My husband and I completed this trip 2 weeks ago. I have to say this is a well organised tour, we had a great time. All the guides and drivers were great, very professional and friendly. A few tips for future travellers, cash is best to avoid bank fees etc. We were safe the entire time, no issues whatsoever. Vietjet airline seems to shake down foreigners for extra weight by weighing your carry on and combining with the weight of your backpack. Travel as light as possible. Hotel de Bangkok is poor in my opinion, ask for an upgrade and pay the difference. Hoi An Express is a very efficient and prompt tour company, they respond by email and addresses anything concerns you may have. We also booked additional tours with them during our stay.

We enjoyed our hotels and guides very much. Every guide and driver was timely, which can be a real worry when you are traveling in a country where you don't speak the language. The hotels were nicer than we anticipated, particularly the Vela Be Hotel in Bangkok. The cruise in HaLong was alot of fun and worth the time it took (we only had 4 days in VietNam). The only part of our trip I wouldn't recommend was the Mekong delta trip. We felt it was took too long to reach the starting destination and lasted too long. Otherwise, would use Bravo Indochina Tours again to plan future trips.

Arrive in bangkok.

Sa-wat-dee!  Welcome to Bangkok, the “City of Angels"! Met and greeted at the airport and transfer to hotel for check in (check in time is 14.00). Remainder of the day is at your leisure. Being one of Asia's most cosmopolitan cities with magnificent temples and palaces, authentic canals, busy markets and a vibrant nightlife, Bangkok really has something for everyone.    Enjoy your free time to roam around, soaking up the sights, smells and sounds of the thriving metropolis. Perhaps, you may like to take a river taxi to the bustling Chinatown for an exploring of colorful streets, wander through busy local market for a shopping spree, enjoy a Thai massage, or walk down the famous tourist mecca of Khao San road and venture on a street food crawl.  

Summary of inclusions

Bangkok sightseeing

Take an early visitto the famed  Wat Pho  to observe the serene morning chanting ritual of the monks, an incredible start for the day. This temple is considered highest among the six first-class Royal temples in Thailand, housing the largest collection of Buddha images in the country and is home to the famous gold-plated 46 m long reclining Buddha with auspicious symbols on the feet. Continue to the majestic  Royal Grand Palace , Bangkok’s most important landmark which used to be the residence of the Kings of Thailand and is one of the most beautiful samples of an ancient Siamese court. Nearby is the Wat Phra Kaew, popularly known as the  Temple of   Emerald Buddha,  which houses the mysterious Buddha imagethat is meticulously carved from a single block of jade and deeply venerated as the country's palladium.

This afternoon, hop on a long-tail boat and cruise down the Chao Phraya River into  the winding ‘khlongs’ (canals) of Thonburi  which is considered ‘wild Venice of the East’, another world away from the chaotic streets of the capital. Cruise pass lush green dotted with gilded temples on both banks, wooden stilts houses right on water, charming local markets and vendor boats serving up Thai delicacies. Life along these ‘khlongs’ has long been an inseparable part of the Thai lifestyle and has hardly changed over the years. End the day tour with your visit to the  Wat Traimit,  another Bangkok's famous temple with the Golden Buddha Image weighing over 5.5 tons of solid gold .  The statue, said to be casted sometime around 14 century and was covered with a layer of stucco, was revealed in 1955 when people were trying to install it into a newly built viharn at the present place.

Evening is at your leisure.

Bangkok - Siam Reap

Get transferred to the airport for flight to Siam Reap, the city of charms, gate way to the wonder of Angkor.

Met and greeted upon arrival and, after checking in hotel, enjoy your time exploring the Angkor Archaeological Park. Start your tour with the fist visit to Angkor Thom - The Great City which was built in the late twelfth century by King Jayavarman VII. Step along the causeway characterized by the two rows of devas and asuras pulling huge naga snakes, referring to the Hinduism myth of Churning of the Sea of Milk, into the impressive South Gate of Angkor Thom . Admire the majestic  Bayon Temple  that consists of 54 towers featuring multitude of Buddha’s serene and mysterious smiling faces. Wander around and discover the  Royal Enclosure , the  Phimeanakas , the  Elephants Terrace, the  Terrace of the Leper King, and Ta Prohm - one of the area’s most beautiful temples which has been left relatively untouched since it was discovered, just like its appearance in the movie ‘Tomb Raider’ by Angelina Jolie. Your last visit today is the Angkor Wat temple , one of the most impressive religiuos monuments in the World, representing the soul of the Great Khmer Empire and its glorious history. This temples complex consists of two plans: the temple-mountain with five prominent towers featuring the 5 holy peaks of the Mount Meru which is home of gods in the Hindu mytholgy and, the galleried temple decorated by extensive bas-relief, depicting episodes from Hindu epics. This temple was built in the 12th and said to have taken more than 30 years of intensive labor. What amazing architecture constructed neary thousand years ago and remains for us to see today. The view of Angkor Wat becomes most impressive during sunset time when it looks like floating on the background of the magical twilight.

Back to the hotel and evening is at your leisure. 

Siam Reap further explore

After breakfast, drive out the town to visit to the Kulen Mountain , the birthplace and capital of the Khmer Empire in the early 9th century. Here you will visit countless ancient temples then take a short trek through the original jungle to explore the  Kbal Spean  which also known as  River of 1000 Lingas , consisting of a series of stone rock relief carvings in sandstone formations of the river bed and banks, depicting Hindu mythological motifs.  Perhaps, enjoy our  swim under the torrent of cascading waterfall .

One the way back, we will visit the temple of  Banteay Srei  that is a masterpiece of religious architecture and carving withits no space left undecorated with intricate and wonderful bas-relief on pink sandstone. Also,  visit the local village  of Preah Dak where we have chance to learn something about local life and enjoy local interaction and the  Banteay Samre temple  which is adorned with impressive relief’s depicting scenes of Vishunu and Krishna legends.

Phnom Penh sightseeing

Breakfast at the hotel and get transferred to the airport for a short flight to Phnom Penh, the capital city of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

In the afternoon you will take a sightseeing tour of Phnom Penh with first visit to the Wat Phnom Temple , one of the most important pagodas in Phnom Penh, built in 1373 on an artificial hill by the wealthy widow Penh from whom the city got its name, after a flood brought here a large kiko tree with four bronze Buddha statutes were found inside. Following, visit the Royal Palace  that contains the  Royal Residence , the  Throne Hall , the  Silver Pagoda  which is more like a repository for cultural treasures such as 90 kg golden Buddha encrusted with 2086 diamonds and has itsfloor paved by silver tiles. Phnom Penh - Ho Chi Minh City

Breakfast at hotel then spend time to explore further Phnom Penh with visit to the notorious   Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum  also called the S-21 Prison. This prison was converted from a secondary school and used by Khmer Rough during its bloody rule from 1975 to its fall in 1979. There was an estimate of 20,000 people were imprisoned, tortured, coerced to confess what so called “revolutionary reaction crimes” before being taken to be executed at the extermination camp –  the “Killing Fields” of Choeng Ek , located 15 km south of Phnom Penh which you will visit after. The places of Toul Sleng and Choeng Ek is the reminders of Cambodia'ssorrowful period under Pol Pot rule and may call distressing for someone but it is necessary for you to learn about the never-to-be-forgotten page in the country's history.

Transferred to the airport for a short flight to Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Met upon arrival and transferred to hotel for check in. Evening is at your leisure.

Cu Chi Tunnels - Ho Chi Minh City sightseeing

Breakfast then depart Saigon centre for a  visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels , one of the most famous war relics in Vietnam and the World. The system was dug and used as a stronghold of Viet Minh and Viet Cong from 1948 to 1975 during the first and second Indochina War. The underground city consists of more than 200km of narrow underground tunnels that connecting half or total covered hideouts, shelters, fighting bunkers, hospital, school, living rooms and so on with air filters, airtight covers, booby traps and sentries were all part of the system. Watch a documentary film about the war time then  walk along sinous paths running under tropical foliages to explore the tunnel system. Discover secret entrance, booby traps, visiting workshops, clinics and so on... There is a the chance for you to  creep into a tunnel to experience how the Vietcong lived and fought during that time  and learn more about Vietnam War as well as how strong people’s determination can be.

This afternoon, spend your time to  explore city’s highlights  including  War Remnants Museum  (or History Museum),  Reunification Palace  - formerly known as the  Independence Palace  which was the Presidential Palace of the South Vietnam before North Vietnamese tanks seized on the morning of April 30 1975, the  Notre Dame Cathedral ,  Saigon Central Post Office  and  Dong Khoi Street  - formerly Rue Catinat – that made famous by Graham Greene in his best-selling book The quiet American. Perhaps take a sit by the veranda of colonial building Continental hotel sipping cafe au late watching the current of people an time pass by. End our day with a visit to the  Ben Thanh Market  - the central market with plenty of local products.

Evening is free at your own pace. It is good idea to head out to the night market where you have chance to enjoy a wonderful street food crawl. Another option is Pham Ngu Lao street - the tourist hub in Saigon - where you can grasp a cold beer, enjoying the colorful night there or, get up the the top of Lanmark 81 buiding for a cocktail and enjoy fantastic view of Saigon by night.

Mekong Delta excursion

Breakfast at the hotel then leave Saigon for a 2 hour drive through scenic country land to the Mekong Delta which is home to evergreen scenery of rice paddies, tropical orchards and mangrove along stunning water ways. On arrival, board a wooden boat for our  leisure cruise on little river, exploring lively activities along river  such as fishing, water transferring etc. You also make some stop to  visit some local cottage industries  such as traditional pottery making and printing, coconut candy processing, hand sleep mat making and so on. Spend your time wandering around tropical orchard, taste tropical fruit freshly pick from garden and listen to traditional music.   Later, take an  exciting ride on motor cart (or bicycle) along shady paths,  pass by coconut forest, green rice fields and vegetable plains to be able to touch on real life and find out about this fascinating tropical land. End the tour with  sampan rowing along meandering canal  then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City for a short flight to Da Nang, gateway to Hoi An ancient town. Hoi An country ride & farming

After breakfast, meet up with our guide to star our exciting tour of  Hoi An countryside by bicycle . Cycle your way through  stunning villages and green farm lands,  visiting  Tra Que herb garden  veggie village, meeting local farmers, listening to tour guide explained why it is called “Organic farm” and how it is consumed around Hoi An and local people. Joining into farming activities like: hoeing soil, using seaweed, transplanting and watering vegetable… Keeping biking to the rice paddy field throughout the shrimp farm, on the ways, taking picture about duck farms, shrimps farms, cows, birds, bamboo and so on.. Hue Royal city

After breakfast, take a scenic drive through green lands, pristine beaches, spectacular lagoons and verdant mountains to Hue. Located in the central Vietnam, Hue is the old imperial capital and the treasure of the country’s royal past. The place is known for its both historical values and beautiful natural landscapes.

