Sum 41 is an awesome band. Had the chance to see them live on a whim when a friend called me up several years ago and just so happened to have a spare ticket. At the time I'd heard several of their songs, but I was by no means a huge fan. Going to the show, the seats were close. I was surprised my friend declined my offer to pay for my half.

These dudes come across as super hyped, but that's the largest reason why I enjoyed this concert so much. You couldn't help but to feel the undiluted energy. It just radiated from the band and transferred over to the audience. Mosh pits galore ensued and I had two beers doused onto me. It was all good though. I laughed it off and just went ahead to embrace it, I jumped right into the center of the bigger one I spotted, as did my friend.

"Fat Lip" is a fave as it is with most fans, I believe. Live, the sound just pierces your soul and you can't help but sing along at the top of your lungs (even if you're totally sober). Made me feel like a teenager again. Really good times.

This band is in my top ten. I'd definitely go and see them again if given the chance. I also adore "Underclass Hero" and "Walking Disaster". While the vocals aren't super strong, their heart and passion definitely makes up for it. Love it.

Hi. I'm sure I would've loved seeing Sum 41 but actually Songkick when I went to buy my tickets of Alt-Tickets, I was given tickets to see With Confidence instead who were playing the same night and at same venue - Rock City, Nottingham. Honestly me and my friend were devastated to not see Sum 41, we were so excited and it was my friend's first concert, but With Confidence, Milestones, Broadside and Safe To Say were all very good so in the end it made up for it. But Songkick, why say you have tickets for Sum 41 then give me a link to With Confidence tickets? I was, and still am so confused by this. Anyways, I'm sure Sum 41 and Hollerado were great, but I don't know, I didn't see.

My favorite band of all time! The first time I got to see them was at a Chicago music festival and I got to meet them and it was a highlight of my life. They were so nice and hilarious. Then I got to meet them again at a tiny show in Dallas at the house of blues and they told stories from the road. Such down to earth guys. I got to be front row for that show and they just thrived in that small room it was such a special experience. They just never disappoint. Their old stuff is what we love and grew up on but their new stuff is just as good. Will always be their #1 fan. Hope to see them as many times as possible.

This was my third time seeing Sum 41 and they were absolutely fantastic! They never disappoint! The only thing I will say is that I found out after I left the concert that they came out for a second encore and played Pain for Pleasure. Probably around 80% of the people had left before then, so I assumed they were done after the first encore. I would just recommend that everyone really makes sure they are truly done before leaving. I also thoroughly enjoyed the openers, who were The Plot in You and The Amity Affliction. Sum 41 is great live, and I look forward to seeing them again and again.

Great concert last night!!! The pit was kinda horrible cause people get totally crazy. But the band was AWESOME! I've been waiting for so long and I don't regret anything! Songs like theirs are meant to be heard and shared at a concert!! I can't wait for the new album and the next concert, I'm definitely going!!

It was the best night of my life! While we were there jumping in Underclass Hero, we couldn't believe it! It was SUM 41!! It was Deryck! In the middle of the concert, Deryck stepped down from the stage to stay with the people!! It was awesome!' I have no words. The best night ever. ❤️ SUM 41

Knapp hinter Rise Against an 2. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Best concert i have ever been too! i managed to get to get to the front which was a full on mosh pit, but it was worth it. the crowd was so pumped and so was the band. you could see in their faces that they were so happy to be back on tour. Can't for new music and a new tour!

How to get tickets for Sum 41’s 2024 UK tour: presale, ticket prices and everything you need to know

The Canadian band are embarking on their farewell Tour of the Setting Sum this autumn

Annie McNamee

What is a successful music career? Making money from your songs? Having crowds sing your lyrics back at you? Spending decades playing venues across the world before embarking on one final swan song of a world tour?

Sum 41 have enjoyed more than 20 years of success, but all good things must come to an end. Last year, the rock group announced that they would be releasing one final album and going on one final tour before disbanding to pursue other projects.

