Crystal Cruises Begins “Bahamas Escapes” Cruises in July

Crystal Cruises announced that it will offer seven-night cruises from the Bahamas starting in July, 2021. The cruises will visit several islands in the Bahamas, a collective destination hard-hit from the loss of cruise tourism income due to the ongoing pandemic.

Crystal Cruises to Begin Seven-Night Bahamas Islands Cruises 

Crystal Cruises has partnered with the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism & Aviation to chart a course to bring guests to Nassau and restart cruise service. This summer guests will be able to fly into Nassau or Bimini and board Crystal Serenity for the new Bahamas Escapes cruises.

“The  Bahamas  is ready and delighted to welcome cruise visitors back to the islands and to partner with Crystal Cruises in the effort to restore and help re-activate our tourism industry and protect jobs and businesses,” said  Bahamas Minister of Tourism & Aviation Dionisio D’Aguilar.

All guests will experience the highest standards of health and safety practices throughout every aspect of their vacation. Crystal Cruises’ developed their extensive Crystal Clean+ 4.0 protocols in conjunction with the Bahamas Clean & Pristine Certification program. The luxury cruise line is confident that they will be able to offer their guests a welcome visit to The Islands of the Bahamas and a safe cruise.

Bahamas Escapes Cruise Itineraries

Crystal Serenity will cruise a series of more than 30 new, seven-night Bahamas Escapes itineraries. Cruises are round-trip from either Nassau or Bimini and visit only islands in the Bahamas. This should not be too difficult; there are over 700 islands that comprise the Bahamas. Islands on these new itineraries include Harbour Island, Great Exuma, San Salvador and Long Island. 

All you have to do to begin your Crystal Cruise is get on a flight to the Bahamas and board Crystal Serenity . But before you book your plane ticket, you should know that there is a list of health requirements that Crystal Cruises and the Bahamas government have put into place just to set foot in the Bahamas and then board the ship.

Crystal Cruises and Bahamas Health Requirements

According to the list of requirements on Crystal Cruises’ website, all guests are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with both doses if recommended. The last injection must be at least 14 days prior to boarding any Crystal ship.

Verified documentation and/or evidence of vaccination will be required at the time of boarding. Failure to provide this documentation will result in denial of boarding. All documentation provided will need to be in English.

Anyone arriving into the Bahamas, in addition to the cruise line’s requirements, must complete the Bahamas Health Visa application.

Crystal Cruises introduces new Bahamas Escapes from Nassau and Bimini

Crystal Cruises announced plans to restart passenger shipping with the new “Bahamas Escapes” commencing on July 3, 2021. The series of 16 total 7-night roundtrips from Nassau are scheduled for Crystal Serenity ship .

In addition to the roundtrip Nassau itineraries, the GHK-owned premium brand will also offer 16 total 7-night roundtrips from Bimini Island - beginning on July 4, 2021.

With the new Bahamas Escapes, Crystal Serenity becomes the first large cruise ship homeported in The Bahamas, and the first ocean vessel to sail from the Americas since March 2020 when the industry halted operations. 

Crystal Serenity will be operated with reduced max passenger capacity , providing a guest-to-space ratio that is twice that of contemporary cruise companies and allowing for the best social distancing onboard any cruise ship.

In addition to Bimini and Nassau, Bahamas Escapes feature 4 Bahamian destinations: Harbour Island , Great Exuma (the biggest of the 300+ Exuma Islands and cays), San Salvador Island (with 50+ diving sites) and Long Island (80-mi/130-km long).

The itineraries' call ports are subject to final confirmation and can be changed by the ship's Captain - due to weather or other conditions.

Passengers can extend their cruise vacations by the company's "Extended Land & Hotel Programs" based n selected certified land-based partner companies.

Crystal Cruises announced on February 18 that travelers must be fully inoculated with a COVID vaccine at least 14 days prior the ship's departure. The new requirement is in addition to comprehensive Crystal Clean+ 4.0 measures, such as negative COVID tests for both crew and guests, social distancing, reduced capacity, nimble mask policy, health screening questionnaires.

Best available fares for the new Bahamas Escapes start from US$2000 per passenger, including US$500 Book Now Savings and US$500 air savings along with Best Available Savings by category. 

The new Bahamas voyages replace Crystal Serenity’s scheduled itineraries that were scheduled to sail July 8 through/including October 19, 2021. Passengers who were booked on these cruises have the option to transfer the bookings to one of the new sailings with an applicable 115% cruise credit based on the fare paid.
