BUYER BEWARE!!

BUYER BEWARE!!! This company has a policy that if THEY cancel your trip…THEY get to keep your money and you get a credit the company. They cancelled my first trip..found out the hard way about their policy. Booked a trip…then had left over money so booked another…which they cancelled…again. Surprisingly…this time they offered a refund, but only gave me back the money I had put down…not what was left of “my credit”. So now I am forced to do business with a company I no longer wish to, that picks and chooses when to follow their own policy!! There are plenty of other travel agencies with similar tours…don’t give these guys your hard earned money for them to keep.

Just returned from Morocco trip with Indus and it was exceptional in every way. From the itinerary to the tour Director, everything was exactly as advertised, or better. Would definitely go with Indus again and highly recommend it.

If I could give them a lower score I would! I booked a trip to Morocco in October 2021. I bought travel insurance for the trip. Because of the Covid rate in Morocco the trip was canceled. They told me it was not possible to refund my money, I could book another trip. How can you plan another trip without knowing what’s going to happen with the Covid rate, New Covid variances, on and on and on.

They are SCAMMERS

They are SCAMMERS! We booked a trip in March 2022 for April 2023. Last week we got an email saying they can no longer offer those dates but we can pay more to go on a different dates. I asked for a refund but they are refusing a refund and only want to give us a credit to use with them. They have held onto our money for a year just to cancel the trip and refuse a refund.

THE GUIDE DIDNT GIVE AN ENGLISH TOUR!!! Please Beware if traveling in Greece or other European Countries. I booked an English speaking tour in Greece, the tour ended up being a bus ride across the country in Spanish. I brought this to the attention of Indus the very first day of the tour! Indus utilizes EUROPMUNDO who is clearly a scam company. First and foremost, our tour itinerary included numerous unnecessary stops at small villages ill-equipped to cater to the needs of a large group like ours. This resulted in excessive travel time and a lack of suitable facilities, including toilets and restaurants capable of accommodating our group's size. The selection of hotels and the quality of food provided were subpar, leading us to feel deceived and unsatisfied with the overall value of the tour. This was exacerbated by the absence of a meet-and-greet or clear information on where to assemble on the first day. Regrettably, these circumstances led to the unfortunate consequence of spending a significant portion of our vacation on the bus, with our arrival at cities often coinciding with the closure of attractions.

Are They Still in Business…

I had a tour book to Portugal which was cancelled. Have been trying to get my money refunded. Email contact has stopped and you can't call them on the telephone. You have to leave a name and number which I did. I have started proceedings with my credit card company to get the refund. Are they still in business?

I had the misfortune of traveling with…

I had the misfortune of traveling with them to Thailand several years ago. The hotels were third rate and there was 2 stops each way on the flight. My friend who organized a trip to Egypt and Dubai swore that Indus changed their ways and the flight would be direct. Guess what? Each leg has a stop and a 3 and 5 hour delay! Of course they booked the flights a couple of months ago and just informed us a couple of weeks before the trip. The hotel in Cairo was also released and it cost $70 a night! A beautiful hotel would cost $200! It looked like a fleebag! Of course the people who organized the trip looked like deer caught in a headlight. I actually spoke to the crooks there and they said go ahead and sue us. There is nothing you can do. Please look somewhere else

Scam. Dishonest people. Stay away. Scam. Stay away. I booked a $1900+ self-drive vacation to Ireland. A few weeks later they still have not booked my itineraries which I needed because I had other flights that I needed coordinate. So I called them and I explained that I needed to cancel. They agreed to cancel and refund my money. However, they never did and when I called them again they denied that they agreed to refund me the money. So I called them to at least give me the trip then since they would not cancel. But they also refused leaving me with nothing in return for my almost $2000. I got totally scammed. Once they get your money, you are at their mercy. This is a group of dishonest people. Stay away.