Your tour of Hue starts with a visit to  Thien Mu,  the oldest pagoda in Hue and is iconic symbol of the city. This place is known with the 7 storey Phuoc Duyen tower mirrors on the water of the Perfume River and the huge bronze bell casted in 1710 whose sound can be heard from 10 miles away. Then,  visit one of ancient garden homes originally belonged to a Royal family members  where you can learn something about this historical land and its traditions.  Following, take a walking tour through to  The Imperial Citadel   & the Forbidden City  where Kings of the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. Built from 1804 to 1833, the fortress-like citadel encompasses three courts covering 6 km that surrounded by massive brick walls and protected by a moat system. There were hundreds of buildings that built in a perfect harmony and strict concept of Fengshui. Hue country adventure - Hanoi

Breakfast at the hotel then check out and enjoy our exciting day tour to discover Hue royal monuments, countryside and fascinating nature by motorbike  (sit at the back - you can also choose to take car/van drive instead). Ride your way along little paths on hidden villages  where traces of time remain intact.  Visit a local market  which located in beautiful and very poetic country scenery, the  centuries-old covered bridge of Thanh Toan  and a  farming exhibition house  then continue through hidden alleys, off the beaten track,  visiting to traditional villages with traditional handicraft such as conical hat, paper and incense making . Later, pay a visit to one of  Emperor Mausoleums,  a special royal architecture, in line with the Royal City, built as eternal resting place for Emperors of the dynasty.

Enjoy a vegetarian lunch in a pagoda prepared by Buddhist nuns then get transferred to the airport for a short flight to Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. Hanoi sightseeing

Today you have a full day tour to explore Hanoi city’s typical sights, sounds, smell and tastes. After breakfast, start your tour by paying a  visit to the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Complex  that consists of the  Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, Uncle Ho’s house on stilts,  the nearby  One Pillar Pagoda  which is the little iconic symbol of Hanoi. Following is the  Temple of Literature , the first University of the country that built from 1076, where remains nearly a hundred of huge stone steles standing on turtle backs bearing names of the country’s men who received Doctor Laureate through royal examinations.

In the afternoon you will spend time to  explore the Hoa Lo Prison  – nicknamed Hanoi Hilton by American pilots who detained here during the Indochina War and , one of city’s many interesting museums, the  Hoan Kiem Lake  with the  Ngoc Son Temple  where a legendary turtle is reserved.

Later of the day, take a leisurely walking tour of Hanoi Old Quarter - a maze of streets with thousands of photo opportunities around you,  sightsee local street life, traditional guilds, food market, shopping areas, food venues, ancient houses and temples . Halong Bay cruise

Breakfast at the hotel then get picked up for a drive along the fertile land of the Red River Delta to Hon Gai pier where you board the boat for  cruise on spectacular Halong Bay & Bai Tu Long Bay. 

Said to be one of the most beautiful nature wonders in the World, Halong Bay consists of thousands of limestone islands soaring up from the emerald water of the bay. The different shape of islands here is the result of the work of wind and water through millions of year. With dotted pristine beaches, floating villages, amazing natural caves and fascinating scenes, Halong and its surroundings is the must-see for travelers to Vietnam.

Check in on board upon arrival at noon time. Have lunch while leisurely  cruising to the core of the bay   amongst thousands of dramatic lime stone islands . Later, you will  cruise to visit another part of the Halong Bay. Lunch is served on your way cruising back to the harbor. Disembark the boat at early noon (11.30 – 12.00 depending on boat and tide). Drive to the airport for your late afternoon flight to Vientiane, the capital city of Laos PDR. Vientiane explore

Lies on the bank of the Mekong River, the charming and fascinating capital of Laos conjures up exotic images, with the little mix of Lao, French, Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese influences. The city is studded with gilded Buddhist shrines and monuments, faded French colonial buildings, little café and steaming noodle stalls, bustling sidewalk markets and quiet medieval shady streets, is somewhere between a laidback city and a lively township, a place of charms that you might not find anywhere else around Asia.

Breakfast at the hotel then start your city tour by visiting the oldest  Wat Sisaket  which houses thousands of tiny Buddha images and row after row of seated Buddhas. Your next destination is  Haw Phra Kaew , the royal temple that once enshrined the Emerald Buddha. Today it is a museum where there resides a tremendous collection of religious art. Continue with a visit to the golden  Pha That Luang , the most important national monument in Laos - a symbol of Buddhist religion and Lao sovereignty. The stupa of this temple is 40m high and covered with gold that can be seen from miles away. Along the way we also make stop to visit the  Pattuxay monument , the Vientian’s Triump de Arch. Also, you will spend time to wander around and sightsee some prominent colonial architecture in the centre area.

Then transfer to the amazing  Buddha Park  (also called  Wat Xieng Khouane ) which is definitely worth a visit during your tour to the capital of a million elephants. Upon arrival, take your time to explore more than 200 religious statues, including an enormous 40-meter-long reclining Buddha. Get back to hotel and enjoy time at your leisure.

Luang Prabang sightseeing

Breakfast at the hotel then get transferred to the airport for short flight to  Luang Prabang .

The UNESCO World Heritage town of Luang Prabang is perhaps the best-preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Laos, maybe in Indochina.

This afternoon you will have a bicycle/green tuk tuck tour to sightsee the Luang Prabang ancient town with visits to some of its highlights such as the most photographed  Wat Xieng Thong  with its several roofs sweeping low to the ground,  Wat Visoun -  the site of impressive Thad Makmo stupa with the rounded dome is stylistically more Sinhalese than Lao,  Wat Aham and   Wat Sene  Temple,  Wat Mai  which was built in 1796 known for its five-tiered roof of the wooden Sim (chapel) epitomizes the graceful Luang Prabang architectural style, the  former Royal Palace  today is the  National Museum  that houses rare religious and cultural artefacts. Late afternoon you will climb up to the top of  Phousi Mountain  for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a beautiful sunset view of the city and the Mekong River. Night Market of Luang Prabang just right at the bottom of Mount Phousi, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile by locals and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang, is a good place to kill some time in the evening.

Mekong cruise & Pak Ou cave

Early risers will have chance to  participate in the daily early morning ritual of saffron-clad monks with their black alms-giving bowls being given offerings from the local people  – a typical scene and activity of Luang Prabang.

Breakfast is at the hotel then get to the pier and board a  cruise upstream on the Mekong River , which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of  Pak Ou Caves,  crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. This place is one of the most pilgrimage destination for locals.   Along the way there and back you will also have some stops to  visit to local villag es to learn some about local business and handicraft of rice wine distillation handmade paper. Farming experience & Kuang Si falls

After breakfast, drive out to the outskirt of Luang Prabang where you will have an exciting tour activity of farming experience. Enjoy the educational tour of traditional farm work of  land ploughing with buffalo ,  seed preparing ,  rice growing ,  harvesting and processing  and more other interesting activities around. Lunch is included in the activity.

In the afternoon you will spend time to explore the   Kuang Si waterfall , a jade of Luang Prabang area. Considered the most beautiful masterpiece of nature in Luang Prabang and the whole country of Laos, from the level of 60 meters high, the vibrant water of Kuang Si tumbles down, cascading over limestone tiers creating a series of wonderful turquoise natural swimming pools. The harmony between the white falls, crystal blue color ponds, fascinating travertine patterns and the green of lush tropical jungle surrounding makes make the place a dreaming picturesque landscape. Luang Prabang - Chiang Mai

Morning free at your leisure until getting a transfer to the airport for flight to Chiang Mai, the northern hub of Thailand.

Drive up to see a panoramic view of Chiang Mai city. Depart Chiang Mai on a scenic drive though fascinating country land natural landscapes toward the border area. Along the way we stop at  Mae Kachan Natural Hot Springs  in Wieng Pa Pao district to stretch your legs and visit the spring as well as wandering around the local market. Continue our drive and then take a visit to the  Wat Rong Khun  - The White Temple of Chiang Rai – a unique Hindu and Buddhist temple with special architecture and color. From here we drive up further to  visit a village of the Karen long neck people  where you can learn about tradition and life style of this typical hill tribe then continue to  Mae Sai border market,  a trading hub for local hill tribeslocated in the northern-most point of Thailand bordering with Myanmar. Later on, drive to the  Golden Triangle  marked by the Great Mekong River where three countries Thailand, Myanmar and Laos meet. Enjoy sightseeing the landscapes and visit the  Opium Museum  to learn more about the name “Golden Triangle”. Drive back to Chiang Mai and evening is free at your own pace.

Chiang Mai - Yangon

Breakfast is at the hotel. Morning free at leisure until getting a transfer for flight to Yangon. Met at the airport and transfer to hotel for check-in. Also known as Rangoon, this former capital of Myanmar is home to a fascinating blend of impressive colonial architectures, tree-lined boulevards, exciting street life scenes and glittery temples dotted around, making it the most exciting place in the country.

This afternoon is for an exciting tour of multifaceted culture of Yangon. Start your exploration with a visit to the  Yangon Post Office  that noted for its red-brick color, charming beaux-arts portico and ornate stucco work. Continue to the the glittering Burmese style  Sule Paya  on the junction of busy Yangon streets and then the Bogyoke Market , also known as Scott’s market, a wonderfully colorful place where there are lots of handicrafts and other local products to browse through. Wander around, enjoy some shopping if you wish and perhaps, take a sit down at a local tea shop enjoying typical Burmese tea drinking experience. Following is the Kandawgyi Park , a beautiful and greenest spot of Yangon where you see the impressive  Karaweik Hall,  a replica of Royal Barge that floats on a vast lake, reflecting it glittering image on peaceful water surface with stunning background of surroundings. Following is the  Chauk Htat Kyi temple  which is home to a 66-meter long reclining Buddha, one of the most revered Buddha images in the country, where locals gather to pay homage and pray every day. Your last visit is the  Shwedagon Pagoda , the most famous landmark in Yangon with spectacular view ofthe 100-meter tall chedi gilded by 40 tons of gold leaf. The view of Shwedagon become most spectacular during the sunset and when lights are on.

