We Rode Disney’s NEW and Improved Star Tours Ride — Check It Out With Us!

A galaxy far, far away just got a little bit bigger!

Few attractions offer the kind of unique ride experience that Disneyland’s Star Tours — The Adventures Continue offers. First majorly updated in 2010, the ride was once again updated in 2015, 2017, and 2019 to include 700 different ride experiences.  Now in 2024, the ride is once again getting another update!

Star Tours — The Adventures continue at Disneyland, Disney’s Hollywood Studios , and Disneyland Paris all received an update on April 5th, 2024 to reflect new  Star Wars  Disney+ media and we were invited to get a FIRSTHAND LOOK! Check it out!

The new adventures include characters and locations from  Ahsoka, Andor,  and  The Mandalorian.  We got to experience these new adventures and we were absolutely blown away!

The pre-show was the same as usual. Also, our first scene was pod-racing on Tatooine — a scene we have experienced before.

Then came the exciting part — new characters! Din Djarin and Grogu sent a transmission with  The Mandalorian  theme song playing. Grogu snatched a flying frog while Djarin was giving us important intel which made for a fun 3D moment.

Then we made it to a planet featured in Ahsoka.  There, Ahsoka showed up to help us in battle with Purrgil (space whales). Beware — you may almost get eaten by one! We weren’t allowed to grab footage, but we love these new additions to the ride. We only saw the scenes from  Ahsoka  and  The Mandalorian —  we did not get  Andor  on our ride.

Accompanying the new Star Tours update at Disneyland is “Season of the Force” a Star Wars- themed event that will run from April 5th through June 2nd, 2024 . “Season of the Force” will include limited-time  Star Wars- themed food and merchandise as well as Fire of the Rising Moons (a NEW way to view the Disneyland fireworks from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge), Hyperspace Mountain overlay for Space Mountain , Seek and Find at The Star Trader, and Disneyland After Dark:  Star Wars Nite events.

Complete Guide to Star Tours – The Adventures Continue at Hollywood Studios

May the force be with you on this thrilling 3D space flight to legendary destinations from the  Star Wars  saga.

You’ll take to the stars with C-3PO and R2-D2. But watch out for some familiar, less-than-friendly faces like Kylo Ren or Darth Vader!

In 2024, more stories and characters will be added to Star Tours at Hollywood Studios. Further details haven’t been announced just yet, but we will let you know about the changes as soon as we learn more.

New Adventures Coming April 5, 2024

As announced at 2023 Destination D23, beginning April 5, Star Tours will include new locations and adventures from Ahsoka , Andor , and The Mandalorian .

Once added, the ride will have over 250 different adventure combinations for guest to experience.

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue Quick Facts

• Location:   Echo Lake , Hollywood Studios
• Height req : 40 inches
• Suitable for: Anybody 40″ or taller who can handle simulators and some rough movement.
• Attraction length: About 7 minutes
• Do we recommend? Yes, especially for Star Wars fans
• When to visit: 2nd hour
• Scheduled Refurbishments
• Tip(s): The exit area is a great Star Wars gift shop that has areas to build LEGO Star Wars characters and affordable light sabers. If this store seems too busy, you may have better luck at Once Upon a Toy store in Disney Springs where you can get the same items.
• Description: 3D flight simulator that takes guests through one of dozens of different Star Wars experiences including new characters and adventures from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker as well as Star Wars: The Last Jed i and Batuu, the home planet of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue is located in Echo Lake near Backlot Express, a Quick Service restaurant.

Star Tours – The Adventures Continue has a Standby Line and a Lightning Lane. There is no  Single Rider Line .

Do I need to use Genie+ at Star Tours – The Adventures Continue?

Genie+ is available at Star Tours – The Adventures Continue however this wouldn’t be an early priority ride to grab those Genie+ reservations because availability rarely runs out.

This ride is also available for Early Entry to those who qualify.

Rider Switch/Child Swap

Since you must be 40″ to ride Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, this attraction does offer Rider Switch.

Rider Switch is Disney’s system that allows guests with small children to take turns riding bigger rides, while another person/people wait with the little one.

What to Expect when you Ride

The queue at Star Tours – The Adventures Continue is designed to resemble a spaceport terminal.

You’ll see posters advertising voyages to different planets with Star Tours and a large LCD screen informing riders of flight statuses and planetary weather forecasts.

