The Best of Eastern Europe Tour

The Best of Eastern Europe

Excellent tour and with a small group it was easy to get to & enjoy everything. There were a couple of hiccups. More to do with local public transport and out of the hands of our CEO, Jakub. He took everything in stride though and went above and beyond to assist some of the group when they needed it My first group tour and I was pleasantly surprised. G Adventures did a stellar job with this tour and comments from other, who have done other G Adventures’ tours, members of group said they are generally good value

Europe Jewel Tour

Europe Jewel

Having Gustavo Gomes as a Team Leader and combination with Sebastiano as a Coach driver really made a difference in having a memorable experience our first trip in Europe.

The Great Adventure Tour

The Great Adventure

The trip was great. My concern is with the tour guide Antia, one morning she wasted everybody on the buses time by waiting more than 30 minutes for a couple who was always running late. This caused a ripple effect and caused us to miss our boat tour and have to take it an hour later then consequently affecting the rest of our day. Because of this we only had 30 minutes to explore Rouen. And when we arrived to Rouen the stores were all closing. When the bus passengers asked her why they couple couldn’t just meet us at our next stop about 30 minutes away instead of causing all of us to miss our boat trip, she yelled at me on the bus in front of all other passengers. Please make sure you give your tour guides some training in basic manners.

All About Balkans (4 Star Hotels) Tour

All About Balkans (4 Star Hotels)

Excellent tour company. My request for optional tour to Medjugorje Apparition Hill of the Virgin Mary was accommodated since it’s on the way to another option tour to Kravice Falls. The tour guide Simon from Travel Talk operator is the best keeping the group interact with each other that everyone bonded well. Simon made sure that my sister is taken cared of waiting at the meeting place while the group do the walking tour during the heat wave. One of the group got lost when it’s time to leave and Simon went to look for him in the town square full of tourists and luckily found him going the opposite direction from the meeting place. Simon treated all of us like family. Chris the driver is also an excellent tour bus driver. He made sure that everyone is safe with his driving skills in narrow roads and highways. He takes selfies group picture for all of us including him of course because he is part of the group family. Overall this is the best land tour company my family has ever been and we had several before this. I would highly recommend Tour Radar to everyone going to do All about Balkans 12 days.

Essential Britain & Ireland Tour

Essential Britain & Ireland

Covered alot of ground and very busy of course with never enough time, but that was expected. Great driver, found tour director somewhat unenthusiastic - would have liked more concise info on how each day was going to progress and a little more interaction with the group. Hotel Metropole was so hot and too noisy to have window open - most of the hotel rooms were so hot all night. Holiday Inn York room was rather well tread and dirty. Other than that a great trip with excellent meals except the dinner at Holiday Inn York.

Best of Ireland and Scotland (15 Days) Tour

Best of Ireland and Scotland (15 Days)

Great tour director and coach driver

What people love about Europe Tours

Overall, a well organized trip. Eva is an awesome tour guide. Perhaps more cautions and security should be emphasized especially in Italy as some of our luggage and laptop were stolen when checking in at the hotel.
Great experience. Very fun.

Banya (Elektrostal) - All You MUST Know Before You Go (2024)

Taylor Swift is about to go back on tour: Here's what to expect on the Eras Tour in Paris

tours to go on

After a two-month break, Taylor Swift is revitalizing her titanic Eras Tour in Paris, and fans believe there are changes coming to the show.

If you are wondering where she's playing, if there will be changes and how to score tickets, here's everything we know.

And if you're new to the Eras Tour party, you can get caught up on the first 83 shows here .

When does the Eras Tour start again?

Swift kicks off the European leg of her tour on Thursday, May 9, in Paris. She will perform Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, as well, in the City of Light.

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

What are Taylor Swift's tour dates in Europe?

There are 69 shows left in the Eras Tour: 51 in Europe, nine in America and nine in Canada.

The European leg stretches from May all the way through a five-night stand at Wembley Stadium in London in mid-August.

See a complete list of international dates here .

After she wraps up in Europe, Swift will stop in Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis before wrapping up in Canada.

See the remaining U.S. dates here .

What is the Eras Tour set list?

The Eras Tour has featured a massive 45-song set list you can check out here . But speculation is swirling it won't look the same when Swift takes the stage in Paris.

Will Taylor Swift add 'The Tortured Poets Department' to her set list?