Explore the ancient Bagan

Transferred to the airport for short early morning flight to Bagan that is claimed to be one of the greatest sites of ancient religious architecture in Asia, with more than four thousands impressive red brick temples scattered on a vast dry plain.

Met and greeted upon arrival and go straight on your tour exploring the ancient Bagan. Spend time to  wander through colorful and bustling atmosphere of a busy local market  where you gain an insights into local life and business. Following, you will spend the rest of the day to  explore the architectural masterpieces of Bagan   with a diverse selection of some most important shrines and temples  in the area. Bagan is special not just by its magnificent temples but the rural life and surrounding landscapes also another interesting fact that makes the land. This morning will spend time to  explore some traditional villages around Bagan  where you have chance to  witness the authentic way of life in those ‘living museum’ and interact with friendly locals.  Travel along little paths through charming rural sceneries and make stops for visits and gaining the taste of the rural Myanmar with different perspective.   Later,  hop on horse cart for an exciting ride to explore hidden side of Bagan . In the afternoon, you will board a private wooden boat for a  fantastic cruise on the Irrawaddy River  to Nyaung U where you will spend time to  explore the famous thousand years old Shwezigon Pagoda complex  which impresses you with a massive cone-shaped gilded stupa where enshrines a bone and tooth of Buddha. Inle Lake discovery

Get transferred to the airport for a short morning flight to Heho, the gateway to one of Myanmar's most charming destinations, the Inle Lake. Located in Nyaungshwe, a township of Shan State, Inle is a vast natural water body at the elevation of 800 meter above sea level and is the second largest lake in Myanmar. Dotted around the lake bank and on the water are numerous small villages of different ethnicities who remain very well their unique culture and life style. This beautiful lake is fringed by marshes and floating gardens, wooden houses perched above the water on stilts and glittering temples rise above the serene water surface. The typical image of Inle is the Intha fishers in traditional costume fishing on the lake with distinctive rowing style with one leg on the rear of the boat and the other leg wrapping around the oar.

Met and greeted upon arrival and take private transfer to hotel for check in. Following,  hop on a private local boat for sightseeing around Inle . After breakfast, start your another interesting day in Inle by a  visit to the colorful local market  which rotates through villages around the lake and including a day on the lake itself when trade is conducted from small boats. This is where and when you will see local hill tribe people in the colorful traditional dresses congregating to barter and purchase. A very nice scene! Continue by  boat along winding and scenic canals to Indein , a little yet fascinating village on the western bank of the lake. This place is known for its two groups of ancient pagodas and stupas with hundreds structures in many shapes and sizes varying from authentic crumbling state with trees and plants entwine around them to the restored, gilded and tacky one, offering an impressive sight of evolution through successive generations. It is wonderful to see people having bath in the river, boats moving about on water, colorful shops and stalls, the mythical world of gods and life of ordinary smiling people. Wander through, walk up the hill along colonnades and enjoy the cram-full sight of exotic scenes around. Following,  visit a weaving villages  with houses perched on stilts,  interact with “long neck” tribal women  who working on traditional looms and of course, you will not miss the chance to observe and take wonderful photos of the  Intha men fishing on the lake with traditional tools and typical one-legged rowing technique . Back to the hotel and remainder of the day is free to relax.

Arrival and departure flights: You are advised to make your own booking for international flights from/back your home country. This allows you to determine better the travel time frame, budget and to deal with insurance claim when needed. Travel documents: You must carry a valid passport and have obtained all of the appropriate visas, permits and certificates for the countries in which you will visit during your trip. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of the correct visas, permits and certificates for your trip. Travel insurance: It is your responsibility to get your own international travel insurance and read the insurance policy before you travel and ensure that the insurance scheme provides with the requisite level of cover. Insurance should cover personal accident and medical expenses, evacuation and repatriation, baggage loss, and cancellation or curtailment of vacation. In some cases, travelers may have pre-existing medical conditions which their travel insurance company will not cover. Welcome to Thailand! Your journey begins in Chiang Mai, the capital of the ancient Lanna Kingdom in Northern Thailand. This charming city is dotted with stunning ancient temples nestled amidst lush mountains and waterfalls, and irenowned for its vibrant community of artists and craftsmen.

Known as the "Rose of the North", Chiang Mai was founded well over 700 years ago. The city features a central Old City which remains encircled by moats and walls built during ancient times to protect against invasion. The surrounding mountains are home to a number of ethnic minority groups, making the greater Chiang Mai region a melting pot of diverse cultures and traditions.

Our adventure begins today with a hike up to Wat Palaad, one of the most unique temples in Chiang Mai. Beginning behind Chiang Mai University, one of the most beautiful campuses in all of Thailand, we will embark on a moderate, one-hour hike to the temple. After exploring the grounds with your guide, you will then continue up the mountain to soak in the views and the calming vibes from Chiang Mai's most famous temple, Wat Prathet Doi Suthep.

After lunch, we'll drive into the hills to get acquainted with Thailand's most revered creature, the elephant. Learn about these amazing pachyderms from the resident experts at one of the most reputable elephant sanctuaries in the region.

Returning to the hotel in the late afternoon, we will have time to freshen up and go for a quick swim in the pool before we head out for dinner at one of Chiang Mai's many excellent restaurants.

Today, we will be learning how to cook a number of classic Thai dishes. The day will begin with a trip to a local fresh market, where we will learn how to identify the key ingredients in Thai cooking. Each person will be cooking a number of dishes, so everyone will be walking away with extensive hands-on experience as well as a cookbook to take home. After some down time to relax and digest, we will set out to see some highlights of Chiang Mai's Old City. Among the points of interest that you will see are Wat Chiang Man - the oldest temple in Chiang Mai - and Wat Chedi Luang, one of Chiang Mai's most impressive landmarks. After dusk, we will be free to peruse the Chiang Mai Walking Street Market, shopping and sampling tasty local specialties on our way through the heart of the city.

Chiang Mai to Chiang Khong

• Activity Length: 4.5 hour drive with interesting stops along the way

Today we will be traveling north through Chiang Rai to the border town of Chiang Khong (4.5 hr drive). Along the way, we will have the chance to check out several highlights including Wat Rong Khun, one of the most iconic temples in Thailand.

Continuing onward, we will finally reach Chiang Khong, a quaint little town situated on the Mekong River. We will settle in to our hotel for the evening before sitting down to enjoy a lovely feast with views of the stunning landscape of Laos across the river.

First thing this morning, we will bid farewell to Thailand and cross the Mekong River to Huay Xai, Laos. Our Lao team will be waiting for us across the bridge, and they will help us get situated on our luxury boat.

Over the next two days, we will be cruising down the meandering river through the beautiful countryside of Laos. Traveling down the river will give us the chance to feel the unique pace of life in the many riverside villages that you will float by, some of which have existed for hundreds of years without any road access. We'll stop along the way at some villages to meet the locals and learn a bit about life in these small places.

At the end of the day, we'll arrive in Pakbeng where we'll get checked in to our luxury riverside resort with stunning views of the river below.

Perched high above the banks of the mighty Mekong River, Le Grand Pakbeng is a luxurious sanctuary. With a rooftop pool and exquisite touches at every turn, the resort is a perfect interlude for travelers in this remote, riverside outpost.

Cruise the Mekong (Cont'd.) to Luang Prabang

The river cruise continues today with more stops along the way, including the Pak Ou caves, which are home to hundreds of statues of the Buddha.

Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, our Lao team will take us on a short walking tour around town to get acquainted with this charming city. The Old Town of Luang Prabang's UNESCO World Heritage area is surrounded by two huge rivers. It exhibits a unique charm resulting from the confluence of traditional Lao and French colonial architecture.

In the evening, we will dine at one of Luang Prabang's many fabulous restaurants.

Today, we will head into the mountains to a village outside of town, where we will begin a trek (optional) through friendly villages to the majestic Kuang Si Waterfall. This waterfall is truly a sight to behold, and a great place to cool off after your hike this morning.

Later in the afternoon, we'll have a chance to return to the hotel to relax and get a traditional Lao massage. In the early evening, we will also have the chance to check out the views from the top of Phou Si Mountain in the center of Luang Prabang, the best place in town to watch the sun set.

This evening you will be free to explore the city's vibrant restaurant scene and the Luang Prabang Night Market.

The Highlights of Luang Prabang

This morning, we will rise early to watch the monks of Luang Prabang receive morning alms on the streets of town (optional). This is a magical time of day to witness thousands of saffron-robed monks walking the streets barefoot to collect their one meal of the day, and it is a uniquely Luang Prabang experience that is worth seeing.

For the rest of the day, we will be discovering the unique and complex history of Laos with visit to a number of highlights in Luang Prabang city. Among them will be the UXO Museum and the Lao National History Museum - two places that provide an eye-opening look into turbulent history of the Laos.

After some down time at the hotel, we will head out for a tasty final dinner in Laos as a group.

Connect to Siem Reap, Cambodia

• Activity Level: Optional exploring, 1.5 hour flight

After a relaxing morning at the hotel, it's time to say goodbye to our Lao team, who will drop you off at the airport with some heartfelt goodbyes as the voyage continues to Siem Reap, Cambodia. We will take an a direct flight to Siem Reap in the early afternoon, where our Cambodia team will we waiting to meet us and get us checked in to our hotel.

Arriving into Siem Reap, we will have time to settle in to our exquisite hotel before hitting the town. After dinner and a brief orientation to the city, we will head to Phare, a local Cambodian Circus. This inspiring acrobat show is performed by students from Phare Ponleu Selpak, an organization that works with underserved youth on art-based education.

After the show, it's off to get some rest for our big day tomorrow exploring Angkor Wat.

Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra is situated just minutes away from the world-famous Angkor Wat temple complex, making it the perfect base to explore the ancient ruins of the Khmer Empire. Sunrise & Sunset over Angkor Wat

Rising very early, we will be out the door to catch sunrise at Angkor Wat. Our guides know some of the best-kept secrets of Angkor, and they will help our group capture some truly stunning images throughout the day today.