My trip with Indus around Japan's top

My trip with Indus around Japan's top attractions is now over. Staying in luxurious accommodations and being escorted to different locations was a wonderful perk despite the hectic pace of Japan. Every major cultural and geographical landmark in Japan was visited during the journey. Both structured activities and unstructured time were well-balanced. If you are considering a vacation to Japan, I highly recommend this tour.

Indus basically ruined much of our “The Best of the Amalfi Coast” trip taken this September, 2021. We booked the trip primarily to visit Positano and Ravello, close to Amalfi, Italy. Indus listed possibility of visiting these sites in its advertising as well as trip itinerary. Instead of working with us about arranging to visit these towns, Indus gave us assorted erroneous information, including that excursions had been cancelled to those villages because of Covid; that their Italian contact said we would need to pay $1000–$1500 to pay to charter boat; that no other way available to visit sites. All wrong information. When we were in Amalfi, we easily contacted the ferry and paid about 18 euros round trip for the trip to Positano. This was only the beginning of the many problems, most of them costing us more money. The driver did not meet us in the usual place at the airport. When we finally located him, he said that Indus’ instructions in their itinerary outdated. Indus did not respond to our emergency communication before we finally located the driver. Indus did not provide transportation to the Coliseum or Vatican tours as stated in the itinerary. Instead, we had to pay for round trip taxis. Indus did not provide transportation to the train station. Indus made reservations for both me and my friend (73 years old each) in separate railway cars. I was surrounded by empty seats. There was no reason to separate us. Indus did not respond to my emergency email after my friend missed the train. Indus booked us a hotel in Atrani where we had to climb a steep 81 steps to reach the hotel. We would never have agreed to that climb, as it could have been very dangerous for us. The hotel in Atrani where we were booked told us that there was no shuttle or taxi service to Amalfi. We had to hire a driver at 20 euros a trip to take us or take a steep walk including on a side of the road and a dark tunnel with no sidewalk to have reached Amalfi. Italy’s traffic is dangerously aggressive and we did not want to walk. Indus’ communication was terrible and they didn’t work with us about the problems they created in our trip. Very poor and at times non existent customer service for a very expensive trip. Also, Indus’ agent was almost impossible for us to understand, and my friend and I are native English speakers. We made it clear we could not understand him to no avail. Around $3000 each for this eight day trip. Unbelievable stress.

Hi,today i travelled from Bangalore to allaggadda,i felt soooo bad for indus travels,i didn't understand why they changed the bus after 6am,my destination time at 6 am but that time bus people asked to us change the bus ,it's tooooooooooo badddddddddddd service , don't prefer this travells compare to this travels government buses are more better than this indus travels,i will say all don't prefer this bus any cost ,one of the waste travel service .....