Named Tour of the Setting Sum (we see what you did there, respect), Sum 41’s farewell tour will be hitting UK shores later this year. Tickets go on sale this week – we’ve got all the info you need to make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to say goodbye.

When are Sum 41 going on their UK farewell tour?

The band will be crossing the Atlantic this autumn for six nights in the UK, spanning October and November.

When do tickets go on sale?

General on-sale is happening this Friday (June 28) at 10am BST. You can buy tickets through Ticketmaster here , or through LiveNation here .

Depending on the city, you may also be able to buy tickets directly through your venue, so it’s also worth checking their website before Friday.

What’s the deal with presale?

There are quite a few different pre-sales which are slightly different between venues. We’ll try our best to get through them all, but this might take a moment so make sure you’re comfy. Maybe grab a coffee, or put some music on. Here we go:

Sum 41 artist presale: If you’re not already on this one, sorry, but you’ve missed it. You had to have pre-ordered the band's new album, Heaven :x: Hell, to be sent an access code. That sale started this morning (June 25) at 10am, and is ongoing until onsale on Friday.

Venue presales:  Each venue has their own unique presale website. Obviously, this is going to vary based on where you’re going to see the band. As a general rule these presales will begin on Wednesday June 26 at 10am, but check your venue’s website for specific details.

O2 and Three presales: O2 and Three’s presales will be available to customers only. Their presale codes will be accessible on your account online or via their respective mobile apps. Their presales are also happening on Wednesday June 26 at 10am.

Spotify presale: This is another one you may have already missed. Spotify selected certain top fans to be given access to their bespoke presale, so if you’re not a Sum 41 mega-fan you’ve probably missed the boat on this one. If you do have a code, this presale begins on Thursday June 27 at 10am BST.

LiveNation presale: This sale will be accessible to anyone who is a registered member of the ticket website LiveNation. You can do this for free. You can register here , but confusingly you will complete the purchase through Ticketmaster. At the time of the presale, which is Thursday June 27 at 10am, make sure you are logged into both Ticketmaster and LiveNation, and buy your tickets here .

How much are tickets for Sum 41?

Tickets for the show at London’s Wembley Arena are £69.45, but this will vary slightly between venues. In Glasgow’s OVO Hydro, they’re listed as between £48.25 and £64.15, and most venues are likely to be very similar to that in price. Good seated tickets are usually more than standing ones, so that's also something worth baring in mind.

What UK dates have been confirmed?

The Ontario rockers are set to play six dates in the UK. The dates are as follows:

  • October 26 – Leeds, First Direct Arena
  • October 27 – Glasgow, OVO Hydro
  • October 28 – Manchester, Co-op Arena
  • October 30 – Nottingham, Motorpoint Arena
  • October 31 – London, OVO Wembley Arena
  • November 2 – Cardiff, Utilita Arena

Who is the support act for Tour of the Setting Sum?

Hailing from LA, punk-rock group The Bronx will join Sum 41 for their UK, EU and some North American dates this year.

Pop-punk enthusiasts were left heartbroken earlier this year when Sum 41 announced they would be disbanding after the release of their final album Heaven :x: Hell. And now, UK fans can brace themselves for "The Tour of the Setting Sum", as dates have been unveiled for their farewell tour across some of the nation's most renowned venues. And this exciting string of tour dates includes a night at London's Wembley Arena .

Deryck Whibley expressed his excitement about the upcoming tour, stating: "We are really excited to announce shows in the UK and Europe later this year."

Sum 41 Announce UK Tour Dates

Sum 41 have heading back to the UK this summer.

Sum 41 Announce UK Tour Dates

Hot on the heels of their first new single in three years , metallic pop-punk stars Sum 41 have announced a set of UK tour dates. The band will play four shows across the UK this June in Exeter, Leicester, Glasgow and Manchester – just days after the release of their upcoming seventh album, Order In Decline.