You’ll also see some of your favorite characters like C-3PO and R2-D2, as well as Captain Rex from the original attraction. He occasionally has a power surge and delivers a line from the first Star Tours ride.

Two G2 droids process passengers’ “luggage” on a scanning system that reveals the contents to you as you wait in the queue.

You’ll then retrieve your 3-D “flight glasses” before you are directed by a flight agent to a gate where you’ll wait to board.

While you wait, you’ll be entertained by a pre-show on the screen above you. C-3PO has been assigned to maintenance on the StarSpeeder 1000 that you’re about to board and he gets trapped in the cockpit after the ship’s captain leaves!

Make sure you then pay attention to the safety instructions before you board.

Play Disney Parks  is available for Star Tours – The Adventures Continue. This free mobile app is only available for select attractions and allows guests to pass the time as they play games, trivia, and earn achievements along the way.

Ride Vehicles

The ride vehicles at Star Tours – The Adventures Continue are large 3D flight simulators.

When the door to your flight simulator opens, make your way inside to the last available seat. There are four rows in the simulator and each row contains 10 individual seats with armrests and a place to store your personal items below.

Make sure you buckle up, it’s going to be a bumpy ride!

Accessibility Information

Guests who wish to ride Star Tours – The Adventures Continue must transfer from their ECV to a wheelchair and then to the ride vehicle.

Keep in mind, Disney has issued a warning that those who ride Star Tours – The Adventures Continue should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back, or neck problems. Expectant mothers should not ride.

Video and handheld captioning are available and those under 40″ are not allowed to ride.

Motion Sickness

Since Star Tours – The Adventures Continue is a 3D flight simulator, this ride is highly turbulent and includes sharp turns and sudden bumps which can aggravate motion sickness.

If you prefer to experience Star Tours – The Adventures Continue without spoilers, make sure you skip over this section!

Board your Starspeeder 1000 and prepare for takeoff! While you’re supposed to be heading off on a relaxing tour (hence Star Tours), a series of mishaps ends up launching you early, forcing C-3PO to take control.

But as soon as it appears that your trip is back on track, your ship is intercepted by Imperial — or First Order — forces searching for a Rebel spy. This spy is chosen from one of the guests on your ride vehicle— it could even be you!

To avoid capture and not give up your rebel passenger, you’ll be taken on the ride of a lifetime to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.

Since the attraction features several different segments that are selected randomly, your ride will be different each time! You may end up facing off with First Order villain Kylo Ren, bounty hunter Boba Fett, Princess Leia, or Jedi Master Yoda.

Just a few of the scenes you may encounter is a narrow escape from a battle on the planet Crait, following Scout Troopers as they chase after Chewbacca and a Wookiee warrior on Kashyyk, or discovering the still-to-be-finished Death Star.

With so many story twists, you never know where you’ll go or who you may encounter on your Star Tour!

Is Star Tours – The Adventures Continue Kid-Friendly?

The height requirement for Star Tours – The Adventures Continue is 40″ and there can be some dark moments during the action so this ride is more for older kids, tweens, teens, and adults.

We have a list of things that may scare little ones at Disney World that you can check out, if you’d like.

Strollers are not allowed in most queues or theaters at Walt Disney World.

You’ll need to leave your stroller in the designated stroller parking area near the entrance to the queue at Star Tours – The Adventures Continue.

In 1986 Disney and George Lucas, the creator of  Star Wars , partnered on the Captain EO attraction, a 3-D musical film starring Michael Jackson at Disneyland. Since the partnership was so successful Disney then approached Lucas with the idea for Star Tours.

The original Star Tours ride opened on January 9, 1987 in California’s Disneyland. Two years later, Star Tours opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, then known as Disney’s MGM Studios.

Set in the  Star Wars  universe, the motion simulator attraction sent guests on a tour to Endor, where they got caught in an altercation between the New Republic and an Imperial Remnant. The attraction featured Captain “Rex” RX-24 along with series regulars R2-D2 and C-3PO.

In 1998, Disney began planning to upgrade Star Tours as part of the release of the upcoming 1999 film  Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace , the first film of the new prequel trilogy.

This version would be in 3D and feature new flights. However, since more films for the franchise were in pre-production, officials chose to wait until 2003 when production began on  Revenge of the Sith  before remodeling Star Tours.

In April 2005, at  Star Wars  Celebration III, creator George Lucas confirmed that a revamp of Star Tours was in production. Then at the 2009 D23 Expo it was announced that Star Tours at Disneyland and Hollywood Studios would close in October 2010 for renovations.