Do NOT book with this company

I paid a deposit of $1549.00 when I made my booking on 9/22/22. I received confirmation from Indus Travel on 9/22/22 that my booking was confirmed. On 10/4/22 I received an email from Ravi Yengkokpam that unfortunately your partner in Kenya is unable to accommodate this travel date and to consider doing it on a private basis. I had tried emailing Ravi back and scheduled a callback from him as well. I received an email from Monica Kanengoni that Ravi was out of the office, but they would look into other options and get back to me with those options in a couple of days. I heard nothing and emailed again on 10/11/22 and 10/12/22 that I had not heard back or gotten any options. On 10/13/22 Ravi emailed me that they need at least 3-4 passengers to travel that day and to wait 75 prior to travel date. No information regarding prices for private tour, no option to switch the travel dates. At that point I called Ravi and spoke to him on the phone. He was rude and unhelpful. He kept reiterating the travel dates that I booked because these dates were offered on their website, were actually not available and there was nothing he could do until 75 days prior to travel. There is nowhere on their website or their terms that state tours are NOT GUARANTEED UNTIL 75 DAYS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE. He did not have pricing or an option for a private tour and said there was nothing available in March but we can wait until 75 before departure and see what might be available then. I said that was unacceptable and asked what my other options were. He said he could offer me a voucher for $1,549.00 for future travel. Future travel??? I was trying to book a trip to Kenya through your company for March and couldn’t! I asked to speak to a supervisor. He refused to transfer me, but would have one call me back in a couple of hours. I did not hear back from anyone, so I filed a dispute with My credit card company . Rachel called me back on 10/14/22 who apparently is a supervisor. I advised her I wanted to cancel because of what was told to me by Ravi, and that I wanted to be refunded. She asked if I could be flexible with the dates in March, which I said yes. I had already told Ravi this, but was told there was nothing else available and I would have to wait 75 before travel. She said that was incorrect, and that she would contact their partner in Kenya and rebook to a confirmed tour in March or would have my deposit refunded to me. She asked that I give her 2 weeks, and if they could not accommodate that I would get a refund. She also said she would give me updates. I heard nothing. I called Indus Travel 2 weeks later and left a voicemail which was not returned. I received a letter from my cc stating I need to provide more documentation since the booking is not canceled. I emailed Rachel again today, 11/15/22 and said I have not heard back from anyone at Indus travel and would AGAIN, like to cancel my booking and be fully refunded. Her response was since I had disputed the charges, this was between their accounting department and my credit card company . I have tried calling the accounting department several times and keep getting disconnected or told they can not transfer me. My cc company can not dispute charges because the booking was not canceled, however if I cancel per Indus terms and conditions, I forfeit my deposit. I have seen the email correspondences between Indus and their partner in Kenya. Not only can Indus not guarantee my booking 75 days out, THEIR PARTNER won’t guarantee it until 30 days out because my booking is only for 1. NOWHERE on their website or your terms does it say bookings are not guaranteed until 30 days prior to departure for single travel. Not to mention I’d have to pay my balance of 1600.00 75 days out for a trip they can’t guarantee. It’s a scam company.

Thieves, deceivers, heartless!

THIEVES, DECEIVERS, LIERS, SCAMMERS, stay away! I booked a Scotland trip at Indus using their website for me and my wife back in May and the trip was going to be in August. We planned to augment as we will be arriving before the start day of the package and staying a few more days after its end date. I paid close to $1900. I waited for a week for them to send me my itineraries and hotel bookings and when none arrived I contacted Indus because I needed the hotel bookings so I can book the other itineraries. I then asked for the hotel bookings but to my surprise, they said they will send it to me 3 weeks before the trip would start - which would not work for us because we had to book other hotels and wed have to know the locations of the hotels from Indus in order for us to plan the others. I told them that I would like to cancel. They told me that the reason it takes time is because they “would like us to have the best experience”. I told them I could wait another week and gave them until Wednesday the following week and if the itineraries are not ready, I will have to cancel. One week later, that was a Wednesday, there were still no itineraries. I contacted them at 3PM, Boston time still nothing. I called my credit card company and filed a dispute. Immediately after that, I received an email from Tanya containing proposed itineraries but no confirmation from the hotels. She begged several times via email and voice mails and asked me to cancel the dispute because my credit card company was holding the payment. I considered and I agreed to try and work it out and give them a chance and so I called by credit card company and cancelled the dispute. About three weeks later, I still did not receive my confirmed itineraries from Indus and so I contacted Tanya how it was going. She said that the payment hasn’t come through from my credit card company. At that point, because it was getting to late, I asked, through their website chat, if we could just really cancel this time because obviously it wasn’t working out. She agreed that they will cancel all services. I clarified if they were still going to charge me because I did not want to lose my money. She said no. I took screenshots of the chat so I can have a proof. A weeks later, I realized that my credit card company has paid Indus and when I contacted them and explained to them that the transaction has been cancelled, they wanted a cancellation receipt from Indus. So I contacted Tanya and asked for a refund receipt to show my credit company. At that point she started denying our agreement. In short, they were begging me to cancel the dispute but once they got the money, they ran away with it. I called them and emailed them - Tanya denied our agreements because they were either verbal or via a chat and those are not accepted as evidence by financial institutions. They took my close to $1900 would not try to work things out, they just wanted the money! THIEVES, DECEIVERS, LIERS, SCAMMERS, stay away!

