Consider asking a crew member about other exits/entrances and you just be able to sneak out before the clogged-up masses.

4. Read That Program

There is so much going on it is very easy to miss events and parties onboard. If you request, you can still get the daily program to the cabin but you also can read it on the MSC for Me App, or any of the smart screens around the ship. There are main shows in the theater but specialty music in each of the lounges starting in the evening. The main theme parties on board take place all around the ship from the atrium to the pool deck so read carefully each night so you don’t miss the fun.

White Party MSC Seascape

Pro Tip: The theme parties are a lot of fun especially if you come dressed up in the night attire! Here's a list of all parties currently running onboard MSC Seascape

5. The Cabaret Rouge

A secret gem on the ship and maybe one of the prettiest lounges at sea, the Cabaret Rouge sits at the aft of the ship and is lined with windows around the entire backside. Absolutely breathtaking during the day and surprisingly quiet during navigation. I highly recommend spending some time looking out at all the views when you can.

At night the curtains close and there is almost always some kind of live entertainment. Singers, a full band, oftentimes magicians or hypnotists...the Cabaret carries its own style. Later in the evening, it turns into the ship's nightclub with a live DJ each night.

Pro Tip: A close second up in the secret gem category are the dueling pianos in Times Square lounge. Make sure to check out one of the talented pianists' lively sets at least once during your cruise!

6. Ocean Cay

One of the perks of the itinerary of Seascape is you get to visit the company’s private island in the Bahamas, Ocean Cay. Ocean Cay is a beautiful little paradise to say the least but the biggest perk is not having to share the island with anyone else other than your fellow cruisers. There is a buffet out on the island along with some bars and food trucks that you can use your cruise card at when they’re not included. For more on this private island, check out "The Pros and Cons of Ocean Cay."

Pro Tip: The best snorkeling to see lots of colorful coral and marine life is always the Light House beach!

7. Poolside Space

There are 3 pools onboard MSC Seascape so if the main pool onboard, The Marina, seems a little bit crowded (which it will be ESPECIALLY during navigation) try to check out the other options.

The Jungle Pool is located just one deck below the Marina and is considered the indoor pool onboard due to its roof that can open or close depending on weather conditions. Super, super cool if you ever catch it in action but the pool area does tend to be hot and humid when it is closed so make sure to get some gelato right at the pool entrance.

MSC Seascape sky bridge

The Infinity Pool , my personal favorite, is the adults-only pool onboard. There is a smoking area on one side but if you don’t want to be around the smoke it really does stay pretty well contained. The pool is small and more for wading than swimming but will make for some beautiful photos as it seems to connect to the Ocean.

Pro Tip: If you walk through the uptown lounge there are automatic doors that open up to the pool that everyone seems to walk right past! (Or even take the beautiful glass elevators down from The Marina Pool (deck 18) right into The Infinity Pool (deck 8)

8. The Elevators

In very close running to the most problematic issue onboard alongside the buffet...The elevators are a whole pain of their own. There are only 4 sets of elevators and one is reserved for only the upper decks of the Yacht Club. That leaves 3 sets of VERY busy elevators. Patience is very much a virtue when it comes to waiting for your elevator. If you can handle a few flights the stairs may be your best option.

It is especially bad during the safety drill onboard as most of them shut down and the stairs themselves get overcrowded and messy.

The elevators are set up to call the floor you need from the outside. That means once you’re inside you have no control of where it stops if you didn’t hit your original button. The concept would be beautifully orchestrated if people didn’t just shove into the first elevator that opened and then end up confused again on the wrong deck. The only recommendation I can give you is to try to walk away from the center elevators and take the rides on the front and or back of the ship which seems to be a little less crowded.

Pro tip: Try to find the glass elevators at the back of the ship in your first couple of days before everyone else does. You can access them from Uptown Lounge: They go all the way up to the pool deck with stupendous views and typically shorter waits since they’re a little bit more tucked away than the other elevators onboard.

9. The Ship Is Absolutely Breath Taking

There is not a space onboard that isn’t perfect for a photo op. Beautiful artwork is on every single wall and each lounge has its own style.

MSC Seascape Swarovski stairs

The atrium is absolutely breathtaking and the Swarovski stairs cascade all the way down from deck 8 to 5.