After sunrise, we'll head back to the resort for a lovely breakfast (which might just feel like lunch!). Generally speaking, Angkor is best explored during the morning and the late afternoon of each day, as the middle of the day tends to be rather hot and the lighting is not optimal for photography. During the day, we will have some down time to enjoy the gorgeous hotel grounds until mid-afternoon. For those who are interested, there is also a world-class spa and a golf course on the hotel grounds for guests to explore on their own!

By mid-afternoon, we'll be on our way back to Angkor Wat for the golden hour and a sublime sunset over the majestic temple grounds with our expert guide.

In the evening, the group will be free to enjoy a delicious meal on your own at one of the many chic restaurants in Siem Reap that have helped establish the city as a destination for fine cuisine. After dinner, stroll through town to peruse artwork and souvenirs, or enjoy a relaxing foot massage. Expect to sleep well tonight!

The Floating Villages of Tonle Sap Lake

• Activity Overview: Explore villages of the Tonle Sap Lake by boat
• Activity Length: 1.5 hrs drive each way, 4-5 hour boat trip

Today we will visit a traditional silk farm to learn a bit about local life and industry in this region. We'll get to see the process of creating Cambodia's beautiful textiles from start to finish while also learning what village life is like here.

After that, it's time to embark on an exciting cruise through the floating village region of Cambodia. This is an eye-opening journey through this fascinating corner of Cambodia where villagers live in clusters of stilted houses and subsist with very few possessions.

During our time in the floating villages, we will have the chance to visit a school where Boundless Journeys proudly provides support to this school on behalf of each guest. We will learn about the history of this amazing project that has helped so many young people in this community. This day will leave us with a unique perspective on just how different life is for people who live in this region.

Siem Reap to Hanoi

• Activity Length: 1.5 hour flight, airport transfer

After a busy few days, this morning will be free to enjoy as we'd like. After lunch on our own, it's time to head to the airport to catch our direct flight to Hanoi.

Hanoi is a bustling city full of charm and a rich culture that dates back thousands of years. Over the next few days, we'll have the chance to see Hanoi's most iconic sites while learning much about the history and culture of Vietnam.

Upon arrival, our Vietnam team will meet us at the airport and get us checked in to our magnificent hotel in Hanoi. We will then dine at an excellent restaurant, a dinner which will serve as a culinary introduction to Vietnamese cuisine.

Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, Vietnam

This award-winning French colonial-style hotel has stood proudly in the heart of Hanoi since 1901. Once a gathering point for diplomats and high class society, the hotel has a rich history and lovely rooms, a recently built spa, and swimming pool. Within walking distance of Hoan Kiem Lake and the magnificent Opera House, the hotel is one of the few remaining hotels of its era.

Exploring Hanoi's History

• Activity Overview: Historical and cultural walking tour through Hanoi

Over the next two days, we will enjoy the many diverse sites of Hanoi city, the thousand-year-old northern capital of Vietnam. With an interesting mix of traditional Vietnamese architecture and French Colonial influences, Hanoi is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Vietnam. Today we will visit Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the President's House (where "Uncle Ho" worked until his final days), Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts, and One Pillar Pagoda, which showcases Vietnam's religious culture over the centuries. We'll also see Tran Quoc Pagoda, one of the country's most ancient temples, surrounded by West Lake's calm waters, and the Senator John McCain Memorial, before heading to the Ethnology Museum of Hanoi.

After some downtime to get refreshed, we will be treated to a traditional water puppet show, a unique craft that tells stories about rural life in Vietnam through precise movements of puppets in water, After the show, we will be free to explore one of the many excellent restaurants in the area on our own.

A deeper dive into Hanoi

• Activity Overview: Cyclo tour through the French Quarter

To begin our second day in Hanoi, we'll take a cyclo (rickshaw) tour through French Quarter, the best way to explore this historic and lively part of the city. Next, we'll visit the Hoa Lo Prison and the Literature Temple, two places which are essential to the long story of Vietnamese culture for very different reasons. Then, we'll see Dong Xuan market, where we'll feel the vibrant buzz of the locals going about their business.

After lunch, the final stop of the day is Hanoi Old Quarter, famous for its intricate street plans and quality crafts sold by locals - we'll have the whole afternoon to explore and shop the Old Quarter to our heart's content, and stroll back to the hotel when you've had your fill.

As this epic journey through Southeast Asia is finally coming to an end, this evening will be a special dinner to commemorate the experiences that we have all shared.

It's time for our amazing Southeast Asia adventure to end. Our team will provide airport transfers for the group to catchflight home from the Hanoi airport. Safe travels, and we hope to see you on a Boundless Journeys Adventure again soon!

The walks on this trip are day walks and short hikes with some vehicle support. Much of the walking will be flat terrain, in and around villages, towns and temples, 2-5 hours per day, broken up by rest and meals.

Generally speaking, November through January is the cool season throughout Southeast Asia. During this period, weather is generallly pleasant and comfortable. Daytime highs will range from the upper 70s (Hanoi) to the mid 80s (Siem Reap), with highs in Chiang Mai and Luang Prabang in the low 80s on most days.

In northern Thailand and Laos, cool air can occasionally come down from the north at this time of year and deliver a refreshing nightime lows (as cold as the low 50s), but daytime highs will always reach the 80s. While rainfall can occur any time of year, it is generally rare during this time of year. The warmest months of the year are March through June.

Please come prepared to walk in rain or warm sunshine, and be sure to pack a range of lightweight, breathable layers of clothing. We will do daily activities as planned, unless weather conditions make it dangerous to do so. You may obtain more detailed weather information at www. weatherbase.com.

The best weather in this part of Southeast Asia is generally mid-October thourgh mid-February, when temperatures cool down nicely at night and rainfall is rare.

The peak travel period is from December 15th through January 6th, when hotels are often at capacity and prices spike.

June and July can also be a nice time to visit the region, and those who do will find fewer tourists and decent (if not more variable) weather.

Whether you're sampling snacks at a street-side stall or a high-end restaurant, the cuisine throughout will showcase incredible variety. Regardless of whether you are an adventurous foodie or a complete amateur with Southeast Asian cuisine, this trip will not disappoint.

As you dine across the region, keep in mind that chili peppers weren't found in the region until Portuguese traders introduced them in the 1600s!

Thai cuisine is renowned worldwide for its unique blend of flavors and textures. It's a feast for the senses, with vibrant colors, aromatic scents, and diverse tastes ranging from sweet and sour to spicy and savory. Thailand is home to a plethora of herbs, fruits, and vegetables, and Thai cuisine showcases this diversity in impressive fashion.

Popular dishes like Pad Thai, Tom Yum Goong, and mango with sticky rice are just the beginning, as delicious regional dishes, exotic fruits, and street food abound. From curries and stir-fries to soups and salads, every dish is a celebration of Thailand's rich culinary heritage.

Lao cuisine, is a rich tapestry of flavors and textures. It's often spicy, sour, and packed with fresh herbs. A staple food in Laos is sticky rice, or 'Khao Niew', which is served in small baskets and eaten by hand, often accompanied by a variety of dips, sauces, and side dishes.

Two of the most popular dishes in the country are laab (a type of salad made from minced meat such as pork, chicken, fish, or duck) and Tam Mak Hoong, a spicy salad made from shredded green papaya, tomatoes, chili, lime, fish sauce. It's similar to Thai Som Tam, except that it often includes fermented crab and fish sauce for extra flavor. Fear not - our guides know how to order a modified version for those not quite up for the real deal. Cambodian cuisine, also known as Khmer cuisine, is characterized by its simplicity, freshness, and the use of unique local ingredients. A signature dish that every visitor must try is Fish Amok, a curried fish that is steamed in banana leaves, Other popular items include Bai Sach Chrouk, (pork and rice) and Kuy Teav, a savory noodle soup. Cambodia's most iconic condiment is Prahok, a strong, fermented fish paste that is widely used in Khmer kitchens. It adds a distinct flavor to many Cambodian dishes.

The cuisine of Hanoi and Northern Vietnam offers a unique gastronomic experience. Pho is perhaps the most iconic dish from Hanoi, with broth simmered for hours with spices like star anise and cinnamon, then served with rice noodles, meat, fresh herbs, and lime. Bun Cha, consisting of grilled pork meatballs served with a tangy fish sauce, rice noodles, and a basket of fresh herbs, is another must-try dish. Banh Mi, a French-Vietnamese fusion sandwich, is a popular street food in Hanoi, made with a crusty baguette filled with various meats, pickled vegetables, and herbs. Being so close to the ocean, fresh seafood abounds as well, with fresh oysters, squid, and saltwater fish widely available.

This 20 day tour takes in the best sites of Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos and will lead you to the highlights of these unmissable destinations. See with your eyes something new and different every day, experience the exciting culture of one of the most mysterious and unknown part of the world

You will spend the first 4 days of your tour in Burma discovering its historical, natural landscapes and local hospitality. You will then have three days on your trip to escape the city and lying under the swaying palms, tropical beach on a gorgeous time of Pattaya in Thailand

In Cambodia, it takes three days to explore the magnificent Angkor temples and towers. Then another half day to take boat ride to Tonle Sap Lake to see how people adapt to life in this unique ecosystem. Then move to Vietnam to find the combination of modernity and tradition of the city and take a cruise on Ha Long Bay to explore the many cavities of lime green protruding from the water. After these trips, fly to Luang Prabang, come to see to Kuang Si waterfall to enjoy the beauty of this natural waterfall

Day 1: Yangon (G)

Arrive Yangon International airport, welcomed by local guide and transfer to the hotel. Evening sightseeing of down town Yangon and one wonder of the world, ‘Shwedagon’ pagoda. Dinner with traditional show at ‘Lonmalay’ restaurant.

Day 2: Yangon/Bago/Kyaiktiyo (B, L, G)

Breakfast at the hotel. 80 km road to Bago, former Mon & Myanmar capital of 14th to 16th century as well as the second Myanmar Empire founded by King Bayinnaung. Visit the four giant sitting Buddha images of Kyaikpun pagoda, Shwetharlyaung Buddha which is the largest and most life-like of all reclining images, legendary Shwemawdaw pagoda and then lunch at ‘Panda ‘ restaurant. Proceed to Kyaiktiyo and transfer to the hotel on the range. Dinner & overnight in Hotel.

Day 3: Kyaiktiyo/Yangon (B, L, G)

Breakfast at the hotel, visit famous ‘Golden Rock’ pagoda, one of the most sacred Buddhist sites in Myanmar and environs, lunch at a local restaurant and return to Yangon, on the way a brief stop at Htaukkyan war cemetery with the graves of 27,00 Allied soldiers who died in Burma and Assam campaigns of WW II. Dinner at ‘ Oriental House ‘ restaurant and overnight in Yangon.

