When on my 4th Disney Cruise with my friends. First time with out the kds and I have to say, it was still Magic-al. From the moment you step onboard, you are transported into a world of magic that only Disney can create. One of the standout features of the Disney Cruise is the exceptional service provided by the friendly and attentive staff. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every one in our party needs were met, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the cruise. It's such a wonderful filling to feel like a cherished member of the Disney family. The ship itself is a floating wonderland with an array of entertainment options for all ages. For us as adults, we indulge in the luxurious spa treatments and enjoy a quiet evening at the various after hours lounges. One of the best things about the Disney Magic is the food. There are a variety of restaurants to choose from, including the 3 wonderful main dining room rotations, and of course the buffet. The food is always delicious. I can't wait to go again! Maybe with the kids... or maybe not. Will see :)
Along with our daughter and granddaughter, Diane and I just completed our first cruise aboard a Disney Cruise Line vessel. In our case it was the Disney Wonder sailing from San Diego to Ensenada, Mexico. The cruise itself had some bumps along the way that were not the fault of the cruise line, beginning with a deluge of rain as we waited outdoors in a reserved parking area with our luggage for a shuttle to the ship. Then we had to miss the first scheduled port of Catalina Island because the storm created surging waves that blocked contracted tenders from timely leaving California to take passengers off the ship. But, as a result, we got to spend an extra day at sea. Diane and I went into the Rainforest Room of the Senses Spa where I was able to recline on a heated ceramic lounger, enter a warm steam room and a hot steam room, and experience a warm Tropical Shower, hot Thunder Shower, and a Cold Fog Shower. And I spent some time inside the wood sauna located in the spa's Men's Dressing Room. The heated ceramic lounger was the best type I have encountered in 32 cruises, largely because each lounger had a leather cushion for the head and neck to rest on. Later, Diane and I had facials in the spa's salon while I also enjoyed a shave from a master female barber from India, Stage entertainment was superb, with several Disney films brought to life, and singing and dancing cast members who were of Broadway caliber. And it was fun to watch a parade of Disney characters dance and interact with passengers. The dancing on deck on Pirates Night was so well synchronized that it was clear that much practice had been engaged in by characters and the energetic leaders of the festivities. Then, seeing Mickey Mouse sail through the air from a ship's funnel amid bubbles and bursting pods of Fireworks at Sea was an added bonus. An additional unexpected treat while standing on our stateroom verandah one day at sea around dusk was seeing and filming rockets carrying satellites being launched into space by Space X. Diane and I were somewhat disappointed with many of the food offerings we ate--especially lunch items that featured a Philly Steak Sandwich with a half-melted slice of American Cheese, some shredded beef, and a small hoagie roll; and a non-beef skinny Hot Dog on a plain bun. Portions outside the Cabanas buffet tended to be small. But a Cheeseburger was good, and I enjoyed first-rate Prime Rib, excellent fresh Beignets dipped in an Espresso Chocolate Sauce, and White Bread Pudding at Tiana's Place on the last night of the cruise. Also, dinner at Palo the first night of the cruise, where I had a large Shrimp Fritti appetizer and deboned Dover Sole, was outstanding. This was a specialty extra-charge restaurant, but the romantic ambiance, superb service, and higher grade food were well worth the extra expense of about $169. It would have been $100 if we went with the price fixe menu, but I wanted to have a five-course meal of my own choosing from the expansive menu. You only live once, so why not make the best use of that time?! Service everywhere on the ship was outstanding. Doors were opened for me, and my plate taken to a table on Deck 9 prepared by a crew member. I liked the freshly popped popcorn available ourside the Walt Disney Theatre, and enjoyed the movie "Wish" and other productions with popcorn in hand. Attending a session of Silent Dancing was fun where colorful headphones were distributed, and guests of all ages listened and reacted to a choice of three channels of rock and pop music. The headphones blocked out all other sound. My small family group posed for professional photographs with Mickey Mouse in a sea captain's uniform, and we had a very good and fun time overall. If I sail on another Disney cruise I intend to take advantage of some offered activities I did not participate in on this voyage, like learning to draw particular Disney characters, and trying one's hand at it.

Disney dream is a dream! Comes with pros and cons! Traveled with a 4 year old with us and definitely has some great features. Pros So much to do! Like so much! There is an app with daily activities Super hard working staff to ensure the magic to happen! From entertainment to food services and medical and kids zone area. Rooms are nice we had a verandah and I would highly recommend a balcony if it is in your budget. Cons Food reserving timing absolutely did not work for us to have late dining; we ended up doing room service most of the time. There are things that you can do but within extra charge Only one deck has the beverage stations... Food option at the late dining is only fried food. No veggies available... Breakfast is not great with only one cheese option and you have to ask the team member to serve it... I would do it again but definitely be mindful of that your budget is a start and within that it will keep going up...

My family made some of the best memories on the Disney Magic Cruise. First off Rapunzel is her favorite princess and it was mostly based around her. The pirate night was a great time, everyone on the ship participated which was really cool. The characters change outfits every night depending on the theme. We celebrated the Silver Sea 25th Anniversary and they had fireworks at Sea two different nights. The food was good not great, the attention to detail on everything was fantastic. Castaway Cay and Nassau were great. I loved the cool different things each island offered. The best part about Castaway cay was the photo ops and they have their own Run a 5k with a medal at the end. You didn't need to wait hours to meet characters. The shows on the ship are Broadway level and the people who work there did everything they could to make sure you have the best time.

I won a Disney cruise for 4 on the Disney Magic through a local radio station. I debated making it a family trip but my kids are very young (1 and 3). Instead I decided to take a trip with 3 girlfriends. We're all in our mid 30s and we had a blast. The theme was Halloween on the High Seas, and they had a decent amount of Halloween decorations. Although obviously fun for kids, as adults we still had a great time. They had an adults only section of the pool. We tried the 2 waterslides, the hot tub, and a couple of my friends did massages in the spa. The service was top notch. The food was excellent and my favorite restaurant was Animator's Palate. The buffet food was good too. We watched all 3 shows on the cruise, but my absolute favorite was Disney Dreams where they combined songs from all of our favorite Disney movies. We stopped at Disney Castaway Cay, which was a pretty impressive island compared to other cruise lines' private Islands. I recommend doing the Stingray excursion. I would recommend this cruise line both for adults & kids!