The rides would reopen in May and June 2011 as Star Tours – The Adventures Continue.

On August 14, 2010, Hollywood Studios hosted the “Last Tour To Endor” event for Celebration V attendees. This extravaganza included an appearance by George Lucas, character appearances, Jedi Training Academy, Death Star Disco,  Raiders Of The Lost Jedi Temple of Doom: A Fan Film of Epic Proportions  live show, Hyperspace Hoopla, and  Symphony in the Stars  fireworks.

It also included the Star Tours shutdown ceremony which was a live show with C-3PO, R2-D2, Boba Fett, Darth Vader, as well as a few Stormtroopers, culminating in the official power-down of Star Tours.

The ride remained open until September 7, 2010, when the attraction held its “Final Flight to Endor” for D23 members.

In Orlando, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue began soft openings on May 14, 2011, with the official opening held at midnight on May 20, 2011.

Since its opening, the planet Jakku from  The Force Awakens  has been added to the attraction as well as the planet Crait from  The Last Jedi  and Batuu, from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Finally, the ocean moon Kef Bir from  The Rise of Skywalker  was added on December 20, 2019, the film’s release date.

In 2023, Disney announced at Destination D23 that Ahoska would be added to Star Tours in spring 2024 .

Other Fun Details

• Star Tours – The Adventures Continue is inspired by all nine films of the Star Wars Skywalker saga: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, Episode II – Attack of the Clones, Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, Episode IV – A New Hope, Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back, Empire VI – Return of the Jedi, Episode VII – The Force Awakens, Episode VIII – The Last Jedi, and Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker .
• There are Star Tours attractions at four different Disney Parks around the world: Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, and Disneyland in California.

• The exteriors of all four Star Tours attractions are different in their respective parks. The attraction in Florida is inspired by an Ewok village on the forest moon of Endor.
• Listen closely just before boarding your spaceship. You may hear a reference to THX1138. THX1138 was in all of the Star Wars movies because it was the name of George Lucas’ first movie, so he included it in all of the Star Wars films as a nod to his origin.
• Other boarding call announcements in the first area of the indoor wait queue gives names that are actually anagrams for people like  Star Wars  creator George Lucas (“Egroeg Sacul”) and Tom Morrow (“Mot Worrom”). When you reach the baggage check area, many different Disney attractions and franchises like Haunted Mansion ,  Toy Story, Aladdin, WALL-E, The Incredibles , and  Captain EO get cameos as G2-9T scans boarding IDs. 
• Paul Reubens, perhaps better known for his famous character, Pee Wee Herman, was actually the voice of Captain RX-24 (Rex) in the original Star Tours ride. He was the pilot talking as R2-D2 was being loaded. In the new version of the ride, you can see him in the droid maintenance section in the queue.

• Patrick Warburton, who is known for delivering the safety spiel before boarding Soarin’ at Epcot and for also voicing Kronk in Emperor’s New Groove , is the voice of security officer G2-4Ton Star Tours — The Adventures Continue. You can spot him as you pass through a series of security scanners.
• As part of the attraction, you’ll see scenes with archival footage of Princess Leia, played by Carrie Fisher. The dialogue, however, is re-recorded. Carrie Fisher collaborated with Imagineers to re-record her dialogue so that it fits the attraction seamlessly.
• While the original Star Tours ride didn’t open until 1989, Imagineers originally had an idea for a simulator ride themed to another Disney movie. The 1979 live-action film  The Black Hole  followed astronauts investigating a mysterious spaceship inside a black hole, but it was a commercial flop. This, combined with the high costs for the planned ride, led to the concept being scrapped. It wasn’t until Disney partnered with George Lucas and Lucasfilm in 1986, that the simulator idea was revisited, this time with Star Wars in mind.

It’s nice to have a friend, and Taylor Swift has plenty of famous pals that have been supporting her on her massive The Eras tour, which kicked off on March 17 in Glendale, Ariz.

Besides friends such as Haim, Laura Dern, Emma Stone and Shania Twain watching from the crowd and singing along to every word, Swift also surprised fans with onstage appearances. Despite  telling Swifties during night one  at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium that “we don’t have guests at this show,” the pop superstar invited Marcus Mumford, the  Mumford & Sons  frontman, for her debut live performance of “Cowboy Like Me,” from Swift’s chart-topping 2020 album,  Evermore .