Day 4: Yangon/Bangkok (B, D, G)

Your time will be your own until our driver will come and transfer you to the airport for your flight to Bangkok. After your arrival in Bangkok, you will be met by our representative and we will transfer you to Pattaya in an air conditioned coach, upon arrival check in at the hotel and the remaining day is reserved for leisure activities, one can enjoy water sports(optional) and in the evening one can explore the night life of Pattaya or go for Alazar or Tiffny show(optional) or similar. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5: Pattaya (B, G)

After breakfast, we take you to Coral islands where one can watch corals and marine life from glass bottom boats in crystalline blue waters, one can also opt for various aquatic sports at coral island (own cost), later in the day return back to Pattaya for lunch. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 6: Pattaya/Bangkok (B, G)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel.Transfer to Bangkok in SIC Coach, timings are 0830 hrs, 1230 hrs, 1630 hrs. After arriving in Bangkok, check in at the hotel and rest of the day is at leisure, one has the option of exploring the night life of Bangkok. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 7: Bangkok City Tour (B, L, G)

After breakfast, you’ll begin your tour of Bangkok with a long tail boat ride along the Chao Phraya River to see many lively inner canals which provide some fantastic views of the local life. Along the way you will stop over at Wat Arun, the temple of dawn, before continuing to the Grand Palace which dedicated to the Thai Royal Family’s ceremonies. Nearby is the magnificent Wat Phra Kaew, which is famous for the Emerald Buddha Image. After seeing this complex, you will drive through the many vibrant streets of China Town to some of the most significant temples in Bangkok. The landmark of Wat Traimit is well known as the Golden Buddha Temple while Wat Po houses a gigantic Reclining Buddha. You will spend the night in Bangkok.

Day 8: Bangkok/Siem Reap (B, G)

After breakfast, one will be picked up from the hotel at a scheduled time and leave for Bangkok airport for your international flight to Siem Reap. On arrival, you’ll be picked up to the hotel.

In the afternoon, continue your temple tour. See the unique interior brick sculptures Prasat Kravan, the Srah Srang reservoir (known as “The Royal Baths” was once used for ritual bathing), Banteay Kdei (surrounded by 4 concentric walls), Eastern Mebon (guarded at its corner by stone figures of harnessed elephants, some of which are still in a reasonable state of preservation) and the mountain-temple of Pre Rup until sunset. Dinner at local restaurant and accommodation at hotel.

Day 9: Siem Reap (B, L, D, G)

Breakfast at hotel.

In the morning, visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat’s five towers symbolize Meru’s five peaks – the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat, the ocean beyond.

Lunch at restaurant.

Visit the South Gate (with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk), the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century), Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara), the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Sunset at Angkor Wat. Dinner at local restaurant and accommodation at hotel.

Day 10: Siem Reap (B, L, D, G)

An early bird special:

Transfer to the archaeological site for the sunrise from the Phnom Bakheng, one of two hills dominating the plain of Angkor, from where you will have a spectacular view of the Western Baray and Angkor Wat Or sunrise at Srah Srang

Return to the hotel for breakfast.

Morning, transfer to Banteay Srei temple (10th c), regarded as the jewel in the crown of Classical Khmer Art. Continue to Ta Prohm, one of the area’s most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery.

Lunch at local restaurant.

In the afternoon, you continue your temple visits to Preah Khan. Built by the King Jayavarman VII, Preah Khan is, like Ta Prohm, a place of towered enclosures and shoulder hugging corridors. Unlike Ta Prohm, however, the temple of Prea Khan is in a reasonable state of preservation and ongoing restoration efforts should maintain and even improve this situation. Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool (representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake), Ta Som and Banteay Samre, built in the third quarter of the 12th century. It consists of a central temple with four wings preceded by a hall and accompanied by two libraries, the southern example remarkably well preserved. Two concentric walls enclose the ensemble. Dinner at local restaurant and accommodation at hotel.

Day 11: Siem Reap/Ho Chi Minh City (B, L, G)

Visit the floating village of Chong Khneas, located 10 kilometers south of Siem Reap. Visit the village and take an excursion in a traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap Lake, the “Great Lake” of Cambodia, one of the largest in Asia.

Visit to “Les Artisans d’Angkor – Chantiers Ecoles” of Siem Reap and time at leisure at a local market (if time permits). Transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for departure flight to the Ho Chi Minh City. On arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. You’ll spend the night in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh city tour 1 day (B, L, G)

After breakfast, you’ll start your city tour including the History Museum (special exhibition of the 5thC “Oc Eo” civilisation), the Museum of War Remnants (very partial, but riveting, recollections of the “American War”: not for the squeamish), the huge Ben Thanh market (one of the liveliest areas of Ho Chi Minh City), the Jade Emperor Temple (superb effigies, remarkable carved panels of the descent to Hell and incongruous terrapin and tortoise sanctuaries) and a lacquer workshop. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City/Vinh Long 1 day (B, L, G)

Drive to Vinh Long, cruise on Mekong River, Cai Be floating market, fruit orchards, traditional family-run brick kilns, wide range of varied cottage industries, e.g. manufacture of fish sauce, (distinctive feature of Vietnamese cuisine), construction of massive coffins (unique to Mekong). Afternoon return to Ho Chi Minh City for an overnight stay.

Day 14: Ho Chi Minh City/Hanoi (B, G)

You’ll take the domestic flight to Hanoi. On arrival, pick up to the hotel. You’ll spend the night in Hanoi.

Day 15: Hanoi/Ha Long (B, L, D, G)

A morning drive to Ha Long Bay, (one of the most spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Areas – the world’s largest marine “karst” landscape). Travel by traditional-style boat to some of the less well-known grottoes and caves. Includes swimming, fishing, hill (not mountain) climbing for Bay overviews, exploring sea level caves in a small sampan, etc. All meals will be provided on board and your accommodation will be on the boat in a twin room with en suite toilet and shower.

Day 16: Ha Long/Hanoi (B, G)

Morning cruising Ha Long Bay, followed by lunch and then return to Hanoi for an overnight stay.

Day 17: Hanoi city/Luang Prabang (B, L, G)

An all day city tour, possibly including the Temple of Literature, (the first university in Viet Nam dating back to the 11th C), the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Ethnology Museum and the centre of Hanoi, including the Hoan Kiem Lake, the Ngoc Son temple and the bustling Old Quarter with a complex of architecture – traditional tube houses, religious buildings and the colonial houses. Later on, you’ll take the international flight to Luang Prabang. Arriving in Luang Prabang, you’ll be picked up to the hotel. You’ll spend the night in Luang Prabang.

Day 18: Luang Prabang/Pak Ou cave (B, L, G)

After breakfast, you’ll visit the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong. Cruise  upstream on the Mekong River, as explore the mysterious Pak Ou Caves. Stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where the local rice wine is produced.

Short stop at Ban Phanom, which is well known for its hand weaving.

Day 19: Luang Prabang/Khouangsi Waterfall (B, L, G)

Watch or participate in the daily morning rituals of monks collecting offerings of Alms. Visit the morning Phosi Market. Visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, Hmong Village,  Ban Ou, Laoloum Village and Ban Thapene, Khmu Village, and then to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where you can cool off. Continue to Ban Xangkhong, known for its silk weavings and papermaking. Enjoy the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath.

Day 20: Luang Prabang departure (B, G)

Your time will be your own until your departure flight.

Hanoi – the 100 Year Old City

This morning see the Tran Quoc Pagoda. This 1,400 year old temple features ten tiers enclosed by gardens, including a bodhi tree grown from a cutting of the original Buddhist tree under which Buddha sat. Stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake where you’ll see the Tortoise Tower perched on the water. Enjoy a half hour cyclo tour through Hanoi’s the Old Quarter. The cyclo is a historic mode of transportation in the cities of Vietnam where a cyclist leads you while you sit in a canopied seat affixed to the front. Next, visit the One Pillar Pagoda, situated on a pillar made of a single stone, in the midst of a lotus pond. This pagoda was built by a 9th century emperor who saw it in a dream and regarded this as divine inspiration to recreate the structure in his vision.

You'll pass by the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum before visiting the highlight of this day - The Temple of Literature. This ancient university was erected almost a millennium ago and has hosted many of the most prominent scholars through Vietnamese history. The site features many gardens, pools, buildings, and ancient trees where Vietnam’s best and brightest studied under the guidance of Confucius teachings.

Century Cham Ruins and Hoi An Ancient Port Town

In the morning, travel to the My Son Holy Land. Tucked in the mountains up winding roads with serene views, lie the 4th century My Son Holy Land ruins. The surrounding mountains are strictly forbidden for living or development. The ruins lie in a beautiful mountainous landscape. Enter the temples to hear all about the history and stories of the Cham people and this holy site.

In the afternoon, continue on to the Ancient Capital of Hoi An, which features the 16th century port town in its preserved state. Visit the Museum of Trade Ceramics which houses art and pottery dating from the 1,500’s to the 1,700’s. Continue on a brief visit the Chua Ong Pagoda, a temple from the 17th century featuring China's influence in the region. Enter the Ancient Town as the streets take on a magic of their own with old lanterns, French-style houses, intricately carved wooden doors and more Take a walk through the Old Tam Ky House to see it's imperial styles meshed with French overtures. Continue on to stroll along the river and see traditional boats and locals on bicycles passing by. You'll then approach the Japanese Covered Bridge which for centuries connected the Chinese and Japanese sides of town over the waterway. The old wooden structure has shown amazing resilience for more than 400 years.

At dusk, enjoy walking along the riverside as colorful lanterns light up the town. Then return to your hotel for an evening of relaxation.

Flight to Saigon | Best of Saigon.

Today, transfer to airport for flight to Saigon, upon arrive, you will start to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels. Discover these amazing systems developed by the guerrillas fighting in the Vietnam War. You'll have an opportunity to see the various weapons used in the war on display. Then learn about the innovative ways the guerrillas survived and fought back in the war. The impressive underground system they built remains to tell the story of the Vietnam War.

In the afternoon, see the highlights of Saigon and learn the history of these iconic landmarks. You’ll explore some of the most important sights in Ho Chi Minh. Start by visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral. Constructed by French colonists during their settlement, discover its significance as the largest cathedral in Southeast Asia. Across the road is the Old Saigon Post Office, a neoclassical architectural building considered one of the main attractions in the city.