The tortured poet has been on hiatus keeping her stamina up by releasing a double album of 31 tracks. The 2-hours-and-2-minutes project broke a number of Billboard records as the superstar did zero press to promote it. Fans flocked to stores and streaming services to listen to all the songs from "Fortnight" to "The Manuscript."

Although the singer has not confirmed whether her 11th era album will be added to her Eras Tour set list, she did post a YouTube shorts video with two scenes that sent Easter egg decoders into a frenzy. In one of the shots, the singer is next to a railing where a "TTPD" logo appears to be (at 0:11). In the succeeding shot, her back-up dancers perform holding canes and wearing top hats, something they have not worn previously.

Swift's dancers and bandmates posted to their Instagram stories as they left for France last week. The singer did not appear at two media events with her boyfriend Travis Kelce: the Kentucky Derby and a Formula 1 race in Miami , Florida. Patrick Mahomes, Kelce's friend and Kansas City's quarterback, attended the car racing spectacular with his wife, Brittany.

Can I still get Eras Tour tickets?

Swift's show is completely sold out in Europe and North America. There are resale sites with tickets, but be wary of scams. The best way to avoid getting swindled is continuously checking links on Swift's website . There are some for resale on the sites verified by her camp.

Singapore was a hotbed for fans who traveled thousands of miles only to get turned away at the venue. In Tokyo and Australia, last-minute ticket drops happened a few days — without announcement — ahead of the shows.

Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis — the three U.S. cities Swift is visiting in the fall — have some of the heftiest price tags with Canada closely behind. In may be cheaper to travel to Warsaw, Poland, or Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Here's a list of cities with the cheapest resale tickets, according to travel website  Islands.com .

10. Vienna, Austria — total average cost: $1,089, safety score: 69.72

9. Cardiff, U.K. — total average cost: $1,061, safety score: 61.83

8. Lyon, France — total average cost: $1,047, safety score: 44.3

7. Lisbon, Portugal — total average cost: $1,028, safety score: 70.15

6. Munich, Germany — total average cost: $1,000, safety score: 78.88

5. Paris, France — total average cost: $971, safety score: 41.83

4. Stockholm, Sweden — total average cost: $935, safety score: 53.86

3. Hamburg, Germany — total average cost: $903, safety score: 57.51

2. Gelsenkirchen, Germany — total average cost: $749, safety score: 51.33

1. Warsaw, Poland — total average cost: $712, safety score: 72.98

Catch Taylor Swift live with tickets at Vivid Seats , shop merchandise , and stream her latest on Disney+ . Purchases you make through our links may earn us and our publishing partners a commission.

Who are the opening acts?

Paramore launched the Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona, in March 2023, so it's fitting the American rock band is opening the tour's second year. The act will open for Swift for 51 shows across Europe . The band was dubbed the 2024 Record Store Day global ambassador and surprised fans in Nashville the weekend following the release of "The Tortured Poets Department."

When the tour comes back to North America in October , Swift's opening act will be Gracie Abrams.

Where can I watch if I don't have tickets?

The Eras Tour is one of the first tours that has been followed, globally, by thousands of fans on digital platforms. Fans dedicate part of their concert experience to livestreaming as Swift performs. A few Swifties have learned how to host their own shows over social media including Tess Bohne , known as the livestream queen. Bohne goes live for (almost) every show pulling streams from Instagram and TikTok. When a livestream goes down, she fills the time with banter.

On YouTube, user @TaylorSwiftHockeyBro also livestreams the three-hour show, and on Twitch, @folkleric , is a host fans follow.

There is also an app, Swift Alert , that notifies fans who only want to watch certain eras like the acoustic, surprise set. The app sends out push alerts if there are any major announcements.

What secret songs are left?

For the past 83 shows, Swift has played an acoustic set she customizes at each stop with a guitar and piano performance. In 2024, the Eras Tour star added mashups of her songs for each stop. Here are the songs she has yet to perform:

  • "Taylor Swift" (debut album): "Mary's Song" and "A Perfectly Good Heart"
  • "Fearless": "The Way I Loved You," "Change," "Superstar," "We Were Happy," "That's When," "Don't You" and "Bye Bye Baby"
  • "Red": "Girl At Home," "Ronan," "Forever Winter" and "Run"
  • "1989": "Sweeter Than Fiction"
  • "Reputation": "I Did Something Bad"
  • "Lover": "London Boy," "Soon You'll Get Better" and "It's Nice to Have a Friend"
  • "Folklore": "Hoax"
  • "Evermore": "Happiness" and "Closure"
  • "Midnights": "Paris" and "Glitch"
  • "The Tortured Poets Department": all 31 tracks

Will Taylor Swift perform in 2025?

