Quality as standard with all our tents...

• The Safari tents are designed around a box-section galvanised steel frame which is cleverly hidden throughout the tents. We have a full Structural Engineers Report for BS codes and wind loads.
• The PVC roof and canvas walls are all heavy weight high-grade fabrics and ALL materials used in the construction of our safari tents meet BS fire retardant codes. See Technical Specifications
• Using heavy duty side-zips the front gables on all safari tents can be fully rolled up to open the entire tent front for your guests.
• All windows are fixed and have a canvas roll-up privacy blind as standard but can be upgraded to opening windows – this includes fixed insect mesh, roll-up clear PVC on the exterior and roll-up canvas privacy blind on the inside.
• Front porches at 2.25m are standard. With an option to add a 2.25m rear porch, ideal for housing the bathroom cabins.
• Roof linings (4oz ivory polyester) create a bright airy interior, are included in the base price and are fully detachable and washable.

Proven performance frames

We have worked closely with Structural Engineers to design a range of Safari Tents with excellent proven performance and offer advanced wind-load ratings to cope with our changeable weather. The Safari tents are rated to meet several relevant British Standard and European structural codes.

In addition Bond can also offer premium upgraded Safari Tents in all sizes which, in accordance with the Structural Engineers report offer additional performance for ‘Permanent Use Site-specific’ wind speeds.

We can in fact provide a recommendation based on UK postcodes to determine site-specific permanent use wind speeds at customers locations in conjunction with our Structural Engineers.

To that effect we do not offer interior furniture packages but instead encourage our clients to add their own style to their safari tents thereby creating a individual look which will give your location a strong visual identity. Luxury Safari Tent

Designed & manufactured at our gloucestershire factory, our popular luxury safari tent size, 5m x 11m or 6m x 11m interior space with 2.25m covered porch.

At 11m long this safari tent offers extra space, luxury and comfort and can easily sleep 8 or more. However, most clients opt for this size in order to maintain a level of luxury that includes more space & comfort.

The standard layout shown in the example floorplan shows the vast proportions throughout this safari tent. The cabin bed shown offers a second double bed and many clients use a sofa bed in the lounge area for added flexibility. As with all of our safari tents and other structures we only manufacture to order, and so full customisation is readily available. If you require a specific size, different door positions or window sizes just ask, many of our clients opt for a more bespoke approach to help differentiate their safari tents and set their location apart.

Both safari tents each have the added luxury of their own eco wood-fired Hot tub which have the most incredible views!  Warmed and ready for use on arrival these sumptuous wooden tubs are surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the Welsh countryside while being private from the watch of others. Watch the sunset with a glass of bubbly, gaze at the view or up at the stars and feel yourself unwind, soothing those aches and pains away.

Outside on the decking area, you can sit and relax in comfortable rattan seats and take in the beautiful panoramic view of the mid-Wales countryside and even catch a glimpse of the local steam train passing as well as the local wildlife, buzzards and red kites.

To the side of the lodge, we have created a fire pit/BBQ area where you can cook up some authentic food on the kadai BBQ.  All BBQ utensils are kept inside the lodge.

The Bedrooms

Ready for your unique glamping experience?

Got a question, what is the minimum stay, what are the check in days, what happens on arrival, how do we check in.

Please advise us of your intended arrival time and update us en-route. Your lodge will not be ready until 3pm. Please ensure you plan your journey to arrive no later than 6pm as we need time to show you how everything works.

When you arrive please come to the Reception and we will show you to your lodge. You can drive up to your lodge to unpack, but we then ask that you park your car in our designated car park area.

What do we need to bring?

We have thought of everything! Your safari tent is unlike a typical glamping pod, this luxury camping experience comes with all the bedding, a well-equipped kitchen, a fridge, towels and toiletries, we even leave you a luxury welcome basket to celebrate your stay.

All you need to bring is any food you wish to eat during your stay and of course, your swimwear for the luxurious hot tub, a pair of slip on shoes are great for walking to the tub too!

Do you supply logs for the fires?

We provide a basket of logs with each booking, however any extras can be purchased on site if needed.

How far apart are the tents?

At our retreat, we have taken great care to ensure that each safari tent offers a private and secluded experience. While the tents are located next to each other, we have intentionally planted an abundance of trees, shrubs, and bushes, along with strategically placed wooden screens, to create a natural barrier that enhances the privacy of each individual tent. These thoughtful design elements allow you to fully immerse yourself in the tranquillity of your own secluded oasis. You can relax and unwind with the peace of mind that your privacy is respected and cherished.

When you buy a safari tent, what could be easier than having it fitted with matching furniture ? Our furniture blends in perfectly with the luxurious appearance of our tents. We have furniture for all tastes in our extensive assortment. The brushed pinewood is free from splinters and has a dirt- and water-repellent coating so not only your tent, but also your furniture has a long lifespan. And we will gladly take everything out of your hands and arrange not only to have a fully furnished kitchen and bathroom installed but take care of the transportation and entire assembly of your tent.

We want you to be able to enjoy your safari tent for many years to come. That is why only the highest quality materials are good enough for our safari tents , and we are constantly looking for ways to improve our tents. The 100-mm wooden frames are twice as sturdy as the standard 80-mm frames. The wood we use is KOMO-certified sustainable and impregnated for an incredibly long lifespan. For the tent fabric, we use PolyCotton canvas . Our high-quality zips and unique end-couplings also contribute to our safari tents’ increased lifespan. Luxury Glamping in The Lake District

Our spacious Safari Tents in Cumbria contain one double bedroom and a second bedroom with four adult sized single bunks. There is also a bathroom with shower, kitchen and dining area.

The safari tents are located just a short distance from Ambleside and Windermere – the setting of the classic Swallows and Amazons. You will be in the perfect location to explore the most beautiful part of the National Park.

Both safari tents can accommodate a maximum of 6 adults.

Our glamping Safari Tents can be booked online for a minimum stay of 3 nights. Bookings can be made for arrival on Mondays or Fridays for anything up to a week.

We calculate the cost of your stay based upon the calendar of seasons shown below. Additionally, the longer you stay, the cheaper the nightly rate.

• 7 night stays, arrival on Monday or Friday.
• 2 and 3 night Weekend stays, arrival on Friday.
• 4 night mid-week stays, arrival on Monday.

Our Safari Tents tariff and prices are subject to seasonal change, the days of the week being booked and the duration of the booking being made. This makes it difficult to provide an accurate per-night tariff. Below are some examples to give an idea of costs.

• 7 nights in LOW season (green on calendar): £962.50
• 3 nights on the weekend in HIGH season (orange on calendar): £632.75
• 4 nights mid-week at the start of July: £481.25

Please note that we can only accept assistance dogs in our Safari Tents. Unfortunately no other pets will be permitted.

Please be aware that the Safari Tents are constructed from canvas. As such they may become a little chilly at night during the colder times of year. We advise that you wrap up warm at night for bookings early and late in the season!
