GTA V: 10 Best Locations To Visit Once You’ve Finished The Game

GTA V has tons to see and explore. These locations are perfect for players looking for something to do after the game.

Everybody was stunned in June when Rockstar announced that, a huge seven years after Grand Theft Auto V first released, the game would be coming out for the PlayStation 5. Everybody had been hoping to get another instalment of the controversial and popular series but, instead, it seems like people will have to contend with roaming around the gorgeous Los Santos for a little while longer yet.

Many completed the game the first time around, and the second. But that’s not to say that there’s a shortage of things to do once you’ve secured that 100 per cent achievement. So we’ll now list 10 locations you have to check out.

At first glance, you wouldn’t expect the Los Santos sea to contain much. The odd shark, a few spaceship parts and that’s about it. However, there’s a whole world worth exploring underwater - and we recommend acquiring the submarine in order to make this alot easier.

Whether it be the crashed Merryweather Cargo Plane, a UFO, a nuclear submarine or a secret hatch, it's definitely worth venturing into the water to look around. Just don't drown - and don't get eaten by a shark.

9 Mount Chiliad

At the opposite end of the spectrum is the sublime Mount Chiliad. If you've completed the game, but not taken the time to grab a cable car up or fly up to the top of the landmark, then you don't know what you're missing.

It's at the top of the mountain you can really take in the gorgeous sights all around you. It's particularly magnificent to look at on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC and you're able to make out the tall Los Santos skyscrapers from miles and miles away. We recommend travelling there safely because, if you lose your footing, it's a very long way down.

8 Galileo Observatory

While we enjoy a good rampage like any other Grand Theft Auto player, once you've finished the game you'll soon find that gets a tad tedious and repetitive. And that's why we recommend checking out the Galileo Observatory, which gives you a chance to admire all the scenery in front of you.

A mission involving Michael De Santa takes place here but it doesn't give you time to explore. There always seems to be loads of fancy cars just waiting to be broken in to so, if you need a new set of wheels, it's worth taking a trip there for that alone. If not, pay a dollar and use the telescope.

7 The Funfair

Chances are, you've been to the Los Santos beach already. It's a great place to pick up a jet-ski, buy a mask or just chill out and sunbathe (not that you'll get any colour). But did you know the rides at the funfair are actually playable?

Because it's not a hobby you can do with a friend, you can be forgiven for not knowing. For a low fee you can take a rollercoaster ride and just sit back, do your thing as one of the three playable characters enjoys the ride. However, in all honesty, they'd probably enjoy it more than you.

6 The Altruist Cult

You’ve most likely given the Altruist Cult a prisoner or two during your Grand Theft Auto adventures. But, if you give them a certain amount, then things can take a sudden twist.

The cult will turn on you as Trevor instead, attempting to feast on your most-likely mangled insides. You can either choose to let them kill you or fight back and we recommend the latter. The cult’s base is the perfect place for you to engage in a shootout and it’s full of weaponry for you to pick up and collect.

5 Fort Zancudo

If you’ve not tried getting into Fort Zancudo, then you’ve missed out big time. It’s extremely difficult to get near any of the helicopters, fighter jets and tanks on the base given the soldiers on site. But, if you use the Invincibility Cheat, then everything becomes easier.

Only recent we did this and climbed all the way to the top of the control tower, taking a selfie as Franklin. The compound is full of mysteries and easter eggs and is definitely a hotspot we’d recommend.

4 Vinewood Boulevard

It feels a little bit dodgy writing this but, if you’re in the mood for a big killing spree, then it’s worth just loitering around Hollywood Boulevard.

This is the most-populated area in the game and, now you’ve got the story out of the way, it’s pretty fun to do. People will assemble in their masses, just waiting for you to embark on your villainous rampage. It’s also good to check out because it looks near-identical to it’s Los Angeles counterpart, the Hollywood Boulevard.

In Grand Theft Auto IV , you were able to check out the prison with relative ease. However, perhaps realising that was a mistake, the bigwigs at Rockstar decided to make entering the Los Santos penitentiary a lot more difficult.

If you’re able to enter the premises, you’ll immediately accumulate a five star wanted level and have guards, and other police officers, firing at you. It’s a creepy place to walk around but it’s worth the hassle given the sense of achievement you get just for staying alive. Just make sure to have a means of transport on your person.

2 The Airport

For a long time, we thought the airport was just a place to pick up some cook planes and let off some steam in your super fast cars. But that’s not actually the case.

While you can’t enter the airport itself like you could in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City , you can still enter a secret hanger that contains a vending machine. If you’re a fan of secrets and easter eggs it’s definitely one to give a go. If not, just use the airport as your playground anyway.

1 National Office of Security Enforcement

At first glance, the National Office of Security Enforcement looks like your bang average building. Nothing special on the outside and nothing, whatsoever, on the inside. Yet if you head to the summit, you’ll find something worth taking.

And that’s a buzzer helicopter, complete with guns and rockets for you to fire. You can take this back to your hanger and use it another time or just go on a spree right away. Either way, the choice is yours.