Not to mention the outside walking decks. Deck 8 has multiple doors where you can walk around the outside of the ship and a few bridges that have glass bottoms that you can either look to the lower decks or straight into the ocean. (The other glass bridge you’ll find on deck 16 near the Sky bar!) You can’t help but marvel at the ship's ornamentation.

Pro Tip: Want to take some of the ship's magic home with you? Make sure to visit the ship's art gallery on Deck 8 and bring home a masterpiece with you!

If you can handle the crowds and are willing to be patient with long lines in and out of the exits and eating areas you may just fall in love with the charm that Seascape has to offer.

Don't forget to plan for all the Theme Parties onboard and if you need help packing I've made a couple of must-have lists for you already 😘

20 Best Things To Do On MSC Seascape – Activities & Ship Overview

MSC Seascape cruise ship things to do

Sharing is caring!

MSC Seascape is one of MSC Cruises’ newest ships and a great choice for cruisers interested in traveling on one of the most beautiful and technologically advanced cruise ships at sea.

With plenty of glamorous design details, state-of-the-art activities, and environmentally friendly features, MSC Seascape has a lot to offer.

I recently took my first MSC cruise on MSC Seascape and was impressed with the beautiful ship design, food quality and variety of activities for people of all ages.

With that being said, here are 20 great things to do on MSC Seascape.

This post contains affiliate links which means if you click and buy that I may make a commission, at no cost to you. Please see my disclosure policy for details.

20 Things To Do On MSC Seascape

1. experience the bridge of sighs.

MSC Seascape Bridge of Sighs

When you go on the MSC Seascape, you have to experience the Bridge of Sighs. This skywalk bridge overlooks the Infinity Pool and offers stunning wake ocean views.

This attraction is like nothing I’ve ever experienced on any other cruise ship, and it’s a great location to take photos.

Around the Bridge of Sighs, you’ll find seating areas for lunch and the Sky Bar. Throughout my cruise vacation, I enjoyed sitting at the Sky Bar, as it has a calm vibe and offers great ocean views.

2. Relax at the Infinity Pool

MSC Seascape Infinity Pool

My favorite area on the MSC Seascape was the Infinity Pool. This adult-only pool area is absolutely gorgeous and a great place to relax throughout your cruise vacation.

This pool features lounge chairs, a bar, and a deck overlooking the ocean. Watching a sunset from the Infinity Pool deck was breathtaking and something that everyone has to experience.

I really enjoyed the Infinity Pool area because it has a calm and relaxing vibe. Furthermore, servers would go around and take drink orders, which added to the overall experience.

3. Try A Slice of Pizza

MSC cruise pizza

When you’re on the MSC Seascape, you must try a pizza slice!

Since MSC is an Italian cruise line, they are known for their delicious pizza. As a cruise pizza lover, I was skeptical about the pizza on MSC.

However, it certainly lived up to the hype when I gave it a try. Pizza will be available throughout the day and in the evenings at the buffet.

Since the pizza is so popular on MSC, you will always be able to get a hot and fresh slice.

4. Experience Robotron

MSC Robotron

If you’re a thrill seeker, then you have to try Robotron. Robotron is one of the latest amusement rides at sea, and it is innovative and incredible.

This thrill ride overlooks the Marina Pool and offers stunning ocean views.

I must admit, I was too intimidated to go on this thrill ride! However, I talked to several cruisers who were brave enough to give it a try, and they said it was tons of fun.

5. Go For Dinner in The Main Dining Room

MSC Seascape main dining room dinner

MSC Seascape has a really good main dining room . With good quality food, fast and friendly service, and a versatile menu, you’ll enjoy the main dining rooms on this cruise ship.

The main dining room on MSC is separated into four separate restaurants. Here are the main dining restaurants on MSC Seascape:

  • The Green Wave
  • Cala Jondal Restaurant
  • Aegean Restaurant
  • Skyline Restaurant

The main dining room being split into four separate restaurants allows for a more intimate and enjoyable experience. Dining times are assigned, unless you’re in the MSC Yacht Club or have booked the Aurea experience.

Throughout our cruise we ate in The Green Wave. This restaurant had a nice decor, friendly service, and the food was always tasty.