This was my 2nd trip with Indus and Discovery of Morocco tour turned out to be one of the best experiences I've had traveling with a tour group. All the overnight stays were at nice locations, especially the Sahara camp with the unique accommodations, dromedary ride and scenery. That was one of my favorite stops. Our guide Mohamed was excellent with a lot of expertise.

Indus review The Mystical Egypt package with INDUS Travel was amazing. Before my boyfriend and I left for Egypt we were in communication with a representative Ravy who helped to update us on the current visa and COVID protocols. He also kindly updated our flight to reduce a 10 hour layover. From there the trip continued to impress! Our liaison in Cairo, Remon, met us with a warm greeting. We waited for other travelers to arrive, but Rey made it such a comfortable wait. On the way to the hotel Rey gave us a full rundown of how we could optimize our trip and familiarized us with certain customs of Egypt. With him, the hotel check in and check out was seamless. When we got to Luxor our guide Ramy really took the trip to another level! He was professional, knowledgeable, and passionate, which added such a personal touch to the experience. He promised an unforgettable experience, and he delivered. He was able to teach us the Egyptian culture with an interactive twist. Anytime we socialized with locals or needed help with a purchase Ramy was always ready to intervene and provide the best outcome. The ship's crew, on the Nile River, were intuitive and extremely helpful. They clearly wanted their guess to feel special and welcomed. When we returned to Cario, Rey welcomed us back with a warm and sincere greeting. From there we met Omar who was young and ambitious. He helped us check in, go through our tour of the pyramids, old Cairo and the museum, then check out. Having him there was great because if there was any hiccup he was quick to resolve it without complaint. Our guide, also named Omar, filled us in on information during the Cario portion and further enlightened us on Egypt's past. By the end of the trip the group we connected with felt like an extended family. The guides provided a lot of assistance and played a big part in us warming up to each other and forming a bond. If Egypt is on your bucket list INDUS Travel will make it worth while! I plan to use them any time the opportunity presents itself.

DO NOT USE THIS TRAVEL AGENCY!!! If I could give them zero stars I would!!! I wish I checked yelp before I signed up for their tour. I am out almost $1K for something that was out of my control.

Felt compelled to write up a review to help other travelers and hopefully avoid the aggravation we experienced booking with Indus Travel. We used Indus Travel for travel to Europe for 8 family members (all seniors) bec it was recommended by a relative, only to find out later that she had stopped using them due to similar problems we encountered. 1) E-mails and phone calls are not answered or returned. It took 3 months from initial call to booking before we got to finalize our booking. After that, the customer service quality continued to spiral down. The quoting process was easy and received better response, but once we committed, getting help was a challenge. We almost gave up but we were so far along in our travel planning. Tried the supervisors. No return calls either. Almost had to beg for their attention as this was a trip of a lifetime for us. There is an obvious lack of care by the people who work there. Never have I experienced such a bad customer service. My account was transferred to 3 different Destination Specialists and all of them provided very minimal help. When I finally got a hold of someone, I was told that she knows to return my call but she hasn't had lunch so she will have to call me back. Extremely unprofessional. 2) Indus Travel outsources the actual tour guides to other companies (in our case, it was Europamundo). Therefore, getting assistance from them, especially when the tour bus did not show up one morning, was zero. Quality of tours are so-so. We were lucky to have one friendly tour guide. The other tour guide was rude and unfriendly. When the tour bus didn't show up, leaving all of their tour passengers waiting in the hotel lobby for hours, we were not provided with any updates. 3) Hotel accommodations: the hotel reservations were not finalized until 1-2 days before check-in. Because we came in a couple of days earlier, we got on the plane not knowing where we would be staying. It was very stressful. I suggest trying other travel agencies, if you want a smooth and stress-free travel planning. I hope management provides much-needed customer care service training.

