Went on a tour last night with a large group that filled the vehicle for a bar crawl. We were told to arrive early to sign the waiver (which we didn't do because it's hard to get 15 people in one place early ) so we filled it out once we were seated and then we were off! We made two stops. The first was to a restaurant/bar who didn't seem thrilled to see us (that's a different review though) and the second on South Street at Fat Tuesdays. Our tour guides were fun and very personable. The group had a great time and we finished at the same place we started, which just happens to be Big Ass Slices Bar and Grill so a friend and I grabbed a slice and a drink. I do wish that there were drinks or snacks provided on the vehicle. It would have made it more personal and enjoyable. The website doesn't share much in the way of details (I didn't know we could bring our own snacks/water). But despite that, great experience.

Went on a Big Red Pedal Tour with a large group and had a great time. All of the guys were really accommodating and patient because dealing with adults can be a pain in the butt sometimes. Overall it was a great experience and YES you DO have to pedal. LOL!

We had an awesome time ! Opted to try something different for my birthday this year and I was not disappointed. Myself and 4 gfs signed up for the old city pub crawl on Friday May, 26 at 6:15 and we had the bike completely to ourselves. The tour we picked started off at Silence Dogood's Tavern, where we got our stickers, pizza from Big Ass Pizza and a round. That pizza was awesome and so were the pizza tots! Our tour guides (Jess and Dominic I believe) were awesome and we'd definitely do this again. Tip definitely buy the individual tickets ! Not worth it to pay for the whole bike at $375. We all bought the individual for $31 each with 5 of us and we still had the bike to ourselves. Lucky break I guess.

We received a text message an hour before our historic bike tour notifying us that it was cancelled. When we expressed frustration, we were told that there was an automated email sent the day prior with a disclaimer (suggesting the company was not in the wrong) -- however, the automated email a day prior actually just confirmed the time and location of our tour. We sent a screenshot of it to the customer service rep (Zach), who didn't acknowledge the error or the lack of notice. So graciously though he offered to move us to a later tour "free of charge" (that wasn't even the same type of tour we had booked! And we had to find out on our own from the website that it was a PUB CRAWL).... I'm sorry- what? free of charge? You cancelled our historic bike tour. Notified us at the last minute. Tried to fill slots on a tour we had NO interest in being on.. what, just so you didn't have to refund our money? And oh by the way, he wouldn't answer our call for an hour until after the cancellation text. We absolutely got screwed by the lack of notice and would have planned our trip differently - by enjoying our vacation longer prior to returning to philly or by booking with a different company. Zach offered to have the owner call us, which we agreed to... well, I still haven't heard from the owner. I'm waiting.

Did this for my 25th birthday and we all had so much fun! We did the Midtown village 12pm tour! It took 10 minutes for us to all sign the waiver and we were off. We were scheduled to go to Plough of the Stars, Rotten Ralphs, and Top Tomato. We were all given stickers to wear and assumed that each bar would have specials or an area for us to sit. Rotten Ralphs was very rude and made it obvious they didn't want us there, granted it was our last stop and we were all tipsy, we didn't even end up staying for one drink. Plough of the stars seemed a little to fancy for us but still got a drink. Top tomato was the only bar that was pretty empty and was very welcoming. All in all, had an amazing birthday but would of liked better accommodations at the bars we were going to!

Photo of Amy R.

My boyfriend and I and a group of our friends did the South Street pedal tour for our birthdays last weekend. We had a good time and our guides were a lot of fun but there were a few things we were disappointed by. First, we chose the Midtown Village pedal tour. However, upon looking at the website to see the list of bars that tour goes to, we were confused because one of them was permanently closed. We decided to switch to the South Street tour instead since we knew the bars on that list were open and knew what we could expect. The South Street tour was a few dollars extra per person, but went to an extra bar (total of 4 bars listed instead of 3 like most other tours), so we felt it was worth it. Once we were on the tour, we didn't go to the extra bar at all. The website lists JJ Bootlegger's (starting point), Paddywhack's, Manny Brown's and Las Vegas lounge for the south street tour. We only went to the first three and weren't taken to Las Vegas Lounge at all. We felt a little ripped off since we thought we were paying for an extra bar, but didn't get that. Overall we still had fun, but I wish the website would have been more updated so that we truly knew what we were paying for and what we could expect on our ride.