Other music stars have also gotten an invite from Swift to perform alongside her on the tour, including opener Gracie Abrams, frequent collaborator Aaron Dessner, Taylor Lautner, Phoebe Bridgers, Ice Spice, Maren Morris and more.

See below for all the celebrities who have made appearances at Swift’s The Eras tour stops, either in the audience or on stage, which we’ll be updating as the 14-time Grammy winner makes her way around the world.

Swift’s “No Body, No Crime” collaborators, “Bejeweled” music video co-stars and besties Haim were one of the first celebs spotted at The Eras tour, jamming along to the superstar’s many hits and dancing the night away on opening night.

The La La Land actress was just as much of a Swiftie as the rest of the Glendale crowd when she was spotted belting her heart out to the Fearless hit, “Love Story.”

Marcus Mumford

The Mumford and Sons frontman joined his longtime friend Swift onstage to perform Evermore ‘s “Cowboy Like Me” in Las Vegas.

“Last night in Vegas Marcus Mumford showed up and surprised the crowd with ‘Cowboy Like Me’ so like [mind blown emojis],” Swift captioned a photo of the moment on Instagram. See the post here.

After taking her family to opening night of The Eras tour, Swift’s “Bejeweled” co-star took to Instagram to share a snap smiling with the superstar. “Celebrating our amazing buddy’s first show of tour. Extraordinary. Found family,” she captioned the post, which you can see here.

Yes, yet another Emma was at The Eras’ Vegas stop, as she was spotted taking videos and dancing with sunglasses on to the tune of “Style.”

Former Arizona Cardinals defensive end J.J. Watt took to Instagram to rave about his experience at opening night of The Eras tour. “So much respect @taylorswift,” he captioned a video sharing his thoughts about the concert. “When your fans pay for a ticket, they are getting their money’s worth and some.”

Matty Healy  was spotted at Swift‘s concert in Nashville on Friday (May 5), sparking further speculation that the two music stars are romantically involved.

Earlier in the week,  rumors surfaced  that the  The 1975  frontman and pop superstar are “massively proud and excited about this relationship,” according to a source cited by  The Sun . The report followed news of Swift’s split from her longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn in early April.

At the show, during her performance of “Cardigan,” fans were quick to notice Swift mouthing the same words to that Healy was  filmed saying  before The 1975’s performance of “About You” in Manila on May 3.

Former The Vampire Diaries star Candice King was among the Swifties who attended the rain-delayed show in Nashville on May 7. “A Four hour weather delay (and every canned cocktail we brought in our to go cooler… and then maybe some of the canned cocktails our driver surprised us with) later… and the show went on!” the actress captioned a carousel of photos and videos on her Instagram account. “So much running, so much dancing, and even more singing all in the warm spring midnight rain.”

"Saturday Night Live" star Darrell Hammond isn't laughing about Thursday's presidential debate ... and is instead issuing a very stern warning regarding the country's future.

Darrell famously used to impersonate Donald Trump , Al Gore and Bill Clinton on 'SNL' ... but he told us he saw nothing funny about Thursday night's presidential face-off, calling the whole event sad and potentially dangerous.

This might sound odd coming from Darrell, who lampooned Trump for years, but he says fans should avoid mocking Trump's mannerisms ... because it makes him seem less dangerous.

These days, he thinks voters should take very seriously Trump's prior comments about wanting to become a dictator.

As for Biden? The 'SNL' announcer has empathy for 46, and says jokes about the president's frailty are cruel and unfunny ... as Biden clearly appeared not well through much of the debate ... something political pundits on both sides of the aisles have highlighted.

That being said, there's no doubt 'SNL' will tackle the presidential election when it returns this fall ... and DH thinks creator Lorne Michaels will find a way to appropriately add humor to the situation.

Though, Darrell has no plans to play 45 again -- cast member James Austin Johnson handles that these days -- he does say it was all fun and games in 2016, when everyone thought Trump's candidacy was a joke.

Darrell's no longer laughing, and thinks trying to create jokes from this situation is dangerous.

Darrell says there's no update yet on who will impersonate Trump or Biden on the upcoming 50th season of 'SNL.'

Jason Sudeikis , Taran Killam , and Alec Baldwin have all played Trump ... along with Darrel and James.

I NEVER thought China would be the place where I’d conquer my fear of heights.

Glass bridges, glass elevators and mountain zip lines elevated my trip with Wendy Wu Tours.