Went on the Disney Dream to the Caribbean out of Miami and we had a great time. The kids enjoyed Disney more than Royal Caribbean as the daycare areas were more fun, granted there's a lot of video games going on. We made frequent visits to 9-hole minigolf and foosball on the outdoor top level, the AquaDuck, and of course the free soft serve ice cream machines. Food was ok and actually better on Royal Caribbean on the Oasis class. Disney does has more variety in the food and dining atmospheres. Servers were friendly and fun, great for families. The layout of our balcony room was also better than Royal Caribbean with split bathroom (one room has sink plus shower; one room has sink plus toilet) which makes things more efficient in getting ready to go out. Really enjoyed the Broadway quality shows (Beauty and the Beast was the best, Believe was good) and a nice plus to watch the latest Thor movie (Love and Thunder) for free. We flew to FLL airport and was very convenient to get a minivan taxi down to our Miami Marriott hotel 1 or 2 days before departure. Upon disembarkation, also took a minivan taxi to Ft Lauderdale from Miami cruise port. We didn't pay extra for any food and drink - the included food and drinks were perfectly good enough and lots of variety between the buffet, fast food area, and the main restaurants. We only left the boat for the private island (Castaway Cay) and had a lot of fun there without need to pay for anything extra. Plenty of beach, a few waterslides, and foosball/pingpong/basketball shooting area. Free bbq buffet with soft serve ice cream as well. Disney cruises can be 50%+ more expensive than Royal Caribbean so it's important to go during nonpeak periods if possible. Plus the experience is better during nonpeak with less lines for everything. We went during lull in travel due to Covid so Disney was offering some discounts in certain places.
Just returned from a 5 day, 4 night disney cruise with my family. My parents, husband, and 3 year old all had an incredible time! The embarkation process was seamless and quick. Once we were on board the Disney Dream we headed to Cabanas for a buffet lunch and then straight to our room. The DCL app was a great resource during our trip and allowed us to stay on top of cruise events. Our first night, while dining in Animators Palatte, we sailed thru some really rough seas which left me, my father, and toddler absolutely sea sick. Before our entrees arrived, my little one got sick right at the table. The staff at DCL were absolutely incredible. They cleaned the area thoroughly and sent us to our room with fresh meals - tho none of us had the appetite with the rough seas. We were frequently checked on by staff; they sent gingerale to our room and even continued to check in on us the next day. The level if attention our wait staff provided was top notch. I loved how they knew our names and even cut up our daughters food/helped to feed her while we enjoyed our meals. The entertainment was phenomenal and the experience was exceptional. We cannot wait to book our next cruise!

So much better than other cruises. Especially with the Marvel Day at Sea, my family absolutely loved all those events. Pirates night was surprisingly fun as well. So much stuff for the kids to do it's hard to take it all in. Stopped in Grand Cayman and Castaway Cay (pronounced Key). Awesome options to swim with dolphins and sting rays in Grand Cayman. And fun waterslides and events for the kids in Castaway Cay. Highly, highly recommend.
We had an amazing second cruise on Disney cruise line on the Dream from Miami. In true Disney cruise line fashion we were treated like royalty throughout our 4 night stay. Every cast member was courteous, friendly, and helpful. In particular, our stateroom host Mercedes from Honduras, and our dining room team: Shaan from India and Cathyrine from the Philippines were incredible and made sure we had everything we needed and more. On embarkation day after boarding the ship we quickly completed our muster drill and then headed to Animator's palate for a sit down lunch. We both chose the beef empanada to start. It was warm and crispy on the outside and paired well with the pico de Gallo. My partner greatly enjoyed the shrimp and chicken gumbo and the muffuletta. My salmon salad was so fresh and light and the perfect first meal on the ship. After lunch we were able to be seen quickly at guest services to apply some gift cards to our stateroom balance. We also stopped by Enchanted Garden to confirm our dining since we had requested to be seated with just our party and were happy to hear our request had been granted. By 1:30pm our stateroom on the 7th floor, midship with verandah was available. Our stateroom was very comfortable! The bed was the right combination of soft and firm. I love that you get turndown service twice a day! Mercedes made us beautiful towel animals and made sure everything was clean and organized in our room. The shower had excellent strong water pressure and it was so convenient to have a split shower and toilet and two sinks. We were able to watch on demand Disney movies everyday on the tv! It was so luxurious to wake up and see the sun rising from our personal balcony. We loved ordering complimentary room service for breakfast and snacks. Our favorites from room service were the Buffalo wings, cheeseburger and All Hands on Deck cheese plate. Favorites from the main dining rooms were the prime rib and sea bass from Enchanted Garden, the black truffle pasta pursettes and lemon icebox pie from Animator's palate, the king ora salmon and iced lobster and shrimp from Royal Palace, and the lime marinated shrimp and samosa appetizers , and caramel macadamia nut tart from pirate night. I also had a delicious chicken curry from Royal palace during a sit down lunch. Additionally, we reserved a brunch at Palo for an additional charge. Our server, Venezia, from Colombia made our meal special and we greatly enjoyed the seafood and charcuterie appetizers, the tomato and celery soup, the chicken Parmesan with risotto, and the limoncello torte and chocolate molten cake for dessert. Palo was very elegant and the perfect escape from the crowds. Favorite activities on board were the aqua duck water slide (ride on port days when the line is short), the Art of the Theme walking show, trivia, and animation class. On pirate night we enjoyed a gorgeous fireworks show! We also enjoyed the three Broadway style shows, the Golden Mickeys, Beauty and the Beast, and Believe. The costumes and sets were beautiful, and the singing and dancing were very entertaining. My partner also reserved two alcohol tastings (tequila and margaritas, and mojitos and caipirinhas) as well as a haircut in the barber shop and was pleased with his experience. Disney cruise line wants everything to be easy and comfortable and it certainly was! It was so convenient to charge souvenirs and drinks to right to our stateroom. The ship itself was beautifully ornate in the classic Art Deco style and I love that they play Disney music everywhere. There are plenty of spaces to explore and relax. If you have kids or if you are a kid at heart, characters could be found all over the ship and you could find times for meetings, as well as all other cruise activities including movies and shows in the navigator app. Menus were also available in the app and even a chat feature between guests so that my partner and I could stay in touch. We weren't the biggest fans of Nassau as a port, but lived Castaway Cay!!! Serenity beach was the perfect adults only escape and the buffet lunch was fresh and delicious. My favorites were the bbq salmon with pineapple pico de Gallo, and the bbq ribs. The trams were convenient and a great way to get around the island. Back on board, I checked out the Midship Detective Agency game which is an interactive activity for kids where they can solve 1 of three mysteries while exploring the different decks of the ship. Overall we had an incredibly fun and relaxing time and can't wait to book our next cruise! You can book a placeholder for 10% off your next cruise while on board. I highly recommend booking with Small World Vacations who give you onboard credit and handle all our reservations for you.
10 STARS!!!!! We are coming back from an incredible vacation. This is the our 3rd Disney cruise and we can't wait to book again. High quality shows, incredible food, and fun like no other. Even our adult kid loved the trip. A highlight is Disney's private island Castaway Cay. We snorkeled and ran a 5K. We had so much and and am sad to exit the ship. Just look at my boys faces. They lived the experience.