The record was written following three years of touring, during which Deryck Whibley observed a multitude of division and social turmoil. “The last thing I wanted to do was write a social or political protest record, and Order In Decline is not that,” said Deryck. “It’s also very hard not to have feelings about everything that’s going on in the world.”

Speaking about the upcoming shows, Deryck added: "We are doing a bunch of large festivals this summer and we thought it would be fun to do a few intimate shows - the UK felt like the perfect place for that!"

So stop wondering if you're still waiting and see Sum 41 live at one of the dates below:

23 Exeter, Castle Sessions 24 Leicester, De Montfort Hall 25 Glasgow, O2 Academy 26 Manchester, O2 Victoria Warehouse

Sum 41

Plus Special Guests: The Bronx

  • Thursday 31 Oct / 2024 Door: 18:00

"Looking back at the band’s storied 27 year career, Sum 41 has firmly cemented their place in rock history with over 15 million records sold worldwide, multiple Billboard Charting releases, a Grammy Award nomination, 2 Juno Awards (7 nominations), a Kerrang! Award in 2002, multiple Alternative Press Music Awards, and countless other accolades."

Sum 41 never fit in. They didn’t give a shit or try to either. Instead, they came out of the gate swinging with a signature style punctuated by pop punk singalongs and hard-hitting heavy metal proficiency. As a result, they’ve cast an unmatched shadow over popular culture, tracing back to their turn-of-the-century domination of TRL up to a rapturous set at the inaugural When We Were Young Festival . Within the span of a year, Iggy Pop tapped them for a collaboration, and they paid a fiery tribute to Metallica for MTV Icon . Their music has surged through major franchises, ranging from Spider-Man to American Pie and Bring It On . They ignited a triptych of classic albums—the platinum-certified All Killer No Filler [2001], gold-certified Does This Look Infected? [2002], and gold-certified Chuck [2004]—and persisted in their second decade with just as much piss and vinegar on the likes of 13 Voices [2016] and Order In Decline [2019]. Slant hailed the latter as “a hell of fun ride , ” while GQ applauded how “the band made it all the way back . ” After selling 15 million albums worldwide, garnering two Juno Awards, a Kerrang! Award, and a handful of Alternative Press Music Awards, receiving a GRAMMY ® nomination, and packing venues everywhere, they’re going out with a bang—and on their own terms. Disregarding the rules, ignoring expectations, and following their instincts once again, the band—Deryck Whibley [vocals, guitar], Dave Baksh [guitar], Jason McCaslin [bass], Tom Thacker [guitar], and Frank Zummo [drums]—deliver a fittingly fiery final statement in the form of the double-LP, Heaven :x: Hell [Rise Records]. Heaven is 10 tracks of snarling high energy pop punk, while Hell consists of ten heavy metal anthems spiked with fret-burning solos, thrashing riffs, and fist-pumping hooks. It’s big, it’s ballsy, and it’s their boldest and best body of work to date.

Sum 41’s most recent album,  ‘Order In Decline’ , came out in 2019. Earlier this year, Whibley revealed that  the band had completed a new double record called ‘Heaven And Hell’ .

Speaking about the ‘Heaven’ half of the two-disc project, Whibley explained: “Some weird nostalgia kicked in because of the pandemic. A lot of other people were retreating to things that made them feel good in the past.

“It all made sense to me why pop-punk is coming back: it’s feel-good music. There’s something that’s happy about it. Something young and innocent and free.”

The band’s guitarist Dave ‘Brownsound’ Baksh recently revealed that he received treatment for a cancerous tumour , but said he is now cancer-free.

Sharing a lengthy message on Instagram, the musician told fans that he noticed a lump in March and had it checked out. “Within two weeks I went through surgery in order to get rid of a tumour that ended up being #cancer,” Baksh said.