There have been many rumors that Swift will continue her show in 2025, but they are only rumors. Nothing has been announced for next year, and as of now, the tour will end in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Dec. 8.

Eighteen years ago, Madonna observed : “Once you pass 35, your age becomes part of the first sentence of anything written. It’s a form of limiting your options and almost putting you in your place. For women, naturally.” She was 47 when she said that and intent on challenging the cultural script that suggested women, especially female performers, had a use-by date.

“Why is that acceptable?” she asked the music writer Brian Hiatt nearly 10 years later, still battling critics who told her to dress her age, act her age — in short, pack it in and retreat from the spotlight because she was past her prime. “Women, generally, when they reach a certain age, have accepted that they’re not allowed to behave a certain way. But I don’t follow the rules.”

To the question “Is she still relevant?” her Celebration Tour, which concluded this month, is proof that she is. Madonna performed before the largest audience ever gathered to watch a female artist and staged the single biggest free stand-alone concert in history: 1.6 million people turned Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana Beach into a dance floor on May 4. According to Billboard , her six-month, 80-show tour grossed $225.4 million, making her the only woman in history to gross more than $100 million during each of six concert tours. (The only solo male in that category is Bruce Springsteen.)

But there’s so much more to her triumph than numbers. That a 65-year-old female pop star pulled off this tour and, despite our increasingly intolerant times, the performance was her most relentlessly and delightfully queer since 1990’s groundbreaking Blond Ambition Tour would be unimaginable, except that it was Madonna. The Celebration Tour proved that Madonna wasn’t afraid of drawing attention to her long career; she owned it proudly.

All of her past selves showed up, in role and in costume, to help celebrate the many ways she has evolved and the many ways she and her collaborators have explored and expressed gender throughout the years. It was a beautifully inclusive, encouraging spectacle. If history is a guide, the social and artistic ramifications of her performance will extend long after her tour.

Madonna’s 1985 Virgin Tour, her debut, included only 40 shows in North America and grossed about $5 million. But its impact on young lives is immeasurable. The young women and girls in her audience were on the cusp of unleashing their sexual selves and embracing their independence, which is what made them so terrifying to a broader society intent on keeping them polite, passive and manageable.

Madonna’s message to her young audience was: Embrace your power, dream big and dare to be your own damned self. That message would resonate through a generation and across the globe, as aspiring Madonnas grew up to be politicians, lawyers, doctors, teachers, members of the armed forces, Third Wave feminists, riot grrrls and pop stars themselves.

Madonna was, in fact, the lead author of the female pop star playbook, and she continues to write the unexplored and perilous back end of it while artists like Olivia Rodrigo and Billie Eilish adapt the front end and more established stars like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift refine what’s possible in the middle. Madonna’s continuous career represents a universe of possibility for their own, despite the entertainment industry’s willingness to jettison midcareer women in favor of artists with younger faces and bodies.

But for women not named Madonna (or Beyoncé or Taylor Swift), growing older and maturing in public is much more fraught. Older men are considered wise, but older women are often ignored or discounted. Thanks to the intervention of the pharmaceutical industry, men are encouraged to have an active sex life into their 80s. The idea of older women having sex remains, for many, repellent.

Madonna has challenged our notions of what a woman should do and be on all those counts: She chooses to age as she sees fit, she says what she believes loudly and forcefully, and she is as proudly sexual as she was in 1985.

With her Celebration Tour, Madonna demonstrated night after night for six months that an older woman can exhibit power and strength — joyfully, generously and defiantly. Her glorious performance was perhaps even sweeter when we recall that hip and knee injuries disrupted her Madame X tour four years ago and a bacterial infection threatened not only the Celebration Tour but also Madonna’s life.

Forty years ago, Madonna showed audiences, particularly girls and women, that they could mute the killjoy chorus keeping them from self-realization. On the Celebration Tour, Madonna doubled down on this idea, encouraging fans to follow their hearts, minds and inner freaks by both being herself onstage and employing diverse and talented dancers to carry that message in their own convincing and resonant ways.