PortMiami Merges Disney Cruise Line Terminal Project into MSC Cruises’ Two-Berth Terminal Project
Nearly two years ago, PortMiami approved an extension to Disney Cruise Line’s preferential berthing agreement which included a memorandum of understanding between the two parties to commence a negotiation for the construction of a new cruise terminal.
Fast forward to today, the Miami-Dade Tourism and the Ports Committee Agenda met and unanimously approved an amendment to extend a terminal MSC Cruises’ financing period through October 31, 2020 for their new $300 million dollar two-berth terminal project. On the surface, this is not newsworthy for Disney Cruise Line fans, but the amendment includes language for a shared use and preferred berthing agreement for Disney Cruise Line effectively ending the the previous discussion on the 2018 memorandum.
In a cost saving measure, the Miami-Date County proposed a shared usage agreement to incorporate facilities for Disney Cruise Line in MSC’s new terminal. The intent of a multi-berth shared facility with MSC Cruises and Disney is a cost-savings from the County’s previously contemplated proposal for a new Disney terminal . On September 5, 2018, the Board approved Resolution No. R-891-18, Amendment No. 2 to the Terminal Berthing Agreement with Disney, including a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a framework for the design and construction of a new Disney terminal on the Port. Due to land constraints, the previously contemplated project required a split operation with a waterside berth and landing facility and a landside terminal in the interior of the Port, inclusive of parking and ground transportation areas. The project would have also required a secure roadway connecting the two facilities. The merger of the MSC Cruises and Disney projects creates the opportunity for savings to the County on the costs associated with elements that would have been part of the separate split Disney terminal project.
According to the design firm, Arquitectonica , the MSC Cruises terminal at Port Miami which will be located on the easternmost site of the Port, will be the last terminal viewed by every departing cruise ship and the first terminal viewed by every returning ship.
The design maximizes the use of the ground floor by elevating the parking as a monumental canopy or porch. By virtue of its linear spread it allows convenient access from arrival and departure positions for both cruise ship check ins and departures. The design also reduces the number of garage levels and provides two points of vehicular access and egress via large radius spiral ramps. The liberation of the ground level allows for total flexibility in optimizing the terminal’s design, and to provide ample rain cover for bus, rideshare and taxi drop offs.
This design takes advantage of the length of the site to project a powerful shape and dimension like no other in the port. The garage is thin, so it appears as a cloud over the glass spaces below. It levitates, challenging gravity while providing shade, a fundamental principle of sustainability.
The east end rises to accommodate the offices that faces the arriving ships.
The resolution will require the County to negotiate a new preferential berthing rights agreement with Disney based on this multi-berth shared facility proposal. This new agreement with Disney will be brought before the Board together with the MSC Cruise’s amendment for review and approval within 120 days.
Below is a highlight video for today’s meeting with an overview on the item, the vote, and then Juan Kuryla, the director of the Sea Port joins the meeting to discuss safety protocols at the port, the employees and the future of cruising at PortMiami.
We will continue to monitor the progress of this item and report back once the new agreement is made public.

One Reply to “PortMiami Merges Disney Cruise Line Terminal Project into MSC Cruises’ Two-Berth Terminal Project”
The artists conception pictures of the MSC terminal are very impressive. Originally, 2 years ago it was all Disney with equally impressive pictures of a new Disney Terminal and the article gave the impression that the home port of the Wish was going to be Port Canaveral and either the Dream or Fantasy was going to move to Miami. When ships 6&7 come on line, one was going to be ported in Europe and the other in Miami. Fast forward two years and now Disney is going to share a 2 berth terminal in Port Canaveral with Norwegian and share a 2 berth terminal with MSC in Miami. Disney is dire need of the new terminal in Miami. We went on one the last Magic cruises before the shutdown out Miami last March . Even with Disney’s best efforts the Miami terminal was marginal at best. With this terminal consolidation, I hope that the Disney portion is not compromised. Changes seem to happen fast

