How does a charter compare to a regular sightseeing tour.

Sightseeing tours are on a set schedule and route, so there is no customization allowed. Also, none of the non-charter sightseeing tours allow any baggage or luggage on board their vehicles, so it would not be a viable option for anyone needing to go to a cruise ship and/or airport.

How far in advance should I book this activity?

We recommend booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance. If you have very specific schedule requirements and are not flexible, please book sooner. Last minute availability is often possible, but limited.

Do you have a mileage chart from Waikiki?

What are the departure zones.

Departure Zone A (South, East, and Central Oahu): A minimum of three (3) consecutive hours are required for departures leaving from South, East, and Central Oahu. These areas include Waikiki, Kahala, Kaneohe, Kailua, Waikele, and Mililani. Departure Zone B (West and North Shore Oahu): A minimum of five (5) consecutive hours are required for departures leaving from West and North Shore Oahu. These areas include Ko Olina, Ihilani, Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay, Haleiwa, and Waimea Bay.

Whether you need a ride around town or want to go on a fun tour of Kauai, you can count on Polynesian Adventure Tours to come through for you. They travel around the island all day on set routes to ensure everyone can get where they are going without fanfare. Their comfy black and white charter bus stands out from the crowd, letting you know just when your ride has arrived.

In order to hop on board the Polynesian Adventure Tour adventure, however, you do need to have a reservation, which is easy to make online. During signup, you can get a single ticket or the island hopper pass, which offers a full day of unlimited rides that let you easily explore the island at your leisure.

Once you sign up for the Polynesian Adventure Tour, the shuttle services make it easy to travel between the airport and Kapaa, Poipu, Koloa, and Princeville hotels plus all the major attractions in between. Along each predetermined route, there are stops at several destinations at the times listed on their schedule. Their most popular stops include Poipu Shopping Village, Old Koloa Town , Kilohana, Coconut Marketplace , Kapaa, and Kukui Grove .

You can take one shuttle from the airport to your hotel, and then grab a different shuttle to your attractions of choice after getting settled in. Then, perhaps jump on a different shuttle to another attraction for a few more hours of fun. After you’re done having a great time, you can get another shuttle ride back to your hotel to finish off your day. You’ll just need to be at their pickup locations at the assigned time to catch your ride back.

Beyond that, you can go to the Luau Kalamaku or take a fun tour of all the movie filming locations on the island. To kickstart your tour, they’ll pick you up at your hotel at the given time, and then take you on the adventure of a lifetime. All along the way, you get to see scenic landscapes and waterways plus learn all about the history and culture of Kauai. At the end of your Polynesian Adventure Tour, you’ll end up back at your hotel once again, filled with delicious food and a lifetime of awesome memories.

The offerings at Polynesian Adventure Tours:

Kauai Movie Adventure The Kauai Movie Adventure gives you an inside look at all the top filming locations on the island. On this seven-hour tour, you’ll land at Lydgate Beach and Opaekaa Falls of “Blue Hawaii” fame and see where “Jurassic Park” was filmed in Kapaa Town. Plus, you get to have lunch at Tahiti Nui where George Clooney and co filmed parts of “The Descendants.” Other points of interest include the Hanalei Pier, Kilauea Point Lighthouse Overlook, and Ahukini Landing.

Luau Kalamaku Offered as a joint collaboration, the Luau Kalamaku tour takes you to the Kilohana Estate to see a performance to remember. You’ll ride the charter bus to the plantation and back to your hotel once the show is over. In between, the luau performers will treat you to fire knife dancing and other dances from ancient Polynesia. You can even elect to go for the full package and enjoy a delicious island buffet while you watch all the action.

We use this company several year ago in Big Island and we had a excellent experience for that reason we book afán with them to do ours tour in Maui We did route to Hana. We recibe what they promised and more I like to recommend this tour company if you are in Hawaii. Our tour guide was Sales , no word to describe this gentleman, he went above and beyond to be sure that you had a great time, and he is like open book describing each place , generous, friendly , courteous and more....he deserves 10and more Book tour to Hana with Polynesian Adventure and ask for SALES be your driver and tour guide you will not regret that.

Polynesian Adventure Road to Hana with lunch Oct 17. Salesi was the best tour guide we had on our two-week stay in Hawaii, during which we went on a lot of tours. We booked his Road to Hana with Lunch tour through our NCL cruise. I rate this particular tour a 5, but I rate Polynesian Adventure tours a 3 overall because they did a poor job on our tour of Pearl Harbor. Salesi was well-informed, and had researched the sites he was showing us. He had lived on Maui and in the area a long time and filled us in with historical and family anecdotes. He gave us a full-length extensive tour, without trying to cut the tour short so he could end his work day earlier. My sister-in-law went on the deluxe small-van Polynesian Adventure tour of the Road to Hana, and her tour shorter than ours, and she did not get to see and photograph all the sites we got to see. Salesi knows how to keep a tour on schedule, and will show you as much as possible while getting you back to the cruise ship on time. Salesi is an excellent driver, and I was confident in his ability to drive the treacherous narrow road to Hana. We saw many Maui sites on Salesi's Road to Hana with Lunch tour. They included a water collection site for the island's irrigation system, many waterfalls, a famous church, the delicious banana bread at the Halfway to Hana snack shop, various native and exotic plants that Salesi was able to identify, various Hana community buildings, the pier in Hana, a black sand beach at a state park, green sea turtles at the state park, a family cemetery at the state park. We ate a boxed lunch at picnic tables in the state park. We saw rainbow eucalyptus trees up close. He took us to a sufficient number of bathroom rest-stops. Salesi took us to spots with good views worth photographing. (This isn't to say that all Polynesian Adventure tours are good. We had a horrible, uninformed, unhelpful, inarticulate Polynesian Adventure tour guide at Pearl Harbor.)

Bus driver almost ran us off the road on his way back. I guess rushing home after his shift was worth driving 60 miles per hour in a 35 zone. When confronted, he got angry and cursed at us and told us to go home. Very unprofessional. Bus number 8622. Whaler's Village at 6:45 pm on 2/2/2023.

Their website says that you will receive a refund if you contact them 72 hours in advance. I contacted them to cancel our tour more than 72 hours in advance. Did not get a refund.