This company defrauded me out of the $899 deposit I gave them just before the Covid pandemic for a tour. When that tour cancelled, they wouldn't refund the money but issued a voucher. When I attempted to use the voucher for the deposit on an advertised and operating tour in Mexico in mid 2021, they wouldn't book it, suddenly saying that that tour had just been cancelled, but that they could get something else for more money. It was obvious that they were simply not going to honor my voucher if it cost them any money. On Viator, I found the land tour operator in Mexico that Indus was going to use and booked them directly. (Indus is only a middleman.) I went on the tour and had a great time, even being able to forget what scum Indus Travels had been. It is important for Americans to know that it is never safe to give money to any travel company outside the US if your date of travel is further in the future than the charge back period of your credit card. At that point in time, and up until your travel is completed, you are completely trusting the tour company to perform. You have NO financial leverage over them whatsoever since they are outside the US.

Indus is a very dishonest company. They are evasive and will not share the company you will be travelling with ,2 star company. They book travel they do not operate the tours. The company states they will inform you of the hotels used 2 days before travel . I am writing this so others can avoid this company and save A LOT of problems. The BBB told me the BBB only rate a company on their response time to a complaint not that they solve any . It does not take Indus long to respond with NO. I have read others reviews and it never goes the way of the clients. POOR CUSTOMER practice ,there is no service.

Indus organizes trips, but it doesn't OPERATE the trips. Instead, they contract with partner companies located in different countries. This means that the guides that you have on your trip won't work for Indus, and you may even have different guides and drivers for each of the day-tours that you take, which isn't necessarily a bad thing--it's just a little unusual. And because Indus isn't operating the trips, the quality of the trips can vary widely--it just depends on the quality of the partner companies that Indus works with. I've traveled with Indus on three trips. All of the trips have been enjoyable, but each of the trips has been frustrating at times. On one trip, I didn't get a transfer from the airport to my hotel, so I took a bus into town and was dropped off at the wrong hotel. (A kind local directed me to the right place.) TWICE Indus has booked day tours for us as if all of its clients were one party, which means that drivers come into hotel lobbies looking for Smith, party of four (for example), when the Indus clients were actually Smith, party of two, and Jones, party of two. The drivers were confused, and we were confused too, and because we had different drivers each day, we had to explain this to drivers every day. The most important thing to know is that Indus advertises "guaranteed departure" trips, but if you read the fine print, the departures actually aren't guaranteed. I booked a trip for Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand six months in advance. A month before the trip's departure, Indus emailed me that the trip was canceled because there weren't enough passengers, and instead of refunding my money, they offered me a credit. I talked with an Indus representative to find a different Indus trips leaving during my available travel dates, but all of the other trips would be more expensive. The representative explained that it was because I was booking at the last minute--a month before I planned to leave. I explained to the representative that I was only booking at the last minute because Indus had canceled the trip I'd booked well in advance, but it didn't make a difference. Long story short, I ended up on a trip that took me to fewer countries (just Vietnam and Cambodia) for fewer days and cost me $700 more, and Indus refused to offer me compensation for this additional cost even after I explained the situation (in writing) to a manager. Because of that situation--and because of the other, smaller issues that have popped up with Indus--I'll not be using them again. If you're traveling on a budget, Indus's prices look very appealing, but keep in mind that those prices can be misleading. And if you want an easy, carefree traveling experience, look at some of Indus's competitors. The trips I've taken with Indus were still fun (because exploring other countries always is!), but I enjoyed myself in spite of Indus--not because of them.