DCL Guide Disembarkation Miami and Port Canaveral
Last Updated on February 6, 2020
There are some important steps that should be taken in order to have an enjoyable and stress-free Disney Cruise Line disembarkation in Port Canaveral.
Part of that planning includes, how you are going to leave the cruise after your holiday is over, foreshadowing the end to fun sucks, but is super important.
Here we will detail a well-planned disembarkation process for your Disney Cruise vacation.
Making Debarkation Day Stressless
On the last full day of your cruise, there will be a video showing on one of the TV channels that spells out (in major detail) the disembarkation process.
In this video, the cruise director details everything you need to know. They play this on a loop, all day for your convenience, so you will definitely be able to find the information that interests you.
Choose a Flight Time That’s Right for You
The last piece of the puzzle in making Debarkation Day go smoothly is your travel home. For passengers that are flying home that day, Disney Cruise Line recommends that you not book a flight earlier than 11:30 am. This will give you enough time to exit the ship, clear customs and make your way to the airport.
Because there are other guests boarding soon after you, and your fellow passengers debark, Disney wants everyone off as soon as possible so linger onboard is not an option. Don’t count on last-minute photo Ops, as it is a busy time for the ship.
Remember many airlines won’t allow you to check in until 4 hours (sometimes even 2 hours) before your flight departure time. Plan accordingly.
Disembarkation Information Letter
The night before you disembark is typically Pirate night onboard Disney Cruise Line ships. This is when your Stateroom Attendant will bring your disembarkation information letter. This is personalized to your holiday; including luggage tags, Magical Express information and anything else you will need to know in order to have a smooth transition from the ship.
Character Luggage Tags
Along with your disembarkation information letter, you will receive a number of character luggage tags. These are to be placed on the luggage you place outside of your door the night before disembarkation. Your luggage will be taken away around 10 pm and you will not see it again until the next morning once you have left the ship.
It is imperative that you remember which character, and colour , you are. Once you have disembarked, you will be directed to the cruise terminal building which will have large signs. Find your character and colour, and you will soon find your luggage.
Onboard Airline Check-in Debarkation Information / Airline Boarding Passes / Airline Luggage Tags (US Only)
With Disney Cruise Line’s onboard airline check-in program you can have your boarding passes printed for you on the ship and your checked luggage picked up from your stateroom, not to be seen again until you reach your destination airport. This is a complimentary service for eligible travellers.
Important Items of Note:
General requirements:.
- Be prepared for possible airline baggage fees which vary by carrier. Any applicable airline baggage fees will be added direct`ly to your shipboard account .
- Each piece of luggage can weigh no more than 50 lbs. (23 Kg.)
- You must have purchased DCL Ground Transporation.
- This is only for those disembarking in Port Canaveral or Miami after the cruise.
- Disney Cruise Line asks that you print the Onboard Airline Check-In form from the Disney Cruise Line site and present it during check-in.
Port Canaveral:
- Your flight must depart from Orlando International Airport (MCO) on the same day of disembarkation after 11:25 AM.
- You must be flying with one of these participating airlines: Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue, or United Airlines (Domestic Destinations Only).
- Your flight must depart from Miami International Airport on the same day of disembarkation after 11:30 AM.
- There are weight and quantity restrictions on your luggage and fees will be charged to your onboard account
- You must be flying with one of these participating airlines: American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, or United Airlines (Domestic Destinations Only).
Avoid lines at Shutters and Guest Services
On the last night of your cruise, everyone will queue to look through their photos at the onboard photo service Shutters lines may be quite long. If at all possible, take care of this earlier in the day.
Attend the first See Ya’ Real Soon party
It’s a neat chance to get one last photo with the characters, as well as enjoy a farewell wave from all the characters onboard. Often (but not always), two of these events are offered – one at 4:30 pm and one at 10:15 pm. If you have the choice, attend the 4:30 show. In our experience, it will be much less crowded, because people are just getting back on board from the day or still in their staterooms getting ready for dinner.
You have 3 choices with your luggage.
Express Walk Off
The first is to carry ALL of your luggage off the ship yourself, which DCL calls “Express Walk Off” . If you do this, you do not need to use the character luggage tags that were left in your room.
Luggage Pickup in the Cruise Terminal
The second choice is what you need to do if you wish to claim your luggage in the cruise terminal building the next morning. To do this you must put your luggage in the hallway, right outside your room door, no later than 10:00 PM on the last night of your cruise. Be sure to put the character luggage tags on before you do this. We always leave 2 carry -on bags with us so that we can put our toiletries and pyjamas in them the next morning. Also, don’t forget to leave a change of clothes out to wear the next day so that you don’t have to wear your pyjamas off the ship.
Onboard Airline Check-in
The third choice is what you need to do if you are participating in onboard airline check-in (and thus taking DCL transfers to the airport). You need to put the airline luggage tags on your bags and put your luggage in the hallway, right outside your room door, no later than 10:00 PM on the last night. You will not see them again until you get to your home airport. You already have your boarding passes, so when you get to the airport the next morning, all you have to do is get off the bus and walk straight to security.
Debarkation Breakfast
You have 2 choices for breakfast unless you are concierge , and then you have 3.
Main Dining Room
Your first option is to go to the main dining room at your assigned time and be served by your servers one last time. If you have early dining, your breakfast will be about 6:45. If you have late dining, it will be about 8:00. You will go to the same restaurant where you dined the night before on the final night of your cruise.
If you do this, they will ask you not to leave any luggage in your room when you leave for breakfast so that your stateroom host can start cleaning your room ASAP. This means that you will have to bring your carry-ons with you if you set your luggage out the night before, or all of your luggage if you plan to do Express Walk Off. There will be an area outside of the restaurant where everyone places their luggage while dining.
Buffet Restaurant Cabanas
Your second choice is to go to the buffet restaurant, Cabanas, for breakfast.
Order Room Service | Sailing Concierge ONLY
If you are sailing concierge, you have a third option . You can order room service, but you will only be able to get cold items (fruit, cereal, pastries, etc). All other mornings you can order hot items like pancakes, waffles, bacon, omelets, french toast, etc. but not on the final morning. There will also be light breakfast offerings in the concierge lounge.
Important Timings
10:00 PM the night before disembarking – all luggage must be in hallway unless you want to carry it off the ship.
6:45 AM – Your breakfast time in the main dining room if you have early dining.
7:00 AM – Buffet restaurant on the pool deck opens.
7:00-7:45 AM – the most likely time range that the ship will be cleared by customs and an announcement will be made that those doing Express Walk Off may leave the ship. It could be later than this but not likely.
8:00 AM – You and your stuff must be out of your stateroom.
8:00 AM – Your breakfast time in the main dining room if you have late dining.
9:00 AM – If you are still on the ship, crew members will begin asking you nicely to leave.
Leaving the Ship
Your room key will be scanned one last time and there will be boxes as you leave for you to drop your comment cards into. You will enter the terminal and go down an escalator into the luggage room.
If you put your luggage out the night before and need to get it, you need to remember which character was on your luggage tags. The room is very large and has sections labelled with a sign for each character.
Go to that section and look for your luggage. They try to have all of your bags together in one spot so it should be quick and easy to locate all of your bags. There will be porters available with carts to help you with your luggage if you need them. Once you have all of your luggage, you (and your porter if you use one) will proceed to the customs line.
This is a good time to make sure you have a little bit of cash left. Don’t forget to tip your Porter accordingly.

Disney Cruises From Miami in 2024 & 2025
Image © Disney
The future of regularly-scheduled Disney Cruises from Miami is very much in doubt.
Consider the following:
- Miami had been a regularly-scheduled departure port for Disney Cruise Line since late 2012, but no Miami departures have been scheduled since the Disney Magic last set sail from there on October 5, 2023
- On November 20, 2023, Disney began year-round departures from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale — a mere 30 miles away from PortMiami — and solidified its long-term commitment by constructing a dedicated cruise terminal building there
- Disney’s entire 2024 departure schedule has been released, and Miami is completely absent for the first time in 12 years
- Disney has released 2025 sail dates through late October, with Miami again absent from the schedule so far
For these reasons, we believe it is highly unlikely that Miami will be a regular departure port for Disney Cruise Line for the foreseeable future.
One potential saving grace, however, is that Disney Cruise calendar for the entire fleet is being continually adjusted due to the additions of the newest Disney Cruise ships (Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, Disney Adventure, and another ship yet to be built). It remains to be seen if any of those will spend time departing from Miami in the future — but again, we would be somewhat surprised if they did.
We will keep you updated on the latest developments regarding the schedules and itineraries for the 2025 Disney cruises. Contact The Vacationeer for the latest Disney cruise pricing and availability.