Baksh concluded his post by asking his fans and followers to support him and his wife as they take part in the  Relay For Life  fundraising event on June 11.  You can make a donation here .

Sum 41 Announces Final Tour Dates and Last-Ever Show Ahead of Their Separation as a Band

The band will embark on the Tour of the Setting Sum across the globe for much of 2024

will sum 41 tour uk

Travis Shinn

Sum 41 is officially saying farewell.

After the pop-punk icons revealed via social media in May 2023 that they were going their separate ways following the release of their upcoming album Heaven :x: Hell , the band has officially announced their final tour dates — including their last-ever performance.

The Canadian group featuring Deryck Whibley , Dave Baksh, Jason McCaslin, Tom Thacker and Frank Zummo shared they’ll be setting out on the Tour of the Setting Sum for much of 2024, and will play their last show in Toronto on Jan. 30, 2025, on Tuesday. Throughout the tour, they'll be saying goodbye to fans across the globe, as they're performing stints across Asia, North America and Europe.

Sum41 Tour of the Setting Sun poster

After the “In Too Deep” band sets out on the Asian leg of their tour in March and plays a festival in Mexico at the end of the month, they’ll embark on the first portion of their U.S. tour starting on April 19 with a concert in Omaha, Nebraska. During the first U.S. leg, the group will hit major cities like Boston, New York City, Atlanta, Nashville and Philadelphia, before eventually wrapping up in Norfolk, Virginia on May 19.

The Grammy-nominated group will take their show across Europe through much of the summer, then complete their North American dates starting Aug. 1. From then until early October, the hitmakers will play in cities like San Francisco, Miami and Los Angeles, among others, concluding on Oct. 5 in Los Angeles.

Never miss a story — sign up for  PEOPLE's free daily newsletter  to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from juicy celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.

They'll be bringing along L.A.-based ska band The Interrupters as support.

While Sum 41 was originally supposed to play their last gig on Nov. 23 in Nanterre, France, since the concert at the 35,000-capacity Paris La Défense Arena sold out, they’ve since announced another performance. On Jan. 30, 2025, the punk rockers will take to the stage together for the last time at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena.

To announce the Tour of the Setting Sum, the “Fat Lip” band shared a nostalgic teaser featuring fun clips from throughout their career that spans nearly three decades to Instagram .

Fans can expect Sum 41 to play both their classic pop-punk tunes, as well as new music, on their final tour, as it comes off the heels of the release of their last record. Heaven :x: Hell , their eighth studio album and final effort together, is due out March 29 (via Rise Records).

"Being in Sum 41 since 1996 brought us some of the best moments in our lives. We are forever grateful to our fans both old and new, who have supported us in any way," the band wrote in a statement upon the announcement of their separation. "It is hard to articulate the love and respect we have for all of you and we wanted you to hear this from us first.”

"Sum 41 will be disbanding," the note continued, with the group going on to tease their last album and their 2023 tour dates.

"For now, we look forward to seeing all of you skumf---ers on the road and are excited for what the future will bring for each of us," added the band. "Thank you for the last 27 years of Sum 41."

This year, the All Killer No Filler musicians prepared for their separation and began saying farewell to fans by setting out on the road with The Offspring and Simple Plan .

Their frontman, 43, also experienced health complications in fall 2023 when he was hospitalized with pneumonia in September. Whibley’s wife, model Ariana Cooper Whibley, revealed the news on social media at the time, then confirmed days later that the singer — who previously experienced kidney and liver failure in 2014 due to alcohol intoxication — was discharged after “responding well to treatments.”

Tickets for the U.S. dates for the Tour of the Setting Sum go on sale this week. They kick off with a series of presales, including the artist and Citi presales, which are available now, the BandsInTown, Spotify, Live Nation and Ticketmaster presales on Thursday at 10 a.m. ET and venue presales on Thursday at 10 a.m. local time. All remaining tickets will go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. local time on www.sum41.com/tour .