We had a wonderful tour with INDUS to Portugal. Everything went smoothly and we had the best service of any tour we've taken. The hotels were wonderful. While out of the beaten path, the price that we paid for our tour made up for the locations. ALL hotels had a great breakfast that allowed us to skip lunch and then have a late dinner with lots of wine and local edibles. We plan to use INDUS again in the future. Very happy with their service and the value that they provided for our week long trip!

I booked a trip a few years ago through Indus Travels to Kenya and Zanibar. The customer service wasn't stellar (it was tolerable), but my husband and I enjoyed the trip. I added some pics from this trip to this review. Granted, our safari vehicle broke down on 2 different days. Our guide made up for this. We still maintain contact with our guide. Because we ended up having great memories from that trip, I decided to book a trip to Botswana with them. I have been thoroughly disgusted with the customer service thus far. The app is a headache to use, but better than their previous system of printing the forms, filling them out, and scanning them back to Indus Travels. Also, I was trying to insure I added the insurance and the cancel anytime option. It was important to me to have this option, because I had to cancel a trip last year when my mom was hospitalized. Well, my credit card limit is just under the amount for the deposit, the insurance, and the cancel anytime option. It was suggested by the rep at Indus that I just pay the deposit. Then, I could add the insurance and cancel anytime option later. I followed this advice. Within a few days, I tried to add the insurance and cancel anytime option. I could not add the cancel anytime option online. Called Indus and was told it would not be a problem as they could send me an invoice to add this. Numerous calls to the company and days later, I was told I would be sent an invoice finally that day. No invoice. The next day when I called, I was told I needed to send an email requesting an invoice. BUT YOU HAVE BEEN TELLING ME YOU WERE SENDING THE INVOICE! Not sure why I have to request it yet again. I send the email. The invoice was finally sent, but it did not have the cancel anytime option added. Called them back. Basically was told you cannot add this option. It can only be added at the time of booking. Really? That's NOT what I was told by your rep! I could have used other options like a bank transfer or ask my husband if I could use his credit card when he got home from work. Nope. Now we do not have the option. Because I know I have a 91-year-old grandmother and parents with medical issues, that cancel option was important to me when it came to paying over $10,000 for our tour and insurance cost. Now I'm worried and have my fingers crossed and hoping my family remains healthy or I'll lose my hard-earned money. So far, the customer service has been the pits! You have to keep contacting them as they will not follow-up with you in a timely manner. I am still holding out hope the actual trip to Botswana will be filled with memories and make up for this horrendous lack of customer service. Looking at some of the other reviews, I'm not so certain. I'm still hopeful though. I will edit my review if the trip goes well. My husband and I can make almost any trip fun.

Glorious Greece - a trip of a lifetime made possible by excellent guides, great hotels, and an amazing itinerary. From start to finish our trip to Athens, Mykonos and Santorini was exceptional as were our hospitable guides. The team at Indus and its partners went above and beyond for our group. We especially loved Nena our guide at the Acropolis who was exceptionally knowledgeable about all aspects of the site including the mythology and stories told for generations. This is a trip we won't soon forget.

Jeremy, the leader of Indus Travels, was really professional, and the trip was well-organized; I just returned from Africa. The game drives in Chobe and Entabeni were our favorites, although we loved everything about our trip from Cape Town onwards. With only sixteen people, the group was just right, and everyone got along great. October was the perfect time to go outside. Taking this excursion is something we wholeheartedly endorse.

Even though our schedule was…

Even though our schedule was jam-packed, we saw quite a bit of Spain. Wonderful was our tour manager. Under her watchful eye, we remained on track and received excellent treatment. Particularly when dealing with smaller concerns, she was of great assistance. Due to her, the whole thing was fantastic. Superb were all of the local tour guides. We gained a wealth of knowledge regarding the heritage and past of the places we experienced. This trip to Spain with Indus is fantastic.