6. Watch a Show At Chora Theater

MSC Seascape production show

If you’re looking for fun, family friendly entertainment, you’ll enjoy the entertainment in the Chora Theater. On MSC Seascape, there are a variety of dancing and singing shows as well as guest performances like magicians and comedians.

Watching a show at the Chora Theater is a great way to relax after dinner.

We saw Premiere, a theater show that involved singing and dancing during our cruise. This show was entertaining and appropriate for all ages. We also saw a comedian during our 7 day cruise.

7. Dance the Night Away At Cabaret Rouge

MSC Seascape Cabaret

Cabaret Rouge is an entertainment venue that turns into a nightclub in the evenings. If you like to dance, drink, and party, then you will really enjoy it.

Throughout our cruise, I spent many nights at the Cabaret Rouge. The music was great, a fun atmosphere, and the bar service was friendly and efficient.

One thing that surprised me about MSC is how late the parties go. The Cabaret Rouge would be open till 2 to 3 AM every evening. So, if you want to have fun at night, check out the Cabaret Rouge.

8. Enjoy Time with The Family at the Jungle Pool

MSC Seascape Jungle Pool

The Jungle Pool is the perfect spot for a family pool day. With comfortable lounge chairs, hot tubs, and a beautiful pool, it is a great place to go during a sea day.

Since the Jungle Pool is located right next to the arcade, kids’ club, and teens’ club, it will attract families. However, this pool area can get quite noisy, so it is something to consider if you are looking for a more relaxing vibe.

9. Try Venchi Gelato

MSC Seascape Venchi

When you sail on MSC Seascape, you have to try Venchi Gelato. Located on deck 8 at the Infinity Pool and deck 16 at the Jungle Pool, Venchi Gelato is the perfect place for a cold treat.

Located on deck 6 is the Venchi 1878 Chocolate Bar. Here, you can purchase delicious chocolates to eat on the cruise ship or to bring home as gifts.

10. Experience Specialty Dining

MSC Seascape Ocean Cay specialty restaurant

If you’re a foodie, then you will love the specialty dining onboard MSC Seascape. Onboard MSC Seascape, there are several specialty restaurants.

Here are the specialty restaurants you’ll find onboard MSC Seascape:

  • Butchers Cut
  • Kaito Teppanyaki
  • Kaito Sushi
  • Hola! Tacos & Cantina

During our cruise vacation, we had the opportunity to try Butchers Cut, Ocean Cay and Hola! Tacos & Cantina. The food and service were amazing, and these specialty dining venues made for an enjoyable dining experience.

11. Visit The Arcade

MSC Seascape arcade VR

MSC Seascape has an incredible video arcade called the Hall of Games. This arcade features classic arcade games, an F1 racing simulator, and virtual reality bikes.

Throughout my time on the MSC Seascape, the Hall of Games was always busy. This arcade is very popular among young kids and families looking to have a fun time.

12. Go On Waterslides

MSC Seascape waterslides

If you’re looking for an exciting thrill, check out the waterslides. MSC Seascape has four amazing waterslides.

There’s one children’s waterslide, a tube waterslide, and two racing waterslides in Pirate’s Cove. I tried all the waterslides, and they were super fun.

Although there are many activities on MSC Seascape, the waterslides are certainly worth trying.

13. Visit Pirate’s Cove

MSC Seascape Pirates Cove waterpark

If you’re cruising with young children, they will love Pirate’s Cove. This splash park has water cannons, waterslides, and waterfalls.

This area is great for kids because it has many fun attractions and a lifeguard on duty.

As a kid, I know that I would have spent most of my time on this cruise at Pirate’s Cove. This is the ultimate paradise for younger kids.

14. Enjoy the Various Bar Areas

MSC Seascape bars

There are plenty of bars onboard MSC Seascape, ranging from champagne bars to sports bars to poolside bars.

Whether it’s the daytime or evening, you’ll always be able to find a bar with something going on. Whether it’s live music, activities, or entertainment, MSC does a great job keeping its bar areas exciting.

Throughout the cruise, I would spend my evenings hanging out at the Seascape Bar. There was live music and dancing every evening, and the bar service was very friendly.

15. Spend Time at the Marina Pool

MSC Marina Pool

If you’re looking to tan, swim, or drink by the pool, then check out the Marina Pool. Located on deck 18, the Marina pool is the perfect place for an enjoyable pool day.