Visit the Reunification Palace, home of South Vietnam’s President during the war. Then stop is Cholon, the Chinatown in Ho Chi Minh. Explore the thickly settled district rife with tea-houses and pagodas, and the famous Binh Tay Market. Finish the afternoon with a visit to the Emperor Jade Pagoda. Also known as the Tortoise pagoda, this figurine-filled place of worship is considered by many to be Saigon's finest.

Mekong Delta Discovery: | Flight to Siem Reap

Discover the Mekong River, essential to Vietnamese life.

This morning, transfer to remote My Tho. This burgeoning capital rests in the Mekong Delta and is surrounded by beautiful countryside known as the "rice basket of Vietnam". First visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, decorated with mosaics made from broken pottery. Overlooked by a tall white Buddha, it is set amongst lovely gardens overflowing with flowers, shrubs, lotus pools and tombs and ornate gates which provide entry. Continue on a boat ride along the river to view the stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages.

After lunch, visit An Khanh, a small village that specializes in fruit orchards and coconut sweets. If time permits, you can take a short cycling trip through the island or explore the island on foot (the island is flat and relatively small). Return to Saigon for your flight this evening to Siem Reap.

Angkor Thom Ancient Capital & Angkor Wat - One of Seven Wonders of the World

After breakfast, begin your explorations of the remains of an ancient civilization that once ruled much of Southeast Asia. Today, visit the ancient capital city of Angkor Thom. First on the agenda is Ta Prohm. Worn by time, rain, and overpowered by the jungle, this immaculate structure hidden under a canopy will leave you feeling as if you’d stepped into an adventure movie set.

Then visit Banteay Kdei ("Citadel of Chambers”). Continue on to the Victory Gate, the Terrace of the Leper King, the Royal Palace, and Baphuon and Bayon. Bayon sets itself apart with its almost 200 smiling faces, sure to make you feel welcomed on your second day to the Kingdom of Wonders. With its winding tunnels, chambers, and daring climbs, Bayon offers many picturesque moments to keep your camera busy.

In the afternoon, be prepared today for one of the Seven Wonders of the World: Angkor Wat.

Enter Angkor Wat and to view its amazing architecture and history. Angkor Wat possesses some of the longest and most intricate stone carving. After visiting Vang Xang, you will stop for photos at the fishing village of Ban Houy Mo, then continue to Vang Vieng, stopping for lunch en route at local restaurant. Luang Prabang: Buddhist Ancient City and Temples

After breakfast, driving toward the ancient city of Luang Prabang. Upon arrival, you will start a visit to the Royal Palace Museum (closed on Tuesday), which hosts a range of interesting artifacts. See the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground and representing classical Laotian architecture. Visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham.

In the afternoon, Visit the Arts and Ethnology Centre to learn about Laos’ many ethnic cultures before heading out of town to see the weaving villages of Ban Xiengkhong and Ban Xienglek. Boat Trip to Pak Ou Caves / Khouang Si Waterfall

This morning, embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River. Along the way, stop at the village of Ban Xanghai , where Laos rice wine and rice whiskey is produced. . You'll be able to try some and learn about the process used to make it. Then on to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves filled with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims.

Lunch will be served near the caves. You'll have the opportunity to try a local dish called "Orlam" which is a soup with vegetables and features a spicy wood that is partially edible. On return, disembark to visit the traditional weaving village of Ban Phanom, famous for its hand woven textiles.

Continue to explore the beautiful Khouang Si Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails.

Explore the market before continuing on to Kanchanburi to learn about the region's storied past and present-day culture. Made famous by the book and movie The Bridge on the River Kwai, the infamous bridge and railway is a notable part of the Kanchanaburi landscape. Visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre to get an understanding of the deadly, Herculean task many Thais were faced with decades ago.

Your fascinating day will start from morning by firstly visit the Long Neck Karen village to see the long neck hill tribe people who relocated from the Thai and Myanmar border. If it is possible, you will also able to visit a Cock Fighting near the hill tribe village. Keep driving to Mt. Doi Mae Salong and visit the Chinese village on the top of the mountain. Lunch will be at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, continue the trip to the highest peak on the Thai-Myanmar border. Doi Tung, provides an opportunity to view enrooted many different Lahu and Akha village as well as terraced farming areas and see from distance the Princess Mother's frigid flower Garden. Doi Tung temple, built in A.D.1493, is located at the peak. Its scenery reminds one of Switzerland, features many unique images and temple architecture over looking the entire northern rice field plain. Chiang Rai | Chiang Mai

After breakfast, visit the White Temple, is an unusual Thai temple designed by artist Chalermchai Kositpipat, who mixes traditional Buddhist temple architecture with pop culture references. Then we will drive toward Chiang Mai to continue your Indochina tour in northern Thailand. After around 2.5 hours drive, you will stop to visit a charity school—School For Life which co-founded by Berlin Free University, it is a children’s village offers free education, accommodation and medical care to children with difficult background. Morning: Transfer to Sagiang, the capital of Sagiang Division located on the Irrawady River. Cross the Inwa Bridge, which was built by the British in 1934. Then visit the Maha Ganayon Kyaung Monastery to see hundreds of monks line up for daily meals. On to visit the U Bein Bridge which is 1.2 kilometers long and is the longest teakwood bridge in the world. Next visit Kaung Mu Taw Pagoda: a dome shaped pagoda which rises up 46 meters. At the base of the pagoda there are 812 stone pillars, each one with a hollow and image of a Nat inside. Continue with a visit to Sagaing Hill. The hill has a number of small pagodas with many meditation centers along with Soon U Ponya Shin Pagoda – a pagoda painted in gold. You may want to stop at monasteries and nunneries to speak with monks while enjoying hot green tea.

Then continue with a visit of Amarapura,"City of Immortality", the old capital of Myanmar. At the end of the day, visit the ancient temple of Pahtodawgyi which was built in 1820.

Flight to Bagan | Valley of a Thousand Temples

This morning, transfer by flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel, the Aureum Palace Hotel for check in.

This afternoon, explore Bagan. See its thousands of Buddhist pagodas spread in the valley of the Ancient City of Bagan. These pagodas were once owned by individual families during prosperous times. Visit the Nyaung Oo Market where locals buy and sell produce. Continue on to the Shwezigon Pagoda , the largest pagoda in Bagan painted with real gold.

Then enjoy a Horse Cart Ride to the small village of Taung Phi for a view of a teak monastery Continue by horse cart around temples and winding roads as the sun makes it's way to the sky's edge casting curious shadows from the temples across the plain. Continue to Shesandaw Pagoda. Watch one of the best sunsets in Southeast Asia before riding back to your hotel.

Bagan/Mt. Popa

This morning start your scenic drive to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano with its golden shrines. Situated 50 km southeast of Bagan, this solitary peak showcases the Popa Taungkalat shrine, the favored home of Myanmar’s most powerful “Nats” (local spirits), statues of which can be found at its base. These spirits were once so important to the country's early Kings that it was essential for them to consult the Nats before commencing their reign. The shrine is located at the top of the mountain , and if you have the energy, take off your shoes and socks to climb to the top (well worth the climb!) Along the way are a multitude of monkeys expecting treat!

Along the way, stop by a local village to learn about local culture and lifestyle. Then enjoy lunch at a hill resort. On the way back visit a palm sugar workshop, where the harvested nectar from local trees is cooked into the sugar cubes we see in teashops today .

This morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Heho. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel, the Aureum Resort and Spa for check in. Day 01: Yangon arrival Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, welcome by our local guide and transfer to your hotel.

Day 02: Yangon – Fly to Bagan (B) Morning Breakfast at Hotel. Check – out hotel and transfer to Airport. Depart for Bagan by domestic flight (schedules flight) (1 hr 20 minutes flying). Arrive Nyaung – U Airport, first visit to Nyaung-Oo morning Market to see people ways of life. The day with visits to the most significant pagodas and temples of Bagan including Shwezigon Pagoda built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th as a religious shrine. Continue visit Annada Temple a whitewashed masterpiece of Mon architecture with four standing Buddhas, and the adjacent brick monastery with the beautiful well – preserved 18th century murals. Visit to Thatbinnyu Temple know as “temples of omniscience” and dating from 1144. Continue visit to the Sulamani temple. Transfer to the hotel and leisure. Afternoon, visit one of Myanmar's most treasured handicrafts , a lacquer ware home Industry: near by Myingabar village. Continue Damayangyi Temple (the massive temple in Bagan). Experience by local Horse–cart way to Pyitthagyi Temple (15 mins). Transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 03: Bagan - Mt. Popa - Bagan (B) Beginning the sixth day in a local horse cart to visit the sightseeing of Bagan and its stupas before leaving and moving to Mt. Popa. Upon arrive in the Mt.Popa, we will head to the dry flat lands and stop at a small village and see how the local make treats from the juice of palm trees. A real experience for anyone! Overnight in Bagan.

Day 04: Bagan – Fly to Mandalay (B) Check–out hotel and transfer to the airport for flight to Mandalay. Arrive at Mandalay International Airport, welcome by our tour guide and driver then start full day sightseeing tour of Mandalay. Firstly, excursion to Amarapura: Maha Gandayone Monastery – home to several thousand young monks where you can watch the whole monastery having their meal silently, 200 years old U Bein teak bridge built in 1728 at the time when Amarapura was Royal capital. Visit traditional hand – woven silk workshop teak posts. Continue on, excursion coach to Sagaing by passing Ava Bridge; enjoy the panoramic view at the top of the hill then visit Silversmith & Kaunghmudaw Pagoda. Drive to Mandalay and free at the leisure. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 05: Mandalay – Mingun (B) Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Jetty and excursion by boat on the Ayeyarwaddy River to Mingun, it takes about 1hr upper river from Mandala. Upon arrival, visit Mingun Bell: the world largest un-cracked bell, weighing 90 tons and visit Hsinbyume as well as unfinished Pagoda built as one of the world's largest cherish by king Bodaw Paya by traditional styled bullock - cart. After sightseeing, sail back to Mandalay. Visit the Shwenandaw Palace also known as Former Royal Palace, which was once king Mindon’s home. Continue, we will experience the sights and sounds of Mandalay including one of the most revered religious images in Myanmar, the Mahamuni Pagoda. Stop to see stone carving and later to see gold leaf being beaten into wafer thin pieces. Visit the Shwenandaw Monastery, excellent example of a traditional wooden building and Kuthodaw Pagoda, the world’s largest book made of marble. Enjoy spectacular views at sunset from Mandalay Hill there are interesting glass-studded temples. Enjoy sunset at Mandalay Hill. Transfer to hotel. Free and leisure. Overnight in Mandalay

Day 06: Mandalay - Heho - Nyaung Shwe Jetty – Inle (B) Morning flight to Heho. Arrive Heho and drive to Nyaungshwe, then to Nyaungshwe on the edge of the Inle Lake which is famous for its unique leg rower. Proceed to Inle lake by local boat, heading to the middle of Inle lake including Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the holiest religious site in Southern Shan State. Floating Market Villages & Gardens where fruit and vegetables are grown. See traditional handicrafts – silk weaving on wooden handlooms and a blacksmith shop. Stop at Ngaphechaung Monastery which is Ancient Teak Wood Monastery. Overnight in Inle Lake.