In this GTA 5 Vehicles Database you can find the complete list of cars and vehicles featured in both Story Mode and GTA Online, across the entire history of Grand Theft Auto V for all platforms (PC, PS5, PS4, PS3, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One & Xbox 360).

However, not all vehicles are available in every edition of the game: the Single Player mode of GTA 5 and the original PS3/360 versions have stopped receiving new vehicles after the "Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2" update on July 8, 2015. All the GTA 5 new cars and vehicles released in subsequent updates have been exclusive to GTA Online, and only PS4/XB1/PC.

How To Get Vehicles in GTA 5 (Story Mode)

In GTA 5 Story Mode, the three protagonists ( Michael , Franklin , and Trevor ) already have their own personal cars and motorcycles, which will stick with you throughout the course of the game.

In addition, more cars and vehicles can be purchased from the in-game Internet or, of course, can be found and stolen from the street . You can click on each vehicle in our database to see all the locations where you can find them on the map.

Once acquired, you can store your vehicles inside the Safehouses and Garages owned by the protagonists Michael, Franklin, and Trevor. Purchased boats are stored at the Puerto Del Sol Marina, while owned aircraft will appear at LSIA Hangar & Vespucci Helipad (for Michael & Franklin), and Sandy Shores Airfield (for Trevor).

However, if you're wondering how to save cars in GTA 5, be careful with your beloved GTA 5 cars: unlike GTA Online where vehicles have insurance, purchased GTA 5 cars in Single Player cannot be insured :

If a purchased vehicle is destroyed, it's gone forever and you will have to buy it again.
If you lose or abandon a purchased vehicle on the street, it will end up in the Impound Lot at the local police station, where you can get it back for a fee of $250. The Impound Lot will only keep the two most recent driven vehicles .

Due to this mechanic, rather than customizing acquired vehicles, it's a better investment to upgrade your character's personal vehicles, which are permanent and will always respawn at the protagonist's safehouses.

How To Buy Cars in GTA 5 Online

Similar to single-player, GTA Online vehicles can be purchased from the various in-game websites, which offer a much wider selection (also thanks to years of DLC vehicles added to the game).

You can also steal several low-end GTA Online vehicles from the street and obtain them this way, but the high-end vehicles cannot be stored in your garage if stolen. Also, some special vehicles are obtained as Bonus Reward for completing certain endeavors.

To buy GTA Online cars and vehicles, simply use the in-game phone and select "Internet". Then, under "Travel and Transport", you will find several dealers websites to choose from:

So if you purchased an expensive vehicle from the in-game websites you will be able to sell them at Los Santos Customs via the "Sell" option and get back 60% of what you spent in total (including applied customizations).

In GTA Online you can also steal certain stolen vehicles from the street and sell them directly to Los Santos Customs, but this is only possible for low-end vehicles, and they sell only for 10% of their market value. Also, it's important to note that some vehicles in GTA Online cannot be sold after you purchase them: you cannot sell Pegasus Vehicles, Facility Vehicles, and other Special Vehicles.

Vehicles Customization in GTA 5 & GTA Online

In both GTA 5 Store Mode and GTA Online, vehicles can be upgraded with a wide range of available customization. To customize cars and vehicles in Grand Theft Auto V, you can simply head to Los Santos Customs (or to its Blaine County equivalent "Beeker's Garage").

The LSC mod shops offer both aesthetics and performance upgrades. These include modifications to the Car Body, Engine, Brakes, Lights, Suspension, Wheels, Transmission, Windows, as well as the ability to Respray the vehicle, Turbo Tuning, add Armor, even add Explosives and Weapons in some cases, and a lot more.

Some vehicles have unique upgrades available, while some (such as Pegasus Vehicles and Boats) cannot be customized. The cost of the modifications usually depends on the class/tier of the vehicle: the higher-end the vehicle is, the higher the cost.

In addition to Los Santos Customs , in GTA Online players can also take advantage of other mod shops and customization options:

Benny's Original Motor Works: customize certain Lowriders and muscle cars with unique modifications, such as hydraulics, custom stereos, and interior mods
Hangar Workshop: customize Aircraft vehicles (Helicopters & Planes)
Mobile Operations Center / Avenger: customize select Weaponized Vehicles
Bunker Workshop: customize the Mobile Operations Center and the Anti-Aircraft Trailer

Also, some GTA Online Properties offer the ability to add an in-house Vehicle Workshop that allows you to fully customize all your vehicles inside the property itself, without having to go to Los Santos Customs or Benny's. These include:

In GTA Online there are 738 vehicles at the player's disposal. But car enthusiasts and collectors may be wondering, how many cars can you own in GTA Online at the same time?

The answer depends on the amount of GTA Online properties you own, as each property comes with one or more garages that can store a certain amount of cars and vehicles.

If you acquired all the possible properties and garages, the amount of GTA cars and vehicles you can own is staggering:

As of May 2024 , you can own a total of 450+ vehicles stored across all your GTA Online Properties. The number doubles up to 900+ if you consider you can have two characters in GTA Online. The number includes all your slots for Personal Vehicles, Pegasus Vehicles, Personal Aircraft, Special Vehicles, Command Centers, and more.