Irish passport holders can now travel to China visa-free and I was lucky enough to experience how Wendy makes a trip extra-ordinary.

Arriving in Changsha, the capital of central China’s Hunan province, the tallest skyscrapers sprawled across the city.

Staff at Meixi Lake Hotel welcomed us with the warmest smiles, Chinese tea and a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

That was a gorgeous welcome before we started our tour with a visit to see a 2000 year old mummy of ‘Lady Xin Zhui’ in Hunan Museum.

She had been the wife of the Chancellor of the Changsha Kingdom and is believed to have died in 168 BC.

It wasn’t until 1971 her tomb was found containing her well-preserved remains and 1,400 artefacts.

Then in a completely different change of pace, we went for dinner at a 90’s retro complex, in Wenheyou Restaurant, was an experience I’ll never forget.

The complex was packed with street stalls, diners, shops and a cable cart.

The plates of food seemed to never stop arriving at our table.

We ate crayfish, spicy beans, tomato with sugar and jelly soup to name but a few.

For foodies who like to try spicy things, this is the city to do it.

From “stinky tofu” to spicy crayfish, there’s lots to try.

Dubbed ‘Star City’, Changsa is certainly a magical place that will keep surprising you.

We took in the sights on a dinner cruise along Orange Island on the Xiang Jiang River.

As we sailed along the world’s longest River Island, all the skyscrapers began illuminating.

LED lights danced across high rise buildings in vibrant colours.

A band performed as we sipped drinks and took in the glistening lights and beautiful scenery.

Another must see is the Yue Lu Academy, a prestigious institution that’s over 1,000 years old.

Ranking the third oldest operating university in the world, its set on magnificent grounds with intriguing Asian architecture.

I loved taking a stroll around Pozi Street with its animated street vendors, motorbikes honking, and unique smells.

'AVATAR MOUNTAINS'

Our trip continued with a bullet train ride to visit the “Avatar Mountains” of the surreal Zhangjiajie.

Located in the northwest of Hunan Province, it’s one of the first World Natural Heritage Sites in China.

Little did I know before going on this trip, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park (and with the help of Wendy Wu) is the place I would conquer my fear of heights.

Being surrounded by over 3,000 quartzite sandstone pillars, I felt I wanted to experience every single moment.

I went from tip toeing across a glass walkway on day one to zip lining across mountains by the end.

Our adventure kicked off with a ride on the world’s tallest outdoor glass lift, the Bailong Elevator.

The glass box whisked us up 326 metres in 88 seconds to the most breathtaking mountain views.

Being surrounded by over 3,000 quartzite sandstone pillars of Zhangjiajie, it felt like a different planet.

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992, the park has endless sights to explore.

With so many outdoor activities on our schedule for Zhangjiajie, I felt I was in nature’s theme park.

BAOFENG LAKE

The next day we enjoyed a relaxing cruise down Baofeng Lake, southeast of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.

As we sailed through the mountain sides of the Wulingyuan scenic area, locals in passing by boats serenaded us with folk songs.

Day three got our hearts racing with a 7,455 metres cable car ride up Tianmen Mountain.

Known as the longest passenger cableway of high mountains in the world, I felt on top of the world.

Then it was time for me to take on the glass walkway in Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain at 1430 metres at highest elevation.

I was delighted to see there was a small ledge on the side for breathing time.

Little did I realise I would be walking the World’s Highest Glass Bridge the very next day at Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon.

GRAND CANYON

My fear of heights was definitely conquered, as I lay down on the glass with the valley below.

While the world highest Bungee Jump at Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon wasn’t on my list, I did survive a thrilling 300 metre zip line across the valley.

After all the adrenaline adventures, I decided to unwind with some shopping at Zhangjiajie’s high street.

I was surprised to discover a bustling city centre with market sellers, busy shops and lively restaurants all alive at 9pm.

We were treated to some fabulous shows including acrobatic Charming Xiangxi Theatre and the Disney style Tianmen Fox Fairy Show set in the mountains.

A top night time place to visit is the unique 72-floor hotel bursting with a selection of restaurants, gift shops and outdoor theatre shows.

Zhangjiajie brought more interesting food options including salamander, more fish and pigs legs off the bone.

After wrapping up her conversation, Swift stepped into frame in a pink dress and heels, reaching for her partner’s hand as they walked down a ramp.

“THEY ARE DRESSED NICE WHERE ARE THEY GOING?!” one X user asked.

Another gushed , “going on a date after a 3+ hour show?! and they say love is dead.”