Day 07: Inle Lake – Fly to Yangon (B) Upon arrival, meet then transfer to the hotel. On the way, visit Mahapasana Cave (if open) where Sixth Buddhist Synod was held, Kaba Aye Pagoda (World Peace Pagoda) and Karaweik Royal Barge (A Royal floating Barge on a lake for the fantastic photo view). Check in to your hotel. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 08: Yangon – Fly to Hanoi (B) Your excursion begins with a tour through Yangon’s colonial style city central. Visit Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda where the biggest reclining Buddha image in Myanmar (73m long) is situated; Sule Pagoda - a landmark in downtown Yangon. Stroll through the Bogyoke (Scotts) market with hundreds of foods, clothes, handicrafts and gems stores, proceed to Yangon’s oldest Chinese temple and at the riverside located Botataung pagoda then visit the Shwedagon Paya- described by Somerset Maugham: "The Shwedagon rose superb, glistening with its gold, like a sudden hope in the dark night of the soul of which the mystics write, glistening against the fog and smoke of the thriving city." This massive bell-shaped stupa rises nearly 100 meters above its hill-top surroundings. Wander through this magnificent structure and its courtyards, stupas, bells, temples, and Buddha images, and see religious and secular visitors from all parts of the globe. Shwedagon has become the symbol of Myanmar. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 09: Hanoi city tour (B, L) This morning, we start our journey to visit famous Ho Chi Minh complex comprising his Mausoleum, former residence, the impressive house on stilts and view the One Pillar Pagoda. Learn more about the historical and cultural events at the peaceful Temple of Literature, known as the Vietnam’s first university since the 11th century. In the afternoon, we visit Ethnographic Museum. To finish the day off, we take an hour by cycle around the old quarter and attend the performance of the unique water puppetry. This is a must and will provide the first not to be forgotten insight into Vietnam. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 10: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay (B, L, D) This morning, we depart for Halong Bay . Passing through the rich farmland of the Red River Delta, we enjoy the lush scenery and photo opportunities. We arrive at Ha Long Pier, board a traditional wooden junk and cruise through the spectacular sights of islands rising from the tranquil emerald sea. Enjoy a sumptuous on-board lunch of special seafood and explore Sung Sot Cave , one of the most beautiful caves in the bay. Witness a splendid sunset. Dinner and overnight on boat.

Day 11: Ha Long - Fly to Hue (B, L) Early morning coffee and tea will be served on the sundeck followed by a Tai Chi class. We continue exploring the magnificent Halong Bay. Change to a small motor or rowing boat to discover the Luon Cave and pass through a pretty entrance which leads to a tranquil round lake, surrounded by luxuriant trees and high stone walls. Upon return to the junk, a sumptuous combining Vietnamese and Western cuisine will be served. After we leave the cruise, we transfer to Bac Ninh province to visit Do temple. Drive to the airport for domestic flight to Hue. Overnight in Hue.

Day 12: Hue city (B, L) We visit the impressive tombs of King Minh Mang and Tu Duc together with Tu Hieu Pagoda, and then cruise on the Perfume River to see the Old Thien Mu Pagoda. In the afternoon, we visit the Forbidden Citadel and the crowded market of Dong Ba, where we can bargain for anything from souvenirs and bronze goods, to Hue sesame sweetmeat and conical poem hats. Overnight in Hue.

Day 13: Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An (B, L) We will drive south to the famous My Khe beach, crossing the spectacular Hai Van pass to reach Hue. On the way, we will stop to see the Cham museum and Marble Mountain. Continuing on, we will arrive Hoi An, check in the hotel and free time. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 14: Hoi An (B, L) This morning, at 09:00 we will start our Hoi An Discovery tour. Hoi An seems to appeal to everyone. This charming town still retains a variety of heritage houses making a stroll around the streets a fabulous option. Guided tour of Hoi An sites includes the Quan Cong Temple, the Quang Dong Pagoda, The Phuoc Kien Pagoda, the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Tran Family Chapel, Sa Huynh Museum and Phung Hung House. Back to the hotel and free at your leisure. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 15: Hoi An – Da Nang – Fly to Ho Chi Minh (B) Free at your leisure until transfer to the airport for fight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, meet then transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 16: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi – Ho Chi Minh (B, L) In the morning we take a half day tour of this dynamic city. First, we visit the Reunification Palace, the former palace of President Thieu and his predecessors. Today this building is a museum and venue for official receptions. Inside you can visit the private rooms of the president, the “War Room” from where the South Vietnamese forces were controlled, and, most poignantly, the room where the North Vietnamese army finally took control in 1975. Next, we visit the War Remnants Museum, Historically, the war museum as part of the Vietnam and World Peace museums system was born on Sep 4 1975 at 28 Vo Van Tan street, district 3, HCMC. Since its 30-year inception, the museum has attracted over 10 million arrivals of domestic and foreign tourists, especially, student delegations from provinces and cities nationwide. It helps reappear the then-wars, helping students well realize on the values of patriotism, struggle for peace and national liberation from forefathers. This museum includes 8 specific exhibitions and various collections of the truth of history (conspiracy and process from hostile forces for the war in Vietnam); crime evidences and war consequences; kinds of weapon and tools serving for the wars; prison (prison house system, concentration camp, torture, maltreatment, corporal mutilation and spiritual oppression against political prisoners). We also stop at the Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office. The post office, built between 1877 and 1883, is an excellent example of classic French colonial architecture. Lunch will be served at a local Vietnamese restaurant. In the afternoon we drive 70 kilometers North West to explore the underground tunnels in Cu Chi which system had been created long time back, from 1948 to assist Viet Minh in the combat with French. It was continuing built over 25 years later. It was an underground city with living areas, kitchens, storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers. In places, it was housed up to 10,000 people who virtually lived underground for years… getting married, giving birth. During the American War the entire area of Cu Chi was designated a free fire zone and was heavily bombarded. From 1988, two sections of tunnels have been open for visitors. You may even have a chance to crawl through the tunnels yourself. We return to Saigon in the late afternoon. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

Day 17: Ho Chi Minh – Mekong delta – Chau Doc (B, L) 08.30 we start the trip from Ho Chi Minh City to Vietnam's rice basket, the Mekong Delta. We will pass through idyllic, rural scenes until we arrive at My Tho, a peaceful town on the bank of the Mekong River, where we will visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda. Next we will have a boat ride on the Mekong, visit local homes and orchards, a coconut candy workshop, a honeybee farm, take a sampan ride on palm-shaded creeks, try a taste of seasonal fruit and honey tea and enjoy a performance of traditional Southern singing. Continue on, we transfer to Chau Doc. Overnight in Chau Doc.

Day 18: Chau Doc – Speed Boat to Phnom Penh (B) Early morning take a speed boat to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, you would be met and transferred to hotel. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 19: Phnom Penh‘s Past & Present (B) Visit to the Royal Palace compound build in 1866 by the Predecessors of King Norodom, is the most conspicuous feature and also one of impressive colorful Khmer-style Palaces. Nearside the Royal Palace is Silver Pagoda (The Emerald Buddha temple), display plenty of Buddha Statues that were decorated and made by diamond, emerald, gold and silver. Travelers will proceed to visit Independence Monument which was constructed in 1954 after Cambodian took their country back from French colony; continuing visit to National Museum, the distinctive red building with a beautiful Khmer architecture was built since 1917 and contains more than 5000 art objects made of sandstone, bronze, silver, copper, wood and others. This afternoon, we will learn about the dark side of Cambodia – Its more recent turbulent and harrowing history. Initially you visit the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum (also known as S21), ironically a former school, located in a quiet Phnom Penh suburb, this was the infamous Khmer Rouge prison / torture centre. Once you have gained an initial insight of the brutality of the Khmer Rouge regime you will be driven 15km from Phnom Penh to visit the 'Killing Fields'. This is where Toul Sleng prisoners were forcibly marched and then executed; it is now a memorial site located in a beautiful tranquil setting. We enjoy our cyclo ride along the riverside. This laidback tour gives us a different perspective of the streets and sights of the city. We will enjoy a cruise for view sunset on the Mekong and Tonle Sap River (1 hour). Situated at the “Four Arms” where the Mekong meets the Tonle Sap River before splitting into two branches, Phnom Penh offers the ideal location to discover the mighty Mekong. Board a nicely restored wooden boat for a day cruise, enjoy the unspoiled landscapes along each bank and visit the traditional villages with their old pagodas on the islands. Stay overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 20: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap (B) Today you travel by road from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. On route you will have a chance to stop on the way to take photo and witness the everyday lives of Cambodians as you pass through interesting provincial towns, bucolic villages, and delightful scenery. This is no ‘freeway dash’ as you will often slow down to let cows and water buffalo wander across the road, pass horse drawn carriages, and school kids walking and cycling to/from school. We may choose to stop at Skoun, also known as ‘Spider vile’ due to the deep fried tarantula that is the local delicacy, are you adventurous enough to try one? On route you may wish to stop off in Kompong Kdei, to look at Spean Pratos – an ancient Angkorian bridge. We continue our journey to one of the floating communities of Siem Reap province, called Kompong Khleang. A world away from the touristic Chong Kneas floating villages, this largest stilted village in Cambodia sees few visitors. Our visit includes a boat trip to see villages with houses that stand about 8 to10meters in the air in dry season or sit level with the water in the wet. Visit the floating village which includes Vietnamese, Cambodians and few Chinese families. A little village walk, a school and pagoda visit all provide excellent opportunities for pictures. Upon arrival in Siem Reap you will check-in to your hotel after which you are free at leisure for the rest of the evening.