The Marina Pool is quiet in the mornings. As the day progresses, it will have music, activities, and evening parties on select days.

This was the most popular pool on the cruise ship, so if you want a good chair, you’ll want to get there early.

16. Attend a Themed Party

MSC Seascape White Party

One of the things I enjoyed most about MSC Seascape was the variety of themed parties. Throughout the cruise, there was a white party on the lido deck and an 80s party in the promenade area.

These parties were so much fun! There was great music, dancing, and very fast bar service.

Overall, these parties are an amazing time for cruisers of all ages. Whether you’re cruising as a family, as a couple, or solo, you will have a blast at the themed parties on MSC Seascape.

17. Participate in Activities

MSC Seascape Culinary demonstration

On MSC Seascape, there is no shortage of activities. On sea days, fun and family-friendly activities occur throughout the day.

Activities ranging from culinary demonstrations to trivia and dance lessons are a great time for all cruise passengers. These would be happening in the main atrium, and they were really busy.

Throughout the evenings, cruisers can enjoy game shows like The Quest, karaoke, live music, and a live DJ in the nightclub.

As a work of art, the creation symbolises the MSC Foundation’s dedication to protecting and promoting the natural environment of which we are a part and upon which we depend: our Planet.

MSC Seascape Itineraries

Msc seascape review, review of msc seascape.

The 2022-built MSC Seascape cruise ship is Italy-built (by Fincantieri), MSC's 21th liner, and also the second SEASIDE EVO-Class vessel in the fleet - preceded by sistership MSC Seashore (2021).

The vessel (IMO number 9843807) is currently Malta- flagged (MMSI 256059000) and registered in Valletta .

History - construction and ownership

MSC Cruises (MSC Crociere) is a passenger shipping company headquartered in Genoa and Naples . It was established in 1960. Today, MSC Crociere is a subsidiary of MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company) - the world's 2nd largest containership company . MSC is the world's largest privately/family-owned cruise company. By annual passenger shipping volumes, MSC is ranked the world's 4th largest cruise company - after Carnival Corporation , RCG-Royal Caribbean Group and NCLH-Norwegian .

In November 2017 MSC ordered 2x "Seaside EVO" class ships from Fincantieri (contract value EUR 1,8 billion). The new vessels are bigger (16 m longer, 17330 GT-tons larger, with 200 more cabins / 467 more passengers) in comparison to Seaview and Seaside . Newbuilds' deliveries were scheduled for 2021 (Seashore) and 2023 (Seascape). With Seaside EVO, MSC had a total investment of EUR 10,5 billion into 12 new vessels with scheduled deliveries by 2026.

The 4500-passenger "Seaside EVO" ship design is an enlarged version of MSC's Seaside-Class. Both classes were developed for year-round operations in warm climates. This explains signature features like large-sized outdoor areas, top-deck ropes course, 5-slide water park, 3x glass-floored catwalks, glass-walled (oceanview) elevators, wraparound Promenade Deck (lined with shops-bars-restaurants with both indoor-outdoor seating). Seaside-EVO ships have larger MSC Yacht Club (Suite-only complex), larger public areas, more outdoor whirlpools, more specialty restaurants with alfresco dining areas (on Promenade Deck 8), more staterooms.

MSC Seascape cruise ship

Among vessels' technological features are advanced water- and garbage treatment plants, latest-generation scrubbers (pollution control technology removing particulates some gases from ship's exhaust streams), optimized hull, anti-fouling paints (specialized underwater hull coating), advanced heat recovery system, LED lighting (throughout). The vessel is fully compliant with IMO's "Safe Return to Port" requirement (how long the cruise ship should remain safe for evacuation).

Seascape is also one of the "smart ships" series and part of MSC's EUR 13,6 billion (10-year / 2017-2027) fleet expansion program that includes 17 newbuilds - up to a combined fleet of 29 liners.

MSC Seascape is fitted with new technologies specifically designed to improve passengers' onboard digital experience. MSC partnered with Samsung to support NFC (near-field communication) technology enabling passengers to use digital devices (smartphones, cruise card, bracelets) to geolocate themselves (and their relatives, kids, travel companions), to access their staterooms or make onboard payments. Interactive screens throughout the ship allow real-time booking (cruise and tours) and making reservations (dining, spa, beauty treatments). Beacon technology sends location-based, customized notifications to passengers' phones as they move around the ship. Beacons are triggered whenever a connected device moves into their vicinity.