Swift, also 34, kicked off her England performances on Friday and rolled right into another show on Saturday.

Kelce was spotted at Wembley Stadium for all three concerts, even making a surprise onstage appearance for the final show.

He joined two of her backup dancers during the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” transition, fanning himself during the songwriter’s subsequent wardrobe change.

Swift will have a few days off before hitting the stage in Dublin next week.

The three-time Super Bowl winner hadn’t met Swift when he first attended an Eras Tour show in Missouri in July 2023 — although he did try to give her his phone number on a friendship bracelet.

While he was “disappointed” Swift didn’t talk to him at the time, news broke two months later that the duo were dating .

When the “Catching Kelce” alum next attended one of her shows in Buenos Aires in November 2023, the couple were caught on camera embracing and kissing .

He has since watched Swift perform in Singapore and Sydney, showing PDA both times.

“Any scumbags in the audience?” Joe Talbot leers at a seething Other Stage crowd by way of introducing the bovver boot chant ‘I’m Scum’. There’s a distinct sense that the outsiders have stormed the gates during IDLES ’ headline set, which pits them against fellow post-punks Fontaines D.C. on the Park Stage. Perhaps the clash gives Talbot and the gang something to prove: this is a bravura show that pops with cartoonish rage and flows with compassion, righteousness… and even a few chuckles along the way.

Talbot sports a shock of pink hair; guitarist Mark Bowen a sort of sheer onesie covered in roses. The frontman proclaims of the aforementioned track: “This is for the people of Palestine and this is for you.” He repeatedly announces “Viva Palestina!”, incites a crowd to bellow “Fuck the King!” and demands a circle pit so massive it makes “the whole fucking field spin”. He almost gets his wish.

IDLES are the Looney Tunes of punk – a fact that draws devotion and opprobrium in equal measure, and results in colourful, larger-than-life stagecraft. Guitarist Lee Keirnan is out in the audience by the second song and spends much of the show windmilling around the stage, hair flailing as he attacks his guitar like he’s trying to saw it in half. Talbot, the master of ceremonies, enunciates more exaggeratedly than ever, chewing over the words, savouring them. At one point, bassist Adam Devonshire closes in on drummer Jon Beavis and they lock eyes, the former all steely resolve and the latter grinning madly.

It’s a juxtaposition that epitomises the gig, which is so packed with standout moments that a surprise appearance from experimental rapper Danny Brown , who lends a new verse to the stuttering ‘POP POP POP’, is a little lost in the mix. There’s laughter when screens by the side of the stage depict a fan with a sign that declares “You can piss in my sink Joe!” (a reference to lyrics from the track ‘1049 Gotho’) and a palpable sense of protest when, during ‘Mother’, Talbot roars: “The best way to scare a Tory is to read and get rich ”. A few days before we should be rid of the fuckers, the mantra hits harder than ever.

Most astonishing, though, is tonight’s performance of ‘Danny Nedelko’. As ever, Talbot describes the song as “a celebration of the bravery and the hard work of the immigrants who built our country”. And then something wholly unexpected (not least among the band themselves) happens. A fake life raft bearing life-jacketed dummies rears up through the audience: it bobs and weaves, lifted by countless outstretched hands that scramble to right the vessel when it upturns.

The raft, which we later learn was designed by Banksy , drifts towards the stage and Bowen reaches out to it before he flops into the crowd – an unforgettable image from a truly incendiary show. “We’ll back to back headline the Pyramid Stage in 2027,” a bloodied Talbot spits before they leave the stage. You’d better believe it.

Taylor Swift brings out Travis Kelce at London Eras Tour date

Taylor Swift had a surprise for fans attending her Eras Tour at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday: her boyfriend and tight end for the Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs, Travis Kelce .

Dressed in a tuxedo with a tailcoat and top hat, Kelce joined Swift on stage for a transitional sketch that leads into the song “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” In fan videos, he’s seen carrying Swift, urging her into a costume change. He fanned and powdered her face as part of the act.

Last month, in her first Eras Tour concert since the release of “The Tortured Poets Department,” Swift shook up her setlist. At the La Défense Arena in Paris, fans were treated to the inclusion of new songs from the record-breaking album released in April.

The billion-dollar Eras Tour is meant to be a career retrospective, with Swift performing more than 40 tracks reflecting 17 years of recorded music. “The Tortured Poets Department” was her first brand-new release since the tour’s start.