It’ll be a good day when GTA VI releases on PC , as I’m certain modders are going to have a field day picking it apart and seeing what can be done with it.

That was the story with GTA V when it first received a PC port, as like most Rockstar Games the Xbox and PlayStation versions of the game came first.

Modders have done some pretty impressive things with the game over the years, so much that it almost makes up for the fact that Rockstar has done little with the game outside of adding new content to GTA Online .

One stunning creation is called Windy City , a map expansion mod you can download right now for free.

Simply put Windy City is an original, playable area based on real-life Chicago, and it’s perfect for those who’ve gotten a bit bored of the Los Santos sights and sounds.

It’s obviously not as advanced as what Rockstar would create but it has plenty to see, including some of Chicago’s famous landmarks, like Trump Tower, the Millenium Park and more.

The expansion even has working traffic and NPCs to make the city a bit more lifelike, and there are a few stores to visit as well.

Now it’s not exactly the remade Liberty City or Vice City that fans might have wanted, but it’s better than nothing, which again is what Rockstar has given us in terms of single-player expansions.

The GTA V Windy City mod can be downloaded and played right now, and it’s occasionally updated with new additions so it’s worth checking back in from time to time to see what progress has been made.

# Will I get banned from GTA:O for playing FiveM?

Nope! FiveM does not interact with the Rockstar Online Services other than to validate your game copy the first time you launch it. This validation emulates the game's interaction, and can not be detected by Rockstar. FiveM also doesn't modify your game files at all, even when downloading server assets, so you don't have to do anything to switch between FiveM and GTA:O.

# Why are you asking me for login information?

We need to do this to check if you actually own GTA V, when our automatic validation fails. This data will only be sent to the Rockstar Social Club services, and is not transmitted to us, or any other party.

# Can I play FiveM on my console?

Unfortunately, offering FiveM on any game consoles is not feasible, since FiveM uses advanced interoperability mechanisms only available on the PC platform. Furthermore, FiveM relies on the PC platform being open to developers without requiring any approval from the platform owner.

# Will OneSync require me to redo my server code?

No, all your existing scripts will still work with the game when OneSync is released, with minor changes to support higher player counts. Of course, OneSync will enable new, better ways of doing certain things you do in your scripts, so you might want to take advantage of those when they're released.

# My FiveM crashes, what should I do?

You should post a topic on the forums with the problems you are experiencing. Please make sure to provide all information requested in the error format , so we can help you better.

# What does the M stand for?

Modifications, not multiplayer. FiveM provides both a singleplayer as multiplayer experience. This allows players to use our features in singleplayer as well.

Rockstar Games Is Seemingly Preparing To Share GTA 6 Screenshots

It seems that Rockstar Games is preparing to show off some new screenshots of GTA 6.
Not only has it cleared out its Instagram, which it previously did before the game's reveal, but it has also updated its website to include a page for GTA 6.
This now-deleted page also suggested that we're going to be getting new screenshots soon, which could release before the Take-Two investor call next week.

An update to the Rockstar Games website suggests that several new screenshots for GTA 6 are going to be shared in the near future, likely before Take-Two 's investor call.

Ever since Grand Theft Auto 6 was finally revealed late last year and confirmed to be releasing at some point in 2025 , the one question on every GTA fan's mind has been the same - when are we going to be seeing it again ? We're nearly halfway through 2024 now and haven't heard a peep from Rockstar Games, but that looks like it's about to change.

The Rockstar Leak Highlights The All-Consuming Nature Of Live Games

Next week on May 16, Take-Two Interactive is set to hold its next investor call and, as has been the case in the past, that usually means we can expect some sort of news beforehand for some of its biggest games. To top it all off, Rockstar recently archived a bunch of posts on its Instagram, suggesting that it's going to be showing off something new soon.

The last time Rockstar cleared out its Instagram was just before the release of the first GTA 6 trailer.

It Looks Like GTA 6 Screenshots Are On The Way

That was already some pretty substantial evidence that something GTA 6 was coming this way soon, but there's even more fuel to be added to the fire. As highlighted by Twitter user GameRollGTA , Rockstar recently added several mentions of GTA 6 to the code of its website's interface, including mentions of screenshots (known as screens within the site's code) and the cover art.

The above tweet from GTAVI_Countdown shows that the change was actually noticeable on the site, as the newly-created page for GTA 6 shows off a section that includes several screenshots to go along with the cover art potentially being revealed. As of the time of writing, the update has been removed , so it's impossible to see the "screens" section of the page, but several Twitter users have confirmed seeing it.

Will We See More Of GTA 6 Soon?

Considering Take-Two's investor call is set to happen next week, it does seem very likely that we're going to get some kind of announcement for GTA 6 just before it takes place. The website update seems to indicate that it's just going to show off screenshots, but considering how long we've all been using the same key art and images from the trailer, that's far from a bad thing.

A reliable insider recently reported that the claims that GTA 6 has been internally delayed are "overblown" , giving us all some hope that we'll see it again in 2024.