Photo of Brenae L.

Overall, a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon with decent drink specials. Each of the bars we visited were just empty enough that it was easy to find a table but not so empty that we were the only people in the bar. Our tour guide was super personable but not the best DJ, though, she was open to song suggestions and ideas. Our bike wasn't totally full so she jumped in to "help" pedal. That said, the tour is definitely motorized so you don't really need to pedal. Pro tip: bring a bottle of water if it's a warm day.

Having a summer birthday has its ups and downs- like being one of the last of your friends to turn 21 (cons) but also getting to do a fun outdoor activity like this (pros). I was looking for something fun and unique to do for my 21st birthday which happened to fall on a Monday night. My parents had previously done a Big Red Pedal tour before and loved it so we decided to do this! My mom planned it and was very impressed with how easy it was as well as the service from Big Red Pedal Tours. The tour we picked started off at Silence Dogood's Tavern, where we got our stickers, pizza from Big Ass Pizza, and our first of many rounds of drinks. The bike seats 15 people, 3 of which are a bench in the back and 2 others don't have pedals (so 5 lucky people don't have to bike!!) The staff onboard the bike were awesome- the lady let us request songs/playlists and the waiver was an easy process (iPad signature), the driver was really great too. Be warned-the bike is no joke, it really is man-powered so expect to work up a bit of a sweat while pedaling from place to place. We made stops at Irish Pub and McGillans- both of which were great. They weren't super crowded because it was a monday night but there were still people out since it was during the summer. Honestly I don't remember the whole night but that's what a 21st birthday is all about! All I know was that the big red pedal tour was a blast and that jury duty the next morning was a little rough!

I went for a bachelorette party, there was a total of 7 of us, and we had an awesome time which is why I would give it four stars. If I wasn't taking in the fun we had I would probably give it a 3. Since our group wasn't big enough for the whole bike another group joined us and they weren't very social and didn't engage much. Upfront we pedaled for almost an hour to get to the first bar and we're all super hot and sweaty. I'm was nice though that was they had drink specials. One of our main complaints was that we wished we would have gotten to go to more than two bars. It was nice we got to chose songs but I would have like the Pedal Bike employees to be more engaged.

We only had a relatively short time in Phily so wanted to see as much as possible. The hop on hop off bus tour was fantastic... we didn't even hop off. Our guide Warren was amazing - so knowledgeable and just a really great guy. Would recommend this tour to anyone in town.

Overwhelmingly satisfied with each department of this company. The women at the desk of the buses' starting point were very friendly and approachable, they didn't stalk us down the sidewalk for attention. The bus came at the exact time of when they said the bus would. And was prompt at each stop as well. The tour guides were very entertaining and kept the bus at a great speed for some great photo taking. We lost our wallet in the bus and contacted the office. They got right to work with going through each bus thoroughly to confirm if they found it. At first they did not but that did not stop them from continuing to look. They went through the other bus that we came back on from and found it there almost halfway through the day. Called us right away and made arrangements to send it over to our address. All I can say is they went above and beyond to make sure they covered every ground. That shows extreme loyal customer service. Can't wait to go on again!

Fantastic. Best way to see the city. I brought my mother and her best friend to Philly as a Mothers day gift. They are both in their 70s. Walking long distances is not a good option for them. Tour company had a shuttle pick us up in front of our hotel and drop us at the starting point for bus tour. We did the 2 day option which worked out perfect. 1st day we pretty much just rode the loop to see where all the sites were and get a lay for the land. 2nd day we got off at the specific places we wanted to spend more time touring. Hopped back on and back to hotel. Would highly recommend this tour. The ladies commented several times on what a wonderful time they had and how much of the city they were able to see by doing this bus tour. We are already planning our next trip.