If this were the last tour of Madonna’s career — and we sincerely hope it was not — she would retire as the most influential female pop star of all time, a legitimate legend who wowed audiences, defied expectations and broke records. Having served more than 40 years in the public eye, she could take a holiday, take some time to celebrate. It would be, it would be so nice.

Don't Get Scammed: How to Safely Purchase Resale Concert Tickets

Don't miss out on the must-see summer concert because of sketchy event tickets. Here's what to know.

tours to go on

If you missed out on your favorite artist's presale, we've got you covered

The most nerve-wracking part of every concert I've experienced  is scanning my ticket before gaining access to the event. Although I always buy my ticket during the original sale and from reputable sellers, I always have a nagging fear that it will be rejected at the door. Thankfully, that's never happened to me, but it is not impossible.

I was lucky enough to attend Taylor Swift's Eras Tour  concert last year, and leading up to the show, I read countless horror stories of fans buying resold tickets, only to be turned away at the entrance. I've personally never bought a concert or event ticket secondhand -- mostly because of the risk associated with purchasing resale tickets.

CNET Money Tips logo

This doesn't mean that buying event tickets on the secondary market is inherently unsafe. Many people often resell their tickets because they can't attend the event, and they're just looking to recoup what they initially spent on the ticket. Scammers can take advantage of the excitement and hype surrounding an event, and swindle eager fans looking for a last-minute ticket to their favorite artist's concert or favorite team's game.

Recently, the House of Representatives passed the TICKET Act, which seeks to protect consumers from unfair ticketing practices. According to Variety, if enacted the new law will "require ticket sellers to implement simple all-in pricing; ban speculative ticketing... ban deceptive websites and website marketing; provide full refunds for any canceled event; offer comparable replacement tickets for any postponed event with buyers' approval; and require the FTC to issue a report on the BOTS Act Enforcement"

While the act does have significant bipartisan support , it still needs to pass a Senate vote before being sent to President Joe Biden's desk to be signed into law. While this is a significant step in federal protections surrounding ticketing practices, these proposed changes probably won't go into effect for a while.

It's important to be wary when you're shopping around for tickets online, and these expert tips and tricks can help keep you safe when you're buying resale tickets online.

For more info, here's  how to keep your concert tickets safe and how to spot SMS phishing scams .

Wait for the tour to actually go on sale before buying a secondhand ticket

This might seem like an obvious tip but don't buy any tickets from an online reseller before the actual tour tickets have gone on sale. This process, called speculative ticketing , is when those wishing to take advantage of fan excitement might try to sell event tickets before they even have a ticket to sell. After the 2022 Taylor Swift ticket fiasco , more and more states are beginning to crack down on event ticketing practices, with Maryland becoming the first to take action against speculative ticketing.

While you might be able to get lucky if the seller you are purchasing from gets their hands on an event ticket, the risk doesn't outweigh the reward here. You don't want to be out a hundred dollars or more and show up on event day with no way in.

Be wary of your payment method

Another tip (which comes straight from Ticketmaster's website) is to be wary of your payment method. The ticketing company recommends avoiding direct payment methods that don't really tell you what you are purchasing, or that require a direct transfer of money.

Ticketmaster notes that a common scam would require the buyer to send the seller gift cards as payment. According to Ticketmaster's blog, "Ticketmaster will never ask you to purchase a Ticketmaster Gift Card or any type of third-party gift card to use as a form of payment for tickets."

The Better Business Bureau  recommends that you protect yourself by using your credit card if purchasing through a website since most credit card companies have robust fraud protection policies. You should never give someone your credit card information over the phone as a form of payment.

Try to buy from the same website where the seller bought their ticket

To be certain that you will get a genuine ticket, try buying from the original source of the ticket. Generally, this will be Ticketmaster, which allows ticket holders to resell directly on the Ticketmaster website.

Beware, scammers can still pose as Ticketmaster to scam you out of your money. If you see an email, text or website you're not sure is legit, you can always reach out to Ticketmaster's official support page to double-check.

If buying on social media, be vigilant

If you decide to purchase your ticket on social media to dodge ticketing fees and dynamic pricing, know that you're taking a riskier path and be aware of who you are purchasing from. Check out their profile and see if they look like a real person. You can run a reverse image search on images on their profile, and if the images don't come up or are attached to the seller's other social media profiles, that could indicate they are a real person.

Real people run scams all the time, so use your best judgment when looking for tickets to purchase secondhand. If something seems too good to be true, or you have a bad gut feeling, then stay away. No matter how badly you want to go to this concert or event, it's not worth compromising your personal information and money.