MSC Seascape Wiki

During MSC Seaside 's delivery ceremony (November 29, 2017), MSC announced an order for two "Seaside EVO" ships from Fincantieri (contract value EUR 1,8 billion). The new ships are 17,330 GT-tons larger, 16 m (52 ft) longer and with 467 more passengers ( capacity ) in comparison to the sisterships Seaview and Seaside. Deliveries were scheduled for 2021 May ( Seashore ) and 2022 November (Seascape).

In early-August 2018, MSC signed an agreement for EUR 1,5 billion (USD 1,74 billion) for both "Seaside EVO" shipbuilding projects. The financing was via a partnership with a syndicate of three lender banks (Unicredit, BNP Paribas, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti). Fully backing the credit line was the Italian export credit agency SACE SIMEST. With the addition of Seaside EVO ships, MSC had an unprecedented total investment of EUR 10,5 billion into 12 newbuilds with scheduled deliveries by 2027.

The vessel's keel-laying ceremony (aka coin ceremony) was held on June 24, 2021, at Fincantieri Monfalcone Shipyard (near Trieste, Italy ). The ceremony's godmothers (madrinas) were two employees - Silvia Bozzetto (Category Manager & Retail with MSC) and Jolette Vincenzi (Production Supervisor with Fincantieri). The godmothers placed 2 special edition coins under the keel block (hull's first block) for good fortune. The special event was attended by Pierfrancesco Vago (MSC's Executive Chairman) and Giuseppe Bono (Fincantieri's CEO).

The vessel (yard/hull number 6307) was launched/floated out from drydock on November 18, 2021. The ceremony was attended by Giuseppe Bono (Fincantieri) and Pierfrancesco Vago (MSC). Curiously, on the same day was officially named the sistership MSC Seashore . Seashore's christening was held at MSC Ocean Cay (Bahamas) , making it the ever-first official ship naming ceremony held on a private island.

Fun fact is that the MSC EVO shipbuilding project (1 unit construction) involves 10+ million manhours of construction works and ~4000 shipyard employees. The ship design features large play areas for children, Adventure Trail ropes course, an interactive aqua park with 5x waterslides, 3x glass-floored catwalks, Promenade Deck (at sea level) lined up with shops-bars-restaurants (with both indoor-outdoor seatings), glass-walled (sea-view) elevators.

The company Shores Global LLC provided all the vessels' outdoor wicker furniture (on passenger cabin balconies and poolside) or 3000+ pieces (deckchairs and sun loungers per ship). The company is a major cruise ship furniture supplier, offering consulting (fabrics and materials) and production process management.

The ship was officially delivered to MSC from Fincantieri on November 16, 2022. The delivery ceremony (held at Monfalcone yard) was attended by Matteo Salvini (since 2022 - Italy's  Deputy Prime Minister of Italy and Minister of Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility), Anna Maria Cisint (Monfalcone's Mayor), Massimiliano Fedriga (Friuli-Venezia Giulia's President), Admiral Nicola Carlone (Port Authorities' Commandant), Zoe Africa Vago (ship's godmother), Captain Roberto Leotta (ship’s Master), Pierfrancesco Vago (MSC), Gianluigi Aponte (MSC Group's Founder and Chairman), General Claudio Graziano (Chairman of Fincantieri's Board of Directors) and Pierroberto Folgiero (Fincantieri's CEO), Luigi Matarazzo (Fincantieri's General Manager Merchant Ships Division), Cristiano Bazzara (Monfalcone shipyard's Director).

MSC Seascape's christening ceremony was on December 7, 2022, held dockside at Manhattan Cruise Terminal in NYC (New York USA) . Untraditionally for MSC cruise ships, Seascape's godmother Sophia Loren (1934-born Italian film actress who named each new MSC liner since 2003) named the vessel virtually (via real-time live video streaming), while Alexa Aponte-Vago (daughter of Gianluigi Aponte/MSC Group’s founder and executive chairman) cut the ribbon and officially named the boat. The naming event was attended by 3000+ guests.

Seascape is MSC's first liner named in New York City. Starting in April 2023, the company plans to homeport at least one liner in NYC for year-round roundtrips leaving out of Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.