Me and my girlfriend had a fun time on this bus tour, all the guides were informative but we especially loved earnest allot as he knew alot and was funny and knew alot, especially movie landmarks which I loved alot!!! Definitely will take this tour again if given the chance too.

We were only in Philadelphia one night and two days so we decided to do a bus tour to save time. We loved this tour! Warren was our guide, he was well informed and had a comical delivery that spiced it up. We saw several things that we would not have known about or had time to see on our own. I would highly recommend this company!

Had a wonderful Saturday afternoon with out of town guests. Even though I grew up in Philadelphia, the tour had some very unique facts about the town I was never aware of. Our tour guide, Alexa, was a very informative and interactive host. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who will be visiting the Center City area of Philadelphia. Their main start location is Old City, but if you want to hop on and off to see some sites, you can do this too.

Want to see the phillies play in london this weekend there's still time, aaa says.

WPVI logo

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The league-leading Philadelphia Phillies just wrapped up a three-game sweep over the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday and improved to 44-19 overall as they head overseas for the MLB's London Series.

If you're still looking to travel across the pond, there's still time.

AAA says travel advisors are getting calls for last-minute getaways in London to attend the games against the New York Mets this weekend.

Experts say last-minute travelers can expect to pay between $800 to $1,000 to fly, and hotels are currently available for $100-$300 per night, plus tax and fees.

The games will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are still available on MLB.com or AAA.com.

What to know about the world tour

Both games will take place at London Stadium within Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, East London, UK.

This is the third time in the past five years the MLB has brought America's pastime to London Stadium.

The Chicago Cubs took on the St. Louis Cardinals in 2023 and the inaugural series featured the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox in 2019.

FILE - The New York Yankees, left, and the Boston Red Sox lineup for the national anthem before a baseball game in London on June 30, 2019.

Traveling to London Stadium?

There will be no general parking at the stadium. It is recommend that all ticket holders use public transportation. However, there will be limited parking for Blue (disability) Badge holders. Blue Badge parking passes can be purchased through London Stadium's website .

For more questions on what you can bring inside, click here.

What time are the games?

Saturday's game will be held at 1:10 p.m. EST (6:10 p.m. London time) and Sunday's game will start at 10:10 a.m. EST (3 p.m. London time).

What's the forecast in London?

There will be some sun and clouds in the forecast, with a high of 63 degrees on Saturday. It will be mostly sunny on Sunday morning, with a high of 55 degrees.

Trainer's room

Phillies SS Trea Turner will travel with the team to London as he recovers from a strained left hamstring. Turner had started all 30 games this season and was hitting .343 with two homers, 10 doubles, nine RBIs and 10 stolen bases.

Manager Rob Thomson said Turner was "pretty close" to returning near his mid-June target date.

OF Brandon Marsh will not travel to London as he recovers from a mildly strained right hamstring.

Starting pitchers

Ranger Suárez is on track to start Saturday against the Mets after he took a comebacker on his pitching hand in his last start.

Taijuan Walker is expected to start Sunday's game.

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Ranger Suárez works against the Colorado Rockies in the first inning of a baseball game Sunday, May 26, 2024, in Denver.

That's how it's soon going to be come June in one Bucks County municipality as it begins handing out citations for running red lights on camera at two busy intersections.

Bensalem police warned drivers this week that the 60-day grace period for red light camera enforcement in all directions at the Street and Knights roads intersection and the northbound and southbound directions of U.S. Route 1 at Old Lincoln Highway, will end at 12:01 a.m. on June 1, 2024.

"If you commit a red light violation on June 1 and beyond, the vehicle's owner will receive a civil violation in the mail for $100," Bensalem police wrote on social media .

"This civil violation does NOT affect your driving record, insurance rates, or CDL status," police noted when they announced the red light program.

Bensalem Township leaders said they selected the intersections because they have the largest number of crashes during the past five years.

Police have issued more than 7,500 warnings over the past couple months, but the $100 tickets start being issued this weekend.