Airports for Disney Miami Cruises
Flying into Miami International Airport (MIA) is the most convenient option for reaching the Port of Miami (unless you prefer to drive and don’t mind paying for parking).
Which Airport Should I Fly Into for a Disney Miami Cruise?
The main airport for cruising out of Miami is Miami International Airport (MIA). It is located approximately 8 miles from the Port of Miami.
Another option is Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), about 25 miles from the Port of Miami.
For cruises from Miami, it’s best to fly into Miami International Airport since it’s much closer to the Port of Miami. However, there could be cheaper or more convenient flights to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport . In that case, you may prefer that option. However, you will still need to take a taxi, rideshare, or shuttle service (which is more expensive than transportation from MIA).
What is the Best Way to Get from the Miami Airport to PortMiami?
The most suitable and convenient mode of transportation from Miami International Airport to PortMiami depends on your priorities and budget. Renting a car is an option, but it can be expensive. A popular alternative is to take a rideshare, taxi, or shuttle service.
We prefer using a rideshare app like Uber or booking Disney’s official airport shuttle .
If you are looking for the cheapest way to get to PortMiami, take a ridesharing app like Uber or a taxi. For a seamless Disney experience, the official shuttle from Disney Cruise Line is the best option. Even though it provides a smooth and stress-free experience, a per-person fee is associated with it, which can become expensive for a family.
The cruise terminal is only 8 miles away, but traffic can be unpredictable. So allow extra time for your trip.
How Much does an Uber Cost from the Miami Airport to PortMiami?
The price of an Uber ride can fluctuate significantly based on your selected vehicle type and the distance traveled. Here is a rough estimate of the cost for an Uber ride from Miami International Airport (MIA) or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to the Disney Cruise Line terminal located at the Port of Miami.
The estimated cost of an Uber from MIA to Port of Miami (8 miles):
- Uber X or Uber Green : $17.26
- Uber XL : $28.32
The estimated cost of an Uber from FLL to Port of Miami (25 miles):
- Uber X or Uber Green : $37.28
- Uber XL : $66.07
How Much are Taxis from the Airport to the Port of Miami?
Taxis offer convenient transportation to the Port of Miami but are more expensive than similar ridesharing services like Uber.
- Taxis are estimated to cost $39.44 from MIA to the Port of Miami.
- Taxis are estimated to cost $96.11 from FLL to the Port of Miami.
Adding a tip to your Uber or taxi fare will increase these estimates.
How Much are Shuttles from Miami Airport to the PortMiami Hotels?
The cost of shuttles from Miami International Airport to PortMiami-area hotels varies depending on the type of shuttle service you choose. Although shared shuttles are a budget-friendly alternative, they often have a per-person pricing structure which may not be the most cost-effective option for larger groups. In such cases, dedicated vehicles such as Uber, Lyft, or taxis may be a more economical choice, especially for families. Nevertheless, here are the airport shuttle options.
Official Disney Shuttles
Disney Cruise Line’s shuttle transfers provide a hassle-free way to travel between Miami International Airport, Port of Miami hotels, and the Port of Miami cruise terminal. With a per-person cost of $21 per leg, round-trip transfers cost $63 if you stay at a hotel or $42 for airport-to-port transfers. While the price may seem steep for families, the convenience and seamless connection to your Disney experiences makes it a worthwhile investment. The drivers also handle your luggage, making the journey even more stress-free.
Booking these transfers is simple: schedule a pickup, and the shuttle will take you to your desired destination. Reservations are required with Disney Cruise Line or a Disney Travel Agent.
Unofficial Airport Shuttles
Several independent shuttle companies offer a range of options for cruise-goers, including shared bus service, private mini buses, limos, and other private and shared vehicle options. Express Shuttle Miami, Jayride, GoAirportShuttle, AirportShuttles, and AmericanShuttle provide reliable and cost-effective transportation solutions for individuals or larger groups. These independent shuttles are an excellent alternative for those who want more control over their transportation arrangements, and the pricing can vary dramatically based on the vehicle you choose.
Even with these third-party shuttles, we still recommend the Disney Cruise Line shuttle for its competitive pricing and reliable service.
For ground transfers, call DCL at (800) 951-3532 to verify availability or contact The Vacationeer for assistance. The Vacationeer can handle your arrangements, saving you time and stress.

The Disney Cruise Line Now Sails Out of the Port of Miami
July 14, 2022 by Christine Rush
For those that have sailed with Disney Cruise Line before or have researched an itinerary, most likely Port Canaveral was the port of embarkation. Disney’s terminal there is just what you would expect, including a big Mickey-outlined doorway to walk through onto the ship.
But did you know Disney also leaves from Miami, Florida? In fact, the Disney Dream (my favorite ship at this moment ) has recently moved to the Port of Miami. They started sailing some new itineraries that my family was the first to embark on.
Port of Miami
The Port of Miami proudly welcomed the Disney Dream to her new home port. The embarkation process and terminal were fabulous. We were on the ship within 20 minutes of pulling up to the curbside.
We flew in the night before (strongly recommended) and stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel. What a beautiful sight to wake up and look out our window to see the Disney Dream patiently waiting for us to board. A quick 7-minute ride ($12 Uber) to the port. Our credentials were checked by a DCL cast member and we were on our way onto the ship.
The Disney Dream now sails 4 and 5-night itineraries with stops in Cozumel, Mexico, Grand Cayman Islands, and of course, Castaway Cay.
My family was on the first Disney Dream sailing to Cozumel, Mexico, and what a welcome we received. The port employees and the hosts of our excursion were beyond thankful and grateful that we chose to disembark in their beautiful city.
We booked the Fury Catamaran Sail Snorkel and Beach Party (CZ12). My family absolutely loved this excursion. The boat ride over to the snorkel lagoon was breathtaking and the coral reef and marine life were nothing short of spectacular. Afterward, we reboarded the catamaran and sailed to a private beach with lots to do including kayaking, paddle boarding, aqua park and just relaxing on our lounge chairs.
Castaway Cay- Disney’s Private Island
There’s nothing quite like a stop in Castaway Cay – Disney’s private island paradise. This pristine island oasis is everything you would imagine Disney to be in the Bahamas. From its cleanliness to its landscaping and everything in between. It’s our favorite day of all of our Disney cruises. You can soar through the sky while parasailing, pedal through scenic routes on a bike ride, and complete a 5K run, earning a medal (see below) all by lunchtime!
If you’re thinking about a Disney Cruise Line vacation, I would not hesitate to book one of the Dream’s itineraries out of the Port of Miami. I couldn’t have asked for a better 5-night getaway with my family.