Unforgettable Ireland with Indus was…

Unforgettable Ireland with Indus was perfect small group tour of 20 people covering Dublin, Belfast, Derry, Donegal, Galway, Killarney, Kilkenny and lots in between. The tour was very well paced with plenty of activities balanced with free time. Hotels, food, scenery, culture, history, fun, all amazing. Brilliant tour guide Kevin with loads of local knowledge.

Great last minute trip through the Imperial cities with Indus. Our river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest had been cancelled due to low water levels so this trip with Indus was very last minute. Many thanks to Monica from Indus for organising everything for us with such short notice.

A really well organised trip with very…

A really well organised trip with very good guides in Japan. From the outset the communication from Indus was excellent. We loved the "Indus app" that gave us al the info we needed for our trip. We were fortunate that we had a small group of 12 people only so we had a wonderful one on one experience with each of our guides in Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Osaka.

Visiting Ireland was an incredible adventure. Excellent lodgings with a warm, welcoming, and culturally significant vibe. Quite a few unexpectedly delicious supper options. We had a blast with all of the planned activities. Thank you to everyone on the bus, the tour leader, the local guides, and everyone else on board. This tour and Indus Travels are both highly recommended by me.

Indus is a company you want to avoid

Indus is a company you want to avoid. They are not honest at all. When a company will not share information, you must wonder why. They are a travel agency not the company that provides the tour. They will not even tell you the name of the company you will be travelling with. The only reason they have a BBB rating is because BBB only rates according to the time the company takes to respond to a complaint. the issues are never resolved to the clients satisfaction. Be smart and learn from others misfortune.

Truly breathtaking sightseeing on Best

Truly breathtaking sightseeing on Best of Peru, Argentina & Brazil tour! We visited all 3 countries - Peru, Argentina and Brazil. The planning and logistics involved to get us to the next destination must have been phenomenal. All went smoothly. We have done many trips in the past and we were extremely impressed with Indus and their local agents. Would travel again with Indus, in fact, look forward to doing so again soon. The countries we visited were very interesting and quite different from each other which made it more fascinating to see them. Thanks to Indus, our trips to Egypt and Dubai were amazing. Excellent, well-organized, informed, and kind tour guide. We saw everything on our itinerary, and Indus did a great job with the services they offered. Excellent work!

Norway was a beautiful country

Norway was a beautiful country, and the pace of the Magic of Norwegian Fjords tour was fine. Although the guide kept quoting all costs in American Dollars or Euro; Norwegian the currency is Krone. It became rather frustrating to be converting from Euro/USD. The accommodation was clean, though the rooms were extremely small, they did provide some spectacular views! The coach was very full so that part was little disappointing. Now that I am home and reviewing the photos, I can appreciate what an awe-inspiring country Norway really is. Absolutely include Norway on your tour list and go with Indus.

We do not normally travel with guided tours but myself and my wife decided to try it for this Africa trip due to lack of planning time. This was such a good experience! Monica with Indus was very helpful in guiding us through our booking process and helping us prepare for the trip. Our tour manager Tony was very knowledgeable and really cared about everybody on the tour having a great experience in his country. Our tour group only had 14 people in it, and we were all a little family by the end of our 2 weeks together. The hotels were very nice, the food was good, and the wildlife was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend Indus Travels to anyone considering it!

This company should not be in business

This company should not be in business, unfortunately, they will continue their bad practices as long as people can be duped. I and a friend unfortunately booked with them ( I trusted my friend). I should have looked for reviews on this company before booking. It was supposed to be a London & Scotland tour including a visit to Stonehenge & Bath. Stonehenge & Bath never happened. The tour guides explanation was simply “no we’re not going to do that”. The tour guide was lazy, she had no knowledge of the places we did visit by a non-luxury coach bus with dirty windows. There was soooooo many things wrong with this trip it would take to long to write. I hope people start reading these reviews to save themselves a headache and lost money.