If everything seems legit, and you're going through with a ticket purchase, be sure to use a payment method that protects you. Using PayPal's Goods and Services (instead of a transfer between friends and family) provides some pretty major protection  and is recommended widely.

Scottie Scheffler shoots 73 on Saturday at PGA, snapping streak of 42 consecutive rounds under par

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The streak is over.

Scottie Scheffler shot 2-over 73 in the third round of the PGA Championship, snapping a run of 42 consecutive rounds under par on the PGA TOUR. Tiger Woods holds the record of 52 consecutive under-par rounds, set in 2001.

It was a tale of two rounds for Scheffler at Valhalla Golf Club. After a remarkable second-round 66 on Friday, a testament to his resilience and focus despite his early-morning arrest, Scheffler struggled to maintain the same energy and play on Saturday. The world No. 1 was 4-over through four holes and could not recover.

“I was battling as hard as I could but it seemed every time I birdied, I bogeyed the next hole, which is quite frustrating,” Scheffler said. “I was able to make enough birdies to get a decent round but just way, way too many mistakes today.”

Scheffler made a double-bogey on the par-4 second hole, unable to get the ball on the green after finding thick greenside rough with his approach shot. He three-putted on the third for a bogey and hit his tee shot out of bounds on the drivable par-4 fourth hole. After taking a drop near the green, Scheffler chunked his pitch shot and went on to make a bogey. The reigning Masters champion failed to sustain any momentum the rest of the day. Scheffler made five birdies but immediately bogeyed the next hole on three occasions.

It was an understandable performance, given the chaotic nature of Scheffler’s week. He acknowledged he woke up on Saturday feeling fatigued and didn’t go through his regular pre-round routine.

“I was definitely– did not feel like myself today,” he said. “Yesterday happened and I did my best to recover from it and come out here and compete today. I did a great job yesterday of coming out and competing, riding the adrenaline and this morning was definitely not my usual routine for a round, if that makes sense.”

Irrelevant to the streak, the round was costly in what was a big spot for Scheffler, seeking his fifth TOUR victory this season and the second leg of the major Grand Slam. After entering the day at 9-under, three shots back of the lead, Scheffler walked off the 18th green 7-under, eight shots behind leaders Xander Schauffele and Collin Morikawa.

It’s likely too big a deficit to overcome, but Scheffler will get a vital part of his team back on Sunday. Ted Scott, Scheffler’s full-time caddie, missed Saturday’s round to attend his daughter’s high school graduation but is expected to return for the final round. Scheffler’s friend Brad Payne filled in during the third round.

Scheffler’s under-par streak dated back to the final round of the 2023 TOUR Championship. His 41 consecutive rounds under par to begin the 2024 TOUR season is the longest streak to begin a season on TOUR since 1983.

“I came out here hoping to have a good round and wasn’t able to get it done which is pretty frustrating but I’ll come back and try again tomorrow,” Scheffler said.

2024 PGA Championship prize money, purse: Payouts for Xander Schauffele, golfers from $18.5 million pool

This year's purse represents the largest in pga championship history.

wanamaker-trophy-pga-valhalla-2024-g.png

The Wanamaker Trophy and a substantial winner's check were awarded Sunday at Valhalla Golf Club to Xander Schauffele, winner of the 2024 PGA Championship . Raising the purse for the PGA Championship by $1 million from a year ago, the PGA of America is shelling out the largest prize pool in the history of its championship with a total purse of $18.5 million.

A hefty $3.3 million prize will be awarded to Schauffele for going 21 under in Louisville with seven-figure sums being paid out to those golfers who finished on the podium but fell short of the top prize. Every player inside the top 10 by the end of the championship is taking home at least $500,000 with each golfer inside the top 31 cashing a check north of $100,000.

The payouts fall slightly short of those handed out after the 2024 Masters -- and from signature events on the PGA Tour -- both of which held purses of $20 million. Scottie Scheffler won $3.6 million for capturing his second green jacket, though that didn't even represent his largest payday of the season as he claimed $4 million at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and $4.5 million at the Players Championship.

Not only did those who made the weekend come away from their time in Kentucky with a little green to show for it, so will those who missed the cut. All players who carded a 36-hole total will receive $4,000 for their troubles. Considering how many PGA professionals were in the field, that's not bad for two days work.

Let's take a look at a breakdown of the PGA Championship purse.