Disney Cruise Line Tips for First Timers
D isney Cruises can be so much fun for families. In addition to the daily port visits, you will also enjoy activities, shows, fun kids’ clubs, delicious food, character greetings, shopping, and so much more.
If you are headed out on your first Disney Cruise Line cruise, you’ll definitely want to be prepared. Preparing for a cruise can often be stressful for families, especially if you aren’t sure what to expect. Since we absolutely want you to have the best experience, here are a collection of Disney Cruise Line tips for first timers.
Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links, and purchasing and/or clicking on some of the links (or calling the number) may result in a commission paid to us at no additional cost to you. We’ve been on a media preview cruise and two cruises as part of Disney Social Media Moms (as well as 12+ cruises that I paid for on my own). All opinions are my own.
Book Your Disney Cruise
First, you’ll want to book your cruise. If you really aren’t sure what to do, it’s a good idea to go with a Disney travel agent, who can help you remember key dates (for final payments, etc). Otherwise, you can book directly through Disney. You’ll need to research sailing dates, ships, itineraries, and stateroom categories before you book.
When booking a Disney Cruise, I recommend booking with Get Away Today. Plus, when you mention Family Travel Magazine, you get an extra $25 on board credit! Give their agents a call at 877-510-2929.
Think about the type of experience you want to have. Obviously, an Alaskan cruise is much different than a Caribbean cruise. For a first cruise, I like the Disney Wish 3-day itinerary. It’s a good way to get started cruising, without too much risk. Many families even combine that agenda with a Walt Disney World trip for a Disney land and sea vacation .
Disney Cruise Line currently has five ships (the Dream, the Fantasy, the Wish, the Magic, and the Dream). While these ships do vary in size and amenities, I would generally recommend starting with the itinerary you want to go, rather than the ship.
You’ll also have your choice of staterooms. My family typically books a family stateroom with verandah. I like being able to stand out on the verandah throughout the day, and it also extends the room a bit. Other options include interior, oceanview (but no balcony), and concierge rooms.
When you book, you’ll also choose a seating time for dinner. I prefer the earlier time when traveling with my kids. Be sure to select a time when booking your cruise, and if your preferred time isn’t available, you can get on the waitlist.
Research Your Disney Cruise
After you’ve paid your deposit, it’s a good idea to do some research – about the ship, and the ports of call. You’ll find that there are so many excursions offered, and you’ll want to book them ahead of time because they do fill up.
Keep in mind the ages of your kids – some of the excursions are definitely too challenging for younger kids, but the Disney Cruise Line website does a fantastic job showing that info. You should also research the different entertainment and dining options available on board, that way you know exactly what to expect.
Remember that you don’t have to do an excursion in every port, if you don’t want to. There’s always the option to explore on your own, or to stay on the ship.
In Grand Cayman , for instance, I booked a day stay at a hotel on Seven Mile Beach. I contacted the hotel directly for that, and just took a cab to and from our destination. Just keep in mind that you’ll be responsible for getting yourself back to the ship in time at the end of the day. If you don’t want to be worried about that, booking an official excursion is your best option.
Book Hotel, Airfare, and Transportation
I always recommend arriving the night before sailing if you are flying into your port of call. That will help avoid the potential of flight delays.
If flying into Orlando International Airport , I like to stay at the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport (see the reviews on TripAdvisor and book here ). You should also plan transportation to the port.
When we sail out of Port Canaveral , I prefer to take the Disney shuttles, which makes it nice and easy. Port Miami and Port Everglades (in Fort Lauderdale) are very close to the respective airports, which makes it easy to get there.
Check In For Your Disney Cruise
As a first-timer, you’ll be able to check-in 75 days before sailing. Disney Castaway Club members are able to check in earlier, which means that you may find some excursions that are already booked up by the time you check-in.
I definitely recommend that you already know which excursions you want, so you can book them right after checking in. Prepare a second and third choice option as well.
At this time, you’ll also fill out the guest information form, the payment authorization form for your on board purchases, and some other forms. If you need special services when on board, this is the time to request them.
You can also book certain on board experiences, like a meal at Palo. Because you’ll be one of the last to check in, you’ll want to do it right when your booking window opens. Your cruise will have to be all paid off before you are able to book anything.
Prep Door Decorations and Fish Extenders
If you aren’t aware, many Disney Cruise Line guests participate in a fun little unofficial program called Fish Extenders . Essentially, you get together with other families and swap little gifts throughout your cruise. It’s completely optional, but can be a fun thing to do. My fish extender post contains all of the information that you need to know.
In addition, many families decorate their stateroom doors, so you’ll want to check out my post on decorating your Disney Cruise Line stateroom door if you are interested in doing that.
Most families do some form of decorating, so you’ll probably want to do at least something. It’s a good way to be able to identify your door among the sea of doors that look exactly the same.
A relatively new tradition on cruise ships (not just Disney) is cruise ducks. It’s completely unofficial, but some guests hide rubber ducks on the ship for others to find. You can learn more about cruise ducks on this post.
Shop Before Your Trip and Pack Appropriately
There are shops on the ship, but they aren’t open when the ship is in port, and they have a limited selection of merchandise. So, you’ll want to have everything you need in your suitcase . Be sure to pack any medications you definitely need, as well as anything that you may potentially need on your trip.
Bags are delivered throughout the afternoon and evening, so you’ll want to pack a day bag for the first day on the Disney Cruise Line . We typically put essentials, sunscreen, medications, electronics, and evening dinner apparel in our day bag.
That way, if our suitcases don’t show up before dinner, we are still prepared. We also put our door decorations in that day bag so we can start decorating right away.
You won’t be able to get in your room until the early afternoon, so you won’t want your day bag to be too heavy. If your kids are older, you may want everyone in your family to carry a small backpack to spread out the weight.
If you are traveling to a warm weather destination, you may find yourself wearing a bathing suit much of the day. In that case, you may not need as many daily clothing items as you’d expect.
We often rewear things on a longer cruise because we aren’t wearing them for more than a few hours. Overpacking isn’t a big deal – but keep in mind that there isn’t tons of space in your stateroom.
If your ship will have a pirate night , you may want to bring pirate apparel. It’s totally optional, but many guests do dress up. We never dress up for pirate night, but we are generally in the minority. You’ll see all levels of pirate dress, from t-shirts and bandanas to full costumes.
Bring whatever you are comfortable in. Kids may like to have glow sticks for pirate night as well.
There are a few cruise specific things you may want to bring. The doors in the room are magnetic, and along with door decorations, I like to bring magnetic hooks.
That gives us a few places to hang wet clothes beyond the shower. I bought ours at the Container Store, but these from Amazon.com are similar. You may also want to purchase autograph books in advance. They are also available on the ship, but shops don’t open on the first day until after you set sail.
If you are participating in a fish extender exchange , in addition to your gifts, you’ll want to buy or make a fish extender. There are lots of options on Etsy. Fish extenders can be as deluxe or as basic as your want. I’ve seen some people use a tote bag, while others have personalized, embroidered fish extenders.
Activities on the Ship
Even if your kids don’t generally love kids’ clubs, they’ll probably love the clubs on the Disney Cruise Line. As a result you may find yourself with some free time.
When you book at the activities available to book on the app, you’ll probably see some availability for beverage seminars. These are adult-only, and include martini tasting, wine tasting, and mixology. I’ve done most of them, and we always enjoy them.
During your cruise, you’ll be using the Disney Cruise Line app often. You’ll want to download that while you are still able to access cellular data. The app includes a daily schedule, menus, and information about the various ports of call on the trip.
You can also communicate with other passengers on the ship using the app, even if you don’t purchase WiFi or have cellular service turned on. My family regularly uses the app to communicate because it’s a great way to keep in touch as we head in different directions throughout the day.
Disney’s Castaway Club
Once you’ve completely your first sailing on the Disney Cruise Line, you’ll be a member of Disney’s Castaway Club. Castaway Club members receive a lanyard at check in.
For your first sailing, you won’t receive one. They are pretty handy to have, however, so you may want to bring a regular lanyard or purchase one on board to hold your Key to the World card.
Disney Cruise Line is rolling out MagicBand use on the ships. These are optional, and you do have to purchase them separately.
You won’t have to sign up to become a member of the Castaway Club – it just happens when you complete your first sailing. There are four levels of the club, and you’ll get different perks and benefits as you sail more times.
What’s Included on a Disney Cruise Line trip
As you budget for your Disney Cruise Line trip, you’ll probably want to know what’s included. Alcohol, packaged snacks, premium coffee, popcorn, excursions, premium meals (in Remy, Enchante, and Palo), photos, the spa, and the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique all cost extra. If you don’t prepay your tips, you’ll do that on board as well.