Taste of Portugal tour was just the…

Taste of Portugal tour was just the right amount of time, with adequate time to do your own thing plus interesting and well planned activities. The number of the participants was also really good - about 15 of us so we got to know most people over the 7 days. One thing I was disappointed with was that even though the tour says it was for 8 days it really in essence was only 7, as day 1 was nothing, just checking in to the hotel for the evening. So I think it is a bit misleading to call it a 8 day tour. The hotels were all of a very good standard and in good locations.

It's with great sadness ,I will never go back

Well it is with great sadness I leave this review , I have gone to indus 20 years plus , my son has as well. I even recommended this place to friends . No more went today ordered a chicken curry ,I got a burger as well. The curry smelt like poo or horse manure, terrible . My son said dad is this normal. He was so disappointed .he's a local lad grew up there ordered many times before. With regret the family running it now have let the standards drop badly . Seems the old man was the back bone of this business . Would not bother ordering from indus, highly disappointing. There is no way you can cook a dish in 2 minutes . Old chicken being used from previous days . Food poisoning alert.

A shameful company

DO NOT USE Travel Indus for traveling. It is a deceptive company. I live in Sarasota, Florida and was supposed to fly to Europe the same day that Category 4 hurricane Ian hit us. Indus Travel said it was fine for us to travel. The hurricane was catastrophic; many lost their homes due to the winds and flooding and we lost water, power and Wi-Fi for over a week in addition to minor damage. We were required to evacuate and sheltered with all roads closed during the hurricane. Even our main Florida highway was flooded. I asked Travel Indus to postpone our trip. They refused. They could care less about us losing our lives and completely ignored our multiple requests to postpone the trip. I contacted them 12 times in 1 week and received no help. This company is disgraceful and shouldn’t be doing travel business.

We really appreciate how frustrating this must all have been for you and we certainly empathise with your situation and that of all Floridians affected by the recent hurricane. You contacted us numerous times in the lead up to your trip and we explained each time that Miami International Airport was not closed and that the flight booked on was still scheduled to operate; that this could change at a moments notice and should that happen we could then review what options the airline would provide as alternative travel plans. This occurred with a few of the airports in Florida but not with Miami International; which stayed open. We suggested that if you had travel insurance (it was not purchased through us), that you should contact them immediately to open a claim. We did not tell you to travel; we simply advised that all services were scheduled to depart as originally booked. We understand that your circumstances warranted that you should stay put and not travel, however as per our terms and conditions the tour would be considered non refundable/non transferrable. We have clients with medical emergencies or other urgent reasons that must also cancel last minute and as much as we empathise with their situations too, we must follow our terms & conditions for all our clients regardless of how we may feel personally. The main reason that we get our valued clients like yourself to agree to the terms and conditions at the time of booking is because we also agree to stringent terms with our tour and airline partners. This is why we offer travel insurance at the time of booking. Travel Insurance is meant to cover one for the what ifs, the unknowns that can happen prior to or during travel.

Amazing Ecuador with Galapagos…

We booked an Ecuador with Galapagos tour with Indus. From the beginning to the end, it was exceptional. The support we received from Indus made everything smooth, even when we had two flights canceled (not due to Indus) and had to make changes. We have used Indus for multiple trips and we highly sing their praises.

Indus lied about the airline

Indus lied about the airline, not a direct flight, not Emirates. Indus booked us into fleabag hotels. The nile cruise food was pigslop. Never use them. They do not care about your travel experience.

Indus Mystical Egypt Tour was excellent…

Indus Mystical Egypt Tour was excellent with the exception of having to be on a flight to Aswan after arriving in Cairo requiring we all get up at 2:30 a.m. creating a major sleep deficit right off the bat. We had few people become ill with diarrhea and being dehydrated and I wonder if lack of sleep might have contributed to this condition. Luckily me and my partner were fine. To repeat Tour Guide Mohamed was terrific! Don't know how Indus provide such a value for money trip for so little money. Great value! Highly recommended.