Day 21: Siem Reap (B) Rise early to beat the crowds at the photogenic of Ta Prohm "Tomb Raider" fame. Ta Prohm has been abandoned to the elements, a reminder that while empires rise and fall, the riotous power of nature marches on, oblivious to the dramas of human history. Left as it was ‘discovered’ by French explorer Henri Mouhout in 1860, the tentacle-like tree roots here are slowly strangling the surviving stones, man first conquering nature to create, nature later conquering man to destroy. We visit Ta Prohm early to avoid the masses of crowds and provide a unique visit in this incredible temple. We head further out through rural countryside to the small but beautiful temple of Banteay Srei. This temple is largely built of pink sandstone; a harder rock that can be more elaborately carved and better survives the rigors of time. This is an opportunity to capture some good photographs of the clear and detailed carvings. On the way back, cycle on the main road to visit Landmine Museum of Mr. Akira. Mr. Ra is dedicated to clearing the Cambodian countryside of landmines laid during the years of conflict and relies entirely on visitors' donation to fund his work. Not be missed is Banteay Samre: Its rose-colored sandstone walls are decorated with carvings and bas-reliefs, which are among the most accomplished Angkor has to offer. For the later afternoon we head back into main Angkor Park and journey to Tasom. Tasom offers some beautiful photo spots, especially the rear entrance where tree roots adorn the gateway.

Day 22: Bike Tour to Angkor Thom & Ta Prohm & Angkor Wat (B) We hop on our bike to world heritage areas on the roads less travelled. Ride among the jungle passing local village and local shop. It’s a very special and acting day as you will explore some of Angkor’s most beautiful temples. You will visit the West Gate of Angkor Thom – undiscovered by mass tourist. - The ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century) - See the South Gate, Bayon Temple – unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara - Baphuon temple lying just to the north of Bayon a pyramidal representation of mythical Mont Meru - We step to see our old palace as Phimeankas temple in huge complex that was used for our king in the past time. - Then Elephant terrace is platform for king and officer viewed show and people meeting. - Preah Palilay was is older than Angkor Thom was nearby, deeply in forest and on path back You see monk sprinkle water to people. We continue to the famous temple: Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. Then enjoy sunset drinks with a leisurely boat ride on the moat of Angkor Thom and view hidden elements of the ancient Khmer water systems, relaxing and accompanied by the sound of bird song.

Day 23: Siem Reap – Fly to Luang Prabang (B) Transfer to Siem Reap airport for flight to Luang Prabang. Arrive Luang Prabang Int'l Airport by Int'l flight. Meet and greet at airport and welcomed by our tour guide then transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 24: Luang Prabang & Khuangsi Waterfall (B) An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the procession Breakfast, we visit the National Museum that was the former Royal Palace displays a lovely collection of the artefacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign and the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture We continue our excursion toward Khouangsi Waterfall, en route, we visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, Hmong Village, Ban Ou, Laoloum Village and Ban Thapene, Khmu Village, then drive to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where you can splash around in the turquoise pools or walk along the forest trails. The Khouangsi Waterfall setting really illustrates paradise. We return to Luang Prabang by late afternoon and continue to Ban Xangkhong, a village well known for silk hand weaving and for traditional Saa Paper making. We return to the city by late evening then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a panoramic view of the city at sunset and the Mekong River. The tour ends after a visit to the famous Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang

Day 25: Luang Prabang – Bakbeng via Pak Ou cave (B) Heading out of the town, we take a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make local rice wine. We then continue our boat trip to the atmospheric riverside town of Pakbeng. The Mekong was once the only major transport route in the country, Pakbeng, being the halfway point on the Mekong River between Luang Prabang and HoueiSay, developed as an overnight stop for many traders travelling along the river. This scenic and authentic river cruise has been described as a once in a lifetime experience. We will reside in Pakbeng overnight.

Day 26: Pakbeng – Houixai (B) After breakfast, we will visit the local market where many hill tribe people converge from the outlying valleys and hillsides to sell their goods and buy provisions. Upon leaving Pakbeng, we say good bye our tour guide and driver and welcomed by a new tour guide on the boat then start our journey toward Houei Say Arrival Houixai, cross to the border to Thailand then check in to your hotel near the border. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 27: Houixai – Chiang Rai – Half day tour Chiang Rai (B) Houei Say surrounding is the common home of 34 ethnic minorities. Specially, the Lu hill tribe is the particular group that we will visit after breakfast. Then we drive shortly to Chiang Khong, Thailand and say goodbye at the Lao-Thai border for Chiang Rai. In the afternoon, visit the Wat Phra Kaew, said to have been the original place where the Emerald Buddha was found, now venerated in the Bangkok's Wat Phra Kaew Chapel. Proceed to Wat Phra Singha that is a fine example of Lanna Thai religious architecture. Continue to the Ob Khum Museum Lanna Heritage Conservation Centre, which is known to embrace a collection of objects from the areas affiliated with the Lanna kingdom including ritual objects and objects used at the Royal courts. If time permits, we also tour the Wat Rong Khun. Unlike the many temples with centuries of history behind them, Wat Rong Khun (also known as the White temple) was only built recently. Construction began in 1998 and is expected to take seven generations to fulfil the design and vision of noted local artist Chalermchai Kositpipat who is overseeing the project. Visit the most popular fresh market of the Chiang Rai town and return to the hotel. A perfect half day to get to know the city! Overnight in Chiang Rai.

Day 28: Chiang Rai - Full Day Long Neck Karen & Boat Trip (B, L) Depart from your clients’ hotel in Chiang Rai to make a visit to the world-renowned Long-necked Karen hill tribe village at Ya Pha, located in a small settlement near Chiang Rai and a local Lisu settlement at Bann Pong Pa Kam. The women at Ya Pha wear brass rings on their necks and limbs. The number of the rings increases according to their ages. Their shoulder blades are pressed lower and lower while their necks seem to be longer and longer. The Karen themselves are not one single group but rather a loose mix of closely related tribes. Among the smallest of the Karen tribes in Thailand are the Karen Padaung. Lunch is included at a local restaurant. After lunch, we sail with our motor boat to admire the Lahu Hill tribe village at Bann Pha Yai, the only village around this region of Northern Thailand with Lahu descendants. Lunch is included at a local restaurant en route. Natural hot springs have been discovered in several areas in Thailand – especially in the north and southern part of Thailand. Some of them have been developed into tourist attractions; some even offer health packages combining mineral baths, Thai traditional massage and fitness facilities. We will make a stop and explain the history about these natural phenomenons. You arrive in the afternoon, back at your hotel in Chiang Rai.

Day 29: Chiang Rai – Chiang Mai (B) Breakfast at the hotel then transfer to Chiang Mai, stop on the way to take photos and local people. Arrival Chiang Mai in the afternoon, check-in to the hotel then free at your leisure. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 30: Full Day Elephant Safari & Ox-cart Ride (B, L) After breakfast, we take a full day tour to experience the beauty of the north. Our first stop will be made at a beautiful orchid nursery & next door butterfly farm in the Mae Rim District. Then, we continue our journey through the hilly, and forest area, just north of the city to see the elephants at work at Mae Taman camp a lovely place behind the hills. Here, we will give you the chance to make a journey through the forest on the back of these gentle animals; you will be crossing the river and get up and close with the jungle (approximately half an hour). The ox and cart is another traditional means of transportation and you will experience this; a 30-minutes’ ox-drawn cart brings you at a leisurely pace past rural villages. This journey gives you a direct insight into of how the inhabitants life and dwell in the northern part of Thailand. Lunch will be provided during the day. The afternoon is reserved for a 5 kilometers’ long bamboo rafting along the beautiful Mae Taeng River to the raft station before heading back into Chiangmai. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 31: Chiang Mai – Fly to Bangkok – Half day city & temple (B) After breakfast, transfer to the airport for flight to Bangkok and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, take a half day city & temple tour. One of the most popular tours, bringing you along 3 of the most stunning temples, Bangkok has to offer! It features the “Wat Traimit” with its 5, 5, ton heavy Golden Buddha Image, the Wat Chetuporn (commonly known as the Wat Po), that boasts the over 45-meters long Reclining Buddha. Wat Pho is also regarded as the first centre of public education and is sometimes called ‘Thailand’s first university’. Mural paintings, inscriptions, and statues found in the temple-educated people on varied subjects such as literature, warfare, archaeology, astronomy, geology, meditation and to be considered, home of the Thai traditional massage. We end the tour with a visit to the Wat Benchamaborpit (also known as the Marble Temple): a representation of an outstanding success of marriage between Italian Carrara marble and classical Thai architecture. Especially for those interested to know a bit more about Buddhism and its history, combined with the always-busy city life. Overnight in Bangkok.

Day 32: Bangkok – Floating market (B, L) Full Day Damnoensaduak Floating Market with Lunch at Rose Garden follows by Thai Cultural Show This most, interesting full day tour takes you to the rural yet world-famous floating market of Damnern Saduak, situated around 100 kilometers west of Bangkok. The tour includes a visit to Nakorn Pathom; site of the highest Chedi in Thailand called "Phra Pathom Chedi, which is the largest pagoda in Southeast Asia. An excellent international buffet lunch will be served at the picturesque Rose Garden Aprime Country Resort. Afterwards, you will attend the Thai village show at the Thai Village, giving you a short introduction into the many customs of Thai life. Phnom Penh Highlights - Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, National Museum, Killing Fields, Genocide Museum, Russian Market

Start your day with a visit to the Royal Palace and the awe-inspiring Silver Pagoda in the morning. At the National Museum, enrich your understanding of Cambodia's rich history. Lunch is a local treat at a nearby restaurant.

Then, embark on a poignant journey to the Killing Fields of Choeung Ek, located 15 kilometers from Phnom Penh. This haunting site serves as a somber reminder of the brutal executions of over 17,000 individuals. Many endured interrogations, torture, and suffering at Toul Sleng Prison during the Pol Pot regime (from 1975 to 1979).

Continue to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, formerly S21 prison, which was a school turned into a place of anguish by Pol Pot's security forces. It became the largest center for detention and torture under the Khmer Rouge.