Disney Cruise and Stay Miami: Easy Pre-Cruise Options
Are you looking for the best hotel to stay in Miami before a Disney cruise? Well you’re in the right place!
If you are planning to cruise out of Port of Miami, you are probably wondering where to stay the night before your trip. The Miami area provides so many different hotel options near the cruise port that it can feel a bit overwhelming when trying to find the best one.
If you are traveling with kids, you more than likely want a resort or a hotel that will meet the needs of little ones. So, what is the best hotel in Miami for your Disney cruise?
Those families looking for a bit of luxury (along with some amazing amenities for the whole family) should consider booking the Four Seasons Hotel Miami through Disney Cruise Line.
This hotel is near the port and offers kid-friendly restaurants and super fun pools. My family and I stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel Miami the night before our Disney cruise on the Disney Magic cruise ship.
The outstanding service and easy transportation options to the port really sold me on this hotel. In this post, I will provide a full review of our pre cruise stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Miami, including all the fantastic amenities it provided for our kids!
Disney Hotels Miami
My family and I have cruised out of Port Canaveral on several occasions, and we find it super easy. We like to spend our pre-cruise night at the hotel inside the Orlando airport.
Not only is this hotel conveniently located for those flying into Orlando, but it’s also a short walk to the Disney Cruise Line shuttle service to the port. The morning of your cruise, you just board the Disney Cruise Line bus to head to Port Canaveral.
After booking a cruise out of Miami, I wanted to find a Disney cruise and stay option that was equally convenient as the one in Orlando. Since we didn’t want to spend our pre cruise night staying at the hotel inside the Miami airport, I decided to research the Disney hotels in Miami.
During our trip, Disney Cruise Line offered the choice of two different hotels in the Miami area for pre cruise stays: EB Hotel and Four Seasons Miami. The first hotel option was located near the airport. However, it was going to require a lot of back and forth travel the morning of our cruise.
Since we wanted to see a bit of the city of Miami in the most convenient way, I ultimately decided to book the Four Seasons Hotel Miami through Disney Cruise Line.
Because I reserved our hotel room as part of our cruise package, Disney Cruise Line took care of the travel organization for us. This included the use of the Disney shuttle from the Four Seasons Hotel to the Port of Miami.
Disney Cruise Miami Port Hotels
Disney Cruise Line sometimes changes their preferred hotels at cruise ports. Regardless of which hotel you choose to book, you can add-on the use of the Disney Cruise Line ground transportation to easily get from one place to another.
Note that you don’t have to book ground transfers through Disney as you can choose to drive yourself, hire a car service, or use a ride share company. However, my experience has been with flying into the Miami airport and utilizing the Disney ground transfers. Therefore, I will explain how that works below.
If you book one of the Disney cruise Miami port hotels and the transportation service, your arrangements may go one of two ways:
First, if your hotel is near the airport (like the EB Hotel), you will take the EB Hotel’s shuttle to the hotel after you arrive at the airport. On embarkation day, you will take the EB shuttle back to the Miami airport where you’ll board a Disney Cruise Line shuttle to the port.
↓↓ Visit My Etsy Shop ↓↓
A second way that your arrangement may work is that DCL will arrange for a driver to pick you up at the Miami airport. The driver will take you to the Miami Disney hotel that you booked. On the morning of embarkation day , a shuttle organized through Disney Cruise Line will pick you up at the hotel to take you to the port.
Either way, my family and I find that booking our hotel and transportation through Disney Cruise Line really allows us to start our vacation on a relaxing tone. If you’re curious about Disney’s current Miami hotels, you can check out their options here .
Four Seasons Hotel in Miami
If the Four Seasons Hotel Miami is available for your upcoming Disney cruise, you may be interested in a full review of the hotel. In that case, we will provide an account of our time spent at this beautiful hotel below.
My husband and I had never visited Miami, and we had quite frankly heard mixed reviews of the city. We ended up being pleasantly surprised by the downtown Miami area.
The Four Seasons Hotel is located in the financial district of downtown Miami on Brickell Avenue. This hotel and the surrounding buildings all looked clean and modern.
Locals and tourists walked and jogged right in front of the hotel, so it seemed to be in a safe area of the city. We passed a few grocery stores, pharmacies, and restaurants on our drive to the hotel.
The arena where the Miami Heat basketball team plays is also located near the Four Seasons Hotel. In fact, we saw several of the opposing team’s players leaving the Four Seasons as we arrived. My husband was in heaven!
Right as we arrived, this bellman grabbed our luggage and walked us into the ground floor entrance to the Four Seasons. You have to take an elevator up to the seventh floor where the hotel lobby is located. This is also where you find the pool terrace.
The check-in process was super simple, and the Four Seasons had our room ready even though we had arrived before the official check in time.
Once we completed check-in, a Four Seasons employee wheeled over a wagon full of stuffed animals. She welcomed us to the hotel and told my two girls that they could each choose a plush toy to keep.
Then, she asked my husband and I if we would each like a glass of wine from a table in the lobby. Um, sure!! We then headed up to our room with wine and stuffed animals in hand.
Four Seasons Miami Hotel Room
The same friendly bellman brought our luggage to the room right after we arrived We changed into our swimsuits so we could enjoy the pools before the sun set.
I snapped some photos of the hotel room before we headed out. Below, you can see just how nice the Four Seasons Miami hotel rooms are for families.
Our specific room featured a king-sized bed and a small sitting area. (Since I added the hotel room to our cruise package kind of last minute, the rooms with two beds were sold out.)
This wasn’t a big deal at all though. We just called housekeeping and asked for a rollaway bed. We are okay with fitting three of us in a king bed, but four people would be pushing it.
The room attendant who set up the cot told me that the Four Seasons also provides bed rails upon request. We decided not to use the rails; though. Instead, I just pushed the rollaway bed against the window seat pictured above.
I slept on the rollaway cot with my toddler. It was actually one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in! You can see the rollaway bed pushed up against the window seat in the picture below.
The desk in the room held some additional information about the hotel. It also contained a calendar of events for the month we were visiting.
I thought this was a really nice touch as it listed sporting events, concerts, festivals, etc. taking place in Miami during your stay. If you planned on staying in Miami for multiple nights, you could easily find activities based on the events in the pamphlet.
Although we didn’t consume any of the beverages, the Four Seasons hotel rooms offer a mini bar with snacks and drinks for an additional cost. You will also find a coffee/espresso machine in the room, which is free to use.
Overall, the room was the perfect size for the four of us, and the bathroom just blew us away! My six-year-old was highly impressed with the size and amenities in the bathroom.
You can see from the photos above that the bathroom included a large shower, separate tub, vanity, and robes.
Once we organized the hotel room with the rollaway bed, we headed outside to enjoy the multiple pools at the Four Seasons. As you enter the pool terrace, you will see a stand with towels and refreshments.
This is where you can pick up and return your pool towels. Ice water and sunscreen are also offered for guests to use for free. Since we were visiting in the month of December, I was worried that the outside temperature would feel too cold to swim.
However, the weather happened to be sunny with a high in the mid 80’s during our December stay. The main pool is the first pool you pass after the towel stand.
This pool sees a lot of shade during the afternoon hours, so it didn’t feel super warm to us. This is probably welcomed in the hot and humid summer months though.
You will see several cabanas next to this main pool, and they look really cute and cozy. I believe they were first come first serve during our visit.
Only one cabana was being used while we were there, so they had plenty of availability. Again, this may not be the case during hot summer months, though.
Once you walk past the main pool, you see the really shallow Palm Grove Pool. This amazingly beautiful swimming area features palm trees with hammocks.
Since this pool was in the sunshine and featured shallow water for our toddler, we almost put our belongings down here. However, we quickly noticed the little kids’ swimming area. This small outdoor section is in a gated area, and it held both toddler and adult sized loungers.
The kiddie pool play area also offered a giant Connect 4 game to play, which was really fun for our older daughter.
We claimed a spot by this kiddie pool because it was in the sun, and it allowed our toddler to have more freedom to roam around in an enclosed space.
Restaurants
The Four Seasons has several restaurants on property, but my family and I chose to eat dinner at Bahia. This pool lounge was the perfect dining spot for us since we were still wearing swimsuits and coverups.
Bahia wasn’t busy at all, so we were able to easily grab a table. A server came out to take our orders immediately.
My husband has dietary restrictions, and the waiter was able to recommend some gluten free options for him to try. I had the tacos, and they were really good as well. I’m including a photo of the kids’ menu below for those who are interested.
My toddler ordered the peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and it came grilled. I’m not going to lie; I think I ate half of it myself because it was just so good!
In Room Dining
The next day, we ordered room service for breakfast to help our morning with little ones run more smoothly.
The menu for In Room Dining is in your room at check-in, and I have included photos of it below.
Our food arrived promptly and tasted delicious. After eating, we headed down to the ground floor lobby to wait for the motor coach that would take us to Port of Miami for our Disney cruise.
You can read our full review of that trip in our Disney Cruise Trip Report from Miami .
Final Thoughts on Disney Cruise and Stay Miami
My family and I really enjoyed our experience at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami since Disney Cruise Line made the process so seamless. If you are sailing out of Miami and looking for a hotel near the port, we highly recommend the Four Seasons Hotel.

Cruise line worker arrested at port everglades for child sexual abuse material, feds say.
Chris Gothner , Digital Journalist
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A Celebrity Cruises crew member appeared in Fort Lauderdale federal court Tuesday after federal agents said they found child sexual abuse material on his phone after he disembarked at Port Everglades the day prior.
According to court documents released Wednesday, agents searched the phone of Dennis Ofrancia De Leon, 44, a Filipino national, after he got off the Celebrity Reflection Monday.

Homeland Security Investigations Special Agent Katherine Leonard wrote in a criminal complaint that a “cursory search” of the device revealed “multiple videos/photographs” depicting child sexual abuse material.
Authorities described videos showing boys and girls being raped or otherwise sexually abused by men or women.
Leonard wrote that De Leon admitted to viewing child sexual abuse material, saying he began receiving it about four years ago through Facebook Messenger and looked at it about “once per month.”
He admitted to viewing content showing victims under the age of 10, the complaint states.
De Leon said he “generally deletes the child pornography he downloads onto his cellphone prior to traveling internationally, but failed to do so on this occasion,” Leonard wrote.
He was taken into custody on federal charges of transportation and possession of child pornography and was being held in the Broward Main Jail on behalf of the U.S. Marshals Service as of Wednesday, according to jail records.
Those records state he’s also being held on an immigration hold.
A spokesperson for Celebrity Cruises told Local 10 News that De Leon was fired following his arrest.
